Why He Started Podcasting
Early Support And Growth Plans
SPEAKER_04Okay, first, as you know, I'm Baptiste, host of Bapt Talk Podcast. Well, my topic to be about politics, drama, sport, abuse, whatever. I have an ear, I have a mind, and I'm knowledge. At the same time, though, you know, everything's on the table. I don't talk about no kids because they are future. But I will talk about their regular ass mamas and their soft ass daddies. But also, I'm gonna give a shout out to everybody who's been subscribing, downloading, sharing, even mention my name, Eaton Bampson Merch that I be having. I really do appreciate it. Now with that being said, let's get to the topic. Hey, it's like all my people been driving on me, hollering at me about women. I'm a dude. I give advice. But what they do is what they do, you know. I got a guy that called me like five times talking about he got used. First of all, dude, you can't blame her. You have to blame yourself. If the first time you did something and then she didn't do what you told, and then she didn't do what you asked her to do, or other way around, that's a red flag. You know, I can tell you how to say good morning, good night, you know what I'm saying, but how you treat a person is on you. Everybody do it's like everybody don't deserve to be treated nicely. You know? Hey, I got beat before. I took it as an L. And then I went out and got it again. You know what I'm saying? So don't let that don't let that hold you down. You know. Man, leave the kids up out of it, dude. I don't talk about kids, they're our future. If you bought a kid, you bought it meat. Real talk. But maybe get into podcasting. Man, this happened like a couple of years ago, right? I'll get my head cut. And I'll look at the TV and I'm looking at Charlemagne the guy. Then I'm looking at who was that? Give it a readiness. And I'm like, man, I can buy the same material, I can buy the same equipment and do the same thing. And I got knowledge of the streets, you know, 'cause I'm from the streets. From a low-end icky, you know. I did what I did. So after some time went past, like 700 days. I'm online. I see sound bar, lights, microphones and shit. So I'm like, man, I'm gonna spend this one twenty right quick. And I did that. But the main thing that was well the main the main part it was hard coming up with a name. I got names like Real Talk, because I see that a lot, or either for real, for real. But a female friend of mine came up with Bap Talk because I give good advice. And that made a lot of sense. You know what I'm saying? So I'm like, I, you know, I go on name with that. So I got in tune with some of my guys, they rap. You know, M O B, Mano Bags. He like, G, go and do what you're gonna do, and then I and then I support you. And I appreciate that. And then I'll let my other man, you know what I'm saying, shop by Rob, he's a photographer. You know, he's gonna be doing my my live stream on the 21st. He like, don't worry about nothing, no saying. Whatever you do, we got your back. So I so I went from there. And everything been a climb. I'm on all websites, I'm on all social media, I mean like all social media, every podcast I uh post, they go to every mainstream podcast. And then um start on the 20th, well, I say like on the start on the first, I'm gonna start doing clips for uh YouTube. I just bought up, I just bought some for that to like get that started. But that basically it though. This shit like another job though. I got a job. But after that job, I come here and man, I'm talking about man, today the topic is it's mother calling my phone. Can you do this for me, G, can you do that? And if I be having a good heart, I do it, you know what I'm saying? So that's why I got this platform to help other people, basically.
SPEAKER_05What they say Yeah, I'm from Chicago. On low end.
Boundaries, Helping People, Chicago Pride
SPEAKER_04Right? I'm a good guy, I ain't no bad guy. For real, for real. Tell you something about Chicago. Hey Chicago is a wonderful place, a wonderful city. Like for real. I mean, we got everything there. Theater, sports, you know, we got the big lake, big lake, Michigan. Air show. I mean, we got the food. If you go to Chicago, you can't go wrong. You was up north. Oh, I'm fucking the north side. No, I don't do the north side. No, see, um the north side, when I was coming up in Chicago, was on the other side of the fence. And I'm not gonna say what they was, but they was on the other side of the fence than me. I like females, you know what I'm saying? So, you know, that's why my name is Baptiste. Hey, but uh seriously though, Chicago's a good place. Where I be at? That's D14 classified. No, but I be out south, over east, out west, and I'd be in the hundreds. Ain't nowhere I don't go in Chicago. Why eat at? I like uh that like when I visit, right? When I visit, I go to I go to a boxy spot. I got a nice um steak spot on Walbass, if I'm not mistaken, that's Jackson and Walbass. And then like when I party up there, I'd be out and about, like 2-3 in the morning, I'd be having munchy. I hit up uh either White Palace or either hit up Maxwell. You can't go wrong with Maxwell. Get a double cheeseburger, pork chop sandwich, or either Polish. Let's say at White Palace, and you had a girl with you, treat her out. Here's the meal to get though. Steak medium well, scrambled label cheese, and grit. You can do coffee if you want to, but I prefer to do water. Yeah. Turn it out. For real, for real. That's a good question. What made me leave Chicago? What made me leave Chicago was a female, man. I ain't gonna lie. I said my my podcast is gonna be real. The reason I left Chicago was, I know the female, she beat me too. You know what I'm saying? Move up here, okay. Now I'm fishing out of prison. I wanted to take the city because I got tired of total. So move up here, her baby daddy get out. Oh, we can't beat the gather. He's on his way home, this and that. You gotta go. Motherfucker, I just I had a crib. I just got every dog on my TV, bed, dresser, table the whole nine yards. You know what I'm saying? And I was eating. So I guess he must have thought I was going by Chicago. No, I stayed up here. I've been for like eight, nine years. You know, I mean, it is what it is, though. I like it. You know, it's like when I go to Miami or eat up. My last two trips was uh Vegas last time this year. Last time last year, and then Miami the same year. I went to Miami twice that year, last year. Yeah, because uh I went and did the video with um Punchyman. He rapped in Chicago, Punchy Man Forever. He on YouTube. Check him out. He had a lot of hits. The second time I went, my sister's birthday, that was like two months apart. So I went right back. As soon as I landed, silly hit me telling my man, we're going back in June. Damn, dude, I just touched down. Alright. I want to book my ticket. But a little bit of advice. If you go to Miami, go to South Beach. Stay on the island. Don't go off the island. Because they shut the island down at a certain time. And that's where I be cracking it. Okay. So what I do up here where I'm at? Well, right now, I hustle. You know what I'm saying? I'm like a hustle man. I sell water to I sell water to anyway lakes out here. Right now, you see on podcasts and I work, you know, I'm an entrepreneur. And at the same time, though, I mean, I need money. I mean, I don't need money. I like having money. You know what I'm saying? That's me. I don't like going away with$102 in my pocket. Well, no, I tell you about it. I don't like going to where with$20 in my pocket. Like right now, if I ride off somewhere, I gotta have bond money in my pocket. So that's why I hustle. And hustle and hustle don't mean selling drugs, hustle man. Hustle means getting money. This is a hustle. Work is a hustle. Anything's a hustle. Okay, I mean, yeah, I feel you. So one thing I prime who are you? One thing I pride myself on, oh loyalty. You must know me or something. For real. No, I pride myself on loyalty because it's just like I get loyalty and I expect the same, and I'm a real motherfucker. So by me being real, you know, I show people how to I show people on how to better themselves.
Leaving Chicago And Travel Stories
SPEAKER_05Tasha, that ain't something. Tasha.
SPEAKER_04Okay. Oh no, I love kids. Oh my mama do. For real, for real. Because right, I feel like kids, they are a future. You know, back when I was growing up, I didn't have no role models. I had nobody show me the right way. See, I grew up in the street gang banging, you know what I'm saying? And if I knew what I knew now back then, it it'd be a lot of change. People I might even be changed, you know. And I'm not ashamed of what I done did. I'm not ashamed of what I've been through. But at the same time, though, I am ashamed of the people that I have been with. You know? So at the same time though, you know, it's just like I'm just me. Describe Baptist in one word. I mean one sentence. I can't because I'm live too. I can't say what I want to say because I might get banned for that. How old am I?
SPEAKER_05I'm 40.
SPEAKER_04Wow, y'all ask the craziest question ever. I'm on live on on TikTok. I'm trying to up my views. I'm trying to do other things, you know? And I'm hot, that's crazy. So y'all asking all these questions. I can ask y'all and back though, but keep asking them.
SPEAKER_05He's from the west side of Chicago. Okay, where at? Alaska. Alaska in what?
Hustle Mindset And Money Habits
SPEAKER_04No, Falaski go north and south. Yeah, I know, yeah. I am from Chicago then, if I know that. Right. Try and test me. No, I'm off State Street. No, I grew up in the project store. You know, honestly, I think them was some of the not the best time of my life, but it was some of the times that I really was me. You know. It's just like they say, don't change for the worst, change for the better. I kinda think I changed for the worst. Because I'm being somebody, you know that I'm not. A lot of things that I do, I wouldn't normally do. You know. I mean, I became this type of person, and so I moved out here because I don't want that same type of energy, that same type of vibe. No, that's like I have a host of nieces and nephews, and while I'm up here, I got a lot of god nieces and nephews, you know? And and and if they need me, I'm there. Ain't no secret. See, it ain't what you know is who you know. You feel what I'm saying? It ain't what you know is who you know. So at the same time, though, you know, you can be saying anything, and it's up to and it's up to me to believe it. But if I believe you and you do me built and you do me dirty, it's gonna get ugly.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Who the hell is this? I've got him on there.
SPEAKER_04No, uh, politics. You wanna get to politics with me? Hey, I don't really do I do politics, but I don't do politics online because I have an audience and then I ain't trying to lose them. Because I say some reckless ass shit. Like for real, for real. You know, I mean it is what it is though. I've been to jail a couple of times, I'm not ashamed of it. Drugs, guns. I did a bit. But at the same time, do I learn? Well, no, I didn't, because every time I went to jail, I'm in my cell trying to find a better way of doing what I was doing out there on the street. One thing I did learn though, I did learn is that if you do a crime, make sure you don't have no motherfucker. Make sure you don't nobody with you. Because they can't tell on you.
SPEAKER_05The world is snitching. For real, for real. The world is snitching.
Loyalty, Role Models, And Regrets
Politics Off-Mic And Jail Lessons
Fighting For Rawdog’s Freedom
Keeping Trouble Away And Red Flags
SPEAKER_04You watching me on TikTok. Wow, for real. But no, though, at the same time, though, I just can't be up like 30, 40 minutes, you know what I'm saying? I'm just gonna get this out the way. Right now I'm tracking my boy Rawdog out of jail. He's been down for 25 years, wrongfully convicted. In Chicago, you got crooked cops putting pistols on people, putting murders on people, send him down to pity, and they send him down in prison. He got 46 years for some for some shit he didn't do. That ain't cool, you know. So at the same time, though, the thing you see on Facebook, I mean it. I don't need nobody's money, I have my own money. Like I said, I don't come outside with nothing less than, you know. But at the same time, though, you know, the reason I do that is because of people like, it's because of the cops out here. I get a ticket for walking. They say I'm driving while really walking, though. You know, so it's a lot of quicker cops everywhere. No, I don't bring much complimentality up here because if I did, they have more policy up here. Now, because it's quiet, it's nice, you know what I'm saying, and then I like my environment. You know, I don't this is my thing here. A lot of my guys want to come up here and hang out and kick it. I tell them it dope. I don't need that around me. You know what I'm saying? I don't need that. Because at the same time, though, they all play with guns and shit. You know what I'm saying? I don't, I mean, I'm I mean, I'm old school. I mean, I use my fist in the batter somebody. I ain't trying to um go down for a murder. And I know by y'all doing that, it will. You know what I'm saying? So now she said that uh what's five red flags in a female. Wow. Liar ambition. A woman that lies a lot, you know. If you tell one lie, I'm saying I tell another lie. If you ain't got no ambition, if you ain't got no, it's like, if you don't see yourself doing nothing in a couple of years, you know what I'm saying? Like, you can't be a bop all your life. You know what I'm saying? You cannot. Especially if you got kids. That's one thing I hate about a female. If you ain't got no ambition and you lie a lot, I mean like damn. Pet peeves, it's like I have my own everything. So if I lie you to come spend the night in my crib, don't leave no hair in my place. Don't leave, I mean, I done found uh little boat, look, little boat, what's it called? Boat tie, whatever y'all put in y'all hair. Hairs in my like hairs in my motherfucking uh shower. Yeah, I got a lot of pet peeve for a female, and I don't like none bigger than me. I'm not the best, but I'm not the worst. I don't heard yay and I heard nay. So I'm not perfect. I'm just a good motherfucker. A good man rather. So if you said that don't sound right. So what's the easy first of all? Hold on, I'm not Dr. Field. I'm Deacon Bap. I can't tell you how to catch a man because I don't know nothing about you. You know what I'm saying? And a lot of women lie. Like, you can be the problem. You might have been three, you might have been in three um situationships in like three years. Evidently, you're going through three men in three years. That means that you're the problem. Because ain't that wrong with you? I mean, like me personally. I find out right girl, she cooked, she clean, she worked, she got a good mindset, ain't no drama. She's staying. Now, I don't think no man up here at least or wherever gonna want a woman that's full of drama. I just left that. Yeah, I've been in a relationship. The longest have been like what? Three and a half, four years. She cheated on me. I'm working and hustling and paying the bills. Yeah, that shit hurt. And they so slick with it right now, they they tell a hundred lies. You can be moving with the motherfucking um, hey, look, you be having a move with a side dude. For real, for real. Alright, you might be the side dude and you have to and you have to move with a dude. I mean, it's just kind of crazy. Yeah, if you I mean, if you notice me online, I don't do a lot of videos, but I'm gonna start though, because at the same time, don't try to up my brand. I recently got my ALCs and everything, so everything is is is on point. It's on me to sit there and get things started. I suppose they got a designer flaked on me. It's just like I put my trust in people and they flaked on me. That's why I am that's where I am like I am right now. You know. No, I mean, I don't take everything out. I mean, I don't take what a person done to me out up up on the next person. I wasn't raised like that. I forgive, I just don't forget. No, so at the same time though, if I need on this podcast, though, they don't hear y'all what I'm reading y'all questions this. Y'all question off my laptop. So how long I've been in Chicago? I've been in Chicago, like 19 years. And yeah, um, I like this shit not made because I'm better than myself. There's certain things I'm doing up here that I cannot do up in Chicago, you know, like for real. If you've never been there, it's a great place to uh go there and visit, vacation the whole nine yards. But like me, I grew up there. Grew up in the streets. I'm talking about, I'm talking about whatever you see on the news, I had I did because I had to do. It's either eat or I get eaten. Right. But at the same time, though, you know, I mean, like, you don't want to catch yourself missing out there. You know, like me, I like the finest thing to life. You know, real talk. I do. And and and it's like, I'm not gonna have my hand out after another muffler something, and I can go get at the same time. I'm not a hater. I never rob no muffin body because I believe that I can get anything that he got. Easy. Plus, I know a lot of people. You know, I mean one time I went to visit Chicago and my buddy told one of my guys I took with me that, watch out for them. You know what I'm saying? They might they grind me. First off, it's who you with, you insulting. Me personally, I'm not a grind motherfucker. Because when I go somewhere, I got a bag with me. You know what I'm saying? So I'm swinging my mouth like, man, this is how I am up here. You know, I mean, I'm going on east side, going on the west side, and the flow. I'm out south, you know, and I'm out there lit. I'm like for real. I don't got paid for no smoke. I ain't got pay for no drink. Now I ain't said I'm all that though, but I am in good grace. Tell you something about the uh my T. How you know my T Well Mont T is um, he's the DJ of Chicago, DJ Marty, L at Side Studios, you know. He's well renowned. He's one of my best friends, well, I'm gonna say my best friend, but he's one of my closest friends. Grew up together, you know. I know him and his whole family. See, I don't like doing this shit here, man. Why keep cursing? No, like, no though, but at the same time, though, you know, um, being Chicago, it's fun. Like, for real. I mean, I take me for instance. I gamble. I'm out there shooting dice on the street, you know. I drink, I'm out there smoking. My favorite drink was Raymond. And for those who don't know, that's Red Meek Patron mixed with some Red Bull. Because a lot of females out there, and a lot of guys out there, you know what I'm saying, they start uh popping hitters. I don't pop no ecstasy. I only smoke and drink. And by them doing that, you know, and and I got females, they be out the hitter. I gotta keep up. So I had to up the antees, like, you want to drink on my patron, well look, you take two of these shots, and I got my Remy and my Patron and my red bull, and I mix it with some ice, you know, shake it up a little bit, chill it, and I be lit. So by the time night comes and we go and we go home, you know, I'm gonna say in parts her. You should try. That shit, that decent. Especially if you're a drinker. Well, I'm not gonna say where I live at right now, you know what I'm saying? But it's it's a little small time in the boondocks, you know, and I'm able to do what I do, you know, and I like that. Don't have no wants, no needs, no nothing. You know what I'm saying? I ain't got the best, I mean, my living condition, it's mine. I'm looking to move as soon as possible, you know, but at the same time, though, I mean, it is what it is. Ain't no sidewalks. So let's just tell you something. I don't drive neither. If I drive, I gotta spend a night. I'm talking about out of town. I have my car like, I got my car when it was like 122,000 miles. Had for five years. It just cracked 140,000 miles. So that's to let you know that I don't do too much driving. I drove Chicago once, and I drove to the cities a couple of times, but in that I don't know man. I cherish what I got. Thank you. I try to be real and I try to be down on earth. You said, hold on. Did I read that right? You said you want to ask your dude for some money to move. Hey, why you ask me that question? You said that, hold on. Okay, I'll return to Deacon Bap or Dr. Bap. If you got a dude and you trying to move, and you ask another nigga you messing with for someone, that ain't cool. That's a dude y'all to take care of you, like for real. I Understand why you shouldn't say that like that. I'm independent. Yeah. Because I don't like how the government treat us. You know, I'm the type of dude that I don't need food stamps. And I'm cooking Thanksgiving dinner. Turkey, greens. I'm cooking turkey greens, yams, some dressing. And matter of fact, I gotta get these pies tonight, too. And uh I might do some potato salad. You know, that's what I do every year. I mean, even though I'm single, I stay one myself. My mom always taught me, hey, a son, women don't cook no more. So right, you gotta learn how to cook. So I did, so I've been throwing down. You know what I'm saying? At Plum from Chicago, so I got that gene in me. But my favorite thing to cook, I love me some jerked chicken. I could do it on the grill or I can do it and make a difference. Or having jerked chicken tomorrow. Jerk chicken cabbage. I don't know. It all depends if my uh people pop up or not, if she pop up or not. Well, I'll tell you something about me. Uh my name is Bap, right? From Chicago, from the low end. I have a long history. It's just like I don't, it's just like I don't I don't regret nothing I did, and I don't regret nothing that I've been through. It's called it's called lesson learned. See, you gotta learn in order to grow. But being in Chicago, though, you know, it's just like it's just like coming up in the street. I'm in the streets, right? I mean, it's just like you gotta know what to do and like what not to do. You can have that, I don't give a fuck attitude, or it is what it is, attitude, but it's always consequences behind every situation, no matter what it is. And a lot of people up here don't even a lot of people up here, they don't even understand that. It's just like they be like, it is what it is. I tell them open the door, dude, you can't tell me that because I invented them words, you know what I'm saying? And it's like, by you saying it is what it is, you saying you don't care. And believe me, I know you care. You just talking because you have some people around you. So it's consequences behind every situation. Don't act like you got the I don't give a fuck attitude and then knowing damn what you do. So about Chicago, it taught me that. You know what I'm saying? It's just like you gotta be aware of your surroundings. You can't say it is what it is. Cause I know a lot of people that it's not here right now having that same attitude. You know, I mean, like, I'm like, I don't know how to call it Gen X, Gen Z X, whatever it is. I'm an 80-90 baby. And I got a lot of guys right now that's not here for having that attitude. So, you know, it is what it is though, but at the same time, though, you know, I understand. Yeah, uh, I was in the oh wow, she won't ask me a cell. Yeah, I was in a game, you know, GD. I'd be tired though, you know. Yeah. Love and Crips are not the same. No, our first cousins is the SDs, I think. They're not the BDs. S D's.
SPEAKER_03Where you from? You asking all these men, you asking all these questions about Chicago. I ain't no snitch.
SPEAKER_05A lot of people want you, no, I'm just inviting them on here. Like invite. Invite. Yeah, invite, invite. Withdraw.
unknownNo, I don't know.
SPEAKER_04I don't know. Okay, but anyway, though. But yeah, though, at the same time, though, you know what I'm saying? Just like me doing my podcast. You know, I'm I'm sitting here telling I can't smoke on TikTok, but I'm gonna go on um I'm gonna go on Facebook next and do that live one there. I got a lot of guys up there who want to talk to me about this Rawdog situation. That's what I'm trying to have to get out. So if you mess with me and you and you know me and you're cool with me, go on my Facebook page, Baptiste. I got Rawdog up there. His name's Edward Pleasant. He'd been locked up for 25 years, wrongfully convicted for a murder he didn't commit. He reached out to me and asked me, and he asked me, would I help him? He asked me like, I bought a lawyer. I said I can put it out there, you know, I'm using my platform, and I'm planning on doing that for him. So at the same time, though, you know, I want everybody who calls up my people, my friends, whatever it is, to tune in, help out, you know. And we need that there.
SPEAKER_03Who are you on TikTok? Who are you on TikTok?
Relationships, Ambition, And Drama
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I'm single. That's not what you heard. You got jokes. But now though, at the same time, though, it's like I'm sitting here and I'm chilling, you know. I mean, all I do is work, eat, work, eat, work, eat, and and and hustling is working. A lot of people don't understand that they think I'm just some type of uh do-youxelf drug. You know, I might go out to the body, but like, you got this, you got this. Hold on, I don't do I don't get out like that. You know what I'm saying? I mean, just because I'm black and and I know how to dress. You think I'm a drug dealer? I'm not a drug dealer. Now, if you want to smoke a blood, we can. You feel me? But like with that being said, this first, no, I got it. It's like with this with that being said, this first this first 40 minutes, you know, I'm gonna cut it to an end. You know what I'm saying? I appreciate y'all tuning in. Like I said, y'all keep subscribing, sharing, download. Greatly appreciate it. Love y'all.
