Voices from Around the World
Awakening in the Upheaval: Why Everything Feels Like It’s Shifting
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
The headlines feel endless, the pace unkind, and the ground a little unsteady. We open with breath and honesty, naming the collective heaviness many of us are carrying, then step into a deeper reading of our moment: what looks like collapse may be preparation, and what feels like fragmentation may be clearing room for truth. Guided by Obadiah’s calm presence, we explore how to move from panic to presence and from noise to discernment without bypassing pain.
We trace a pattern beneath the news cycle—institutions losing trust, motives exposed, communities strained, spiritual hunger rising—and consider how a prophetic lens can turn chaos into coherence. Instead of predicting doom, we practice interpretation: connecting visible events to invisible currents and asking what is being revealed, redefined, and made ready. The message is grounded and practical: cultivate a steady inner life so you can read the signs of the times with wisdom and act with compassion.
At the core lies the battle for identity. In an era of shifting definitions and rapid change, many are building a sense of self on trends, performance, politics, or pain—foundations too thin for the weight of a soul. We offer questions that anchor purpose—Who am I beneath expectation? What truth holds when definitions slip?—and we return to meditative stillness to embody the answers. You’ll leave with language for what you’re feeling, tools to ground your body, and a vision of chaos as correction and alignment rather than the end of the story.
Take a breath with us, then take your place with courage. If this conversation steadies you, follow the show, share it with a friend who needs clarity, and leave a review so more listeners can find this space.
Naming The Global Heaviness
Guided Grounding Meditation
SPEAKER_01Welcome to Voices Around the World, a soulful space where stories breed, borders blur, and humanity speaks. This isn't just a podcast, it is a gathering, a circle of voices intimate, courageous, and deeply personal, echoing from every corner of the globe. Through heartfelt interviews and reflective solo episodes, we explore the lived experiences that shape our shared world, the struggles that stretch us, the triumphs that lift us, and the quiet moments that remind us that we belong. Each episode invites you into conversations with artists, healers, activists, educators, and everyday visionaries. People whose perspectives are rooted in culture, resilience, and the truth. And frequently your host steps into the silence alone, offering a gentle reflection on global issues through the lens of compassion, curiosity, and care. This is a space for listening deeply, for honoring differences, for finding connection and complexity. Because in a world that often divides, voices from around the world dares to weave us together one story at a time. I'm your host, Obadiah, and today, before we enter today's meditation and today's episode, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the weight many of us are carrying right now. Across the globe, people are waking up with a heaviness that they can't always name. There's a quiet grief in the air, a sense of uncertainty, a feeling that the world is shifting faster than our hearts can process. Some of us are simply exhausted by the headlines. Some of us are overwhelmed by the division. Some of us are grieving the loss of normalcy, stability, or hope. And some of us are simply just trying to make sense of a world that feels so beyond unfamiliar. And if you've been feeling anxious, numb, or disconnected, or spiritually disoriented, I want you to know that you are not alone. Millions of people across continents, cultures, and communities are feeling the same tremors in their spirit. This moment right now in history is pressing on all of us. It is reshaping how we see ourselves, how we see each other, and how we understand the times that we're currently living in. So before we go any further, I want to honor the truth of your experience. I want to honor the tenderness of your heart. I want to honor the courage that it takes to keep showing up in a world that feels like it's shaking beneath your feet. So this space is for you a place to breathe, a place to feel, a place to remember that even in a chaos, you are not forgotten, and you are not navigating this alone. So I invite you to take a moment, let your shoulders drop, let your breath deepen, let your spirit know that it is safe to be here. And before we dive into the weight of today's conversation, I would like to invite you into a moment of grounding, a moment to reclaim your breath in a world that rarely gives you permission to pause. So wherever you are, gently settle into your body. Feel your feet on the floor. Feel the rise and the fall of your breath. Feel the quiet invitation of this moment. Take a slow inhale, hold it for a heartbeat and release. Let the noise of the world soften. Let the pressure of the day loosen its grip. Let the constant stream of headlines, notifications, and responsibilities fade into the background. Now imagine a warm, golden light hovering just above your head. This light represents divine clarity, clarity that cuts through confusion, clarity that steadies you when the world feels unstable, clarity that reminds you that truth is not lost, only buried beneath the noise. So with every inhale, draw that light a little closer, and with every exhale, let it wash over you, your mind, your heart, and your spirit. Feel settle into the places where fear has been hiding. Feat illuminate the questions that you've been carrying. Feel whisper you're safe, you are guided, and you are not alone. I now invite you to set your intentions for this episode. Repeat these phrases aloud or in your mind. May I see beyond a surface. May I discern the deeper truth. May I understand the spiritual currents shaping our world.
SPEAKER_00Take one more breath and gently return.

Why Chaos Signals Realignment
Closing Meditation And Commission
SPEAKER_01If you've been feeling stretched in, if your spirit has felt unsettled, if you've been waking up with a heaviness that you can't quite explain, I want you to know something right here at the start. That I see you. I see the way you've been trying to hold yourself together while the world around you feels like is unraveling. I see the way you've been searching for steady ground in a season where everything just feels uncertain. I see the way you've been trying to make sense of a world that no longer looks or feel familiar. And no, you're not imagining it. The world is shaken on every single level. Politically, we're watching systems strain under pressure. Socially, we're witnessing fractures and places we once assumed were solid. Emotionally, people are caring more than their hearts were designed to hold. And spiritually, there is a deeper staring happening beneath the surface of our everyday life. Every day seems to bring a new disruption, a new tension, a new reminder that the old ways of doing things are no longer working. And people everywhere, across cultures, across generations, are feeling the weight of it as well. People are simply exhausted. People are overwhelmed. People are craving meaning in the middle of the madness. But here's the part that we often forget. In Scripture, shaking is not a sign that God has stepped away. And I know that some of us question that. Shaking is often the sign that God is drawing near. Shaking happens when something beneath the surface needs to be revealed. Shaking happens when what we've built our lives upon can no longer support who we are as a globe becoming. Shaken happens when truth has been ignored for too long and must rise to the surface. And right now, we are witnessing a globe shaken that is touching every place, every sphere of our lives. We are seeing institutions losing the trust they once commanded, hidden motives and hidden agendas that are being dragged into the light. Communities splitting along lines that didn't exist before, values being debated, stretched, and redefined. Truth becoming something that people negotiate instead of honor and fear being used as a tool, a weapon, a currency. And yet, beneath all of this, there is a deeper story unfolding. This moment in history is not random. It is not accidental. It is not meaningless. Scripture shows us that shaking comes when foundations are weak, when a truth has been compromised, when people have drifted for what anchors them. Shaking is the divine alarm clock that says, People, wake up. It is time to wake up. It is time to pay attention. Something globally in every single one of us needs to change. This moment is not just political. It is not just cultural either. It is not just social. This moment is profoundly spiritual. It is a moment of unrevealing of what has been hidden can no longer stay hidden. It is a moment of purification where what is false has now been separated from what is true. It is a moment of preparation where the world has been positioned for what is to come next. So the question to me is no longer what is happening? The deeper question for me, and maybe many of you listening, is what is being revealed to us right now? What is being redefined? What is being made ready? And as you ask those questions, I want you to remember this: that you are not powerless in what is happening. You are not invisible in this moment, and you are not in the least bit forgotten and annoys. We are all being invited to see things differently, to discern differently, to rise differently. And to be honest, I see all of us stepping into that calling. So when we scan the headlines today, it is easy for us to feel like we're witnessing a series of disconnected crises, random events, isolated tragedies, unpredictable shifts. But when we truly step back and look through a prophetic lens, a different picture for me begins to emerge. The news stops looking like chaos and starts looking like a pattern, a rhythm, a sequence, a story unfolding in real time. And across continents and cultures, we're watching movements that echo one another, even when they appear unrelated on the surface. We see economies straining under the weight of instability and inequality. Weather patterns are becoming more extreme and extremely unpredictable. Technology, right, is accelerating faster than our collective ethics can keep up. Institutions, they're losing their credibility as corruption is being exposed. We're seeing a rising in spiritual hunger that no political solution can satisfy. Now, these aren't random headlines to me. They are signposts, makers of a world undergoing a deep spiritual and structural transformation. And throughout history, whenever societies reached a tipping point, the prophets were the ones who stepped forward to help people interpret the moment. They didn't simply announce what was coming. They revealed what was already happening beneath the surface. They named the spiritual currents driving the invisible events. They connected the dots that other couldn't see. And that's what we need right now. Not predictions that so many people are using, but interpretation, not sensationalism, but discernment, not fear, but understanding. Because if we only consume the news at face value, we miss the deeper narrative unfolding beneath it. We miss the spiritual tension beneath the political tension. We miss the moral erosion beneath the cultural debates. We miss the longing for meaning beneath all of the global unrest. There is a prophetic pattern woven through the headlines. One that reveals a world that is wrestling right now with the truth, identity, and purpose. A world being confronted with what has been ignored for such a long time. A world being invited to awaken on every single level. Prophecy at its core is not about forecasting doom. And many people are using that as scare tactics. It is about illuminating what is hitting. It is about recognizing the threads that connect the visible to the invisible. It is about understanding that what looks like collapse may actually be reformation, that what looks like fragmentation may actually be preparation. That what looks like the end, which so many people are predicting, may actually be the beginning of something new. So when we view global events through this lens, the chaos doesn't disappear, but it becomes a little bit more coherent. The shaking, of course, doesn't stop, but it gains meaning. The uncertainty definitely doesn't vanish, but it becomes easy to understand. The world is not unraveling without purpose. It is being rearranged with intention. And those of us who learn to see the patterns, those who cultivate prophetic clarity, would not be swept away by all of the noise that is happening right now. They will stand steady, discerning, and awake. And across the world right now, one of the fierce and most consequential battles that we are witnessing is the battle for identity. Not the identity that we present ourselves online, not the identity shaped by our achievements or our failures, but the deeper identity. The one that determines how we see ourselves, how we move through the world, and what we believe about our purpose on this earth, our calling. We are living in an era where almost everything is being renegotiated. Ideas that once felt foundational are now being questioned. Concepts that once felt stabled are now fluid. Truth, morality, belonging, community, even the meaning of being human, everything is being stretched, redefined, and in some cases, dismantled. And in the midst of this cultural reshaping, people are being encouraged to build their sense of self on things that cannot hold the weight of a soul, on trends that change by the second, by the minute, by the hour, by the day, by the week, on trauma that was never meant to define us who we are, on political identities that divide more than they reignite us, on performance, on productivity, on public approval, which none of us can sustain. When identity becomes unraveled, everything else begins to wobble. This is why we're seeing such a profound emotional and spiritual instability across the globe. We are seeing anxiety rising like a tide with no shoreline. Imagine that. Loneliness deepening even in hyper-connected spaces. Communities fracturing under the pressure of difference. People silencing one another instead of seeking understanding. A culture which is obsessed with self, yet starving for belonging. A generation searching for meaning in all of the wrong places. Let's be honest, identity has always been the battlefield of the soul. Because if you don't know who you are, someone else will decide that for you. And if you don't know what you stand for, you will stand for whatever feels convenient and whatever's popular in the moment. If you don't know what grounds you live, you accept, you will be swept into whatever narrative is louder. And right now, The loudest voices are not always the wisest ones. This culture moment is pressing us on an individual level and collective level to ask more deeper, more honest questions, such as, who am I beneath the expectations placed on me? Who am I when no one is watching? Who am I when the world's definitions no longer fit? What truth do I cling to when everything around me is shifting? Now these questions are not just philosophical, they're spiritual. Because identity is not merely a psychological constraint, it is a spiritual inheritance. It is the place where purpose is born, where calling is recognized, and where clarity is restored. So what we are witnessing right now is not just a cultural crisis. It is a spiritual awakening disguised as confusion, a collective identity crisis that is pushing humanity to rediscover what is real, what is eternal, and what cannot be written by culture. This moment, contrary to what so many of us believe, and I can understand why we believe that right now, considering everything that is happening, but this moment is not meant to break us. It is meant to bring us back to ourselves, back to the truth, back to grounding, back to the identity that cannot be shaken by trends, politics, or public opinion. Now, let's lean into the question that sits beneath every headline, every crisis, every shift that we are witnessing across the globe. Why does it feel like the world is unraveling on every level, no matter where you go? Not the surface level answer, right? We're not looking for that surface level answer. We're not looking for that political answer either. Not the convenient answer either. But let's take a deeper, more spiritual, a prophetic answer. When we look through a biblical lens, chaos is rarely random. It is rarely without purpose, and it's rarely without direction. Chaos often rises when the world is standing at a crossroads, when what we have been no longer, we can no longer continue doing, and what is coming has not yet fully arrived. It emerges when the foundations people trusted begin to crack, when the illusions that we have built our lives upon start to dissolve, when the truth that has been buried begins to push its way to the surface. In seasons like this, we see truth being challenged as well as redefined. We see power shifting hands in ways that unsettle the comfortable, systems that was once felt immovable, suddenly trembling. We see hidden motives and concealed agendas being dragged into the light. We see a collective spiritual hunger rising across nations. And yes, darkness resisting because its senses its grip is loosening. These are not simply isolated events. They are symptoms of a world in transition, a world that is being realigned, a world that is being reawakened. Chaos in the biblical narrative is not simply destruction. It is often the threshold between what was and what will be. It is the tearing down of what cannot be hold and what cannot hold the weight of the future. It is the divine disruption that precedes divine order. And sometimes chaos feels like the labor pain before new life. Sometimes it is the shaking that reveals what is real and what is still fragile. Sometimes it is the holy interpretation that forces us to stop, to look, and to listen. So the deeper why behind the chaos is this. We are living through a global spiritual recalibration, a moment where humanity is being summoned to wake up, to see what we have longed ignored, to confront what we have longed tolerated, to release what we have outgrown, and to return to what is truth. This is not collapse. This is correction. This is not abandonment. This is alignment. This is not the final chapter. This is the turning of a page. We are still standing in the tension between the breaking and the becoming, between the shaking and the settling, between the storm and the stillness that follows. And though it feels unsettling to all of us, it feels unfamiliar, it feels heavy, there is a purpose in this moment. There is intention in this season. There is meaning woven into the very chaos that we fear. This is the unveiling before the rebuilding. This is the clearing before the clarity. This is the divine reset that prepares us for what is to come next. So now I would like to invite you to a closing and ending meditation.
SPEAKER_00Place a hand over your heart. Fill this rhythm. Steady, faithful, alive. Take a deep breath in and exhale slowly.
SPEAKER_01Imagine that same divine light from the beginning of our time together, now resting within you, not above you, not around you, but inside of you.
SPEAKER_00Let it whisper. You are grounded. You are protected. You are guided. You are part of something bigger than a chaos. Let your breath slow. Let your spirit soften. And as you inhale, receive clarity. And as you exhale, release fear. Stay here for a moment. Let the stillness speak. Let the truth settle. Let the peace return. And when you're ready, gently return.
Gratitude And Invitation To Share Stories
SPEAKER_01As we prepare to close out today's episode, I want you to take a moment and breathe slowly, intentionally, and with awareness. Because what we've explored together is not light. It is not casual. It is not something you simply listen to and walk away from unchanged. This conversation is an invitation, a summons, a reminder of who you truly are in a world that is desperate for clarity. You were born for this moment, not by accident, not by coincidence, not as a passive observer, but as an active participant in a generation undergoing profound spiritual transformation. You were not created to be overwhelmed by the world. You were created to interpret it, to stand in the middle of the noise and still hear truth, to walk through the shaking and still remain anchored, to witness the unraveling and still recognize the divine thread running through it all. You are not designed to drown in a chaos. You are designed to rise above it, to see what others overlook and to discern what others dismiss, and to also hold on to hope when hope feels lost. And you are not meant to fear the shaking. You are meant to understand its purpose. Because shaking is not the end. Shaken is the clearing. Shaken is the revealing, shaken is the preparation for what is to come next. And inside of all of us is a reservoir of wisdom, ancient, intuitive, and god breath. Inside of all of us is discernment, quiet, steady, sharpened, and we all realize. And inside of us is light, unmistakable, unyielding, and needed, especially in this moment. And the world needs all three right now, more than ever. So as you step back into your life, into your relationships, your work, your community, your daily rhythms, I want you to remember this. You are not powerless, you are not lost, you are not at the mercy of the times. You are a carrier of clarity in an age of confusion. You are a vessel of peace in a culture of panic. You are a keeper of truth in a world that keeps rewriting itself. So I invite you to walk forward with your head lifted, walk forward with your spirit awakened, walk forward with discernment sharpened. Walk forward knowing that you're guided always, protected, and deeply, deeply needed in this moment. And as you move through the days ahead, the weeks ahead, the months ahead, and the year, hold these two truths close. When the world is shaking, God is not absent, He is speaking. And discernment is not the ability to see the future, it is the ability to see clearly in the presence. So I thank you for spending this moment in communion with me. Your presence, your willingness, and your openness are the threads that hold this space together. Every minute that you choose to be here is a blessing, and I honor it with deep appreciation. And if you know someone in your life who feels called to share their journey on voices around the world, or if you feel the calling within yourself, I warmly welcome you to reach out. This space grows through the wisdom of many paths, many stories, and many truths. So again, I thank you sincerely for being here. I thank you for listening. I thank you for choosing clarity over confusion, presence over panic, and truth over noise. With tenderness, with gratitude, and with a full heart, this is your host, Obadiah. Until next time.
