Ep 15: "Talkin' All That Jazz"

Maine and Rance Season 1 Episode 15

Jazz is a uniquely American artform. It is a sound born from Black genius, shaped in struggle, and lifted by improvisation and freedom. It's the music that taught the world how to swing, how to break rules, and how to turn emotion into art. More than a genre, jazz is a mirror of America's story: bold, resilient, innovative, and always evolving. In this episode, Maine and Rance discuss the history of Jazz and its influence. Starting in New Orleans and borrowing from Ragtime and The Blues, jazz would go on to heavily influence other genres of contemporary music including R&B and Hip Hop.
