When I personally started reading the Bible, I had no idea the huge difference using the right study tools would really make on my personal Bible study journey. And there's so many different tools out there, so many different resources, so many different guides, so many different things we can buy. I have personally tried a lot of them. And today we are going to be talking about my eight favorites that I absolutely love. I'm obsessed with them. I use them all the time. And so this is just going to really help you to make Bible study simple, to really get something from your Bible every time you read it and truly understand it. So I am super excited because I really feel like these are the tools that I wish I would have gotten on a Google Doc, like I'm going to give to you of just these are the exact things you need to buy. Go buy them on Amazon right now and start making the most of your Bible study time. I really feel like personally, I at the beginning of my journey, I was trying to figure out how to study the Bible, how to truly learn it for myself, how not to rely just on devotionals or other things that people were teaching me. And so these are the tools that I personally use almost every day. I love so much that really helped me move from just reading the word to really understanding it as a Christian woman who loves her Bible. I'm obsessed with reading the Bible. I think everyone needs to be reading the Bible. And so that is really what we're going to be talking about today. So by the end of this episode, you are going to know exactly what Bible study tools you need to go buy on Amazon right now, why they're so important, how they're going to help you on your journey, and so much more. Let's get into today's episode. So welcome to Step Into Bold Faith. This is the podcast to help you truly learn and understand the Bible as a Christian woman and really just understand it for yourself instead of relying on devotionals or other people to teach it to you. I really want to teach you how to sit down, open your Bible, know exactly what to do, what steps to take, and really get something out of your time in the Word every time you go to read it. So I am super excited to be here with you today. So again, I kind of already went over a little bit about, you know, my story, my connection to these tools and why they're so important for me. I personally, like I said, I use them almost every day. And if I don't use them every day, they're at least part of my Bible study routine. So let's get into talking about these eight Bible study tools. So the best part about this episode is I'm going to be releasing a guide to go with this called Bible Study Tools You Need to Buy on Amazon right now. I'm going to link it below in the show notes for you. And at the top here, I do have a disclaimer that these are all things that I use and love as a Christian woman myself. And I may receive an affiliate commission on these products when they are purchased. But I truly appreciate you supporting the mission to help more women learn about the Bible. This free content that I have, it's great, but I can only help women so much when the content is free, right? When I receive payment for my content for helping women, that means I can just help more women because I can actually pay for the tools that I need, like being able to host my podcast and edit it and upload it. And I have so many fun ideas coming for this new platform for Bible study made simple. And I'm going to be even starting like a charity or a scholarship program where I'm going to have like a donation link where you guys can donate. And then a portion of the proceeds are going to go to giving scholarships to women who don't have Bibles and want to learn how to understand them. So there's just so much goodness coming. So I really, really appreciate you supporting the mission to help more women learn about the Bible. So that is the disclaimer you're going to see at the top. So now let's get into the eight items. So number one, this is the right physical Bible. Having the right physical Bible for you, personally, the one that I love that I have started with is the CSB Encouraged Devotional Bible. It really captures the Bible's original meaning without sacrificing clarity. And it's very easy to engage with the scripture because there's a lot of life-transforming messages throughout because it is a devotional style. So it'll go off of a scripture passage and then it'll tell us more and it'll really give us like a lot of information about it and how it relates to our real life. And then plus at the bottom, I also love it because it provides space for journaling and for you just like really digging deep and asking questions, which we're going to go over in other episodes, like what questions to ask yourself as you read the Bible and how to relate to it in your life. So I just really feel like having the right physical Bible, one you connect with visually, like I love the font style. I love the size. I love how it looks when there's highlighting messages in it, right? I love when my journaling is in there. It just feels really personal and really good to me. And I just love my Bible so much. So that is the one that I linked here. The first one is a CSB Encouraged Devotional Bible. This is the exact one I use and love every single day. But if you have another Bible that you personally love, use it. But this is the one that I recommend, especially for the beginners out there who are overwhelmed by like the New King James and other versions of the Bible that are more complex. This is a very simple, beginner-friendly, awesome Bible. Okay, so number two is the Believe Aesthetic Cute Bible highlighters. So Bible highlighters are so important because Bible highlighting actually going through that process is so crucial for Bible study. And so in order to do that though, you need the right Bible highlighters. And these aren't just ordinary Bible highlighters. These are designed specifically with Bible safe ink to avoid bleeding through delicate pages. And I love them because number one, there's so many colors. Like I can't even count how many colors there are. I think there's like eight or nine. There's a lot of colors in it. And I'm gonna be coming out again with more content where I'm gonna even talk about each of these colors and what I do with them and things like that. So stay tuned. But for now, like I love these highlighters because there's such a variety, there's a lot we can do with it. And it has both a chisel tip on one end and a fine pen tip on the other end. So you can like underline or write, and then one's like really good for like broad highlighting, so so good. I love vibrant colored highlighters, so that's the one that are linked here, are the exact ones that I use that are like very vibrant and great. I like love them so much. I'm super into it. I used ones before from the Daily Grace Co. that were kind of like a waxy temp uh texture, and I used those for kind of a long time, and those ones ran ran out, and I wanted to try something new that was more of like a pen. And I'm actually so glad I did because I really feel like the the pen itself is so like vibrant and there's so much color to it. It like really looks way better when I like flip through past pages, like ones that I use the waxy one versus the ones I used an actual like pen-like highlighter, it makes a huge difference. I can really see so much better visually in the text. So highly recommend these ones. The third thing on here are Bible tabs for Bible study. So making sure that your Bible is tabbed, which means like each book of the Bible you can see on the outside of your book. So say you're in church and they're like turn to Matthew, whatever. You know, you want to be able to see like Matthew on the outside of your book and even just for yourself when you're not in church at home every day. I love having an actual, you know, system where it shows me all of the Bible tabs. I linked one here from Amazon I really, really like. I personally have not used this exact Bible tab because I got my exact Bible tabs from the Daily Grace Co. But the ones that I got from the Daily Grace Co., I don't know if they sell anymore or I couldn't find them or something was going on with them. So I linked these ones that are very, very similar to the ones that I have that should work really well. But if anyone has any sort of issue with them, let me know and I'll take them off and I'll redo that. But these ones are great and I loved the colors. It's like a nice neutral because you want it to be kind of neutral on the outside to match the Bible. And so everything here, too, like it's very aesthetically pleasing and it'll look really good when you buy it all together. So I think that that's really awesome. Okay. And then number four here are pencils for journaling in your Bible. It's so important for us to write down takeaways or notes in our Bibles to journal. And I linked some here that are really sparkly and fun to use, and that I personally like use the same brand all the time, like this exact style. Mine just aren't as cute and fun as yours are gonna be. So I might need to get some of these for myself. But having the right pencil and having a pencil that you have next to your Bible and your highlighters every day, so, so important. So those four items right there, that Bible, the Bible highlighters, the Bible study tabs and the pencils, like that's what I use every day. And the Bible tabs always stay in your Bible because they're like, it's like a sticker. So those those stickers, once you put them on once, they're always there. But then, like the Bible, the highlighters, and the pencil is like bare minimum what I pull out every single day when I start to go to read my Bible. Okay, so now the next four items on our list are actually like supplemental books that I read first before I actually got into like teaching Bible study that really, really helped me. And so these were the things that I read that I was like, wow, these are really great resources and are super, super helpful. And so the first one here is the Bible handbook. So this is so great. It's actually from the Daily Grace Co. too, but they are selling it on Amazon. So I got to link it. I'm so excited about it. And so this is one thing that I use every time, like before I actually go and start a new book of the Bible. And when I finish a book of the Bible, I'll go through and read it. And so I'll read it, like I said, at the very beginning of a book and at the very end. And it gives like exact like overviews. It talks about the whole story throughout the Bible, all the historical context. It'll give you like maps, it'll give you like really fun summaries, clear outlines, visual tools. Like it's awesome. And so I just love this Bible handbook and I use it all the time. Like I said, it's mostly at the beginning and the end of me reading a book, but I love it so much. So such a good one. That was number five. So number six is understanding scripture. So this book was written by Crystal Sparks. I love Crystal. I am a huge, huge fan of her, and it was so helpful for me. Like I really learned some new things in there, and it really helps you see like Bible stories and familiar scriptures that go along with them. And it really helps you have a love for your Bible and just to really start getting into the word. And I love Crystal because you can really feel her heart when she wrote this book, and you can really hear her tone of voice if you know her. And so it's just really awesome to hear, like and and see a lot of her personal opinions on how she really fell in love with our Bible, because that is one of our ultimate goals as Christian women is to love our Bibles like never before, because the more that we love the Bible, the more we are gonna want to spend time in it, the more that we're gonna learn from it, that we're gonna understand, that we're gonna get from it, right? So, so important. So that was number six. So, number seven was Women of the Word, how to study the Bible with both our hearts and our minds. This is a book written by Jen Wilken, and I love this book, I loved this book so much too, because it's really important, especially as a beginner, to know how to study the Bible. But a lot of times it's hard to know where to start. So this was like a great starting point. This was like, I think the first Bible study book I read on how to study the Bible, and it came highly recommended to me. So many good reviews on Amazon. I bought it, I loved it, and I learned so much from it. And so all these methods, this is a side note that I teach now, are all a combination of all these different things that I've learned personally through other books, through resources, through different podcasts, through things that have worked for me, through things I've learned and tried. And so all my methods are very much like a culmination of a lot of these things, which is really awesome because you don't have to now like dig through all these different tools and resources like I did. You can just get the information straight from me. And it's just so much more clear and simple than when I was trying to learn it. Okay, so number eight here is 30 Days to Understanding the Bible. This is a book written by Max Anderson. So in just 15 minutes a day, you'll learn the Bible's key people, events, doctrines. Like this is a guide in a book that's been recommended by Bible teachers and pastors for over 30 years. It is so deep though, let me tell you. I am working through this book right now still, and I have had to repeat the book multiple times because it's a deep, this is a deep read. So, my whole thing within this platform is I want to teach you how to understand the Bible for yourself. So you always get something from it every time you read it, right? But there are things like this, like this 30 days to understanding the Bible, where it talks about like, I don't know, you'll have to see it to understand what I'm talking about. But it's like very deep stuff that it's also understanding the Bible, but it's in a different way than what I personally teach. It's just like very deep, nitty-gritty details and stuff like that that you do need to know, but it's hard for me to teach things like this. So that one is is also highly recommended. So there you have your eight. So that's and then those four reference books, those are more reference books, like when I'll start and end a book or like those three at the bottom, or actually, I'm sorry, the two. So the Bible handbook, I'll use at the beginning and the end of every book that I start of the Bible. The 30 days to understanding the Bible is what I'm working through right now. That is just really important for like general knowledge about the Bible. And then the two, the understanding scripture and women of the word, those are like reads that you can do along with your Bible study as a supplement that are really good to understand it. And then again, every day you're gonna pull out your your CSB encouraged devotional Bible, your highlighters, your Bible tabs will already be in there, and then your pencils for journaling. So those are all of the tools that I have for you today. I think that they are so, so important. They're so, so helpful for me. It's really changed the game within my Bible study. And so my action step for you is now to head to the link in the show notes to buy at least one of these tools, if not more, based off of what really spoke to you today, what you feel like you're being called to buy, what you feel like is missing in your Bible study journey right now. And so I feel like that was it is just to go check out that new resource that I've created for you. I'm so excited about it. I hope it's super helpful. I can't wait to see what you say about all the different tools that I'm sharing with you today. So if you have any feedback or anything, make sure to send me a DM at Step Into Bold Faith on TikTok. And I would love to hear from you. And so now let's end in our prayer. God, thank you so much for each and every woman listening to this right now, Lord. I am so just so, so grateful that people are choosing to learn more about their Bibles, that they want to get into Bible study, that they enjoy listening to this podcast, Lord, that they're ready to take the next step in their Bible study journey and really learn about their Bible and love it and become interested in it and just make it a part of their daily routine and daily habit, Lord. And I just pray that they find the right tools and something connects that has been missing for them on their Bible study journey through what I talked about today. And I hope it's just so helpful, especially for that beginner woman out there who is just lost and overwhelmed by her Bible, that this really makes it so much easier and that this platform brings her so much joy and ease and really helps her with that overwhelm, Lord. And I'm just so appreciative for you and the guidance that you've led me on this beautiful journey to help other women learn about the Bible, Lord. I'm just so eternally grateful for you. And so I love you so much. I worship you in Jesus' name. Amen. So until next time, thank you so much for coming along the journey with me, and I will see you soon to learn more about Bible study. Okay, bye.
