"To the Congress of the United States and the Legislatures of the Fifty States:

We look back and see the little red schoolhouse—a symbol of community, self-reliance, and local control. But today, we look at your legacy and see only the gray walls of federal compliance. You have replaced houses of learning with institutions that resemble minimum-security prisons—warehouses where the culture is dumbed down and the mind is institutionalized.

The Supreme Court has long held that the child is not the mere creature of the State. The fundamental right to direct the upbringing and education of the child belongs to the parent alone, yet you continue to enforce a monopoly that suffocates that right.

You claim to seek the betterment of the Union. You claim to value the future of our Republic. Yet you fund a system that has failed generations of Americans.
