Closed spicy lip gloss, thank you. Episode 16.
SPEAKER_01Welcome back.
unknownHi.
SPEAKER_01Take my eye off. Oh. Make it look different.
SPEAKER_00I mean, I'm wearing the same outfit. What do we have underneath that? Hey guys, welcome back to Stasi Spills episode 16. These outfits look familiar because we wore this in the last we're doing back-to-back outfits today. Dylan is here with me, my fiancee.
SPEAKER_01Yay. Glad to be here.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, honestly, episode two or sixteen. Back to we're we're back to backing today. We have lots. This is on the table here. We've got our Dylan made komucha. Cheers.
SPEAKER_01I I don't have any in my cup. I'll cheers out. Cheers.
SPEAKER_00I don't know. Take a sip. Oh my god. We talked about this in the last episode. I really don't like kombucha.
SPEAKER_01It's good. It it came out good.
SPEAKER_00I think maybe if it was like super chilled, I would have like it would be less. I don't know.
SPEAKER_01If it was colder?
SPEAKER_00I uh five ice cubes.
SPEAKER_01Ice cubes. We can do that.
SPEAKER_00The strain pulp. Strain it out vibes. I'm thinking about the bananas that we have on the counter. This is my brain. Just like already today has been a lot. I'm like, we have bananas on the counter at home. I want to make banana bread. Yeah. Maybe I'll do that when I go home. Chocolate chips.
SPEAKER_01Hmm. And kombucha.
SPEAKER_00No. See, you lost me there.
SPEAKER_01What else could you add to banana bread though? Walnut. Cinnamon.
SPEAKER_00Well, if there's cinnamon in there, it calls for a good amount of cinnamon.
SPEAKER_01Walnuts.
SPEAKER_00Nuts. Pecans. Some people do cranberries. I don't think that's right.
SPEAKER_01I've never had it with cranberry.
SPEAKER_00No. That's a southern thing. We're from the south.
SPEAKER_01Some people would attest or you always say that we are from the south.
SPEAKER_00It is more southern. I had an accent when I moved here. Which is also crazy. Well, you refute it, but we are. Yeah, it's from like damn near North Carolina. Not the deep south, but south.
SPEAKER_03Does it come out? Like in certain times?
SPEAKER_00If I'm talking to my family or my birth mom, because she has a her, she never moved from Virginia and she lives in Portsmouth. So she's got but she has a it's a different, there's different slang and also like accents between like the little areas, and hers is such an interesting accent, but mine was different. But like when I talked to her, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I didn't uh you grew because we grew up, I didn't think anything of how people talked, but it's very distinct now. Yes. Like hearing people talk like that.
SPEAKER_00And even the words that people use or like sayings that people will say, and I feel like that was really illuminated. Because when I first moved here, I worked at like uh it was a retail store for a distributor, and it was like all mostly older white women, and they would always be calling me out for my accent, or like what that's the weirdest, like uh what is the word for like the sayings or whatever? Like the phrases, or they're like, where did it what is that? I'm like, oh, that's very I guess that's a southern dialect. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Is that is that right?
SPEAKER_00No, dialect, I don't know. I think it's more I don't know, but yeah. And also California has its very, very own, like the way that people say things. It's very Cali.
SPEAKER_01You're Southern. I'm not.
SPEAKER_00It's also, I think it's like we're raised by two different types of families. I was raised by a Caribbean, a Haitian woman. So there's also part of that that goes into all of it, you know. We had very different upbringings, although we were down the street from each other. Different food. His mom cooks the best food. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_01What were we just talking about?
SPEAKER_00I don't know how we let into this.
SPEAKER_01I don't know how we got on that.
SPEAKER_00I don't know. Now I'm thinking about your mom's food.
SPEAKER_01Oh, you're talking about banana bread and cooking.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. I think the baking is very like I learned all my good baking recipes from people over there. People be baking.
SPEAKER_01There's nothing else to do.
SPEAKER_00There's not.
SPEAKER_01There's literally nothing else to do.
SPEAKER_00There's not. There's so many good baking. I do love I do love to bake.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00My Sunday bake is the call is what it used to be called.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you are literally the meme of that cartoon where they're they're they're baking. They have a tray of cupcakes and the house is on fire. That is literally you.
SPEAKER_00I like to bake when I'm stressed out.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm. Does it help?
SPEAKER_00I don't know, maybe. Gives you something to think about and do. But then I'm ending up like um there was like a TikTok or something I said, Dylan, the other day, it was like when there's like a gym bro who's dating like the baking girl who's like the gym bro's trying to eat healthy, and like when you come home and there's like Dude, I literally can't.
SPEAKER_01I talk about this at work all the time. Because guys at work are like, I'm cutting, or I'm like, dude, there's no cutting or anything too. I'm like, I yeah. If I'm not eating fucking turkey and a gallon of milk, then I go home and there's like piles of food. There is like I baked this for you and this, and there's cake pops now, and here's this, and I'm like, okay, I guess I guess I'm not gonna listen to it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, sometimes the food's I feel like I put on my healthier food kick, but sometimes it'd be like the most random extra stuff that took me out. Because I like to take make stuff. When if I'm just making something for me to eat, I will make something easy. Like we were talking about. Ooh, have you seen those videos where people do it's like egg roll in a bowl? It's like a one-pot egg roll. It's so good. So you and you, it's really easy, but it's a lot of veggies, so it's like it's the cold slaw mix, which is like you know, cabbage and like carrots, and I think like some other lettuce. And then I get the broccoli broccoli slaw, and I think I put one other, I can't remember what it's like a shredded something vegetable. Put it all in a thing. You do rice white vinegar, you do hoisen sauce, but I have to get gluten-free hoisin sauce, soy sauce, and then I do put a little bit of sesame oil in it, and then you do it with ground turkey. So it's a bunch of vegetables, and it's just like steamed ground, you know, and it's so good. But it's it's like I make a huge pot of that and we eat it for a couple days, and then but anyways, like we'll be on my healthy things. It's delicious. But then sometimes I just like I love a soup because it takes a lot of chopping, a lot of time to cook and get it ready, or like a chili, or try to think what other things I make that just take forever. I'm not as extravagant of Paulina, like she will make like a Paulina makes the best food. Her stuff though, it's taking all day because she's making like bread and she's doing the whole thing. She's like, Yeah, but we do make a lot. I think um I made Valentine's Day cookies that were very cute recently and they were very tasty.
SPEAKER_03Speaking of Paulina, go to the engagement. She just got behind the scenes of it all.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we just we went to Mammoth Lakes. Um, it was January like 30th or something, or 31st. She got engaged, so it's almost her one month. Her fiance told us that we she was gonna get engaged, so we kind of knew. Um prepped her like an engagement bag, like some um gifts and stuff, and we ended up going up on like a Wednesday super late, and Thursday was the engagement day. I mean, she knew something was up all day because I was like bullying her trying to get her together. Um it was great. Yeah, it was really and Mammoth was like it was cold. There was lots of snow. They did snow activities, he snowboarded, I did not. Um, we stayed at a really like one of the nice, nicest hotels I've stayed in a long time, and their breakfast was so the breakfast was good, the food was good. Do you remember what it was called?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it was called the Limelight.
SPEAKER_00The Limelight Hotel was so good, super nice, beautiful views. I didn't get like altitude sickness.
SPEAKER_01And we vlogged it, so it's up on YouTube if you guys want to watch it.
SPEAKER_00I didn't show like any of the hotel or any of the food. I had the best lemon lemon drops of my life there.
SPEAKER_01I know. Lemon drops with tequila instead of it was like the only black eye mammoth made you a lemon drop.
SPEAKER_00God bless. And he would see me at the bar and be like, hey.
SPEAKER_01He's great.
SPEAKER_00And yeah, we had a different like bartender, and every time he'd see me up there, he'd help come help me. And I'm like, thank God.
SPEAKER_01You go up there, you see somebody who's like remotely black, and you're like, No, he's like sister.
SPEAKER_00Hello. I'm like, hey, we ended up getting pulled over too that night was a whole thing.
SPEAKER_01That was my bad.
SPEAKER_00Well, well, you I guess there was like no light on in the back. But then they like pulled the dogs out, and the dogs were barking, and they're like, What's going on? I was like, is that necessary for the lights to that's so intense? Like the dog was screaming and had the like thing on in the window looking at him. I was like, oh my god. But yeah, we were fine. Paulina said it was because we were like the once again, like they see like an interracial couple and they're like, Stop them.
SPEAKER_01No, there's two in the car.
SPEAKER_00No, literally, like, those aren't white people.
SPEAKER_01No, it was fun.
SPEAKER_00No, but the I mean, they were nice enough. They let us go. After like saying 15 times, we thought you were drinking. We were like, but we weren't swerving, we weren't going anywhere. We were just driving from freaking oceanside. It's an eight-hour drive. Like, sister, let us we're trying to get home into our apartments and sleep. But it was beautiful, it was cold.
SPEAKER_01You do not like the cold.
SPEAKER_00No.
SPEAKER_01No. When you see snow, you get stressed out. It's disrespectful. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00It's pretty, but like, no. Like a day.
SPEAKER_01Anything that's not like a bright blue ocean with clear white sand.
SPEAKER_00Well, it could be a lake. It could be a lake, a waterfall.
SPEAKER_01Then you freak out, you're like, this is not a good situation.
SPEAKER_00This is not the place for me. I feel out of water, literally. We were there for like three or four nights. It was a lot. And I got like this like little ski suit or whatever.
SPEAKER_01You know, I I regret not going to the hot springs again while we were there.
SPEAKER_00The hot springs were fun when we went for your birthday, but I also, it was so much colder. We went in August or no, uh April last year for his birthday. And we went in January. It was so cold. I can't imagine going into a hot spring and then trying to get changed back in your clothes when it's that cold.
SPEAKER_01There's a few mornings we probably could have gone because we were waking up pretty early, and I regret like not just going over there while we were doing it.
SPEAKER_00The hot springs were cool though.
SPEAKER_01It was fun.
SPEAKER_00Imagine stepping on the snow to get into the hot spring.
SPEAKER_01What did you think of um a Knight of the Seven Kingdoms?
SPEAKER_00Dylan has been. What is this? A Game of Thrones spinoff? Is it? I think so.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because they talk about the houses and stuff. Yeah. Oh, okay. So this is very Game of Thrones esque.
SPEAKER_01Tom, we just finished the whole season.
SPEAKER_00Well, you're telling them. Go ahead. I was watching it with Dylan, who's read the book, so he was comparing it to the book the whole time. Um, I think it could have been a really great show, I guess, but there was like it was like a 45-minute episode, and for 35 of the minutes, they were showing a bunch of like hoopla, and then there would be like a 10-minute hoopla.
SPEAKER_02That's the South right there.
SPEAKER_00Is that the South game out? It's just like it was annoying. Like it was annoying because it would set up like there's like talking about this tournament for three fucking episodes. He gets to the tournament episode, they're going back and forth about all this stupid shit. He sells his goddamn horse. He's like, Oh, whatever. What's the horse's name? Oh, sweet meadow or whatever. I'm gonna, I'm gonna get you back, blah, blah, blah. I'm gonna win you back. And then come to find out he's not a knight, he hasn't been knighted, he's been lying to everybody. He's this big ass mountain of a man, he's supposed to be like seven, ten or some shit.
SPEAKER_01You can't prove he's not a knight.
SPEAKER_00We can. They proved it in the last episode.
SPEAKER_01No, they didn't.
SPEAKER_00Whatever. He doesn't know how to knight nobody. He doesn't know any of the like the customary well, cuz what is it called? Like, if there's supposed to be like the knightly things, like he doesn't know any of the things he's supposed to be doing, he doesn't know like it's not a ritual, but like if you're it's supposed to be certain ways, like he doesn't know how to do anything.
SPEAKER_01Somebody asks he doesn't know the customs of knighthood. And how do you know that's not what makes a great knight?
SPEAKER_00He did stand up for an innocent woman, but it ended up getting him snapped up.
SPEAKER_01Yes, he's honorable, defends the innocent, good fighter. Was he though?
SPEAKER_00I don't and that kind of no. The whole thing. But he's also just like a mountain, so he kind of just like throws his weight around, but in the stupidest ways. He's like, he's like fighting this guy, one of the king's sons, because like they say that he No, he gets in trouble because the kid Okay, so y'all know about if you don't watch. I mean, whatever. My people, I promise you they're not like, ooh, you spoil it. You got if you watch the Game of Thrones, which is like the dragon people, the Targaryens, one of them, it's like later, later, later after all the dragons have been killed and all of that stuff has happened. Um one of the Targaryens, the blonde-haired people, was like, they were doing the townspeople were doing like a puppet show and they were sh like showing people slaying the dragons, and then the Targaryen guy got mad and he was drunk little rich boy, Arian blah blah blah. Goes up to the girl and like starts beating her up. They're slaying everybody because she's just like doing a puppet show, and then he starts like bending her fingers back and snapping them. The big ass mountain guy, what's his name? Duke Dune, Sir Dunkin' Sir Duncan, the tall. He sees it's happening, he's like, You can't don't like hurt her or whatever. So he runs up there and he tries to save her, and then of course, like he starts kicking the freaking Targaryen dude's teeth out, and you can't do that because he's a prince or whatever. So he gets in trouble and he gets thrown into this like cell, and they're like, Okay, well, you get to um trial by force, or what do they call it?
SPEAKER_01Trial by fucking He demands a trial by combat and Aryan rebuttals and I'm gonna be able to do that. So it's seven on seven.
SPEAKER_00I'm not doing one by one. I'm doing you're you have the right to trial by whatever, one by one, one v one. He's like, actually, that's funny. Targaryen boy said, I'm not going against your big tall ass. Um, seven on seven, except for Sir Duncan the tall has no friends or family that's ready to fight for him, so he's just like scrambling trying to find anybody. So he found a couple noble people that were ready to fight with him.
SPEAKER_01And which is it sounds like you like the show.
SPEAKER_00No, I I think the the premise was good. I think that it was just really annoying. There's a little there's a little Targaryen boy named Egg who we didn't think was a Targaryen the whole time, but then he was like, he ran away from home, blah blah blah. He's cute. He knows like, and that's the thing. He knew all the he was like correcting the guy, like, you can't, this is like the nightly thing. Like he didn't know anything.
SPEAKER_01That's why they're a good pair.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Horror.
SPEAKER_01I like his horses. I like how he gave out one of them chestnuts.
SPEAKER_00The chestnut horse is in chestnut.
SPEAKER_01The next book he's crying because he doesn't have chestnut anymore.
SPEAKER_00What happened to chestnut? He gave away the white one. Why did it die?
SPEAKER_01Uh I think so. I don't want to spoil anything.
SPEAKER_00Well, and then that's the thing, because his friend, after he gave away his horse because he needed money to put like into the freaking tourney or whatever that he ended up not even being able to like participate in because he fought the fucking prince's or king's son. He couldn't even so he gave away his horse. Whatever.
SPEAKER_01I'm like, what he sold it for his armor. He sold it. Oh, that's right.
SPEAKER_00He needed uh armor or some shit.
SPEAKER_01His friend sounds like he liked it.
SPEAKER_00His friend gives him his horse back only for him to be like Raymond Foss away. Thanks for helping me fight. You can have my horse. Bitch has nothing to his name except for these three horses. I think you should keep the horse. It was a noble thing to do. He gave it to his friend. But now finding that the other horse is gonna be dead, like he has one horse. I can't. I also my gripe is Dylan was telling me when he was reading this book that this dude was supposed to be tall, like heads taller than everybody.
SPEAKER_01In the book, he's like 6'11.
SPEAKER_00In the show, he gives like 6'2, so he's tall, but not like they're not even like pretending in the it's just like for me, it's a continuity thing. If he's supposed to be so much bigger than everybody, because they call him Duncan the Tall and the they keep referencing the tall, I'm like, but they're looking at him like this. Yeah. Like you need to like crane your neck a little bit.
SPEAKER_01The actor is like 6'5.
SPEAKER_00But when they're walking, even when they're walking next to each other in the show, I'm like, can they?
SPEAKER_01Well, that's why that's why they can't get a person who's actually seven feet tall. Because then they're not gonna be in the street.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, or something to make him.
SPEAKER_01That person's not gonna be in frame.
SPEAKER_00That's the point. That's why like every actor needs to be it needs to be like this looking at donkeys.
SPEAKER_03That would be a funny shot, Loki. It's just like I think that's the point cuts up and down.
SPEAKER_00Especially when they're talking about like the when he's looking at the kings and having like serious conversations, they're supposed to be looking up at him. It would make more like sense, but I don't know.
SPEAKER_01Well, I know I'm super tall, but we don't all just grow on trees. You can't just find one of us tall folk walking around.
SPEAKER_00That's an actor.
SPEAKER_01You have to cast them somebody who's almost as tall as me, you know?
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_01I'm just joking.
SPEAKER_00That's a short king.
SPEAKER_01I'm short.
SPEAKER_00We love a short king.
SPEAKER_01No, the show is the show is fucking awesome. It's a decent show, it's just annoying.
SPEAKER_00I think that and then like you they they set up the whole show for this, like the only 15 minutes, it seems like, and I'm like, could we have gotten a little bit more?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but it was one of the best fight scenes in TV ever.
SPEAKER_00Okay. It was it was annoying. Which of the girls kept cutting away, and that's the thing. They in the middle of the cut fight scene, they keep cutting away from when he's a baby or something. I was like, cut the camera. I'm tired. Like, stop doing this back and forth in the future, in the past, in the future. I can't do that. Which of the girls did you there wasn't many girls in the show?
SPEAKER_01The puppeter, there's the redheaded girl.
SPEAKER_00Don't remember her. The girl that made the armor.
SPEAKER_01There's um the Ashford girl. It's her birthday party the whole fucking tournament.
SPEAKER_00She said, Yeah, she's funny. She she said, Um, it's okay for ruining my name day or my birthday, because y'all had to fight. It was a nice show. I'm like, I understand that. I think if I was like a princess and people were like fighting, I'd be like, that's fine. It's okay. You'd be like, hell yeah. Thank you. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Oh man, remember I was asking you what your house sigil would be if you were in Game of Thrones?
SPEAKER_00I'd love to ask that. Yeah, what's I don't know.
SPEAKER_01I think yours would have to be like a fucking moon.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, for sure. Like a moon, but then like what's the vibe? A moon like with a siren underneath it in the water, like there'd be like a lot of things. That's so elaborate.
SPEAKER_01You can't be doing all that.
SPEAKER_00Why?
SPEAKER_01Because people just get like a fucking like the the Starks just have like a wolf or something.
SPEAKER_00Well, they're gonna have to find a lot of things.
SPEAKER_01The lanterns just get like a lion. You're like adding all these details.
SPEAKER_00Like a moon reflecting off the water's edge, and there's like a mermaid hitting on it.
SPEAKER_01So a moon and a mermaid is gonna be your house, Sitril?
SPEAKER_00The moon is, but the mermaid's being reflected outside of the thing, yeah. There's gotta be mermaids in Game of Thrones, there's dragons and wolves. There's a mermaid.
SPEAKER_01I don't know. I don't even think there's like are there like sirens and stuff? There's gotta be.
SPEAKER_00There's people on boats. Whatever there's people on boats, there's siren lore. In all things, there's siren lore.
SPEAKER_01Nah, there's gotta be sirens.
SPEAKER_00I wonder why that is. Everybody's talking to each other. Oh, there's siren. No, they've seen them.
SPEAKER_03Speaking of shows, have you guys did you guys watch Fallout?
SPEAKER_00We didn't finish.
SPEAKER_01No, we started the newest season.
SPEAKER_00We haven't finished.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_00No. You know what I can't get over? When people get too much work done between seasons.
SPEAKER_03Who's it?
SPEAKER_00I think that the main girl is Fallout the one that I'm thinking where they're in the bunker. Yeah. I feel like she got something to her face, and no shade, because I think you're beautiful. It's it's distracting.
SPEAKER_03She looks like a drawing of like a person.
SPEAKER_00Maybe they're putting a filter or something then to make it look more like the animation, like the game.
SPEAKER_03She also just doesn't look real. She has huge eyes.
SPEAKER_00It is that, yeah.
SPEAKER_03And I'm like I think she got lips or something.
SPEAKER_00It does. And I don't, and I'm like, when you're an actress, it's really but between seasons, it gets me. If it was if she looked like at the beginning, I'd be like, makes sense.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00But imagine if like Cersei or something, or like one of the girls. That's what happened with Lily Bobby Brown between the last episodes.
SPEAKER_03Oh my god. She looks 48. It's like, no, she's supposed to be 17 or something.
SPEAKER_00No, well, I think they all that's the show's fault for waiting so long. But it's like she's serving face between the last episodes. It's just so insane.
SPEAKER_01Was she 18 or over in the last year? She's like 20 something in the last episode. She's like 20 something. She had a baby.
SPEAKER_00Well, she didn't have a baby, she adopted a baby. She's like 23 now.
SPEAKER_01Oh wow.
SPEAKER_00She adopted a baby with her husband.
SPEAKER_03Hmm.
SPEAKER_00And Finn or whatever his name is, not Finn. What's whatever will is the goddad.
SPEAKER_03Like real life.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah, the goddad in real life. The pictures of them like shielding the baby from proparazzi is like my favorite thing. I'm like, yeah, you protect that child. Hello?
SPEAKER_0322.
SPEAKER_00Her face card is lethal. But it's just like when the show started and they were like so young. I'm like, y'all couldn't have recorded these back to back and back to back to the cards.
SPEAKER_01She looks super British.
SPEAKER_00Well, she's British.
SPEAKER_01I know. There's something you can just tell for them.
SPEAKER_00She's so I'm sure they could they say the same thing about Americans. They're super American, yeah. It's the jaw.
SPEAKER_01It's something. I have no idea what it is.
SPEAKER_00But also imagine just I think that she's beautiful.
SPEAKER_01I didn't say she wasn't.
SPEAKER_00She just looked British. Well, there's no inflation in there. Stunning.
SPEAKER_03I just think it's crazy when an actress gets a lot of black plastic surgery because they usually are. I know they tell them not.
SPEAKER_01Are we gonna like look back at this whole era and be like, why were people doing that? Is it like when we look back at like the 80s and we're like, why were people doing that with their hair?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, they probably were.
SPEAKER_01Are they gonna go like oh dude, the 2020s, bro? Like, people were just doing putting everything.
SPEAKER_00It's happening right now with BBLs. People are getting their BBLs out. Like the Kardashians are getting their BBLs out. Like, wow.
SPEAKER_01Are guys gonna start getting BBLs? Is that what's gonna say?
SPEAKER_00There's a rumor that Drake has a BBL. What? Really? BBL Drizzy. Have you not heard that song?
SPEAKER_01No, that's a conspiracy rap.
SPEAKER_00No, that's a nice. It's like you missed that. There's a conspiracy that Drake has a BBL. That's where BBL Drizzy came out. The best BBL in history. I've said it, but later.
SPEAKER_01Really?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Hmm.
SPEAKER_00There's like, yeah, and then he gets he he looks maxed. He's always like moging the camera.
SPEAKER_01What do you think of looks max?
SPEAKER_00I think well, who are we talking about? I think that the only person when I think of looks maxing, I've only seen it that clavicular person who's Oh, you're finally so clicked. I saw, and I'm like, and he's been like openly talking about how he does meth. I'm like, what's happening? Yeah, he's like, Oh, that's how I get so ripped. I'm like, are you okay? No, I think he's crazy. And also, what's looks maxing where you just like work out and take care of your looks? Like, I don't think that's a problem. But I think like you're doing meth to stay skinny and you're talking about it online. Got the cameras. Sorry, I think I'm away from my mic. I think that's crazy. But also, people have been looks maxing if we're talking about it. Like, girls have been doing this, like models have been doing it for forever. When you think about that, like Vogue, um, it's in the Magazines, what is it from the 80s when the girls were doing like you had a uh egg for half an egg for breakfast? They tubbed you you could have a coffee and wine. Lunch, you had the other half of the egg, want another glass of wine, and then for because you're just drunk all day. And then dinner, I think you had like um what was it? It was like a pork chop, but it was like a piece of a a thing, um, and then another glass of wine. Basically, you had whole glass a whole bottle of wine a day, uh, an egg, and like two cups of coffee. That's just looks maxing, baby. That's not gut maxing.
SPEAKER_03That's gut maxing. Looks maxing was made popular by the incel community as a way for them to then become like wanted. Wanted. Um, it's gotten extreme because they have really gotten into like jaw surgery. And I'm pretty sure they've talked about like at-home jaw surgery.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, dude, but girls have been like they've been doing that shit. Girls are not. They've been doing surgery.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, surgery is different than people that are incels that are like, well, let's fix her face. It's not the fact that you're ugly, it's the fact that you're a piece of shit.
SPEAKER_02True.
SPEAKER_00There's so many people that are not conventionally attractive that have really beautiful partners because they're good people and they have lots of love to offer rather than the incel people.
SPEAKER_02That's hard to teach. That's hard to teach. She's like looking at me while she's saying that.
SPEAKER_01She's like, There's lots of ugly people with good partners.
SPEAKER_00No, that's not what I'm saying. But like, you know, it's I think it's really down to also how you treat people. It's super attractive. Like, you don't have to be doing it. I'm gonna start looking away from you.
SPEAKER_01There's lots of people that punch up in their weight class and get more attractive partners than what they're deserving of based on appearance.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but it doesn't have to be appearance. Like, if you're giving a lot of other things, I won't look at you. If you're giving a lot of other things, I think it's like worth it. Like the incel community is not lonely enough, actually. I think they need to be lonelier. Wow. Yeah. Cause then they're the those are the type of people that like when when they have been when they're asking a girl for their number, then it's like, well, you're a stupid, ugly bitch anyways. And it's like, okay, that's fucking crazy, or they're stalking you through Walmart, or like they're putting a camera in your face, like the stupid bitch said bubble, and you're like, Whoa, I just said that I have a boyfriend. So I'm good.
SPEAKER_01That's no way to talk to people.
SPEAKER_00I'll talk to anybody how I want.
SPEAKER_01Apparently, I was saying that's no way for them to talk to people.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but I will also.
SPEAKER_03But what miles? You're good. A part of like the looks maxing jaw, they have a jaw hack of like how to get a surgery, is they'll fake their sleep studies to show that they're getting bad sleep and then they'll get a jaw surgery.
SPEAKER_00Wouldn't that just be a nose thing? Like if you're having bad sleep and they're saying it's like you're breathing bad.
SPEAKER_01It's probably both.
SPEAKER_00Also, just pay for your plastic surgery.
SPEAKER_01But to get like your insurance to cover it. Because your insurance isn't gonna cover it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but are they covering the no, because there's a difference between medical intervention and getting like actual what they call the cosmetics of it. So how are they getting a cosmetic jawline? Also, get some Botox. I don't know. You get well, I guess they don't want to pay for it. Is that what you're saying?
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I don't know. Also, the whole mewing thing. Yes, the mewing. Yeah. That's like the low-tier version of the jaw surgery.
SPEAKER_01I need to learn all this stuff, honestly. I gotta step up my game. See, you're good at it.
SPEAKER_00No, it's not good. You sit there and you're just like, you know, your lips are always But it's also like when they're on livestream all the time, and you won't catch them not making a face.
SPEAKER_03You know. Well, they probably just stare at the camera and do that and hardly say anything.
SPEAKER_00Posing 24-7. Yeah, and that's it's scary.
SPEAKER_03Oh, one of the biggest names is Kareem Shami, a 22-year-old student in San Diego. Podcast guys. Oh no. I don't know who that is either.
SPEAKER_00I don't want I'm scared. I don't want any of those. I do think like it's really interesting the people that like live stream all the time and they are like those kind of people. Like those clips that come out are insane of their they're like 24-7 just streaming all the time. And they always have like the TTS in the background, which are saying like the craziest things are out in public and they're just doing wild shit.
SPEAKER_01I think it's kind of cool, honestly.
SPEAKER_00I it's entertaining. It's entertaining, but I think like sometimes they're abusive to people. Like in public, they're super loud, they're abusive to like or abusive, maybe is like kind of a crazy word to say, but like they're really disruptive to like servers, they're mean, they're rude, that Covet girl. It's like a micro community that they're all they do link up and do that stuff together. I think that is interesting.
SPEAKER_01And then it's like I couldn't I couldn't imagine watching it live. That just seems like a lot. Well, I watched some of the things. I watched the clip, I'll see like a 30-second clip and something cool.
SPEAKER_00But then I go down the rabbit hole because I'm like, who is this person and where is this clip coming from? And it's like 28 parts. And that, but I that's how I found those like Brie and all those people was because like they were on what is it, kick, the the green, yeah, it was kick. And it was like I had never heard of her, no shade, until she kidnapped her kid. Allegedly, I don't know, they're in court right now. That's crazy, and took them out of state lines, and she was 24-7 streaming. It insane. There's like six different angels from like six different influencers all on kick streaming, and the police are showing up. They're at no, literally, they're at like a content house. There's all of these things, there's clips on clips on clips, and I was like, Whoa.
SPEAKER_01That's an American job, baby.
SPEAKER_00Or I started watching the Messi Modge one where Kennedy Dior was on. Like, I had never watched the season one, but then me and Alyssa were watching because we were like, we'd watch Kennedy Dior, who had like a small business at the time. It was called Barbie Palace, and she got invited to this show, and I had no idea what the show was about. So I was like super excited because I'm I'm like, it's a 24-hour stream. Like, she's funny, like, she really is funny. I knew that people were gonna be dramatic with her because she's a tea girl and she just gives, like, I love her. Like, well, she gave there's no, because I think actually the controversy is all people being transphobic. I that's something I will stand on. They're so mean to her. There was she called somebody out on her birthday because they called her a he and it was supposedly a fan that she allowed at her birthday party, and then there's all these people that were making like clips of her being like, You shouldn't have, like, you shouldn't have popped off and kicked her out. You're a fan, you called her a man. Um, she gets invited to the Messi Ma show, and it was a bunch of people that were either you really liked her or you were transphobic and you were just calling her like he and on all this crazy stuff on the in the comments. So she goes, and it was like my first time ever watching a 24-hour stream where they were changing, like but there were so many cameras going. They were changing back and forth, back and forth.
SPEAKER_03And I think live switching, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Well, it was on well, it was on they had like it was in a house, so like they would be in different rooms at the house, and it would just like switch screen. It would for us, it was one, but like, and they weren't allowed to live stream, so she was uh like a security cam kind of yes, and then sometimes there was like a camera guy that was following them around for like they were supposed to do challenges, but it they there were so many fights that they didn't get to do any of their challenges. Um, and I think that's what I didn't realize about the what that was. It was going to be a bunch of people just tussling, and they had on the screen ready, like the first night that they got there, they were like, Okay, we're gonna test out the blurring effect. They had a cloud that would go over it, and you could hear people like you just hear a bunch of thumping.
SPEAKER_01I know, but then what's the point if you can't watch those things?
SPEAKER_00Well, because the show Messy Modge said if you subscribe to my YouTube or whatever it was, you get to see the uncensored fights. They haven't gone up yet, and it's been like a year and a half since the show was filmed. Oh, those aren't going up. I don't know. Well, and I also wonder because at some point people have the whole legal stuff. Yeah, they could be like, but I'm sure they signed something, but then people were saying it's just messy. And I didn't know that was like my introduction into those like live stream 24-hour house content things. Because people did have a bunch of like they were they were allowed to like when Kennedy would go live, she was like filming getting ready, or like they'd film a lot of TikToks, and so like obviously people are getting a lot of other people and like collabing and all of these things are probably also like growing from it, but it was so I mean I think that one's messy because his name's Messy Maj, but I had never seen something like that until last year. I was like, people do this. Oh, and then I was just watching one the other day because I was sick and I was at home and it was somebody's it was like 2K and some guy that didn't know Shade had never heard of before, and they had gotten like two or three yachts in Miami, and I was like, This is gonna be one of those nights, like with Ash, do you remember Ash Travino vibes? Oh, this is I'm trying to think. It was like one of those when it was happening, if you missed it, there was 35 clips and they had like millions of views on them, and it'd be like, Oh, so I was like, I'm gonna watch this because it's gonna be one of those nights, and like one person's live was shut down, and then there'd be like other because like they were walking around the boats, and it was just like people partying because it was somebody's birthday, but like they have like a ring lights sitting in front of them this far away with like three lights blasting on you, and it's like just people in every corner of the boat doing that, like they're on live stream, partying and dancing, only like singing to the camera, like not talking to anybody else around them. Like, this is so interesting. Cause like I understand recording, it would be weird to work on the boat and just watch them all partying while being kind of near each other and interacting, but only interacting for like 30 seconds and then going back to their live stream and being like chat blah blah blah, and they're battling, they're like on the yacht battling on TikTok live, and I'm like, what? So it's interesting. A witchy content house.
SPEAKER_01You always get surprised by this. I never get surprised by this. I think it's because you've seen it. I'm like, I'm like, what? No, dude. We were talking about this at work. We were like, that's America, dude. It is interesting, yeah.
SPEAKER_00I think that's like, yeah. I'm putting this out there. Somebody put me on Traitors or something. I want to go on one of those shows. Like uh I feel like that would be fine. I've been watching Traitors or the Mole.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Do you like that show? Traitors is good.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I think that one's easier than the mole, because well, not easier, but I think it's easier to like follow than the mole.
SPEAKER_01It kind of looks kind of looks weird. Every time I see it, it looks ridiculous.
SPEAKER_00Well, the the costumes and stuff get you, you're like, what's happening on screen? But like the the gameplay, because I think like Big Brother is too much physical activity and it's a long three months, and the 24-hour stream of it all would be too much. I don't know. But I feel like I could be one of those people on one of those shows that like there's always so many people that make it close to the end because they're not a threat and they just ride it out for a long time. I think I would be good at that.
SPEAKER_01I think you'd be good at a lot of things.
SPEAKER_00Let me in.
SPEAKER_01I would love to see it.
SPEAKER_00Like, imagine I'm on one of those random because I don't I think like I would give enough like dramatics to like whenever they would make me do physical things, I'd be like, you're fucking like all of that would be too much. Or I would have a lot to say in the behind the scenes, like when you sit down and do your confessional, oh I'm just yapping.
SPEAKER_03That's also good TV.
SPEAKER_00The yapping, yeah. I think that'd be good. I think you'd be good in a show like that because you would be somebody who would stir the pot, blow it up, and then step back and be like in the corner drinking kombucha. Oh yeah. No, but he would he would be like, Oh my god, did you hear that? Blah blah blah said blah blah blah. And he would say it to them behind, like, and so then they would bring it up and because they're because I just I just do that. I think that'd be really good. I don't know, somebody hit up one of those shows. We got an email like two years ago being on Do You Wanna Be on Naked and Afraid? We think it was like Wait, what? Yeah, it was like the. No, well, that was a different one. Oh yeah, that one never made it out. They don't they that show never made it out. They were interviewing me, Paulina, and a few other people.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00They were trying to make like a which they get you on Naked and Afraid, or what was the one called? It's it's like Survivor, not Survivor, it's like a survivor type show. Um, but you're it's like where people can steal other people's stuff. It's I don't think that Survivor, they do that. Um, but I had I'd I was like they were like, I think that your knowledge of plants, and we're placing this one in the islands, and we would really like to like that's your vibe. And we're like, I was like, I'm promising you I'm not fighting for food and water. Like, that is not my vibe. I'm not sleeping outside like that. You have me fucked, I'm not doing that. Like, as much as it'd be fun to talk about like the plants and the medicinal world, no. And I remember calling my dad, and he was like, No, because of that one, the women are like really preyed on because it's like you have to use a physical ability to like protect the stuff that you have, and a lot of times our camps get trashed by the guys, and they can just like fuck the women up. And I'm like, no, I'm good on that. But I'm like, why do shows reach out for that kind of thing? Like, let me on your fun show, please. Yeah, you know, not I'm outside fighting for actual food and life and and shelter, I'm building it with my hands. I don't know what is the fun ones. I think Big Brother is fun, but it is just very low.
SPEAKER_01The fold?
SPEAKER_00What's that?
SPEAKER_01I tell you, I think I told Miles about this show a while ago. It's just comedians playing poker. Oh it's called The Fold. I watch every episode of that, it's so fucking good.
SPEAKER_00See, see, I can't. You would love that. I just can't.
SPEAKER_01But they might even front you like 300 bucks and you just play.
SPEAKER_00You'd be surprised either, you think?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Maybe if I learned, but if I yeah, if I fucking taught you. But they're so funny.
SPEAKER_03Do you think uh Stas could bluff though?
SPEAKER_00I'm really bad at lying. That's why it sucks for I think like to be, I think it'd be funny.
SPEAKER_01You don't have to. There's strategies for like there's strategies for like pretty women to play poker. There's actual strategies. Like Daniel Negrani taught his ex-girlfriend like um a poker strategy because she was like a l a small like Asian girl. And he like literally told her how to like take advantage of other people trying to like overbet you and try to bluff you all the time.
SPEAKER_00I feel like that's I have to do like some psychological work before I go into something like that.
SPEAKER_01It's really not. Honestly, the more I've been playing, the I think that it's less psychological, and it is it's less of a numbers game as well. It's kind of more about situations. Um and I mean I guess because I'm since I play mostly in the my same big uh your friend group friend group with the same social circle. I kind of know people's styles and the expectations.
SPEAKER_00Well, and you're good at telling if people are lying, you're good at like weeding bullshit out.
SPEAKER_01There yeah. There so far. I haven't lost still a bunch of money yet. But then there's also advantages where like when I went to a game, I played a game in Chicago when I was there visiting and no one knew me. Yeah. You have advantages there too, where like no one knows what kind of player you are. Yeah. I had a good night that night, too. Yeah, you really did have a good play. But um you can be good at poker, man. Give yourself some.
SPEAKER_00I don't like to like again, I don't like to play with my money like that. I'm great. I prefer to like work really hard and put it in the bank.
SPEAKER_01I know, I'm the same way. I'm the same way.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Poker for me is just fun. You go in with a hundred dollars.
SPEAKER_00The circle.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, good luck getting on something like that.
SPEAKER_00I know, because there's so many people on there. Something like that.
SPEAKER_03You have clout though. You have to give yourself credit.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but do they? I don't think that they have people with clout on the show.
SPEAKER_01Oh, do they not? No, I don't think so.
SPEAKER_00I don't have clout like that. I don't think.
SPEAKER_01Also, you might not be dumb enough.
SPEAKER_00Hello? You're calling people dumb? That's new.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, a lot of the people who get on those shows, I'm like, how are you even getting through society? Like, how are you not homeless? A lot of the people on the TV shows, I'm like, I don't even know like how they're finding some of these people sometimes.
SPEAKER_00Well, maybe that's why they like because they're they're entertaining. They're you know, like they give, they give drama, they give, you know.
SPEAKER_01Like, oh, like love is blind.
SPEAKER_00Like some of the guys on Love is Blind, and some of some of the people on that show are just like they're it's insane work. It's insane work.
SPEAKER_01Anyone who goes on that show is crazy, guy or girl. I know, I know it's popular to like bash on the guys. Guy or girl, you're a psychopath.
SPEAKER_00No, now it is not blind, and they're gonna come out and be like, wow, I hate you, look ugly, you're not my normal type, you're all of this crazy stuff.
SPEAKER_01And if you're a girl, are you really that naive that one of these guys is your soulmate that's gonna be on this fucking show?
SPEAKER_00And they're they're so shady. They always come out and they're like, oh, well, the recent there's I mean, there's so much with the recent guys, but I feel like they come out and either they have nothing to their name, they are bad people, they come out and people have like allegations against them. They come out and say, Well, you're not my type. The guy that recently was like, Oh, she's a doctor. He's like, Oh, I think I'm like more into the type. Did you see that?
SPEAKER_03I guess that oh that you guys fully cut, are you fully caught up?
SPEAKER_00I haven't watched the newest. I saw the clips of him saying that, but I'm like almost there. He she shows her house. It's a beautiful home. I saw that. It's a beautiful home. He what does he have? No shade. I'd be like, in the things, what is your 401k like? Like, what is your say what's happening in your family life? What do you have you moved a lot recently? What's the last time you got fired and why? What would your last girlfriend say about you? No one's asking these things. Meanwhile, Chris is like, she's a doctor, and he's like, Oh, I really wanted to be with someone who goes to Pilates every day. First off, are you gonna pay for Pilates every day, Chris? Second, we've seen you at the beach, and we also saw her, she was fit. Chris, please don't he's like, I wanna I want somebody that goes to Pilates every day. Meanwhile, she's a surgeon.
SPEAKER_03She was up front about that.
SPEAKER_00Well, and she's got a good body too. Like, outside of that, like it's just dude, if he I think he just wanted a reason for her to break up with him so he could try somebody else, but then that didn't work.
SPEAKER_03Probably like Yeah, I I kind of talk about it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we okay.
SPEAKER_01Everyone on that show is insane. Yeah, it is insane. I don't care.
SPEAKER_00It's insane. I think the first season you could in the first season is also the best season. I think like it's the best. But I think that's the only time you could say, like, maybe we're gonna test this out on the love is blind, but we've seen season after season after season where they meet the person and immediately do a 180.
SPEAKER_03I think it's an influencer incubator now. It is, they know that.
SPEAKER_00I think they're like, Oh, well, I'm gonna go and promote my show. Yeah, or promote myself.
SPEAKER_01I was gonna say I should go, but I can't go on. I'm ready to take in. But I could go on and promote like. Well, some people go on and lie.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's happened before where they're like, well, it's not necessarily love is blind, but people have gone on those dating type shows and they're like, this person is in a relationship before and after, but they just go to promote their businesses. That's insane.
SPEAKER_01That's what I'm saying. The They don't care about it. Everyone there is insane.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. They don't want to find it.
SPEAKER_01Like, even if you're think you're going in good faith, you're insane. Like you actually think your future wife or husband's on that show, like you're fucking crazy. Yeah, like one or two of them are still together.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And like whatever season they're on, like 10. I know. You're in crazy. Dude, it's just a fucking drama. It's a TV show.
SPEAKER_03They do. I respect the producers for that because they're like, it's messy.
SPEAKER_01And then they go, it's funny because they everyone's in everyone falls in love in the pods, and then they fall in love on their fucking honeymoon. And they don't fall in love. It's so easy to get along with somebody when you're at a fucking resort and people are bringing you your food and all you have to worry about is going to the fucking pool. And then I I love, as soon as they go back to their to check out the person's like house, like reality sets in, and they're like, Oh my god, you are like a nasty person. Like you live in squalor. And then like they start asking like real questions. They're like, like, you know, what's your what's your job again? Like, what do you do?
SPEAKER_00How long have you been? And then their family talks to them. The guy, the lawyer dad that talking to that guy that was like clearly lying about everything. He's like, I'm a day trader. Dylan was like, What?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, he he he he said he was a day trader, which is extremely like high risk, volatile. No, almost no one's ever. Well, didn't he say he was doing it in like Australia? Off of day trading trading unless they have insider trader knowledge. Insider knowledge.
SPEAKER_00But then he said he works at a casino.
SPEAKER_01And then he goes, he's not even trading stocks. He's a forex trader, allegedly. That's what he says. He's trading the US Australian currencies, which is like nobody, you know, over you might make money off of that off of a few trades, but over a long period of time, you're not going to make money. You're going to lose.
SPEAKER_00Well, but it doesn't make sense either because I know he said when he was in another country, he was like, Oh, I was like working as a fisher, like doc guy, and then I was working in a casino, and then I was doing like child soccer or whatever.
SPEAKER_01I'm like, But then I also go, I also, you know, I have a little criticism for the women because I go, hey, you fell for it. Like, how I because I don't think they talk about I can see through these people within like five minutes. Like you meet them, you meet, you meet people you come across in life, and you can tell in like five minutes. You're like, oh god, this guy is. You're lying. Yeah. But then like these fucking a lot of the people will fucking fall for it. I think didn't like her fucking dad say like she's bad at picking people? It's kind of like at some point there's some mechanics.
SPEAKER_00Well daddy's like, I'm not worried about this because I'm not gonna get married, or it's gonna he's a lawyer, he's like working on it.
SPEAKER_01If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but I also think that people probably agree to it because it's like, well, we'll be on the show. I'm not gonna get married, we're fine. Like, it's just gonna be a fun thing that I did.
SPEAKER_01But that's that doesn't sound fun, that's just not like you're in.
SPEAKER_00But then you're on, but if they want to be an influencer, they're on the show. They get all these followers, they get eyes, they're doing interviews, they get to go back every year for the reunion. Like, it's a thing. Speaking of love, do we have any unhinged love advice? Yeah, we do.
SPEAKER_01Ah, I love you. Can you someone give me some advice on how to love me? Cope with it.
SPEAKER_00So much. There's too much. There's too much love.
SPEAKER_03Alright, unhinged love spell advice. Oh this one's called Third Date Planned, but he's giving a platonic vibe. So don't go. I've been on two dates with a guy, and he's respectful. Good looking, tall, sociable, a little nerdy, and shy. Totally my type. I've had a lot of fun getting to know him, and I could see myself in a long-term relationship with him if it comes to it. We're both students in our final year of university, so I feel like now isn't a bad time for a relationship. Our first date was a coffee date, and we ended up going for a walk afterwards, and it lasted four hours in total.
SPEAKER_04Cute.
SPEAKER_03Nothing much happened, but we really got along and have a lot in common. He didn't flirt with me much or touch me at all, but he called me cute once, which was nice.
SPEAKER_01Our second hours? If I was around you for four hours and I only touched you once, I'd fucking lose my mind. If I was around you for four hours.
SPEAKER_00It's not like you look beautiful today, anything.
SPEAKER_02Sorry, Miles.
SPEAKER_03That's all good. It's all good. Our second date was a relaxed dinner, and we ended up going for a drink afterwards. Cute. We split the dinner bill, but he bought me one drink. Again, we had a lot to talk about, and our date lasted six hours. The conversations were definitely deeper this time. He didn't flirt much, but we ended up at his place. He complimented my outfit and we had a nice hug at the end, which he initiated.
unknownSorry.
SPEAKER_03That's gonna be a good one. Wait, but you went to his place? I would be like, well anyways. We've been texting regularly every few hours, and I asked if he wanted to do something, and he agreed. So we're going to a museum next week.
SPEAKER_00Cute.
SPEAKER_03He hasn't really flirted with me or touched me much, but maybe that's because he feels shy around me. I haven't initiated any flirting either, but I'm also a bit shy. I was wondering how to escalate things to a bit more flirty on our next date to see if he's actually interested in me or not. Sorry, I almost started. But surely he's in but surely he is into me if he's agreed to see me again. I'm definitely not looking for things to move super quickly, but would like to transition from a sort of platonic hating now to more of a romantic vibe. Basically just wondering how to initiate more flirting and maybe a kiss or a handhold on the next date.
SPEAKER_00I this isn't even we're not doing spell advice on this because I'm not doing spell advice. This is normal life advice.
SPEAKER_01I feel like they're British. She said we're in our last year of university.
SPEAKER_00Here's the thing.
SPEAKER_01Which changes everything.
SPEAKER_00Does it? No. I think like, okay, you could the shy aspect maybe could be one thing, but I feel like even shy people, if they like you, they're gonna flirt with you. Like flirting, people have like a flirtation conversation. Some people are just flirty vibes. Maybe even if he's bad at it, like there could be a thing. By this the second date, I'm not I'm also like I I don't have any problem. Well, I don't know how to say this, like without sounding like a brat. I'm not we're not splitting anything on the first or second date, especially we're grown. Maybe if you're like early 18, 19, 20, you have no money, you're trying to split. I'm just they are. Oh, wait, you're right.
SPEAKER_01It can be very difficult.
SPEAKER_00You've gotta, you know. But like we're not, yeah, we're not doing this. Maybe if it's later on, you guys are gone into but it sounded like they went to she said relax dinner, and then he got me a drink. I'm confused.
SPEAKER_01Sister. Maybe he's just not a physical touch person.
SPEAKER_00I know, but it's just worried.
SPEAKER_01He doesn't, I feel like like uh a lot of guys get a little worried.
SPEAKER_00Yes. First day, but like a handhold, there's nothing like overly physical about holding someone's hand and like giving their hand a little like rub on the we're on our second date, clearly we like each other. Then you you don't have to be making. I feel like also there's it's respectable to be able to not expect him to be like trying to you both kissing each other, whatever. But especially because they are young, they're what 20?
SPEAKER_0122, 21.
SPEAKER_00Max. I mean, I would be straight up. I would be like, before we meet up, I just want to make sure that we're on the same page. Like, I really like you, and I won't I'm not looking to just be making friends with people right now. And if we are on a friend type thing, maybe we should just like meet up during the day and like that be known. You can always like if you open the door for people, I wouldn't like necessarily try to pull out him flirting with you or be physical unless you then have had the conversation. I really like you. I think I would like to date you if this moves forward and we want to do that. Like, let's get out of that zone. But just suss the vibe out first because maybe he could be anxious. But I feel like even anxious people, especially like men, they're gonna like try to touch you a little bit, like a brush of the hair, a little while you're walking through the door, hand on the little back. You know, Dylan is a physical touch person, so maybe that's like I don't know. I'm like, get the f off me. But like it, I feel like it is will be known. Like, it's and if they're not making it known, you let it make you let it be known. Maybe you try initiating touch first, and it doesn't have to be big, just initiating touch first and see how he reacts. But if you're already texting about the third date, I would be open. I think she should send him a cute selfie and see what happens. That's true. What is he but then yeah, because wait, he only said, Oh, you look cute. Yeah, suss it out. I need more than that. Suss it out. Yeah, send it out. What do you think of my outfit today? No, actually, don't ask. Just send something and then see what he says. And if he's like, Oh, hope you're having a good, he has nothing. If he doesn't say anything about your looks, he's just like, hope your day was good, friend zone. Also, I think if he's really interested and he's shy, he'll still find because I feel like, yeah, no, he'll find a way out. He would he would make it clear. There's no spell advice. Because I'm not, especially early on, don't make them like fall in love with you and it's not genuine first. If you need confidence, you can do confidence spells later. What do you think?
SPEAKER_01I don't know. Probably just communicate. Kiss me, bro. Hello?
SPEAKER_00But imagine he says no. He won't. Yeah, that's true. But what if he's not into it?
SPEAKER_03I feel like he's really scared. I feel like he's a really scared guy. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Scaredy?
unknownMm-hmm.
SPEAKER_00That's sad.
SPEAKER_03Well, he can do it.
SPEAKER_00You can he can. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03The third date has happened. We want you to write back to the phone. I know. Let us know what happened to know.
SPEAKER_00And also let him. He can pay for your do you don't you don't have to go to expensive places, but he can pay first and second. How does that happen? You and how would you say that to somebody? Can you split this with me?
SPEAKER_03She might have offered and he might have just not said no. Do not offer just see what happens.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Sit back when that check comes. Especially because I don't think if in Europe, y'all don't have to tip. So just sit back.
SPEAKER_01We're just making up a story about that they're in Europe. They're in like Ohio or something.
SPEAKER_00No, yeah. I don't know, sister. I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_01Right right into a podcast and ask because you just tell him all this stuff, I feel like.
SPEAKER_00They want advice. Why are you like this?
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah, I don't know. I would just we're both like upfront people. I feel like you are both.
SPEAKER_00We are really two on front. I feel like it's like, what are you talking about?
SPEAKER_01You know? And then if they say no, then it's like, okay, well.
SPEAKER_03I want to kind of throw in some idea here. I feel like if they're both shy, it might be hard.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Because it sounds like she's waiting for her first move and she's not the type of girl to be like, I'll just make it fucking happen. I don't care. And he's probably worried about being polite and well, because she's shy, so he's like feeling tension of like And he doesn't probably want to be pushy.
SPEAKER_00If he's if we're giving shy route, he doesn't want to be pushy and weird.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Seen as a creep. So it sounds like there's a misread situation.
SPEAKER_00But then also that's why I feel like if you're nervous to say anything, then that's why the text, if you're texting about the next date, then text it. Hey, I just wanted to suss out the vibes, feel out where we're at. I've I've enjoyed my last two dates with you. You being in his house and he gave you a hug is crazy.
SPEAKER_03I think they both need to nut up or shut up, honestly.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, no, literally. Yeah. Hey.
SPEAKER_01Wait, no, wait. You have to have an oil for this or something.
SPEAKER_00It depends on the vibe that you want. Give a hug and like drop. You don't have to drop it, you just put them on and go. You drop it on the other person. You don't need to do that.
SPEAKER_03You want to lock them in, take a jacket. Make it smell like you.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I know, but like, I mean, you can, but you're I mean I'll do that to you sometimes.
SPEAKER_01Like I'm hugging you on the city. Like, get off.
SPEAKER_00No, my pillow smelled like you're cologne the other night, and I was like, he's so annoying.
SPEAKER_01I didn't do that.
SPEAKER_03You have some kombucha in a spray bottle and just your pillow smelled like my cologne?
SPEAKER_00You I didn't know it was the night that I washed my sheets too. I was like, he's so annoying.
SPEAKER_01I didn't do that.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_01You did that. You must have done that.
SPEAKER_00Why would I spray your cologne on my cologne? You were right next to me. We do live together. So unfortunately, we'll see how let us know what's the next tea. Like, please. I do like you in England. No, yeah. I was like, I think I am too upfront because I feel like we weren't even dating or really talking like the first time we hung out. And I was like, why is he sitting on the couch away from me? And now I think I tried to take half him. This is so embarrassing. I was like, he he asked me to cut his hair or something. And I was like, oh yeah, I can I could get you a haircut. Why I can get you a haircut? Why you thought I don't know how this ended up playing? I did a good job. I did a good job. But I was like, oh well, he can't get the your hair all over. Like we were inside. I was like trying to get him to take his shirt off because I wanted to see. And he we left his shirt on. I was like, what the hell? And then we watched a movie like hours later. And I the way that my room was set up, I had like a really big room, and I had like a futon at the edge of my bed, and he was sitting on the futon instead of sitting with me on my bed. I was like, What the f like what a friend was there too? She was. We had a foreign exchange student that was staying at our house. We could have just been hanging out on, I don't know. In my mind, I was like, what is he doing? But that's how straightforward I am. I'm like, what do you mean? Take your shirt off. Literally, like, um I was a minor and you were so we were both seniors in high school.
SPEAKER_01I was 17 and you were an adult. Oh my god, I took advantage.
SPEAKER_00We were both in high school.
SPEAKER_01I was probably scared.
SPEAKER_00Right. Mm-hmm. Terrified.
SPEAKER_01She hates when I bring that up.
SPEAKER_00Because you make me sound like some sort of creep. Predator, predatorizing on you.
SPEAKER_01I love you.
SPEAKER_03Vibe changed after asking me to be his Valentine. I've been dating a guy I met on Hinge for about seven weeks. The connection has been very strong emotionally and physically. Although we're not exclusive, he's expressed serious interest in me. Our dates usually are very long. We've had future-oriented conversations, said very sweet things to each other, and we're clearly really into each other. We've tried to slow things down because the connection escalated quickly, but it hasn't been easy. On our most recent date, he asked me to be his Valentine. The issue came up the next day. While texting normally, he suddenly asked if the vibes had changed on my end. I was confused since I felt things were going well. On the date, he mentioned I seemed a bit off, which I didn't agree with, but I explained I was stressed about from work and my pick.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_03After his text, I tried to call to clarify, but he was busy and didn't call back. I'm an anxious person and struggle when I can't reach someone. He continued responding to texts but ignored my calls. I still want to talk through it, and I ended up spiraling with too many texts and calls. Yeah. No, because then it's too much. We had plans to meet the next day, but he didn't respond all day despite my attempts to reach him. I eventually assumed he didn't want to see me anymore and sent a long text apologizing and explaining myself. No later responded saying that he froze because he felt overwhelmed and didn't know how to respond responsibly. He said he cares deeply about me, but isn't sure he can give me the reassurance, availability, or clarity I deserve right now.
SPEAKER_00You know.
SPEAKER_03He said he doesn't want to keep me in a painful limbo. I can't help but feel like I ruined things, but I also struggle with how someone who cares about me could go quiet while I was clear clearly distressed. Yeah. Is there something that's fixable? At what point do you walk away?
SPEAKER_00I would just walk away because here's the thing you guys have two different attachment styles. And if somebody he said it straightforward. If he's not gonna get you would reassure me to the end of times, you'd be annoyed, but you would reassure me. You'd be like, you're fine, it needs to be calm the fuck down. Like if I'm on one, he's gonna reassure me. And that was like at any point, whether you know you're doing it or not, like you do just either are like the type to equip with certain or you're the type that either is equipped to deal with certain things or is not. And I feel like he straight up said that he's not gonna be giving reassurance, he was overwhelmed and whatever. And while you can always deal with your own attachment styles, and I think in the future, be like, I don't need to call right now. Maybe text your friends. You're like, if you feel like you need to get some things out, call your friends and like vent to them because they're gonna be the ones that can hear it over and over and over again. But sometimes a man or boy or whomever, even a girl at the beginning stages of your relationship, it is a lot to like deal with like an onslaught of things, and like in some people's minds, if the you he asked you a question, you said he I'm fine, you're fine, we're good. He's like, Okay, well, we're chill. I said what I need to say, you said we're fine. It's water over the bridge, we're under the bridge. Um, but it does suck, but I do think also I don't understand that let's go back to the beginning. I asked you to be my Valentine's, but we're not exclusive. What the fuck does that mean? You know my Valentine for one day, but then we're not exclusive. No. What does that mean? No, I'm not playing with him. Don't play with him either. It does suck. I would say in the future, if somebody asks you a straightforward question, they might just be more straightforward because I feel like Dylan's that way.
SPEAKER_01Like, yeah, most of the guys I know are like that.
SPEAKER_00They're like, let me check in.
SPEAKER_01He checked in, and then like most of the guys I know, if they've been talking to a girl for like seven weeks, they're not trying to deal with a flood of emotions.
SPEAKER_00Well, and I feel like they just check out.
SPEAKER_01They're like, dude, I can't do this every day for the rest of my life.
SPEAKER_00It's not every day. Or I mean, if I had a flood of emotion every day for the rest of your life, you would deal with it. But you did it didn't, it's not at the beginning. It's once you've had the can be.
SPEAKER_01But most guys, you gotta understand, most guys when they're young, they're not thinking about that. They're just thinking, like, oh, dude, she's gonna be like this. I'm I'm not doing this.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. But also, I think he framed it well saying, like, I'm not sure if I can give you the reassurance you need. And while I feel like sometimes it's okay to ask for reassurance, I think like if it's the same thing over and over, it can be like cumbersome. Um, and I think that's where it's like talking with your friends or family first, can get some of that, like not riff-raff, but some of that emotion that's like weighing on you first out, and they can see it from a different perspective without having to put that on another person because he's already said, like, oh, well, we're cool. So I do also think like self-worth or self-work were I can't do it. Self-worth work is good because then like you know what's good, you know your attachment styles, like you're okay. Well, I've explained myself, and you just sit in your explanation, you're fine, and you don't over-explain and overdo and overextend. You just like you're done. But I feel like that also comes with time getting to know yourself better. I think this is a good learning lesson for both him and you. One, if somebody asks you to be their Valentine, you're locked in. And if he wants to be weird about it, no.
SPEAKER_03Um also ask, like, so this means we're exclusive, right?
SPEAKER_00That's what that means. Yeah, hello?
SPEAKER_03Well, just to clarify, so they know what they did. That's all I'm saying.
SPEAKER_00I'm sorry, that sucks. That's pretty serious. Yeah, and then how do you go back from that later? He still asked me to be my Valentine's now. And we're engaged. You know? As he showed, I was literally like, you're not gonna ask? What's the T? I think that was like in January. I was like, You haven't asked me to be your Valentine's. He's like, it's not even February yet.
SPEAKER_03Gigi did that to me. She's like, You didn't ask Molly. When did you it was like late January? I was like, it's this time.
SPEAKER_01I feel like I need to ask now for like next year. You have to ask a little closer.
SPEAKER_03I was like, is there competition? Is someone else gonna ask? You never on like February 15th.
SPEAKER_01I need to ask for like next year. Because they're already asking you, like, why haven't you asked?
SPEAKER_00Why haven't you asked? What's going on?
SPEAKER_01I'll just get ahead of this.
SPEAKER_00And you know what? There was something like there's no shade. I saw this video, there's like this lady who's in a more traditional relationship. She was talking about how she doesn't get her husband anything for Valentine's Day, and we kind of talked about that because he like got me a really huh? Her name's can't remember. Yeah, Tommy. But Dylan got me like a really nice new ring, and we went to dinner and everything, and I really didn't get him anything other than my love. Um, babe.
SPEAKER_01I don't ask for anything.
SPEAKER_00And so I'm like, oops.
SPEAKER_01Literally, the only thing I've asked you is that you try my kombucha. That's all. I tried it on the book. That's all I've asked.
SPEAKER_00He did. And you had some. I made your cookies. Yeah, thank you. But yeah, I don't, I'm like so glad that he doesn't expect me to do the same because I'd be like, I'm just trying to get you to do like weird stuff.
SPEAKER_01I know. I'm like, I made this fermented tea. Will you drink it?
SPEAKER_00You bring like random things to me and you're like, have this. I'm like, what is that? Like literally, what is that? Or he makes something weird and I'm like, oh my god. So it's trying to do it. I'm sorry, sister. Yeah, try to work on your attachment styles, and I mean that like kindly, but also don't over yo, if someone's not answering one or two texts, cut the cameras. I think in all things, cut the cameras. Because the flood of texts is a lot. Because also, think about it. What if he was at the gym? What if he's at work? What if he's in a meeting? You're like, whoa. And they get progressively more anxious. You know, I get it, but please step back.
SPEAKER_01Wish you well. We wish you well.
SPEAKER_00We do, and honestly, you'll find somebody that will reassure you. That's the thing. I do think like working on the different types of reassurement, like because if it's got the same thing over and over again.
SPEAKER_01I know, it's so hard. I wish I knew the people who are asking. Because a lot of the times you just you'll find these people might be like 20 years old. Yeah. I'm just like, oh, dude, who cares? Like they'll find somebody. Yeah. I'm not worried.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Like the guys I work with, they're all like the youngest one's like 20, and then they go up to like 25. And I'm like, dude, you'll figure it out.
SPEAKER_00No, and you will.
SPEAKER_01That's how it is for most people, right? Like it's a lot of trial hinge dating shit for a long time. And then you eventually meet the right person.
SPEAKER_00Paulina found her man on a um dating uh site and they just got engaged.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00We love to see it. It works.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, go ask her what she what she did.
SPEAKER_00She and she went on a first date. This is what I want, and this is my expectations. And if you're not him, get out of the way. She would literally get out of the way for my husband and look what she found. Thank you. It works. Leg it out. Say what you need, what you're gonna expect and not.
SPEAKER_03She was like wasting everyone's time.
SPEAKER_00No, don't.
SPEAKER_03Yours or theirs.
SPEAKER_00Nope. And there's expectations set.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00With that, have high expectations for yourself and others. You can rise to them. If other people fall, that's okay. They just don't need to be around you.
SPEAKER_01Be the best version of yourself.
SPEAKER_00Strive to be.
SPEAKER_01Strive to be.
SPEAKER_00I don't think I'm my best version every day, but you strive to be.
SPEAKER_01You're not?
SPEAKER_00No.
SPEAKER_01Really?
SPEAKER_00No, I don't think so. Sometimes I'm confused. Where am I? Where is she?
SPEAKER_01I'm pretty steady.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you're like, no, his emotional.
SPEAKER_01I'm a bad version of myself most days. I'm steadily average.
SPEAKER_00It's very but you know what you're gonna get though. It's every day Dylan's the solid. Dylan.
SPEAKER_01I'm trying.
unknownBeep.
SPEAKER_01I love doing these. I don't get to grasp your full attention. That is such a lie.
SPEAKER_00We go home and I'm just at here.
SPEAKER_01You're always doing something. Well, you're always so distracted.
SPEAKER_03I'm gonna start setting this up and just walking, leaving out the room. Bye, have fun. See you later.
SPEAKER_02This is for Dylan. Do it, man.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, these podcast episodes are just for Dylan.
SPEAKER_01This is just my elaborate way to get one-on-one time with you. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_00Well, I love you. Thank you for being here for episode 15.
SPEAKER_0116.
SPEAKER_00Sorry, for uh thank you for being here for episode 16.
SPEAKER_01Thank you. It was great. I love doing these. I think the crowd likes me. My videos are like they have the best views. I think. My podcast episodes always get a ton of views.
SPEAKER_00You want to pose for a thumbnail?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, what should we do? Sip the kombucha? Go ahead.
