STAND UP!
Welcome to STAND UP! Formerly 3:31 podcast. This is a mental health, resilience, and personal growth podcast from Pitt Meadows, British Columbia. This show is about stress management, mental wellness, burnout recovery, and learning how to stand up for what you believe in.
You’ll hear real-life stories about resilience, mental health, and overcoming life’s challenges while learning practical ways to stay positive, cope with stress, and help others in your community.
In each episode, I interview professionals and community leaders from Greater Vancouver and across British Columbia who specialize in their field. They share inspiring stories, expert insights, and real-life experiences about mental health, self-improvement, resilience, and community leadership.
As the host of the podcast, I bring a unique perspective after nearly twenty years working as a frontline paramedic, where I’ve seen firsthand the importance of first responder mental health, stress management, and supporting others through difficult times.
This is a family-run podcast. My children and I create our own “Wayne’s World”-style commercials that are silly and fun. Each episode features a captivating conversation and an indie music track at the end of the show.
Come take a listen — it’s like sitting with a friend in a coffee shop on a sunny afternoon, talking about life, challenges, and ways we can make the world a little better.
If you have an idea about how to improve life in your community, or know someone with an inspiring story about mental health, resilience, or helping others, reach out to me on Facebook.
Enjoy the show. ☺️🇨🇦

STAND UP!
Introduction to my rebranded show!
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
In this episode, I talk about what the rebranded show is all about, what listeners can expect to hear when they choose an episode, and why I’ve decided to change things up a bit. It’s still the same format—just a little more nuanced and search-engine friendly. At the end of the introduction, I play a great new EDM track from Granada, a DJ from Barcelona, Spain. The song is called Out of Control. If you feel like dancing, go right ahead!

Welcome to Stand Up, uh Pit Meadows Podcast.
SPEAKER_02Hey everyone, and welcome to Stand Up, formerly 331 Podcast. Stand Up is a mental health, resilience, and personal growth podcast from Pit Meadows DC, Canada. This show is about stress management, music, and learning how to stand up for what you believe in. You'll hear real life stories about overcoming life's challenges while learning practical ways to stay positive, cope with stress, and help others in your community. In each episode, I interview professionals and community leaders from Greater Vancouver and across British Columbia who specialize in their field. They share inspiring stories, expert insights, and real-life experiences about mental health, self-improvement, resilience, and community leadership. As the host of the podcast, I bring a unique perspective after nearly twenty years working as a frontline paramedic where I've seen firsthand the importance of first responder mental health, stress management, and supporting others through difficult times. This is a family-run podcast. My children and I create our own Waynes World style commercials that are silly and fun. Each episode features a captivating conversation and an indie track at the end of the show. I'm having a ton of fun putting these episodes together. People tend to like them, and I hope you do too. So the podcast is being changed from 331 podcast to stand-up. Why? Well, because 331 is hard to search for and it's hard to explain to people what the show is about. Changing the name has allowed me to look inward and ask myself what I want from the show, and where do I want the show to go? One of the things I want my listeners to know is that you can still be creative even at the age of 47. Yes, that's my age, even though with all my white hair I look a lot older. I want people to understand that you can make small changes in your life to ease your anxiety and stress. But you can also engage in your community and make it better one step at a time. One person truly can make a difference. For example. At the end of high school, I started to reach out to politicians and express my frustrations with policy, and I made suggestions on how things can be better. And to my surprise, they wrote back and explained why they were doing things and they thanked me for my letter. I was nearly 18, and the premier thanked me, how cool is that? So as I've gotten older, that experience taught me that if you write letters and be respectful, that you can get a response and drive positive change. Later on in my life, when I was thirty-four, I helped put in a crosswalk near my townhouse in Port Coquillam. And recently, over the last two years, I've helped put in a school zone speedometer at my kids' elementary school, and I've helped implement a bylaw protecting trees on private property in meadows. I've done all this with just a pen and paper and some tenacity. These politicians are just like us, and they know if they don't make their voters happy, then they won't be serving another term. I encourage all of you to write to your local MLA or MP and advocate for a cause that is passionate to you and see what happens. In my experience, you will get a response, and it will make you feel like you're doing something to make your country a better place to be. Please email me at standuppodcast at outlook.com and tell me your experience. I would love to hear about it, and I'll mention it on a future episode. The link will be in the show notes below. I really appreciate everyone's support of the show. Your encouragement has made a huge difference. Podcasting isn't easy, and each and every one of you who is listening and reaching out to me, I want you to know how much it means to me, and I'm so grateful for that. I wish every one of you a wonderful day. New episodes come out every three weeks. I have a new episode coming out next Friday. Until then, be kind to each other, and I'll talk to you soon. I'm going to leave you with a really cool EDM track I like. Here is Grenada out of Barcelona, Spain. It is a wicked track. It's out of control. Check this out.
