SPEAKER_03Yo!
SPEAKER_04I look like Ed G what's his last name? Geen.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, we're doing a podcast with old Eddie Geen right now.
SPEAKER_04I shaped my face, which I do weekly, and then I put on a collagen mask after, and it makes my skin feel so soft and so moist.
SPEAKER_03You look crazy.
SPEAKER_04But right now you have to look at me while I look like that.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, you look absolutely insane.
SPEAKER_04I kind of made a bad choice because talking makes it fall down. Stop looking at me like that.
SPEAKER_03What does he all say?
SPEAKER_04Mother.
SPEAKER_03No, that's not asking you.
SPEAKER_04What?
SPEAKER_03I can't remember. It's been a while since we watched that show.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, and we'll never watch it again. That's all I have to say about that.
SPEAKER_03I don't even know what he says.
SPEAKER_04I have two topics to bring to the table today. Oh yeah? Before we get into our stories. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03What? Something that made that I did to make you mad?
SPEAKER_04No.
SPEAKER_03Oh.
SPEAKER_04I have a feeling one of them will cause a marital spat, but that's okay. We come on here and give it give marriage advice like we know what what the fuck we're doing. So you might as well.
SPEAKER_03So we should just start a fight on the podcast for everybody. Sounds like a great idea.
SPEAKER_04What do you want first? Someone fucking their cousin or Taylor Frankie Paul?
SPEAKER_03Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Let's ease into this.
SPEAKER_04Taylor Frankie Paul?
SPEAKER_03Sure.
SPEAKER_04Um I'm kind of just curious about how you're feeling. For those of you who don't know who Taylor Frankie Paul is, you're living under a rock. Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. The head of mom talk recently had her bachelorette season canceled for domestic violence. How do how do you feel about that?
SPEAKER_03I don't know. It's just kind of weird because the video that they released came out in freaking 2023. Yeah. So, like, why do you guys care now? Because someone leaked it and it went out, and now you have to like face the fact. Because you were supporting her before this all happened.
SPEAKER_04And they knew, like the first episode of Mom Talk, she got arrested for this fight.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. So I don't know. It's just kind of weird that that they like decided to pull her now and not support her now. I don't know, it's kind of weird.
SPEAKER_04I've been seeing a lot of videos that are like, we grew up with Jersey Shore watching Ronnie and Sam. We can handle Taylor, Frankie, Paul on The Bachelorette.
SPEAKER_03Oh, yeah. You don't know toxic relationships until you've seen Ron and Sam.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Right? I'm feeling torn because well, I think the whole internet is feeling torn, but like mm-hmm have both been the child in the room while this is happening. And I've been a woman in this, I've kind of been her. Not to this extent, but I've had a man drive me to this side of crazy before. So, and you know what's crazy? I've been both of these women, and I don't feel bad for the man on either side of these situations. I don't feel bad for Dakota. And he was the one who had the violence thrust upon him.
SPEAKER_03I don't really feel bad for him either because he definitely was like seeking that. Like they're so toxic for each other. Like he knew what he was getting himself into. Not that that makes her actions okay, but he definitely wasn't helping the situation at all.
SPEAKER_04Mm-mm. I have a lot of empathy for her right now and her kids.
SPEAKER_03I don't know. I I feel less empathy for her, to be honest with you.
SPEAKER_04Than whom?
SPEAKER_03I just I just don't feel like that much empathy for her, to be honest with you.
SPEAKER_04I do.
SPEAKER_03Because she is the one, like at the end of the day, she's responsible for her own actions. Like nobody made her throw chairs and hit her children or hit her daughter. I know she didn't do it on purpose, like she wasn't trying to do that, I'm sure.
SPEAKER_04I feel bad for her because I think she was trying to grow and learn. Like the whole new season of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives was her trying to learn about her dad and asking all these questions. And it is kind of ironic that her dad abused her mom and was an addict. And you could kind of see Taylor's will spinning while she was listening to her dad's friend talk about this. Like almost in her head, she was like putting these pieces together and starting to have realizations about who she is and why she acts certain ways in certain scenarios. So I have empathy for her that she is trying. She's just stuck in this really toxic cycle. And I think The Bachelorette would have been a good starting point for her to finally move on and get away from him, and he ruined that for her.
SPEAKER_03No, she decided to sleep with him the day before she went. So, like, was she trying that hard not to talk to him?
SPEAKER_04Do you think she came on to him or he came on to her and be realistic?
SPEAKER_03Didn't she go to his house?
SPEAKER_04He was at her house.
SPEAKER_03Okay, well, she had to have invited.
SPEAKER_04I mean, I'm not saying she's not involved at all. It takes two to tango, but I think she was I think she wanted to get away from him and wanted to do better. And I think he continued to hang around her outside of being parents with. Because he wanted to be part of the show. Dad talk.
SPEAKER_03I mean, he would have been part of that with or without her.
SPEAKER_04Uh-uh. Tate, her ex-husband, not involved at all. That's what should have happened to Dakota. He should have just become another Tate, and we shouldn't have had to see him ever again.
SPEAKER_03Okay, well, I could care less about Dakota and that whole thing. But I'm just saying I you can't feel that much empathy for her when she continually put herself in that position. Whether or not you want to blame it on, but you're trying to blame it all on Dakota.
SPEAKER_04I hate Dakota, I think.
SPEAKER_03You're trying to blame all of this on him.
SPEAKER_04Like she definitely He just seems like the snake in the grass.
SPEAKER_03Maybe he is, but she kept letting him in.
SPEAKER_04I mean, psychological warfare goes deep. I just hope we see a new.
SPEAKER_03She's not innocent either. She definitely was like physically assaulting him, so.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, but we missed all the we missed everything in the beginning. We miss what led to this situation. And yeah, it's not right to get violent, especially in front of your children, but there's a lot of pages to the story that are missing, and we just saw that. Conveniently, we just saw Dakota being a victim.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but for to play devil's advocate, for all you know, you she could be the problem the whole time. Like you just said, you don't know.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, but we watch him on the series, and I can see him being the problem.
SPEAKER_03Okay, you that's how you feel. That doesn't necessarily mean it's true. Just playing devil's advocate here.
SPEAKER_04I know. I see you and I hear you.
SPEAKER_03Like you you literally just said how much of the story is missing.
SPEAKER_04A lot of it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. So we may never know the situation.
SPEAKER_04I just think that she tends to when situations land on her plate, she tends to be really honest and truthful. Whereas with him, I can't tell if he's being honest.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and he might not, but like, look at her, she we know she has anger issues. She flies off the rails all the time with other girls, with whoever.
SPEAKER_04I mean, I've dated a guy who who created anger issues out of me similar to this, and I don't think I'm someone who is that way.
SPEAKER_03Right. But that's what I'm saying. Like, it wasn't just him that she was like flying off the handle with. Like, she's known for like losing her shit. Not just about Dakota.
SPEAKER_04She is pretty hot-headed.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04I just think a lot of blame is being placed on Taylor and it's not fair.
SPEAKER_03I mean, they both deserve the blame for sure. They both are part of it.
SPEAKER_04I just hope we get to see. I hope I hope Secret Lives of Mormon Wives comes back.
SPEAKER_03I saw that they were doing something with uh Jen, I heard.
SPEAKER_04I saw that Jen in Orange County with I I saw like an East Coast and she's involved.
SPEAKER_03Well, that would be the West Coast.
SPEAKER_04I know. Well, that's what I was confused about because the post I saw was talking about East Coast Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, and then I saw something about Orange County. So I actually don't well, and I hope it's not even true. Like, let's be honest, Jen is the least Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I was like, who would watch that? And her husband's such a little cheap. She's the worst.
SPEAKER_04You know what's crazy is I'd watch a Whitney and Connor spinoff. Never thought I'd say that.
SPEAKER_03I do not like Zach.
SPEAKER_04No, I think I'm just a man hater today because now I want to Today, huh?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Well, I want to talk about. Did you watch the episode? I kind of watched the show without you, but when Jen and Winnie get in a fight and she and Jen send Zack. And Jen sends Zack.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04What do you think about that?
SPEAKER_03I think that they're both little bitches.
SPEAKER_04I would never in a million years send you to have a conversation with my female friend. If it was a dude, no, I wouldn't maybe I would have you come with me. If it was a dude. But never in a million years would I have you even come with me for a girl-on-girl conversation, especially knowing she would be alone. Let alone send you without me.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that was pretty crazy behavior on their part.
SPEAKER_04Like, yeah, you're fighting, but have your f have her I don't know. It just seemed like bringing a gun to a knife fight.
SPEAKER_03Well, it just seemed very unnecessary. Like she didn't have any No, and you just came there to Like that had nothing to do with that conversation had nothing to do with him.
SPEAKER_04No.
SPEAKER_03And he was a psych. I'm here. And when he was right. I'm here on Jen's behalf.
SPEAKER_04To tell you that we think you suck and the whole world actually thinks you suck. I read your comments. Like, sit down, bro. We actually all can't stand you.
SPEAKER_03Meanwhile, he's like, uh, freaking out because he has to be a stay-at-home dad. When he was literally like, I'm going off to med school here, Jen, take care of all these kids. I don't give a fuck. And now the roles are reversed and he's like, it's so hard. I don't know if I can do this. Blah blah blah. I want to go home.
SPEAKER_04I respect him for being honest about how he was feeling. I bet it's hard. I bet that's super hard.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I'm sure it is.
SPEAKER_04Intense role reversal for him. He was the one envisioning going away and not having to deal with all this, and now it's on his plate. I know.
SPEAKER_03I think it's just kind of funny how he was like, let's just have all these kids because I want to have all these kids, and then I'm gonna go off.
SPEAKER_04And then I'm gonna leave.
SPEAKER_03And then you're gonna stay home and take care of them, and life's gonna be great.
SPEAKER_04And then there's Connor. I do magic to help. I still think Connor's gay. Love, love I appreciate him a lot. I like them as a couple, but I think that's a lavender marriage. I can't quite figure it out, but it works for them, I guess.
SPEAKER_03The crazy thing is that I'm sitting here having this conversation with you about this show. Like when you first started watching it, I was like, why are you watching that stupid shit?
SPEAKER_04I mean, I feel the same way.
SPEAKER_03And and now I'm here invested in it with you.
SPEAKER_04I think a lot of people are invested in it. It's a train wreck. Yes, but we all love to watch the train wreck and then talk about it with our friends.
SPEAKER_03I'm just I never thought I'd be here, but I think I'm teen Chase, honestly.
SPEAKER_04Okay, speaking of Chase, how do we feel about him making out with uh Jesse? I mean, already surprised. I'm surprised by her.
SPEAKER_03Just another friend off the totem pole.
SPEAKER_04I'm not surprised by him, but I am surprised by her. And I feel bad for her.
SPEAKER_03Were they drunk? Were they drinking?
SPEAKER_04I I don't know if there's any details about it. I saw a post that said that Jesse sent Miranda flowers to apologize. I just I mean, yes, they're divorced. She doesn't want him back, blase blase, but you shouldn't be making out with your close friend's ex-husband. I mean There's like a there's a list of people, and he would be on that list of people that you shouldn't hook up with anymore.
SPEAKER_03I mean, you shouldn't, but like I don't know. I mean, I I don't think it's a good idea by any means. I'm not advocating for it, but also I'm like, sh if I mean it sounds like they have a circle and a group of human beings that is like seems It's like they're in high school. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04And all just sharing each other's exes.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, well, mainly just Chase. Chase just sleeps with all of Miranda's friends.
SPEAKER_04I know. Poor Miranda. She should have been the bachelor's.
SPEAKER_03I want to I want Miranda back. Right. Which same bro. I don't blame you. I would want Miranda back too.
SPEAKER_04No chance.
SPEAKER_03She's actually my favorite one on the whole show.
SPEAKER_04She's my favorite too.
SPEAKER_03And I said I said this early on. I said this when she first came back.
SPEAKER_04It's because you thought she was hot.
SPEAKER_03I still do think she's hot, but I think she's like the most level-headed and the most like realistic down the world.
SPEAKER_04The problem with her all of them versus Taylor is all of those characteristics you just said don't make good reality TV.
SPEAKER_03No, there would be no show. And I think that's why she makes Taylor TV. I think that's why they didn't give a shit about what happened, is because they're like, oh, she's a loose canon, like, this is gonna be great, we're gonna have great TV. But now that it's come out, they're like, oh, we have to backpedal and distance ourselves from her.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_03I don't know. I hope so. It seems like she needs like some therapy and some like mental.
SPEAKER_04That was the first time I was actually gonna watch the show, and I think a lot of people can agree that people who don't normally watch The Bachelorette were going to watch that show just for Taylor Frankie Paul.
SPEAKER_03Oh, yeah, they were gonna have a lot of views.
SPEAKER_04I wasn't excited, and I'm not a big batch, I don't like Bachelor and Bachelorette Nation. Not a fan. Don't really want to watch one person date 20 different people. Yeah, it's kind of a weird unless it's Love Island for some reason.
SPEAKER_03They're all dating each other too.
SPEAKER_04Okay, moving on to the cousin. Okay. Oh yeah. Client sat in my chair the other day.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_04Recently lost a best friend because best friend had new boyfriend. He's either Marine, army, something of that nature. This friend doesn't really vibe that way, so that was already red flag for her. Friend gets pregnant and can't decide if she should keep the baby or not. Stay with him, you know, all the questions. Well, after she decides to well, she was gonna break up with him, right? She was gonna I think they were living together, she was gonna move out, come stay with my friend, be done with him, I think not have the baby.
SPEAKER_03Wait, this is your c so you're this is your client's friend.
SPEAKER_04Client's friend.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_04Friend the girl, the pregnant girl, finds out that her baby daddy's ex-girlfriend is his cousin. First cousin, as in his dad's brother's daughter. Is that reason to end that relationship? What would you do in her shoes?
SPEAKER_03Well, it's kind of too late. You're already having a baby with him.
SPEAKER_04Right.
SPEAKER_03So you just can't like you're not his cousin, so granted that's a lot of red flags, but Well, like it's alright, you're too it's too late, you're having his baby.
SPEAKER_04So you would just can get I don't know.
SPEAKER_03If she was like already gonna break up with him, then I don't know.
SPEAKER_04I think she had set her uh I think she was heading towards not having the pregnancy and not having the relationship and somehow ended up with him, is currently engaged, and that was the end of friendslash client's friendship with the girl because my friend slash client let her live with her for a while. So they were living in the same house. Yeah, my friend does therapy at home on Zoom. The girl sat outside my friend's door while my friend was doing Zoom therapy and listened to her whole therapy session as my friend was venting about how dumb she thought her friend was for staying with this guy.
SPEAKER_03Oh, she was she's not like a therapist. She was doing therapy. She was doing therapy. Okay, okay, okay, okay. Well, I mean one, she shouldn't have been hiding and listening to two, it sounds like that friendship was not working out.
SPEAKER_02Um how long was he dating his cousin?
SPEAKER_00Like a year.
SPEAKER_02Did his there's their family know? So was this an open thing everybody knew?
SPEAKER_04They broke up because I think they had been doing it for a really long time and feelings were starting to get involved, and I think family found out and disowned him. Oh, I can't imagine why. Uh how old are they? Twenties. Early twenties, I would say.
SPEAKER_03Stupid horny kids.
SPEAKER_04Um I I think the issue that I would have in this situation would be I wouldn't be able to not see you doing it with your cousin.
SPEAKER_03Well, and here's the thing now, you're gonna have to like I have they mended their relationships with the family? No. Okay, well, that helps. Actually, maybe Because I was gonna say, what happens when you go to Thanksgiving and the cousin is there?
SPEAKER_04Well, I mean, I think by him having new girlfriend who isn't his cousin and baby and marriage will mend the relationships with his family. And go great, good, we may accept you back. You're no longer fucking your cousin.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Well, that's kind of heavy.
SPEAKER_04But yeah, right? Like, I mean, someday they'll all come together again. Yeah. Funerals, you know.
SPEAKER_02Where are they from?
SPEAKER_04Um I don't know. She's from here, he's from somewhere else.
SPEAKER_03Oh, okay. So does his does his cousin live here?
SPEAKER_04They live in the same city. The only one that's from here is the girlfriend.
SPEAKER_03She doesn't live here anymore?
SPEAKER_04She moved to go be with him in the house where he fucked his cousin.
SPEAKER_03Good luck, I guess.
SPEAKER_04Isn't that crazy?
SPEAKER_03It's pretty wild.
SPEAKER_04She left and I had to sit there for a second. Like, wow. I don't know how that makes me feel. Crazy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Um how did she know about this before she started sleeping with him?
SPEAKER_04She knew he had an ex-girlfriend. So she kind of pieced things together. So like she found out and confronted him. And then he came out and was like, yeah. And I think he told her, like, yes, this is this, it was my cousin. It was going on for this long. My family found out, like, she found out everything after, but she was already pregnant at this time when she found out.
unknownJeez, people.
SPEAKER_03You you just make sure you know who you're dating, I guess, before you move in with them.
SPEAKER_04First date, ask questions. Have you ever slept with your cousin?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, maybe run a little repository and background check.
SPEAKER_04What's I mean, like that's not a question you're gonna ask.
SPEAKER_03Have you ever had sex with your cousin?
SPEAKER_04That's not on the list of questions I would ever need to know.
SPEAKER_02Well, you wouldn't think.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, crazy. I actually asked my clientslash friend if I could talk about this on the podcast. She said yes. I hear some wild stuff behind the chair.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that one. That's that's crazy.
SPEAKER_04That's I don't know what I'd do because I'm not I don't want to be like, I would abort the baby and leave him. That just feels so extreme. I don't think I could be with him though. And it would suck to suddenly be single parent, especially early 20s. I don't know what I would do. That is such a difficult situation. I just know I would never be able to get past it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I don't know. I don't know.
SPEAKER_04Should we move on to something?
SPEAKER_03I wouldn't abort the baby, so I'd probably just be a single mom somewhere.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. That sucks.
SPEAKER_03It's not the baby's fault. His dad's a weirdo.
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_03Well, that's a lot crazier than anything that I had for you.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, what'd you have before we move on? I didn't even ask. Oh, I guess we could uh pregnancy update.
SPEAKER_03Pregnancy update.
SPEAKER_04We're 21 weeks.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, today's 21 weeks. We had our anatomy scan last Tuesday, Wednesday, Tuesday. I don't know. Last week we had it. Um everything's good. She's measuring a day ahead of schedule.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_03She's got all of her appendages. Fingers, toes, limbs, ears, nose, lips.
SPEAKER_04Brain, heart, kidneys. You know.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Doing great. So far, so good. We met with our doula again. We went over the stages of birth.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that sounds scary.
SPEAKER_04I know. I just now I look around and I think, wow, every human on this planet has come out of a woman.
SPEAKER_03You know what kind of got me uh when we were with her, it was like the whole placenta thing. I thought you had the baby and the placenta just fell out afterwards.
SPEAKER_04Shit, me too, honestly.
SPEAKER_03I didn't realize it was like uh you have to birth the placenta out itself too.
SPEAKER_04I didn't I knew that I just within the last like year learned that that's a whole thing you have to do as well. I didn't realize it could take so long. So long. Like she said it could take up to 30 minutes. I didn't know that. Like I didn't think it fell out, but I thought like baby came out, placenta would come out right after. I didn't realize it was its own situation. Wait, I have a question. Uh huh. How does this work with twins?
SPEAKER_03Is there two placentas or are they in the same placenta?
SPEAKER_04I don't know.
SPEAKER_03I don't know.
SPEAKER_04Shoot, let's see how quick I can Google.
SPEAKER_03But I assumed the hard part would be the baby. Right. Now that the babies come through there, you would think the gelatinous goop of placenta would just bloop on out. Sorry for the trigger warning, I guess. Um, but yeah, I didn't realize that that was a thing.
SPEAKER_04I didn't either. Hold on, I'm googling really fast. Great question. And it actually depends on the type of twins you're carrying. Two placentas, most common. Each baby has their own placenta and their own sac. This is common with fraternal twins and some identical twins. What? The placentas can be totally separate or fused together, but still function as two. What? One shared placenta. Babies share one placenta, but usually have separate sacs. This happens with identical twins. After both babies are born, one placenta is delivered. You do not deliver a placenta after each baby. Both babies are delivered first, then if there are two placentas, they may come out together or one after the other. So really we have no questions answered.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, we do. What do you mean?
SPEAKER_04All the above is possible. There could be one, there could be two, they could come out together, they could come out separate.
SPEAKER_03Well, yeah, but they def they don't come like you don't have a baby placement.
SPEAKER_04And then they're placenta, and then have a baby and then their placenta.
SPEAKER_03I feel like that was the question, right?
SPEAKER_04I'm confused about how it's like if they're identical twins, they share a placenta. But it also says if they're identical twins, they can each have their own?
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Are they in the same sack if they're identical twins? Is that how is that a thing?
SPEAKER_00Yes. Um. No.
SPEAKER_03Always have their own sack.
SPEAKER_04I think they can share a sack.
SPEAKER_03I also didn't know your baby could be born s inside the sack still.
SPEAKER_04Oh, yeah, but she said that's very uncommon. She hasn't even seen it happen.
SPEAKER_03But it can happen.
SPEAKER_04That's crazy, yeah. What was that?
SPEAKER_03My chair just creaked. It's dirty in here.
SPEAKER_04Um What'd you have to talk about?
SPEAKER_03Nothing. Uh, we just did a bunch of yard work this weekend.
SPEAKER_04I wouldn't say a bunch.
SPEAKER_03I think it was enough. Cleaned out the flower bed.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03There's a lot of work. There's a lot of grass in there. Weeds and shit.
SPEAKER_04We have a realtor coming to look at our house.
SPEAKER_03Oh, that's a you thing.
SPEAKER_04It's a team thing. Basically, she's coming to t look at our house and tell us what types of things we'll need to do in order to sell in the future. We're gonna sell our house in the future.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Yeah, we are.
SPEAKER_04So why is that a me thing?
SPEAKER_03Well, be just because I've just finished the nursery and you're like, we should have a realtor come look at the house.
SPEAKER_04It's because I have a dream board, right? On my dream board, there's a house across the street from my aunt's house that I so it's not the house, but you can it's looking at my aunt's house from this house. Well, this house just went on the market.
SPEAKER_03It hasn't yet, but it's going supposedly it's going to.
SPEAKER_04It's going to, and it just prompted me to start making forward movement because it prompted you to be angry at me because I was like, what but you're like, you crush all my dreams.
SPEAKER_01You're a dream crusher.
SPEAKER_03Should we move on? Um, I have one last thing. Okay. So we have a uh garage door stickler in our neighborhood. And it's not who you would imagine it being. So at least, I don't know, twice a week, two or three times a week. Yeah. We'll be sitting in the house, and you'll hear a knock on the door. Yeah, he usually knocks. Hear a knock on the door, and I open the door, and it's my uh seven-year-old neighbor, seven, not seventy, seven-year-old, and he goes, uh, your garage door's open, and then just leak turns around and leaves. Like, I don't know why, and I think I I think I figured it out. Okay. I think I know why he's so concerned about us leaving our garage door open is because he's asked me in the past if he can ride his scooter and his bike up in our driveway. And so I think that if our garage door's open, he gets in trouble by his parents. Because the garage door's open and they don't want him to come into our garage or whatever. And so I think if our garage door's open, he's not allowed to be in our driveway.
SPEAKER_04Oh my gosh, this makes so much sense.
SPEAKER_03That's just that just came to me like yesterday.
SPEAKER_04That makes sense.
SPEAKER_03Because the other day when we were out doing yard work, he was riding in the driveway and his mom was like, Hey, you need to stay out of the driveway. And I was like, It's okay, he's fine.
SPEAKER_04Wow, that makes so much sense. Well, that or because it did kind of happen at the same time, we had a neighbor whose tools were stolen out of his truck in the middle of the night. Yeah. And he started knocking this whole toolbox. Yeah. He and the seven-year-old started knocking on our door after that happened. So I thought maybe he heard that happened.
SPEAKER_03He was being neighborhood watch.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, and he is like, hey, we got a bandit in the neighborhood.
SPEAKER_03Close that. Close your garage door.
SPEAKER_04Both could be true. I almost think yours is right, though.
SPEAKER_03But it's kind of funny because he just goes, garage doors open.
SPEAKER_04And leaves. And then leaves. One time though, he did try to sell me cheese puffs. He had a giant container of cheese puffs. And he was like, hey, garage doors open. Also, would you like to buy a cheese puff? Or would you like a cheese puff? No, thank you. Good. They're$5 each. I was like, okay.
SPEAKER_03Five dollars a puff.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Dang. He even had a sign on it.$5 each.
SPEAKER_03He's pretty funny. I think I talked to him more than I talked to his parents.
SPEAKER_04I know. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I definitely talk to him more than I talked to his parents.
SPEAKER_04Well, yeah, you talk to us three times a week.
unknownYeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03He's out, he's out riding his bike right now. That's what made me think about him. Um he's cute. I can't remember his name.
SPEAKER_04Oh, I think it starts with a J.
SPEAKER_03It does. Uh I can't remember. But yeah, he's a pretty funny kid.
SPEAKER_04All right.
SPEAKER_03Thanks, buddy.
SPEAKER_04I know me too.
SPEAKER_03The other day I felt bad because I knew it was him, and so I didn't even answer the door.
SPEAKER_04You just close the garage. Close the garage. I know, because it kind of is a whole thing because our dogs were are annoying. And when you knock on the door, they freak out. We're that house. I'm it's what it is, what it is. So every time he knocks on the door, it's the whole gotta wrangle up the dogs, go to the door. Just to be just to be told, just to be yelled at by a seven-year-old that our garage door is open. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Little garage door Nazi.
SPEAKER_04Okay. Story time. Are you ready?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04This I brought this up in our last episode.
SPEAKER_03Oh, I actually I forgot. I have one more thing.
SPEAKER_04Oh my gosh, I've tried to boob on so many times. What?
SPEAKER_03I bought some new supplements.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_03Um, and I got a free thing of protein, which was cool, but it's bubblegum protein. Kind of gross. But, anyways, that's not the point. The point, the point is, is I was talking to the guy, and he's like, this is where all the protein's at, this is where the creatine's at. This is where all the the pre-workouts at. He's like, non-stem on this side, stimulants on this side. And I was like, okay, cool. Well, sometimes my pre-workout messes with my stomach. Like, I don't know if it's I'm assuming it's maybe the caffeine. I don't know. And I do it on empty stomach. Anyways, so I'm looking at this uh pre-workout, and I was gonna get a non-STEM one, and then I see this one, and I'm like looking at it, and I look, and it's like caffeine 100 milligrams, and I was like, oh, it's only got a hundred milligrams of caffeine, like this will be perfect. So I I bought it, brought it home, I opened it. Well, I found out there's two different types of caffeine in it, and one of them says a hundred milligrams, and the other one says three hundred milligrams. So apparently there's 400 milligrams of caffeine in this pre-workout.
SPEAKER_04We looked up the differences of what they are.
SPEAKER_03No, I haven't yet. But I asked Michael and he said, be careful. Only take a half a scoop.
SPEAKER_04I would take less than that.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03The pre-workout that I took right now has like 300 and something milligrams. Jeez Louise.
SPEAKER_04I'm just out here basically raw dogging on freaking 40 milligrams of caffeine a day.
SPEAKER_03Well, like the ghost energy drinks and all those energy drinks like that have like 300 milligrams of caffeine.
SPEAKER_04Jeez, you're gonna get headaches if you quit. It's gonna be a good thing. I've already cut back.
SPEAKER_03I've already cut back. I don't drink well, I guess I was gonna say I don't drink coffee and energy drinks anymore. I just have my pre-workout in the morning.
SPEAKER_04That's all that's all the caffeine you have?
SPEAKER_03Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, but what I'm saying is if you start doing that every day, your body's gonna get used to that.
SPEAKER_03Well, and like today I only had a cup of coffee.
SPEAKER_02It's the only caffeine I had.
SPEAKER_04That's just an insane amount of caffeine right on an empty stomach first thing in the morning.
SPEAKER_03Oh, I know. My stomach is like and then I start sweating, and I'm like, I sound like you. Yeah. So, okay, that's all I have. End of story time. Be careful with your pre-workouts, people.
SPEAKER_04I miss pre-workout.
SPEAKER_03I'll keep you filled in on how this goes for me.
SPEAKER_04My pre-workout right now is warm water with lemon and salt. Boom. Straight to the gut first thing in the morning.
SPEAKER_03Does it make you poop?
SPEAKER_04It does. Yeah, but it's my new coffee. And then I have a glass of black tea with my breakfast, and that's it for me. It's all she wrote.
SPEAKER_03No wonder you're so cranky.
SPEAKER_04Just out here, raw dogging life. No stimulants or nothing.
SPEAKER_03I'll just oh, I'd be drinking electrolytes too. I don't know what the what I don't know the brand I have right now.
SPEAKER_04They're pretty good. They're good though.
SPEAKER_03They're expensive.
SPEAKER_04The Madison. Everyone needs to watch The Madison.
SPEAKER_03The Madison. I forgot about that.
SPEAKER_04I am not a Taylor Sheridan fan. Wanna note. I actually decided I was never gonna watch any of his shows ever again after he ruthlessly ended 1923. That was it. I was done. He ruined that show and it was building up to be an epic show.
SPEAKER_03Oh yeah, okay. I enjoyed it.
SPEAKER_04You liked the ending?
SPEAKER_03Uh well, I you kind of saw it coming.
SPEAKER_04Horrendous. Anyway, the Madison is good.
SPEAKER_03It's great.
SPEAKER_04I'll give Taylor Sheridan credit where credit is due.
SPEAKER_03It's a great show. Amazing.
SPEAKER_04I can't figure out where it's gonna take us, though.
SPEAKER_03I without saying too much, I hope they move.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, we too.
SPEAKER_03They have to, right?
SPEAKER_04I have I straight up have no idea. We binged it though, unfortunately. All the seasons are on prime. Wait. All the seasons are on paramount seasons.
SPEAKER_03There's one season.
SPEAKER_04Six episodes.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, we have one episode left.
SPEAKER_04I know I'm saving it.
SPEAKER_03No, we're gonna watch it after this.
unknownI know.
SPEAKER_04And I'm gonna eat my chocolate mousse with some strawberries.
SPEAKER_03So we better get to the this uh Oh, you want to get to the story now? Yeah. All I all the important things I have to say are gone, so we can move on.
SPEAKER_04Well, everyone watch The Madison on Paramount Plus and let us know. My wife went out last night and didn't come home until this morning.
SPEAKER_03Shame on her.
SPEAKER_04Boom, boom, boom.
SPEAKER_03Sounds like an ex-wife.
SPEAKER_04This is posted October 16th, 2022. This is horrible. I'm furious right now, but I'm also depressed as hell. I know what I have to do. It's just killing me that I have to do it. It's fresh and it hurts a lot. My wife didn't come home last night. She went out with a couple of girlfriends, which is pretty normal for her. She's normally back around 2 a.m. on these nights, so I waited up. Around two 2 30, I called the check-in.
SPEAKER_00Sorry, hold on. I had to burp.
SPEAKER_04She answered, and I could hear people in the background. She told me they went to a party but were leaving in a couple of minutes. Did I say how old they are? That's good.
SPEAKER_03You should turn those lights on.
SPEAKER_04I am inside of here. You turn the lights on.
SPEAKER_02There's a remote.
SPEAKER_04Oh. That those lights don't those lights don't really help us.
SPEAKER_00Going for a vibe.
SPEAKER_03Five set ambiance. It's freaking nappy in here, dude.
SPEAKER_04It's dark in here. It's not even nappy. Okay. Oh my gosh. I'm sorry, everybody. Okay. Also, we need to know how old these people are because who goes out that late? Geez Louise.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_03Lots of people that aren't pregnant.
SPEAKER_04I could hear people in the background. They went to a party leaving a couple minutes. Okay, she wasn't home by 3, so I texted. It delivered, but no reply. Around 4 a.m. I called again. It rang a couple of times before she sent me to voicemail. My wife finally came stumbling through the door at 6 47 a.m. this morning. I know the exact time because I was worried. She was wearing a dress she didn't leave the house in with mesh leggings I've never seen. The leggings had clearly been torn and her makeup was smudged.
SPEAKER_03Naughty naughty.
SPEAKER_04My heart sank when I saw her. My immediate worry is that she'd been assaulted. I was thinking that too. She only shook her head no when I asked her that. I asked her what she'd been doing. She only said that I knew what she had been doing, and that kind of confirmed what the voice in the back of my head had been screaming since she walked in. My wife cheated on me last night. I asked her who it was. She shrugged almost casually and said it was somebody they met at the club. She went back to his house and hooked up with him. Then Ubered home. She said she didn't want to fight and just wanted to sleep. So that's what she did. She's still asleep now and didn't even take a shower before passing out. Suffice to say our relationship is over. We don't have any kids and we rent, so it shouldn't be an extremely complicated process. I keep trying to reason myself out of it, pretending there might be something to salvage here. I've always maintained that cheating would be a red line for me though, but I think I need to stick to that now.
SPEAKER_00Small update. Oh, this is odd. Where did he get where did she get a different dress from?
SPEAKER_04So usually on the Redditor updates, it will give me the initial story, then the top comments, then an update, then the top comments. For this, it's just story update update.
SPEAKER_01No comments.
SPEAKER_04There's no comments until the very end. So I guess I just got a lot of reading to do here, guys. Okay, that was the sixteenth. Now we're at October seventeenth.
SPEAKER_01The next day.
SPEAKER_04Alright, things have happened. I'm no longer at home. I left. I wasn't able to get the day off work today though, so I'm writing this on my lunch. It's been a struggle struggle keeping myself together. I've had to sneak off to the bathroom twice to cry. Shit's rough, dude. I'll post something more detailed later on because holy fucking shit, there's a lot. I'm exhausted. I've only slept about four hours total since this happened. Does anyone know if I should post the actual update in a new thread or just update?
SPEAKER_03Maybe that's why it's messed up.
SPEAKER_04Also to the woman who felt compelled to send me topless pictures, thanks, but also no thanks. What would you do if I did this to you? It's this is how brazen she was for me.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Well she just like there was no remorse or no nothing. She was just like, You know what I did. You know what I did. I don't want to fight with you, I'm going to sleep.
SPEAKER_04I feel bad for him.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04I'm typically on the woman's side. And now I'm on the man's side. I'm feeling conflicted.
SPEAKER_03Maybe you should be on the the not shitty person side.
SPEAKER_04I like women's white rights and women's wrongs, but I'm having a hard time right now.
SPEAKER_03Just bouncing his ball.
SPEAKER_04Oh, he's in our driveway.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Speak of the devil.
SPEAKER_04Second update, October 18th. Me again, folks. I'm sorry I didn't get around to this sooner. I wasn't able to get the day off work yesterday because my boss kind of sucks. I was a complete mess at work yesterday though, so I was allowed to take the rest of the week as vacation. I think I went through all the stages of grief while my soon-to-be ex was sleeping. I wasn't expecting my post to get any attention at all. I just figured I need to try and talk to someone about it because I was not in a good headspace. I made the post in the morning and by noon she was still conked out in the bedroom. I had processed things a bit more, and I had a rough plan in my head that I was starting to set in motion. I made a short list of questions I wanted answers to. Gathered up all my important documents, laptop, etc. Then I went into the bedroom and started packing myself a suitcase. I knew a lot of folks wanted me to kick her out. I did consider it, but honestly I'm not overly attached to this place. We just rent, and I'm lucky enough I'm in a lucky enough situation to be able to say that paying half the rent for a few months isn't going to financially end me. It'll sting a little bit, I won't lie. But I'll make it, and I feel like being around this place is only going to remind me of her anyways, so I need to get out. She ended up waking up about halfway through me packing my suitcase. There was momentary confusion as she looked around the room. Then she just started bawling. Maybe this was awful of me, but it didn't but I didn't bother comforting her. I told her I had the screenshots of her Uber and text messages from her phone. And that plus her confirmation was enough, the things between us were completely done. She didn't answer me and just cried louder. I debated trying to continue the conversation, but as but I decided to just pack the rest of my suitcase and head back out to the living room until she came out. When she finally left the bedroom, she sat next to me on the couch and asked me if we could talk things through. I told her as calmly as possible that that wasn't how things were going to work. I was going to ask questions, I wanted honest answers, she told me she'd be honest, so I proceeded. Was this the first time she had cheated? She started crying before she answered that, then told me no. She had cheated on me multiple times over the course of our relationship. It was, and I'm going to use her words exactly. Quotes, just sex. A way from me to let off steam. None of it ever meant anything. I wrote a comment shortly after making my post that all the love couldn't just fade away in one swoop. Well it can. It hit me right then that I wasn't dealing with my wife. The person I was married to literally wasn't in the room. This was someone different. She refused to tell me exactly how many times she had cheated, just more than last night. Had she used protection? No hesitation from her before she nodded her head empathetically. She seemed surprised I'd even asked that. I'm still going to get tested just to be safe. I did some research into timing and I'm going to look after it. Were her friends also cheating on their spouses? Yes and no. I tried to get her to tell me which of her friends were cheating so I could get in contact with their spouses. She probably should have because her refusal led me to messaging pretty much the romantic partner of every one of her girlfriends I could find on social media media. There are a couple I don't know or couldn't find, but I did my part. Why did she do it? This was the answer that gutted me the most. I'm going to ex use her exact words again. Quotes I need to have sexual variety. I told her that it's not like our sex life is dull, she clarified. Quotes, it's not the same as something new. I didn't even have a response to that. I'd expected something about me working too much or not supporting her emotionally. Nope, she just fucked other guys because she felt like it and wanted to have some fun. When I didn't respond, she started asking me about counseling and therapy. I reiterated that our relationship was over. I'd be leaving. What she did next disgust me. My ex actually tried to have sex with me. She put her hands on me and started trying to take my clothes off. I felt like I wanted to vomit and pushed her away after a couple of seconds. She just kept telling me that we could figure it out, that there is a way through this together. I told her there's no way and she started bawling again. She went to the bathroom and locked herself inside. I was just sick about everything at that point. I called her mom and told her what was going on. The full story, the cheating, the questions I asked, and the fact that I was leaving. I had always had a good relationship with my ex's parents. They both decided to drive to town, which was about an hour for them. Once I knew someone was on the way, I just grabbed my things and left. Her water works in the bathroom were just annoying to me because I felt hollow, especially given the answers to my questions. I ended up packing another bag before I left and took all the things that I could think of that felt sentimental to me. I found a parking lot and sat in my car until I was able to get in contact with a buddy for a place to crash. I tried to take a nap, but I was running on way too much adrenaline. I knew her parents had had made it to the apartment because she started calling me. When I didn't answer though, she texted me. She had gone from sad and crying to furious. Apparently I'm quote a fucking piece of shit for telling her mom everything. Whoops.
SPEAKER_01Hmm.
SPEAKER_04I've received roughly a hundred texts from her since leaving. They ranged from name calling all the way to begging me to coming back, to sending me a picture of the food she ate for some reason. I haven't responded to any of them. I feel like I said my piece before leaving, so that's where I'm at now. We didn't have joint finances, so that part was easy. I canceled the subscriptions that go to my credit card just to be sure, and changed all my important passwords. I'm crashing at a friend's on the couch for the next bit, but I've got some fillers out for some short-term rental places until I can find something more permanent. I've got fillers out for a divorce attorney too. A co-worker of mine had a recommendation, so something's in the works. I also wanted to say that I was shocked how supportive everyone was, and thank you for that. Truly from the bottom of my heart. This wasn't easy to talk about and was really emotional to me. This was an invaluable venting place for me. Thank you all so much.
SPEAKER_03Well, alrighty then. I feel like that one's not hard to feel like to not feel bad for the girl. Like to have the dude's backs. Pretty easy on that one. Crazy.
SPEAKER_04What the hell did she think was going to happen? Was she still wasted when she came in and was like, you know what I did?
SPEAKER_03I bet you she was. Sounds like it. Especially with her reaction of like her being so upset. It was like, oh, she was like, I fucked up, I got caught. I don't even know if she was sad that she like what she did or if she was just sad that she got caught.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, sad that she got caught seemed that was just crazy. That was a roller coaster ride of emotions.
SPEAKER_03I feel bad for the dude.
SPEAKER_04I was kind of like, why wasn't he going out with her tomorrow or I mean a girl's night, but how often do you need to go get wasted with your girls?
SPEAKER_03Did she say she was doing a lot?
SPEAKER_04He said it happens often.
SPEAKER_03I guess this is what happens when it happens often.
SPEAKER_04It's also interesting to me that they're married and don't ha have shared finances or you know, like nothing. The only thing tying them was their marriage.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I wonder how long they were married.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. I wanna know a lot of my questions were answered. A lot of his were. I want to know how old they are, I want to know how long they were together.
SPEAKER_01Wow.
SPEAKER_04We have one final update and then we get to some comments. Final update. Hey folks, I'm happy, I guess, to say that this will be my final update to what's probably been the most difficult chapter of my life. I felt an immense amount of support from the community here for my initial two posts. Bottom line, my ex and I both signed the final papers for our divorce this week. Feels kind of surreal to think about all that. About two weeks into everything she got resistant. I cut her off entirely and she refused to return my attorney's calls for a little while. Eventually things got back on track. As for the infidelity itself, I don't have a ton more details to share with you. We did a short mediation and by that time I didn't feel there was any remorse on her end. I've talked about it a lot with my therapist. I'm in therapy, by the way. It still hurts that someone who I thought loved me could apparently care could have apparently cared about me so little, but I'm working through it. That's really all I've got to share. Thank you again for all the support and advice. Top comment You know things are over when you calmly make your exit. I'm so happy he got out of there and came and can move on from his dumpster fire of an ex. I was hoping for an update on her friend's situation, knowing that others were cheating on their spouses and OP contacting the entire group to warn them there must have been some fallout and reckoning happening. I hope the others got the okay got out okay too. From his comment that we didn't get to see, two other relationships ended because of all this. I spoke briefly with both of the other guys. Oh wait, okay. From his comment, quotes two other relationships ended because all this. I spoke briefly with the both of the other guys, and they had both found out what I had in different ways after I tipped them off. Awful situation, but better for all of us in the end, I'm sure. Wow.
SPEAKER_03Crazy.
SPEAKER_04What a group of trash people. Yeah, this kind of reminds me of what was that show where they were in Texas and it was Britney Snow, and that girl was sleeping with the high schooler.
SPEAKER_01Huh?
SPEAKER_04Hunting wives.
SPEAKER_03Oh yeah. Oh yeah, that that was a wild show.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, it was.
SPEAKER_03I forgot about that.
SPEAKER_04Wow, this is crazy. I feel really bad for this guy. She came home in new clothes. What was that about?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, where did she get those? Yeah. From that guy's girlfriend's closet? Yeah. Like, what?
SPEAKER_04Why not just end the relationship?
SPEAKER_03Yeah. You're like, hey, I need sexual variety, so I'm just gonna go sleep around with people. I don't think I should be married to somebody.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03Because people will be wanting their cake and eat it too. Like, I want sexual variety, but also want like stability and sexual.
SPEAKER_04The security of this relationship. Yeah. Wow.
SPEAKER_03Selfish.
SPEAKER_04That is very selfish.
SPEAKER_03Damn. It's a scary world out there.
unknownI know.
SPEAKER_04He was just home. I usually wait for her to get home.
SPEAKER_03Cute. I wonder how many times she had slept with somebody and then just came and laid in his bed with him when he she got home. Oh.
SPEAKER_04I think they're in their 20s. This is some 20-year-old shit. We're not just dumb, not fully developed brains. I would like to give her the benefit of the doubt for that. Got married too young, maybe.
SPEAKER_03Not really an excuse.
SPEAKER_00Well, that's all I have. I mean dang.
SPEAKER_03Dang.
SPEAKER_04Dang, guys, dang.
SPEAKER_03Watch out for them cheaters. If your wife comes home, if your wife doesn't come home, and then when she does, she's in new clothes.
SPEAKER_04If your wife looks like she got mugged.
SPEAKER_03Red flags all over the place.
SPEAKER_04Well, I hope everyone has a great week and thank you for listening to our show.
SPEAKER_03Stay safe out there, homies. I got sick last week and it was rough.
SPEAKER_04So nobody needs to hear about your men called.
SPEAKER_03Don't let that I woke off.
SPEAKER_04Oh my gosh. Sign us off, please.
SPEAKER_03You guys know the drill. Like it, subscribe to it, share with a friend, and give somebody a hug.
