Same drive, different location." In this episode of *Billionaire Discipleship™*, we break down what happens when your street instincts collide with Kingdom execution. Pulling from a classic Charles Spurgeon framework, we unpack the three distinct calls of the Apostle Peter and map them directly onto a modern street perspective.
A lot of dudes are out here chasing the fast money because it’s easy—you get a pack, you flip it, you re-up. But the same compounding principle applies legally to the stock market, real estate, and business infrastructure. God doesn’t just want to change your income, bruh—He’s trying to change your identity. If you’re ready to stop letting your old street heart run your current show, tap into this blueprint.

Welcome to *Billionaire Discipleship™*—where building wealth, street wisdom, and serving Christ collides, but it doesn't divide. Have a blessed night. 🥊🔥
Welcome back to Billionaire Discipleship of Building Well, Street Wisdom and serving Christ collies, but it doesn't divide. I went from flipping fish scales to being called to catch souls, bruh. Same hunger, different heart. The thing is, bruh, the streets told me how to grind, bruh. But Jesus, he told me what's worth really grinding for, bruh. We're gonna go ahead and dive right into today's episode. Today, this episode is called Fish Scale the Fisherman. And I got some fire for you guys, bruh. So for for like I want people to understand, like I really got this whole thing when I was listening to a sermon from um Charles Spurgeon. I was listening to an off podcast. I was listening in, I think I was on the way to work at that time, bruh. Listen to it, and he was saying like uh about like Peter's call of Fisher, like being a fisherman and a fisher of men. Like, and I started thinking, like, and like I feel like the Holy Spirit spoke to me. He was like, yeah, look, bruh, you if you make an analogy about flipping fish scale to being a fisher of men, that's gonna hook people, bruh. And like people gonna really tap in, bruh. So like that's what pretty much today's episode is. I'm gonna take a little chunk of what Charles Spurge said, and then I'm gonna flip it into what I like I like from like from a street perspective and from like from my point of view and stuff like that. So here's the Charles Spurgeon quote that I I pulled from straight from a sermon. You must first be called yourself into Christ before you may dare to even so much as think about being called into the ministry or into the service of Christ. You cannot serve him until, first of all, you have learned to sit at his feet. Before you can serve God, you must have a new heart and a right spirit. The blind eye is not fit for the service of Christ. The eye must be illuminated, the understanding must be instructed. That stubborn will of yours cannot bear the yoke of Christ. And that's from Charles Spurgeon. And it's like I want people to really like capture, like you can even go back and re-listen to what I really just said, but like, like for for all, like, God really had to show me, like, you can't really let your street heart run your show, like, or run like your calling or anything. Like, God doesn't anoint the old you, He just replaces you. Like, you're a whole new person. Like, I want people to understand that. Like, like I get it, bruh. Like, keep the buck with you, but like, for real, like, even when I was in the streets, but like I like I truthfully had to give up like them fast flips from like flipping white, flipping pack, flipping pills, flipping anything I can get my hands on, scamming with the bins, like I I get it, jockey, like I completely get it, bruh. Like I want people to definitely understand what type of perspective I'm trying to paint, because it's like, yeah, you can make a lot of fast money in the streets, bruh. But I'm trying to tell you, bruh, like you gonna make so you gonna make so much money, more money in a legal way, bruh. If you just for for if you follow, follow the word and then like follow like the tips that I'm like the thing is like you don't even gotta listen to me all the way, bruh. Listen to the people I put you on to, bruh. That's all you need, bruh. Like I'm gonna put you on to the right people, bro. I'm not gonna put you on to no phony people and like no people that like I personally don't even listen to. Like, like that's the whole point, like changing your mindset, like changing what you hear, changing your surroundings. Like, like I won't like I get it, bruh. Like, keep it a bucket dude, but like I was when I was in the streets flipping all that stuff, bro. Like I was making way more than what my people was making, but like probably at least three to four times more than what they was bringing in in a week, bro, or two weeks, bro. Like, and that's the whole killer about everything. Like, I get the fast money, like it's easy, man. Like, it's mad easy. Like, get a pack, flip it, get another pack, flip it, take both of that, get another pack, flip it, get two. Like, I get it, bro. It's the same thing with the stocks, bro. It's the same thing with real estate. It's the same thing with business, it's the same thing with just like you can start a business with someone else and understand, like, yo, they gonna make me money on the back end. When they give me my money back, I can go start somebody else's business. You could be plugged in all around the all around the town, bruh. And that's what I'm saying. Like, you don't gotta you don't gotta do the fast money, bruh. Like, like I get it, bruh. And that's where uh pretty much Charles Spurgeon goes into like the three calls, like Peter, and I want to show like the modern day street perspective level from each call, from what he said. So like Peter's this is this is I'm gonna use his three calls, but I'm gonna go into like my perspective of those three calls from a like a street perspective and stuff like that. Like, like, alright, so like this is Peter's first call. Um, Peter's first call was Jesus pulling him out of his old life, like, and don't worry, bro. I got I got some Bible for you guys, but Matthew 4, 18 through 21. One day, as Jesus was walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon also called Peter and Andrew, throwing a net into the water for the fish, for they fish for a living, for a living. Jesus called out to them, come follow me and I will show you how to fish for people. And they left their nets at once and followed him. A little farther up the shore, he he saw two brothers, James and John. Pretty much they follow him too. I'm just getting, I'm not trying to like bore you out with the the not scripture and stuff like that, but like, you know what I'm saying? Like, I'm trying to like soak it in the time, time of conception. But uh, that's Matthew 4, 18. But pretty much he he said, like, look, bruh, like, I'm gonna paraphrase what Jesus said. He was like, look, bruh, y'all fishing for pe y'all fishing for them for them fish, bruh. I'ma to teach you how to catch people and for the right reason, bruh. Like, that's the whole point, like for the right reason. Like, that that's that's some good Bible right there, bruh. So it's like like for for like Peter dropped his nest, bruh, but like we gotta drop our old lifestyles, like same principles, but different demons. And I want people to understand, like, you gotta get out of that old lifestyle. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you gotta get cleaned up before you go to Jesus, but that's the thing. Like, if you willing to just drop everything, be like, Jesus, I'm gonna follow you, bro. Like, that's pretty much how I was. Like, I was chasing stocks or chasing fast life, got out of that, and was like, all right, I gotta, I gotta find some way how to get rich, bruh. And learn those stocks, and I found out, like, look, bruh. And it's like, I want people to understand, like, like, I had to get out of that lifestyle, but still also chase the fast life. But at the end of the day, Jesus told me, man, look, bro, he ain't actually sit me down, but he put people in my life and was like, look, bruh, you can make a lot of money, but you gotta make it for the right reason. And for the right, like, if you just want it for yourself, that's that's not for the right reason. Like, you gotta actually do it for the like the real right reason. But yeah, like I just I really want people to understand, like, like you you gotta be willing to drop everything and chase God, like, no matter even if you want the fast money, like you can still make money, bruh. Like, that's the thing. Like, I wish somebody would have told me this as like a youngin', but like you can still make a bag, bruh. You just you just gotta work hard, bruh. That that's all it is. Even if you just gotta work hard from the nine to five and then read the books and then get like work your way up, the embarrassing and booming. Like, bruh, by the time you 30, bruh, you're gonna you you're gonna have some you're gonna have some bread, bruh. Yeah, it might it might take you some time, bruh, but at least you'll be for one, you're gonna be alive. For two, you're gonna be you're gonna have a bag, bruh. What what sense is it does this does that not make, bruh? Like keep it a buck with you, bruh. So like we're gonna go ahead and go into the next part. I know I'm holding y'all up. So call number two, which is the call to a closer follow, which is like the discipleship call or the disciple call. So like I want people to like think like this is this like keep it above with you. This is where people really get stuck at the call too. Cause it's like, alright, bruh, like first, yeah, you might chase you might you might chase after God, read your word, do this, do that. But like you're not doing you're not doing the right things that you need you know you need to do. Like, you know you you could be working on this and that instead of watching a Netflix show, or watching a Netflix show that you probably shouldn't be watching, or whatever the case may be, or even if you're watching something like even like like you're watching just a sitcom or something like that, but like you gotta think, alright can I turn this time into something that God wants me to do to follow my purpose or whatever? Like that's the whole point. Like that that's why I said like this is what the the part where people get stuck at, because it's like, yeah, you you follow God, but you ain't gonna go to that next level. Like that's that's where God really gonna do the blessings at, bro. That's where, don't get me wrong, he's still gonna bless you either way, either way because he loves you. Like that's that's just a loving guy that he is. But I want people to understand, like, if you just cause you drop everything, chase God, what that look like in two or three years. You feel what I mean? Like, you gotta think, you gotta think like that. Like, alright, I'm gonna chase him, but like just cause I'm reading the Bible now, don't mean I can't pick up an actual book for a better interpretation of the Bible. Definitely if you got people like Charles Spurgeon, you got uh um Dallas Wheeler, you you got so many different theologians, bruh. And then like you got the new new folks out, like like people who spend business and uh Bible, like stuff like that. And it's like Jesus calls you again to step in closer, to walk with him daily and to obey him publicly, and like that's that's that's what I mean. Like that's that second step. Like, that's like alright, bruh. I'm not only gonna follow you, I'm not only gonna just read my word and study like the word of God, but I'm also going to obey you daily. Like try to do practices to get closer to you, this and that, like situations like that. That's that makes God think, like, dang, this person really wants my love. Like, I love this person so much. This person wants my love so much. Even though I'm gonna give you a little bit of hardships, but it's just gonna happen. Like, you get what I mean? Like, it's just gonna happen, bruh. Like, and you're gonna get through it, and I promise you, as long as you can have faith, you're gonna get through it, bruh. And it's like it's not about being perfect, it's just about being available, bruh. And like that's that's why that's why if you really genuinely look back at like how how like the Israelites treated God and like the um pretty much like how Mo like not saying just Mo, I'm just saying like just that whole generation and stuff like that. Like they was putting something above God, they wasn't being available for God first, like you get what I'm saying. So it's it's those type of moments, those type of critical, like little incre incremental moments. Alright, it's I'm gonna be available today. I'm gonna wake up early, read my Bible, do this, do that. Not only am I gonna do that, I'm gonna also show how it's gonna how it's supposed to be a Christian out in the real world, like out in public, right? I'ma donate, I'ma help out. Somebody need help. I'm gonna be helpful, I'm gonna be in a helpful manner. Somebody be rude to me. I'm not even gonna be rude back to him. I know I got I ain't even gonna hold you. I'm work, I'm still working this journal out on me, bro. Like I still got fire on me, bro. Keep the bucket, bro. But uh, because it's like that those are the incremental moments that like you gotta listen to God and obey him. Like, that's the whole public part of it. Like you you got to be able to to recognize the those God moments. Like just and it's so crazy. Like, I'll be sitting there and I'm and I'm doing like my work or whatever, because I work outside, so like I do my work or whatever, and I see somebody and something something this this is how I know it's God moments, bruh. As far as like for me, bruh, because it's like I'll be walking and I'll see somebody need help. And maybe I can't help at that time, but I feel bad about it, bro. Like, I feel like bruh, why didn't I go? Bro, I could have I could have asked somebody to do this real quick. Why I want to go help the lady or the old man struggle or whatever the case may be, but when I do help, like that's that's that point. Like, that's why I'm saying, like, publicly, bro. Like, he's not asking you to be perfect, he just wants you to be available, even if that means being available for somebody else. Dog, I'll try. I would I would go ahead. I would keep on going because I don't cut it close. Um, a lot of people love God, but don't be trying to walk with it. Like you saved on Sunday, but Monday through Saturday, discipleship in a moment, it's a lifestyle, but and I'm like, that's the whole point. Like, I want people to understand, like it's not just you doing good one time, bruh. It's you doing good. Not all, I mean, God gets it. Like, you're not gonna do good all the time, but like at least try. Like, that's all he's asking for. At least try, bruh. Like, and like that's where like God starts checking your habits, your circles, your your discipline. Like, that's where he really gets you at, bruh. Like, and this is where he starts touching your money, and like it's real, and then start doing this and doing that, like even and the oh, this is why I love God. Oh, this is why I love God. You could be struggling the whole time while you're in phase two, or the call to, as Charles Virgin was saying, to get deeper into Christ. You could be struggling financially the whole time. God is giving you a creativity spark, or He's giving you a thought, and you and you keep planning in that thought. Like, God, you telling me I'm gonna do this. I I'm gonna actually learn how to do this. I'll learn how to do this now. I'm gonna learn further how to do this. Not only am I gonna learn your word, but I'm gonna continue to learn this and continue to grow into this. Then in five and ten years, I'm gonna be successful in this one trade, and then you're gonna be able to flip this one trade into multiple traits. I'm just saying that's how God works, but He will put you in a season of struggle and then whole time bless you on the other end of that season. Like, and you'd be like, dog, I need to go through that season to get to this season. Like, even even now for me, like I that's why I feel like I'm personally at like and I I'm personally about to pick up this new book called Um, it's not new, but it's a new book that I'm about to read called uh U2 or U Square. And it's pretty much going into like where like God goes into like quantum the dude, the author goes into quantum leaps and how like fast like growth is in quantum leaps and stuff like that. And like like it just it is it's amazing, really, what God can do for for real. The thing is, it's amazing what God can do even when you don't even realize it, or you you sleep it on God, or you think you think it's gonna happen this way the whole time God gonna make it happen that way on a day on a whole nother flip, like that's that's the whole point, bruh. And in uh what's it called in uh James 122.5, but don't just listen to the word, you must do what it says, otherwise you are only fooling yourself. For if you listen to the word and don't obey, it's like glancing at your face in the mirror. You see yourself walk away and forget what you look like. But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don't forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it. Pretty much saying what I with the whole journal I was going into, like those little moments, like you gotta you gotta think about that. Like those those are the moments that God be like, do that for that person. Bless them with ten dollars. Maybe they need it. Maybe if you bless them with ten dollars, they'll talk about it with a s uh uh a conversation with somebody. Then that conversation with somebody can turn into a business uh venture. It and it it can't don't get me wrong, don't do it for that reason, but that's what I'm saying. Like that's how God moves in the background, like that's the whole point. Like, and it's like then this is the the real call right here, call number three. Call to the special assignment, which is the apostleship slash leadership, and this is when you stop just believing in God, like you start walking with him, letting him shape your character, your habits, your money, like your decisions, your purpose, your call, and all of that. Like, that's where he really gets to shape in you, bruh. Gets to be like, alright, bruh. He he did them first two calls, he proved himself. Let's take him all the way now, bruh. Like, and that's where don't get me wrong, this call isn't for everybody, and I don't want people to like think like, oh man, I'm messing out on this call, like nah, bruh. Like everybody can't be a leader, bruh. But like when you is a leader for God, he gonna use you, bruh. He's gonna use you, bruh. I guarantee you he gonna use you. So it's like so that's where I was talking about. Like, Jesus called some people to lead others, like not everyone is called to preach, like, or teach, or even lead any movement, bruh. Like, the thing is, bruh, yeah, I want people to understand. It's like alright, bruh, everybody can't be a leader. But if you follow a good leader, you part of the you're part of the crowd, bro. Like, you know what I'm saying? So it's like it's just like Jesus was the leader. He appointed other leaders. They appointed other leaders. They like, you know what I'm saying, just pass down, but like them people had to have followings, some people had to have not necessarily fans, but like fans for the for the word, like you know what I'm saying? So it's stuff like that, like, but like, but those who are God, God gonna equip you, bruh. God is going to equip you, bruh. And it's like God doesn't just save you to sit, he also saves you to sin, bruh. And it's like your story ain't just for you. Just like how my story, like how I be talking about like my street stuff, this and that, like trying to get away from this, trying to get away from the streets, trying to get away from this, but still trying to find a way to make fast money. Like that that's that's a struggle that a lot of young men have, bro. It's like everybody wanna be rich, bruh. I get it, bruh. All you gotta do is learn. That's all you're gonna do. Learn how to the thing is even if you don't wanna learn stocks, if you just learn the basic of economics and saving and interest and just the regular stuff that like the how to buy a house, how to do this, how when you buy a house, how to make it into a rental, like just the basic stuff like that, bruh. You're gonna make it bad, bruh. Like, that's that's the whole point, bruh. Like, that's the whole point of the fast money, but a legal way. The survival guide, but a legal way, like you know what I'm saying? So, like that's that's what this whole podcast is about. Pretty much talking about like the legal ways that you could do it, giving you, giving you some thoughts and giving you some quotes, and be like, alright, bruh, maybe if I go look up this person like Byron or Darius Daniels or Mike Todd or Craig Brochelle or any anybody like that, like Andy Stanley, like uh it's so many different people, bruh. Like, so many different people, bruh. Definitely the business books, bruh. Like, definitely if I put you on to a stock book, bruh, or a business book, bruh. I'm trying to tell you, bruh. I ain't gonna just put it put you on for no reason. Like, I don't just read books to read books, bruh. Like, sometimes books could be boring. Like the book I'm reading right now, like, ooh, this book, this business book. I know this is a little bit off topic, but I'm gonna just just a little bit of but like this is the whole point, like, like God. Pretty much broke down the whole uh Fed system, and now I'm learning the whole laws behind the Fed system in this book about like the Federal Reserve and stuff like that. So it's like I'm learning the rich man's game so I can play it and beat him at it, and then use my way from the streets of my survival guide that God showed me to then flip it into the market. You're gonna tell me that ain't gonna make a flip, bro. I'm trying to tell you, but like that's the whole point. Like some of y'all used to influence people in the streets, but like God wants you to use that same type of influence or the same type of leadership to influence the people in the ministry, influence the people in the church, and influence the people that God wants you to call or God called you to like to lead, like you know what I'm saying? So it's like uh uh like a Peter. He was a fisher, fisherman, like Peter, he was a fisherman to catch people, and Paul was a scholar for teaching nations, like that's like he's gonna use you differently, like he's not gonna just use everybody the same note, he's gonna use your unique background, your unique story, you your unique self, and then put it into a whole story, and then that way you can tell somebody else that's kind of going into not exactly what you're going through, but they went through the same house as family drama or same this and that. Like people, like the and I want a lot of people to understand, like, and I study a lot about the brain as well. Like, just because time grows doesn't mean that people don't stay the same. I'm not saying people can't change, that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying as far as like people habits, generational habits, like they start, you get what I'm saying, like they're in loops, and then you gotta break it, like stuff like that. It's like like like pretty much God looks at it like now that I change you, now that you walk with me, bruh, I'm sending you to change others, bruh. Like, pretty much to do exactly what what uh I called you to do, like exactly, bruh. And I'm gonna close it out with Matthew 28, 18 to 20, pretty much supporting uh the whole his whole claim. Like, uh, I've given I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth, therefore go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the same, in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands uh given you and be sure of this. I am with you always, even to the end of the age. So it's like that's pretty much like me, like as far as like me, like I used to, I used to move weight, but not moving a word, like stuff like that, like same job, but different location. Like, you gotta think of it like that. Like, you got the hustle, God gonna just bless you in a different way. Like, you know what I mean? So it's like I'm still learning how to walk this job out every day, but like I want people to understand, like, but I'd rather struggle with God to succeed without him. Like, that's just straight, straight facts, bro. Keep it a buck with you, bruh. And it's like, that's the whole point. Like, that is the whole point of this whole episode. I know I talked y'all heads off, bruh. But I'm gonna go ahead and close it out with this final bar, bruh. You don't go to fish scale to fishermen overnight, but if you stay with him, he'll change what you chase, bruh. He'll change what you chase. I didn't just try to change your income, bruh. He's also trying to change your identity. And that's the whole point of this episode, bruh. So it's like like I really hope people understand everything that I rapped into, and I kind of went off topic a little bit today, but like I really wanted to soak in exactly what what I believe God was trying to put in my heart. And I feel like I did it, I did a real good job with it, bro. Keep it a buck with you, um. But I'm gonna go ahead and let y'all go. Welcome back for Billionaire Disciple. So, we're building well, street wisdom, and serving Christ collies, but it doesn't divide. I have a bus night. Like and subscribe.
