I'm gonna talk a little bit about um spring football, I guess, is where we're gonna go. Uh starting out with us all a little of the player interviews today. Um Pete's uh press conference, I think it was yesterday, it was really good as well, too.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I watched uh uh I watched it last night. Uh he's good at this, I feel like. He's uh I think he's gonna do I really do I really do think he's I'm not just trying to pump sunshine. Like I really think he's gonna be really good at this. I mean, the recruiting, like we've always said always uh uh already said a bunch, the player retention, the portal guys, and uh I've got here in my notes too. Uh I feel like people forget about how good of a portal haul he had the first few days of the portal, like the first two days of the portal, you know, it lasts like two weeks. And those first couple days, he really first few days he he really reeled in some hosses on defense. And I feel like people people have kind of forgotten about that.
SPEAKER_02One of the ones uh we got was uh from Florida, Sharif Denson. I saw he was interviewed as well, too. Pretty good well. On Radio Ray's uh Radio Ray, that's what I was gonna say, is uh Radio Ray had him on as well too, uh, and interviewed him, uh asked him about his hair and his hairstyle.
SPEAKER_00If you hadn't checked that out yet, go to uh Ole Miss 365, like and subscribe uh on their on their Twitter page, I mean uh Facebook, YouTube channel, and uh all those things as well, too. Also top shelf Grumman's YouTube channel, but on the uh Ole Miss 365 YouTube channel, we have a show called Radio Rays. Yeah. We're hosted by Raymond Collins. Yeah, linebacker for Ole Miss. Edded by Surf Producer. Yeah, absolutely. Um but yeah, check that out. Look, he this is a uh pretty good show. Uh Raymond is a natural at that. He had a Sheree Denson on a couple weeks ago.
SPEAKER_02He had uh Tavoy Fegan, uh which is really he was really uh nice, uh well spoken as well, too. And said he uh he said, You've been from Florida, and he said, Well, actually I was born in Alabama. He said, Man, you got and he said, Well, I've been there for 10 years, so I guess you are a Floridian. But uh I saw um what's the guy we got from Oregon uh Purchase, I think is his last name, man. He was very well spoken. You can tell he's played a lot of football, been around uh, you know, and and just want to want to be better. And I, you know, I heard some some comments from and maybe even uh Pete Golding said that you can just tell that he's he knows how to carry himself. And it's kind of hard if you're coming in here, you're just by yourself. Uh you know, you're coming to a new program, you're trying to find your way, but uh and also be a leader because you're a an upperclassman as well, too. It's kind of an interesting, you know, dynamic that didn't used to happen like that.
SPEAKER_00I just feel like I don't know, like it was when Lane was here, uh not not not really this matters, but we're getting like more like in-depth interviews, like the players are like like scared to talk. Seems like when Lever Lane was here, like you never got these Maybe I'm just missing it because I'm a little closer to it now, but I just I feel like there's more candor.
SPEAKER_02There's more like, hey, this is this is kind of like they didn't like know Lane Kiffin, I don't think they didn't really have anything to say about him kind of either one thing to other than an offensive mind and play caller and you know, kind of a weirdo and you know and all that stuff. It wasn't a lot, it wasn't a lot to talk about for sure.
SPEAKER_00But uh back to the defense, kind of like I've been uh I've I've been calling this. This defense is gonna be elite, and by all accounts, we've got some hosses on that side of the ball. Attitude. Look, we were not a bad defense a year ago. We were an okay defense.
SPEAKER_02We gave up a lot of yards. I feel like I think that was some athlete stuff.
SPEAKER_00I feel like this defense, I well, I don't know how to say I'm not gonna say that. I'm gonna say this, though. A better defense wouldn't would have won that Miami game. They would have held it on that last drive after we went down and scored and took the lead. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I mean Well, and we were exhausted too. Uh and that all starts up front with the defensive line. Will Eccles and Cam Franklin played, you know, 90% of the snaps in that game and just got worn out, and we didn't have any depth.
SPEAKER_00We've asked more than we've had a lot of depth to see. Absolutely. The the spring, you not be kids not being able to transfer to the spring anymore also helps. Pete Gilden was talking about look, when you have these conversations, if they if they don't like how it goes, they can't say, well, I'm leaving.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00But years past that they thought they might they might be second or third team, they were going to try to leave. And I don't feel like they'd be starting somewhere, you know, which they're really not.
SPEAKER_02Well he said that, and that's that's leading to the scout team reps and the uh, you know, the second team and stuff are playing better reps because they said, hey, you know, this is where you need to be by summertime, this is where you need to be by fall camp. Uh or you know, we're gonna start looking for other options. You won't be playing, you'll be up this kind of you know, role. And that's what I've heard from everybody is it doesn't matter what it is, they've been upfront with, you know, this is your role, this is what you're gonna try to be, and this is how you need to improve.
SPEAKER_00Like you said, yeah, he's not perfect, Oxford's not perfect, oh Miss is not perfect. I mean just be honest with him, that's all you can do, especially in this day and age.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, or are they gonna do leave? Yeah, probably. So you might as well just be honest with them. Yeah. Get sugar coated the whole time so they can shit talk you when they get to the next school. You might as well be up front for sure.
SPEAKER_00Kind of talk a little offense too. Trinidad, you know, he didn't get to go he didn't get here to about till about this time last year. I think I think he got to campus actually in June some at some point. Yeah. When he signed him around the end of April. Um him being able to go through spring practice and get all these reps with all these receivers, but some of the new guys too. Uh what's the what's the guy's name that transferred from Texas? Uh the Cook, John T. Cook, or whatever. From Syracuse, but yeah.
SPEAKER_02Syracuse, but Texas.
SPEAKER_00And sometimes you know the light bulb takes a long time to come on for some of these guys. But anyway, they're saying he is really showing out. Yeah. But I I don't know these people are saying they this. They I got to view spring practice a day or two, and you what what what can you really see in twelve minutes, you know? And the the media's only gotten a handful of those, probably not even an hour's worth total the whole time.
SPEAKER_02I think it was poignant what uh what Pete was saying about you know if you love football or not, and you know, there can be some problems. And he said, if anybody's had any issues, you know, I have as well too. I know what it's like to be young and and make mistakes. He said, but if I can tell that you love football, he's like, you'll play. And this is your last, kind of your last two raw. Um not saying that it's it's good to have their back against the wall, but you either got one direction you can either go. You can either you know bust your ass and be a good football player, or like like he said today, it's either football or bust, you know, in the state of Texas. So I mean hopefully, hopefully he's gonna, you know, go on the straight and narrow.
SPEAKER_00Um kind of talking about uh well you're talking about Cook, he can just he really has been in any trouble, I don't think. Not off the but I'm not not that we know of, I don't think, but yeah, he just kind of violation of team rules. Thought he was gonna come in there and be the next Randy Mall, five star and all that. But I think he another another guy that's kind of that same boat is the uh Jaheem Otis. Yeah. Um he's kind of bounced around a little bit.
SPEAKER_01Humbled. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Thought he could go to the NFL uh right out of high school.
SPEAKER_02Um but I think less than most young kids, you don't know as much as you think you do.
SPEAKER_00I think that exactly, we've all been there. I think that Otis, I think he's really gonna be uh stud for us this year.
SPEAKER_02And if anything, like I said, a big body that can put something in there and and give you know Will Eccles a break uh and Cam Franklin a break. And like I said, had depth pieces been there last year, I think that defense would have been completely different. When you when you up front, yeah. Well, and you know, in 2024 when we had that that vaunted defensive line, you could just tell how much easier it was for the linebackers as a secondary. Yeah, it was it was a lot different. Uh when you got when you got the quarterbacks being, you know, next being barreled down every single play. The second dude don't have to be as good. It takes a lot to pressure. It can completely change the game.
SPEAKER_00But um, I heard I heard this on Stephen Willis's show, who by the way is gonna be, I think it's gonna be at El Mariachi tomorrow night.
SPEAKER_02This show will probably already be had a nice show on uh Monday night for uh Stephen Willis.
SPEAKER_00He had uh I don't know, probably 30 or 40 people come through there at the Velvet Ditch and meet and greet and take pictures and just heck of a nice he was I really thought he was he was a nice guy for real. I'm gonna we're gonna we're gonna get to see him again tomorrow night. It's probably gonna be at El Mariachi, one of uh Ole Miss 365's sponsors, but we're not 100% sure on that. But probably so.
SPEAKER_02Um Keep it locked on the Twitter page and OleMus 365 for updates.
SPEAKER_00Yes, we'll be updated tomorrow for sure. But um I saw where he was talking about on he made a point on his show, one of the ones I was watching, I think, last week. This people for this this offense was tailored for and tailored around Austin Simmons. Yep. And see, they they you can't change or you know, really change anything mid-season, especially for the first few weeks, everybody kind of thought he was gonna come back. Simmons is coming back, Simmons is coming back, and he never did.
SPEAKER_02I'm sure Trinidad had a package or two that was, you know, put in for him as a backup. Uh but they then they had to s you know swap the offense in the middle of the year. Well, and then you got to go.
SPEAKER_00And it still wasn't like it was uh it was still Austin Simmons offense. And I think Trinidad is gonna be just as good. If not now, there's gonna be a lot more pressure on him this year. You know, he's not gonna be flying it under the radar. He's he's he's the he's the highest man front runner. He's one of them anyway.
SPEAKER_02He didn't seem to flinch when any of it happened last year. No, he did not. Every time it got bigger, it seemed like he was uh stepping up.
SPEAKER_00And I heard this isn't the dumbass Matt Stenchcomb on SEC now before we came here and started this. Matt Stenchcomb is still butthurt from twelve years ago when Laramie Tunsil went to Ole Miss. I swear.
SPEAKER_02He threw the hat.
SPEAKER_00There was one year while he was playing at Ole Miss Tuncil, we played Presbyterian. I was at the I went to the grove, that game was cold as a well digger's ass. And Stitchcomb was calling that game. I'll never forget it. Like he was like just dog, we were up like 60 to nothing. He's dogging us the entire freaking time, just backhanded calling. Well, this wouldn't be happening if we were playing uh just the biggest butthurt baby you can ever see, and I hadn't really liked him ever since then because he always degrades old Miss. But I was watching him SEC now about 20 minutes ago before we did this podcast. Yeah. And um they were discussing Trinidad Chandless and all that. He's like, well, you know, he's good, blah, blah, blah, and all this. But people forget he played bad against Georgia. Number one, he did not play bad against Georgia the first game. No. He had a bad fourth quarter, and we he put up 50 points in that game. I mean, my God. Yeah. And uh He didn't play bad. He he he called him out for he said he put the blame on him for Washington State almost beating us. But he did not have a bad, like he threw a bunch of interceptions or anything.
SPEAKER_02I mean our offense wasn't clicking that game. The whole team wasn't clicking.
SPEAKER_00We were like 40-point favorites, had to hang on for dear life, for God's sake. Like hangover for very easily could have very could have easily lost that game. Um But I just think I f I'm feeling big things from Trentad this year. As long as he don't get hurt.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. And uh He seems to be putting on some weight too. The the the guys Raymond and uh Tegan were talking the other day before the podcast, uh, they did, and said, and said, man, Trent's gotta he's he's he's gotta lay off the weights a little bit. He's got thick. He's got bugs, yeah. He's gonna an SEC season, you better put on some damn weight. As long as it doesn't affect your those.
SPEAKER_00We kind of said the same thing about Lacey. Yeah. As we're gonna, as I'm gonna say about Trinidad. We're we're not gonna have I don't think we're gonna have to like rely on them so much to win games this year. It's gonna be we've got more depth. Like we had talent last year, but the depth we kind of wasn't there in a few spots. And uh well, I think we've got that this year. I really do, especially on defense. By the way, did you see where the uh uh what's his name that went to with Lane, the LSU, the uh Glasscock? Glasscock. So like we talking about the reason we won the reason Ole Miss won was because we just spent our money so much, but we we didn't have any misses.
SPEAKER_02We didn't have a bunch of money sitting on the sideline.
SPEAKER_00He literally said we didn't we didn't have a bunch of money on the sideline holding a clipboard. Spencer Sanders would like a word. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02We signed him $300,000 is really not that much in the grand scheme of things, if you remember. He was one of our highest paid players on the team. I know. That's back in the day when a million-dollar quarterback was unheard of. Just a mere three years ago.
SPEAKER_00I know way, way, way back when, you know. But uh and I every school does that, but this like Lane and this GN acting like there's some like Savant or something.
SPEAKER_02Look, they're very good at their job, okay? They're still selling the old miss uh you know success as you know just absolutely generational. It was us. We we were the ones that did it. There was no infrastructure, you know, being laid down, no groundwork or anything like that.
SPEAKER_00There's no Keith Carter, no Walker Jones, no grub collective, none of that. Just all Lane and my and this GM. Or, you know, or like I said, they're both very good at their jobs. Lane Kiffin is a great football coach. I mean, it's undeniable. But to act like that they're just the one and only ones, I mean, come on.
SPEAKER_02And also, too, Austin Thomas is is gonna do a great job. He was here already before, yeah, and you know, reunited with Pete, and he's he's done a great job in a GM as well, too. It's the same principle. You're not gonna overpay for it, it's not like it's some kind of groundbreaking, you know, like secret sauce they have. It's just you're evaluating players like, oh, we give them a grade and then you know, pay them by this, and well, that's not the market. It's like, well, okay, well, you can go be uh so-and-so. You didn't have that luxury saying let it all miss. You didn't have the luxury of saying, oh, well, you can be somebody else's starter somewhere else, you'll be our our third string or fourth string here, and we'll pay you this. He's using that now for LSU, but in the early days you didn't have that.
SPEAKER_00And he's kind of trying to temper expectations. I think he's talking about what he hopes to do at LSU, but I don't think there's this like, you know I think Lane's gonna win at LSU, but I th also think he's gonna be his own worst enemy. He's gonna he's gonna end up hanging himself or something. He's gonna give enough rope.
SPEAKER_02The first time that the LSU loses to somebody that their fans think they shouldn't lose till he tweets out some cute shit the next day about He's uh he's he's tweeting a picture of a gator while he's uh while he's down in Florida, about about to lose to Florida.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, when he does something like that, they're not gonna it's not gonna end well for him. No, it's not gonna end well at all. Um This football team, I I just I was looking at our schedule a while ago too. Man, it is freaking brutal as hell. But I just this team would be this we we would be ranked number two or number three if uh Pete Golden was an improving head coach. Yeah. I think that's the reason we're around eighth or ninth, is because of that.
SPEAKER_02I really think that it's it's more about the teams in front of us than it is what we are, but that's that and then along with the schedule, uh along with uh, you know. Really you're right, with the head coach though. They're oh we're gonna see what it is first, but here's what it is on talent-wise. But I mean, well John David Baker is not proven by himself at Ole Miss, you know, even though he played, you know, he he coached really well at ECU.
SPEAKER_00We've got some guys I'm ready to see to jump back. I I've been talking about the Southern Utah running back. And Pink said all of our running backs have showed great flash this year. The uh Khaquil Mills Knight. Um He said when it comes on from Southern Utah, yeah. I mean he's gonna it's gonna happen, I think. Um I think Caleb Odom is gonna be a breakout player this year. I think he's he's kind of one of those ones too. I think the light is kind of or the makeup call has come on. He's kind of been like a I want to say menace, but that's not the right word.
SPEAKER_02He's been like a I'm a five-star guy.
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna be the best player on the team type.
SPEAKER_02He's put 20 pounds on in the past. Yeah, I saw him up close the other day. He looked big. Yeah, he looks a lot bigger. I think last year he was kind of I'm not playing scared, but you know, he's lanky and and you can get hurt a little easier, like I said, if you hadn't you hadn't put any weight on.
SPEAKER_00Look, I think I think our offense is gonna be just as good, if not better. And I think our defense is gonna be way better than it was. I also think our schedule's way tougher. But I don't know if that goes into rankings or anything. Does nine and three get you in the playoffs? Of course you don't want to try that, but they're gonna try to screw the SEC if they can. I don't want to try to go down if they make the playoffs, but they'll find a way. I mean, if our schedule, if we go nine and three.
SPEAKER_02If we go nine and three with our schedule and beat the teams that I think we're going to to get to nine and three, then we should definitely be in there. Uh but that's that's gonna be something to definitely look at.
SPEAKER_00By the way, can I say something? Go to hell, Nick Saban and Urbanmeyer. They've been run around here. I always I always kind of I respected Saban. He's the goat won't say what national championships, but I'm sorry, the way he acted on College Game Day over the over the kiffin stuff, and how you could tell he didn't want to be up there saying that stuff. Like he just tell like Jimmy Sex is making me do this. Uh I mean, but anyway, people I see all these people all the time on saying, uh, we should make uh Saban the uh commissioner of college football. We should make the He needs to be the furthest away from college football as he can possibly get. He wants to go back to Well you say don't put the wolf in the hen house? Well, he's always talking about he's kind of acting like, oh, I did it the right way in Alabama. I did it the right way. My Aiken for God's sake. I mean Ain't no way. I mean, just stay away from college football and work on your hair dye job, for God's sake. It looks terrible. You got a few car dealerships to run the other thing. And Urban Meyer, too, is trying to act like he's some damn bastion of integrity now. Yeah. I mean, uh, it's agonizing. It really is agonizing. Um but uh uh all the spring football practice and all that coverage. Go head to OMS365.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, absolutely. Um, YouTube page, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Like and subscribe to uh Top Shelf Gremlin. We we gained a couple subscribers. I think we're at 80 subscribers now.
SPEAKER_02We're we're on the way to 100. We're there. We're almost done.
SPEAKER_00You're gonna go ahead and say this too. They hadn't opened yet, but we're gonna be doing some live shows here coming up at the Los Palmas Palmos uh Bar and Grill. Sports Bar and Grill.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. The first sports bar, true sports bar.
SPEAKER_00True sports bar. They're gonna have a back patio. Um we're gonna be doing like a I think we're gonna try to do either a Wednesday night, Thursday night show, one of the two up there, a live show. And we're gonna be doing a lot more live shows on their football season this football season this year, too. We're gonna be I'm gonna be doing one um that morning sometime before the early games and that night after.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00We're gonna have to uh stay sober on Saturday now a little bit. Um, a lot of Sunday fun days in coming, but anyway, a lot of big things happening with OMS 365 and top shelf grumbling, so just stay tuned.
SPEAKER_02Let's make our way to talking to Yeah, we're gonna talk about the Red Hot Rebels. Just to wrap that up. Uh oh yeah, but uh Meet the Rebels is Saturday. Yeah, Meet the Rebels is a Saturday, uh, and then we'll they'll have the spring game uh coming up. Or whatever they call it. Yeah, whatever they're gonna call it. I'm not sure it's a spring game. Anyway, Red Hot Rebels has passed uh past two weekends have have won uh eight, nine, two.
SPEAKER_00We have won, I wrote this down we've won eleven out of the last twelve.
SPEAKER_02Eleven of the last twelve, okay. I know it was it was getting it was getting on out.
SPEAKER_00We swept we swept two, then we took two out of three and we hadn't lost we're undefeated in the midweek since then.
SPEAKER_02So yeah, you know, and I I think, you know, an outlier at Tennessee on on Sunday uh just got kind of the bats going on. Tennessee's a good team. Tennessee's a good they should have been ranked uh They weren't ranked, but they should have been after their, you know, their series sweep of who? I can't remember who they swept. Mississippi State. Mississippi State, yeah, it was Mississippi State.
SPEAKER_00Well, they Mississippi State swept us, and we hadn't look, I don't think we've lost one game since they swept us. And I'm um and I've been saying all year I was kind of bullshit on this team. I was like, look, I thought they're gonna be fine, they're gonna be fine. And I'm gonna tell you, I was kind of I was questioning that that very heavily after that stake series. There wasn't any lie.
SPEAKER_02I was I was questioning after Matt. Matt Moscone said that we had a thin bullpen. I had no idea that our bullpen was thin until he told us about it. So the LSU fan of turning on that asshole. Oh yeah, I forgot he was uh he's in the doghouse for Well what did he do? He uh he said they basically got a good quarterback, but they didn't know if they got the right quarterback. And so the the kid's dad snapped back on Twitter and was like, uh, shut up. Shut up, stupid.
SPEAKER_00I kind of agree with Matt on that. I'm not sure they've uh I don't know.
SPEAKER_02I I don't think they didn't know the kid was so red hot no no no this is not talking about the no, this is a a recruit they got. Oh, literally just got a commitment from a recruit and he had to say something stupid about it.
SPEAKER_00Well, how'd he know on that? I'll tell you someone I was I take that back. I do not agree with Matt Muscana. I take the I take my agreement back. Not agree. But the red hot rebs.
SPEAKER_02Found the bats, have found the bats. God just actually put it on the the folks that ruined our life last year uh this pass on the weekend. Yeah, 17 to 9.
SPEAKER_00No, 19 to 2.
SPEAKER_02Well, yeah, they scored. And it was they had a sad tweet about not being shut out.
SPEAKER_00Uh Tennessee did that too.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00One of the, I think it was uh game two.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it was on D.
SPEAKER_00They hit a home run. It was like make it to make it seven to two. They're like, no shutout today. No shut out today, guys. Wow. You know, they really got us. Really on top of that. I I could I I had to go like make it look and make sure to see if that was real. I was like, no way they their actual account tweeted that.
SPEAKER_02I think I was gonna you talked about the a few times about we need just a couple more bats to step up. Uh Owen Peno has been ridiculous at the at the uh at the plate. Um Federico has come around April.
SPEAKER_00Absolutely over the last 12 games is 17, uh 17 for 33, 10 RBIs, and batting 515. That's pretty stout right there. And uh pretty stout. Bassetta kind of came out of his uh slump, mini slump he had it for a couple of series. Yeah. Uh Judd Udemark, Udamark Udemark, I don't really know how he's supposed to say it. He's about to beat Udemar. He's about to beat Tim Elk.
SPEAKER_02If you listen to David Kellum on the radio, you should know how to pronounce our baseball players.
SPEAKER_00They I do, but him and whatchy call it say it differently. Him and Brad Henderson say it differently.
SPEAKER_01Well do you uh we've lost Eli.
SPEAKER_00Eli the headless Eli.
SPEAKER_01Uh uh. Anyway.
SPEAKER_02No, we will not. It's low production tonight. Low production.
SPEAKER_00Um who else was uh was uh But no, you're the might finna break the all-time, sneakily finna break the all-time home run record home run record.
SPEAKER_02Gotta get a piss missile or two this week on a tasty night.
SPEAKER_00I'd maybe like to see maybe one or maybe one maybe one or two more bullpen arms um step up, but I really don't have any like this this pitching staff is uh elite.
SPEAKER_02We've kind of been like uh Hudson Calhoun hooks, Hudson Calhoun hooks and be and uh thank you, bam's lamb, thank you, ma'am.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, well we need we need but we hadn't really need anybody.
SPEAKER_02You're we're gonna we we will need somebody down the stretch, somebody else to We're not gonna get our starters to go, you know, five and six innings every game like we have been. But right now.
SPEAKER_00What about the golden kid that's been a stretch? Yeah, Cannon Golden's been really good. He's been good. And look, all I said, all all we kept saying were was all we need is one or two. It looks like we got three or four that have stepped up. Yeah. And if just maybe one or two of them can hold, we're gonna be fine.
SPEAKER_02I mean I saw, you know, was it Sunday too? They moved uh they moved the lineup around a little bit. They put like Uttermark first in the lineup and then they moved Don Decker to like sixth or something.
SPEAKER_00What you call it was batting the two-hole too, but said a lot anyway, but um This offense was putrid. I mean, absolutely freaking awful. Now dare we say we have a good offense now. I mean I remember when Basetta was like 0 for 19 or something. Um we all we were saying this too, 500 gets you uh 500 gets you in the hose. And I think this weekend is a big series. We got Georgia coming to town, the number one team in the SEC.
SPEAKER_02Um didn't you say they got like run rule or something in the midweek game?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I also looked at that too. Uh Georgia Tech's like number two in the country. But still, I mean it can happen in a midweek. I don't ever I never put much stock in midweek games. Unless you lose a bunch of them, let them pile up on you.
SPEAKER_02I think you're the reason Eli's moving, because you're moving.
SPEAKER_00Dang it, Eli. Be still back there with your knife creek. Um if we could take two out of three this weekend, we're gonna be right firmly in the national seed talk.
SPEAKER_02Oh, absolutely.
SPEAKER_00And we don't we should be already, because our our RPI is like four this top ten, I know. I think it's number four or five.
SPEAKER_02It was eleven before we went in to uh to play uh Tennessee, I thought it was something crazy. And that's what matters if we come down to hosting is the RPI. Our last three series are all ranked opponents as well, too. Last four series.
SPEAKER_00Well, see, what somebody was saying, I think it was Borkey and them talking about one of the main reasons our RPIs as high as it is, is because we sway up Missouri State. Yeah. And Missouri State is like they've lost like two games in the conference the whole damn year. Three or four at the most. Yeah. And um That's pretty stout. Yes, like I said, found the bats. Yeah. Hidey tighty, got the Georgia Bulldogs coming in. Was it Friday, Saturday, Sunday? I think it is Friday, Saturday, Sunday, yeah.
SPEAKER_02I'll have to look at that and make sure.
SPEAKER_01But haven't looked.
SPEAKER_02But yeah, red hot rebs.
SPEAKER_00Red Hot Rebs. Uh we've got a few more things here tonight.
SPEAKER_02Um the little little round ball.
SPEAKER_00Basketball?
SPEAKER_02The little um Sea Island, Georgia.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's Sea Island, Georgia. The uh SEC men's golf championship is going on. 15 under?
SPEAKER_0214 or 15 under. I think it was 15 under. Maybe that's what I saw. They may have struck away.
SPEAKER_00We have a one-shot lead on Oklahoma and a three or four shot lead on the third place team, which is one number one Auburn, who has just been killing everybody all year.
SPEAKER_02Jackson Covey and is ridiculous.
SPEAKER_00I mean an old men's, they they've been they have literally been ranked like I think it's 12th. They have been ranked like all spring, early spring, you want to call it. Because you have like golf is like they're about dang near year-round. Now they played all the way to October and like a different fall season. Anyway.
SPEAKER_02We talked about their jet schedule. My gosh. I know. What a travel. What a traveling.
SPEAKER_00This is like the worst place they've gone. Yeah. I mean, it really is telling you back to Cabo. Um out in California and places too. Um the the the Ole Miss team, they've been around 11th, 12th, 13th all year. They always they've they're capable of playing any day, any time with anybody in the country, but they have they have they're kind of inconsistent. Like they have a two really, really good days and then have a just a complete awful day in their in-between or on the last day, either one.
SPEAKER_01I understand that.
SPEAKER_00Yes. I mean that's golf, but um if they can um put this together, come down the stretch here towards the end of the season, they can win the whole. They can win the whole, and they can win the national championship. Yeah. Um Cam Tankersley and Co and Trolio today both shot six under and are uh two behind the lead. There's like an eight-way tie for second, a bunch of other guys too. That's stout. Six under is pretty stout. Yes. Uh I think it was a 64, too. A 64, 600. Uh so um par 70. I did see, I think it was David wrote something. The that we played the par threes really good today as a team. Um But anyway, we're in the lead after day one. And I don't know if this is a three or a four-day shin dig. I bet it's a four, I bet it may be all during the weekend. I don't know. Yeah. Um But I'm excited to see how this finishes. The reasonably coming up next week or two. And um let's see what the Rebels can do. I think they I think they got a shot here. Absolutely. Absolutely.
SPEAKER_02Um something else big happening this week.
SPEAKER_00Caladega's this weekend. They'll earn hard. Um I'm gonna try to have I might have a little race party. I need to work this weekend. I might have a race party Sunday. Um Sunday race party. Read to watch it, maybe cook some ribs or something, pretend we pretend like we're at Talladega. There's a bunch of there's a bunch of young up and comers uh coming up that have never experienced Dega before. It's a bunch of young drivers. I'm kinda kind of want to see how they uh react. Um I've probably been 15 times, 20 times, hell, maybe more than that. I don't know. Logano always runs good here. Uh William Byron, um, Bubba Wallace, better better hate to say it.
SPEAKER_02They should make the uh the Talled Negger rookies, they should make them stay in the free the free camping. No, no, it wouldn't make it to the race.
SPEAKER_00They wouldn't make it to the race. Um I'm looking for Chase Elliott. I'm calling Shocker here. Chase Elliott's gonna win this race. Chase Elliott fan here, guys. And see, there's always there's two races, the spring race and the fall race. The fall race, everybody's kind of trying to uh be more it's during the playoffs, they're trying to be more conservative and stuff like that. During the spring. The spring race, everybody kind of lets it all hang out. It's a lot better race. The party's better in the fall, but uh the race is better in the spring, but I've always told people. Um But yeah. NASCAR party. Talladega. Talladega, Saturday, Sunday, Sunday, Sunday.
SPEAKER_02Sunday, Sunday, Sunday. But uh That's about all I got for tonight. Alright. Well guys, that's been a top shelf grumbling episode uh this evening.
