SPEAKER_01Where we have lots of feelings and no qualifications. What are we reading this week?
SPEAKER_02We are reading off-campus series books three through five by L. Kennedy. Yes, we finished it up. We finished it. This series was so fun. Just in time for the TV show to come out. Just in time for the frickin show. So we haven't watched it, but we're gonna watch it after this. Yes. We wanted to finish a series before we dove into the TV show.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and Peely knowing me, she's like, hey, why don't we like watch the episode the same day we record? So that way you're forced to watch it and you can't say no. Literally. So I'm really excited to watch it though. I haven't watched TV, like a show, in forever.
SPEAKER_02I know, and I'm gonna have to go at your pace because I don't want to watch it without you now. So it's gonna take us five months to finish this series, basically.
SPEAKER_01So much fun. But you were telling me that the first season of Off Campus, the show, is the first book.
SPEAKER_02Is the deal. Yeah, it's Garrett and Tana. I absolutely love it. I know, but we get to meet a lot of the characters.
SPEAKER_00So yay!
SPEAKER_02Have you seen anything about the TV show?
SPEAKER_01I saw words and I was like, I literally saw Bo Maxwell, and I was like, Jesus Christ. So I'm like, I can't watch that. I know what that's about. Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02All right, let's get into it. So the first book we're gonna talk about is book three, which is the score, and it's Dean and Allie's book. Dean and Allie. Love that. Yeah? Yeah. I really liked it. So the fourth one is what? The fourth one is the goal. The goal, which was Tucker and Sabrina.
SPEAKER_01Tucker and Sabrina.
SPEAKER_02Which we get like their snippet at the end of book three, and we're like, holy shit.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Alright, so let's talk about it.
SPEAKER_01So let's talk about it. Spoilers here. Yes. What'd you rate 'em? I would say like I would say four and then four and a half. You liked okay, I gotta go by the names. Okay. You liked Tucker and Sabrina more than Dean and Alley. Correct? Yeah. That way? Interesting.
SPEAKER_02Interesting. We're gonna do the rankings because the rankings I will be able to talk about more. Should we do the rankings now?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, let's just do the rankings.
SPEAKER_02Okay, well, what do you what did you rate the book?
SPEAKER_01I think I would rate the score four and a half.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01Right? Mm-hmm. And Tucker and Sabrina the goal. The goal, as they say. Mm-hmm. That one's like a little tougher for me. I I wanna give like four.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I didn't not like that one as much. Okay. Mm-hmm. So I'm excited to see like your thoughts. Mm-hmm. Which is your favorite out of all of them? I still think Garrett's book. Okay, me too.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I agree. The deal was my favorite one too. Yeah. Big Man on Campus. Big Man on Campus. I will say I have a lot to discuss. I read The Legacy, which is book five, which is kind of like the epilogue novellas of all of the couples.
SPEAKER_01You did not. I did not, because I'm a motherfucker and I didn't have time to read. It's fine. I'm not gonna lie to you. You didn't miss much. Perfect. Love that for me. And I also did the good reads. A lot of people didn't like it. So I'm so excited to talk to you about that. So that way you could be pissed off with me. Thank you, thank you. I'm also like really excited I didn't waste my time reading that because I would have been up till two in the morning reading. No if I tried to. Okay.
SPEAKER_02Thank you. I would say that was like a three, three and a half. Really? Yeah, that's okay. All right, cool. We'll talk about it. Make me feel better about that. Of course. I needed to, because I'm like, damn, she's probably gonna be really bummed that she didn't read it. I literally was so bummed. I mean, if after we talk about it, then you want to read it, sure.
SPEAKER_01But you really haven't missed much. And I will I will debrief and give you the cliff notes. Perfect, perfect, perfect. All right, so are we gonna rate our people first? Okay, so let's start with the girls. Okay, let's start with the girls. Are we going last to first? Of course. Okay, of course. Who's your last? My last, unfortunately, is Sabrina. Same. Yeah. She deserves to be last. God, I hated her. I'm kidding.
SPEAKER_02I'm so happy that you said that. I I was so upset with her. Like, I here's my thing. She had a lot of good character traits. She was a boss bitch. She was a hard worker. She, you know, got dealt a shit hand. She was just like powering through. She worked for herself. She was confident, everything. But I did not like the way she treated Tucker. I did not like the way she treated Tucker either.
SPEAKER_01And like me out. The way she treated herself. Like she was just not thinking correctly. I don't know. It was the pregnancy brain. Literally. I don't know if it was the pregnancy brain or what, but she was just not doing it. I was so upset with her. Literally. Damn it. And like literally clocked it at 90% of the book. She was still like to her friends. Yeah, but I don't want to tie him down to me.
SPEAKER_02Lady, I was so You already have a child with him. He's already tied down. Make it official and shut up. Yeah, you guys obviously love each other. Oh, it was so frustrating. So fucking frustrating. I was so mad at her. Yeah. I'm like, come on. Just like why? Why? Why?
SPEAKER_01I'm so happy. Because you usually don't agree with me when I think a girl sucks.
SPEAKER_02I agree that I don't think that. I thought I I th well I was trying to do my rankings right. Like I do like a black cat FMC every once in a while. You do say that. If it's done right. If it's like I don't know, like I I was really comparing her to Winter. Because like it was a pregnancy trope, and it was, you know, kind of like She's a bitch. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01But I feel like Winter, she gave Theo a chance. A hundred percent. This she gave Theo. She like gave to him. She didn't only take. I feel like she just didn't give him anything to work with.
SPEAKER_02Like exactly. He was the only one putting his foot forward. He was the only one trying to be in this relationship. And so I was bummed. Yep. And he was so patient. Beautiful.
SPEAKER_01He's yeah, he's great.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Anyways, whatever.
SPEAKER_01So Sabrina was my last. Yeah, same. Alright, who's your third? My third was Grace. Yeah? Yeah, who's yours? Mine was Allie. Why? I honestly don't really remember Grace as much. So I think that's why I put Allie above her.
SPEAKER_02Mine was hard because I feel like I judged Allie a lot more on her as a girlfriend than her as like a girl. You know what I'm saying? Like I feel like she was a fine friend, like to Hannah. She was she was nice. But my thing is I feel like her and Dean's relationship was a little superficial. So I didn't really love that. Okay. I feel like they were not really talking about the deep stuff. Okay. I will say this before people come for me. The call Dean scene in book three was my favorite scene out of the entire series. Really? I loved it. Yes. I was so into that. Me too. Because I feel like that's what we were just saying last episode, how they were very real or like they acted like a real person would. And I feel like that was very much uh if a college girl got shit-talked by her ex-boyfriend, like she would go and call Dean. Like call him.
SPEAKER_01Yep. 100%.
SPEAKER_02And Dean would go. And I'm like, I love this.
SPEAKER_01Yep, but I nobody gave a fuck who was around. Nobody gave a fuck. Where is she? I said, Oh my god, please don't.
SPEAKER_02Yes. I'm dead. I love that scene. Loved. So that was my favorite scene out of the whole series. But I feel like their relationship, like, I don't know. He didn't give for you. He didn't really give. That's okay. Yeah. What about Grace? You said just because you didn't really remember her? Yeah, like who was Grace, pretty much. Yeah. I mean Grace, Grace was my two, if we're gonna talk about seconds. Grace was my second. Allie was my second.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So we both have our We both have Hannah's first. Hannah. I love Hannah. Okay, I will say this. Okay. And this is very important. These rankings are based solely off books one through four. Because book five, I don't know what L was smoking when she fucking wrote that book, but half of these characters acted so out of pocket in in the fifth book. Really? So out of pocket. Oh, I cannot wait to hear about it. You're gonna die. And Hannah's my first without talking about the legacy. It went that bad? It went that bad. Holy shit. Not even gonna lie. All right. But yeah. Okay, we'll get there because now I'm super intrigued about this. So that's my preface about the rankings. These are my rankings, not not talking about book five.
SPEAKER_01But yeah, Hannah, I loved in book one. I loved her throughout the entire off-campus series. Yeah. And Garrett, of course. Yes. They were like that couple.
SPEAKER_02They were so cute. They were like so rooting for everybody. I feel like since they were like the first established couple, like they were, you know, like mom and dad. Yeah. They were like mom and dad. Literally. Yeah. So I have Grace second, but um, I don't know. Her she was fine. I don't really remember a lot about that book either, but I just didn't really like Allie that much either.
SPEAKER_01That's why you put her first. I get you. Yeah. I get you. That's fine. So let's talk about our men. Yes. So our last. Who'd you put for last? I put Logan. Same. Yeah. I know you didn't like Logan. Yeah. And I like I like the other guys better. So I was like, all right, Logan's last. Perfect, perfect. Let's see if we have like the same. I don't think we will. Oh my god. I don't know. Okay. Who's your third? My third is Dean. Okay, V2.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02My third is Dean. Which is really surprising because you were so obsessed with him last episode.
SPEAKER_01Loved Dean. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I really I love him. I really like Dean too. I did not love the way he acted in book three at some point.
SPEAKER_00Oh my god. Crazy. So then your second? My second? Please. Are you sitting down? My second is Garrett. I loved Tucker. You put I put Tucker first. You put Tucker first? Yep.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god. I loved Tucker. I mean, I give that. I love I love Tucker also. I'm not even gonna lie to you. I was doing my rankings and I said, if I would have liked Sabrina a smidge more, he would have been competing with Theo. Like I loved Tucker.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but she didn't give enough to show Tucker's full potential in this book. 100%. I completely agree.
SPEAKER_02So that's why I was like, I I still like him for the man he is. I love him. So I'm just like, I'm gonna still put him first. Yep. But if Isla had liked Sabrina even a little bit more, oh, this book would have been like unbeatable.
SPEAKER_01Ooh.
SPEAKER_02But yeah, I I do think, as far as like looks-wise, like Garrett is still the hottest one out of all of them. Garrett probably is the hottest one. A hundred percent. But I love Tucker. He was acts of service. He was like No, the Southern Draw. Southern Darling was killing me every time.
SPEAKER_01Entire book. Where's the audio? No, he didn't listen to the audio.
SPEAKER_02He didn't listen to it. That would have been so fun. I wonder if the the narrator had some sort of Southern Drawl?
SPEAKER_03Oh man.
SPEAKER_02God, that would have been good. No, I was like, I'm so into these Southern men. 100%. He was literally the king of X of Service. He was the king of X of Service. And she didn't even like let him do anything. So imagine if he actually was able to do everything to his fullest potential. Oh, I was so mad at her. But whatever. So fucking annoying. She was so annoying. But I really loved Garrett too. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I think Garrett's your first. Yeah, Garrett's my first. But I think the only reason Garrett is my first is because I was giddy as fuck with Garrett. But also it probably could be because of Sabrina. Like I feel like I didn't get enough of those feel-good moments with Tucker. But it was literally because of Sabrina. Yeah. Like he didn't have a chance to have fun with her. No. It was just like, I hope she doesn't break.
SPEAKER_02Oh, literally. I don't want to get too close to her because she's gonna run away. Oh my god, it was pissing me the fuck off. I'm like, Tucker, your potential right now is through the roof.
SPEAKER_01Literally. I was so mad. So I think that's probably the reason why Garrett is first for me. Because like I laughed and laughed. No. Giddy, so happy in that book. And then this one was just like another Sabrina moment. God fucking Sabrina. God damn. Not again at 90 fucking percent Sabrina. Man. It was tough.
SPEAKER_02It was tough. It was a tough one to read. I'm not gonna lie. Yeah. Garrett was so confident and cocky and charismatic and cute. And I loved him. Yep. Big man on campus. Big man on campus. He will be. Yeah, I know. I was I was teetering between the two of them, but I'm like, you know what? I did really, really love Tucker. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. But I was really pissed off. Yep. About his book. Yep. Anyways. Anyways. So let's actually dive a little bit into the books. So book three is the score, and it's Dean and Allie. And he's a man whore. Basically. Yes. And she just broke up with her on again, off again boyfriend Sean. Mm-hmm. Fucking weasel. Ew. Ew. Yeah. And so they secretly hook up once. Yep. And then Dean's like, oh my God, I can't get enough of her.
SPEAKER_01And oh my god, I loved that. And she's like, I can't do this. I'm not a casual sex girly. Literally. And Dean is like, my dick hasn't forgotten about her. We need to do this again. We need to do it again. And so she obviously gives in. Yep, yep, of course. Of course. She's like, I need to let loose. Why not?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. And so they have this fling. Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. It's a secret fling. Nobody knows about. Nobody knows about it.
SPEAKER_02So they they're just like casually hooking up or whatever. And then obviously, as one does, they catch feelings. Yep. Yep. And she tried to end it. She tried. I think was so cool. Loved. I was like, okay, Allie. Yeah, she's like, this is not for me. I'm not into this casual sex. And he's like, you're fine. Yeah. He's like, it's not over until I say it is.
SPEAKER_01I'm like, he's like, we're together. So shut up. Definitely agree that this was very college y. Like when she's talking about why her and Sean broke up, and it was just basically, I definitely shouldn't have said your acting career isn't going anywhere. I was upset and lashing out at you. Like, shut up. Sean was just so dumb.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Like, dumb as fuck. When she goes to talk to him, she finally agrees to like go and have a sit down with him. To the coffee shop. Uh-huh. And he's like, here you go. I bought two airplane tickets for us. Get out of here. After you just shit talked her the entire time. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Ugh. Like, no. No.
SPEAKER_02No, no, no, no. I don't like that. But so this part actually made me die. He's like, I know I was wrong to give you an ultimatum. I told you, I've been doing a lot of thinking. I came to a few conclusions. And so it's Allie's internal monologue. And she goes, My stomach drops when he sticks one hand in his jacket pocket. Dear God, please don't let him pull out a velvet jeweler's box. Is it crazy that I almost wish he's going for a gun?
SPEAKER_01That part killed me. No, her inner monologue is was so funny. She was funny. I have a part here that she's talking to her friend, and the friend was going out with like a single dad, and she's like, She wants me to meet his daughter, and she goes, eek, eek! I say out loud. I was like, that's just funny. It's cute. Just to point this part out, I thought it was so funny. When they were in the bar, they were playing music in the jukebox thingy. Loved. So funny. This is when Dean put his song on, and it's it's cheap tricks. I want you to want me. Oh my god, I was dying. That is so funny. The whole jukebox thing.
SPEAKER_02I loved it. She was like you in your hand by pink. Like, yeah, get fucked. We're not fucking again. Oh my god, that's so funny. I love that part. That was really good. And he's like sexting her the entire time. Oh my god, no.
SPEAKER_01And the the last text of that, next time you put on a show like that for me, you better be fucking naked. Oh my god. So hot. No, he was so hot. Loved him. Great. Great job, Dean. Great job. Yeah. This is where um she thought that he was like kissing up on somebody at the bar. And because Hannah had texted her, right? And she goes, What I can do is show him exactly what he's giving up. And she goes to the bar dressed sexy as fuck, and everybody's like, Oh my god, what are you doing? She tries to leave and he goes, Big deal. Do you know how fucking jealous I am right now? Do you think I like seeing every guy in the bar drooling over your tits and shoving their hands in their pockets to rearrange the stiffies you gave them showing up in that getup? I want to rip their eyes out just for looking at you. I was like, I love that. It was so good. We love a jealousy moment. Literally, we love it. And we fuck in the alley. And then they fuck in the fucking alley. I was like, Y'all wild. No. Oh, can I also just say Allie Cat loved the nickname? Yeah. I loved Alley Cat. It was funny. It was cute.
SPEAKER_02So at some point after that, he's walking her home and they see Sean's fraternity brother, and they're like, oh God, like, whatever. They just left it at that. Until that night, at like, I don't know, what was it? Like midnight, one o'clock in the morning. It was something insane. Sean just starts pounding on Allie's door. And thank God Garrett and Hannah were home. Thank God they were home. Thank God Garrett was home. And he's like, absolutely not. I love Garrett. He's like, absolutely not. We're not letting you in. Like, I'm gonna call the cops. Get the fuck out of here. Until finally Allie's like, just let him in. He'll calm down once he's inside. He'll stay out there all night, Garrett. Just let him in and I'll talk him down. I can handle this, I promise. And then it says, Garrett points a finger at me. If he tries anything, I'll beat the shit out of him. And I said, Yes, thank you. Thank you, Garrett. So he lets him in. Mm-hmm. And they're so like Hannah and Garrett go back to her room. Obviously, I'm assuming they're eavesdropping the fuck out of it. They're like literally ear to the door. Literally. And so Sean's like, oh my god, like you're such a whore. I can't believe like you're just like, you you left me for Dean. Did you cheat on me? Do I have to get tested?
SPEAKER_01Test all of this shit. You disease-ridden whore. No, I hated that. The the the STD thing, I was like, this motherfucking weasel. Fucking weasel. I did not like that. I hated him. Yeah, that was really bad. Shut the fuck up. Who are you? Your fucking loser. And of course, Garrett at that very moment was like, that's enough. No, he literally said that's enough. Get the fuck out of here.
SPEAKER_02So he kicks him out, and Hannah goes obviously to and watches him get an Uber and leave. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because I love that. He just knows what a woman needs. Just being protective of like yours and your friends. Like I love. Yes, exactly. It's so cute. And so Hannah, while Garrett's doing that, Hannah is with uh Allie trying to like comfort her or whatever. And Allie's like, just I I need Dean. And she's like, Dean? And it's like, call Dean. She's like, Dean? DLorenta's Dean? She's like, Yes, I need Dean. Call Dean. And then the next chapter is his POB, and it's like, where is she? And I said, Oh my god, I'm dead. Love, love, love, love, love, love. Love. So he gets there. He says, Where is she? He's like, How the fuck did you let him in here, Garrett? He's pissed at both of them. He's like, Why the fuck would you let Sean in here? And he's like, She told me to. Fucking Garrett. So cute. I laughed at that. He was like, What? She told me to. So Hannah's like, wait, what the fuck is going on? Like, explain yourself. And he's like, no, get out of my way, which I love. So he goes to her room, he opens the door, he sees her like balled up, crying on the bed. And he's like, baby. And I was like, Aww. And then all of a sudden you just hear Hannah and Garrett in the back, like, and he just like, I just shut the door on their face. It was that was good. It was so funny. And so that's the part where he's saying, like, you know, like, okay, fine, we're together. Like, it is what it is. And she's like, You want to be with me?
SPEAKER_01And he's like, I don't want to not be with you. And the next morning, everybody's like, What the fuck? Explain yourself, please. I love Hannah because she's like, You both need to leave. So she can explain what the fuck is going on. Yeah. Which I really like. She was such a girl's girl. She was like, What are you doing? Yeah. Oh. Love that. But I love that scene. I really, really like that. But what really killed me was the dad, when he met her dad, and the dad was like, he's never gonna be able to be there for you during the hard times. And he told that to him and her. I was like, oh fuck. Well, yeah, so we didn't even say that Dean is like this. Rich kid gets whatever he wants, hockey player. Yeah. That's what he is. And he doesn't act like that, but he still somehow gets those privileges, which is, you know.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. It is what it is. We didn't mention that Sabrina hates him because they had a class together and he got privileges and he passed the class, even though he should have been failing.
SPEAKER_01He should have been failing that class. I don't know. Well, the whole thing with Sabrina was weird for me in this book. Like every time they saw each other, it was like, hey, Richie. I was like, I don't like that animosity between a like a man and a woman. It's like, you're gonna fuck, but he's fucking somebody else. No, but they don't like that. They didn't like each other. Yeah, but don't talk to each other then. That's so fun.
SPEAKER_02You know what I mean? So unfortunately, oh, a little while later in the book, Dean go gets home and he sees Garrett Logan and Tucker. They're sitting at the kitchen and this like grim faces, and they're like, what the fuck is going on? And I'm like, oh no. I was started reading that. I got chills right now. No, no. I'm like chills all over my body. I was like, I don't like this. What happened? I'm like, did something happen to Allie? Yeah. You didn't expect this at all. Absolutely not. Same. Yeah. And so Garrett goes, coach called. He just got off the phone with Patrick DeLuca. Garrett says, I guess DeLuca called him because he knows that we're friends with Bo. And so, oh, Dean's like, This is about Max. Well, what about him? Oh my God. And this is Logan averts his eyes. So does Tucker. The only one that has the balls to meet my eyes is Garrett, who exhales in a slow, unsteady rush before speaking. He uh died. Oh no. No.
SPEAKER_01That was so fucking tough.
SPEAKER_02No, I could not believe that.
SPEAKER_01No, me either. I said, what? That was my what? What is the right way to say? Because what? What do you mean he died? Which is so fucking sad.
SPEAKER_02No, no, it was so sad. The way Garrett was explaining it, I said, This is so awful and tragic, and I hate this. And damn, L, you really did that. I was like shit. You really did that in both books because in both books you felt it so much. Yeah, book four was insane too. Because then you got Tucker's POV. Yeah. Crazy. Oh, and then he had to sell Sabrina. Oh. No. Okay, we'll talk about it. But this news kind of Dean goes into a spiral. Dean goes into a spiral. He's drinking, he's smoking, you know, he's just like ignoring all his responsibilities, rolled up in his room, getting drunk, getting high every single day. Every single day. Like nothing productive. Like he's just going through it. Allie's trying to be supportive the best she can. Yeah. But she understands everybody grieves differently, but she's like, when are we getting a point?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we're gonna have to, you know, kick it in. And he's just not, he's not dealing with it. And of course, the one thing she's thinking about is her dad saying you can't count on him when times get tough. Oh, which is like such a tough time. Yeah. Yep. It sucked. While he's spiraling, yeah, um, Coach O'Shea, which is long story short, the dad of an ex of his who used to threaten to commit suicide because of history that they have. Yeah. So he obviously has it out for Dean. He sees him spiraling, but of course he's like, Oh, we're gonna drug test the entire team. Dean, the night before, was on freaking Molly. So he goes up to Coach Jensen and is like, no, that was crazy.
SPEAKER_02That talk, that's what I have in my annotation. He's like, Coach, can I speak to you in private? Shit. Fuck. No, and like you know you've disappointed an adult when like they're like, they don't even like no, they don't even yell at you. They're like, okay, get out. Yep. No, no. He literally said, uh, okay, so he goes, sure. Coach says, Gonna make me ask you, is that it? Fine, I'll ask. What's going to Happen when you piss in that cup, Dean. And then he's like, the shame builds inside of me. What are the results going to be? Marijuana, cocaine, and he's like, MDMA, I mumble. He closes his eyes briefly, then he opens them. Alright, thanks for letting me know. I leave his office feeling like a man on death row. Two days later, I get kicked off the team. Like, bro, way to kick a guy when he's down.
SPEAKER_01Way to kick a guy when he's down, like freaking Coach O'Shea was like, damn, a piece of shit. But that's not even like the cherry on top. So another thing that was happening was he was missing the freaking practices with the kids, and he loved those practices. So of course, Allie being Allie, she went to the coach and was like, he'll be back. And he's like, he didn't send you to say that. Damn. Damn. That was tough. So then she goes to talk to frickin' Dakota, who is the sister of one of the teammates, and she's like, he hates me because I made him buy girl skates. Yeah, the 10-year-old little girl. No.
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_01I literally hated that.
SPEAKER_02No. And then when Allie told him about it, no. Yep. He was fucked. She was like, I had to explain to Dakota why this little girl is crying in my face, saying that you hate her.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm. Yeah. And she was yelling at him, all pissed because he what? He missed her fucking show. I was livid. I hated that. I was so mad at him. I was mad. Because for her, number one, to miss the show, she's crying, not happy tears, all these sad tears, and everybody's congratulating her. This and that. She gets to the house and he's throwing a fucking party.
SPEAKER_02No. No, when literally it's her POV, she's like on stage bowing, and she's like, I don't need to know because like I see the front row and it's every all the faces I know. It's Logan, it's Garrett, it's Hannah, all of them except for Dean. And then she goes and he's having a party. Yeah, no. No. No.
SPEAKER_01No. It's like it's unforgivable. Yeah. Unforgivable. I hated that, but I was so happy that Allie was like, I'm not doing this. No. Like she's like, I'm done. And he's like, what do you mean? Like, what do you what do you think she means, Dean?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So a girl can only take so much. Yeah. Oh, damn.
SPEAKER_01And it sucks. It really does suck because, like, obviously, Bo dying like was so terrifying. But the way she explained it, though, she was like, Bo's parents are at work. Bo's sister's living her dream. Like, Dean will move on. Dean didn't even make it to the memorial. That was also brutal. Fucking brutal.
SPEAKER_02He was the only one. And then when she got back home, he's in his suit, like just like with a bottle of scotch or something. Like, oh god.
SPEAKER_01When she said that Bo's sister sang, oh no, my heart was like, no, thank God. I can't take this at the end. Thank God it wasn't like an audio situation where we got her singing because I would have been done. Done.
SPEAKER_02Call it call it.
SPEAKER_01Call it quits right here.
SPEAKER_02No, no, no. Yeah. That would have been so sad. Yeah. So then at that point, he has ri hit rock bottom. He's going on like this apology tour. He apologizes to everybody. He apologizes. Literally. To his friends, to the coaches, to his team, to the little kids' team, and then to Allie. And she's just kind of like, well, we'll see, we'll see, whatever. Like, she doesn't really want to give in all full.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, she doesn't want to give in full. She's like, I've never been single. Maybe this is my time. You need to figure your stuff out. And then I get to figure my stuff out.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. And so they don't talk for a month, but like she she does miss him. Obviously, she loved him. Until at one point, his apology tour, he goes to his parents because he's gonna tell them, I don't want to be a lawyer, I'm not going to Harvard. I want to coach kids. So while he's in Manhattan, Allie's dad has like an episode because he has an MS, which we didn't even say. So he goes to check on him. And when he comes back, like, you know, him and Allie just kind of hash it out and they rekindle. They rekindle. She's like, Thank you so much for checking on my dad. Yeah. And so they got together again. It was a happy ending. But damn, damn Bo dying was crazy.
SPEAKER_01No. And then the ending you drops the bomb saying Tucker walks into the room and he's like, I'm having a baby. And they're like, excuse me, with who? Fucking Sabrina. And then it ends. Literally. Immediately starts reading the book for same. Immediately. Unfinished series are crazy. Yeah. I don't know how we'd be doing that. No, me either. No, I know. I can't, I don't like that. So then we get into the goal.
SPEAKER_02Goal. Yes. We get into the goal. So it's Tucker, like we said, he's the fourth member of this, like, the hockey team. And Sabrina, she comes from like, she she's saying it was like the Boston Slums or something like that. Yeah. She's at like something. The slums of Boston. Yeah. She lives with her grandmother and her weasel as fuck disgusting stepfather of Ray. Yes. So she's like working her way through college, two jobs, like just insane schedule, just to make it out because she's going to Harvard. She wants to go to Harvard. Well, she wants to go to Harvard so she can get her ass out of the slums. Yeah. And so Tucker and her have like this one night stand at one point, and then they kind of see each other until she fucking realizes she's pregnant. Which I loved that Tucker was the one that said, um, you sure you're not pregnant? He just like he was that guy. He was it. Yeah. I love that. So that's like what we're saying, like realistic events, you know. Like the guy's like, are you sure? You've never once talked about your period. Literally. She's like, How late are you? She's like, two months. Maybe, you know, maybe something's going on.
SPEAKER_00Yep.
SPEAKER_02And so she gets pregnant. I was also kind of like put off? Yeah, maybe put off about like the idea that she just didn't know what to do and like it was taking her so long, and like she just wasn't communicating with him. He's like, Have you even like thought about it? Have you even gone to the doctor? Like, he just she was just so not communicating with him.
SPEAKER_01She was just so fucking frustrating.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, because I mean I get it. Like, she's been on her own this entire time. She can't count on anybody, she's never counted on anybody. I get it, but like Tucker was there.
SPEAKER_01He has never once shown a bad bone to her. Yeah, yeah. And that was what was so annoying. That was what was annoying. And she knew that. She knew this man was the dependable person that, like, if she could have gotten pregnant by anybody, it would have been him. And she's still like, ooh, no, I don't want to ruin his life. Like, girl, at the end of the day, like you're having a baby. It is what it is. No, like what? You'd rather be alone raising a kid than not want to ruin somebody's life. Like, no, two, it takes two to tango, like everybody was saying in this fucking book. I also thought it was so funny how she was the one who who grabbed the tip and put it in. I was like, okay, I love that, because Tucker would not. No, but you know, he's like, hold on, darling. Yeah, darling, please. Hold the fuck on. I was annoyed with her thinking that he had so much money. Like every single time, like he paid for a drink and lunch, which was what, twice? He's sweet and earnest and clearly has money. Whereas I'm bitchy and stressed and live in the gutter. Like, girl, he bought you lunch twice. No, I feel like she was just very hard at communicating her feelings. Did you expect that she was gonna be a stripper?
SPEAKER_02She wasn't a stripper.
SPEAKER_01You're right. Sorry about that. Did you expect that she was gonna work at a strip joint? No. Yeah, me either. When they were like they had mentioned the boots and shoots, and I was like, oh cool, she works at like a bar. Mm-hmm. No, she ended up being a strip club. No, once they started talking about the strip club, and I was like, oh, that's where she works.
SPEAKER_02When they did go to the strip club, oh my goodness. And Tucker was like, No. I'm gonna beat the shit out of everybody. Literally not having it. Love. But he was so freaking cute. He's like, what time do you get off? And she's like, at two. And he's like, Alright, do you mind if I wait for you? And she's like, No, it's fine. And I like that they went home and like he saw where she was from and he he fucking met Ray.
SPEAKER_01And that was another thing that was pissing me off. But she's pregnant and she's okay with having her baby live with Ray. I could not deal with her. Like, I and then finding out it was a girl and you're still gonna be bringing around your baby with Ray instead of figuring out something with Tucker.
SPEAKER_02I couldn't believe her. I didn't understand her. And Tucker, the man he is. The man he is was so patient trying to figure it out. Somebody asked him, I don't know who asked him, like, why didn't you move in with Sabrina? And he's like, wouldn't it be fucking nice to know? I don't know. Wouldn't it be fucking nice to know? Because she doesn't want to. Fucking bitch. Yeah. I do not like her. She was so annoying. I was so over her. I feel like at that point it was kind of giving like you are perpetually like making your life miserable. Mm-hmm. Like, like, let him help.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's giving like exactly. Yeah, it's giving exactly that. Like somebody who keeps victimizing themselves to not grow. I'm like, girl, it takes two to tango. Like, you don't think this is gonna affect your life too? Like, I don't I don't understand. Her grandma's a bitch. Yeah. Like, I was like, why are you like to me? This is where I get pissed off because you know, like you grew up a certain way. Like you know how it is. You're grown now. So you're bringing a kid into this life, right? And you know, it is what it is, you're doing it. Why are you gonna continue being the way that you are? Yeah, we gotta do it. If you have valid resources around you, use them to not let that kid grow up the way you did. I don't understand that. You're a big girl, put your big girl fucking panties on and move on. Don't let your kid stay in that stagnant, not great household. Yeah. I don't understand. No. So it was just pissing me off.
SPEAKER_02And she only moved out because Tucker went in and beat the shit out of Ray and was like, Sabrina, we're leaving. Like bye. I'm I'm done. I'm dumping fucking nice Tucker. We're fucking gone. Which he should have done at the beginning.
SPEAKER_01He should have done at the beginning because Ray was being a gross motherfucker. Like almost assaulted her. Yeah. At the end of the day, if Tucker wasn't there, he would have. He literally would have. With her baby on her boob. And the amount of times that she And she kept backing him up. That shit was so fucking annoying.
SPEAKER_02She thought he was only broke. Yeah. Like, oh, she he's never put a hand on me.
SPEAKER_01Oh, and the way he talks to you and the baby is good?
SPEAKER_00Come on now. Come on now.
SPEAKER_01I was like furious toward the end of this book. Like she was literally like, there was one part she was like, Are you seeing someone else? Bro.
SPEAKER_02Or she's like, you can. You can see you can see whoever you want. He was like, Can you shut the fuck up?
SPEAKER_01Literally, and every time it was like his jaw tightens, I can tell that that's not what he wanted to hear. Oh, of course not. He likes you. He loves you. And I think that's why everybody was such a bitch to her. Because we haven't mentioned yet, but his mom, when she met her, was such a bitch to her. Yeah. Everybody definitely treated Sabrina like shit. Dean was a fucking bitch. He made her cry in this book, which I was like, Dean. Yeah, no. I did not like that. I didn't like that. But think about it. I think everybody was seeing that Sabrina was not giving Tucker what he wanted. That's true. Which wasn't love.
SPEAKER_02Only Tucker like knew her like very, very deep down.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. But everybody could see that she wasn't all in it with him. And I think that's what pissed everybody off. Obviously, you don't you shouldn't talk to somebody like that, especially if they're pregnant. Yep, please. But like the mom could see it, Dean could see it. Like everybody kind of knew her friends were like, What the fuck are you doing? Yeah, like everybody knew that she wasn't trying to give her all to him, and that's not fair to Tucker. No.
SPEAKER_02Oh, but she was so stupid. Like, even when there was one part where she was with her friends, and he's like, Oh my god, Sabrina, like what are you doing? Like, let me take you out. And she was like, No. And then she left and she literally tells her friends, I'm so stupid. Like, you are.
SPEAKER_01You are stupid.
SPEAKER_02So they literally had to fucking the friends have to do a double date so that way she could go out with Tucker. I'm like, girl, are you okay?
SPEAKER_01Are you fucking okay? Which I love the double date, by the way. It was super funny. Karen was so fucking funny. Yeah. Like Karen and Fitzy, I love them. Karen is also quick to examine the goods. Now that's what I'm talking about. Well, hello there, manaconda. She was so funny.
SPEAKER_02In front of everybody, dead. It was really cute. At least she had her friends, Jesus Christ. Oh, oh my god, no. Okay, so this is the part where Bo dies in this book. Oh. And so it's Garrett, Logan, and Tucker. And so it's like that P.O.B., right? They're all like just hanging out in the kitchen, hee-hee ha ha ha ing. And Garrett's like, oh, it's Coach. Hey coach, what's up? I don't understand. Why did Pat ask you to call me? He listens for much longer this time. Whatever Coach Jensen is telling him, it's turning Garrett's complexion to paste. By the time he hangs up, he's as white as the walls. Logan goes, What's wrong? Garrett shakes his head, looking stunned. Bo Maxwell died. And then it's what? Logan freezes. I drop the spatula I'm holding. It clutters onto the floor, and in the silence of the kitchen, it sounds like an explosion from a war film. We all flinch at the noise. What? Bo Maxwell died. What do you mean he died? Is this some kind of sick joke? I was like chills all over my fucking body. Yeah. Cause like they actually got like the the the actual news. Yeah. After this whole thing happens, like we mentioned in Dean's book, we Tucker finally tells all of his friends they're having a baby. Dean was just so fucking rude, which I mean it makes sense of what you're saying, you know, like he was mean. Yeah. And so he goes, Why didn't she get an abortion? And that was fucked. Like that, that that was a little like And so it says Dean's question elicits a gasp from Allie, frowns from the guys, and an angry scowl from me, because we decided to keep it. I say. I'm pretty sure they've never heard me snap at anybody before. Usually I don't, but Dean is treading dangerously close to I'm going to beat him senseless territory. I get that he doesn't like Sabrina, but he will damn well show her respect, even if she's not in the room. And then Garrett being Garrett and is like, okay, let's relax, okay? Love Garrett.
SPEAKER_01But like Dean, Dean was a fucking bitch. But like when he talked to her and he was like, if you were all in it, Tucker would have already had the ring on your finger.
SPEAKER_02So valid.
SPEAKER_01Like so valid.
SPEAKER_02Sabrina, you fucking suck. Like, man, but no, Dean was like acting a little insane. Yeah, no, I agree with that. And he's like, What about Harvard? Is he s is she still gonna go? Yes. Does she know how time-consuming law school is? Of course. So she's dumping all the responsibilities on you. And then so Tucker's like, no, we're sharing the responsibilities. More head shaking. Swear to god, if he doesn't stop doing that, I'm going to rip his blonde head right off of his neck. And then Ali says, Dean, and then Dean goes, I'm sorry, but I think it's crazy. That girl's colder than I. She's just mental. She's and then he goes, the mother of my child. Ooh. Like Dean. I'm like, Dean, shut the fuck up.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, shut up for real.
SPEAKER_02Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01But that was crazy. The whole Dean part. All of it was. I don't like at the end of the book how like I didn't get a good closure for them two.
SPEAKER_02For Dean and Sabrina?
SPEAKER_01For no, for Dean and Tucker. Like Dean and Sabrina had their little moment. They were like, Yeah. Handshake. But this is the one of the parts where we were saying how she goes, Are you seeing anyone? I ask in the most casual voice I can muster. He's like, Are you kidding me? And she's like, You stopped texting me. And he's like, I'm giving you space. Because that's what you fucking need. Because you literally make no fucking sense. You're hot and cold, bitch. God. And she's like, it'd be okay if you were. And then he goes, Oh, a muscle in his jaw jumps, and the grip around my shoulders grows uncomfortably tight. Okay, I pegged that one wrong. You're stupid. Literally. Like you're stupid. Like she was giving, like, really thinks she's unworthy of love. I don't know what the fuck her problem was. Literally. And then he and then finally he sighs and puts his sunglasses on. No, I'm not seeing anyone. Under his breath, I hear him say, apparently not even you. Valid.
SPEAKER_02Shit. She she was so annoying. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I was like wondering if there was gonna be more of a blow-up at any point about that, but you know what I thought was so fucking cute? Where's there? I asked carefully, though. I'm not sure I want to know the answer. Newborn CPR, Garrett explains. We took a course at the campus health center this morning. So cute. They were fighting for Godfather, it was so funny. So cute. No, and the fact that they went and took a newborn CPR course, I was like, Love. These are the type of friends that should be godfathers. Yeah. Like, and Sabrina's like, what makes you think I want to get make one of them godfather? Like, bitch, shut up. She was an actual bitch.
SPEAKER_02Tucker was like, No, I know. Just kidding. It's fine. It's a game. No, the more we talk about Sabrina, the more we hate her. So annoying. Point of the story. They have the baby, the whole birth was really cute. Tucker was just being so supportive and nice and beautiful. Man, he is. Afterwards, they're kind of trying to co-parent. She's but like, and she's just like, even like when she goes home from the hospital and like Tucker has to leave, and she's like with the grandma and Ray. And I was just like, ugh, I hate this. Yeah, I didn't like any of that. I hate that. Until finally she says that he's like giving her space or like she she thinks he has somebody else. He felt he like fell for somebody else.
SPEAKER_01But in reality, he's actually finding a good business venture that he wants to go into. Yeah. And he buys a fucking bar. Love. I wish I could buy a bar. That'd be so fun. So fun. A bar with a living space on top. So your baby daddy's gonna be at work right under you. Like, come on. You're gonna be chilling. Love. And so he moved her in and he was like, okay, I don't give a fuck. I like make an executive decision. You're moving in. And it was a fully decorated nursery.
SPEAKER_02Ugh.
SPEAKER_01Tucker.
SPEAKER_02Loved him. At the end of the day, what finally happens with just like crazy? Like, there's like 10 pages left of the book until she finally she has a spat with the mom because the mom's like, You're a fucking bitch, basically. Yep, ballad. Tucker's now like providing for you and this and that, and you're out there studying with other men or whatever.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Sabrina says, I have so much respect for you. I've only been doing this mothering sh stuff for four months, and I screwed up probably a thousand times. It's hard. And I have Tucker, your amazing son, helping me every inch of the way. I can imagine how you did it on your own, but I'm not going to let you insult everything I do in this place. This is my home. Yes, I'm not perfect, but I'm trying. I love Jamie and I love Tucker. And if at any time Harvard or work or anything threatens their happiness in any way, I would give it all up in a minute. He hears her from the door and he's like, what was that? He's like, You love me, huh? Huh. Finally. God, what what percentage was that? 97. 97. No. No, no, no, no. And anyways, hold on. Because I have this fucking highlighted. Basically, he's like, why didn't you say anything sooner? Because I was scared and because I wasn't sure if you actually love me back. Bitch, get out. Yeah. And then he goes, Are you kidding me? I lost my head for you the second we met. You know that.
SPEAKER_00Annoying. Annoying. Whatever. Annoying. Whatever.
SPEAKER_02Another happy ending, I guess. But yeah, I don't know. I did not really like Sabrina. I love Tucker. I did not like Sabrina.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I think he definitely could have been up there if he had the chance.
SPEAKER_02A thousand percent.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so now that we're done with this, can we talk about the legacy?
SPEAKER_02Yes, let's talk about the legacy. So the legacy is basically novella of all four of the couples, right? So, like what I was saying before, the ratings, I don't know what the fuck was going on with the legacy, but all of them have this big ass fight, dramatic ass event. I'm like, L, this is not how we do a cutie little novella. Like, okay. Can we just have like happy and like not be fucking dramatic as fuck? So, um, okay, so it starts off and it's Logan and Grace. And I feel like theirs was the only wholesome one.
SPEAKER_01And it was it was like okay. That's the one I started reading. It was like them at the bar.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so they're at the bar. So the whole thing is that they're saying they're having a hard time because he went pro and so he's out of the town all the time. And so they're like, Yeah, like we still love each other, like we're not fighting or whatever, but you know, it is kind of hard. So Logan plans a surprise for New Year's Eve. They go to a BNB in Vermont. Obviously, on the way, there's a blizzard, and so they spin out and then they like are stuck in a ditch. Oh, I hate that. But it's New Year's Eve, so they call the tow truck, and the tow's like, Yeah, we'll be there in six hours. Yep. So they get stranded in the middle of fucking nowhere in the middle of a forest, and they're snowed into the car. But it was really cute. Like they had like this whole thing, you know, they were like laughing, they were fucking, they were giggling, they were, you know, talking, all of the things literally reminiscing everything. And so their part was really cute. That was basically the entire thing until they get the next morning. The tow truck comes, they get to the B, and the owners are like this really old, cute little couple, and the man is a pastor. And so they're like, Do you do weddings? And so they they were the ones that got loped. So the next one was Dean and Allie. So this part actually was Tucker and Sabrina's wedding. Oh cute. Yeah, so Dean Dean and Allie are at well, they're all at the wedding, but Dean and Allie's part starts there, and they're looking at Sabrina, and Allie's like, Oh my god, she looks so beautiful in her wedding dress, this and that. And Dean's like, Oh my god, like you're gonna look so beautiful in your wedding dress. So Allie's like, Well, then that's gonna be in like the way, way future, you know, like that's not now. Dean was gonna fucking propose. Oh. Of course. The whole first part of Dean's part was funny because he was he was uh like recreating the proposal to Garrett and Logan, and so he was trying out like what he was gonna say. It was funny. So Dean's like, holy shit, fuck, like, do I not propose? Do I not propose? No, he was going to propose anyways. Oh, after she just said no, and so we get her POV and she's like, like, we've had conversations. She says in her head she thinks engagement means marriage right away, babies right away. She doesn't want that. The steps, right? She she sees it all tied together, so she doesn't want that right now in her life. And she says that they've had multiple conversations and that they're on the same page and this and that, whatever. So he's getting ready to propose at like this really romantic dinner, and she's like, Dean, don't. Like she clocks it. Oh my god, don't do it. They get into this big ass fight. Like, he's like, What do you mean? And she's like, Like, no, like I've told you before, like, I don't want to get engaged right now. He's like, Why not? This and that. Like, he's getting pissed off. She's mad as fuck. They stopped talking for like a week or two, like ignoring each other. And I'm like, you know, I don't fucking like that shit. Don't like that shit. Don't like that. They weren't speaking at all. And what bothered me, what annoyed me with this part was oh, she's like doing a pl uh a show and they're wrapping it up, and so she's with our co-workers, they like go out to celebrate with drinks, and so she's like, I'm having an argument with my boyfriend because he was gonna propose. Like they they've met Dean and everything. And one of the girls is like, Well, why don't you just say yes? She explains hers herself, right? The coworker's like, that doesn't necessarily mean anything. Like, yeah, it can have a long engagement. You can have a long engagement. Maybe he just needs that like extra commitment from you. Like, what's the problem? Do you see yourself marrying him in the future? And she's like, Yeah, and she's like, So what's the fucking problem? Uh-huh. And so she's like, light bulb moment. Light bulb moment. They get back together, and then they she proposes to him. But my thing was, what annoyed me really, first of all, was that he acted like that. Because like he's really not paying attention to what she's saying. She said multiple times, I don't want to be engaged, I don't want to be engaged. Like, and then you're gonna go and spring the engagement on her. Didn't like that from him, didn't like that he completely got pissed off and ignored her. Don't like that either.
SPEAKER_01But they ignored each other.
SPEAKER_02Or it was him Well, no, she was trying to talk to him and he wouldn't. No, like he was be being childish, giving her the silent treatment. Don't like that. But what I didn't like about her is like you just have one conversation with your coworker and you're like, you're right. You're right. I should say yes. I don't like that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But you didn't think about that? You didn't think that? Or like what kind of conversations were you guys having?
SPEAKER_01I don't understand. See, okay, but like I can see that this could play this could play into her love persona, how she was always big about love and this and that. And maybe that's why she thought that engagement, marriage, baby.
SPEAKER_02I get that, but if you're so adamant about that Yeah. Then how are you just gonna, you know, like double down and say no? Yeah. I I don't like like if she would have said I don't know, like maybe hesitant, maybe yes, maybe no, I get it. You just need the extra push, you know, extra something to like say yes. She had said hell fucking no. We're not getting engaged, and then she's like, Please marry me.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Ew.
SPEAKER_02No. So I didn't like that.
SPEAKER_01With a woman proposing proposing, yeah, no, no, thank you.
SPEAKER_02But I didn't like that she just like switched up. I see. I didn't like that. Okay. Hold on. So the third the third couple was Tucker and Sabrina, they go on their honeymoon. So they go to the honeymoon to Dean's parents' house in like the Caribbean or whatever. So literally, it's like the vacation from hell. It starts off, their plane has like this electrical fire, they have to do an emergency landing, then they get to there and then with the baby. No, no, it's just them two. Oh, okay. Yep, it's a honeymoon. Oh, you're right. You didn't say that. They didn't break the baby. And so they finally get to the island and then they go in the water, and then he gets stung by a jellyfish, and then they both get like sunburnt as fuck, and then a coconut. Coco doesn't deserve this. No, literally. And then a coconut falls on her head, and then she gets knocked out. She deserves that. She deserved that. And so like the whole time they're like, Are you concussed or are you not concussed? This whole thing, right? And on top of that, they also meet this cute couple, this gay couple next door, and one of them one of them is uh a lawyer in Manhattan, and the other one is a fitness influencer or whatever. So they like hit it off with them, they go to dinner, they go to drinks with them. They have this whole spat during the honeymoon because one of the men is asks him, Oh, like, so what do you do, Tucker? And he's like, Oh, I own bars, and he's like, Oh, how is that? And he's like, It's okay, like it's not like very fulfilling. And she's like, What are you talking about? Like, she had no idea that he he wasn't like fulfilled in life. Of course she doesn't. And so she's like, I cannot believe you. Like, why like why have you not said anything? And he's like, Well, no, because I just like don't want to add anything extra on your plate. She had just graduated because she's such a fragile little thing, literally. And so she graduated she had graduated Harvard, and her big thing was she had to pick where she was gonna go work. And so one of the firms would have been like her dream, but it was like 90-hour work week, something crazy like that. Some stupid thing, something stupid, and then the other one was like less fulfilling, but it would have been like better work hours work life balance, literally. And so they're having this whole argument. She's he's like, You never put me first, I'm not a priority. This and that, thank you. Finally. Who was saying that? Tucker. Thank you. He's like, I'm not a priority for you. And like, I I like he doesn't feel like he can share, like, you know, he's having a hard time.
SPEAKER_01That is tragic. I think I would be so sad reading Tucker finally like shares feelings like that. No, and so she was just like, What the fuck? Like, why didn't you tell me anything? And because all you give a fuck about is yourself, uh, Sabrina.
SPEAKER_02So it was fucking brutal. So like Dean is on to something. So at one point he storms off, right? And he ends up getting arrested for like a false uh shoplifting charge. So she immediately goes to the jailhouse with the other lawyer guy and with a gay couple, and she's like, if you don't get my husband out of here, he is a U.S. citizen. I will have this place buzzing with lawyers. I am a lawyer, you better get him the fuck out. This is ridiculous, this is false. Where's your you know, evidence, this and that? So finally, after a few hours, he gets out, and he's like my hero. And so they finally rekindled. She's like, please, can you just tell me, you know, like when you're not feeling like great or whatever? And I promise I'll prioritize you. And he's like, Okay, I promise I'll be more honest. Which also that that was a very tucker thing to do of like not saying anything. Like, she's like, I asked you so many times, like how you're doing, like, how uh how's work? Like, is it fulfilling? Do you like it? You would just give her like one word answers. So it's like valid on both of those. Valid, valid. And so they they have the rest of the honeymoon really cute. It was like nice, nobody went to jail, no more jellyfish stings or coconuts falling. And so they're leaving and they're saying bye to the old couple. And the big lawyer Kahuna was like, Hey, I talked to my partners and um my firm in Manhattan, they do like the wrongful conviction cases. So like it's very, very fulfilling and it's way better hours. So, you know, I talked to my partners and we'd love for you to come on board. And she was like, What's so cool? And they're like, damn, but it's in Manhattan, like they'd have to move from Boston. Uh-huh. And so the other guy, the other couple guy, those well, Tucker, I also thought, you know, I want to start a gym franchise in Manhattan, and I'm not really good at like the whole like small business aspect, you know. I kind of need he said either like a CFO or a COO or something like that, you know.
SPEAKER_01So somebody to run the business. Somebody's business.
SPEAKER_02Uh-huh. And so that's how theirs ended with them like both getting the job offers. They're like, okay, we'll think about it. So we get Hannah and Garrett's, right? I did not like this. No, what happened? We knew Hannah was pregnant since the wedding. Okay. And she told Allie, she told all her friends, she told all the girls, and she didn't tell Garrett. She knew for two months before telling Garrett. Which I don't like that. Like, I get like if some girls like want to tell their friends before they tell their husband. Okay, two months. Two fucking months. She said, like, no, like, now's not the right time, or like, no, he's busy with hockey, no, this. I'm like, Hannah, what the fuck is going on? Two months. What is she waiting for? For the perfect opportunity. Okay. And so while she's having this whole fucking debacle, he is with his stupid ass dad. They they roped him into like doing like this the legacy show, which is like a father and son like going through the years and like it was kind of like a 60 minutes for the people. And so he's having like this he's like just like hates that because he's like, I'm gonna punch him in the face, like in the middle of TV. So one morning when he's filming the stupid show with his dad and he's already pissed off. Hannah calls him and he she's she leaves him a voicemail saying, Gary, I'm so sorry, like I didn't want to do this over the phone, but I'm pregnant and I'm bleeding, and I need you to take me to the ER because I don't want to go alone. So he gets that voicemail. Are you joking right now? No. He gets that voicemail in the middle of the fucking show. He's like, I gotta fucking go. I have an emergency. So he rolls over there and then he's driving her to the hospital and he's just like screaming at her in the car, which a lot of people didn't like that either. He's like yelling at her, like, how the fuck could you not tell me? Like, why would you wait this long? He's like, Allie knew, Sabrina knew, everybody knew who the fuck else knew, and like you're not telling me anything. And he goes, You're just like my dad. So people don't like that. She's like, What the fuck do you mean? I'm just like your dad. He's like, Yeah, like just like I don't know, I don't know. He like went into this whole fucking spiral. So he was spiraling, and they finally get to the doctor. The doctor's like, it's okay, like spotting is normal. The ER doctor's like, it's fine, everything's okay. They give him ultrasound, and he's just like, Holy shit, like, what the fuck? We're actually gonna have a kid. And so she was pissed, she was fucking livid. She was just ignoring his ass. She was not talking to him until finally he's like, I'm sorry, like I didn't mean it. I love you, like, please don't leave me. She's like, What the fuck are you talking about? Yeah, and he's like, I saw the realtor's name, and she's like, 'That's for my parents, you dumbass.' And so they were like, Oh, so you're not leaving? No. And so, like, they were very happy about the baby after that. At the end of that one, they find out that they're having twins. Oh, it's so cute. Yeah. So they're having twins. And so the whole thing about L Kennedy and the universe. Okay. So the spin-off of off campus is Briar U, which is kind of like the the the students who were like freshmen, sophomores, and juniors when when they were seniors. So like Fitzy, yeah, the youngest. Yeah. Like Hunter and all that shit. Like Hunter and all that shit. Yeah. And so that's that's Briar U. And then they also have a second generation of their kids. Oh. So that's adorable. It's funny. So I'm like, I I guess we'll see if we read those. Love that. Oh no. And the one thing I really did love about the legacy, which was like my favorite part of this, was for Tucker's Bachelor Party. The guys, they blindfolded uh Tucker and they took him to the TD center, which is where they the professional team plays hockey. And he undoes the blindfold, and all of the teammates from all of the past years are there. Like the the birdie was there, Paulus, Bitsy, everybody. And this was like years after. And so it was really cute. So they all played hockey at the TD Center for Tug's Bachelor. I was like, this is so wholesome. Yeah. It was really, really cute. Love that. All right. So do you want to do good reads? Let's do it. Okay, so this is the score. This is Dean and Allie. So this is five stars. Y'all, who let this book take me on such a roller coaster? Once I saw this book with Allie and Dean, I was like, this is gonna be just such a fun read. I'm just gonna be vibing the whole time. And let me tell you, vibe I did. Yes. However, the last 70-ish pages, the ending, I'm sorry, what? I reread the last 70 pages at least three times to fully grasp what the fuck had happened. Anyways, Stan Allie and Dean forever. They are such a fun couple. The way we got to see the growth of these two people, not just together but also separately, insane. Loved every second of it. I will be playing you and your hand nonstop in honor of the iconic couple. Aww. This is another one. So this is three and a half. This was such a fun read. I really do enjoy how refreshing the storyline was compared to the others. Allie and Dean do not bullshit, and they are the funniest people in this entire series. Like I said, they don't bullshit around, and I'm glad Allie got her kinky fix with Dean, and the man just took it. No questions asked. Sean can walk off a cliff. I've never wanted to punch a fictional character so hard. This series is consuming me. I don't know what sort of drugs were out in these books, but I'm entirely addicted. The best book of the series so far. There, I said it. Dean and Allie are my all-time favorites. I couldn't get enough of them. Of course, the most toxic man in the series has my heart. That's funny. Literally. Dean, I'm Feral. I'm a Dean girly, and I'm not afraid to say it. I love this man so much it isn't healthy. No, like I'm feral. Okay. This is four stars. This is the last one. It says another winner. I adore the series and I love this book. I really did. Dean is my favorite in the series. The book contains all elements I love in the college romance genre. A man who a man whore turned prince charming hero, a strong and determined heroine, and lots of steamy and lol moments. So why not five stars? Allie and Dean's relationship seems a little superficial. The relationship is based on sex and watching soap operas. Don't get me wrong, they are really a perfect match, but I didn't really feel their love. I agree with that. Alright. That that was it for me. You wrote that. Like, this is my reveal.
unknownI was just kidding.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so this is three stars. If Sabrino was a bitch. Sabrina was a bitch, but also people don't really like the pregnancy trope, which I didn't really mind it in this book. Like I that was like a second thing for me. Like I didn't really care about it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, this is very normal. Very. If it happens, people get pregnant. Yeah, we we continue.
SPEAKER_02Anyways, three stars. If there's anything I hate in this world, it's a surprise pregnancy trope. No thank you. This was enjoyable overall, but it felt like I was reading about characters playing house, which was exactly what I read. This part made me laugh. It says, I personally didn't connect with Tucker as much as I wanted to. Maybe that's because he's a ginger. Part of me believes gingers don't deserve rides, but I'll survive. The shit was so that's crazy. So this is five stars. Okay, ladies, we have a new winner, Tucker. Sigh. First of all, I want to say I love Garrett to the Moon and Bag. First book, the deal. He's my favorite in the series, and the other boys were sweet too, Logan and Dean. But Tucker, my god, I really, really loved him a lot. The guy was hot as fuck, but also he's so kind and thoughtful, too. I highly recommend this series for everyone. Cute. That's a nice review. I like that one. This was three and a half. It says, absolutely love Tucker, a southern gentleman who would do anything for his girls, made my heart melt. Sabrina was such a bad bitch too. I loved her. But unfortunately, the pregnancy trope just wasn't my favorite. I didn't enjoy this one as much as the others, but if you like that, then I'm sure you'll love this book. This was one and a half stars. Just no. The book was super boring, and I wanted to get it over with as quickly as possible. They didn't even say I love you until the very last few pages. There was one point where they weren't even together, which was both confusing and weird. Yeah. Sabrina was also way too stuck up. I don't know how Tucker put up with her. I understand that her stepdad was a horrible person, but I don't understand why she acted the way she did around Tucker. The only good thing about this book was Fitzy. Oh yeah, I like Fitzy. And Fitzy is gonna be in the next series. Alright. This is five stars. Coming into the story, I had no idea of what I thought it would be like, and I'm pleased to say that what I got was definitely more. I don't think Tucker could have been a better guy all around. He was sexy as hell, yes, but he was also sweet, responsible, funny, supportive, smart, thoughtful, and so much more. Officially my favorite book in the series, John Tucker, best off-campus man, hands down. May this kind of love find everyone, because he is the greenest green flag uh to ever exist. I loved everything about Sabrina and Tucker, their dynamic, her strong personality and independence, and of course Tucker's complete dedication and patience. Listen, this man is the hottest ginger ever, and of course I support. I fear it's the daddy thing again. But yeah, the best couple hands down. I love them so much. Okay, so the legacy, right? Book five. No good reviews. I'm not even gonna lie. Ooh. Elle Kennedy really succeeded in ruining these characters for me. She managed to change the entire character's personality in one book. While reading some parts, I really wondered if she even knows her own characters since they were often unrecognizable. Ugh, so disappointing. Two stars. This was supposed to be all cute and nostalgic, but this shit made me lose my brain cells. I kept opening the other books in the series to see if I'm even reading the right people. Elle just went ahead and said, Let me delete who they were and let me write new characters. Like, excuse me, if you can't even write about their own characters properly, then you shouldn't write a new book about them. Also, this was filled with so much drama, secrets, and just plain ass unnecessary communication problems. Yep. We hate uh miscommunication trope. Literally. So she like goes on to describe all of them, right? And so it goes, Hannah and Garrett were the last ones. By the time I reached their part, I was bored and angry, so I don't even know how I actually felt about them. This part kind of made me sad and not in a good way. Also, their part definitely was the best of all of them, but it's still disappointing. Two stars. I have a few things to say, and the rant can't wait to leave my body. But this thing summed up into three main thoughts. Here it is. Selective amnesia. If you are there listening to my prayers, please work now. This novella could be my thirteenth reason. Then it says the second point. I think each author should read this and take notes on how to not write a novella about their characters. Third, L Kennedy, I'm sorry to tell you this, but you are now an international criminal. Lock your doors. Oof. Literally. And so she literally goes on a rant about all of them. Says Garrett and Hannah was like a two and a half stars. Someone hold me because I'm about to kill a bitch. This is like a semi-good review with four stars. This is the most perfect conclusion to these amazing couples. Each couple's story was absolutely perfect. I love getting to go back into the minds of my favorite people and revisit this world. It's the best way to get a glimpse into their lives. Ooh. Two stars. I don't really want to express my thoughts on this. That was me. This is the last one, one star. I have nothing positive to say about this at all. And in the most disrespectable way possible, it's probably the worst thing I've read this year by a long shot. And I've read a book about the English Civil War in the 1600s, so that's saying a lot. I don't know who these people were, but they weren't my off-campus characters. Every single one of them was mostly acting out of character. Anyways, I wouldn't waste my time on this because it just gives off bad fanfiction vibes.
SPEAKER_01Ooh.
SPEAKER_02So I was like, there you go, Karina. Thank you.
SPEAKER_01You didn't miss much. I appreciate that. I'm so happy I didn't miss much. Yeah. But it was weird. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Like I wish it wasn't so dramatic and like bad.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you wish it was a good time. Like people visiting each other, having a good time.
SPEAKER_02It was okay. But I I enjoyed the series. I did really like the series too. It was cute. Yeah. Even if even if it was college, because I'm not like Yeah, college is a little funky sometimes. Sometimes. But it was fun. It was a fun read.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I enjoyed it. And I can't wait to watch the show.
SPEAKER_01I can't wait to watch the show. Is it time? Yes, let's do it. Let's do it. Let's get the fuck out of here. Read responsibly, guys. Or don't.
