SPEAKER_02Welcome. Are we living in the end times? That's our topic today on God's Promises Podcast. I'm Pastor Ed Brady. Are we living in the end times? Allow me to offer you a biblical perspective on that question. Biblical signs and indicators first come from Jesus. In Matthew 24, he describes wars, rumors of wars, famines, earthquakes, and increasing lawlessness as signs that the end is approaching soon. I suggest you take notes and write down the Bible verses that I give you. That reference from Jesus' warnings came from Matthew 24. Moral decline is another indicator that we're living in the end times. 2 Timothy 3, 1 through 5. Write that down if you're taking notes. That outlines a culture marked by selfishness, pride, rebellion, and lack of self-control. 2 Timothy 3, 1 through 5. We live in a post-Christian society, in my opinion. I lived back in the 1950s where it seemed everyone was Christian. Everyone followed the golden rule. We treated others as we'd like to be treated. We lived in a society that honored God and honored the Bible, but not so in today's world. We live in a post-Christian society, in my opinion, and we live in an era when sins are acceptable. Not to God. No sin is acceptable to God, but one sin that's acceptable for people who are dating today fornication. That's to society, not acceptable to God. Global evangelism. Jesus said the gospel would be preached to all nations before he would come back. Matthew 24, 14. Modern technology has accelerated world evangelism with the use of cell phones, smartphones, tablets, laptops. They're spreading the good news of the gospel worldwide, quickly, more today than ever before. And Israel is very significant when you study the end times. The return of Israel as a nation in 1948 is viewed by many Christians as a major prophetic milestone. What Scripture says about the times we live in, no one knows the day or the time. Jesus taught that no one knows the exact time of his return. He said that in Matthew 24, 36. Matthew 24, 36. So believers must stay spiritually ready at all times, including today. Birth pains. Jesus compared end time signs to birth pains, increasing in frequency and intensity as the moment approaches. Every mother understands birth pains. The Spirit's activity, Acts 2, 17, speaks of God pouring out his spirit in the last days, leading to dreams and visions, revivals, and prophetic insight. Scripture warns of false teachers, false prophets, spiritual confusion. That's in 1 Timothy 4 1. Now, if you're taking notes, the scriptures we've given so far include Matthew 24, 36, Acts 2, 17, Timothy 4, 1, 2 Timothy 3, 1 through 5, and Matthew 24, 14. Write those down and study them in your own Bible study time later. Let's take a break. We'll have more God's promises on the question of are we living in the end times right after this.

SPEAKER_02Welcome back. Today's topic are we living in the end times? What do you think? Many signs aligned to tell us that we are living in the end times. Current global instability, moral decline, and technological advancement resemble biblical descriptions of what it will look like when Jesus returns. Prophecy convergence, multiple prophetic indicators appear to be happening simultaneously, which is rather unique in history. Spiritual awakening. Many believers sense an urgency to return to prayer and holiness and evangelism. Revivals are breaking out worldwide. The key now is hope, not fear. For Christians, the end time is not a message of fear but of hope, pointing to Christ's return and God's ultimate victory. How Christians should respond today. Live prepared, stay spiritually alert, prayerful, and committed to God's Word. Daily Bible reading, daily prayer, both are essential in the life of a Christian. Share the gospel. The urgency of the times calls for believers to reach others with the message of salvation. Ask the Holy Spirit for help in sharing your testimony with others, especially friends and close family, that you don't want left behind. We must walk in holiness. Scripture calls believers to live differently from the world, reflecting Christ's character. Question: If you were arrested for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence in your life to convict you in a court of law of being a Christian? Now stay encouraged. God promises protection, peace, and strength for his people. Increase your prayer. Pray for all your friends and family to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior before Christ returns. Be a part of a household of faith. Exchange encouragement with Christian friends at church. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you select a church that's spirit-filled and Bible-based. In conclusion, are we living in the end times? In my opinion, yes. Well, no one can set the date and the time. Many biblical signs suggest we're living in the season of the time when the Bible says, these are the last days right now. Christians are called not to fear, however, but stand firm in your faith, stay ready, and shine the light of Christ in a dark world that desperately needs the love of Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.
