Ep.027 - Opportunity Hasn't Disappeared. It's shifted.
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Most people think we’re living in hard times. Too much noise. Too much distraction. Too much uncertainty. But what if this is actually the greatest era of opportunity we’ve ever had?
In this episode, we break down why so many people feel stuck right now and why the people who learn to adapt, build skills, use AI, create content, and stay disciplined are creating massive leverage for themselves.
We talk about:
• Why people feel overwhelmed in today’s world
• How attention has become one of the most valuable assets
• Why AI is creating opportunity, not removing it
• The real reason most people never start
• How discipline separates people in this era
Opportunity hasn’t disappeared. It’s just moved. The question is: Are you paying attention to where it is?
No excuses.
No limits.
Let’s go.

Episode 26. Sware 7. Starting this is episode 27. 27. 27. Let's go. Alright, team. So we are back for a nice little short episode with some tips. Hopefully you can take from this. But welcome to Beyond Limits, the podcast where we dive deeper. Push further. And we go. Beyond limits.
SPEAKER_01Let's go. Just it's like riding a bike. I will say we have um we haven't recorded an ep for probably about a month now, eh? Yeah, it's been uh since we recorded last. We've been a few banked up, so it's um good to get back in the rhythm.
SPEAKER_00Bro, it's it's it's time, man. It's time, you know. This just feels right. Just feels right, you know. Life was lifing. Life was life in your um I guess what we talk about mindset, we talk about all that sort of stuff. So I think we're just gonna get into it. We're gonna go hard. Let's hit it. What are we gonna be talking about today, George? Today's a very interesting topic, and I think it's it could be very helpful to a lot of people. And uh we just want to have a look at where we are right now. So I've got a question for you, Casey. Do you think where we are right now is a hard time in our in human history, or do you think it's one of a time of one of our greatest uh opportunities?
SPEAKER_01But I think the latter it's definitely a time for opportunities for sure. Yeah, definitely a time for opportunities, but I think there's a lot of people that don't take the opportunities they want to, but they don't.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01That's what we're kind of gonna dive into a little bit, eh?
SPEAKER_00Of course, man. And I think it's important to understand that a lot of people are probably misreading what's actually happening right now, and that's okay. Like it depends on obviously your environment, what you're looking at, what you're exposed to. But I think we want to try and share a little bit of clarity on where you can go if you are fearful or you feel like there is lack of opportunity, or you're not understanding where the natural the world is shifting. So hopefully we can help out with that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, well, share a bit of our experiences with the current, I guess, economic state, what's happening in terms of the world with AI, with different technology, different social media platforms, all that sort of stuff, and how we've kind of utilized it as well. And then um, yeah, hopefully this can add some value and help you and kind of take some steps forward and ways that you can sort of look at the opportunity and how you can grasp it. Perfect, bro. Well said, bro.
SPEAKER_00It's like we've uh it's like we haven't been, it's like we never missed yeah. Well, it's good to be back, bro. I'm telling you 100%. It's good to be back. All right, so let's let's first of all let's dive into why I think people might see this as a very challenging time and not really see where the opportunities lie. You've we've obviously got more than ever, there's noise and distraction. So we can also look at that as signal versus noise, uh, which we've spoken about in the podcast. Uh, you've got your you've got overwhelm, you know, due to social media, and then we've got the big elephant in the room, which is AI. The A the AI boom is well and truly in full swing. And uh I'm actually excited to see where where that goes in the next 10 years. Yeah, it's crazy. The AI boom.
SPEAKER_01And it's whoa, yeah, the way that it is booming, man. It's like they didn't even predict that it'd be this far along this early. Yeah, but AI is significantly just like compounding on the way that it's learning, and man, the things that you have available and access to within your hands on a freaking laptop or your phone, whatever, is insane. Wild, bro. Crazy.
SPEAKER_00Old uh old John Claude Van Dam's going to work at the moment. John Claude Claude John Claude in the old Chat GPT.
SPEAKER_01Although the 2.0 photos come out the other day.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. All right. Yeah, that's it's leveling up ChatGPT, but we've got to be careful because they're listening to us the old AI bots. We're gonna love you, Claude.
SPEAKER_01Little do they know that it's this is actually AI speaking right now. Nah, we don't want to be spitting that news.
SPEAKER_00I think look with it with with that, with social media, uh, with AI, I think one of the things is if there's lack of direction, it can feel very overwhelming, it can feel very hard to sort of keep up. And I think that's the natural consensus where a lot of people are like, oh, I just can't really I don't know how to use it, or I can't really keep up, or anything like that. And hopefully we can we can show you that you know there's it's you're we're in it right now, you know, there's always time to learn, there's time to get amongst it, and and figure out where figure out how to cla create clarity and direction. But let's dive, let's dive into it. So where where the real opportunity is, I would say, is we've got the attention we want to flip that first part. So you've got the attention in opportunity with content and building a personal brand. If we looked back to what's ago 20 years or 30 years, 10 years, whatever it is, there has never been a time in history where you can start a brand and you've got hundreds of thousands to millions of eyeballs on it like that. Yep. Like it's insane. It's dude, 100%. You know, it's insane. Like where if we were to get a thousand people in a room 20 years ago without social media or anything like that, you know, you're paying marketing agencies, you're paying your newspapers, radios, whatever it is to get it out there. Now you can literally just start a free account on Instagram and start to build your personal brand. That's crazy, isn't it?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, different platforms like Instagram, TikTok, you got YouTube, like long form, short form, all those sort of different platforms where you can just pump it. But I think the other crazy part is, you know, maybe 10 years ago, you would have had to pay a graphic designer to do your logos, you had to pay someone to do your website, you had to do, you know, all your different marketing, everything was from different people. Now, with the ability and use of AI, you don't even need all of that. Right. Wild, isn't it? You can just start it from scratch and you're freaking on your laptop or your phone just sitting at home. Um and the access that you have now is insane.
SPEAKER_00Bro, and you you just nailed it 100%. It's it's it's such an exciting time because what you just said, you've got five, that could that would have cost potentially 80 to 100 grand per employee like running that. I think that's where we want to we want to draw it as well because the where the fearfulness comes in is people like, oh it's gonna replace me and stuff. And look, I am empathetic to people feeling that way. And this is where we want to sort of sort of shine the light. You know, it's not it's never fully gonna replace a human the human experience. It's really gonna help you with tasks, tasks, building businesses, all this, all the grunt work. Uh that's that's how I see it, and that's how I use it. But it's never gonna it's never gonna replace human connection, um human experience, all that sort of stuff, the human journey. Uh well, we'll see actually. I might eat my words in 10 years, but yeah, yeah, that's right. We'll see how we go.
SPEAKER_01It's definitely trying to go that way too. There's certain people that utilize it for those sort of things. But I'd advise you not to go find some real people. Exactly.
SPEAKER_00Still, still still find some real people. Can't replace this brother, brothers. 100%. I can't have a cold Guinness, you know, on that at Mount Erica. But as we're true, oh dangerous. Uh you shouldn't bring that up, bro. You're done with it. Yeah, let's move on. So just to just to tie that up to just a nice little bow as well. You've got social media, you can build a brand. Like, no, no, you can build a brand, you've got AI, you've got the tools to help you really elevate that brand. And, you know, the cost is just it's just not as where it used to be. So the huge opportunity there is actually figuring out how you can implement it into your life, how you can use it as a really, really powerful tool to elevate you either as a person or in your business or even at your job. You know, there's it can elevate, it can help you in every form, every every realm of life. And I think people, you want to try and make that distinction of this isn't here a place, this is here to elevate. And it's how to push, it's here to it's here to push to be better.
SPEAKER_01Like, look, I will say it will it will take some jobs. Oh yeah. And it already has, yeah, and it already is. But what it is is if you understand how to use AI to level up your skill set, it's the people that know how to use it will be the ones that still keep jobs, if not get other jobs in other other areas and other places. It's just the way that it's moving, like the internet was the same thing. People were so skeptical about um putting their businesses online because they're like, no, the physical store was the way to go, and then the businesses started going on the internet, all the information on the internet, and then all of a sudden it's super normal. Yeah. So now you say, like, we're gonna Google something. Yeah, like that's literally people used to be so skeptical on that. Now it's like AI, there's still people that are skeptical. If you're using it already, you're in like I don't know what the percentage is, but you're leading percentage already. You've already got to understand it on how to utilize it or use it or making a start on it. Um, but we're still so early in the game. Yeah, like it's not too late to get started. Don't feel like you're left behind, don't feel like you're missing out. Like, just make a start now, just start playing with what ChatGPT, Claude, anything.
SPEAKER_00Well said, bro. And yeah, just to touch on what Casey said, it's it's never really too late for anything. Like anything, regardless of AI, social media, any of that stuff, building a brand, it's we're we're gonna push it on this. It's never too late for anything. You can you can just start now. Um and to to build off that is right now, especially when you're learning, you know, discipline in this mod in this age equals separation. So if you stay disciplined and you start to learn and and and see the opportunities, you can separate yourself. And I've got a one banger as well. So opportunity hasn't disappeared, it's just moved.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, which I think, which I think is a banger. So yeah. Just understanding the trends. We go back to the episode seasons we spoke about. It's understanding the trends. Well, not the trends, but I saw on a really good podcast, was it I don't know if it was Dan Martel or something. I'm trying to remember which one it was, but getting into AI or social media or any of that sort of stuff is like is the equivalent of investing in Apple or Bitcoin at its at its at when it started. Yep. Yep. So I think if that should just be a nice little thing to think about. How many of us were like, oh, I should have bought Bitcoin when it was when it was a dollar? What is it? Yeah, 100%. So I think it's just about just about really probably the best thing is not forcing anyone to get onto these things, but just to have an open mind about what they can do is probably the best thing. We are not AI experts. Uh I wouldn't say we're social media experts, but we're we are in we're in the game. I think it will be really cool for us in a couple of weeks. We will get some AI experts on here. Yep. Uh for everybody. Um, but we just want to talk to the opportunity of just having a look into it and just really doing your own research. All right. Yeah, that's good. It's um and look, why people when we dive into the meant like the mental side and the psychology, I think why where a lot of people might miss it, and this is just what we hear around the grounds, uh like a lot of a lot of comfort because it is it is creating a lot of discomfort, like the speed of it, the speed of uh what we're talking about creates a lot of people are obviously in their own sort of rhythm, so their comfort, a lot of the distraction too, and I think from a social media standpoint or everything that's happening in the world, it's it's pretty much around understanding what's in within your locus of control and being really being really conscious of what you're using these tools for. So like it's very easy to doom scroll, it's very easy to use chat GBT to talk about your relationship problems or your mental health and stuff like that, not actually using these tools to elevate yourself. So I think it's hard.
SPEAKER_01That's perfect. That just reminded me. Like, I'm I'm freaking guilty of it all the time, man. And it's like, oh well, for example, starting to play around with Claude a bit more, looking into like building out skills and all that sort of shit, art um artifacts and all that sort of stuff with Claude, and I'll start playing around with it, and then I'll jump onto YouTube and I'll start watching YouTube videos of people doing it so you can kind of get a bit of an understanding, find out how they do it, you can try and implement it and use it. Then all of a sudden it'd be like an hour, hour and a half, two hours have gone by, but I haven't actually taken that into building it myself, and then I'm kind of lost the the motivation or the rhythm or whatever because I've started scrolling, and then where I get stuck is because I'm too busy watching rather than doing, yeah, I don't actually learn the skill and and retain the information properly. Yeah, whereas um you can relate that to anything too, right? Like to be better at golf, we're talking about wanting to get a good handicap in golf. You can't freaking just watch YouTube videos and watch people play golf and then think that you're gonna have the skill set. Like you have to go out and actually do it. And it's the same with this, like you can't just with AI. Yes, there's a shitload of opportunities out there in ways that you can utilize it to streamline things, to scale things, whatever it is. And um, you can't just sit there and not take action and build it. Like, yeah, you're gonna make mistakes, yeah, you're gonna fail, but fail, make mistakes, it's okay, you can learn along the way, but as long as you take action rather than just sitting and scrolling trying to watch, um, you're never gonna get better. So action, action, action.
SPEAKER_00Bro, nailed it, and it segues into the perfect point. It's like fear of starting, action. You've just talked about it. Fear of starting will stop more people than anything. But you just gotta start. It's like if you're looking to have a hundred percent of the information, you're already too you're too late. Yeah. If you got 60, you got enough. If you got 50, you got enough. Starting's where everything, starting's where you elevate, fail fast, fail often. Yeah, you know, get into it. You know, the person who collects all the information is not gonna go as far as the person that just starts with less information. And we've learned that our whole life. It's yeah, the most successful people are also the biggest failures. Exactly. They just failed more.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00If you're winning, if you're winning, if you are winning all the time and hitting every target, your ceiling's too low. Yep. So that's that's the best way to put it. And this one's this one is a killer of of a lot of people's dreams and their goals and purposes as well, is waiting for certainty. So there is no waiting for certainty, there is diving into the uncertainty and leaning into it. Because you're never gonna know if you don't jump on that other side of fear or uncertainty.
SPEAKER_01So I heard a great quote, dude, actually the other day, and it was People would rather have a comfortable hell than an uncomfortable heaven. So people would rather sit in a mundane job doing something that they don't particularly like because they have certainty and they know what's coming. Yeah, whereas they don't want to take that leap, take that jump, and move into something else because it's uncertain, it might not be uh stability of income, it might not have the clients built, whatever it is, um, because that's so difficult and hard, and it's just uncertain. So people don't want to dive into it, but um yeah, it's going through that right now, I'll just be honest. No, you're good, bro.
SPEAKER_00But it's that and you bro, you just keep tying it perfectly into what we're saying, yeah. Correct. But yeah, well, we're humans, bro. We've all been through that, and like thank you for sharing that you're going through it, and it's it's literally it it ties us back to uh what we're saying, like uh so yeah, it it literally ties us back to to what we're saying, bro. Like you self-awareness, so you've got great self-awareness, which I think people if you if you're not sure where if you're not sure where to start, then start to start to figure out, like start to be aware of of where you are and start to understand self-awareness. Once you understand and you're aware, that's when you can make decisions. Yeah. And case like we've all been in that position, like you said, bro. Once you're aware, you're eventually going to take action. Just depends on the speed. Where we know better than anyone. If you're self-aware without action, that's the dangerous part. Like, because then it's like that's where we're and we've been there, I've been there heaps in my life where I've known exactly what to do. Yeah. And then I don't do it. And I'm like, oh shit.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, something I love and I've heard it, and it's stuck with me ever forever since I heard it. Is um ignorance on fire is better than knowledge on ice. Oh shit, I like that. Dude, you just gotta freaking take action and just go for it. It doesn't have to be perfect, whatever it is. Um, but if you do know you're self-aware, you have the knowledge, but you're not taking action, then that's just it's it's a waste. Bro, it's a waste.
SPEAKER_00I'll bro, I'll rate that. Clip that. I like that. And it's like the the old the old quote where it's like, you used to always hear knowledge is power, applied knowledge is power. Yeah, boo. So that's the difference. You can have all the knowledge in the world, but if you don't use it, um, and and let's tie it back to the social media angle, really. You know, you you can look around and people can complain about the ones that are dominating or whatever. Or I know some of the smartest people in their industry that just have not taken the social media thing seriously, and then I've got some of the people that aren't the smartest that have taken the social media period seriously, and they're dominating. And guess what? Good on them. They've leveraged all the skills, they've leveraged uh what they need to do, and that's just the way of the land. Like you've got to learn how to play the game. Don't don't get stuck trying playing the old game when there's new rules. Good point. So that's that's where people are gonna get stuck too. This game has changed across multiple channels, and we can't go into it because we've we can't go into all of it now, but understand that we are playing a new game here. If you're trying to play a game from 20 years ago, you're gonna get smoked. Yep. You get left behind. Hard bro, and that's like we don't want to put fear into you, but we sh we've got to somehow drive some drivers too. But this isn't a hard era, it's just an exposed one. It shows you exactly who's willing to build and who's not, and that's uh that's all it is, bro. Life's a I don't know, I don't know if people want to hear this, but I used to hear this from my coach, life's a competition. Are you willing to win? And I was like, people are it's not a competition, yeah. It is, bro. Life's a competition, and it's not about shitting on people, but it's about playing the game you can, the best game you can. Yep. And then just to just to tie it off, you don't need more opportunity, you need better awareness, or when when it already is, if that makes sense. Yep. Had a bit of a glitch there.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's AI glitching in. AI glitching. No, it's good. I think um, like look, we are in a great time to build something for yourself right now. Yeah, like whether that's whatever it is you want to go down, whether it's a content space, whether it's marketing, whether it's business, whether it's videography, whatever the hell you want to build, the amount of opportunity and the amount of tools and resources that you have at your fingertips is wild. So my leaving comment or remark is pick something to look into. If you haven't started already, pick something to look into in terms of AI and how it can utilize you. Start with Chat GPT or Clawed. Yeah, those are my two things. Claude's probably better because the things that it's building out now. There's like Clawed Design, Clawed Code. Um, if that doesn't, if you don't know what that means, it's fine, go look at it. But the amount of stuff that it can do for you, it can scale, it can elevate, it can do your content. Like, oh man, it's insane. But just pick it, start playing around with it and try and figure it out, and then figure out what you want to do, what you want to build, and see how you can implement that to streamline your processes so you can actually focus on the things yourself that move the needle forward for your life.
SPEAKER_00Well said, brother. Some great advice, Case. Great advice, and uh yeah, just uh just a leaving a leaving message uh for everybody. And this one's a bit of a deep one, but as long as you're above ground, you've got opportunity. And that's that's that's that's just a fact. Like, yeah, if you're if you're breathing, if you're healthy, if you got all that sort of stuff, you've got opportunity. There is no excuses. No excuses. No excuses. Yeah, right. No excuses. Let's go. And that uh so for anyone out there, but please back yourself, go hard. No one's actually thinking about you. There is no there is nothing to lose by having a crack.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00Everything to gain. You lose everything when you don't have a crack. And if you let whatever you're very fearful of now, if you stay fearful of that, that's when it's gonna happen. So get after it. 100% fucking go hard. We believe in ya. We believe in ya. Let's get it. Let's get it. Believe again. All right, baby. Believe, boy!
SPEAKER_01Believe no you got this, he got this, you got it. I think let's go, baby.
SPEAKER_00No excuses, no limits. First things first, recipe, sucker fear.
SPEAKER_01For real, you the only father that I ever knew. I get my pregnant, I'ma be a better you.
