Hi guys, we're back here with the Top Shelf Grumbling Podcast. What could we have to talk about today? We were uh threatening to go live the other night, uh, but we let cooler heads prevail so we could actually get through this without a whole bunch of beeps and uh and just editing uh from all the customers.

SPEAKER_00

Editing nightmare.

SPEAKER_01

Editing nightmare. So no, we're here. We're not gonna bury the lead. Uh Lane Kiffin has decided to put his entire foot in his mouth. Uh I don't know if anybody in the entire college football uh arena has said that was a great thing. I'm glad.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I've seen he's been getting drugged by every nation. Every single person. Finally. Finally. He kind of got they kind of took up for him, I'd say for the most part, he left to begin with. But he's the way he's acted, he keeps he talks about Ole Miss almost daily.

SPEAKER_01

Absolutely. Absolutely. It's almost like Sally Rychalk, his ex-girlfriend, who he stalked like a sick. Allegedly. No, he's not allegedly. Everybody knows it. Allegedly. Um I'm hot under the collar. This is ridiculous.

SPEAKER_00

I'm gonna say, I'm gonna start off by I want to apologize because I was I really had like bought into the changed.

SPEAKER_01

Hook, line, and sinker. I was I was there as well, too.

SPEAKER_00

All he did was lose a little weight. Guilty as charged. Use a little weight, lost a little weight. But I'm I'm just using common things like, okay, the man's almost 50 years old. He's you know, he's matured a little bit.

SPEAKER_01

You think that's a natural progression? Yes, exactly. But when you're when you're working with a clearly psychopathic person um with zero morals or you know, standards or boundaries in this life, doesn't know whether to lie, what's a lie and what's the truth, um, you know, can't delete this tweet. I mean, once you do an article like this, you can't delete it.

SPEAKER_00

Um I wish somebody needs to go, and maybe I'll do this. Do like a how many like the lies he has told.

SPEAKER_01

How many times he's contradicted himself within the six months?

SPEAKER_00

I went and I went and read the Vanity Fair article. He he first of all repeats this the same lie again about getting run off the road on the way to the airport, which has been debunked by the Mississippi Highway Patrol, multiple other agencies that have said that was the complete bullshit. Um let's see, he also says that he talked to zero coaches that advise absolutely zero coaches advise him to uh stay at old man, which I know uh for 100% fact is not true. Um in fact, Nick Saban was saying he should have should stay two weeks before Jimmy Sexton told him to do a 180. I know I know it's odd that Saban does a 180. And I also want to say this too. I'm sick of people saying, let's put Nick Saban in charge of college football. He needs to worry about his damn hair dye job. No. And he I want that midget so far away from college football. And look, I respect him as a coach, he's a great coach, but he wants he can say what he wants. He wants college football to go back to like it was where the same five teams had a chance to win every year and everybody else was just middling around. That's what he wants.

SPEAKER_01

He he wants that in some capacity. Uh he he doesn't he doesn't like that he was frustrated with the parody uh when you know teams like Hugh Freeze were were beating him uh when he weren't supposed to.

SPEAKER_00

And that the that parody came from the hurry up no hole offenses.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, he wishes it could be different a different kind of parody now. Three yards in a cloud of dust. He would love it when he could go.

SPEAKER_00

He tried to out he tried to get think about this, people. Nick Saban tried to outlaw Hurry Up offense. Yeah, he did. He wanted it to be.

SPEAKER_01

It's Brett.

SPEAKER_00

It's Bert on this program. Um look, Kibba's a great play caller, great offensive mind, but that's literally about it. That's it. That is not a he's not a good recruiter. He's awkward. He's a scumbag who's like how many how many times I've heard like so many stories of like he'll ask these like Coaz come over and come over and dog sit for him and they're hot tub. And they get over there and there's no dog.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, no, no dog. It's a him. It's him, he's the dog. And he won't sit. He won't for f sake. And I'm sick of this shit.

SPEAKER_00

I remember Andy Kid Andy Kennedy told a story one time. They asked him about uh I think it was uh Snoot White, and they said, you know, he's like a puppy. He does a bunch of cute shit, and all of a sudden he shits in the middle of the floor. Absolutely. I don't know. I don't know what made me think of that.

SPEAKER_01

That's pretty funny. That's pretty funny. No, this whole thing to me is uh it's He used the word segregation. It's not segregated. Uh and here's the thing so bullshit. What's what's so difficult about this to me is that you you literally talked not a year ago about Oxford and how great it was and how good the community was uh and all these things. So which one is it? Which which one is it? Because you can't live in both worlds and you can't try to back you know walk back why you left to go to LSU. Nobody cares why you went to LSU at this point. We wanted to hear the story of you leaving, not he keeps trying to validate. Yeah, he's validating it, you know, why he went. You know, it doesn't matter anymore. Uh, but trying to say, oh, you're you'll they'll never build a statue of you here because it just it's never happened and uh it's just never gonna happen. And and he went to the world.

SPEAKER_00

Why was he why is he all of a sudden telling himself?

SPEAKER_01

No, and I and I said this today, and I told you this. His mantra was uh do things that have never been done before. I mean, that's something you heard Jackson Dart say because that's what Lane Kiffin had told him. Like that was the reason why. And was that a lie? Was that just to motivate people? It's not actually what you feel. Like, is everything manipulative? Is every single aspect of your single life manipulative to the point where you can't remember what you were trying to do? You're just worried about getting a result. You don't care how you get there, as long as you get the result, and you forget about the process and how you're supposed to do it, and he for he forgets. He literally forgets what he's supposed to do, or he's just a psychopath, which I think it might be the latter.

SPEAKER_00

It might be.

SPEAKER_01

He's he's so manipulative, he doesn't even know that he's being a complete psychopath. He um he's completely dissolved from reality.

SPEAKER_00

Number one, he got butthurt that he that we didn't let him coach the playoffs. He really thought, I guess, we were just gonna sing Kunk Kumbaya and let him ride to the freaking sunset.

SPEAKER_01

He acted like Kim Kardashian when we told him no.

SPEAKER_00

And he then, okay, he got butthurt about that. Then he also thought he was gonna I'm gonna raid their roster. Yeah. So they're gonna let me coach the playoffs. That didn't happen. And he's just literally throwing a t he I've said this a million times. He won't him and LSU fans, they want us to be like sitting around in shambles, like, well, what are we gonna do now? You know, chiffin left. I left, you know.

SPEAKER_01

He's treating this like a junior high breakup.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, my God.

SPEAKER_01

I mean it's you don't you didn't hear him talk about FAU?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Never heard him say a word about FAU at Ole Miss. Why? It wasn't a it wasn't a messy leaving from FAU because there really wasn't anything at stake. There was something at stake at Tennessee, there was something at stake at USC when he got fired on tarmac, there was something at stake at Alabama when he got let go, but there wasn't anything at stake at FAU. So you're telling me there's definitely something at stake at Ole Miss for you to stay there and and to finish off a playoff and to actually but he didn't he didn't want to ride off into the sunset. He he didn't like it. He probably didn't like it here in the first place. He tried to leave in 2022 and 2024 and probably every other year, but we just didn't ever hear about some of those years.

SPEAKER_00

But I don't know. I think something I think all of a sudden he decided I'm getting out of here, and I don't know what that was.

SPEAKER_01

Uh it's so weird. You can see it in some of his press conferences. You go back and look at him, he he would just be awkward. You could tell when he actually I guess he was probably manic, where he just was like actually looked like he cared for a little while. Uh but he screwed up his his you know dream roster. He was distracted all he wanted that he was. Gave him everything he needed that year to win a national championship, and and he blamed it on everybody but Lane Kiffin. So what is that? It's a narcissist. A narcissist blames everybody else but themselves, and that's what he is. Anyway, I don't want to talk about this guy anymore, but obviously can I say Lane?

SPEAKER_00

Does Lane know where LSU got there masculine?

SPEAKER_01

I'm not saying I don't want to talk about it. I mean, we can still talk about it. I'm just sick of talking about this dude.

SPEAKER_00

I'm about uh I'm about all I'm gonna say about it, really. Um there were several black players that didn't go with him to Baton Rouge that had the opportunity to go to Baton Rouge and decide to stay in this, according to Lane, a segregated place. Well that's just insanity, right?

SPEAKER_01

Nothing worse than to to to belittle something. Someone right now in 2026, the University of Mississippi can do nothing about what happened 50 years ago. Zero. They cannot change what happened. We've come so far, done so many things, and it's it's unreal, you know, how many people Mississippi is one of the the largest states with a black population in it. Why would a bunch of black people want to live in Mississippi if it was so terrible? In Oxford if it was so terrible. Why would you want to go to go to Ole Miss if it was so terrible?

SPEAKER_00

I mean, anybody blows my mind. You gotta give Stephen A. Smith credit. He talked shit about Yeah. But then he came down here and saw for himself and was like, you know, I was an idiot. Yeah. And look, Lane has been here for six, you know, really seven years he was here. Uh it's just an insane I don't know if it I was talking to David Johnson earlier. He thinks he thinks it's a recruiting pitch.

SPEAKER_01

He thinks he sees that. Oh, he's gonna try to get people to come to Baton Rouge instead of negative recruiting pitch.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, he said he thinks he sees that how we're good we're doing on the recruiting trail, which we have been, especially with high school recruits. And I think he's trying to play a little bit of that too, maybe.

SPEAKER_01

I would like a uh to a plea uh for whoever, whoever's mother and father that was that told Lane Kiffin that uh their grandparents said that they weren't gonna allow their uh child to live in Osha, Mississippi, come forward and and tell everyone and say it was me. Uh I was the one that that said it, uh, and he's he's telling the truth because I don't believe him. I absolutely do not believe him.

SPEAKER_00

Well, look, I'm not saying, like I told David this too earlier. I'm not saying that it didn't happen maybe like once or something.

SPEAKER_01

It wasn't like 50, it wasn't like 50 different players over the But also too, if you're involved at Old Miss and you're involved at the University of Mississippi and involved in Oxford that like you say you are, what you do is you defend the university and say, listen, I understand that. Uh that was a long time ago. Let me let me get you in here and show you what we're all about, like, you know, and and try to, you know, show these people how this place has changed. But just to say, oh, it was something that I couldn't do anything about, and and uh if that's really what it was, I don't believe it.

SPEAKER_00

But uh And also to hit he's acting like South Louisiana is a racial sensitivity, uh sensitivity hotbed, a bash. Sanctuary city. My I mean that my aching, that my aching, that's just that's agonizing, really.

SPEAKER_01

The Louisiana Tigers came from a Confederate battle unit. Look, we're not saying OMS has a don't have a you know kind of a nobody in this nobody in this part of the country, nobody in the whole United States, really. Zero, absolutely zero. But to use that to weaponize it for recruiting football players is ridiculous.

SPEAKER_00

It's absolutely after a place that revived his career.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah, absolutely.

SPEAKER_00

And gave him a chance.

SPEAKER_01

He was nothing but a fat. I'm not gonna I'm not gonna say what I was gonna say anyway.

SPEAKER_00

Anyway, I'm tired. I've had enough of talking about Lane. Moving on. I'm ready for the football season to be here before you know it. Steve Sarkeesian, you can suck it too. Oh yeah, Sark I mean that's also just That's some Bush League shit. What the hell? That's Blaine's been on the phone with Sark. Or no reason, no way Sark just comes out with that today, you know. Come on, man.

SPEAKER_01

And also, too, like that just came out of no one asked you that question. Nobody said, hey, what how do you feel about Ole Miss uh, you know Basket weaving? Classes, classes they give to players or stuff. Did somebody somebody softballed him that he just came out and said it. Basket weaving. Wonder how many more articles Lane's gonna do this week. No telling. No telling. It'll be uh calculated. It wasn't calculated. Thou doth protest too much. I don't know if you've read that.

SPEAKER_00

He said something too today, he took another shot. I mean, I don't know if you even saw this, but it was like something about he took a shot at our stadium, so yeah.

SPEAKER_01

He said at least it won't be as near as many people uh like it was in Tennessee throwing stuff at him.

SPEAKER_00

He looked, I'm I'm I'm imploring old Miss fans. I just did a podcast earlier, I did the same thing on this podcast. He wants you, he wants us to throw stuff at him, he wants it to be fights everywhere, he wants it to be a mob scene so he can go back and say, look, see I told you. I was told you I should have left. These people are awful. I should have left here. Do not do this. Just be nice on boo the hell out of him, and that's it be it.

SPEAKER_01

As my mother. Kill him with kindness unless unless somebody throws a punch first and you get to fight back. Absolutely. We've got a lot of time between now and then to start saving up some bail money.

SPEAKER_00

Also, the the the game time was announced today.

SPEAKER_01

6 30, yeah. 630 CD, yes. No, ABC. ABC. It was ABC. But uh Yeah, I put in my request off for that today. Uh, with all this Lane Kiffin talk, it's maybe think about wanting to buy a new house. You know where you can get a new house from? It's Drew Chapman with Patty Turk Properties. He T B. You can give him a call at 317-1331 for all your real estate needs. Uh, we thank Drew for being a partner here of the Top Shelf Grumbling Podcast. I'm about sick of talking about Lane, but he needs I'm glad he bought a new house.

SPEAKER_00

Me too. Look, I want him to I was on record, I wanted him to stay early.

SPEAKER_01

So uh his child is in public school in Baton Rouge, right? Oh, he's not. No, he's not. He can't leave the campus. He's at Uh, which costs $7,000 a year to go to, but it's not a private school.

SPEAKER_00

It's on it's on it's technically technically on the LSU's campus. Exactly. It's not private.

SPEAKER_01

It's just as long as you can afford $10,000 a year for on a school for your kid. I digress. Anyway, moving on. Uh next up, we're gonna talk a little bit about uh softball or baseball.

SPEAKER_00

We're gonna talk baseball, softball. Round ball. The um not that round ball. The ladies, the ladies, soft the softball team, uh they are playing in the Texas Tech uh regional this weekend. They got in as a two seed. They they started the season off, let's just call it terrible. The last probably month of the season, they kind of came on, ended up getting a two seed. They're playing Texas Tech, and uh Texas Tech spent a million dollars on the pitcher this year and women's softball, so they're gonna they're gonna be a tough out. We I think we play uh we were there with Boston and Marished us and Texas Tech. I think we played Boston Thursday or Friday. And look, I I I didn't really really watch softball because I started uh watching more and I got to covering the stuff a little bit. I love watching the softball. It's fast paced, it's like the games are over in two hours at most.

SPEAKER_01

I mean a lot of action for sure.

SPEAKER_00

A lot of freaking action. Uh but yeah, I'm re looking forward to watching them this weekend. And look, our problem has been the pitching. We only have three pitchers. But in a regional, super regional setting, you don't need very many pitchers. So I think we've gotta have a chance to do something. What uh how many innings are those games? A seven innings, okay. But uh yeah, good luck to the ladies. Let's talk a little baseball. We won what we won tonight.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, absolutely. Will Libert got a big win. That was uh shellacking. I think we were up nine to nothing in the second inning.

SPEAKER_00

When I turned it on when I had to go to Oxford, I turned it, well, I think it was 11 to 1 in like the third inning, fourth inning.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And ended up when it went 17 to 6.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I turned it off when it was 16 to 6 or 15 to 6 or something like that before I had to head out for the water.

SPEAKER_00

I was kind of worried we were gonna lose this thing, to be honest with you, but I wasn't worried we were gonna lose it.

SPEAKER_01

I just worried that we were gonna somebody's gonna get hurt or something was gonna happen. Something was gonna happen. Yeah, that just didn't need to happen.

SPEAKER_00

Judd, you to Mark broke the all-time home run record. Home run record, yeah. Kind of snuck up on him.

SPEAKER_01

I didn't realize he was getting close to breaking it and then shoot, I we were we talked about it weeks ago.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I mean weeks ago, but I didn't like it up against all. I didn't realize like coming into the season. I guess that's what I meant to say. Coming into the season, I didn't realize he even had a shot at it.

SPEAKER_01

I mean And uh Michael Katz reported too that he's one of the one of the only rebels with multiple 20-year I mean multiple 20 home runs. It's kind of surprising, really, that's some good the players we've had over the last or in our history because we got you know, we got some he took the home run record away from Kyle Gordon uh from 1987 was when that was set. What you call it was right in there too. Elko had 40s to see.

SPEAKER_00

Um But I think we got a big series coming up at Alabama this weekend. This is probably the best team Alabama's had in 20 years.

SPEAKER_01

I saw you can get a ticket for like five dollars.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, they don't really support the baseball over there.

SPEAKER_01

We talked about that other day too. We watched a series one there that weekend and there was nobody in the stands.

SPEAKER_00

Two out of three clinches us hosting. Oh, yeah. Um I also think if we win one and then a few at Hoover, I think we'd also do it. And winning one, period, also might do it. We finished 15 and 15. There's still a chance that we could backdoor one.

SPEAKER_01

They had a graphic up there on the uh game tonight of us being uh in Oregon, in Corvallis, Oregon State.

SPEAKER_00

They always seem to send us out west on stuff when whenever we're not the first, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Well, and you know, it's not the end of the season yet, it's just kind of what it would be like if it was today. Um But yeah, good win tonight.

SPEAKER_00

Good uh host or not. I still liked I've been saying this all year. I liked this team, a close-knit group of guys, veteran uh group. As a veteran of our group as you're gonna get in this day and age in the transfer portal.

SPEAKER_01

And you know, some guys that come on. Uh Owen Paino, you know, was has been really good. And Federico was was really, really bad at the beginning of the year and his own.

SPEAKER_00

And Austin Folly, too, has been got a few hits here and there that he wouldn't Now Bassett has kind of gone to a slump. That's gonna that's gonna slump's happened.

SPEAKER_01

I think that's all it is, is a slump. I think they've learned how to pitch to him and throw away. He wants to pull every single ball. You could even see it uh this weekend at Texas AM. They weren't they weren't throwing any anything down the middle or in to him whatsoever, which is a really good way to pitch him.

SPEAKER_00

Also, too, he's had to be like a slump goes. Also, I think it was Friday night or it was game one, I think. He had a couple Oppo shots. Yeah. Right to some people, you know. Like I said, you know how it is when a slump goes. Some are gonna fall. You're not gonna you can't get you a snake bet, but I think he'll come out of that hopefully soon. Um But I I just like this pitch in the staff, basically, to win like we we'll we'd be held in a super regional. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I mean Yeah, we and I mean tonight. I'm sitting there watching Will Libert, who's throwing 95 from the left-hand side. We're gonna need him to have some good some good innings these last few weeks. The next guy I'd never seen before, and he's throwing 94.

SPEAKER_00

That's crazy.

SPEAKER_01

And then the next guy came in, he was left, he was throwing, you know, 92 from the left-hand side. I mean, we got some arms. We got some folks who can I don't know if they can pitch, but they can throw hard. By the way, Pontop Warriors going to stay.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, absolutely. Keep your cap.

SPEAKER_01

Um big north half wind a couple days ago. Absolutely. Big shout out to Keo Danders, man. His his butt his kid's doing do damage. That's what they call it. Do damage. Uh Keo was a heck of a classmate back in the day. Absolutely. Show showing our age, but uh now these kids are going to state.

SPEAKER_00

His son's going to state. We're old. We are um.

SPEAKER_01

I think we are um. I don't know if any other uh has any other Pontac High School baseball gone to the state championship game since oh four? Uh I don't know, that's a good stat to check there.

SPEAKER_00

We got close. I think we did go. I think we have uh but we hadn't won it of course, but uh I'm pretty sure we did go a few years ago.

SPEAKER_01

Well, Big North half win.

SPEAKER_00

Big North Half win. I don't know who we play.

SPEAKER_01

I don't either. From the South? Yeah, I have no idea.

SPEAKER_00

Right, uh Wonderful Wide World of Golf segment.

SPEAKER_01

Way to lead that in. That was beautiful. Thanks. Next up, folks.

SPEAKER_00

The Ole Miss Women, after the after the first round of play, they were leading their original there in. Mary Miller's been a wagon all year. But today they didn't play good. That's how this team has been all they've been consistently ranked all year. Yeah. But to that's been their whole season. They'll have the lead to be in the lead. And then today they've just they failed six or seven spots. They're still in a good spot to advance. For whatever reason, this team all year long, it just they play really well and they don't play so well. I mean, that's and that's part of that's part of golf, but I mean it's also it's became a trend at this point. They're an inconsistent team.

SPEAKER_01

You gotta think too that like that you gotta kind of play not bad as a team, but you have multiple golfers out there contributing to your score, so if everybody doesn't play good, you're gonna you've plummeted.

SPEAKER_00

Um The men, they start their regional 18th, May the 18th, and the last of the 20th. Uh playing up at Winston Salem, I can't uh Bermuda Country Club, I think.

SPEAKER_01

Bermuda, something like that.

SPEAKER_00

Um we got in as a two seed, tenth regional in the past twelve years. But this team's got a chance to win it all even after losing their best uh best player in the middle of the season, defending national champion to the soon-to-be-defunct Live Golf League.

SPEAKER_01

How ironic.

SPEAKER_00

And I I said this a hundred I don't really blame him blame him for taking the bag and going. Yeah. But him giving up the master's spot as an amateur was almost unforgivable.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that right there, you just it's something you can't ever do again. No, you can't ever do that again.

SPEAKER_00

And very so very few people get to do it in the first place.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you get to go stay in the crow's nest and you get to the history, and that's what I hope we don't lose. And you know, people talk about golf this and live golf and PJ tour, but like that that stuff's just history. I I guess I'm a history buff as well, too. I really enjoy history. So you know, when you when you get a chance to you know to do something historically that you won't ever get to do and a lot not a lot of people get to do, I think it's Bush league to to you know, give that up, even if it's ten million dollars. I know that's a whole different story. If somebody put ten million dollars in front of me, I don't know. That's what I heard. But either way, uh even if it was five million dollars or whatever, it'd have to be something it had to be something big to give up your senior. Hope you got the money up front. Yeah, really. Hope you did too. Hope the checks ain't bouncing.

SPEAKER_00

Um But yeah, looking forward to watching the man. Yeah. So oh also, we got the PGA championship this weekend. I think I saw the co I f I first saw this, the course is 7,400 yards. I thought, man, that's long, and then I saw where that's the shortest one it's been in like seven years or something. Aronymic. We said it a while ago. Aronomic country club right outside of Philadelphia.

SPEAKER_02

In Pennsylvania, it's gonna be beautiful.

SPEAKER_00

Old golf course. Have you seen the course yet? Oh, yeah, I mean. They had had a major there, they've had uh PGA tour tournaments there on and off for years. The 62 PGA was there and uh Gary Player won. I don't know if it was uh still a match play event then or not. I've seen talk where they are talking about bringing it back a match play event.

SPEAKER_01

I'm fine I mean I'm I miss the World Golf Championship match play a lot. That was a great format. I was gonna say I I really like watching uh these courses that they play uh sometimes for normal events and seeing how the PGA sets it up for a PGA championship. So they how much it changes, how you know, lengthen the rough, are they gonna make the greens faster or uh you know, mow the fairways or or whatever the the case may be, but they usually change it up from a regular PGA tour stop you know to a PGA championship.

SPEAKER_00

Golf for years, hundreds and hundreds of years, m match play was a big part of like golf and stuff. And they've kind of gone away from it, and I feel like that's part like talking about being a history, but I feel like the game of golf needs some match play events. It's a it's a part of the game. It's a well and match plays a whole different if you ever played golf, and match match plays like a whole different like mindset.

SPEAKER_01

Absolutely. It it made Kevin Kisner a whole bunch of money, and he was not a great tournament player every single time, but he won a bunch of match play tournaments because that's how he played golf. He was kind of intimidating. He liked the I'm against you as well as against the course, you know, and it it it brought some fire. That's why we love the Ryder Cup and the President's Cup. We like those because we like to see people kind of you know going against each other, and you know, when you you make a a birdie putt in some in front of somebody's face and you're not supposed to make it, and they got a short one, you know, and it's it's it you know it'll get you going. But yeah, no, I miss some some matchplay as well too. The PGA's gonna be fun. I saw them uh practicing today. Um just showing a little practice round, not practice around, but on the uh on the range. Cameron Young was out there and a couple other ones. That's a that's a heck of a golfer.

SPEAKER_00

I'm ready to watch this weekend. I think it's gonna be a spectacular weekend of golf. I don't know. I mean, I got a feeling Bryson plays good this weekend. Uh Scotty, I think he's won two PGAs in a row, if I'm not mistaken.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Um I mean, if uh Scotty's he kind of is kind of middle in the first round or two, and then turns it on. Saturday and Sunday, who can just play halfway Thursday and Friday?

SPEAKER_01

He'll I think this golf course sets up for Scotty really well. Um Cam Young, he's um if you hit the ball high, this is gonna be a really, really good thing.

SPEAKER_00

I think well, kind of a long shot, Shane Lowry. Also, Kepka, eventually he's gonna. I think he's getting close to playing some good golf.

SPEAKER_01

I think Kepka is shooting he was like 10 or 11 under at the um uh the alternate event they had last week in Murray. Oh, yeah, that's right. I forgot about that. He he played really well uh there. Shout out to uh Brent Sneddeker. Yeah, Brent Snedeker for winning that. That was a blast blast from the past with Brent Snedeker. Somebody shared a video of him just kind of casually talking about his his little pop putting stroke he has. And he was doing an instructional video and he just like randomly made like four of these 25-foot putts.

SPEAKER_00

Just he don't really, he just gets up there and like feels it and puts.

SPEAKER_01

He cre creeps up behind it. But um Who else, any any else, your favorites this weekend?

SPEAKER_00

I'm gonna post some bets and stuff uh on the uh Twitter and Facebook and do some fan do lineups and stuff. I'll post those too. But I got a few more. I need to watch Brandle and dumbass Paul McGinley a little bit, a couple more nights, another night or two. I guess I guess I got two more nights. So I'm going there and watch a little bit tonight and a little bit tomorrow, and then I'm gonna make some picks.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I'm so sick of them talking about live too. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

God is getting and there's just so many different directions you can go with that. I mean, they took their funding away from them, but they're gonna try to say, oh, we can we can find enough money to I don't believe they're gonna be able to find enough money. I don't think so either. Not with not not the money they're gonna need to somebody said, what do you mean you can't watch you can't watch live golf? It was on Fox Business the other day. And somebody's like, Really? It's on the Fox Business Channel is where you're finding the golf. It's been on it's been on some Fox and stuff, but I mean But somebody said, Oh, uh I turned it on looking for live golf, and on Fox they had like uh warm-up laps of some Grand Prix race or something like that. Instead of, yeah, some qualifying laps instead of live golf. So I'm just not a fan.

SPEAKER_00

Look, the the PGA wasn't perfect by any means either. You know, they needed to make some changes, but I don't like the shorts. I know I don't like players wearing shorts. No. We talked about this the other day. It's like that time Dan Mullen wore shorts against South Alabama and he got beat. Like he was in a spring game or something.

SPEAKER_01

You look Bush League wearing the shorts. I mean, come on, man. We need to bring back the uh the gigantic Tiger Woods pants from back in the 90s. Yeah, pleat Maulbond's got some of those for uh for Jason Day. I mean, he's been playing some good golf too. That's one.

SPEAKER_00

It'll be a good course for him this weekend, too. I can see that.

SPEAKER_01

You could you could uh say maybe he'd be a dark horse as well, too. Well, what else we got? Go over to Omis365. Absolutely. Ole Miss365.com.

SPEAKER_00

And the message board has been popping off here lately. Like, I mean, I'm like blown away. Imagine that. Finally.

SPEAKER_01

Imagine that. There's some stuff to talk about.

SPEAKER_00

Well, it f it was starting to pop, it was starting to pop up a little bit the last week or so before the kiffing stuff now. It's like it's like an actual message board going on over there.

SPEAKER_01

The new uh the new newly minted old Miss fans that were created in the past 24 hours as well, too. A lot of people are like, State fans. Like, man, but state ones when I see state fans on Twitter saying, hey now, uh, you don't we we can talk about our brother like that, but you can't.

SPEAKER_02

Exactly, exactly.

SPEAKER_01

You can't talk about our whole state like that. I mean, you're basically uh I mean you're including Mississippi when you say that.

SPEAKER_00

Lane kiffin'.

SPEAKER_01

Alright, we got anything else? That's it. Fat kiffin' only. Fat kiffin' only.

SPEAKER_00
