Well, welcome. I'm glad you're here today. Are you ready to hear the word of God preached? Grab a pen and paper to take notes. I mean, that's really important as far as my opinion, whether you take notes or not, because some of the things that I'll say might go by quickly but might have a very special meaning for you. So, not to write down the things that I say, but especially to write down the scriptures that are mentioned, so that if you want to, you can study further on God's word for that. Grab a pen and paper, take notes, write down the Bible verses, and uh you'll be able to do a Bible study on the topic. What's the topic? Your authority in Christ. Today, your authority in Christ. Next, God has appointed different authorities in this world to rule under Him. For example, parents have authority over their children. Ephesians 6:1, children obey your parents because you belong to the Lord, for this is the right thing to do. In today's society, in my opinion, there's too many parents who really don't rule over their children. They have children at uh 12 years old saying, I'm not going to go to church with the family anymore. You look at them and say, You are an important part of our family. You will get in the car, you will go to church with us. You don't have to be harsh about it, you don't have to punish them for it. You just have to properly persuade them that you are appointed by God to rule over this family. When they're 21, that's that's their choice. And then there's those parents who say, Well, I think I'll let my kids decide whenever they become adults whether or not they're going to become a Christian or whether or not they're going to go to church. To me, that's as silly as saying, I'm going to let my kids eat Twinkies and MMs every day until they're 21 to see if they actually want to eat some vegetables, meat, and potatoes. Kings have authority over their subjects. Romans 13:1 and following. Everyone must submit to governing authorities, for all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God. The apostles had authority over the early church. Your pastor has authority over the church where you attend. And it's an it's a divine appointment, if you will. If the pastor actually prayed, if the pastoral search committee prayed properly, they'll get exactly the right pastor for the right place at the right time. And that's important to honor that. That's an authority that comes from God. In the early church, Acts 43435, there was there was not a needy person among them, because all those who owned lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold. Everybody was cared for in the early church there. The Great Commission can teach us a lot about the authority of the believer. It's in Matthew 28, 18 through 20. And I'll touch on that a couple of times in today's presentation because it's so essential to understand the authority of the believer, your authority in Christ. Jesus came to them and said, All authority in heaven and earth has been given to me. Therefore, go make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey everything I've commanded you. Now, one of the things that people might say, Well, go to all nations, how can I do that? Well, one of the ways is you can support pastors and evangelists who go all over the world. Your support financially blesses them, but it also obtains blessings for you whenever you support them as they win souls. For example, the radio programs that I have, God has blessed me with over 300 radio stations every week. I created or God created through me a program called Country Gospel, and there's Sunrise Radio, and there's God's Promises, another three different formats of Christian radio programs. And I put all these programs, 700 programs that were created, on my website, edbradyradio.com. EdbradyRadio.com. And God has placed them in places like the Netherlands, the United Kingdom. Um it's on in in India and South America and Ireland. I mean, this is this is what the postcard looks at. I put together Country Gospel and Sunrise and God's Promises. It's a 501c3 nonprofit ministry. And this is how I reach out to nations all around the world. And if somebody supports us with a donation, you'll get part of that blessing as well. Remember the authority in the passage of the Great Commission is it has Jesus saying all authority, and then he tells those who fall under his authority what to do. So to properly exercise your authority in Christ according to the Great Commission, you must submit to God's authority. 100% submission, if you can. As for me, I haven't been able to achieve to achieve 100% submission, but every time I pray about that, I ask for more and more submission to the will of God in my life. Based on the Great Commission, the authority believers possessed possess is one to go into all the world, two, the authority to make disciples, and three, the authority to baptize in the name of the triune God, and the authority to teach God's commandments or Jesus' commands to us. We need to teach other people what Jesus has taught us. And if you can't go around the world, if you can't go to Italy or India or any place like that, you can go to the people on your street, the people in your neighborhood. That's going into all the world as well, and a lot closer than foreign nations. In the exercising of our authority, the believer, you and me, again, I reiterate none of this makes sense to the non-believer. Everything that I'm saying, or every sermon that a non-believer hears, is silly to them because they don't have the ability to believe and receive. You must be a born-again believer. You must be born again first, and then by accepting Jesus into your heart, all of a sudden, what's being said in the Bible, what's being said from the pulpit, makes a lot of sense. The Holy Spirit starts to interpret what's being said to you in sermons. But we he orders us to do things for him according to his will. And that's an important thing about being born again, too, so that you know that you're in his will. Your authority comes from him, but not the authority to do everything, but only what he has called you to do. And when I look back in my life, I was called to be in ministry and I was called to be in radio and put the two together, and I'm a radio pastor with country gospel and sunrise and God's promises. I'm using exactly the gifts that God has given me for from speaking clearly to be able to use my gifts to spread Christian programs all over the world to at this point in time, 300 stations every week, more to come. And one of the stations, as Kevin said, is the Truth Be Told Radio Network. Uh, the Truth Be Told Radio Network carries my sunrise program at sunrise every weekday at 6 30, and my country gospel program every day at 10 a.m. Monday through Friday on the TruthbetoldRadionetwork.org, I believe.
