A month without beer? For three people who spend most of their time talking about pubs and craft beer, that was always going to be a challenge.

This week I'm joined by Dwayne from Build & Brew and Disco Dave as we reflect on taking on Dry July together as part of the Frothy Moco crew.

We chat about how our relationship with beer changed over the month, the hardest moments of giving up alcohol, the surprising quality of today's non alcoholic beers, and why sometimes it's never really about the beer, it's about what is happening around it.

Welcome to Channel Tap, the show about pubs, the people in them, and what happens around the table when we're all having a beer, except that this month we are dry for dry July. It's all uh part of the frothy moco, and this episode is hitting up a couple of the lads that are part of that team. Uh, one in particular that was pretty pretty fundamental in getting the thing together, and another man that geez, you just want to have a beer with. Uh, let me introduce you to Dwayne from Build and Briller and Disco Dave. Dwayne and Dave, how are you boys? Thanks for joining us.

How are you? Superb. We have been doing Dry July together. We were the only three from the Frothy Moco that put our hands up on this ridiculous challenge. Um it's been for a great cause. And so uh when this goes out, I think there will be about 24 hours left to donate. So all of that information will be in the show notes. Um but Dwayne, let's start with you. What's your what's your origin story for Kraft Beer?

Kraft beer. I mean, I guess like anybody probably grew up uh drinking all your standard, you know, pub beers, as you can imagine. And I think uh I had a mate that drank sort of pale ale, uh, probably Cooper's, I would say. And uh that was sort of my first sort of you know beer, and then I started to really like that. Then sort of went into the whatever was cheapest at the bottle shop pale ale, uh, which then sort of led me into oh maybe I'll try some of these more expensive ones and um really got a taste for them and uh just hated how much they cost. So then decided, you know what, I'm gonna start brewing my own. And uh I guess, like any brewer, started with your extract kits and they were terrible and didn't really even taste like beer. And uh, you know, now brewing really good beer. So I mean that's sort of you know my craft beer story, I guess. Uh and you know, I I love drinking all the other breweries beers as well. So how often are you sort of putting down a brew? Uh it depends. Uh you know, I've got uh I've got four full or almost full 20-litre kegs in the keys at the moment. So at the moment I don't need a brew for a while. But um, you know, we've got the Wollongong Home Brewers uh club as well, so we sort of try and brew once a month at least. Um sometimes I'm brewing you know once every couple of weeks, so it just depends, mate.

Yeah, nice. And Disco Dave from Disco Dave Beer. I mean, I first came across you wearing some ridiculous outfit at Gabs, but when it how how did this whole journey start for you?

SPEAKER_00 2:42

Mate, mate, it's been a it's been a journey, I'll tell you what. So I think I'd be I'd think I'd be remiss if I didn't mention my dad when I talk about my craft beer journey. Only because my brother is annoyed at me every time I don't mention him. Um he's he's a he's be you know, he he's a big beer drinker, uh my dad. So I just you know, growing up I would just sort of, you know, the old uh sip of the two's red I used to used to sneak um off of him. So, you know, I liked beer early on. Um started on the two's extra dries uh when I was 16, 17, going to parties. But um then I think there was one night Michael's birthday, I I'd had like 14 Tuies new and I remember throwing up on the way home. And then I was off beer for like a good eight years after that. Um and then it was you know, it wasn't until a trip to Germany where I, you know, was like, oh, you know, while in while in Germany, you know, you gotta have a you gotta have beer. So um, yeah, I just started drinking it again, and I'm like, oh man, like this is like I've been missing out here. Um yeah, and then got into craft beer through a through a mate, and um yeah, he was into mountain culture, and so I got into the um mountain culture beers for a bit. They so in lockdown they were doing like uh virtual tastings. Um so I would buy like the $50 four-pack, they'd send it to you, and there'd be a Zoom link to get online and and connect with the brewer. And um, you know, the way where Disco Dave come about was um during lockdown, it was it was part of those virtual tastings, but just before that virtual tasting, I had a mate's birthday um and you know, she was DJing and I had the disco lights on um like this.

Yeah, um so yeah, turn the disco lights on, and um, you know, the next the the mountain culture virtual taste and I connected and uh my name was still disco day from that party, and I I went to change it and I'm like, oh no, I'm gonna go get the disco lights now. So um yeah. Got the disco lights and the there's a you know, I saw a few messages in the chat. Who's this bloke with the disco lights? Um you know, and um Yeah, I just sort of was drinking beers and um all different types. I thought, oh well, I don't really have a a method of of sharing these beers, and I knew there was an Instagram community online, so I just started an account and you know, rest is history.

I've found your whole thing is it's just about bringing the fun to having a beer, right? Like because some people take the tasting, can take it a little bit too seriously or you know, get get too minute in the details, but you're just like, hey, let's just make this a party.

Yeah, exactly. Yeah, let's have fun doing it.

And that's how you became uh Australia's biggest beer fan, which is a real title.

It is, it's a it's an official title, actually. Yeah, so um, you know, you're referring to the the birvana competition that I won. Um yeah, a couple months ago I saw birvana had a we're looking for the Australia's biggest beer fan, posted out a competition. And to be honest, when I saw it, I was you know, I was always gonna enter, but I didn't have an idea yet. Um I was just gonna chop up some clips of me dancing at Gabs, you know, all the different Gabs in in light up shoes. Um and I thought maybe that could have been enough to win. But um, you know, I think one night in the shower I thought, okay, um, you know, what could I do? And then I the the image of me swinging a beer around, like a a literal fan came into my mind. And I'm like, okay, that's a pretty good idea. Um, and then I thought about the narrative around that. Uh then I thought, okay, what happens, what happens after you swing a beer around? It's gonna be it's gonna be pretty shaken up, right? And so then the image of like a beer sort of exploding everywhere coming to my head, and you know, and that's where Max came in and helped film it. He was the he was the poor guy with the with the exploded beer in the end. But yeah, the submitted that to Biovano, they loved it so much and they they picked it, yeah.

So what's involved in the trip? Um, because I will just say, uh like everyone, yeah, super jealous. When I saw it, I would have entered, but it was right around the time that I am about to enter parenthood, so I thought best that I don't enter on I mean, and I would have not stood a chance next to you anyway, now that I've seen your entry. But um, but yeah, tell everyone what what is involved.

Yeah, so it's like a six and a half grand package. Um, so it's um if anyone doesn't know Birvana, it's it's it's like New Zealand's biggest beer festival. Um it's it's like 60 plus breweries, hundreds of different beers. Um, even international breweries are there as well. Um it's around the outside of of uh Henry Stadium. It's like a massive, it's a massive stadium, it's like a giant circle just full of different breweries. It's a trip, accommodation, uh, entry into all four sessions at Beervana. Um there's also some brewery tours involved as well. Um and yeah, it's uh with a mate, of course. Yeah, so I'm taking Max with me. He's you know, he's a good mate of mine, helped me help me film the video, but also, you know, um we connected over over craft beer, um, you know, just through in local uh local breweries. So, you know, he's a good person to take.

Have they made it a stipulation that you wear the uh the outfit while you're there? Yeah, um they have.

Um so look, um I'm probably I'm thinking I will wear that on the Friday. I'm not gonna wear that for the full four sessions, but I think the Friday. Well, I'll see how I go. I think it's uh even though it's like it's coming out of winter, right? But it's still it's still gonna be freezing cold. Wear some thermals underneath? I could put thermals on underneath. That's a good shout, actually.

You don't really want to be that dickhead from another country wearing you know, you're in New Zealand wearing an Australian flag. I imagine you'll open yourself up to a bit of stick for that.

Oh look, I think at least at least for one day I'll do it. A bit of fun, you know. The only problem is um, you know, the bathroom situation. I've got to work out how I'm gonna do that. Um yeah, and drinking a lot of beers. You can throw a zipper in there, mate. There there is a zipper, um, but I can't I can't do it up myself.

So I'll um Honestly, if you if you if I was in Max's position and you said, hey, I've got a I've got a six and a half thousand dollar package that you can be a part of, and that's before we're talking about the trip. Um I would be your zipper guy.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I've already I'd be your toilet guy. Yeah, tea teed max up to be the zipper guy.

Please get that video so that's really tagged. Um all right, so obviously the whole point of this episode was we the fact that we did draw July together. We came together because of beer and then took a month together to not have beer. Um this is all part of the Froffy Moko. Dwayne, you were I mean, Max, who we were just talking about, has been very instrumental in the ongoing maintenance at Beers to the Max. Give him a shout-out. But Dwayne, talk tell us a bit and the audience a bit more about the Froffi Moko, which I've spoken about at length, I suppose, but um, you know, from another perspective of someone in the weeds there of what it's all about.

Yeah, and I mean I guess how it started, like I've always, well not always, but regularly done Movember, you know, since my early 20s. Um, you know, every few years or something like that. And um, you know, after sort of getting to know Dave and Max and George and some of the guys from down here and you know, Bevan and some of the other craft beer guys, you know, I just sort of put it out to them and said, Hey, does anybody want to do Movember this year? And um, you know, quite a few of you sort of came back and went, Yeah, yeah, sweet, keen to do that. And then um that's sort of how the frothy moco started, I guess. We uh had to come up with a name, so seemed like a uh pretty good pretty good name. And um sort of yeah, reached out to a bunch of other craft beer Instagram guys and you know, seen who else wanted to uh you know tag along as well.

I suppose because every all of these guys were um, you know, posting real fairly regularly, usually about beer, it just kind of weaved in a good message of sitting around having a beer chat to your mate. I think it was nice as well to see in the even in that group chat was you guys. I mean, I only met you guys in the flip or Dave, I'd met you before, but I don't think we toppling each other. But Dwayne, I only met you in real life, you know, a week and a half ago. Yeah. Which is really great about this community.

But I kind of felt like I already knew you.

SPEAKER_02 11:33

Yeah, and I think because of because of that group chat, because we could see people immediately kind of getting in for what it was and like, oh yeah, like this, let's have a proper chat. Like it's if it's it felt like it's yes, a lot of the chat is about beer, but it's also like, hey, let's just skip the weather chat, let's just get into real stuff.

Yeah, and I think we've um you know it's been great to sort of connect with guys like yourself as well through this and and have these conversations that we probably wouldn't have had, you know, without it as well.

SPEAKER_02 12:03

Yeah, I think so. So we moved to dry July and um Dave, I've been saving this upon upon your recommendation. Um tonight I'm having the non-alcoholic Tiny But Mighty, the Garage Project Stout. Um I felt like that was in theme with the frothy mo because a lot of you know a stout makes for a good good frothy mo. Um but dry July is what we have been doing. Um I'll go to the very first listener question that we had, uh, which was uh I guess kind of sums up our experience. What has been the easiest and hardest thing about Dry July? What have you found, disco?

SPEAKER_00 12:39

Yeah, look, um I think it's ebbed and flowed for me. So I've I've had periods of of where it's been easy and periods where it's been hard. So I think at the at the start, I actually thought, uh, I'm not I'm gonna try it without non-aux, but um I think it was day day three, I sort of scrapped that idea. You know, because I think it was more, you know, the ritual, the ritual of having beers um, you know, was uh was was lacking there. So, you know, to get to get start drinking a non-aux, I that's what I wanted to do. So uh it's been hard where uh as my fridge has got fuller, it's been harder, I would say as well. So um, you know, at the start wasn't too bad because uh in the lead up, I was I was um drinking almost every night, a couple beers a night, just because I knew I had to get that that fridge down. Um so um, but lately I've been buying a lot, so it's been you know, I'm overflowing into the main fridge now. So um, you know, it's good that uh good that it's uh officially ending soon. Um but yeah, I it was actually and I I don't want to get too deep here, but um it was my uncle's uh birthday on Sunday to and he passed away last year and he actually lives next door to me. And um I was in his garage on Sunday and I I just felt like like I wanted to have a beer, you know, because that's what that that like when when he was alive, you know, I you know we we had you know we we bonded over craft beer when I when I moved in next door and you know it was quite often that I was over there or he was over here and we were sharing beers together. So you know, when I was in his garage on Sunday, um yeah, it was uh I did think about having a beer, but you know, I resisted. So yeah, that was that was pretty hard. But then, you know, um my brother's coming uh in two weeks' time and he said we'll have a beer in there together. So yeah, yeah, so that'll be good.

Yeah, that and and yeah, great. I mean, yeah, nice, nice, terrible, I don't know which what the word is, it's probably all the feels all at once story to share because that is I think I think in all of our cases, right? It's what brings us what brings us together to sit down and have a beer and have a chat and then you know to to be able to honour that exact moment and then and not do it, I can imagine would be because even then it's not even about the the alcohol at that stage, right? It's the it's the like you said, the ritual or whatever. So yeah, I can understand how that would have been mixed. What about um what about you, Dwayne? The the easiest and hardest bits?

SPEAKER_01 15:20

Well, I guess the easiest bit has been sort of uh the later end of the month. Um I'm not finding it hard at all anymore. Uh and I guess the start of the month, you know, was quite hard. And and like we sort of you both sort of touched on, the ritual thing I found was the hardest. Uh especially at the start. Um just that sort of cracking a beer, having a beer, you know, having a beer at the same time, sort of every Avo, you know, or your your nightly routine, stuff like that, that those things were the hardest, uh, especially at the start of the month. I think uh as the alcohol leaves your system and and that sort of you break the ritual a little bit, um, it definitely becomes easier. And um, like we've touched on in the in our group chats and stuff like that, like feel like we could, you know, just do it forever, really, if we wanted to, but I think we all love beer too much to uh you know do that.

Well that yeah, the next question here was um there was actually two, but I kind of feel like they all lead into this conversation. They were what changes have you noticed mentally, physically with the challenge? And what will you sort of take with that going forward? And I think for me, like that was you, as I think that I I it was certainly I think overall easier than I thought it was gonna be. I think it's easier to go, I'm not doing I'm not having a beer for the whole month than it is to go, I'm just gonna try and not drink this week. Like a line in the sand, I think made it made it easier. But the same thing. I had the same the same thought of like, could I just keep going with this? And the answer is probably yes, but I also know that I like if the sun's out, I'm like, geez, it just would be nice to stop by one. You know, and I like I've thought about that a couple of times this month, and I'm like, it's just not gonna be the same with a Coca-Cola or a soda water or so I think I would miss that part, like sitting in the venue and the kind of the de-stress. But the actual it's been good because I think I have gone, it's made me rethink or revalue what a beer means, and like we're all beer beer nerds. So it's like I think the beer I'm looking forward to next is more like, oh, I really want to try that. It's not it's not like I want to have the five beers on a Friday afternoon and then maybe a bottle of wine and who knows, maybe whiskey after that. It's like I really want to just go to that brewery and try a couple of their range, and that's all. So I think that's been good. The the experience which has been good because I think it's I I think I thought I was going to be like craving it all day, but like I think like you said, after a few days it was like Okay.

Yeah, yeah, for sure.

Would you ever consider going completely dry? Was another question.

SPEAKER_01 18:11

Yes. No. I don't know, it's a it's it's a it's a tough question, right? Like my um my mum um she is has given up alcohol and um has been sober for I don't know, I think a few years now. And I I don't feel like I'd ever just fully give it up. Like I'd I'd be quite happy to drink a lot less. Uh and I think, you know, after this, especially for a while, I'll I'll definitely be drinking less. Um but I just love a beer too much. Like I think you know, uh ha like you say, just you know, hanging out with your mates on a sunny day, cracking a tinny or whatever, you know, down the pub. Yeah, it's just not the same without a beer, I don't think.

Dave? No, not at all. Nah, I don't think I could. I think I think I'll drink I think uh I can drink less from this, you know, from this experience. Um but yeah, it'll be tough to give up for good.

Yeah, I I don't I reckon I could I reckon I could incorporate a few more non-alks. I think is is certainly what I would take away from it.

What was your favourite?

SPEAKER_02 19:23

I'll tell you what, this is tiny but mighty, it's pretty good. It definitely looks nice in the glass. It's got a nice body on there. Um The Heaps Normal XPA, I think, is probably the go-to. Like that I could have a couple of like I would if I was watching the footy or something. And I think the German lagers also surprise me. What about you boys?

SPEAKER_01 19:44

So I I never used to like the non-AULKS, and I think that was kind of like me loving beer too much, and then you know, had one like I tried that Heaps Normal XPA a couple of years ago, and I thought it was terrible. But all the non-AULKs that I've had over this month, not that I've had a lot, but I found they're all good. Like they're not I didn't find one that was terrible, and even the heaps normal ones I've definitely changed my opinion on. So yeah, but I definitely think um everybody sort of, and I mean it's it's the same with all beer, right? But everybody's definitely got more of a their own opinion, I feel like, with the non-alks. Like Max did uh No Boo's June, uh, and some of the ones that he said were, you know, really good, you know, I I didn't rate, and I think I think it's been vice versa with a lot of them. Uh and the one that I probably like the most, which I'd never heard of until I'd seen it in Dan's, is this uh hiatus beer. And the thing I liked about it the most is being somebody that likes you know hop forward beers and stuff like that, this one sort of really hit the mark and they put um like terpenes, like uh natural flavourings in them. This one had like a passion fruit one, and um I really think that's what a lot of these hoppy non-alks lack is a bit of that you know where you get from the the alcoholic uh what versions, you get that more fruit flavour sort of from the hops and stuff, where you really don't get them that sort of same flavor in the non-alks. And I really think these natural flavourings that this one had in it, well I assume it has in it because it doesn't say that it does. But um yeah, I think that that's could be a real hit for some of these uh non-alks to boost their flavour.

Guinness Zero. Um I know Dwayne you weren't a fan. Um but it's it's probably um I I would say it's my second favourite. I've got my favourite here as well, just to to show off.

But he's going the um going the hard pool, which is um in the hawkers. I even I went to a I had one at the Mercantile at the Irish pub and that's even how the um the the person behind the bar did that pour as well. So you you've the Irish approve.

Somebody on Instagram gave me shit uh for doing a Guinness pour that way out of the can uh a while back, but anyway.

And what was your what was then your favorite?

SPEAKER_00 22:33

Yes, uh so it's the tiny but mighty No Regrets Hazy IPA this one. So I think a lot of the non-ALCS lacked a bit of flavor for me, like a lot of them. Um but I feel like that the tiny range from Garage Project, they they tried to pack as much flavour in as they could. Um and that one, like to be honest, if I do this again, I could just buy 24 of these and 24, you know, Guinness Zeros, and I'd be sweet, I'd be set, you know, like for the whole time.

Wayne, from a brewing perspective, you may not be know the answer to this, I'm not sure, but I think what I've found is the breweries that brew the beer normally and then extract the alcohol tend to do best. The ones that brew just to be not out from the beginning, I feel have this like weird fruit ruby sweet taste afterwards. Would you is that does that ring true?

SPEAKER_01 23:26

Yeah, non-alks are a hard beer to uh brew, and even low, low elks are quite hard to brew. Uh I tried to brew like a 2% sort of um pale ale or something like that, and uh yeah, really struggled uh to do that.

What what is the challenge?

SPEAKER_01 23:45

Well you gotta you gotta mash at really high temperatures, uh, and then I I used a yeast uh called Windsor that wasn't supposed to ferment some of the sugars, and I don't know exactly what happened, um, but it it over fermented and then yeah, just became like a three and a half or four percent beer in the end when I was aiming for two percent. So uh but yeah, like I I definitely agree with you with like the lagers, and I know you sort of touched on the wine Stefana uh brewery uh with their beers, and I went and tried the Hellas, and to me that just tasted like what a Heller's should taste like. Um just you can just taste that it didn't have any alcohol in it, you know. Like it yeah. That was also I went enjoyed that one.

Um Dave is holding one right there.

Yeah, I got one here. Yeah. That's a Hefe Weisson. This is probably my third favourite. This is recommended by you, Dave. Uh, so that was a good one.

That was the one that surprised me. I and I wouldn't have ever picked it, usually, because uh it was only recently that I had got back into that kind of style of the full alcoholic beer and had met the people from Vine Stefano absolutely biased there on that case and that the local bottle shop had one, so I was like, Oh, I'll I'll I'll give it a go. Just support that little brewery, this up and coming brewery. That's only like what a thousand years old or something. Um but yeah, it was very it was very good. Um, Dave, did you have something to table?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. So um uh I had a question for you guys. What beer are you most looking forward to having August 1st?

SPEAKER_01 25:26

I didn't have a beer that I was really looking forward to that I could think of straight off the top of my head, but I do have the black box uh from Tarwan Sellers that I did try a couple before July just to uh not feel left out before we journey. Um so yeah, really looking forward to getting into some of those.

Um so what is the black box? Sorry for those that don't know.

SPEAKER_01 25:55

Uh I think like Dave probably knows better than I do, but Carwin Sellers every year every two years maybe uh release 12 beers. It's kind of like Christmas in July. Uh they get you know 12 different breweries to do their best black beer, and you know, it can be anywhere from an Imperial stout to uh I seen one that Max put up the other night, which was like uh a stout with wine uh with grapes in it or something, like wine grapes. So yeah, some real interesting stuff going on there.

Yeah, real strong beers in that too, because it's like I think the average ABV is like 10 plus percent. Yeah, so it's having a 10% beer every night.

SPEAKER_01 26:36

Yeah, yeah. What one beer a night, not uh multiple beers a night.

SPEAKER_02 26:42

Um I've got two and they came from the same box. Um and it's just because it was a beer club that came along. Um and it's an homage to uh to Chuck and Sons, who really did kind of start my content journey for me by putting me on their um on their panel. But as I was just saying, I've only just kind of recently got back into that German European style. And Chuck and Sons have released a super pilsner, so it's um like their normal Pilsner, but it's uh it's about six percent ABV. Uh I think I'm not actually sure what the difference is. Um I think it's just that it's leveled up extra no extra mol extra noble hops is extra dry hot. And the other one is that they've also released a um a gold lager, which is like a kind of uh a Vienna style drink. But that those are really the only beers that have come into my house. And I have I pretty well drank the fridge dry. So I mean I'm really just going on what is in my fridge, but they're both beers I've never had before. So at home I'm keen to have those. Otherwise, just something fresh out of a tap will do me.

Moving forward, obviously, we again we've this is all about the Froffy Mo. We did November last year, we talked about that, we did try July. I guess we'll be doing Movember again this year. Um Duane, any thoughts on what's coming up for the Froffy Mo Cat?

Uh yeah, definitely November. Um we are in sort of talks amongst the group about uh sort of doing a bit of a rebrand and maybe getting some shirts uh made up.

Lovely. Yeah, so so that and obviously Movember. Uh and I'd like to sort of put it out there to anybody else that wants to uh jump on board with us that's looking to give back to the community um, you know, in in the way of Movember or other charities that we kind of been working with. And you know, if you are keen to do stuff like that, like hit us up, um, any one of us, or hit up the Froffy Moko page and um yeah, join in. Disco, any thoughts?

Yeah, look, I'm keen I'm keen to get back into it. So um I was really proud of what we were able to raise for Movember last year. I think it was six and a half grand in the end. Um, and we had a lot of uh different breweries that were, you know, wanted to get involved and either donated money or or donated beer to the cause. And um, you know, we we were so happy with with the you know the the output from from the breweries that we reached out to. Um I did have another idea this year and I haven't tabled it with the group yet. Um but um I thought we could do similar to what Dusty Lizard was gonna do for us, so like we could approach local breweries and say, hey, you know, because because we've got a fair bit of time before November, right? We could say, hey, could we um could you guys brew our or we help brew uh a a Frothy Moe beer and um they donate you know a couple dollars for every beer sold to to our cause at the end of the end of November. Um and like we could do little little placards up for the brewery to to you know say this is this is going to the Frothy Mo Co charity, you know, to go into charity for Movember. Um so it could be something that we you know approach breweries and say, you know, we've all got collectively X amount of followers, we'll share it, you know, we'll get the you'll get the message out there to to get people down to your breweries and and try this beer and then you know, um donate a couple bucks for each one sold at the end of the month.

That's yeah, I really like that idea. And in fact, there was a question from uh someone you guys might know by the name of Craft Beer George. Um I think that ties perfectly into this. George wanted to know, Duane, what would be an ideal beer for the frothy moco to be brewed?

Okay, so while we are talking about that, uh Dusty Lizard are jumping back on board with us again this year. Um, and we will be brewing a beer probably with the Wollongong Home Brewers uh with Dusty Lizards that will be a frothy moco beer. Um I have been in some there and had a chat with Nathan about it. He's thinking some weird and wonderful things. Um don't give it away, don't give it away. Don't give it away? Okay, I won't give it away. Oh, anyway. But what's what is a frothy moco beer?

Oh, geez. I think I don't think it has to be anything crazy. I it can just be, you know, one brewery could do a lager. Yeah, one brewery could do a lager, um one brewery could do a hate.

I think because it's gonna sell sell the most, right? Like get a nice lager and you know, you'll get the most people wanting to buy it.

The whole premise of it, I suppose, is just to have a beer that people would share and have a chat, right? So may as well be your your first beer of the day, which is tends to be a lager, at least in my case.

Yes, and it was our our case the other day, right? We had a Hellas that was just uh very good down there at Batch.

That was weird. I did personally go, I was expecting this beer to be the best beer I'd ever tasted, and I was a little bit confused.

Yes, yes. No, it was a decent Hellas, but uh I think we all had expectations of it tasting amazing.

Probably just speak to the whole thing. Like we're just saying I was I'm just surprised to th to see how much I was like, oh I don't necessarily need to have a beer on Saturday. Um but I probably will, let's be honest. Um gents, I really appreciate A being part of the Froffy Mo together, from Profimoco together, uh doing dry July with you boys and getting to know you a bit better and you know feeling like we're part of something. Um and also thanks for coming on and having a having a little yarn about it.
