Hey , rolling like a tack this morning , we're going to start over you know what ? I'm not even going to go with an intro , just get a coffee , get an energy drink . Let's start the podcast , because I'm already , because obviously I don't know how to do an intro . It's okay , we're rolling with it . I'm definitely on .
Speaker 1There's somebody else out there . This is why we need a studio . We really do , but that costs money and I don't have it . Man , we were just talking about that . Yeah , we're broke . Speaker 1I would change it myself , but it's still under warranty and I don't want to avoid it . That's , you know , understandable . It's fair . How long is it under warranty ? Talk about his truck , in case you don't . How long , like , how much longer do I have with a warranty on it ? Like , is it to $100,000 ? I don't know , I think it's $75,000 . But I did $10,000 this morning , jeez , and I got it in May . You go to my home , dude , I drive so much Like I go to Dallas once a week or once a month , not including the trips I take . I was taking from Hot Springs to back down here . You took it to Tennessee . Yeah , I took it to Tennessee . I'm taking that thing everywhere . A lot of miles on that truck , yeah , and it's brand new . Putting it to its paces , I'm telling you it's crazy .
Speaker 1Anyway , completely off topic , work was work , working a lot . It wasn't really like our job we were supposed to do , but it was . It's my old job . Yeah , kind of Kind of an old job , not really . I mean I splice cable . We had to run cat5 cable for the new cat system we got , which is , I mean it's got potential , but there's kinks and bugs in it at the moment .
Speaker 1I look forward to it . I think it's going to be a great addition . Now there's some that are like , eh , it might not be beneficial , but I think once we get you mean at the Berlin , yeah , like we get everything added to it where it needs to get added , that'd be nice . Burn bands will show up , who's out where everybody is . The schedule's nice . I think the weather's kind of nice too , because some days we'll be sitting there and then all of a sudden a rain cloud will pop up , yeah , and I'm like I don't realize it until we're rolling out that . I'm like , hey , I probably should grab my Raincoat , raincoat , yeah , and take the flags down .
Speaker 1That was a long day project our first day Six , seven , six or seven hours roughly . We got done at like three . Yeah , started about nine because we had that 9-11 ceremony that morning . That's right . Yeah , we started probably around 11-ish , that's right . We started probably 11 , did station and then went out and did Central , yeah , and got them all wired and stuff . Central gave us the biggest fits because it's just so much cable Well , it's that . And they're going from upstairs to downstairs and you've got to go through a conduit and we had to put in a couple outlets . It's Try to make it look nice . Yeah , it's a flagship to make it look nice . Yeah , it's a flag suit and it is . But , uh , the 9-11 ceremony wasn't bad . That was the first one I've been a part of . It was nice . It was , um , just a small town ceremony like normal . Yeah , nothing flashy . Just to the point . You know , honor those that stood before or had done our job before we had , so it's nice to recognize them .
Speaker 1Day two , that's a little . That was the Friday . There was a couple football games on . I didn't really watch a lot of football . I think we watched Good Good because we just didn't run hardly any calls Caught up on Good Good . I didn't know I was a month behind . We gotta fix that . I know Now I'm just two weeks behind . I think we had one call and then we had the football game . Oh , I forgot about the football game Because we picked up a surrogate who was in school , yeah , and he rode with us .
Speaker 1Yeah , we had a couple of anxiety attacks and I think there was some dehydration with that . That caused them that anxiety attack and then it cut both of them out . Other than that , I didn't get to experience much of those two like dehydration because I was searching for ice . Yeah , you also ran back and forth , I think they just they ate it right before they got to the game , so like I don't know , 435 . And they said they had like one water bottle throughout the day . It was hot that evening it was warm , it was hotter than I expected it to be , and so I think they just got hot , kind of got dizzy , maybe like fallout , and then you know four people rolling up on him probably gave him an anxiety attack . Yeah , because your day is confused Like oh my gosh , there's just four new people and you don't know a single one of them .
Speaker 1Asking all these questions trying to figure out what's going on . Drink water , if it's all . That's why I'll be drinking water . I don't like drinking water , I just can't drink water . But I drink lemonade and I drink water with bees and I drink like I'm getting a kick where it's like all I want is water and nothing else . But it is very rare and far between those little circle . Things from all murder guts and I enjoyed my .
Speaker 1I don't get enough flavor out of the little packets . I like punches of flavor . Get that with . You know it goes up to ten , right . But then you're you get like three , three full containers of sorbo and then you're like this was supposed to last like six , seven bottles and I only got two . It's just not worth it for me personally .
Speaker 1I tried something . I saw it on TikTok . They were like for their kids they had their syrup old but instead of buying a new one , they filled it up with the Mio syrup . I tried that . They do that with the Mountain Dew flavored sugar screen . It's alright , it just tastes like lemon lime water . I tried that Mountain Dew flavored . Yeah , it's alright , it just tastes like lemon lime water .
Speaker 1So Sprite , what is it now ? It's not Sprite . No , you're thinking of 7-Up . It's Story now . Story , that's right . I knew they'd change Sprite . Still , I don't know if LeBron Still about the story . I know they didn't change Sprite , though I don't know if LeBron still sponsored it or whatever , because of the Christmas commercials .
Speaker 1Oh , yeah , yeah , the cranberry Sprite or whatever . Yeah , I must be able to try those new sodas . Yeah , that didn't really happen in our Type 1 diabetic , does it ? I mean , unless you just want to overload on insulin , I mean you can drink the diet sodas and everything . But I felt like it was the word I wanted to use is holding it back , because I feel like I'm in better shape than I was when I was drinking . It was the word I want to use is holding them back . Speaker 1I think I had two Mountain Dews yesterday when I was working on some stuff working on the computer . I had two of them . I get the hankering for one every now and then I just have to tell myself , no , don't do it , don't do it , it ain't worth it . That's funny . But yeah , and you know we got off what ? Saturday , saturday morning ? Yeah , I just ran around and piddled , I didn't really do anything , ran some errands and I think we went and looked for my sister to get a new phone , because she still wrapped in the toilet the iPhone toilet . Oh yeah , yeah , and she finally paid it off the iPhone 12 . Oh yeah , yeah , she finally paid it off and so she got a new 17 Pro and she maybe get an iPad . So that's fun . Let's talk about that for a second .

Speaker 1I think after the 12 , it went downhill . I don't know why they didn't make a black one . I saw a lot of people not like the 17 because there wasn't a black one , the only thing that I can see me enjoying about the 17 is they have a like olive drab green case , like a dark green case , and it doesn't cover like the whole top part of the phone , the orange one . And if you put it with the back of the phone with the green case and the orange at right-of-side Master Chief's helmet , it looks dope . That is the only reason I would get the new 17 . That is kind of cool . Yeah , it's pretty dope . Nope , I'm still not . Yeah , it's pretty dope . Nope , it's not that good . Yeah , I don't know . That's film , not for a cosmetic . I did see a thing where it was like it said like there's always the coffee cat or whatever , and it had all the new iPhones at the bottom and then on top it was like the old , like GameCubes , because there was like the old GameCubes , because there was a blue one and an orange one and whatever the third one was . I think that . I think , I don't know , I just I don't .
Speaker 1If I didn't have so many Apple products , I would have made the Switch already . But I've got the watch , I've got the phone , I've got the iPad . I just got rid of my computer . Of course , I'm probably not going to get another one because I use my iPad for everything . An iPad is basically a computer , it really is . And then you know I've already got all the chargers for my Apple product and they're interchangeable . It doesn't .
Speaker 1The type-c port to a Type-C port , you can charge both . They'll communicate with you . Say , mine's on 67 and yours is on 3% , my phone will charge your phone . That's weird . But if you do a USB-C to a Lightning , like a 17 to my 14 , it'll just charge my phone regardless of what the percentage is , which is nice . I think that's a nice little deal they did .
Speaker 1And again , the camera . I don't think there's much difference in the camera . They took a page out of the firefighting book Buggy breathers . Yeah , pretty much , but then again , this isn't crack . This does me just fine for what I needed to do and I'm not about to spend X amount to just what . Get it . You find that I'm not Right . There's no point . Yeah , I don't went to church and now I'm here . I gotta do . I gotta get out and change my wool this morning . That was expensive , ish , it's also a brand new truck , so Like 90 bucks , 140 . What it also takes like six quarts of wool yeah , I think six or seven , I don't know .
Speaker 1I definitely avoided the warranty on my career . Well , that one's still under warranty and if there's like major mechanical problems I can take it back and it's like I think it's $100 . And then it's completely fixed . Yeah , I'm ready to get rid of mine . I have a cheap compass and I started having problems with it at the beginning of the year Because it has two batteries and you know all about them too . Speaker 1Same issue when I first bought it . I bought it , used the battery like I drove it off the lot , went to Starbucks and then , not five minutes after that , the battery went dead and I couldn't move , like I couldn't start my vehicle . I said that's said stupid auxiliary battery . This car did . Whoever invented that is an idiot . Like , if you're in a big city , I see it . Maybe , maybe , but I've never really sat in traffic where I needed my car to just chill out . And if I did , I just turned the car off , right , just turn the key , I don't . And then it runs the engine because it's constantly stopping starting , starting like , just let it run . Yeah , so now I'm going to have to buy 200 , spend 250 bucks on a battery . That's disgusting . Battery costs are expensive . Yeah , I ordered a place to exhibit a battery and so it's still under warranty , I guess . Sorry , I had to rub my eyes . That probably didn't tell the best . I put it all over here . Yeah , it did not sound the right thing . I was already getting rid of this thing . It was nice when I had it down before , because I've been doing a lot of driving and it had great gas mileage . Now you're like a two-minute driver , yeah , and I don't go anywhere else . I'm a grocery store , so I'm according to the grocery store , so we're ready to get it going . I got to do that today . Got to go get a haircut and prescription . I got a haircut the morning of .
Speaker 1I didn't do much on my days off here Went and helped cut some sheep lungs and sprayed for wasps and deer stands , and we went with my wife's family to go eat and had some mexican food . We went bowling bowling . We haven't bowled in a while and it shows obviously . I bowled like 130 the first game and nobody broke like 70 . Yeah , that's a little bit right . The second game I broke 180 . And it's the thing , actually , they didn't break like 60 .
Speaker 1Wow , okay , watched the Hogs lose while we were there . It's just so frustrating . And we had no defense . There was zero defense . The Hogs lose while we were there . And I was like , yeah , but they're going to do something to screw it up Like it never fails . That was the reason they called it Heartbreak Balls .

Yeah , like four hours after we like posted yeah , charlie Kirkman , one is one is like I was devastated . That was I'd seen some things . And it's like on facebook . Sometimes facebook's like people are looking for attention . Yeah , and then like , for example , like ben Diesel died in a car crash . Yeah , I was like , hmm , you texted me , mm-hmm . I was like , oh , he's saying so I looked up , turn up . Yeah , I know , I Actually saw like the video .
Speaker 1It's hard to watch and that's coming from a , like a paramedic or not a paramedic , I'm almost a paramedic here . I'll pass the steps , but like coming from ems , like to see it and what the part that's the worst is , erica was there and worst is Erica was there and this little girl was there . I didn't know that part . Yeah , they were both there in attendance and it's like it's hard to comprehend the feeling that obviously they had and the little girl doesn't understand . And now she's got to grow up without a dad , which is terrible .

Speaker 1I hope the person that has been cast in the case is the one that did it to me . I'm pretty sure it is Punishable by the fullest extent of the laws . There you talk yeah , I , uh , I will say not saying that what happened is good , because it's not . I'm not that very clear . I do not respect upon anybody . Speaker 1But , that being said , I have seen a big shift towards like christianity , like I've seen videos of people that are like um , haven't been to church my entire life and went the other day and it kind of made sense . And then there was one where it was like there was a guy talking about how he was like a Nordic pagan and worshiped like Nordic gods and stuff and because of the like , the outcome and then like not necessarily the protest over it , but like how everybody responded . He was like I went out and bought a bible , I started reading it and I'm not saying I've converted , but it's definitely got me thinking and I was like it's amazing how like one thing can just shift and turn everything around . Once again , I wish that upon nobody and I thought that's absolutely terrible . But Like comes through the darkest moment , right , I don't , I didn't want that to be the reason it happened , right , the reason it happened . I also saw there was a , I think , like an AI , like someone was like ask AI what Charlie is saying right now . And Charlie like the , the AI like made Charlie like make a memo , and it was like three points and I was like you know it's pretty spot on . I have no doubt in my mind that's what Charlie would have said .

Speaker 1So , the way it was set , it was Good Good versus Dude Perfect , and there was a list of different sports that they could choose from Right . And they did a coin flip for the first sport and good good won the coin toss and naturally they chose golf . Right , obviously , you have to . They won . Of course , I would be upset if they did . Yeah , I would be too . But then the loser gets to choose the next one . And so Duke Parker chose . They kept basketball in their pocket because they're pretty good . They're good at it . Yeah , that's where the trick shot started , exactly . And they chose . What did they choose ? Beach volleyball . That's what they chose . And good good spell that one . Oh really , beach volleyball , that's what they chose . And good good , speladon oh really , it was Sean . And Scharf Scharf's more athletic than LeBron , so that makes sense . Yeah , I mean , he was . They both looked pretty good in a cutoff white cutoff Good for them . So Duke Perfect had to choose another sport and they chose pickleball . And they got a massive warehouse , yeah , and they had their own pickleball court and I think it was Dude Perfect that got that one . Mm-hmm , because it was Ty and Kobe versus Steve . And who was it ? I want to say Sean .
Speaker 1Again , garrett didn't participate in anything . I don't think he can play much sport other than golf . Well , that's what he focused on . He played high school , tried to play college , and then he did a social media thing and he did trick shots of golf . So that makes sense . Yeah , he didn't even play the golf one . It was a private child golf . So that makes sense . Yeah , he didn't even play the golf one . It was Brad and John . Well , that makes sense . These are two guys , yeah .
Speaker 1And then they played . I think Duke Perfect stole that one , or maybe it was Duke that stole that one . And then they took basketball because they were like it was best of seven . They were like we've got to get one , and so they did basketball and they were like it was best of seven . They were like we've got to get one , yeah . And so they did basketball and Duke took that one . So it was like three to one and Good Good chose the last one . That doesn't even make sense . Speaker 1The last part was was it punt , throw or punt pass , kick ? And there was three . It was the best of three . There were three people that had to punt it from one side of the field to the middle , they had to pass it to the other side of the field and they had to kick a field goal . Personally , with the best time out of three attempts won and good , good , put up a 10-3 . 10 seconds , 10.3 seconds . And on the last attempt , do perfect , put up like a 9-4 . Oh , yeah , that was harsh . Yeah , so now it's what ? 3-2 ? Yeah , something like that . That was the last .
Speaker 1Oh , I forgot , they did a soccer one where they had to kick the field goal . Is it called a field goal , a goal , a goal ? I don't know soccer ? I don't either . Yeah , it was Ty's the goalie and A goal , a goal . I don't know soccer . Oh , yeah , yeah , it was Ty's the goalie and Bubby is the goalie . And when they were in , if you watched one of the 100 versus 10,000 , they did a soccer like extravaganza , and Bubby was the goalie and he was mad that he couldn't block the goal . So he was the goalie as a redemption this round and they won that one .
Speaker 1So , good , good , beat Duke Parker . No , oh , it ended up being tied in like game seven I'm missing a sport somewhere but tied , going into going into game seven and , dude , perfect , 20 . Pump pass kick . That's terrible . I had such high hopes . I was like good , good , good Athletes need .
Speaker 1Well , then you got Sharks , absolutely . Sharks is better than LeBron . He's more athletic . He's not better , he's more athletic . You stick them on the same court .

But I'm a realistic person . My knees , no . Lower back , no . Shoulder yeah , no , I haven't . I would take that to my grave . Yeah , you know what ? Thank you , it means a lot . I'm trying to boost your confidence . So maybe we can play golf tournaments . Listen , I'm thinking playing next year , because my wife won't play golf tournaments . I think I'm going to play next year For either the Arkansas or the North Louisiana tour and tour Golf weekly . My dad just played . I'm going to brag about my dad a little bit .
Speaker 1He's a guy back from a tournament and he 11 points for the 25 season . He got voted by the entire North Louisiana tour for my understanding , his most valuable player , and he won in his B flight Over the weekend his first day he went plus two , which shot like a 73 and as a par 71 , tied with his Thing , tied with his best round , I think he tied with his best round , maybe . Anyway , at the time of his best round he would have won champ flight if he was in it by like two strokes , wow . So he said he couldn't miss anything within eight feet . Like his putter was hot the first day , dang , and then the second day , his , like he , his power wasn't as hot and he shot , you know , high 70s but still like . He won his flight by nine strokes accumulative and he uh , his USG handicap went down . So instead of like a 9 point , whatever , like a 9.1 , he's at like an 8.1 now , jeez . And so he got moved up from B flight to A flight , which is funny . It's not funny , but it's kind of funny . He's playing in Anna's play now so him and Anna can play against each other and Anna's got like a . I think she's got like a five or six handicap .

She's in nursing school though , so that takes all of her time , right , and I'm telling you , if she like , on weekends when I'm off and she's off and she doesn't have like clinicals and she's just working . You know we go to golf . I have no doubt in my mind that you're two months and she'll be back at that par below . So we'll see . She's not careful though . She'll get moved to champ flight .

That's where I'm going to hang out for a while , and then , you know , once I break , once I get in the 90s , it'll be easy to get to 90 . I've just got to fix some mechanics and you know my entire game , but I think if I can get my putting better , I can knock at least you know least two or three strokes off every hole . Are you trying to bust 100 and I'm trying to bust 90 ? Well , I'm trying to get 290 . I just want to get 290 . And then I can start refining my game .
Speaker 1I feel like crack would have been a better thing to accomplish than golf . I think it could cook , crack or meth a lot easier than playing golf . It would at least fund the hobby . Yeah , I don't know golf . Why did it have to be golf ? Yeah , I don't know Golf . Why did it have to be golf ? You know , I didn't appreciate it when I was a kid , I think because I didn't understand . This is an old-day sport . Yeah , it's an old-man sport . Now I'm 20 , almost 7 .

I did distance , but even then it wasn't fast . And then , I don't know , my senior year , I got involved in a lot more clubs . I think my senior year I was in East Club , I think . Do you have beef with the West Club ? Huh , do you have beef with the West Club ? No , no , I don't even think we had a West Club we might have If we did the least . Yeah , we had the least club , for sure . And then I did CNA . I was in CNA by the end of my senior year you got a package coming .
Speaker 1Postal guys outside the post office guys , yeah , post officers right there . I mean they're across the street but they normally run at about 4 o'clock . Yeah , no , they are early . They're like hey , you got packages . I do have a package . You do have packages . Yeah , you should have a package showing up . Is it the GoPro stuff ? I want one . That's what I'm talking about . I'm hoping that they both showed up . That'd be nice .
Speaker 1Yeah , we're trying to get this golf YouTube thing . Yeah , golf thing on YouTube still works . We're trying to order some stuff , get some stuff set up , figure out how it works . That's exciting . I got one person that wants to be a special guest on the YouTube . Oh , yeah , put the drug off . No , there's top-down tomato boxes , anyway , yeah , my cousin-in-law wants to . Okay , yeah , we'll make that happen . So I don't know how that's going to work out .
Speaker 1He's kind of a wild card . One day , like yesterday , he played a super good goal . I think he shot like a 43 . Over nine holes . Yeah , I'm not doing that , and then the next day he'll shoot , you know , 60 . Yeah , that's pretty much speed , yeah , so like he got a nasty slice because he's a lefty , so his goes a little different than mine , but I can compete with him on drives . There you go . Yeah , I need to , I think if I got my mechanics down and kind of refined everything my mechanics are terrible . Want me to go play sometime Mm-hmm .
