Ep. 15 - Peace on Earth
In this final episode of our 'Presence of Christmas series, we turn our attention to one of the most familiar and yet most profound passages in all of Scripture—Luke 2:1–20. Together, we reflect on the birth of our Messiah and the quiet, holy moments surrounding the night God stepped into the world in the most unexpected way.
Our conversation explores the wonder of the shepherds being the first to hear the announcement of Jesus’ birth—ordinary people invited into an extraordinary moment. We consider what that must have been like, the awe, the fear, and the joy, and we notice the simple but powerful obedience of so many characters in this story who responded immediately to God’s leading.
We close by slowing down and sitting with Luke 2:19, where Mary treasures and ponders all these things in her heart. It’s a gentle reminder for us today to pause, reflect, and hold space for what God is doing—especially in moments that feel both overwhelming and sacred. A fitting and meaningful way to wrap up this series and the Christmas story.
