SPEAKER_07Right, the record was I'm gonna run away from you, and the artist was a lady called Tammy Lynn. It got released in nine, it got to number four in 1971. Question five. Who sang Jimmy Mack? Jimmy Mack was sang sung by Martha and the Vandelas, Martha Reason Vandelas. It got released in 1964. Didn't really make the charge till about 1967.
SPEAKER_08Question six, who sang I Can't Help Myself? Sugar Pie Honeybunch.
SPEAKER_07That was sung by the four chops, got released in 1965, spent two weeks in number one in the US. Question seven, we asked who sang Dancing in the Street? Yeah, this one again, Marflays and Vandelas. Also for Live Aid, Bowie and Jagger covered it in Live Aid, but what we were looking for were Martha's and Vandelas that got released in 1964. Question eight. Who sang Reach Out? I'll be there. Again, Reach Out I'll Be There was uh sung by the Four Tops. It got released in 1966 and made number one in both the UK and the USA.
SPEAKER_08Question nine, we there's a music clip. We asked you for the name of the record and the artist.
SPEAKER_07The artist is Las Bravos. It got released in 1966 and released got to number two in the U in the UK charts and number four in the USA. Question 10. Who sang Needle in a Haystack? Needle in a Haystack that was sung by the Velvellettes, got released in 1964. I was so waiting for you to cock that one up. I would say more through reasonable than the others again.

SPEAKER_07Question 11. Thank God who sang My Girl? My girl. One of my favourite records was sung by the Fantastic Temptations.

SPEAKER_07The version the version we're looking for was Marvin Gaye and Tammy Terrell. Got released in 1967. And question 13, who sang Baby Love? Baby Love, sung by the Supremes, got released in 1964, made US made number one in US charts.

What's Going On was sung by Marvin Gaye, got released in 1971. Question 18, who sang You Keep Me Hanging On? You Keep Me Hanging On was sung by the Supremes. It got released in 1966. It reached number one in the US. USA.

SPEAKER_07The record was Love on the Mountain Top. The artist was Robert Knight. It got released in nineteen sixty-eight at the UK charts. And again, come another soul classic.
SPEAKER_08Question twenty. Who sang Ain't Too Pound? Ain't Too Proud to Beg? Say that again.
SPEAKER_07That was sung by the Temptations, it got released in 1966. 21. Who sang this old heart of mine is weak for you? This old heart of mine was sung by the Isler brothers. Got released in 1966.
SPEAKER_08Question 22. Another music clip. We want to know the name of the record and the artists.

SPEAKER_07Oh yeah, top absolute top this one. The artist was The Shakers, released in 1967. Question 23. Who sang Nowhere to Run? Again, we've done a few times this quiz, it's more three of the Vandelas. Got released in 65. And I think it features in the film Good Morning Vietnam. Question 24. Who sang I Heard It Through the Grapevine? I Heard It Through the Grapevine. Question 25, who sang You're Ready Now? You're Ready Now was basically sung by Frankie Valley. Got released in 1966. He didn't really make the charts about 1970.
SPEAKER_08And then the bonus question was who founded Motown Records in 1959?
SPEAKER_07Motown Records was founded by a gentleman called Baby Gordy Jr. Uh obviously went on to be what can I say, most successful music ever. If you notice a lot of records was released in the 60s when Tam and Motown and Northern Soul was kind of in its head, you know, the 60s and the 70s. So yeah, great quiz that was back when I was just entering the world. Born too late. There's a record about you. Yeah, there probably is to be fair. There is, there is, yeah, yeah, yeah. I I think that'll be a good quiz. So yeah, we'll get you into Northern Soul Mick and a bit uh we'll get you like in it. So we want to go back on before we finish. I don't think so. Right.
