This interesting 9-minute video of GOD’S PROMISES PODCAST is entitled FORGIVE OTHERS. It is #020 in a series of videos found on YouTube.
'Forgiving Others' is a Commandment in the Bible. In fact, Jesus told the apostle Peter that we must forgive others “seventy times seven times” (Matthew 18:21-22).
In Matthew 6:14-15 God teaches us that if we do not forgive others of their sins against us, God will not forgive our sins. Obviously, FORGIVING OTHERS is very important!

SPEAKER_00Forgiving others. That's what we'll talk about today on God's Promises. It's important that we follow all of God's laws in the Bible exactly as they're stated, so that we are pleasing to God, our Creator, and to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We can count on the Holy Spirit to inspire us to do the right thing in the right way at the right time. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you with all malice. Be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. It wouldn't be fair if we say, Well, God forgave me of all my sins, but I can't forgive them for doing that. Pastor Ed, you don't know what they did. Well, Jesus knows what they did, and he's still commanding you to forgive everyone who's ever hurt you. Ephesians 4 31 and 32. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you with all malice, and be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ has forgiven you. From 1 Peter 3, 9 and 10, let him refrain his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit. 1 Peter 3 9 and 10. If you'd like to, write down the scriptures so that you can study them in your own personal Bible study time after this nine minute video is over. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12 21. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. If somebody does a wrong thing to you and you do a right thing to them, imagine how they'll feel. Imagine how you'll feel. You forgive others simply because God says we must. And it's because you know that you want to do the right thing for God, and that's the right reason. From Matthew 5.44, I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you. Matthew 5.44. We're talking about forgiving others today. Again, Matthew 5.44, but I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use and persecute you. Hebrews ten thirty. For we know him who said, Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord. And again, the Lord will judge his people. Hebrews 10 30. We know him who said, Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord. And again, the Lord will judge his people. Hebrews 10 30. Don't take revenge on somebody who's hurt you. I made that mistake myself in my life, and it took me decades to get over the fact that the things that I did to get revenge on the person that hurt me, that was a bad decision. I wish I'd never done that. The mistakes in my life compounded right after my desire to take revenge against somebody that's hurt me. From personal experience, please don't try to get revenge on someone that hurts you. Let the Lord repay. Okay? Let's read that again. Hebrews 10 30. For we know him who said, Vengeance is mine, I will repay. God's promises are always yes and amen. And it's important for us to say, all right, God, you'll repay. And so I'll just not do anything to get revenge. Again, the Lord will judge his people, people. Hebrews 10 30. Hebrews 10 30. Write down the scriptures so that you can study them in your own personal Bible study time after our time together, these nine-minute videos, and you can study on your own time the scriptures we're giving you on the topic of forgiving others. We'll be back right after this.

You can donate on our website, which is edbraderadio.com, edbradyradio.com. Back to the topic forgiving others. From Matthew 6, 14 and 15. For if you forgive others their trespasses, their sins, what they've done against you, if you forgive others, your heavenly father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others for their trespasses, the sins they committed against you, neither will your father forgive you your trespasses. What? That's right. If you don't forgive others for what they did to you, God won't forgive you for the things that you did against God. Matthew six, fourteen and fifteen. If you forgive others their trespasses, their sins, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. That to me is one of the scariest verses in the whole Bible. It took me years after I had a major revenge at the time that I got hurt. I as I said earlier, vengeance is mine, says saith the Lord. Do not try to get revenge. Do not try to get back at somebody for what they've done to you. Leave that in the hands of your Lord God Almighty. Matthew 18, 21 and 22. Peter came to him and said, Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times? No. Jesus said, Seventy times, seven times. Jesus said to you to him, I do not say to you up to seven times, but up to seventy times, seven times. In other words, you forgive people that hurt you over and over and over. Now you can rebuke your brother for hurting you, your brother or your sister. It says so in Luke 17 3. Luke 17 3. Write this one down. Take heed to yourselves. In other words, pay attention. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him. And if he repents, forgive him. It's so important for us to forgive people who have hurt us simply because the Bible says we must. Mark 11 25. Whenever you stand, pray. If you have anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your sins, your trespasses. Today's topic, forgiving others.
