We Did "IT" Twice in One Week...Now We Want to Talk About "IT"

This is Brendan Stacy with Let's Wind with Brendan Stacy. And if you follow us on social media, you'll see that we went out twice this week and we decided to do little reviews. We won't take too much of your time, but we left the house twice this week. That's unbelievable. It is.

We're always on the computers working hard. I know. We're either work working with our real jobs or working on this or catching up on our shows, which now we're behind on our shows. I know. So I have some catching up to do, but that's okay. That's what tomorrow's for. For you. Tonight and tomorrow. For me.

Yeah. Anyway, about our out and abouts this week. I'm so proud of us that we went and did stuff. I know. So it'll probably be a couple of months before we do it again. We got rest up. We're worn out now.

But Tuesday night we went to see the Mandalorian Grogu. When I heard that that was going to become a movie, I knew I was going. Oh yeah. And I knew I'd love it.

I think it's funny because we did talk about how we were going to take our babies and we sure did. And there's pictures on our social media. We weren't the craziest people there. There were people there in full bloom, head-to-toe costumes. But it's, you know, related to Star Wars. And people are fanatical. Oh yeah. Just like we are about the baby. You know, people are fanatical about all the other characters. And uh it just made sense. I think it made it a little more fun. It does. On a Tuesday night, the theater was packed. I know. And a lot of people are there. People were dressed up and other people had their babies. We were like waving babies back and forth. It was a great time. We went to the movie tavern and they had food. I thought that was pretty good. They had a full bar. We were able to have a cocktail before the movie and then um cold beer during the movie. So it was awesome.

It was. And we don't want to give spoilers out, but Grogu gets cuter by the minute. The movie is good. I felt it was good and it's action-packed, but you know what? I could have sat there and just looked at that baby the entire time. It could have just been like picture rotation of him.

And I would have just sat there and stared at him.

I would have been perfectly fine with that too. You know, we're Grogu fans.

I'm gonna be so upset if they don't.

Yeah, it's it's in the works. You know, it has to be.

There are a few places though that made me scream. I heard you go stay. Shut up. Shut the fuck up. But it's not scary. Just something jumped out and I wasn't ready for it. I don't know why I wasn't ready for it because it seemed appropriate. Still fun. It was fun. It was a great experience, even though I screamed in your ear. Highly recommend five wine glasses out of five. Oh yeah.

I know, but that's a that's a good one. And it's like I want to talk about it so much because it's still in the theater right now. It's not like one of these movies that's 30 years old that I'm trying to review. I mean, and people are still paying full price to go see it, so I'm gonna keep my mouth shut for now.

But the baby is cute. Oh and so is the Mandalorian.

I swear he's getting sexier and sexier too. I know. But bring it in the women. I know. We're laughing, it's not just the little boys in there, it's grown ass people who grew up with Star Wars. Entire families. Yeah.

You see a lot of dad kids? Mm-hmm. Love it. Love it. I do too. Well, we went out again last night, and that is something that just doesn't happen. Stacy got us tickets to a comedy show.

Par day. Well, it was close by.

Which is important to get us to leave.

The parking was convenient and easy. What else? It uh they had uh food and drinks. Right. So those are the things we require. It was dark and moody and um And you don't have to go to see a show to go and eat.

It's 37 Maine and Buford. From what I gather, they open at five o'clock, and even if there's no show, you can go in and eat and drink and the food was delicious.

It was so good. Loved it. Drinks too. If you do it just right, somehow or another end up with a free coupon for pickles. It's funny because that's how old we are now. I'm worried about my coupon. For my free pickles. That's right. If they were good.

Definitely enough to share if you were one of those people. But I know you're not. Definitely shareable.

No, I don't share. I know. I don't know. I will smack your hand. I didn't offer. Like, don't touch my food.

I didn't offer you any of mine either.

I just say that. I was okay with that. I had Brussels sprouts to start off with. They were really good. So the food was great. It was.

Also the entertainment.

Okay, there we go. That was fun. I didn't expect what was it, four different comedians? Yeah. Yeah. You usually have your the opener and the headliner. Mm-hmm. And they had four different people.

Yeah. It just kept getting funnier and funnier. They were all good. They all made us laugh. I love the personality of the third one. But he's more our age. Yeah. He was a little more raunchy. Said things that made you go, oh, ooh, I'm a tail. Maybe you shouldn't have said that. I know.

They're performing again tonight. They're making their rounds through Atlanta and all the surrounding suburbs. It's Die Laughing.

Die Laughing is the group, and apparently we found out they travel.

Yeah, it looked like they had performances every night.

SPEAKER_01 4:54

And at different places. Right. So you just kind of have to look for them. I love the fact that they go to little towns like Beefford, but that also gives them like practice for the big time.

Because the main guy that we listen to.

He's from the show Wild and Out. He even joked around about being one of Nick Cannon's sons. Yeah, he's a rapper that has been on MTV.

Yeah, talk about growing up in the church and if that's true, because you never know with a comedian if it's a bit or if it's for real. True. He was adorable. He had the audience just throw random words at him and he just started rapping to it. I know. You can tell he's so smart.

So smart, quick witted. I mean, he was just can do it on the fly. That was amazing. And he is from Atlanta. I kept telling you last night, remember, I kept saying, I can't believe I'm sitting in Buford. Yeah. Buford, Georgia.

It's a neat place. It was a very cool place. I love the atmosphere. The food was delicious. We're doing that again. Oh yeah. Whether they're having a show or not, we're going there. We have to. It was easy to get to. They had lots of parking.

The rooms were darkly lit. I know I got my high chair.

You know, like a bar stool.

Yeah, high top tables. It was comfortable. We had a blast. It laughs all around. I mean, it was just a fun place and a fun time.

Welcoming. Oh, and Kayla, our waitress, she was a doll. She was so sweet. Absolutely. And accommodating for any complaint we might have had. I mean, I don't want to be a complainer, but you know, there were some little little hiccups. Yeah, little hiccups. Nothing major. No. It was just their sign didn't match internet at the time. Yeah. And Emily, the manager, she was a doll too. Yeah. She fixed everything, made it sure everything was right and we were happy.

Mm-hmm. I mean, you can't complain about that. Mistakes happen, and just highly recommend. If you're ever in the area, definitely go to 37 Main and Beauford, Georgia. If you ever have the opportunity to see this troupe that travels around the Die Laughing troupe, I know.

I I would go again. Oh, I would too. Yeah. Because it looks like they rotate out different comedians too. So you might see different ones each time you go. I think that'd be fabulous.

I do too. We definitely have to put them on our radar. We're going back. Have to get Jeff to go. Yeah, definitely. Or definitely. Yeah. He has to go. I've already told him that. Even if it's not a show night or a band night, they have bands, they have all kinds of entertainment. Even if it's not an entertainment night, we're going back for the food. I'm ready. I was so good. I know. I love a place like that. I think we found a cute little niche place that, you know, you could go and sit and not feel like you'd be bothered, or if you don't want to talk to anybody, you can just curl up on one of those high top tables and put your phone on and sit there by yourself and I like that it was full and the tables weren't up on top of each other.

Right. It's like they weren't trying to pack it in. Yeah, reach that maximum capacity.

I know. Brenda's hair looked amazing in that red glow light. Oh my gosh. So yeah, we took photos of ourselves and photos with a couple of the comedians. So check out our social media if you want to see the pictures. Maybe you recognize Carter from some of the previous things he's done. And if you don't, he's definitely worth a follow to see where his career goes. I think he was voted a 2025 comedian of the year, maybe. I don't know if it was Georgia or Atlanta, but I read that somewhere too.

So that's awesome. Yeah, I went back and watched some of his YouTube videos. He's funny.

And I mean, if 40-year-old nerdy virgins turn you on, yeah, that's why he's your guy. That's why I like to go to Star Trek conventions. Oh my God. You'd kill a virgin. Probably. Considering it's been so long. Oh my gosh. That is been years. Who knows? Who knows? So if you want to change that for Brenda, you can always email us. I'm kidding. I'm kidding. I'm kidding. Unless, you know, you're a cool, nerdy guy. They gotta be nerdy. Lots of nerdy. With emotion. Nerd and emotion. Just like you're looking for a unicorn.

Yeah. Alright, we're on the hunt. We're hunting. We're going a hunting. We're going hunting. That's funny. I think the only thing that would make it. If we started doing reviews more and more, I think the only thing that would make this better is if we could manage to go out three nights in a week. You think we could do it?

No, because I'm only off four days a week and I can't. See, I'd rather go out during the day. I know. I'm gonna rest tonight because I'm back to work tomorrow. Well, I had to get up and go to work today like a trooper. At noon. Well, I still had to get up and go like a trooper. And I did. You went. I did. I always say if you have to go to work with a hangover, that's your punishment for having too much fun.

See, my head hurt when I first got up a little bit, but then I took Tylenol and I was fine as my stomach.

Oh, I'm gonna go to bed early. Okay. That's the plan.

Well, and you'll forget, and then we'll just go do it again. And it'll be like, oh man.

All right. Well, I guess we'll call it. We just want to say we enjoyed the movie. We enjoyed the comedy club. We're trying to venture out and get out of our little box and see the world, you know, even in our own backyard. There's no reason to go too far.

Right. There's so much to do around this area. If you have been somewhere that's been fun and you think that it would be our drive, recommend it to us. We will go check it out. Probably love it because we like to be places. We just don't like to get up, get ready, and go places. I know. Once I'm there, I'm fine. So encourage us to get out and do more things by telling us where should we go? You wanna go with us? Come with us if you're close by. We don't care. And help us hand out business cards. That's right. We need a good personal marketing so that we can just sit there and party and relax. But we did a little marketing last night. We had a couple cars. Yeah, so it was a great time. We invited the comedians to listen to us. So hopefully they will. Maybe we could get one on the show. That would be cool. So if you want to be a guest on the show, comedians, Grogu. Yeah. Mandalorian. Oh I know. Could you imagine? We would kidnap him and probably, oh bless his little heart. He wouldn't come here.

He wouldn't. And you realize if we kidnapped him, we'd be in all kinds of trouble because I think he comes with like eight puppeteers. So they'd have to come too.

Uh well, it's our story of our lives. We'd have to videotape for that one since he doesn't really talk. I know. He's so damn cute. He is. So we would record that one if he comes. How to reach us.
