In this episode Chase's mom makes a surprise appearance on the podcast and we read real reviews left by guests who were haunted during their stays at The Menger Hotel. Whether they heard whispers in the night, or saw apparitions in their rooms, one thing is very clear here... there are definitely ghosts in the bathrooms of The Menger Hotel. Aly surprises Chase with her own corny joke. Our crystal of the week is the life transforming, and highly aggressive chaos stone, Moldavite! Stay Chaotic!

Um, I'm actually starting a podcast. Yes. So it's gonna be called Feel, Heal, Rise, Stories After Silence. Um, and it's gonna be where people send in anonymous submissions of their stories of any type of abuse, um, whether it's relationships, sexual, parents, whatever, like any type is valid. Um, and I talk about their experiences and give people a voice um on the podcast, and they're all anonymous, and I am really excited. So that is beautiful.

This last Wednesday, my mother and I, actually last week, my mother and I gotten a message from a friend of hers that used to live with us when we were younger. And um she has she had address for our nanny when we were little that we haven't seen in probably 45 years, and she is the one that saved my brother and I from being taken hostage when my grandfather killed my grandmother.

So I went to an Odyssey festival today and bought way too much stuff. We can confirm, yeah, and so can our TikTok page. So um, if you're hearing this, yeah, a couple weeks ago, uh, we went to an Odyssey festival and got a lot of stuff. So uh video should be up by now for sure. Like video's up then, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Well, I mean, there's they're on our story right now, but like after we're this is going out in three weeks, so I'll probably edit an actual video and post it. So yeah. All right. I think we should get chaotic from here. If we haven't already, all right.

We're here, not three weeks later. All of this was recorded one night, but we're still there. We're still there. Uh, room's probably not haunted, I don't believe it is. Um, so um, for episode number three, we have reviews that people have left about the manger. And I think I have 15 of them, and some of them are really long, but uh, we're just gonna pass them back and forth essentially. It'll be a campfire story time, essentially. Yeah, I don't have um I don't have campfire sounds, but that's okay. Uh, we'll start with Erica and make a loop. And uh let's go. We'll start with a ga host and end with a host. You know, guest host.

Anyways, so this review says the hotel was very fun and even got haunted slightly with the toilet flush at four in the morning out of nowhere. Oh my god, but it was a very beautiful hotel. It is pretty well toilet flush at one o'clock in the morning.

Oh my goodness. Um, so this is Julie from nine years ago. Oh wow. I know, right? My stay was three, three, or four. I think four. Anyways, maybe you're not four. Anyways, nine years ago, my in-laws were in town to visit and stayed here. The ghosts were an attractive idea. They said they had an experience on their second night. I myself heard a voice right behind me when there was no one there. No, thank you. That's like when we had the dinger go off earlier when no one was there.

Let's see. This next review is from Bradley Clem. This was two years ago. April and Tim were absolutely amazing. I didn't get to meet them. They helped me out every time I was in need and explained some his history of the hotel. Had a nice day, but I definitely think this place is haunted. The bathroom door slammed shut in the middle of the night. Other than that, super great. These toys these ghosts really like the bathroom after hours.

Yes. My wife and I stayed here on December the 10th of 2021 to go see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. We had a great room, the staff was very friendly, and the bar was amazing. They say this place is haunted. Well, I can't say about that. I will tell you after checking, I went down to return the cart we used for her luggage. While I was downstairs, my wife was standing next to the bathroom, right next to the front door, and heard very loud knock. She opened the door immediately, thinking it was me as I had left my key in the room. The room was located across the long hall from the elevators. There was not anybody in sight near the elevator or down either side of the long hall. This place kind of reminds you of the movie The Shining Star Half-Shining Vibes. Have fun.

Your goal has happened finally. You used to joke about that all the time. You're like, it's finally happened. So this is from Brooke from five years ago. It's so long. It's so small. It's smaller than first. I can read it. I can, I should have cut it in half. No, I it would it would murder my eyes. A very okay. So this is Brooke from five years ago. A very novice and historic place. But we were a little creeper out. Keeper out. I think she means creeped out. But we were a little creeped out because of it being haunted. But we were looking to see if it was real. But at night we woke up to two old style males talking out loud at 3 a.m. We looked through the peephole, but no one to be found. But they were still talking. They weren't from today, and they had a New York's and European accent and were definitely from the past, but we couldn't figure out what they were saying. This person does not know the definition of a run-on sometimes. But as we were talking, we hear a female say, blow in their ear, saying, We couldn't see them then. We opened the door and still no sight of them at all. So we went back to the room and the air was heavy. We heard lots of whispering and the sound of a water drop, but big and loud in the morning. Oh my goodness.

It's the think ghost. Okay. In the morning, our curtains were moved completely. We were on the third floor by room 310 suite, which is the haunted room that the maid stayed in. But I probably wouldn't stay there just because I felt a little uncomfortable. But I wonder if you see anything or have seen or have, or if it's normal seeing someone has seen or or if it's normal if someone has seen the same thing. That person's English skills are non-existent. They were probably not English speaking. Let me tell you a secret. I had to figure out how like a quarter of the words in this thing. It said A-R-E and they meant O U R. And that is just exhausting. I'm like, R? No.

I first saw this hotel when I was 15 and got to stay in it 20 years later, July 2024. People ask if it really is haunted. My room was. I was spoken to in my ear by a female while I was getting dressed. Ew. That experience is really similar to the one you just read, too. Based on the other experiences, it seems like they like to spook when you're alone. I'm not afraid, so I was able to stand my ground and ask for courtesy.

Asked to stay in the original rooms as husband loves the stories of the hotel being haunted. I was a non-believer. Saw an outline of a woman in my room the last night. This happened more than once. Now I'm a believer.

I've always wanted that to happen to me for some reason. In the driscole, when my when we were at the dry school, my mom said that it felt like someone kept like adjusting the sheets throughout the like tugging it just to adjust it. But after we did our EMF session and we went to bed, I was laying there in bed and like I'm just like laying there and like I wasn't even about to fall asleep. Like I'm listening to the TV or whatever, right? And I'm just like laying there and out of nowhere, it literally felt someone, it felt like someone like sat down on my bed, but like tired sat like yeah, like slam themselves and my eyes popped open so fast. And I just like laid there, like just waiting, like that just happened. Okay, and it was like they now what like doing this, like tugging the sheets, and I was just like laying there, and then after a few minutes, I felt them get back up. Yeah, that was freaky. As if I hadn't already talked enough about myself. This isn't Leo. Okay, we didn't stay overnight, but the manager let us walk into the hotel and explore. That is not a common occurrence at all. This was from six years ago, okay. I caught voices on the video and audio. Wow, pretty clear voices we didn't hear when we were recording. Oh, love a good maybe we'll get something. Ah, I love a good um EVP, beautiful hotel. Not sure if I would stay overnight, but definitely take a walk and adventure. Is it haunted? Hell to the yes, it's haunted for sure. The EMF just hit orange. It agreed. It agreed, it clapped. He or she says yes. Oh, yeah, no, there is that area. Yep. It just possessed the computer. No, um, it has electromagnetic fields. Oh the window. Set it by the wind, set it on the windowsill. Um remember the Driscoll? That's where we said it was on the windowsill, and that's when I got my part. My it's red.

Margaret the valet and the lady from the catering office were amazing. We stayed in the most haunted room, the King Ranch Suite, which is very spacious and beautiful. Can confirm, I saw pictures of it and it just looks it looks like a house. We were sitting in the dark in the living room that night. First of all, that was your first mistake. Why are you in the dark? Put the TV on, turn on a light. That's terrifying. In the most haunted room, come on. When the door to the bedroom opened by itself twice. Door to the bedroom, that door? No, no. Like in the suite, there's like a separate bedroom. Like I said, it's like a house. Like there's a closed-off bedroom, a closed-off bathroom, a clock, like there's like an office space, a living room, two living room spaces. Yeah, it's massive. That's cool. It's really pretty. I saw pictures on the lip sort. I made sure it was completely shut after the first time, but it's still opened again. It doesn't have a loose knob or anything. You have to turn the knob for it to open. Spooky. We had a wonderful time, but most definitely stay again.

The gift shops right outside the hotel are nice, as well as they have many great gift items. The prices at the gift shops were very reasonable. We plan on coming back and spending the night again soon. Maybe another haunted room. So maybe they did really enjoy someone a ghost caressing them and they're touching her.

And I experienced constant facial caressing and hair tugging from very hot energy. No, I don't like that at all. It was terrifying. I'm terrified for you, bacon. We heard a loud vacuum-like noise at 3 a.m. And for a straight hour, multiple beings were in our room laughing, watching us, and touching us. No God, why? We checked out of the hotel at 4:30 a.m. and slipped at Denny's across the street. When we woke up, we attended church instead of prayer before heading home. It's a beautiful hotel, but scary. Oh my god. Oh you guys, let's go home. At least we know that Denny's is across the street. Right. Yeah, there's also like, you know, bars if we get too bored or whatever.
