SPEAKER_02I'm sick of Nick Saban. I've had enough of him. Well, my I've had mainly I've had enough of mainly Bama fans. Oh, let's make him the commissioner of college football and put in there acting like it's some like universal like 95% of people are wanting clamoring for this when like literally nobody is other than damn delusional Bama fans. Uh I mean he going all the way back to okay when uh Kiffin was talking about leaving, Saban said, well, in some like off-cuff interview, like, well, if you got if if if they already given you everything you want, basically, you know, why would you leave? And then all of a sudden he does a complete 180 and like, well, he should be able to coach in the playoff. Like Okay, and I'll say this, and a lot of has some pushback on this from Ole Miss fans. I mean, I've LSU is a better job. It's easier to win there, it's also easier to get fired there. But um letting him making an argument that he should have been able to coach in the playoff is just a bridge too far. It's like delusional.
SPEAKER_03I would say anybody can make that argument from the outside of where that situation was. Every single person who's outside the situation would say, Oh yeah, let him play, let him play. Your team, nobody's letting him play. Like it's just I mean coach, I'm sorry, but uh yeah, no, that's uh that's a bridge too far, correct.
SPEAKER_02And they you know they tried to play, well the players voted, which that was uh proven to be that never happened. That was false. Um but anyway, going back to that, like Saban's just been on my been just like I don't know, on my nerves. Like he's on college game day now. And although, like I said, get a bunch of those game day talking set up there and made a case for Lane to be able to coach in the playoff. Um all represented by the same people. All represented by CAA, whatever it is, Jimmy Sexton, who knows where all the bodies are buried and pretty much can make anybody that's ever worked for him do what he wants them to or else. Jimmy Hoffa. He knows what Jimmy Hoffa is. He maybe he's under MetLife Stadium. Um but just Saban quit, and then at the time what it he was he was didn't he was not planning on retiring. No. And then they had a few like top players that he thought they had agreed to contracts with, came back, was like, eh, you know what, we need a little more money. He just kind of threw his hands up and quit. Yeah. Um it's just insane. Like does he does he think how dumb does he think everybody is? Like we Saban and them the only ones for years that can cheat, cheat, cheat, and get away with. I don't know how they got away with it. I don't know why the NCAA always the NCAA always let them skate.
SPEAKER_03But um Well, you know, they have a saying uh in in government as well that you know absolute power corrupts absolutely. Uh at some point in time, you know, Nick Saban, uh Tiger Woods, Phil Nicholson. I'm not saying that's all, you know, I'm not saying that uh that he's had any any off-the-hill issues like that, but when you start believing your own your own height, reading your own press clippings, reading your own press clippings and seeing yourself on game day and your you know and your nicely just remended hair. Uh nicely fresh hair dye gel that looks terrible, by the way. It looks like it was running off the side of your face onto your maroon jacket there a couple times.
SPEAKER_02Uh, but no, kind of kind of schmelted together.
SPEAKER_03It's one of those hot early season games. Uh my take on this too is is that uh for far too long, everyone, you know, and it's so funny. Like when it first when he first came out, man, breath of fresh air, you know, was talking kind of like you know what a rational you know coach would say.
SPEAKER_02Oh now he's like a now he's got a little talking point.
SPEAKER_03Oh man, you can tell somebody's absolutely greasing the heck out of those pockets. I mean, he was getting paid $500,000 a year by Alabama, but he was trying to give Lane Kiffin advice where to go. Yeah with LSU and all this stuff, man. It's just he's got so many, you know, uh contradictions and uh and and stuff going on in his world that's gonna be.
SPEAKER_02And don't forget this guy has lied like hell, which all these coaches lie. Literally every coach lies, but yeah. I mean he sat right up here for months, basically, whenever he was still the coach of the Dolphins. I will not take the Alabama job, like vehemently, I will not be the next coach of Alabama. And then about three days later, you know, there he was. Um but just like he subpoenaed a Congress or whatever you want to call it, a big huge 200 and something page letter basically wanting to get rid of NIL. Um staying to go back to the old way, basically when only what four the four or five of the same teams every year had a chance to win it.
SPEAKER_03Well, and they were they were able to pay players without anybody knowing about it. See, everybody's like it was so cheap, and it was cheap back then too. It was a Dodge Charger and a couple hundred dollar handshakes at the strip. I was talking to somebody today. It was got real expensive. That's what got mad about him. He's like, man, that's this isn't make any sense. No, it don't.
SPEAKER_02I was talking to some guy today. He used to be a bag man kind of back in the day for old Miss. He was like, We take back in the 90s, we take $20,000 over there, and they'd be like You could you could get 10 players or $20,000. They were like jumping up down their desk, you know. Now you know you'd insult somebody with $20,000.
SPEAKER_03$20,000? What the hell is this? You know? Remember when uh when uh Cameron uh Cam Newton was supposed to have gotten like $87,000 or something like that from Mississippi State, like that was the number was some random eighty-seven grand. Like I don't think.
SPEAKER_02Well what happened on that deal was uh Cam Newton's daddy had his hand out. He took a hundred and something thousand from state and said, all right, we're coming here. They turned around and took a hundred and something thousand from Auburn and went with Auburn.
SPEAKER_03And then you couldn't say anything and say, Well, he doesn't. Hey man, somebody stole my drugs. You know, you can't.
SPEAKER_02That was the guy, I'm gonna forget the kid the booster's name was Kenny Rogers for State.
SPEAKER_03You gotta be kidding me.
SPEAKER_02And he like he did, he's like, man, F this. Like they took my damn money and gone to Auburn. Kenny Rogers sink that sink that ship.
SPEAKER_03Um The gamblers had absolutely not.
SPEAKER_02But counting back to Saban, like, look, for some reason the NCAA let a hand few select teams, programs, buy players. Yeah. Uh now this even play in the field. Anybody can buy players. It's literally so even. Alabama's like uh 14th right now in the recruiting room.
SPEAKER_03Well, and Nick Saban knew how feckless the NCAA was before all this was going on, so the NCAA would go for low-hanging fruit at all times. That was they would go for layups because they knew they could win that and it was good for press clippings for them. So we hammered so-and-so. They would never go after Alabama and hammer Alabama for anything. It was bad for their their pocketbook.
SPEAKER_02I mean they got ha they did hammer Obama one time back in the 90s. Yeah, but that was Natron May or something Albert Maines, I can't remember. He had the guy ended up the kid ended ended up signing with Memphis. Yeah. And what it was, one of the coaches went and paid uh his uncle or something $200,000 for a uh for a highlight tape. Here's your highlight tape. You're $200,000. And it went and it went across state lines for the in that somehow the FBI got involved. So that's the only reason they ever got hammered that time is because, like, well, the FBI is already involved. We've got to do something.
SPEAKER_03Sorry, yeah.
SPEAKER_02But you know, but say that he he he he wrote Congress, he went and testified. I wonder how much he got paid to do that. There's some lobbyists. Went and paid, went, went and went, went and got paid by whoever, some lobbyist, went and lobbied uh to Congress about uh NIL and how this dangers and all. Look, and don't get me wrong, it's there needs to be guardrails put up. It is a wild, wild west, but Nick Saber needs to be as far away from college sports as humanly possible. We need like a governing body that's not corrupt that everybody can agree on, which is what the NCAA was supposed to be years and years and years ago.
SPEAKER_03But it's it's almost impossible to get impartial people these days. I mean, to be uh to be honest, it's really hard to find an an impartial people. But anybody would be better than Nick Saban being the you know the dictator of college football, which I I don't think that would ever fly anyway. But he um but to try to regress everything back I mean listen the you know It's not gonna happen first of all if you open Pandora's box. You can only you can only shut it so so tightly with you ever amount of money you're paying these folks. But you know, the market everybody always says, oh, the market will correct, the market will correct. It's like, well, not when you have these these schools that are going in debt. I mean, you see a lot of folks.
SPEAKER_02Even Keith Carter said, look, what we're doing here is not sustainable. We're like 20. We're going well 20% higher uh salaries just like two years ago. Yeah. I mean, we can't keep going. Uh sooner or later they're gonna be it's gonna be a damn billion dollars.
SPEAKER_03You're 200 million to pay your coaches, you gotta still have you know all the other buff, everything. All the money that comes with, you know the arm or the facilities and yeah. I mean, you don't think all those fireworks and drones and all that stuff cost a lot of money too? Like they're gonna be able to do that. And turn the keeping the lights on. Yeah, oh it's it's a lot of it's a big business. And you saw a lot of it when these uh these PL numbers came out for all these schools and they were all, you know, in the red. I mean, you gotta you gotta figure out how to how to you know make some money, even though it's uh running into deficit is like the thing to do these days, but uh it's not sustainable at this at this juncture.
SPEAKER_02But another thing about saving too, I want to say this before I forget about it. This is also the same guy who when he went in front of Congress took two uh cheap shots at Ole Miss.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely.
SPEAKER_02Like that, you know, somebody who told him to do that? You know he didn't just do that. No, took a shot, he took a shot at uh Ferrell. Well they had a they had a kid on campus. Oh Miss just went and got it like we went up what held him at gunpoint, might even leave whether it's oh you're our linebacker now. Here's we got you behind the gun here, get your ass in the bus.
SPEAKER_03I mean That's what he acted like. And do you think that Nick Saban didn't uh didn't take their raises when he when Alabama gave them to him? And and he called out Trinidad. He had a clause. He had a clause, and any time that anybody made more money than him, he had to be he had to be the highest paid coach. Are you kidding me? Like this is just the the call is coming from inside the room, you know. Get out of the house! Get out of the dang house.
SPEAKER_02It's him, it's uh and he said he took a took a another one he took a shot at us over about uh Luke Ferrelly leaving Clemson and then sounded at Chambles. Who would never sign anything other than maybe like f financial aid. And you notice Dabo's has like walked his stuff back like so much. I mean Oh yeah. And then made it seem like Trinidad Chambles was 46 years old. Yeah, he made it out and and and always got a quarterback that got a just got an injunction of her sort of twelfth year made it out to be. And look, the bill, the actual bill that he was up there lobbying for, Trinidad Chambless would be eligible under said bill that he's lobbying actually lobbying for. It looks like an asshat.
SPEAKER_03That's everything you need to know right there.
SPEAKER_02I mean, it just him it's it's truly agonizing. And you got uh Urban Meyer too, acting like there's some like holier than that. Like I mean, it's it's laughable.
SPEAKER_03I mean it really is.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, uh 23-year-old uh you're a 60-year-old man. I mean Internet's forever. I've done crinkled up my damn piece of paper over here, and I got so grumbled.
SPEAKER_03Grumbled over here.
SPEAKER_02Go to hell, Nick Saban, and change your hair dye. Miss Terry needs to hire a new hairdresser or something. Great, uh, great top shelf grumbling segment back to back of the rates. Good summer, good summer. Summer grumble. Summer and grumble. Look, this is football season. We're we're full-fledged football. Go to Omez 365.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, check it out.
SPEAKER_02We got recruits coming in left and right. And by the way, that look, this recruiting style, we we have gotten 14 blue chips. Well, two or three players in the last week that Alabama legitimately wanted that they didn't get. And anytime you do that.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. By the way, Alabama's like 15th out of 16th in recruiting.
SPEAKER_02I said something about that earlier I thought, but I mean it's just and they're trying to they're trying to say stuff like, well, we're our money's tied up, and now it's like, well, you got six three stars committed to you. Tie something else up, for God's sake. Listen, that you're you know, this is Nick Saban. And I already did change everything.
SPEAKER_03We talked about this last time on the same pot. I mean, Nick Saban, this is how he drew it up. He you don't want to be the guy after Nick Saban, you'll be the guy after the guy. And Nicky set it up where I think Calen DeBore is just not gonna, he's not gonna flourish. He's the one eight and four.
SPEAKER_02He's gonna be at uh he'll be at bowling green before it's over with. No, I think I think he's a real good cut. I mean he took he's taken he took Washington to the uh CFP twice. I mean, he's gonna be at somewhere like hell, Washington. He might go back to Washington again. You can't I bet I guess one of those things, grass is not always green. Don't you know he's just kicking us up in the ass? Probably so. Why'd I leave Seattle Washington?
SPEAKER_03Pacific Northwest, you know, it's rain up there, temporary climate.
SPEAKER_02At the most, you know.
SPEAKER_03It's not baking your players on out on the out on the field in practice.
SPEAKER_02The fans, the fan, uh, you got good fan support. They're not like rabid. They're gonna come after you if you go eight and four one year.
SPEAKER_03Is there a is there a Washington message board? There probably isn't. Oh, I'm sure there is. I'm just playing. There might not be. Probably not be, not to the extent of uh of Roll Tide Mag or whatever it is. There's like four in Alabama. It's like Bama, Bama Online. Bama Mag. No, Bama Mag is what it is. Bama Online, Bama Mag.
SPEAKER_02Bama O Line was the first one because it was like, oh my god, they're online, Bama Online. Online, America Online.
SPEAKER_031996.
SPEAKER_02Remember the old old mess when it was called like the scuttle butt or something? You remember that?
SPEAKER_03No, I don't.
SPEAKER_02It was like the very early stage of the spirit board being on uh on online. It was called the scuttle butt something. It was like, oh, you get on there and just like it was like a it was like a thread basically, and like it was like one long thread. You can say something about what you had for supper, and then down here it might be like, well, what do you think about old so-and-so from Loosdale committing to us, you know, it's just like a one never-ending back in the day. Back in the day. Um, but go to hell, Nick say, but I'm love I love the uh look, every person that's not a fan of Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, LSU, Texas, eight or ten schools. Every you know, you you can think in your mind who those eight or ten schools are, but everybody in the country besides those few schools are loving the parody. Yes, we all agree we need some guide guide rails, guidelines, whatever you want to call it. Guardrails or guidelines. Whatever, yes. Guide guide rails. And um We gotta, you know, kind of shore some of that stuff up, but we're not going back to No, no. We're not going back. There's no going back. Anyway. This is also the same son of a b that went and lobbied the NCAA to get rid of the hurry up no hull offenses. Yeah. Sighting citing player safety and then got laughed out of the room. He had Bert Belaman for all people, all people from for some reason on his side, up there backing him up.
SPEAKER_03He probably greased his pockets too. Greased his palms.
SPEAKER_02Go to hell, Nick Save.
SPEAKER_03Anyway, moving on. Our sayings are bad tonight. Anyway. Alright, uh this segment we started last week. We're gonna go over four teams from the SEC. We're gonna break them down. Uh a little short, no, just kind of a record and uh, you know, talking a little bit about it. A few notes here and there. A few notes here and there, nothing crazy, but uh just to get us into the football, you know, mindset here uh coming up. It's not not far away, not far away. You know the kids go back to school the 31st of July.
SPEAKER_02That's so embarrassing. They're going to school in July now. I just, man.
SPEAKER_03I got I'm gonna hold my thoughts on that. They'll be out for three different weeks before uh Christmas, though, you know.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they do get now. I will say this, they do give them more like in season, I'll guess you'd say, holidays. Now you get what, two or three weeks for Christmas, a week, a week for Thanksgiving, you get a week fall break.
SPEAKER_03I heard somewhere somebody talked about uh when you were young, you just we don't really love summer. We just love it because we got out of school for three months, basically. And but it's really it's just hot and miserable, and but we just love it because uh they like plant it that way, so you would you wouldn't enjoy it.
SPEAKER_02I love summer, but man, I get I get tired of the hotness and the heat and all the grass growing. All the damn grass growing.
SPEAKER_03Anyway, moving on to our first team, we're gonna talk about uh Texas AM.
SPEAKER_02Texas AM uh Mike Elko. Mike Elko, which I think's a ball coach. He wanted you, he just seemed like he wants to be left alone and coach football. By the way, I saw the other day, he's only like 44 years old. He looks like he's 65.
SPEAKER_03No way he's only six years older than me. There's zero chance. I mean, I swear he looks you know, he like I say, he looks like he's 65 years old. If me and Mike Elko are walking down the aisle at Walmart, you think he's my dad. I'm sorry. Granddad, we got to. It's all that he's just he's just you know burning the midnight oil with those X's and O's.
SPEAKER_02One at Duke.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um went to the college football playoff last year, kind of under the radar. Absolutely.
SPEAKER_03Um developed Marcel Reid pretty well.
SPEAKER_02The jury's still out on that. We'll see this year. He did improve throughout the season for sure. Huge upside. Yeah. They got a pretty tough schedule here, but I don't know, something was telling me that they're gonna they're gonna be pretty good.
SPEAKER_03I'm going with 10 and 2 for the AM Aggies this year. 10 and 2. I think if if their offensive line improves as well, too. It seemed like Marcel was running for his line a few times last year. Yeah, some of that may have been him just like free balling it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Oh shit, I'm leaving, you know. Freelancing. Free balling it. What's going on tonight?
SPEAKER_03Loose, loose lips on the pod tonight.
SPEAKER_02Um go to hell, Nick Saban, if I hadn't well, if you uh missed a front of it. Um if you're just now joining us. And go to Ole Miss 365. It's uh recruiting season and football's amping up and our football coverage this year is uh stay tuned, it's gonna be awesome. But anyway, moving along, Arkansas. The Hogs. Ryan Silverfield. Are you high on the Hogs? No. No, not at all. Um Arkansas got it was like a bad they should have.
SPEAKER_03They were the last person at the Sadie Hawkins dance that got picked. I mean To be honest with you.
SPEAKER_02They should have somehow figured out a way to keep Sam Pittman one more year. This was like the worst year they to be trying to find a coach.
SPEAKER_03They got picked every their I think this is Ryan Silverfield was their like sixth or seventh choice.
SPEAKER_02I thought they had the one the guy that went to Auburn Goldie. Even some places up there like announced, hey, we're we announced it on this pod.
SPEAKER_03I I loved it. That's right, I forgot. We saw it come across the wire mid-pod and called it on the pod, and then woke up the next morning and we were like, never mind that, didn't we? Never mind. Never materialized. We get the same info as you guys get, to be honest with you.
SPEAKER_02But um look, listen to a lot of Memphis radio, and look, the Memphis, the the Tiger fans were happy. Excited that he was gonna like thank God this guy's gone. He won like eight, nine. I think he had a 10 win season in there, but they Memphis has a bunch of corporate dollars dollars with FedEx. And they they uh they spit they spend more money than either than any other uh non group of five, whatever you say, team. So they're gonna spend all this money and we're not group of four or whatever it is. Yeah, whatever it is. So that he's n and he might he's he has a chance to be a good coach, I still believe. He he they say he's a good recruiter.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_03That's how he got to where he's at, but Ark Arkansas to me is a big culture place though, too. Like you gotta fit there well, and I don't see I don't know.
SPEAKER_02He's just they they they were going in and getting all these kids out of Texas and because they were in SEC. Yeah. Now there's two SE. Schools in that state. Yeah. And that's kind of cut that pipeline out. They still get some players out of Texas, but.
SPEAKER_03Well, and they do have the ability too. They they are the only you know SEC school or big school in Arkansas. So they can get Arkansas.
SPEAKER_02They don't have that much of Arkansas. They don't have that much talent.
SPEAKER_03Too hilly over there.
SPEAKER_02I don't know what it is, but uh There's a lot of Arkansas football talent, that's for sure. They're gonna They gotta figure they they're getting some of the Walmart money, but they hadn't like really just been like, hey, here's a blank check whatever you want. Well there's more to it than that too, but I d I'm going five and seven for them this year, and that's kinda on the high end. Yeah. I don't I don't like their fans, they're assholes. Heard that. Uh moving along, moving along. Go hulk. Go hulk. Cracking. Put my mashed potatoes. Hell yeah. Uh Heipel, uh moving with Tennessee here.
SPEAKER_03Moving on, moving on. Tennessee volunteers.
SPEAKER_02Josh Heipel, who's a good coach in my opinion. Better than what he gets credit for.
SPEAKER_03Looks like an insurance salesman.
SPEAKER_02Really good, really good offensive coaches. Defense, the past few years have just been atrocious, basically. They hired all new defensive coaches, so I'm gonna say the defense is gonna be much improved.
SPEAKER_01Let her be.
SPEAKER_02Um this is a big year for him. If he were to go eight and four, uh they may be firing his ass. Yeah. But um But who do you go for? I mean, like, that's one of those things. I mean, look, Tennessee's got to go for. Tennessee does. They got a bunch of money, they got the stadium, they got all they got everything you need to win big. It's just somebody's gotta lose these damn games. Everybody's not gonna go ten and two every year.
SPEAKER_03You know, that the big stadium is no longer uh longer what it was.
SPEAKER_02Um I'm picking them. I I think like I said, I I'm thinking I'm thinking their D is gonna be way better. I'm picking them to go ten and two this year. They got kind of a more of a favorite, a little more favorable schedule.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Than uh play. I'm saying what the the the nine SEC games is is gonna I think gonna change a lot of a a lot more than we think. Having that extra game is gonna take a lot out of that. Oh, yeah. I don't understand why why it was money at the time. You know, I mean, it was absolutely money at the time.
SPEAKER_02Well, we got one more team, and this is the eighth team on our list of 16 that we're gonna be doing this uh during the summer. Yeah. LSU, I'm random, I'm randomly drawing these teams out, too, by the way.
SPEAKER_03Louisiana State Tigers.
SPEAKER_02And I want to say this before I get started on this. I think Lane is gonna win big at LSU if he can stay up his own way. That's kind of a big if, but they will eat his ass alive down there the first time he I can't believe they must have got on his ass.
SPEAKER_03His man has not tweeted and no, they must have to down just shut it down. Can you not believe he's oh he'll he'll come out reborn and and you know and feeling refreshed and as ever and all that stuff. Their biggest question is Sam Levitt. Um, you know, is he gonna be what is advertised? Uh he's not healthy, he's got a foot or something injury. And is he only propped up by Cam Scadabow's amazing ability for one season?
SPEAKER_02Well, I've watched him play a bunch of football. I watch a lot of football, and he He's pretty good, but he's not worth what they paid him. They could have got somebody way better off of it.
SPEAKER_03Well, and everybody says that that, okay, all right, if he had an LSU offensive line and LSU receivers, and you know, everybody projects these people.
SPEAKER_02He's also gonna have SEC defenses run down his ass.
SPEAKER_03That's what I'm saying, is everyone looks at the oh, if you only if he only had this, if he only had that, but they don't go, well, if he only wasn't playing against inferior defenses as well, too, which he's gonna take these new players and still have to play against the.
SPEAKER_02I said, I'm not saying he's a bad quarterback.
SPEAKER_03I'm just saying Yeah, they've got questions for sure.
SPEAKER_02And he you know, Lane's already kind of been trying to temper expectations. Well, I don't know about this year, we might not be that and they're yeah.
SPEAKER_03The Rumblings always did their defense looked terrible in the spring and early part of all that, so you know, you think uh you think Blake Baker may be kicking himself a little bit by not taking the two-lane job?
SPEAKER_02Somebody said that they had they strong armed his ass. Yeah. Or strong strong armed two lane into saying we don't want you anymore.
SPEAKER_03Look somewhere else.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, go don't hire him. I wonder how much that cost.
SPEAKER_03Probably a couple children's hospitals.
SPEAKER_02Probably so.
SPEAKER_03Anyway.
SPEAKER_02Those lovable scams down the bay are at it again, you know.
SPEAKER_03We really love our LSU Tigers. Although I'm a big fan, I watched that uh that YouTube golf uh thing. John Peterson, what a what a watch. Good guy. Okay, I'll check it out. Former LSU player he played with Smiley Kaufman and them down at LSU and uh great watch. Uh very, very interesting stuff. And and it kind of he's 37, so it's fun to watch someone who's closer to your age out there playing the YouTube because he sounded like us playing golf instead of the kid, the kids. I say the kids out there. He wasn't like, oh my god, every shot, dude-da-da-da. And he was like, ah, well, hadn't woken up this morning on that one. It's absolutely hits a rope hook. But anyway, good LSU uh person. That's a rarity. Rarity in this, you know. Rare these days. Also, smell like often's a good LSU guy. Absolutely. Yeah. We get to our wide world of golf suit situation, we'll talk about that. But anyway, back to LSU football. Um, they got some some pieces from us that uh at least one of them I think is gonna be a downgrade and probably won't play as much uh in in the linebacker. Um his name escapes me now, but uh TJ D'Harty. TJ De Tottery, or whatever it was, because he changed his name because he was taking pictures of his buddies in the locker room in Clemson. Oh, I thought it was high school or something like that. Oh yeah. It was Clemson. Anyway.
SPEAKER_02Very weird, weird situation there.
SPEAKER_03And then Prince Well uh can't stop the run, I'm on yelling.
SPEAKER_02I only want I I'm sad about I well, I I wanted to keep Prince Well too, because I think he's got he's got a huge upside, but uh I wanted to keep the O line one as well. I can't remember. He's from Louisiana. Uh Devin Harper. He said he was hot homesick. Yeah, Devin Harper.
SPEAKER_03He left, but uh he was a good a good prospect for sure. You know, I mean but Wow, but they just rated us, you know.
SPEAKER_02According to like the Well, according to like a couple like disingenuous LSU uh people, I'm gonna try to expand I almost said some ugly words. They know damn well they didn't rate us. They they they thought they were gonna get Trinidad and Lacey and hell, whoever they wanted, and they got Oh, you got Winnie Watkins too. Winnie Walters they they got literally they got what three three players and two of them you would say we we wanted maybe.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah. That's fine. That's okay. You wanna go, you wanna go.
SPEAKER_02We upgraded on one. Yeah. And Mr. Luke Ferrelli. Friend of the friend of the OMS 365, by the way.
SPEAKER_03That was fun. And they had a P eight pizza. And eight pizza, yeah, absolutely.
SPEAKER_02And Keop Keaton Thomas won that. I think it all went to his biceps, but I'm not sure. But no, back on LSU, look, I think Lane's gonna win there if he can stay out of his way. They don't just eat him alive. He's one of the best quarterback coach coaches slash play callers. When he is not coaching recklessly and coaching like he knows he should, yeah. He's the one of the best play callers, if not the best play caller in the country.
SPEAKER_03I think there's also a little bit about uh about him when he coaches, he doesn't really like the he doesn't really have a lot of pressure on him because I don't think he has the capacity really to like feel the pressure as much. Um he's gonna feel it down there. Yeah, so I'm just saying is that I was like, I'm curious to see how how he's gonna deal with it, you know, down there. And when he takes a bad loss, it ain't gonna be the same as it was up here. Or you know, can he rebound? And like I said, I think he's gonna win a lot of ball games.
SPEAKER_02Oh, so you know how he's tweeting. So you're saying after he loses to Florida, he's not gonna tweet a picture of an alligator like you. Yeah, but right. I may go to Florida. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Or was it right before the game? I think it was right yeah, it was right before the game. Yeah. An alligator. And we lost. And we lost, yeah. Looked terrible. Absolutely terrible. Absolutely terrible. So what you what you got LSU going? What's your record?
SPEAKER_02Like I said, I'm on record. I think Lane's gonna win a big, but this year, I'm going eight and four. I just don't I just don't think they got that good of a team this year.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Their schedule's not um super easy either, too, so no. I mean not anybody is, but you know.
SPEAKER_02To me, nobody like everybody's kind of talking about uh our game with them for like for LSU. I'm I'm the they but they got clips in the first ball game. Yeah. And I mean they should win that game, but if they it's that it's that LSU.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I think Dabo might be uh mad. Oh, he's definitely mad. And you know what? If you can't take it out on Ole Miss, might as well take it out on LSU right now.
SPEAKER_02Take it out on LSU, next best thing. Of course we better be ready for Ole Miss better be ready for Louisville as well.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that's very true. Very true. I saw where uh the seats aren't really selling like they're they thought they would uh for that opening game. It's just and we're gonna get we're we'll be we'll be in Nashville twice in four weeks because we've got to be. Absolutely, it's gonna be hot.
SPEAKER_02I was thinking of the night. I can't believe the way the w with the way TVs and the stuff are and all that and that I I really can't believe that as many people still go to the games as go to the games.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Well, and it's it's inexperience and uh you know people love it.
SPEAKER_02Well they're pricing everybody out, too.
SPEAKER_03I mean, my God. Well they're trying they know there's people who are gonna pay that money to to even go or just to buy the ticket. They don't even go. Yeah. I mean that's that's the thing, is that they go by tickets sold, not by you know, butts and deceits.
SPEAKER_02That's all I've got tonight on on what we're gonna call this segment, the SEC football roundup segment with Yeah.
SPEAKER_03That's a great name. I'll take that.
SPEAKER_02Which we've got, like I said, we've we've done four teams last week. We did four tonight, so we still got how many left? Twelve, eight left.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. We got four and four and four, the four and four, sixteen. Anyway. Are you sure? Are you sure? Well, thank you guys for the first time.
SPEAKER_02Well, let's talk about what about wonder w with the wonderful wide world of golf. We really don't have anything really this week. The Scottish opens this week.
SPEAKER_03Scottish opens this week. Everybody's qualified qualifying for the open. The British will be next week. We talked about the you know, the YouTube golf tour thing now that he missed a little bit. That was kind of cool. I mean, like I said, uh, you know, we don't watch a whole lot of that, but um, I I've tuned in just because there were some interesting characters and they had some wild cards. They had Michael Block on there. And they it was kind of weird though, because they like they said something they recorded him being mad at the end of it because he lost, and he was just like, man, shut up here for nine holes, and like he was like grumbling real bad. And then they then they apologized like the next day. Sorry for Michael Block. So I was like, wait a minute. It's like no, no, no. You this is you know, don't do that. Like you caught the content, that's what it is, like that's what it's for. Michael Block should be the one that said if he's not mad, you don't say anything, or if you don't want anybody to hear anything, don't say anything.
SPEAKER_02He should have said something. Hey, I'm sorry how accurate.
SPEAKER_03I don't know, whatever. Maybe maybe his people called and said something.
SPEAKER_02Is Jackson Suber in the British Open?
SPEAKER_03Uh I don't know if he is. I do not know.
SPEAKER_02He should be if he's not. He's been I don't know how that all that works. He changes up a lot of the things.
SPEAKER_03It's called uh like the last chance or the one spot or something like that. And it's like eight golfers and they're all playing um over there. I think it's Carnousti, I think it's where they're playing.
SPEAKER_02I hadn't seen that.
SPEAKER_03I can't remember where they're playing anyway. Um but they're they're gonna like play at the venue for one round and whoever wins uh gets to gets to play in the open. So that'd be pretty cool. Oh Wesley uh Wesley Bryan is one of the compet competers because he was one of the last out of one of the qualifiers too. I think it's a bunch of like the people who just misqualifying, you know. Sergio Garcia playing in the game. God, I hope not.
SPEAKER_02Pray for the bunkers.
SPEAKER_03I saw he he uh pray for the bunkers.
SPEAKER_02He already withdrew or something talking about he had food poison. This was like two weeks ago.
SPEAKER_03Don't eat the don't eat the clam clam chowder. Turned. Yeah, all right. I think that's all we got for tonight.
SPEAKER_02That's all we got.
