Foundations First: Building Your Mental and Physical Health

Nicholas Season 1 Episode 2

Mental and physical health transformation begins with foundational habits, not complex spiritual practices or psychological techniques. Professional help and medication are valuable tools, not signs of weakness, as what truly matters is taking consistent action aligned with becoming your strongest self.

• Regular strength training serves as the cornerstone for mental health improvement
• Proper nutrition naturally follows exercise, with protein sources becoming "sacred material"
• Personal development functions as an upward spiral that expands outward while elevating you
• Nature immersion through walking, touching trees, and cold water exposure accelerates healing
• Consistency for six full months creates not just improvement but complete transformation
• The process burns away accumulated negative aspects, creating space for your authentic self
• Advanced spiritual work should only begin after establishing these foundational habits

Commit to these basics for six months with maximum effort, and transformation is guaranteed. Don't listen to more podcasts or influencers—just implement these fundamentals consistently and report back when you've become your 2.0 version.

Speaker 1:

Welcome to the Soul Burn Fit Podcast. This is episode number two. I just want to start with a brief message depression, anxiety, panic disorder, adhd, ocd, bpd, bipolar schizophrenia, schizoaffective If you're experiencing any of those symptoms, then you should seek professional help. I am a professional, but I am not a licensed mental health professional. I am a personal trainer who helps people with their mental health. So I can only give you my advice as someone who's gone through the fire If you need to be on medication, then you should be on medication.

Speaker 1:

I am on medication. There's no weakness in being on medication. If you were a diabetic, you would need insulin. If you're a man, I need Zylac to sleep. Man, I need Zylak to sleep.

Speaker 1:

Does that make me less of a man? I don't think so. I think what I do is what makes me a man or not. It's not defined by your struggling or your suffering or the adversity you go through. It has nothing to do with any of that. The only thing that really matters is what you do. What you do, that is the only thing that matters.

Speaker 1:

And this morning, you know, something was occurring and it was making me feel stress and discomfort and displeasure and I thought to myself what I'm doing right now. It's uncomfortable to the present version of me, it's uncomfortable in this current moment that I'm in, but if I think about, if I think about the one year from now version of myself, because of having done this in the present moment, and tomorrow and the next day, you have teleported from whatever level you're on right now to an entirely different level. So my message is get the help you need, take support when you can, but most of all, do the things that are in alignment with the person that you want to be. Find out who you want to be and then do what that person would do. The strongest version of you probably lifts weights at least a few times a week, so you should probably start by doing that. Once you've been doing that for a couple weeks, you'll notice that you start to feel better. So you'll start to think a little bit about what you're eating.

Speaker 1:

The junk food is not going to be as appealing for you anymore. It might be, or it might not be, even if it is. You're going to understand now that certain food you just have to eat. When I look at a piece of chicken, to me every piece of chicken is sacred material, like it is sustenance, it is giving you life and nourishment. You start eating more food, like that. Things start to spiral upwards. Everything is a spiral. If you just look at a spiral, that personal development, self-growth, all that stuff it is a spiral. Just look at a spiral and watch how it spirals outward, but you're also spiraling upwards. So it might not look like you're spiraling that wide, like the diameter may only be so wide, but the depth is infinite. So start paying attention to these things.

Speaker 1:

The food you put into your body. Start drinking more water. It's also good if you walk as much as you can. Go on hikes, go in nature when possible, surround yourself with trees and streams and rivers, stand in the cold water, touch the trees around you, be present, breathe, see and feel everything that's going on around you. What else, guys? That is literally the bread and butter.

Speaker 1:

Do that, do that for like six months and then we can start talking about shadow work, light work and all that stuff. First, just get your ass in the gym consistently as much as possible, sleep well, drink water, eat good food and report back to me how you feel. But the thing is you have to do it consistently for six months. If it's been five months and 20 days and you tell me I'm not feeling any better. Nah, you owe me 10 more days at least. So try that out, report back to me and then let's move on to the next level.

Speaker 1:

When you have done that, then report back to this podcast and watch the next episode, the 2.0 version of yourself. You might have leveled up, but you haven't gone up levels. You've gone up points. You've gone up levels Maybe your 1.7 version but I don't know if you've ever been subscribed to a software and they've just done like a complete system upgrade and everything looks completely different and remodeled. It's not even the same thing anymore. It's not even the same thing anymore. And that's what I'm trying to tell you.

Speaker 1:

When you burn the fat and you build the muscle, you literally are melting away the parts of you that aren't you, the parts that you've acquired from whatever hardships, adversities and losses you've experienced in your life. You're burning that, and that fire creates the heat that metamorphosis well, you know the word I'm going for transforms you into this new version of yourself. So do that. That is how you get to level two. That is how you get to the 2.0 version of yourself. Um, once you're there then then we can start talking about the soul in the spirit. So do that for six months, like literally don't listen to any more podcasts, don't listen to any more hype influencers on the internet. Just do what I just told you to do For the next six months With full, maximum effort, and I won't be expecting an email saying you're not feeling good or it's not working. It's not going to happen. You are going to see transformation. I have seen it. I have seen it in others. I have helped others do it. I'm going to help you do it. Let's go, thank you.
