A 9‑minute video on Spiritual Growth, created by Pastor Ed Brady, offers a warm and practical look at how believers can mature in their walk with God. Pastor Brady highlights that true growth begins with staying connected to Christ, echoing Jesus’ words in John 15:5, “I am the vine, you are the branches.” Spiritual maturity is not accidental—it is intentional. As Pastor Brady explains, believers grow when they consistently feed on the Word, pray with expectation, and allow the Holy Spirit to shape their character. This short teaching encourages viewers to pursue a deeper, daily relationship with God rather than settling for surface‑level faith.

The video also emphasizes the importance of trusting God in every season. Pastor Brady references Philippians 1:6, reminding believers that “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.” Spiritual growth is a lifelong journey, and God is committed to developing His people step by step. Pastor Brady explains that challenges, trials, and transitions are often the very tools God uses to strengthen faith. By leaning into Scripture and relying on God’s promises, Christians can grow in resilience, peace, and spiritual confidence. This message encourages viewers to see every moment—good or difficult—as an opportunity for growth.

Finally, Pastor Brady points to the protective and guiding presence of God as believers mature spiritually. Drawing from Psalm 1:1–3, he describes the believer who delights in God’s Word as a tree planted by streams of water—stable, nourished, and fruitful. Spiritual growth produces visible change: stronger faith, clearer purpose, and a life that reflects Christ’s love. Pastor Brady closes the video with a gentle challenge to keep moving forward, keep seeking God, and keep growing. One of the most important things that you and I as Christians can do is grow spiritually. And where do we get our direction for growing spiritually? From the Bible, of course. Let's start with 2 Peter 3.18. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and forever. Amen. 2 Peter 3.18. Grow spiritually in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and forever. Amen. First Peter 2 2 says, Like newborn babies, desire the pure milk of the Word, that you may grow thereby. I respectfully suggest that you write down the scriptures that I'm giving you so you can study them in your own personal Bible study time, okay? First Peter again two, like newborn babies, desire the pure milk of the Word, that you may grow thereby. Let's go to 2 Timothy 2.15. Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2.15. Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the words of the Bible. It's so important that we count on the Holy Spirit to lead, guide, and direct us as we divide the words of the Bible and understand them and apply them to our lives. 1 Timothy 4 15. Meditate on these things. Give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. It's important that we grow spiritually, but one of the ways that you'll know if you're growing spiritually is if other people notice. If you're growing as a Christian, the way that you live, the way you act, the way you treat others, it'll become evident to them as well. 1 Timothy 4 15. Meditate on these things, give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. And Hebrews 6:1. Therefore, leaving the discussion of elementary principles to Christ, let us go on to perfection. In other words, whatever level you're at right now, move up. Your goal is not to be perfect, but a goal of perfection is achievable day by day, step by step, if you apply the Bible to your life. Again, Hebrews 6:1. Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us move up. Let us go on to perfection. Today we're talking about growing spiritually. Grow spiritually, our topic on God's Promises podcast. Thanks for watching. I'm Pastor Ed Brady. We'll have more right after this.

Welcome back. Thank you for watching God's Promises Podcast. I'm Pastor Ed Brady. Today our topic grow spiritually. Establish a daily scripture rhythm, if you will. In other words, don't try to read the whole Bible cover to cover. Start with a page a day, a chapter a day. Whatever works for you on your schedule and continue with that on a regular basis. Read a portion of scripture every day, even if it's small. Rotate between Psalms and Gospels and Epistles. The Psalms they speak to our heart. The Gospels they teach us about Jesus and who Jesus is. And the epistles talk about Christian living, how we can apply the Bible to our life. When you read the scripture, ask yourself three key questions. What does it say? What does it mean? And how can I apply the Bible to my life? Ask yourself when you read the Bible, what does it say? What does it mean? And how can I apply the Bible to my life? Pray in short, honest conversations throughout the day. Don't wait for long prayer sessions. It's better to just talk to God throughout the day on a regular basis. Practice one spiritual discipline each week, one at a time, and then add more as you grow in coming weeks and months. For example, you might start on silence and solitude. I had a spiritual advisor back in seminary who asked me for 15 minutes a day just to focus on the name Jesus. Jesus. Jesus. I would say it over and over and let it go into my spirit. Silence and solitude, one way to start a spiritual discipline. You can fast one meal a day or one meal a week if you want to. Worship is really important. Make sure you find a church that preaches the Bible in a truthful way without bending the Bible to accommodate changes in today's moral standards. Scripture meditation, journaling, all these will help you. Join a small group or Bible study. Spiritual growth accelerates when you have other people to work with, other people that care about you. Share insights and ask questions and let others sharpen you. Today we're talking about how to grow spiritually. Serve someone every week. Look for someone in your life to bless every week. Encourage them, pray for them, provide one of their needs if possible. Practice confession and repentance. Be accountable with God and with Christian friends whom you trust. Confess quickly, receive forgiveness fully, and move forward boldly. Let me give you some scriptures to write down so that you can help yourself grow spiritually. Start with verses like this John fifteen, five, Philippians four, six and seven, Psalm twenty three, one, and Psalm ninety-one one through seven. Let me give those to you again so you can write them down and make them a part of your opportunity now to grow spiritually. John 15 5, Philippians 4, 6 and 7, Psalm 23 1, and Psalm 91 1 through 7. Memorize those if possible. Scripture in your heart is so important. It will change you from the inside out and make your life closer and closer to Christ so that you can be a better Christian. You can grow spiritually, you can be better than you've ever been before. Not to your own glory, but to the glory of Jesus Christ our Lord. Well, that's part one of Grow Spiritually. I still have more information on the topic, so we'll do a part two on this one. This is God's Promises Podcast. Thanks for watching. Thanks for your prayers, and thanks for your donations too to Brady Ministries International.
