My First Meeting With Dani Gee, Real Talk
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Two strangers sit down and skip small talk. We trade stories about single parenting, what it means to be both comfort and consequence, and how hard it is to stay firm when you want to be your kid’s safe place. Dani opens up about healing after domestic violence and choosing counseling to break patterns. I share where I fell short as a father and why I believe standards, not fear, give kids a path to stand on. We push and pull on the same idea from different angles: accountability is love in motion.
Then we wander into the unexpected—homesteading dreams, backyard chickens, and the great “fresh eggs vs BBL grocery eggs” debate. It’s funny and tense in equal measures, but it exposes a bigger question: who do you trust with your body and your food? That thread unspools into the grind of modern life, “rehabilitation” that isn’t, and why some of us feel like we live in cells we decorate. We talk speed, convenience, and the quiet courage of choosing a slower, more intentional life even when the world sprints.
Dating and standards bring the heat. Why do so many of us pick red flags we swore off? Are we trying to save people or prove something to ourselves? We argue about social media respect, thirst traps, and whether likes count as disloyalty. The answer we land on isn’t cute: trust and boundaries beat surveillance and ultimatums. Along the way, we wade into history and headlines—what gets taught, what gets hidden, and how to think for yourself without turning bitter. If there’s a thesis here, it’s this: life is chess, not checkers. Strategy over impulse. Presence over performance. Healing before partnership.
Tap play for raw, unfiltered, funny, and vulnerable. If this conversation hits home, share it with a friend, subscribe for the next round, and leave a review—what red flag will you stop for next time?
Cold Open And Vibes Set
SPEAKER_06Looking gully in the toy niggas, they talking about large money.
SPEAKER_04What's the time? If you feel like that time again.
SPEAKER_01It's that time again. Time for black talk. Hey, all y'all in the audience. I was seeing the game and I'm gonna be. Right now. This one main man, Jay-Z.
SPEAKER_06No doubt, they could buy my life for shit. And all the towns like gamers that I kill with shit. And all the federal ass niggas that I hustle with. Throw your joints in the air when tell me what you shit. These fake rappers can't really know I'm loving it. You feelin' it?
SPEAKER_04If you feel it's hell in the style.
SPEAKER_06I heard motherfuckers playin' they may ho. May ho say okay, so make another hole. Niggas wasn't playing a day roll. So we parted ways like been in J Lo. Should have been did it, but I've been in the day, so put friends over business into the day though. When friends, penetentious this day, glow. Ain't nothing left to say though. Guess we forgot what we came for. Should've stayed a food and breverage. Too much flow stain, too much fan Rostin. I ain't a bitch, but I got it to Rossville. Had to get the challenge up on film. I ain't even wanted to be fixed. Hey, I give out three chances to guess what time it is. I be honest, man. Everywhere. When you could look in the mirror, like here I am, and still not be what you become. I'm no guilty of two, but not like them.
SPEAKER_04You lost one, let go to get one. Lose some the wings.
SPEAKER_06Don't think it's meant to be. But she loves to work more than she does me. And honestly, at 23, I would probably love my work more than I did she. So we, it's me and her. It's what she preferred. So for me, it's work. And that's where we differ. So I have to give her free time, even if it hurts. Oh free, money, it's deserved. You can put on this earth to be all you can be like the reserve. To be my time, and it's all me deserved. So I have to allow her time to serve. The time's now for her, the time's still mature. And maybe we can be we again like we were. Finally, my time's too short to share. And the acts for now it ain't fair. So yeah, she's right.
unknownLet go together.
Welcome To Bap Talk And Guest Intro
SPEAKER_01I ain't gonna lie. Everybody got it wrong. They talking about New Year's party. They talking about drinking and shit. We gon' smoke. That's that's true. But that's not the right answer. Hey, the time is Bap Talk. Time to start this podcast. Hey, right now, I'm Baptiste, host of Bap Talk Podcast. We got a very special guest on the house. You know, a lot of people call her Danielle. I call her Danny G. You know? She got a story to tell. And you know, Baptiste, I got this podcast. My platform open to everybody. So at the same time, though, you know, we're gonna get in. Right now we've been smoking, we chilling, and we talking. You know, and trying to get into it. So you welcome.
SPEAKER_03Thank you. Can we also let them know that this is our first time meeting?
New City, New Mindset
SPEAKER_01Yeah, this is our first time meeting, so it might be a little awkward, you know what I'm saying? But at the same time, though, it is what it is though. We've been getting in on baptoe.
SPEAKER_03We've been having a vibe though. He's a chill dude, you feel me?
SPEAKER_01Thank you for that. So, Danny, tell the people out in the world something about yourself.
Single Parenting And Discipline
SPEAKER_03Well, I am a 27-year-old mother of two. And yeah, I don't know. I I I moved back to Alexandria. Can honestly say, I don't know. It's kind of different. It's a different vibe now. Okay, what you mean by that? It's different. It's it's a little diverse now, too, you know. Like I'm seeing more people, and I'm like, oh, you know. But yeah. I mean, I was in Virginia for, you know, 10 years, so coming back to Minnesota and having to deal with winter and how you guys handle winter is just like I don't know about you, yeah. No, no, yeah, because you've been here too. You've been here too. It's like you're part of you guys, you know what I'm saying? I'm even part of the you guys now. I've been here for like a year and uh a couple months now, so I have to say you guys to me as well. So but you know, I don't know, it's just it's a different vibe, but it's something that I feel like you just have to change your perspective on, also, because that's really how life will get better for you. So, you know, having that positive mindset, even though things that you're going through might not be all that positive, you just gotta change your perspective on it.
SPEAKER_01Okay, I'll figure on that. Well, look, being on bath talk, like I tell you, I'm with the guests. Minds are the dialogue, not a monologue. I don't do all asking the questions. If you have anything you want to ask me, you can ask me. So it's a dialogue, it's a conversation. That's bab talk. Okay, that's a podcast. I don't care if it's talking about sports. I don't care about sports, politics, personal lives, individuals. Only thing about me is I don't talk about the kids because I love the kids. Right. But we can't talk about their mamas and their daddy in real life. I'm just saying. I'm just saying though. If there's some clowns, there's some clown. There's some buggy heads, there's some buggy heads in real life. Some drive turkeys, or some drive turkey. Yeah, you know what I'm saying? So that's so right, that's just me. I'm gonna keep it real. So I ain't got nothing to hide. I mean, I I throw everything on the table, you know. It is what it is, though. So my question is to you to start everything off is okay now, you're a parent, you say, right?
SPEAKER_03I am.
SPEAKER_01I am. How many kids do you have?
SPEAKER_03I'm I have two kids. I'm a mommy out of two. Uh-huh. You know.
SPEAKER_01Two boys, two girls, boy and a girl.
SPEAKER_03I have a boy and a girl. My daughter is the oldest. Okay. And my son is the youngest. Okay. And he definitely acts his age. You do? Yeah. He gives me a run for my money, I tell you. Yes. Yes, that boy right there. Oh my gosh. And I don't know if it's just like that's that's another thing. Like, sometimes I feel like it's because I can't. I'm like trying to be the mom and the dad in the role.
SPEAKER_01Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on.
SPEAKER_03I'm sorry. Are we starting too deep? No, oh wait, oh wait. What a daddy. Oh wait. So he lives in Virginia. Okay. Yeah. He don't play a role. He lives in Virginia.
SPEAKER_00Okay. Okay. So uh, hey, you asked for this.
SPEAKER_03Hey, hey, no, you're right. You know, uh hey, I'm gonna be honest. Hey, I didn't lie.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_03He lives in Virginia.
SPEAKER_00Okay, okay, go ahead. Go ahead, go ahead, go ahead, go ahead, go ahead.
SPEAKER_03But I don't know. I feel like that's the the hardest thing about being for you know a son is I don't know if that makes complete sense how I said it, but you know, I I have to be the mom and the dad in the role. So like I'm trying to be that comforting parent, and I'm also trying to like discipline. And I feel like he's like confused by it because like I'm the nurturer also. I feel like like dads are nurturing, but at the same time, you guys know how you are. Like, hold on, yeah. Let's talk about it.
SPEAKER_01Well, first of all, like becoming kids, I'm this me here, point blank. I'm not no like safe mess, like I'm beyond, I got a lot of nieces and nephews out here.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_01Oh, and and then I'm not the parent or or or the uh uh or the role model that would be like you do bad, I take care of you, or I hit you. No, I want you to be better than me, because in me, in the streets, I was I'm talking about I was a mess, so I want you to be good. Right. But at the same time, I want you to do what your mama tells you to do. Right. And then if you don't, that's when I'm gonna step up. But see, some parents can't take that though. You shouldn't be doing that to my first of all, he needs a father figure in his life cut. To me, a father figure is supposed to get him that knowledge of being a being a man and and right doing right. But a lot of women. Yeah, a lot of women.
SPEAKER_03Like it's a part of the system, though.
SPEAKER_01I mean, I don't do that. I mean, I mean, coloring, I mean, I mean, I mean, I I nurture, but dude, if you let's say like you getting A's in school, you drop down into a C or D. And then a mom don't say nothing only if you cock at it. Like, what's going on, dude? You know what I'm saying? And don't come to me talking about, well, Uncle Bap, I need no man. First of all, that nigga's serious?
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Is that BTA time, both of the ass time?
SPEAKER_01No, I wouldn't say see, back there would be when he did something real crazy, like taking a gun to school or something like that. But no, though, I mean, I mean, like, I I try to show him a better way.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So evidently in school, he he must be uh cock at it. He he looking at a girl or he ain't studying or someone got his attention. Oh gosh. So so it's even like he ain't got the thing he wants. If you want that, you know what I'm saying? You gotta do what you gotta do. Right. But if you start fucking up, you ain't getting that.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_01A lot of parents do what they a lot of parents nowadays. They just got the toy. Yeah, it is. I'm like, with my discipline.
SPEAKER_03I feel like I'm I hate to admit it, but I'm on the balance.
SPEAKER_01Huh?
SPEAKER_03I'm on the balance of that. Like because like, yeah, I actually sometimes I'm not always the the most strict with disciplining. See, you know, and and that's a bad thing. I'm not gonna lie.
SPEAKER_01You sing Wang True.
SPEAKER_03You said what? I said you sing Wang. I am, single.
SPEAKER_01I can tell. Okay. I no disrespect. No disrespect. Cause if you had a like me, say for instance, I'm gonna be honest with you. I'd be like, hey, hey, hey, look, the shitty dude, that shit ain't cool. You know what I'm saying? Like, like, no, you're not gonna get no more for an iPhone 17, and then look, you doing this shit. See, me personally, by me being who I am, you know what I'm saying, and by me coming up like I was, I done had the things that I wanted. And and then that may work hard for it. Nowadays, kids don't work hard for it, and they and look, they still give what they want. You're right. That ain't cool.
SPEAKER_03It's not. I don't I don't give them like big things, and they couldn't even handle it, honestly. I'm not gonna lie. Like I feel like technology right now for my kids, not it's not even technology, you know.
SPEAKER_01It can be a choo-choo train.
SPEAKER_03Okay, yeah. And then they don't take care of it.
SPEAKER_01You'll get the man, but you ain't getting the train.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
Father Figures And Expectations
SPEAKER_01You feel what I'm saying? I mean, I'm sorry, you know what I'm saying? But if people ask me, hey, I mean, I grew up on I'm from Chicago on the projects from the icky. Yeah. And a lot of things that I wanted, I didn't get because I was a motherfucker out there in the streets.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_01So if if you want, you gotta work hard for it. And I was always taught, you know what I'm saying, come with the church. God give you what you need and not what you want. And then by me, and then by us being children of God, we not gonna give you what you want. We give you what you need. Right. You know what I'm saying? If you're being bad in school, that's when our pet peeve, you gotta learn to make it places. That's true. That's like I want our kids to be able to, that's like my children. It's more psychological discipline. Yeah, you're right. My kids are grown. I'm beyond. More advanced. But see, the kids not days.
SPEAKER_03Oh, so you do you do have children. Yeah. Okay. I mean, I mean So Right. Are you a mom? I mean, not a mom. Are you a mom? Are you I'm sorry. Are you a father of a boy or girl or a girl? Two boys. Two boys, okay.
SPEAKER_01And they grown.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01But see, they watch me in the streets though. And one of my sons, I don't like what he do, you know what I'm saying? He's in the streets.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_01The other one, he he's more like me. I'm I mean he's a good dude. He hustles, he works all night, and then he takes care of the kids. I understand that. You know what I'm saying? But my older son, he played, I mean like, I'm like, he know. I'm saying, and then look, it's like we talk.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I mean, like, uh like like like a little G I I call him little bat. You know what I'm saying? Like, hey little bat, hey, hey, hey, bat. Nigga, knock it off. You know what I'm saying? And I s and and I explained to him. One thing I do regret is not showing y'all a better weight.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_03So you do think it reflects on like how you parent?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Parenting is everything in the world.
SPEAKER_03Even when they're grown up though, like, okay, why why do you feel like, well, okay, I understand that. But at the same time, like, all right, I'm going to counseling right now. Okay. Like, I am trying to reverse what I learned throughout my childhood years. Like, so reverse that trauma that I've experienced. Okay. I mean, you know, I I I don't blame my parents. I don't know. You know, like as an adult, I understand. Because like, I feel like even raising my two, you know, I'm like, well, yeah, you can, absolutely.
SPEAKER_01See, me, you should blame your parents.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01Because you know what? They should still be, it's like, they should play a role in your life. Cause they should see the mistakes that they made. You feel what I'm saying? So if you it's raised and see, okay, I don't blame my mom for nothing. Because right, I I raised my single um my parents. My mom raised me. I ain't had no father figure. You know what I'm saying? So like she went out there in the streets.
SPEAKER_03Right.
SPEAKER_01But see, if my pussy dad was, he be like, hey, don't do that. Hey, right, you know what I'm saying? And see, by me going through all these trials and tribulations back in Chicago, now like I told you earlier, I done been through a lot. And then that and then look, that would make me change my my whole look on my whole outlook.
SPEAKER_03So what what age were you when you were like, you know what, fuck this. I'm just changing my whole life around. Like, I always don't know.
SPEAKER_01No, no, she, see, see, see, see. Oh, you barely went in it. No, see, I was up in age. See, one thing about people who go to jail, and my mama, swear to God, on Larry. We keep the same mentality. We talk that shit in there, but at the same time, though, we come home thinking of a better way not to go back. Right. Yes. But we still go back.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_01A lot of people don't understand that. We supposed to be, how they say it, rehabilitated. Right. That's just a way to sit down, think, probably go to the library, play, and then look at TV. And go ahead.
SPEAKER_03I'm sorry. I don't even mean to cut you off, but if you think about it, it's not really rehabilitation. No. That's why they named it jail, you know. They want people to feel like caged animals. Like, you know what I'm saying? And I hate to say it like that, but that's really like how oh my gosh, I feel like cage. Oh, yeah, so but you know, I really feel like that's how the system is. Like it's no rehabilitation. No, I have not.
SPEAKER_01So let me so so how do you feel about Alexandra?
SPEAKER_03I'm just gonna do my best to take my black ass out of that.
SPEAKER_01Well, look, well, look, look, well, look, well, look, look, this me here. I feel like where I live at is jail. Because we do the same thing. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
Generational Patterns And Healing
SPEAKER_01This is a cell. We go outside to the yard, that's outside. We back in the and then and look. You know what I'm saying? So right, and then if you work, it's like you got a choice to work. Like me, I go to work, come home. I'm going back to my cell.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01And then it's a choice if you want to go to the gym or not. Or work out or not. You know what I'm saying? Like, we all have free. And see, why I live at it's real talk. It's just like jail, because right, I'm not from here. Right. I can't do the things I I was doing back in Chicago here. Because no, at the same time, though, I wanna be outside.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And then by the end of the- You don't need to be outside anyways.
SPEAKER_03It's fucking cool.
SPEAKER_01I mean, I mean, oh no.
SPEAKER_03It's close shit.
SPEAKER_01I have me a listen. When I was in the building, I swear to God, when we had now look, I don't have a coat on. I have a hoodie on. I plan to remedy and I be smoking.
SPEAKER_03I'm telling you. Talking shit to the guy. Oh, see.
SPEAKER_01But see, the thing is.
SPEAKER_03I don't be going outside like that. Man, look. I run into my car. I'm in a t-shirt.
SPEAKER_01A lot of people do not believe that I'm bringing it from the streets because I changed by me being up here.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01I can't bring the mentality that I had in Chicago up here. Because you know why? It'd be ugly. So I try to be there and be like, okay, yeah, that's all cool, fine, and then. Right. And and like, which really they. You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_03Some stuff is real fake around here. Yeah, it is. And that's the problem. And then that's why I could not get used to like being back in Minnesota. Because I'm like, like, I'm from the, you know, I'm from Virginia. And I Virginia is for lovers, as they say. Like dead ass. I was from Lynchburg, Virginia. I lived in.
SPEAKER_01I knew somebody that was in, I think it's called Renoke or Roki or something. Roanoke. Roanoke, yeah. I know somebody out there. You know what I'm saying? Like Renoke? Hey, I know it, though. You know what I'm saying? I've been out there before.
SPEAKER_03Since we're on this topic, do you say Appalachian or do you say Appalachian?
SPEAKER_01A what?
SPEAKER_03Just like, you know how people say like Appalachian Mountains or Appalachian Mountains? What do you say?
SPEAKER_01I don't even know because I never said it before.
SPEAKER_03You haven't? What what what?
SPEAKER_01Appalachian.
SPEAKER_03Appalachian?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, or Appalachian. I bet you Appalachian. That's like people talk about it.
SPEAKER_03They say Appalachian here.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so right. That's like when they say I say ambulance. I mean I meant ambulance. It's over ambulance. I didn't know that. I mean, listen. Who all listening? I'm from Chicago. I'm from the hood. I don't play all that. I don't do all that, that pronunciation. I got a slang, I got a slang language. You know what I'm saying? So do you say pop or soda? I say pop. Oh, you're from here. No.
SPEAKER_03No, you're Minnesota nice. No. I've been saying pop all my life.
SPEAKER_01You know what I'm saying? I mean, I've been saying pop on my life. But see, at the same time, though, you don't catch nobody else called time I go to the store and get me a soda.
SPEAKER_03No. That's my I swear me and my dad be saying that though. No, for real, for real. We don't do that. I call it soda. Because it's originally called soda pop. Soda pop. They used to call it back in the day.
SPEAKER_00No. Where?
SPEAKER_03What? You ain't ever seen an old like 80s movie, 90s movie, and they're saying soda pop.
SPEAKER_01And then who's in there? I can't think any black brother saying that.
SPEAKER_03You can't I can't answer that question. I believe the fit.
SPEAKER_01At the same time, though, come on. We always say go to the store and give me two liter uh uh uh a coke. You're gonna say two liter pop. We don't say soda pot. We're saying soda pop for. That don't sound right.
SPEAKER_03I mean, I just I don't know.
Jail, Rehabilitation, And Realities
SPEAKER_01Well uh I've been here before. That's all I can say. So back to the conversation though. I'm uh it's because we read all. Now now look, okay, now you say you you're a single parent, you got two kids. Yes. So have you been looking? For like a partner? Yeah, partner or something like that. I mean, I mean No.
SPEAKER_03You better pay how I I wanna I want them to find me. Now I can say I was on a dating site before.
SPEAKER_01For real? Okay, which one?
SPEAKER_03I can't tell you like that. Okay. I mean, I'm I'm just saying I'm not sure what I'm saying. I'm updating. It was Facebook dating. I'm embarrassed to say it, but I wanted to find my man. You feel me?
SPEAKER_01I got people all over the world. You never know. Yeah. I mean, I mean, she is attractive young lady. She's single. She works hard. You know what I'm saying? I mean, like, she's like, And I do work hard and I cook. I also asked you that. That's what my pet P. If you can't cook, hey, hey, hey, I don't know. I can't cook better than her. You know what I'm saying? But no, so so so right. Nah, because like I was saying, though, I feel like a man should play a role in a kid's life no matter what it is. You know what I'm saying? Okay. Unless unless he's a clown and then he won't teach all types of hatred. Right. Right, like negativity. And that's not cool. Right. You feel what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So so right. So where are you looking to be in five years though? Like, I mean, like, what's going on?
SPEAKER_03I want to have my own house with a small little farm, good acres land. Maybe two. Two acres is all I want to start with. Okay. Because I don't want to ruin the rest of it. Okay. But I want some chickens out there. Yes, I do. I um my stepdad helped me with that, you know. So I I can I can get the eggs, I can clean them, you know what I'm saying? I can also sell them pretty well, I think. I've grown I've grown my own garden, but it has to have this the right climate. I'm trying to get used to the climate here, like growing stuff inside. Yeah. Should I start with like a marijuana seed?
SPEAKER_01No, I'm just yeah, hey, that's better than growing chicken. I ain't gonna lie. Because I would never come to your house and tell me, let me get a couple of eggs.
SPEAKER_03Fresh eggs?
SPEAKER_01Whoa, why?
SPEAKER_03You want to get those bleached eggs from the store though?
SPEAKER_01I swear to God, I will. You will? I listen, she's an ex-friend of mine's, right? She had chickens. Most of the eggs, but no, no. Why I don't know if something in there or not. I don't know if it's live chicken in there.
SPEAKER_03You don't know. You don't know. I wouldn't I would never put a customer through that. You know, okay, so this is the thing. I feel like okay, this is why I know. Okay. I grown up on eggs that were like from our own chickens. Okay. For a long time.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_03When I was living in Virginia, we had a couple acres. So my stepdad taught me all that stuff and like started gardening. Like, he planted his own trees, all this stuff, tomatoes. This is the first time I ever seen a potato come from the ground. Like, I didn't know that it was actually like in the ground, but like we were digging and like it grow. Yeah, it's it's so cool just to see, you know, like all that stuff come to earth or life from the earth, basically, is what I mean. But yeah, I and first of all, I'm just saying, like, you said you would rather go get those bleach eggs from the store. Yeah. Okay, so all those disease-infested eggs, whatever they're putting in the eggs to make them look all pretty and perfect.
SPEAKER_05Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_03It's like a BBL. Like eggs are like they went through the BBL.
SPEAKER_01Wow, she said a BBL.
SPEAKER_03So like you're eating BBL eggs instead of like actually.
Life Feeling Like A Cell
SPEAKER_01First of all, first first of all, I'm just saying, okay, I know what a BBL is. Honestly, I I I never seen one. Uh-huh. But for I read a, see, I know what they see, I know what the store is giving me. Okay. But that shit that come out the ground, see, it's see, you know something though? Honestly, I never had enough. I had people offer me tomatoes and all types of stuff. I don't go because you know why? I don't trust it.
SPEAKER_03No way.
SPEAKER_01You don't know, bro. First of all, we don't know what's in this wall out here. I know what they shoot it up with. And see, I don't buy them big chicken wings. The big I don't buy them.
SPEAKER_03I don't, yeah.
SPEAKER_01No saying I buy the regular ones.
SPEAKER_03Right.
SPEAKER_01But but at the same time, though, I need to see, and you know what I'm getting. I had a experience, I swear to God, she had a motherfucking chicken coop. You wanna say it back? Oh no.
SPEAKER_03Have you ever been to a chicken coop and like? Yeah, they got one. You picked one? No. See, that's what you need to do. Get the experience in. Nope. Why though?
SPEAKER_01Because I'm stuck in my weight.
SPEAKER_03I'm telling you, a man.
SPEAKER_01Hey, hey, hey.
SPEAKER_03See, I'm telling you.
SPEAKER_01She had, I'm not gonna say name because we don't talk no more, but she, and look, one thing I guess.
SPEAKER_03She had a nasty chicken coop is what you said.
SPEAKER_01No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. She was feral. Yeah, she no, she see, see, see what it is is I'm just me.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01They always offer me some eggs. That's one one time I gave it to my buddy, and we not friends no more, but she always she always listened to my podcast. That's what a guy she does. I ain't got nothing, I ain't got nothing negative to say about it.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01But she knows I would never eat an egg out of chicken. I'm too scared.
SPEAKER_03She knows what she's doing, though. She was trying to offer you fresh eggs for a chicken. That's all she has. So wait. Okay, what that means. That's not pumped up with hormones and bleached and dyed and all this stuff look pictures perfect. First of all.
SPEAKER_01How do we know that it's pumped up? We got what somebody else told us, right? Yeah, what?
SPEAKER_03Because if you think about it, what is the FDA? Oh, see, you're gonna make me go down my conspiracy theory hole, and I don't want to do that.
SPEAKER_01Hey, hey, hey, look. I got people from Philippines, Germany, everywhere. You heard what you said? Conspiracy theory.
SPEAKER_05Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01That won't believe half the stuff people say out of their mouth. They hear from other places, first of all, I don't trust the people in the United States, I'm gonna be honest with you.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_01You know what I'm saying? But also know that they're not gonna they're not gonna like us black folks in real life. They're not gonna give us nothing I'm saying, they're not gonna give us nothing to better us. Real talk. So if anybody reading something something from off of uh off online, how we get it. You know what I'm saying? And it's it's like a lot of uh things you gotta look at. I don't believe that it's they shot up with a BBL sauce. I don't believe that you know what I'm saying, I see some chicken put some BBLs out there. BBL, you gotta be cut and put some shit in there.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01You know what I'm saying? It's a dope.
SPEAKER_03So you don't you think your chicken and your cows are fine? No.
SPEAKER_01You cows too, your salary is all good. Listen, hey, sweet. One thing I noticed when chicken leg got big as hell, I knew something wrong with it. Okay, you know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_03And then you know what the FDA approved of, right? It did what 3D printed meat is approved.
SPEAKER_01See, you know something. I don't get to all that there.
SPEAKER_03Let me show them up.
Culture, Language, And Home
SPEAKER_01See, see, see, as long as you call every time, y'all. See, no, no, no, no, no, no. I like that. See, as long as right, it don't hurt me, it's good to cook. Okay. On everything, it's good to cook. But look, no, but but no, though, but Danny, uh I'm real talk, though. Okay, now you say you got a door, I mean your son is is how old again? So my son is four. Uh-huh. My daughter is five. Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_03And yeah. So, so, so This is their first year of school, I will tell. And this is the first year they've actually like, and I hate to say it, but parents socialize your kids as much as possible. Like, make sure they get that experience to like go out there and meet other kids and get pushed by other kids and all that, because it literally will grow them. I hate to say it like that, but I I coddled mine way too much. And now that they're in the real world, look, you said friendly parent. I'm a very friendly parent.
SPEAKER_01Wow, I respect that.
SPEAKER_03I mean, I'm not gonna lie, please don't let your kid push my kid also at the same time.
SPEAKER_01I'm that person real tall, and I know a lot of females, and I and I tell them, don't be that parent. They are their friends.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Because they'll run over you, and then you're gonna let it go.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So, so right, it's good that your kids are young. Yep. You know what I'm saying? I know a lot of older parents that are friends, they are friends, they're grown kids. You know what I'm saying? And that's not cool. Because, right, they say disrespect and everything. Like, I believe in the Bible.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_01A lot of people don't. I believe in honor your mother and your father. Right. So right, look, your day can be young. I'm I mean long. But at the same time, though, if they're not teaching if they're not teaching their kids that, they're not gonna learn that so they can grow up and say what they want to say.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_01Like it's a difference between black and white. You ain't finna catch no black kid disrespecting mama, cause their mama fucked them up.
SPEAKER_03Oh. My kid be what? Not your face. No, okay, so my son, like, he's very hyperactive. Sometimes, sometimes he can get disrespectful, but I'm trying to have that balance of like not having fear instilled into him.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_03See, I know it's like, oh why you have to be a gentle par- I'm not a gentle parent. I'm not. See, I be yelling, I be cussing, I'll be ooh. Can I talk freely ass sometimes?
SPEAKER_01You know, can I talk freely? Go ahead. Yes, sir. If I'll go do I'm just saying, ain't no disrespect to mama.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You know what I'm saying? Correct. I don't want you to do first of all, if you disrespect her, your mom, you're gonna disrespect me.
SPEAKER_03Well, can I be honest about that?
SPEAKER_01Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_03It ties down into that. So, you know, how I became a single mom was because of like a domestic violence relationship. Okay. So, like, they seen their dad do what they did, or you know, what he did. So, of course, that's I don't know. They they think it's right in their mind. So we're trying to slowly get out of that.
SPEAKER_05Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_03And I hate to like that. I feel like that's way too honest, but it's it's real. Like, I'm being dead ass honest. You know some. I don't say this on air. I think it's psychologically how it works for me.
Dating, Standards, And Read Flags
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna say this on air. Any clown ass nigga that's disrespecting, bruising a woman is a clown and a hoe in real life. I'm not gonna lie. You can hate me, you can try me. I'm not running for no motherfucking body. But at the same time, though, you don't never disrespect a motherfucking woman. How would you feel if somebody had did that to your mama? You know, and then and then you'll be mad and you're ready to fight. You treat your baby mama the same way. No lie.
SPEAKER_03And women also keep your hands to yourself. Okay. Oh, no, no. See, see, see, see me. That also.
SPEAKER_01See, me personally, a woman touch me, I'm calling the police.
SPEAKER_03You got to, no. I ain't lying. You have to. They need to learn.
SPEAKER_01You know something. Keep your hands to yourself. Listen, I went to jail. I spoke. This girl called the police or me, since I was choking up. I was in my whole, I was sleeping my whole sheet house.
unknownOh my god.
SPEAKER_01And my mom is a police man.
SPEAKER_03That's the thing. That's why. Okay, see the the the allegations and the lies. Like, I'm not being a pick me. I don't care what anybody says, but when you lie about that ish just for attention, that shit is diabolical. Lock my rack glass. You need to be locked up instead. And I and I. But I'm not, I'm not saying, like, men are not in the clear for that shit either, you know? But I'm just saying I I've seen a lot more females try to like whatever. I don't I don't even want to sound like a pick me.
SPEAKER_01So so let me ask you Do you have anything you ask me? Because this is a dialogue, and I'm asking you all the questions. So you you won't ask me anything, you know what I'm saying, while we sitting there talking.
SPEAKER_03Okay, back to the single parent.
SPEAKER_01Okay, go ahead.
SPEAKER_03Would you date a single mom?
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah, because no, I yeah, because no, I bapload the kids. And then I can help out.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01Physically, mentally, and emotionally.
SPEAKER_03Okay, you know what I'm saying? So you you don't mind just accepting that role. Oh, why? But you know what it comes with. What does what does it come with to be like a step parent?
SPEAKER_01Can I mature? Okay, it comes with, first of all, it comes with maturity. It comes with respect. It comes with discipline.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_01Plus right at the same time, a man is supposed to have a role to teach and help and provide. Me personally, you know what I'm saying? I like that role, and like I told you earlier, I have a lot of God kids. And one thing I always tell them, I just told you, I want them to be better than me because no, I I grew up without a father. I grew up in the streets. I don't want no kid growing up in the streets. I don't want a kid going gang bang. I want a kid growing up like son of drugs. Any any female I want, I mean, I mean any female, I I I be with, I teach their kids to be better. If they're playing sports, I help them, show them your number one priority is you, but at the same time, keep going to take care of your mama and get her into a better place. You understand what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_01That means physically, mentally, and emotionally.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_01See, that's that's me. But but see, a lot of women, like right now.
SPEAKER_03Single women. Single women or just like single women.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_03With kids. Single with kids.
SPEAKER_01Correct, correct. That's what attracts me most. I'm not gonna lie, I like women, you know, with kids. But at the same time, though, they like people who treat them. They like men that disrespect them. They like men that, you know what I'm saying, that ain't a good fit.
SPEAKER_03I have the button.
SPEAKER_01Go ahead.
SPEAKER_03Go ahead. I'm not one of those women.
SPEAKER_01I'm not saying you are, but I'm saying you're not a dealt with though.
SPEAKER_03So I'm just saying, like, you know, you're you're getting that experience with certain people, but what type of vibe are you attracting to yourself that the same type of woman keeps coming back to you that you don't like? What are you putting out there? Hey. What are you showing them? That you're gonna treat them? No, like I'm I'm not blaming you, but I'm just you know I'm wondering what you're attracting, you know.
SPEAKER_01See, you know something dope. A lot of women want a good man. Okay, but they ain't ready for a good man. Okay. I can show them the world. It's just like I got a sense. I can lead you to the water, but I can make you drink it.
SPEAKER_03Right.
SPEAKER_01You know what I'm saying? I can lead you to, it's like I can lead you to the promised land.
SPEAKER_03Okay, so what do you mean by that though?
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_03Women don't don't want a good man.
SPEAKER_01Because no way, the woman always, it's like a woman is always attracted to what ain't good for them.
SPEAKER_03See, and are you speaking for all women, right?
SPEAKER_01Every woman that I met. Because no one, I've been in, I'm gonna be honest, I've been in one relationship my life. I said I'd never get another one. Okay. I was paying the bills, I was doing me, taking care of the kids, stand up for the kids. Uh, and then I'm in the streets.
SPEAKER_03That sounds like my relationship, except for the streets where and shit, and and then I cut my guys off.
SPEAKER_01And my guys always told me, Don't cut your friends off, because they're gonna be here for you when she leaves.
SPEAKER_05That's a fact.
Homesteading Dreams And Fresh Eggs Debate
SPEAKER_01So, right, so right, when she left, and I was fucked up and sick. I'm talking about I was I was like Shaggy Duke, I was loading a motherfucker. My people was there for me. My godmom was there for me. You know what I'm saying? She told me, hey, hey, I'm I'm not gonna say my real name, but back. Go find you some more and get on, cuz you're better. How's that work? You're a better nigga than that. Her name is Peggy Anderson. I love my godmama to death. You know what I'm saying? Okay. And then I'm out there sagging, I'm talking about I'm like Scooby-Doo.
SPEAKER_03Shout out to you, Peggy, by the way.
SPEAKER_01You know what I'm saying? I don't even drink beer. I'm out drinking cases of beer with Buck.
unknownFor real.
SPEAKER_01I'm open, you know what I'm saying? So, right, and in the same time, it's like, you know what I'm saying? When she told me that, I moved on to a girl, man. She rest in peace. I'm not gonna say her name, but they know who she is, though. But yeah, at the same time, though, and I started saying it. Women do not like nobody who really dreamed with what they're doing.
SPEAKER_03Oh my gosh, what?
SPEAKER_01Man, I'm not saying you, but the woman I dealt with. And and and this is.
SPEAKER_03But see, what are you attracting? That's what I'm asking you. I mean like what what how how come the same woman keeps coming back to you like that?
SPEAKER_01Because you know what? My heart is big.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01So I gotta be hard. And then after that, I have a lot of knowledge. It started off with me spitting this ism to them, and then it's like they gotta adapt it to it, and then they see something because I feel like I'm not the best, but I'm not the worst, but at the same time, though, I can lead you. Okay. So I like so like once I got you out of darkness and now pull you back to the light, you want to run back to the darkness again and see that what women are attracted to. You feel what I'm saying? A lot of women don't want no good dude in real life.
SPEAKER_03Oh. Can I disagree with that again? You can. And I mean, I don't have no problem with you disagreeing, but Okay, so like That's one fact. All right. Can we talk about like, do you date older women? Do you date younger women? Hey, what's the age range?
SPEAKER_01Wow, that's old.
SPEAKER_03Is that bad?
SPEAKER_01No, I just don't over I say be honest with you, I shouldn't say this shit, but 25. You know what I'm saying? I like something because I don't want nobody my age because no, I want somebody to bring bring that different energy to the table. That different energy to the table. Now see, I'm old school, you know what I'm saying? I like to travel, you know what I'm saying? I like to have fun. And then I like to the show things, you know, it's cause because I done been through a lot of MLI time. Yeah. I swear to God, my mom on that. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Live your life, basically.
SPEAKER_01I mean, like, I'm an OG, but at the same time, though, it's like the things I want to show. So, so right, it's like, I mean, like, the things I attract, I attract, I try to attract the queen. You know what I'm saying? I'm a king.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I swear to God, I have to.
SPEAKER_03So you no, I I'm not disagreeing with that. Keep in mind, this is our first time meeting.
SPEAKER_01And not the last, neither.
SPEAKER_03And I think you're very chilly, you get a good vibe to you. Thank you. So, my question is like, okay, this is the reason why I'm asking. Okay. I attract the same guy that I don't want.
SPEAKER_01But But see, hold on, no, no, no, no, no. And look, let me cut you off. You say you attract the same guy that you don't want.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it's my energy that I bring out.
SPEAKER_01But see, what makes you go to him?
SPEAKER_03It's what I'm looking for, it seems like. Right? Okay, you're right. You're right. Okay, but that's what I'm saying, also. Like, you don't think it's you guys are being like, you know, also brainwashed a little bit to think that this woman's for you? Like, what are the signs you know she's a bad woman? Like, how, what are the strikes? What does it take? You don't even have to go to detail, like, you know.
SPEAKER_01First of all, I got she knows some do I'm pretty um see I'm I'm gonna be honest with you. Me, I might not be the best on this work, but I have standards.
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_01And then at the same time, I look for a certain type of woman.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01Now I can be.
SPEAKER_03What type of woman is that?
SPEAKER_01I mean, she's pretty smart. I mean, matter of fact, they be dumb than a dumb to the motherfucker. I ain't gonna lie. A lot of boogie here be dumb. It's just like they take what I'm giving them and then they try to use it against me.
SPEAKER_03And they try to put it down, flip it in, reverse it like Miss Elliott type shit. I'm just saying.
SPEAKER_01I gotta say, though. I'm bap. I don't give a fuck. You know what I'm saying? Real talk.
SPEAKER_03I know, because you you tried me twice and we just met.
SPEAKER_01Right. So, so, so, so, so, so, so at the same time, though, it's like, you know what I'm saying? Like, I mean, I'm attracted to like a person that I feel like I can say the world. In real life, I feel like I say the world, knowing I can't. Right. I gotta learn how to let motherfuckers die and drown. Yeah. That's one thing that's one thing I cannot. I said right there. Die and drown. Yeah, so so right. So it's like I done had motherfuckers that that I know ain't worth my time. Right. But I still try to save them. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03See, that's the thing. But at the same time, like, why should I this is how I feel about it. Why should I shrink my heart because you keep doing me dirty? Because it makes me feel less of myself though at the same time.
SPEAKER_01Because you know why?
SPEAKER_03Why?
SPEAKER_01It's not in you to let a motherfucker go like that. It's not. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. It's just like me. I know a motherfucker ain't worth my time. Right. I know the type of person I am. Yes. I know my character.
SPEAKER_03But you're Captain Saber Horn. I'm a Mrs. Fixer nigga.
SPEAKER_00Like I can do it.
SPEAKER_01When you say it like that, though, I'm a Captain Saber Home.
SPEAKER_03So I look trying to shoot shots now? I'm just kidding.
SPEAKER_00Wow. She ain't got it out. She should have shot. I'm a Captain Saber. Yeah, she's I didn't mean to say it.
SPEAKER_01Hey, I ain't gonna lie, I should say to quite a few of them. I'm not gonna say the name, but you motherfucker been on drown. I should put on both like jackets.
SPEAKER_03Hey, I wanna I wanna shout out to my dude. You hear me? But I'm sadly still friends with both of them, so it doesn't matter.
SPEAKER_01I mean, ain't no one being friends though, but at the same time, ain't no wrong being friends with them, but at the same time you need boundaries.
SPEAKER_03That's true. And I set mine, that is for sure. I set mine. I left. I packed my shit up and went that night. He started. I mean, there was an argument conspiring. Right. And I just already had my car back.
SPEAKER_01So I just See me, I'm diabolical. With the kids. See me, I'm diabolical. I let mother think everything all good. All no. I'm sitting here plotting, like, I'm I'm gonna get the fuck on. Oh gosh. So right, like when you ask it to me, that shit dead.
SPEAKER_02But that's the best thing to do, because it saves your peace also. Like nobody wants to argue all day, especially after you work in and taking care of everything.
SPEAKER_01First of all, see in my situation, I'm I'm gonna be honest with you. If I tell you how I feel, you can respond. Right. I'm not gonna respond back. And if I don't respond back, that means it's a reaction. Yeah, I mean, so I don't get a reaction.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01And that's how I feel. So, right, if I feel like that, that means I'm gone.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And then it'd be on me to keep pushing away.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01You know what I'm saying? I'm not with none of that. Especially if we're trying to be slick.
SPEAKER_03You feel like it's I'm just gonna be honest. Do you feel like it's hard to date out here? Because like I feel like it's hard as fuck to be out here.
SPEAKER_01I won't say it's hard to date. It's the people. And then I don't blame the next person. No, see, see, see. Here's my thing. I don't blame this practice. I gotta blame myself. Why? You know what I'm saying? Because if I see red flags, why keep driving?
SPEAKER_03True.
SPEAKER_01You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_03You're gonna stop at the stop lane sometime. Exactly. Take a right or a left somewhere.
SPEAKER_01And I just said it. I be trying to save every motherfucking body. Why? I don't know. A lot of people.
SPEAKER_03You're a Sag too. You're a Sagittarius. I'm a Scorpio. Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_01No, don't do that. I'm sorry. I'm a Scorpio.
SPEAKER_03It was some S.
Boundaries After Domestic Violence
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, Scorpio. I'm a Scorpio. I'm a Scott. And then I stand on my side. No, read I said it because I'm still on my side. Hey, look, I stand on my side, but at the same time, though, it's just like I be real and not being authentic. Yeah. And a lot of people that like take that shit for granted because they try to be slick. But see, I'm a firm believer in karma. I'm off a guy on me.
SPEAKER_02That's what I say.
SPEAKER_01A lot of us got on me, and then it hurts them in the long run. Because if I drive on you and if I come at you and if I'm being authentic with you, and then you've been authentic in the beginning, then in the middle part, you sit there and pull the stunt. That means that you were never real. Right. You know what I'm saying? One thing about me, can nobody say nothing else about me? Yeah, I'm real. You know what I'm saying? If you did something dirty, that's on you.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. And it goes back to you. Yeah. I totally believe in karma like that. I'm not gonna lie. It's exactly how I think the world works. Even though I get mad, I get mad as fuck. I want to bite a bitch sometimes. Like I can't stand it.
SPEAKER_01But then funny to me, people call me weird because I keep it real. And I'll be like, when did the real become weird? Yeah. Because I don't accept the manipulation, I don't accept the lies.
SPEAKER_03That's the thing, especially here. Right. Like, where's the real love? Genuine friendship, genuine anything, decorum. See, listen. Some respect. See, listen. People get mad over a certain ma'am.
SPEAKER_01It's a difference between where you're from and where you're at. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? Because at the same time, though, you might not see fake love okay now where you're from. If it's like if you fuck with somebody, you fuck with them, and then look, you see that same type of respect. Ain't no faking this in it. While here, though, once something don't go somebody's way, that fake shit come out.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You know what I'm saying? That's why, hey, I done see and shit, I done seen it, and then I done been through it. But at the same time, though, I back off from it. You feel what I'm saying? So if you've been fake with me, you've been fake the whole time.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_01I done heard plenty of stories about me, and I ain't did nothing no motherfucking body. I've been real to everybody.
SPEAKER_03Let them keep making their little book about you, though.
SPEAKER_01Huh?
SPEAKER_03Let them keep making your little book about you.
SPEAKER_01And then like I told my buddy, I said, you know something.
SPEAKER_02You'd be like, dang, I did that? I didn't even know.
SPEAKER_01I'm like, I like that. You're dreaming of me, obviously. I like y'all talking about me. They be making little TikToks about me on the side. Okay, I know it's about me. It's cool. Tag me next time, please. At least tag me so I get some credentials. Hey, I be laughing, like, alright, you know what I'm saying? But a lot of people who like from land be like, man, gee, I'm like, man, I can't believe them off making TikToks about me.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Well, I mean, nigga, first of all, evidently you're doing something right if they saying something negative.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Because if you it's like if you're doing something wrong, they'll run from you.
SPEAKER_05True.
SPEAKER_01You know what I'm saying? They won't speak about you.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So it's just like I don't honestly.
SPEAKER_03They might speak about you though, stuff. They might speak about you still. I mean, I don't honestly. But the less important you are at the job, the less people care about you.
SPEAKER_01Honestly, I don't care, you know what I'm saying? Cause I didn't do me, and I've been on as you know, I've been on the world.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You know what I'm saying? So so That's how you have to be. Yeah, so I don't care nobody. I don't care what uh uh Hui Louie or Dewey say, Whoop de doo. Whoop the motherfucking do in real life. I'm gonna be me, back. And then if y'all don't like it, so motherfucking what? Yeah, he said, suck it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. No, she right, suck it.
Step Parenting, Roles, And Support
SPEAKER_01So, so so yeah, I just mean in a nutshell. I mean, I'm from Chicago, I'm from the project, I'm from the ickes, I'm from the low end. And wherever you see me, I'll rep on my motherfucking land. And and and then I can't change that. But I don't do fake shit. So if you see me bagging off and I ain't acting like I was at first, that's the reason why. I'm I'm not gonna never sugarcoat nothing. And I'm a Scorpio, so I'll just fall the fuck back. You hit me later on, like, what happens this period? I seen how you really was. That's all.
SPEAKER_03That hurts me when people actually show me who they really are, though. I mean Especially after you invested time. It's like, damn, like really.
SPEAKER_01But see, you know something? I blame, see, like I told you, I blame myself for the shit that goes on because no, I do homework. And homework don't last no month or two. Homework lasts at least a year better.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You know what I'm saying? You get it. You gotta listen to people's dogs. That's what I say. And another thing, you can't put your guards down. A lot of people put their guards down. Why? I don't know. You know what I'm saying? I did it before. I'm not perfect. And and then like I sit here sad one day, like, man, oh, this motherfucker. I said, I said, back, listen. You know better than the muffin buddy out here. You don't do the type of shit you do back in Chicago, so why the fuck are you doing it here? I'm thinking they different. No, they learn from me and the people they see on TV.
SPEAKER_03Damn.
SPEAKER_01You feel what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_03That's the thing though. Like, sis, okay, we can we can be real when social media is brainwashing the fuck out of everybody at this point.
SPEAKER_01Right? It's really honestly, honestly, I don't blame social media because at the same time, though, it starts from home.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01It's just like I agree with that. So right, it's just like a lot of it's it's like a lot of people want to be something that they're not.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_01It don't come for social media, it comes from what you want to be and see. That's why I be deaf on the kids. See, a lot of people, I'm gonna say all you just females right now come pissed off. So females, they want to proceed to be something that they're not. And then they don't care about their damn kids. So at the same time, though, you ain't teaching your kids how to be a proper, a proper person.
SPEAKER_05Right.
SPEAKER_01That's why we know that it's a lot of motherhood school, the school students. Have you ever seen a black person do that?
SPEAKER_03Oh wow. That's a touchy subject. No, I ain't. No, I haven't! Exactly. And I hate to be like that. I also like I don't want to go into detail. The thing is, like, I feel like there's always an agenda. What you see on the news is what they want you to see.
SPEAKER_01Not all news, though. You're right. Okay. First of all, let me ask you a question. Do you think if it's a black individual out there shooting up school, you think they won't report it? Oh, they're gonna report that? Exactly. It's gonna be on all news stations. All news stations. That's why I say though. And then I just like, and and I, and a lot of people get mad at me, you know, for the way I think and see things. I feel like they're not gonna put nothing out there that's good for blacks. So when you find something online that the white people control, it don't make no sense to me.
SPEAKER_03Well, it's just like how I feel about like slavery. Like, that's all we know about black history. We were more than that. We thought more than that. That's what they taught in schools, and now they're trying to wipe that away.
SPEAKER_01But see, they trying to, but see, one thing about slavery was real, it's real.
SPEAKER_03Also, and it's still going on today.
SPEAKER_01Oh, it is. And also, right, we did a lot of things. You feel what I'm saying? I'm sorry. Oh, right here.
SPEAKER_03Oh, my bad.
SPEAKER_01So, right, it's like slavery, that's something real. We had a a whole town full of black businesses. The white folk came in, tore it up. You know what I'm saying? So, so I respect all that, but at the same time, though, I'm gonna tell you like this here. If the black folks are doing anything good for our business-wise and things like that, they're not gonna sit there and show that because no, they're teaching us how to how to progress. If you notice, we the only race that hasn't got reparation from the U.S.
SPEAKER_03And I know that.
SPEAKER_01For real.
SPEAKER_03Just like, okay, oh gosh. We're we're really about to get into it.
SPEAKER_01I mean, I mean, bad talk is about everything. I just said that. We don't hold nothing back.
Why We Choose The Wrong People
SPEAKER_03Okay, so yes, we are the only race that did not get reparations. We're also the only race that tried to rebuild from things. Oh no, I shouldn't say the only race, no. But actually, no, I'm gonna say the only race. We tried to rebuild from things and they tried to wipe us out. Black Wall Street.
SPEAKER_01That's what I was talking about. Black Wall Street, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Tuskegee experiment.
SPEAKER_01Tuskegee. Things like the admin.
SPEAKER_03You know, yes, and injected them with syphilis and things like that. Oh, I didn't know. I believe it was syphilis, if I'm not mistaken. I probably got it mixed up. I be I be researching all this because I wasn't taught this in school. Like, tell me all the bullshit that happened. Like, I want to know what really actually happened. I didn't know you guys would, oh, what? I'm about to get into it and I don't want to.
SPEAKER_01Okay, well, that'd be on our next show then, correct? But at the same time, though, you know, it's just like it's like a lot of people, it's like I don't like to debate a R because not if I say things that I believe, it'll contradict what they believe.
SPEAKER_03Well, this is the thing, the thing. People should be able to listen to conversation from both sides and be open to it. It shouldn't be an argument, it shouldn't be, oh, you don't accept what I have to say. Well, now you're wrong. No, it doesn't have to be like that. And even though I get mad about the same situation, I can't because you grew up in a whole different position than I did, if you think about it.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_03So you're taking things for granted. You didn't see from my point of view, you didn't see, you didn't walk a mile in my shoes. You don't know what the fuck I'm doing on this other side. Exactly. We're not the same type of people, and we didn't go the same experiences.
SPEAKER_00True.
SPEAKER_03You know, and I that's the only thing I'm gonna say. Like, I've I've seen people, you know, where it was okay, so I grew up in a school that I was the minority. I'm pretty sure it was me, my brother, and maybe three other black kids in the whole entire school. Like, we barely had anything else. You know, I'm just saying, like, I don't I also don't think they understand that experience because they didn't walk through our shoes. So it's like, and I'm not trying to give anybody the benefit of the doubt. There's some people that are just blatantly racist, you know. I'm saying, from both sides. That's true. Not just from black and white, but I mean like every race. Some some people are just overboard with it.
SPEAKER_01So let me ask you a question. Do you know all our nationalities that be that's up in the um US?
SPEAKER_03I don't. I know it's a whole mix of stuff, because it should be.
SPEAKER_01Everybody have uh uh uh uh like African American, Asian American, Mexican American. Everybody got a that behind their name beside the Caucasian. And we all came over here together.
SPEAKER_02Right. Okay.
SPEAKER_01You feel what I'm saying? So so so right, I I look at everything, you know, you know, like with a spec. You know, and then it ain't what they say is how they say it, and then they always talking about it it ain't what they teach. See, no matter what they teach, you're gonna learn a lot.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Because what was everybody else say? You can do it on your own. I can get the politics.
SPEAKER_03Knowledge is getting kept from us because the more powerful, and I'm not just saying for black people, but us as America, yeah, the less knowledge we have, the less we have, but see, the less power we have to fight back.
SPEAKER_01But see, but see, you know something though? People pick the finger, see, people point the finger, but they don't point at their self. Okay. We had a chance to put that in power. Okay. We choose not to. We choose play the we choose exactly what we want instead of like what don't we need.
SPEAKER_03So when you say people point at them or they don't point their finger at themselves. Exactly. Right, okay. So do you mean like we we got the knowledge of it and it was broadcasted and all that?
SPEAKER_01Let's say like you said, like uh, let's say black, I don't do politics.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01Okay, now we hear something that we like, they go forward. Right. But certain, but it's like certain sides of the people are only out for one race.
SPEAKER_06Right.
SPEAKER_01And then that's the and then and then and then that's a higher up. Don't buy look out for us. But once somebody says something and it don't happen, you won't blame the people who who are not in power. That's not right. You had a chance to make that happen, but you ran off of no tax on tips. You ran on, oh, okay, now we're gonna lower your taxes.
SPEAKER_05Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_01Okay, I'm saying we're gonna run on lowering only thing, the only thing that fell down is gas.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I just paid$30 for three packs of smoked meat. When that I'm I'm I mean like smoked turkey.
SPEAKER_03Even fruit is very expensive as hell.
SPEAKER_01So right, don't blame people, like don't blame people for your decision because you heard something that you'd like to hear.
SPEAKER_03Right. Because a lot of stuff that's being promised is not actually coming to the forefront.
unknownExactly.
Authenticity, Karma, And Fake Love
SPEAKER_03You feel what I'm saying? You know what? I'm just telling you right now, we could go into a whole nother that'd be the next episode. I'm telling you. Because I got a lot to say about that. Hey, hey, I'm the and I'm the conspiracy theorist of the family. I'm the black sheep. Yes, it's me. Hi, hello.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_03I had my bad vote, I had my say in stuff, but now that I research even more stuff, I'm like, no. Hell fucking.
SPEAKER_01You know what makes me mad though? And then, and then, and then I'll be a realist. People, and I I said it earlier, people only like what they go off for. Motherfucker doing this, motherfucker doing that.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01But see, you gotta think not for yourself, you gotta think for everybody else. Because no way, once you, it's like, okay, I'm gonna use uh uh uh uh uh uh algebra, whatever it's called, that's more, I mean about the fraction. It's one out of a thousand. You might get what you want because right, look, you doing the same thing that the uh higher up is doing. But that 999 ain't doing what you're doing. You know what I'm saying? So right, it's gonna want to hurt you in the long run because right, whatever, right, look, they gotta pay, it's gonna come out your pocket. Because now they're gonna because the next time around, they're not gonna charge them. They're gonna charge you. So, right, so right, instead of being in the beginning, you know what I'm saying, you're not able to strive and struggle, because I cause I brought up on in the streets. We strive and struggle for everything. Don't none come easy. If you want something easy, it don't last long. Right. A lot of people want things easy. You think, honestly, that's gonna last long?
SPEAKER_03I'm not gonna lie, you're right about that.
SPEAKER_01Because nobody, it's gonna hurt everybody else in the long run, and that's they're gonna feel sorry for the you know, for the multitude.
SPEAKER_03But you gotta think, like they're making things easier for everybody. So that's why we're getting lazier and lazier. We the government? Where whatever products that they're putting out? I mean, you even have a robot that can mop and sweep your floor and vacuum it and do all this stuff. What? You know who? It ain't us, it ain't me. The 1%, that's what I meant.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. So my question is what's more important? A robot that can rob your motherfucking floors or or even keep you bath and food.
SPEAKER_03But you gotta think about it. Like, there's people that will literally buy the decor on the outside, and they're not actually whole in the inside. They make everything look all shiny on the outside, but it's they're really fucked up.
SPEAKER_01So, so, so, so like if I go to somebody's house and and the building is immaculate. So you go inside. Yeah, go inside.
SPEAKER_03And you look in there, and there's rats, and there's fucking holes in the wall. Oh, I'm not gonna go in. And they're okay.
SPEAKER_01I'm feeling it.
SPEAKER_03But the building looks immaculate on the end inside. I mean outside. So you were intrigued to go in, right?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and then and then once I see it that's going on, that showed me the type of person you is. You want something for show instead of some instead of something that's real. Right. You know what I'm saying? I ain't that's like everything that's glitter is gold.
SPEAKER_03Exactly. And the thing is, I hate that people always are like, oh, that's just a saying. Your parents told you. No, they were actually spinning some game. I'm not gonna lie. Like, everything that glitters is not gold, is absolutely gold.
SPEAKER_01Like, what and then, you know the funny part about it?
SPEAKER_03You are what you eat.
SPEAKER_01That's another fucking one. A lot of people don't pay attention to that. You know what I'm saying? Like, I mean, like, and I'm gonna say my, but the people after me, they wanna prove things like to their kids. Right. And knowing they can't stand it. My kids know me. I mean, I can give you what I can I would give you what I can I would give you what I can afford. You know what I'm saying? I mean, I mean, when they okay now when they come okay now, when they cut to buy a drill, it was so easy. Cause they found out them ways of getting them. They wanna rob a motherfucker, they wanna be they trying to get into the stock market and then it's hard. You know what I'm saying? I mean, they let you get two or three hundred, I guarantee you won't be no more for a millionaire. Because nobody could nobody hold us down.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I know people that work 30 years and they got a hundred thousand put up.
SPEAKER_03I'm telling you.
SPEAKER_01You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_03The saddest thing is like the retirement plan nowadays, like Exactly. I there's a lot of people that are that are not gonna retire. You know? There's no possible way with how everything's going right now. Yeah, it's not gonna happen. Um I hate to say it like that too. But you know, I uh no, I shouldn't say it like that. If we make a change, it'll happen. But okay, you know, I don't want to be negative.
SPEAKER_01No, see, you know something. Hey, look, you're on a podcast, right? You gotta be real, ain't nothing. Right, it's real, you know. I mean, I mean, you don't want me to.
SPEAKER_03But at the same time, I don't want to speak that negativity on anything, you know.
SPEAKER_01It's already here.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. But we can fix that though. How? Okay. So there's so many different plans on how to like evade things. But the thing is, we have to have a group. We have to have unite uh okay, unity. I'm sorry. I almost said united something, but all right, unity. That's what we need, and it will change a lot of things. That's the thing.
SPEAKER_01Like you know unity go a long way.
SPEAKER_03Yes, between different that's the thing, though. Like people separate us, but see, nothing. They separate us.
SPEAKER_01No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I don't blame nobody for separating? For separating, I blame myself because right, I should have the knowledge to to do better. But at the same time, though, you gotta blame people who are have a lot of hatred and jealousy.
SPEAKER_03So what do you mean by have the knowledge that you have?
SPEAKER_01Okay, simply like me and you doing a project, and then you're doing better than me.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01Well, I'm gonna say me, but a lot of people, well, I'm feeling some a lot of people, there I gotta put it, a lot of people feel some type of way. You feel what I'm saying? Okay. So right, it's just like I ain't getting same thing what I'm like she getting. You know, and then I'm I'm being real. You know what I'm saying? Like like like like on this podcast here, I don't sit here and worry about uh uh uh um like the cut. Nah, because I want everybody to be on the same level I am. Because no, I if they are, I can work on a backstabbing.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01But see, if a person ain't on the same level as you, they're gonna feel some type of way.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You feel what I'm saying? Like that's the thing.
Social Media, Image, And Value
SPEAKER_03That's insecurity in yourself. Exactly. When I get upset with stuff like that, but you know, a lot of people are insecure because of I feel like it's all a system.
SPEAKER_01And then that's that's my problem. And then that's about the self again. You feel me? I just said that. That's about the self. Like, so why would I even feel some type of way? I mean, like, that one like doing business with nobody. You know what I'm saying? If I do something, it's gonna be on my terms and that to that. If I want to look, and then if I want to put out a hand, I will. And then I'm being authentic. It's on you to see how that hand is being grabbed. But whatever I do, it's on me. But once I see you doing some shady shit, it's on me to fall back. So that's why I go back to self. Ugh, I tell you. What?
SPEAKER_03I I don't know. It's just life in general. How everything is.
SPEAKER_01You know something? I'm gonna be honest with you. You know, you know, you know, like when it comes to life, life is chess, not checkers.
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_01You know what I'm saying? A lot of people think you're supposed to go back and forth, make move. No. Life is a modeling strategy.
SPEAKER_03And you have to be responsible to not react. That's what I call it. R2 RTR.
SPEAKER_01Oh, hey, all actions don't deserve all actions don't deserve a reaction. Yes. You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_03I'm telling you, especially as an adult now, I'm like, damn. Like, if I didn't respond right away out of my emotion, that's another big thing. Like having too much emotion can fuck some shit up. You know? Like, huh?
SPEAKER_01I've been in that time multiple times. So, so so my question, you know, see, we we might do a lot of episodes, you know that. Okay. I'm here for it. So, so so so you say you're not looking right. Nope. Why?
SPEAKER_03Okay, well, I don't feel like I have myself together.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_03Okay, so I just got back into counseling, and you know, I need to heal because I don't the next relationship I'm I'm gonna be in, gonna be my last. Like why? I I don't wanna look for any other man. I wanna tell like I'm saying it as like he's gonna be my husband, we're gonna be till death threw us part, type shit. Like, it's no joke. Like, I wanna be married, and I mean, we don't even have to marry. Just as long as I know you got me and I got you, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_00I feel you, I feel that.
SPEAKER_03I feel that we don't have to have the paperwork in in hand. Fuck that shit.
SPEAKER_01I feel that.
SPEAKER_03You know, but I want to make sure that we got each other, and I want to make sure it's for real, for real. Like, I will not be in another relationship. I've been in two relationships my whole life. You said you've been in one, right?
SPEAKER_01Exactly. I'm scared. Yes. I'm scared.
SPEAKER_03So why would I not want my last relationship to be my absolute last?
SPEAKER_01True. I feel you, though. I feel you, I feel that. I feel that though.
SPEAKER_03It's not like I don't got urges or nothing, right? You know.
SPEAKER_00Right. But okay, what urges you got?
SPEAKER_03No, no, I I I got the urge to sing.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I seen that. I seen that. I seen that. When I was doing silly though, I mean, I mean, like, I mean, I feel on that though. And it's kind of hard, but it's on what you make of it and do with it, you know what I'm saying? And in the same time, though, you know, I mean like, damn.
SPEAKER_03But you said you were scared.
SPEAKER_01So you know I was nervous because I never met you before and then and then about me? Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Oh, I mean like in dating, too, also. After you tell me this.
SPEAKER_01Man, listen, I'm gonna be honest with you. I feel like a motherfucking woman ain't ready for me because no, I keep everything real. I ain't got nothing to hide. You know what I'm saying? That's why you got this podcast. Yeah, you know what I'm saying? It's just like keep in mind, Mr.
SPEAKER_03Mr. Bab Talk did fry me two times when we met.
SPEAKER_01No, I ain't fry. I just kept it real. You know what I'm saying? Like, for real, for real. I mean, like, a lot of women, they, I'm gonna say it again. A lot of women, they they want this, but go for the out. It's like they go for the opposite. You got a red flag, and then and then look, you got a green flag. Right. A lot of women go for the red flag.
SPEAKER_03You know why?
SPEAKER_01Why?
SPEAKER_03I just feel like nobody thinks shit is real here. I mean, I mean, everybody's also fake. When you fake and you have that insecurity in you, that's why you are going for the fake flag.
SPEAKER_01You you keep saying here, I'm talking about worldwide.
SPEAKER_03Well, I and that's worldwide.
SPEAKER_01I know a lot of dead ass. That's like I know a lot of females that they talk that talk, but but like, it's just like they talk that talk, but like when a person's still on Instagram showing their booty, showing their coochie, shaking their ass. I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, not even that. It's just a mind frame.
SPEAKER_03But I want a husband. I'm just kidding. No, I didn't mean it like that.
SPEAKER_01No, no, no, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_03They say I'm just not I I've never been one of those women.
SPEAKER_01See, a lot of women say that.
SPEAKER_03I be like, damn, I should be wiped up by now, but go ahead, get Keisha with the fat booty and who keep showing her Gucci on Instagram.
History, Race, And What Gets Taught
SPEAKER_01See, see, you personally, I look at their mind frame. If they mind, okay, now it's just like I met somebody, I met somebody before, and we was online. And when we're like we had got no like further uh talking and communicating, I started seeing different. See what it is, is you going off what you see with me, and then you won't work, and then look, you won't, what have I got? You say I'm here, I mean, I'm from Chicago, I got a swag.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01I'm not gonna come outside. Now you you can see me money through Thursday, and my work clothes, I'm ass is no haircut, no nothing. But like, whenever, but like, whenever you see me creased up and drew on shot, your eyes get built. Like, oh, that's yeah, that's me in real life. It just Oh, he got money. So, so right, exactly. You know what I'm saying? So, right, that's what you see. So, so so right, when you do the things and you ask, and I'm being there for you, and I ask for this certain type of thing, and then you fall back. That showed me who you is. That's all so so I fall back. So, but see, a lot of people.
SPEAKER_03I've never been attracted to a man that shows money on social media. And and then and then see all you're showing me is you want to get robbed and you want her place shot up so you can get your no, I'm just kidding.
SPEAKER_01You said robbed?
SPEAKER_03Yes, man.
SPEAKER_01Why are you showing your money on social media?
SPEAKER_03See, please act poor, please act like a bum. That's what I want.
SPEAKER_01See, but see, see, me personally, far again, robbed. If a mother tried me, I'd be back in jail again. And I and I did 90,000 bits.
SPEAKER_03But we're not gonna do that.
SPEAKER_01She you come here, you will, I will.
SPEAKER_03I do understand that though. I've been loving way too hard in this mic. I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_01It's cool though, but but see, no, though, I met a lot of females who are they want to manipulate. Yeah, you know what I'm saying? And then it's just like, like I said, I got a big heart. So I wanna see everybody doing good, no matter what you is. You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_03I'm telling you, I'm not gonna lie, I'm grateful that I had my second relationship. I don't care the what the fuck I went through, because I it opened my eyes. That's the thing. Like, I'm like, damn, I already know you're being a fake ass individual. Like, I don't like that. Oh, it doesn't matter what it is, it it takes something so small for me to cut you off. Right. You know what I'm saying? Like, I I don't want to see a booger in your nose. We're done. Wow, I mean, I gotta find you. I just kidding. They come sometimes. No, no, I'm playing.
SPEAKER_01But no, no.
SPEAKER_03I mean, like all serious in all seriousness, no, you you can't no. I I it takes something so small to I have a s a small fuse. Cause I'm looking for I'm looking for a husband. No, perfection, hell no, because we're not perfect.
SPEAKER_01No, no, no. But I want a husband. No, okay, but see, ain't nobody perfect, first of all. That's not let me finish. A person can have something that knows and still be that right person for you. Right. But see, you didn't say that you don't want to see that. It's not like what you want to see. Oh, I'll cause because I was gonna say it's how a person treats you.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, no, no, for sure. You know what I'm saying? What I'm saying basically is like, okay, like if I if you wouldn't expect that from me, I'm expecting the same for you. Right. It's it's not a double standard to all this shit. Like, we are one. So I won't do what you don't want me to do. And I mean, like, we can talk about it. I'm not looking for perfection. Because nobody's perfect, but don't be liking another bitch's pick on Instagram or something like that. You know what I'm saying? And we supposed to be together. Yes, I'm that sensitive.
SPEAKER_00Wow, okay, I feel like is that bad?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, you know what I'm saying? I don't want my I don't know why you know what? I will delete all my social media for another man to not.
SPEAKER_01Is that bad? Yeah, it is.
SPEAKER_03Oh my gosh. Is that that's insecure? I get it. But at the same time, like no why I don't want another bitch thinking that she can have you, basically. Is what I mean.
SPEAKER_01But see, that's her problem. It's on him to show you. That's what I'm saying. So, right, because I okay, say like me, you uh up in a relationship. I will never ask you to stop being friends. I'll never stop liking I'll never stop doing anything. If you choose to delete that, that's on you. Cause I don't want you to tell me to delete my people. Right. Because no, you might be, you might leave me two months away. And then I'm starting to zero.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And then I say go for you. See, it go from loyalty and trust. If you don't trust, you don't have anything.
SPEAKER_03Okay, so alright. You're very right. Absolutely. What I mean basically is like I wouldn't want my man to make another female feel comfortable.
SPEAKER_01How to make them feel comfortable.
SPEAKER_03You don't have to leave your social media, you don't have to talk to her and stuff like that. But if she has her booty cheeks out in a picture, you won't like it.
SPEAKER_00Wow.
SPEAKER_03Why are you liking that pic? Okay, you can like it's okay. She's if it's a family picture, but if she's showing her ass and it's a little Oh, you mean you? I wouldn't do that. If I see if you don't, okay, I'm listening.
SPEAKER_01I'm listening. If me you okay, now doing a podcast. And if a female, no, I'm not telling it back. If a female doing a podcast and I like it, it is that a problem? No. So where then absolutely not. So what then so whether you somewhat do?
SPEAKER_03If she's half naked, that's a problem. Like if you if you liking her being in a little risque, listen. Is that bad? See, why though?
SPEAKER_01Because no why? Oh, because you No, no, no, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_02Do you support strip clubs? Yes. Damn.
SPEAKER_01Because no why?
SPEAKER_02I can't even hate on you because let them bitches get their mother.
unknownExactly.
SPEAKER_03Exactly. Everybody gotta eat. But at the same time, like, damn, like look. Even married, it's fine.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, because no way.
SPEAKER_03Okay, so what it can your wife do the same thing though?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but see, you know something though? I'm not gonna knock her. As long as you come home at a decent hour.
SPEAKER_03Okay, what hour is that?
SPEAKER_01Two.
SPEAKER_03Alright, so what time are you gonna be home?
SPEAKER_01Two.
SPEAKER_03Alright.
SPEAKER_01No say I'm not, first of all, get your money. Okay. I can't knock that. If a person out there stripping, gonna get that money.
SPEAKER_03So you date a stripper?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. You would? Yeah. Damn. Yeah. First of all, ain't no hate in my blood.
Power, Policy, And Personal Responsibility
SPEAKER_03That's that's secure. No, but I'm saying that's security. Yeah. And I'm not saying it because I'm like, you know, I feel awful. Like, people are gonna think of me awfully at this thing, but I have logic to my answers. I'm just saying. In my mind, I have logic to my answers.
SPEAKER_01I understand how women feel, but at the same time, everybody ain't got a nine to five.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And then plus no saying As you shouldn't, anyways.
SPEAKER_03This life is for you to be free and happy as fuck.
SPEAKER_01Who told you that?
SPEAKER_03What? Who told you that? Okay, hell on earth exists, but uh at the same time, you can make your life how you want to make it.
SPEAKER_01So how is it supposed to be free? No food? Okay, no. No money.
SPEAKER_03The thing is, do people hunt? Yeah. So is that not free food? Yeah. Yeah, maybe they have to get a gun license, but how many people are running around here with no license, still hunting?
SPEAKER_01A lot. No, but see, you ask my question. How are you gonna pay your rent?
SPEAKER_03Okay, that's the thing. You could build your own stuff, though. If you live off grid, you don't need to pay rent. You don't need to pay electric bills, none of that.
SPEAKER_01Living off grid like what?
SPEAKER_03What what's his name? Tom is it Thomas Jefferson? Girl, you're gonna buy 400 years. Whoever invented electricity, you know electricity is available for all of us.
SPEAKER_01No, it ain't.
SPEAKER_03And it's easy to make.
SPEAKER_01No, it ain't.
SPEAKER_03Yes, it is.
SPEAKER_01It's hard to control. See, see, see, see. See, the difference between 9,000 years ago and now it is called speed. Yes. It's easy, it's like it's easy to make electricity. I guess you do the the the the kite and all other stuff, but at the same time, though, you got high speed stuff. How can you keep up?
SPEAKER_03I mean, they're gonna find you regardless. See, look at me, no, no, no, no, no. Okay, what do you mean high speed stuff? Because no. Because if you're living off grid, you don't care about high speeds uh high speed stuff. Why wouldn't you? Why would you? Because you're off-grid.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so you ain't got no phone, and then your phone goes to Wi-Fi.
SPEAKER_03You don't need a phone. If you're living off grid, you have everything that you have. You have your own land, you have your own crops, vegetables, you have your own horses, chickens, cows.
SPEAKER_01Hold on. Okay, you off the grid. You're in the boondocks.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So are you saying for get everybody else that the right matters to you? No.
SPEAKER_03I'm not saying that.
SPEAKER_01Yes, you is.
SPEAKER_03I mean, you'll still be no, I mean, being off-grid, you wouldn't have that connection, anyways.
SPEAKER_01Why not?
SPEAKER_03That's why it's called off-grid.
SPEAKER_01That's why I say though. I can't do it because right, I gotta worry about my OG and I gotta worry about my family. If you go off grid and be- Are they worried about you, though? Yeah, they better be.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. That's the thing. Like, people are you put them on to living off-grid, also. Sorry. I'm in school. I'm like, but you know. I think you put them on to that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_03It's nothing wrong with, you know, telling them how you feel. And sometimes people's minds are not like, you know, equipped to understand what you're going through or anything like that. So it doesn't matter anyways. I'm trying I put you onto the knowledge. I didn't leave you out if it actually comes down time to you know. That's the only thing that I keep saying about myself. Like so my family thinks I'm a conspiracy theorist for sure. I'm the black sheep.
SPEAKER_01I don't want to call you the black sheep. It's just like you think different. I just right. That'll make you a that'll make you the black sheep. Like me, I'm on the black sheep. I do everything opposite, you know, for my family. Uh on the streets. I did this, I did that. Right. Like, you know, like when shit go down, they call me. But you know, by me up in age now, I don't use my mind frame to call my people to do things that need to be done. So I want to call you the black sheep, and I'm gonna call it like a uh um conspiracy theory. Because everybody had their own way of thinking, their own knowledge. And then, and I'm not the one to judge nobody. You know what I'm saying? If you judge the people, huh?
SPEAKER_03You can't even. But see, a lot of people I didn't want to interrupt you, also. I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_01It's cool. It's cool. You know what I'm saying? So, I mean, I mean, I feel all that. You know what I'm saying? So I'm not knocking out of that. But it ain't what you do, it's how you do it, you know?
SPEAKER_03Right.
SPEAKER_01So my true. Yeah, you know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_03So that's how you do it. Yeah, and how you perceive it.
SPEAKER_01Exactly.
SPEAKER_03You know, I I kept thinking when I moved here, I was like, I hate Minnesota. Uh I gotta change my whole view of everything. It's so it's not diverse. And you you guys have mom and pop shops, great. I'm a part of you guys. I keep saying that. Like I'm just saying Minnesotans that have been established here in the past, like, you know, eight to ten years. But, you know, the only thing I hate is it's the same thing revised in different restaurants. Like how they do this and that. But you guys are all still ordering from the same company, you know. How is it revised? Oh, I'll switch up this sauce and make it this sauce, but we're still saving the sermons or serving the same product.
SPEAKER_01You know what's funny though? They don't sell chicken in the summertime. That's the funny shit. No. Why? I don't know, man.
SPEAKER_03You know, me and it's not even hot enough.
SPEAKER_01Hey, hey, look, you know. In Minnesota. Hey, look, me and my people right. You know, we get we get lit and we probably want to bark. We ain't got no chicken. Um, we ain't got no chicken. I'm telling you. That'd be and then, you know, by me being from the city, it don't take chicken like 17 minutes to cook. We get it hot. Here, you take them off for 45 minutes. I don't understand it.
SPEAKER_03You can get chicken at the gas station, even though, but um, honestly, it's coming up on an album and a half.
SPEAKER_01Is there anything else no say you want to ask me? You know, like before our next episode. What's the next episode?
SPEAKER_03You know? I'm just kidding. So, so I mean, I mean, you're not nervous no more? No, I'm not. No, I we we met each other. This has actually been a great vibe. Right. You know what I'm saying? So, right. Yeah, it's been very fun, you know. See what I mean? So I I don't know. I'd love to come back. Oh, yeah, you let me know.
SPEAKER_01Matter of fact, we're gonna talk about that.
SPEAKER_03We're gonna set the date up today. I love that.
SPEAKER_01So right, um, I mean, I mean, is it you say you you had nothing to ask me, and see you have no, I don't gotta worry about nobody looking on my shoulder. Oh, she's talking about girl. No, I don't, okay.
SPEAKER_03No, okay, no, baby daddy, that's gonna come after you.
Unity, Insecurity, And Self Work
SPEAKER_01Okay, no, I'm I'm no secret exactly. I'm not worried about it, you know what I'm saying? I swear to God, I'm not. I don't want to go to jail. I'm done. No, okay, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03We're all cool. So, how was it though? I mean, like your first time being on Baptist. Oh my gosh, you have this whole podcast all set up, all nice. It's it's a nice vibe, very fun. Yeah, loved it. You're chill. Okay, it's just been awesome. So I'm glad that you know you allowed me to be on here. Okay, I mean, keep in mind, like, we literally just met each other today. Like, you know, and it's been a vibe ever since we met.
SPEAKER_01The first time we ever met face to face. And then that's kind of I was telling my guy, like, man, I never met her before. Oh, she good people, you know what I'm saying? She we she would support M O B. Okay, well then I I gotta see her, you know what I'm saying? So it is what it is, dope. But I appreciate that.
SPEAKER_03And I do buy by that merch. Yeah, all that merch. But Mr. Baptiste over here, he's actually gatekeeping his merch. And I actually want one of these hoodies, so it's messed up.
SPEAKER_01Hey, I I gotcha. I gotcha. Hey, hey, hey, keeping it real. You hear, right? You know what I'm saying? I gotta put another order in.
SPEAKER_02Yes, for sure.
SPEAKER_01Yes, but no, I'm I mean, I appreciate you coming on here. I mean, I spent some time, you know what I'm saying, and and we and we smoke, we, we chill, we talk, we even sit, we vibe. And it's gonna be a lot of episodes coming up. I'm thinking about having a as a co-host could write, it's like we'd be on the same page, you know what I'm saying? And it's better to have a dialogue than a monologue, you know what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_03You gotta have that female energy in here too. You know what I mean? Like, yeah. I'm trying to mess up with your guys' mind as well. Because I I wanna know the life of a man, also, and I want to know, you know, you guys need to hear the life of a woman. But uh, okay.
SPEAKER_01Us clashing together is beautiful. Okay, so so so so right. You already said she wants to mess with a man's mind. So, how do you think my mind is?
SPEAKER_03Oh, I don't know. We've had some talks, and you fried me already. No, besides fry. Okay, I mean, it's it's very, you're very. Intellectual. I'll give you that. You you got the right answers for a lot of questions that I have for you. I mean, in my opinion. But you know, at the same time, I'm like, we don't support men. No. You funny. No, I'm just kidding. You funny. But thank you so much.
SPEAKER_01I mean, I mean, always. But see, that's the vibe I be trying to give. And then this is the first time I honestly, this is the first time I've ever been like, I'd say, just relax. You know what I'm saying? I really can um like keep it in tune and keep it on point. And and you know, like a lot, I have a lot of haters. You do? I think I'll be pointing.
SPEAKER_03You don't have haters, you know.
SPEAKER_01I ain't doing nothing right. Thank you. You know what I'm saying? Thank you so great. But see, but see. Add them up. Exactly. And now I put a poster like, man, thank y'all. You know what I'm saying? But at the same time, though, you know, I really appreciate you sliding through, hanging out with me. You know what I'm saying? It's gonna be a couple more days. Because no, I at the same time, it's like I say it's like we kind of feel each other. Yeah, I'm not really like I'm I mean, ain't no wrong with having uh extra guests on back talk. So, right, you know what I'm saying? We should kick it and vibe and talk. And she can't. I'm not good with the sports though.
SPEAKER_03That's something that like, you know, you're gonna have to skip and y'all on that one. No. All I know is that this end and that end is a touchdown.
SPEAKER_01No. If you take this.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01Can you watch the game with me?
SPEAKER_03Oh, oh, the whole game?
SPEAKER_01I mean, some of it. I mean, you scared.

No. See, that's the problem. No, it ain't. You don't care about Chicago. Yes, I do. I love Chicago, but I don't like the moment. Because nobody, they treat us bullishly. You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_03Okay, okay.
SPEAKER_01They didn't.
SPEAKER_03They don't want Chicago to rise up, is what you're saying.
