Men's Morning Devotional
Men who stand strong prepare before the battle begins - so take a few minutes every morning to get into the Word before you face the world. Every weekday, the Men's Morning Devotional challenges and encourages men with Biblical lessons that speak to the pressures they carry as husbands, fathers, and leaders. Hosted by Steve Alessi, a pastor with over 40 years of ministry experience, along with his four sons and sons-in-law, you’ll get truth you can take straight into your day. We’re here every weekday morning so make sure you follow and subscribe. Don’t let a single morning go by without putting on your armor. This is a perfectly timed, short Bible study for Christian men, so you can spend some quiet time with God and prepare for the challenges life brings you every day. Let’s get into God’s Word. It’s time to man up.

Drink From Your Own Well
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Why does a man end up thirsty at someone else's well? It's rarely because temptation was too strong. More often, it's because he stopped tending his own.
After two days of what to run from, Christian now examines what Solomon tells his son to run to: his own cistern, his own well. In the ancient world, a well wasn't a luxury. It was a man's survival, his provision, his protection, his portion. And a well split with the whole town runs dry for everybody. That's the picture of marriage Solomon paints: Not restriction, but provision.
God didn't give you a wife to limit you. He gave her to you as a well that will never run dry if you tend it and never wander from it. But a well left unattended doesn't stay clean on its own. It has to be drawn from, maintained, and valued. A man who neglects his own well and then wonders why he's thirsty somewhere else isn't a victim of temptation. He's reaping his own neglect. You don't drift into faithfulness. You draw from your own well on purpose, every single day.
Verse of the Day: Proverbs 5:15–16
Your Daily Man-Up Challenge
Do one deliberate thing today to draw from your own well instead of neglecting it. Married? Call your wife and tell her one specific thing you're grateful for about her. Single? Ask God to build in you the kind of character that will tend a well well.
