Order My Steps: The Christian Journey
Life is a journey of steps—some certain, some uncertain, some guided, and some misdirected. My own journey began in darkness, behind prison walls, a place where hope seemed lost and purpose hidden. But even there, God was at work.
I was sentenced to ten years in 2000, served four years in prison, and completed the remainder on parole in 2012. During that time, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. It was in prison, in the quiet of my heart, that I first encountered God’s presence. I realized that even in the darkest places, He was ordering my steps.
This book is a journey—a roadmap for anyone seeking to walk faithfully with God. Through Scripture, personal testimony, and practical lessons, I want to show you that no step is wasted when God is guiding your life.

Winning In Difficult Seasons

Life can get loud fast: pressure at work, stress in your finances, trouble in your family, and that quiet fear that you’re spiritually running on empty. When nothing seems to go right, the biggest question is usually the same one: God, why am I going through this? We speak directly to that moment with a faith-filled reminder that your hard season may not be here to break you, it may be here to build you.
We ground the message in Scripture and real-life encouragement, starting with the promise that the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. If God is ordering your steps, then the delay had purpose, the setback had meaning, and the trial is not wasted. We walk through James 1:2–4 to reframe trials as spiritual training, then challenge the habit of letting a season become your identity. You are not your struggle. You are not your shortage. You are not your worst week.
From Romans 8:28 to Isaiah 40:31, we talk about endurance, renewed strength, and the kind of peace that doesn’t make sense on paper. We also hit a hard truth from Galatians 6:9: many people quit too soon, right before the harvest. And when doubt gets loud, we point to Jesus as the proof that what looks like loss can still lead to victory.

Welcome Back And The Journey
SPEAKER_00Grace and peace be unto you. This is your host, Reverend Corey Young, and you're listening to All of My Steps, the Christian journey. You thought we were gone, you thought the fire went out, but I stopped by to tell you tonight that we are back. We're back with purpose, we're back with power, we're back with the word from the Lord. This is not just another podcast. This is a journey. This is a journey of faith, a journey of growth, a journey of transformation. The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. That's Psalms 37 and 23. And if God is ordering your steps, that means every delay had purpose. Every setback had meaning. And every trial was setting you up for where you are right now. I don't know what you've been through, I don't know what tried to break you, but if you're still breathing, if you're still standing, that means God is not finished with your story. So whether you're driving, whether you're working, whether you're praying, or whether you just need a word, you're in the right place and at the right time. So sit back, open your heart, and let God order your steps. Today we're talking about something that's real, something every believer faces, and that is winning in difficult seasons. Not just surviving, not just barely making it, but learning how to win even when life gets hard. Have you ever been in a season where nothing seems to go right? You have pressure on the job, stress in your finances, trouble in your family, and spiritually, you feel drained. And you're asking God, why am I going through this? But what if I told you this season isn't here to break you, it's here to build you. Let's look at the word. James chapter 1, verses 2 through 4 says something like this Count it all joy when you fall into diverse temptation. Now I know that sounds crazy. How do you count it all joy? Especially when life is falling apart. But God says, He says this, he says, something is being produced in you. Your trial has a purpose. Your situation is temporary, but your purpose is permanent. And that's letting us know that seasons don't define you. You see, too many people let a season define their identity. I'm broke, I'm stuck, I'm struggling. No, that's just where you are, not who you are, but where you are. Romans 8 and 28 reminds us that all things, notice I said all things. The word of God says all things are working together for your good. Even the pain is working. So stop speaking defeat over temporary situations. That means those situations won't last long. Pressure doesn't destroy you, it reveals what's in you. Because what pressure does is pressure produces power. Think about it. Gold is refined by fire, diamonds are formed under pressure. And God is saying, I'm developing something in you that you couldn't get any other way. Isaiah 40 and 31 says, They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. Your strength is being renewed right now. Here's where most people lose. They quit too soon. Galatians 6 and 9 says, Let us not be weary and well doing. That means the harvest is coming, but quitting cancels the reward. So don't walk out in the middle of what God is trying to complete. You don't have to wait for the storm to end to have peace. Philippians 4, 6 and 7 says this God will give you peace that passes all understanding. That means it won't make sense. People won't even understand it, but you'll still have peace. Maybe you've been crying, maybe you've been struggling, maybe you've even been wondering, how is it going to work out? But let me share this with you. You're coming out of this season. You've been pressed but not crushed. You've been tried but not defeated. Because the same God that brought you to it is the same God that's going to bring you through it. And if you ever doubt that you can win in a difficult season, look at Jesus. He went through the cross, he went through suffering, he went through the burial. But most importantly, on the third day, Jesus got up. And that's your reminder today. You can win even after it looks like you lost. So if this episode blessed you, share this with someone that's going through a hard season in life right now. This is Reverend Corey Young, and remember that God order your steps even in difficult seasons. Let us close out with the word of prayer. Dear Heavenly Father, we come to you in the name of Jesus right now, dear Lord to Savior. Thank you for allowing us to share this word of God, dear Heavenly Father. Thank you for those who are listening, dear Lord. And we pray and ask, if there's anybody dealing with difficult seasons in their life, let them know that if they seek you and gain control of what your word says, de Heavenly Father, that you will see them through. We ask that you give them peace and understanding according to your will, that your will be done in their lives. So we offer this prayer in the holy and righteous name of your loving Son Jesus Christ. Amen.
