Hello and welcome back. If you're grieving today and you're looking over the year that's coming up ahead, it's a fresh year, it's a new year, but your loved one just died. I want you to know that it's okay. If you can't look beyond today, if you can't look into the coming year and have any feeling, any excitement, just anything. If you're in that fresh grief where everything is numb and foggy and very, very painful, know that it's okay. Just take care of today. Be in your grief. Do what you need to do to keep your head above the tide. But don't be concerned about the year, the month, even the week.
SPEAKER_01:Just know that I'm holding space for you. Just do what you can do.
SPEAKER_00:And if it's just to cry, that's okay. That's okay. These first days, these first weeks, don't worry. Don't think on anything that anyone has said to you during the visitation or the funeral or the service, the celebration of life, whatever you had, whatever you held for your loved one. Because I am sure there may have been comments that were not helpful. Don't let those consume any space in your mind. You just work on you, you work on today, and you don't look ahead.
SPEAKER_01:This is the Caring Death Doula, and I am here for you.
