SPEAKER_01

Welcome to Ghosts and Ghouls Podcast. I'm your host, Tyler, and with me I have the Buy You Backshot Beast Himself, my co-host Anthony. How you doing, man?

SPEAKER_00

What's up? I'm doing good. I'm tired.

SPEAKER_01

You're tired?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I'm tired.

SPEAKER_01

Oh I'm sorry. Oh, sorry, Strider. A little resident black cat. If you're new here, this is how this works. I'm gonna read Anthony here, a fictional horror story about some creepy, cryptid, undead, ghost, ghoul, extraterrestrial, paranormal entity, how haunting, happening monster thing. Something. Where I've redacted the name of the creature and replaced it with descriptions. And then Anthony here gets a guess and figure out what it might be. Now, the fun part is I've gotten zany with it for this season. So this one's a little a little out there still. Okay. This one, this one we can actually go to. Oh. Yeah, so a little hint, hint. Um, after that, we'll look at the history, pop culture, if any, and then we'll do a little what would you do scenario if you had to fight this thing. And finally, a monster movie maker moment, our monster movie maker moment, our monster movie maker moment, where we come up with a wonderful movie idea on this creature and how we can make it the most terrifying or either the most funny or something. And uh yeah, we're all over the place with that too.

SPEAKER_00

So absolutely, absolutely. And just want to take this quick second to say, go ahead, leave a like, go ahead and subscribe, hit that bell for any notifications to stay updated for when we post. Follow us on our TikTok and Instagram, uh, as well as Patreon. We have our Patreon as well. Go ahead and support us there. It's a dollar, it's a dollar. You get a day early and uncut, unedited. All the fuck-ups. Yep, yep, as well as we also have a link in the description to go our buzz prowl. So if you just want to listen to our audio, there it is. You can also support us there as well. We very much appreciate it. And uh yeah, that's about it. Hey, good episode. That's it. That's no, not yet.

SPEAKER_02

Go to rules.

SPEAKER_01

Alright, so to kick things off, Anthony here gets three yes or no questions to kind of narrow down what this thing might be, where it is, you know. Still waiting for some like more standardized questions. I've given you standardized questions. I don't think you've given me soon or next question.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, I have.

SPEAKER_01

But he gets three yes or no questions. And then he gets a little shot in the dark guess. Um, see if he can nail this one down. And uh for season zero, just a little heads up. I know this is what, episode 13? Episode 13 of the 10. Episode 13, lucky number 13. Um, we for season zero, which was what, 12 episodes?

SPEAKER_00

No, it was actually uh 17 or 18 episodes. Was it that many? Yeah. Jesus.

SPEAKER_01

Well anyway, for that many episodes, we were just kind of all over the all over the globe, just throwing darts, like, you know, oh, this sounds cool, that one sounds cool, this one sounds cool. For season one, I've decided on to like decided to just do North America. So we have been all over North America doing some fun, crazy, uh, some fun, crazy. God, we've done a lot of Native American lore. We have been doing a lot of Native American lore. I've also done a couple of like really famous hauntings. Yeah, Amityville. Yeah, in Detroit.

SPEAKER_00

I'm still waiting for like when we go to like either more south into Mexico or either into Canada. You know, out of but it just seems like everything's in the US. Now, is that just because it's like we're at and we're just kind of looking around?

SPEAKER_01

Excuse me. Um so a lot of it comes from uh me just kind of like looking and seeing what sounds cool. Uh so like when you look at like I hate to say, when you look at Bigfoots, big big feet, bigfoots. Bigfoots. Bigfoots. Bigfoots. When you look at Sasquatches, um there's a lot of them. Yeah. But it's not like it's all the same Bigfoot. It's like the swamp ape of Florida, North Carolina has one, Canada has a few. Uh, you know, so it's kind of like if you do Bigfoot, like it's all like they're all kind of tied in together. So I keep trying to find stuff that's not really tied into other creatures per se. Now, this one, the season one is 52 episodes. It's an episode a week. So eventually I will have to start delving into the more like see it again type deal.

SPEAKER_00

You know, I really don't think so. I think because we also have slashers, you know, into like even.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, that might be season like seven.

SPEAKER_00

Oh. That might, you know, stuff like that. Yeah. But yeah, I see what you're saying.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

So, yeah. But I got I got an out there one, but we can get to it. We could probably drive there in a day.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, in a day.

SPEAKER_01

In a day. Oh. Three yes or no questions. Here we go.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, uh, I'm gonna go ahead and say, was this creature does this thing live primarily on the Of course I don't want to say coast, but like beach? No. Like, okay, so not in the beach area. Not in the beach. Because I was thinking of like the Okay, so not in the beach area. Crap. Of course it's gonna live in the like forests. Uh-huh. You said a day. Mm-hmm. Oh, it's a long day of driving, but we can get it. Oh, a long day of driving. I'm I'm gonna assume it's somewhere along the Appalachian Trail. It is not either way, it's in the mountain area.

SPEAKER_01

No. No. No, no. Um, no, it isn't this this entity is not associated with Appalach the Appalachian Trail at all.

SPEAKER_00

Or I mean, like, not not associated, but like lives in that region, like in that that strip of mountains. I don't believe so. No, okay. Crap. I don't I because I was either thinking we go we either go east or west. We gotta go west. We gotta go west? Yeah. Okay, but not that far west. Or past it. Oh. Okay. Is this thing uh is this thing bipedal? That is a standard question. Because it could it can either just be on all fours. I'm laughing because something else.

SPEAKER_01

Is that how I said it? Technically it was bipedal. We'll say it is bipedal.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my gosh. So you're are you okay? Are you laughing because the question that I ask somehow ends up being uh a not a no and a yes?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, 100%.

SPEAKER_00

Why can't you just does it l is it on two legs? Yes. You know? No, you know, it was. It was at one point. I don't know. I don't know. This this creature is two of the clock.

SPEAKER_01

The second I tell you what this thing is, you are gonna be like, Jesus Christ.

SPEAKER_00

I'm gonna go with my safe pick as always. Every episode I do it for season one. Safe pick, windigo. No, no.

SPEAKER_01

Alright, you ready for this story?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

This story is called The Third Step. The road had no business being that quiet. Nash Road stretched like a black ribbon through the trees, swallowing the glow of headlights as if the darkness itself were alive. No streetlights, no houses, just the steady hum of tires against the asphalt and the occasional skeletal branch clawing at the sky. Anthony checked his GPS again. Still no signal. Of course, he muttered. Perfect. He shouldn't have taken this shortcut. Everyone in town said the same thing about Nash Road. Don't drive it at night, not because of potholes or deer, but because of her. He laughed it off earlier. Now alone in the suffocating dark, it didn't feel funny anymore. A shape flickered in the distance. Anthony squinted, leaning forward over the steering wheel. At first it looked like a person standing into the middle of the road. Then it moved. Not walking, but limping. He slowed instinctively, headlights stretched across the figure, and that's when his stomach dropped. It was a woman. Tall, gaunt, her skin sallow, pale gray. Her hair hung in wet strands across her face, twitching slightly, as if moved by a wind Anthony could not feel. And her legs. He blinked hard trying to make sense of it. One leg bent backward, one twisted inward unnaturally. And a third protruded from her side, jointed wrong, dragging along the pavement with a thick scraping sound. Anthony's breath hitched. Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope. He slammed his foot on the gas. The engine roared, but the woman did not move out of the way. Instead, she jerked forward, faster than anything that that broken should move. Her third leg snapped into motion, each striking the ground in uneven intervals. Thump drag crack, thump, drag, crack, gaining speed in a grotesque rhythm. Anthony's headlights flickered. Get out of the road! She lifted her head and her face god, her eyes too wide, pupils swallowed by darkness, her mouth stretched open, jaw unhinging with a wet pop, a grin carved too deep, splitting her cheeks, and she laughed, a shrill choking sound, like the air being forced through her broken throat. Anthony swerved. The tire screeched as he yanked the wheel, but the car fishtail losing grip on the slick asphalt. The woman didn't dodge, she leapt. The impact hit, like a body slamming onto the hood. Anthony screamed as the windshield cracked, spider web fracturing exploding outwards as her face slammed against the glass. For a split second they were inches apart. He saw every detail, the veins pulsing beneath her skin, the dirt packed into the joints of her third leg, the way her smile widened even further, as if it were tearing. Her hand slammed into the windshield, fingers too long, nails black and splintered. Then crash! The car spun violently off the road, smashing into a tree with a bone rattling crunch, metal screened, airbags exploded, and the world snapped sideways. Silence. Then a low hiss. Anthony groaned, dazed, blood trickling down his forehead. The airbag deflated slowly in front of him, the engine sputtered, whining like it was dying. I'm okay, he whispered shaker shakily. His ears rang, the forest pressed in close around the wreck, darker than before. The headlights flickered, weakly, casting broken beams across the trees. Then he heard it. Something landed on the roof. Anthony froze. Drag that same uneven rhythm. Film pri drag. Crack. His breath caught in his throat. No. Slowly, trembling, he looked up. The roof dented inward slightly, as something shifted above him. Then her face slid into view upside down at the edge of the shattered windshield, smiling, watching and waiting. Her third leg hooked over the side of the car, anchoring her there like a spider clinging to its prey. The glass creaked as her finger began to peel it away. And just before it gave way, she whispered in a wet, broken voice, You shouldn't have stopped. The windshield tore open and Nash Rode went silent again.

SPEAKER_00

Alright, what do you think it is? Dude, I thought you were gonna go with a spider or something like that, like an arachnid, you know, type creature, uh, but then but I wasn't prepared to hear like, yeah, it's third layer.

SPEAKER_01

So now you know I was like, it was bipedal.

SPEAKER_00

Tripod? Yeah. Uh I'm assuming it's like walking kind of like a three. Do do do do do do do do you know, like that? Uh I don't know what this thing could be. I've never heard of that creature before or seen like is this like an SCP? Um, this there's no way this is native origin.

SPEAKER_01

The history of this has more aeronormal to it than the actual like cryptid creature.

SPEAKER_00

Oh aeronormal?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Nah, I would I would go with probably like the arachnid lady or the arachnid. Something like that. Something similar. I mean, of course it doesn't she doesn't have like a spider body or eight legs or whatever, but yeah. Uh what is it?

SPEAKER_01

It is literally called the three-legged lady of Mississippi. Oh. Yeah. So of all the ghost stories, urban are alright. This comes from um Daniela Dorenzio uh from onlyinyourstate.com. Of all the ghost stories, urban legends, and folklores associated with Mississippi, the legend of the three-legged lady is by far one of the creepiest. For years, locals have told the story of the phantom woman in the lonely stretch of road she haunts. Um, so the legend of the three-legged lady is known far and wide. The locals report most sightings t take place between uh 2661 and 4548 of Nashville Road, um, which is actually a dirt road um located not far from the Loch and Dam in Columbus, Mississippi. Um, she torments drivers by chasing their cars down in the dark roadway. So, crazy enough, I like I saw this thing and I was like, there's what is the origin of the that's what drew me into this thing because like I was scrolling down a list and it was like, oh, cryptid creatures and hauntings from North America, and this popped up, and I was like, We've done Louisiana with the Rouge roo, like, how fucking cool is that? A werewolf in Louisiana, right? We've done Bigfoot in Season Zero, we've done like all these other kind of crazy creatures, and then I found a three-legged lady, really. So this is from Reddit user Belly Crow 101. As the story goes, motors who wanted to see the three-legged lady should stop on Nash Road, turn off the headlights, and honk the horn three times. And after doing so, she knocks on the roof of the car and then races the driver to the end of the road, hitting the car with her body the entire time. You wanna go try it? Sure. Okay. Some say the three-legged lady of Nash Road was uh secretly seeing a Civil War veteran who was murdered and cast off Nash Road Bridge by the lady's husband when their fidelity was discovered. The veteran's leg was snagged on the fall down and separated from his body. Some claim that in a fit of grief the lady recovered his leg, sewed it onto her own body, and haunted the church where his funeral was held following her own death. Others tell of an even more tragic story where the lady of Nash Road was a wife of a farmer whose visits into town became more and more frequent to the point of suspicion. The woman at uh the women at her church would laugh at the lady, knowing that she was she wasn't enough for her husband. So, I'm sorry. Um, it's the farmer going into town more and more frequently. Okay. Okay. So the woman at her the women at her church would laugh at the lady, knowing she wasn't enough for her husband, which angered her greatly. The wife followed him into town one day to discover that she he was indeed cheating on her, and that night she whipped up a special dinner involving poison, which promptly killed the husband. The people of the church began to whisper about her having potentially murdered her husband after several weeks of his absence, an excuse that no longer pacified. Um, knowing that she was on borrowed time, the Lady of Nash Road barred the the exit to the church one Sunday morning during service and set the building ablaze, watching excitedly as those so as those who so loved to gossip about her got their come-uppins. She sewed the leg of her dead husband to her body so that they could be together for eternity and is said to haunt the charred church grounds and kill anyone who traces upon it. This is the one that got me though.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. This is from a delay a deleted rhetoric user. Uh it says, Mississippian here, and this is how I've always heard the story. Mama and her toddler, age daughter, are alone at home while husband works a longish distance away at a sawmill. It's midday and the daughter's taking a nap. Suddenly, the family dog starts growling and barking at something at something toward their barn and hen house. Mama and dog go to see what's happening outside, leaving the very young daughter sleeping alone unguarded. Well, you know where this is going. Mama and dog find nothing amiss outside. They eventually go back to the house, but now the toddler is nowhere to be seen except for one little chubby pink leg left behind. Mama, wild with grief, thinks she can preserve the leg by attaching it to her own hip. She supposes that if her daughter happens to be found or returned, the leg can be reattached, and at the very least, it's all she has left of her child, and she wants to keep it alive. Mama immediately slices an appropriate amount of skin from her own hip and attaches the child's leg there. The general community blames a strange abduction on a mad dog, not uncommon on the not uncommon common in the area, and the theory is somewhat supported by Mama soon developing a fear resembling a fever resembling rabies and dying. Or maybe she just died from blood poisoning because the corpse leg attached to her. Anyway, mom and daughter's leg are buried together. Mama's ghost is chasing cars to see if you have the rest of her daughter. She'd like to rest not in peace, but with all their pieces. I have no idea what happened to the family dog that originally barked and started the whole mess. Or the woman's husband for that matter. I suspect he remarried within a year. The moral of the story is never leave your children unattended. That's a gruesome story. That is a gruesome story. That's a story. Like an awful story.

SPEAKER_00

You have a gruesome story? I have a gruesome movie.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, you got a movie? Okay. Would you believe that the only pop culture I found about this was a very short, very homemade YouTube video. Love those. Yep, that was it. Okay. There was like like a couple websites that actually mention the three lady or the three-legged lady. Um, but a lot of it is like accounts, like people like, hey, have you gone to Nash Road and done the thing? And I did watch.

SPEAKER_00

I'm assuming it's because it's local. It's more local itself.

SPEAKER_01

It's a very local, but it's crazy though, because I did watch a couple YouTube videos where a guy like walked down Nash Road. Oh, okay. Well, bring him. He's like, explore Nathan here. I'm gonna walk down Nash Road and see the three-way to get waity, and like goes to walk down it and it's daytime.

SPEAKER_00

I see if you would have done it at night, oh, that would have been different. Right? But uh believe it or not, I don't know if you've seen this little stuff going around on I've seen it a couple because probably my algorithm. The they would take a nightly run, but they'll have like it they'll have uh like chasing music or either like people walking music, yeah, scary music or whatever. And I'm just imagining like you do that on the natural fuck that like skittering.

SPEAKER_01

All of a sudden, this like three-legged woman just like checks you like you're in the NFL, just into the into a tree, like you're running, and she just like just fly off, fold around a tree, fall down, like oh my gosh. Yeah, so no pop culture for this. Okay, and a lot of local, like a lot of local stories. Um, there was a lot of people that were like, yeah, I went to Nash Road, I did the thing, nothing happened. You know, we were more freaked out based on just like the idea of something happened than anything actually happened.

SPEAKER_00

I'm assuming because a dark, dirt road, forest on both sides. I mean, your your mind's gonna play tricks, of course.

SPEAKER_01

So, you ready for our little role play, our little what if?

SPEAKER_00

Sure, I'm gonna beat it yet again.

SPEAKER_01

Let's go. All right. Setting a long forgotten stretch of back road in rural Mississippi. Locals won't drive there after dark. They say something walks there, something that doesn't move right, and it doesn't like being seen. Okay. You're driving alone at night. Maybe you took a wrong turn, maybe your GP's GPS got out. Either way, you're here now. Your gas is low, phone has no signal, and something is about to step into the headlights. Okay? So I'm gonna paint a little scene for you. Okay, I can close my eyes. The trees press close on both sides of the road, their branches forming a tunnel that swallows your headlights. The radio crackles, static, dies. You tap it, nothing. Up ahead, something standing in the road. It looks like a woman. Barefoot, still, head tilted slightly downward. You slow the car, and the headlights reach out over top of her, revealing everything. Her body is wrong, one leg stands straight, the second bends inward at an unnatural angle, and a third leg, longer, jointed strangely, hangs from her side, twitching, tapping lightly against the pavement. Tap, tap, tap. She hasn't moved yet. What do you do?

SPEAKER_00

Okay, first of all, uh when you said head tilted down, yeah. I'm not slowing down. I'm I'm forward-focusing straight ahead. So you're accelerating? I'm accelerating. Like we're gonna play a game of chicken.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. You floor it, the engine roars as the car lunches forward.

SPEAKER_00

Hold on, hold on, hold on. Pause, pause. You have different pathways for different scenarios. If I would so if I said I reverse hit, do you have one for reverse? You slam the car into reverse, the hire squirrel says you speed backwards. You're such a little Alright, I I speed forward.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. You floor it, the engine roars as the car lunges forward, and for a split second she doesn't react. Then she moves. Not away, but towards you. Her three legs strike the ground in a broken rhythm, faster than anything that twisted should move. She leaps. What's your next choice? My next choice? Are you swerving at the last second, or are you keep it you're keeping it true?

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Wait.

SPEAKER_01

I wrote my notes down on my phone for this one.

SPEAKER_00

No, you didn't, because guess what? No, no, you didn't. Yeah, do it actually. So how's her third leg? Like where attached? Yeah, where's the where's the attached leg? Is it on her hip going out, like to the to the side? So is it on like her right side or is it on her left?

SPEAKER_01

My depiction, so you if you take the the toddler way into it, right? The toddler leg just kind of dangles off. Yeah. If you take any of the other stories into account where it is a grown leg, it's either her uh the guy or the guy she was cheating on with or her husband's leg. So it's a man's leg that's longer. Yeah. So it's almost like it, I almost see it like it's fused at her hip, but because it's longer, it bends backwards and then comes down, so it's kind of like a weird, like, like a push-off.

SPEAKER_00

So she's almost like a little claw machine. Yeah. Like a weird dispersion, but yes. Okay, but it's on her like right side, per se, right? Sure. Okay, I then I would swerve to my right. Because I mean, she's in the air, and if I'm assuming that this thing is strong with that leg, I'm gonna go to the right, swerve to the right. Like not not okay, not too far because I don't want to go into the ditch or into the forest. Just a little bit so it she can't attach to the car.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Alright.

SPEAKER_00

Or should I have gone to the left a little bit towards her left? You know, I'm not too sure.

SPEAKER_01

Your instincts snap in. At the final possible moment, you jerk the wheel hard to the right. The tires scream against the pavement, the car fishtails violently, but you miss her. Barely. In your side mirror, you catch a glimpse of her form twisting, those three legs snapping and bending as she spins to follow. You don't stop, you floor it. Not today, Satan. The engine houses you speed down Nash Road, trees whipping past in a blur, your pulse pounds in your ears, you check the mirror again, nothing. The road behind you is empty. I lost her, you whisper. Almost laughing. I actually and the radio burst into life.

unknown

Shh.

SPEAKER_01

A shrill wave of static fills the car, then a voice, not from outside, from the speakers, says almost. Your smile dies. Almost doesn't count. The headlights flicker once, twice. They go out. Complete darkness swallows the road. You slam the brakes. Can't see where you're going. The car skids, sliding sideways before grinding to a stop. Silence crashes in. No engine hum, no insects, no wind, just you in the dark. You hand your hands shake as you fumble your free phone. No signal, of course. Then a sound right beside your window. Tap tap. You turn your head, you see your own reflection in the glass, and something moves behind it. A shape rising, unfolding. Her face presses against the window from the outside. So close that her skin smears against the glass, her eyes lock onto yours instantly, wide unblinking. Her mouth stretches into a grin. Then, crack. A thin fracture splits the window. You tried to leave. Her voice slips through the crack, wet and broken. That makes it worse. The glass begins to splinter. Your door handles rattle violently. Not from you, from her. She's trying to get in. The lock clicks up. Click. What would you like to do?

SPEAKER_00

Hold on, pause, because now I'm gonna play this like.

SPEAKER_01

It's kind of like a choose your own adventure game.

SPEAKER_00

So, first of all, what I'm going to do, we're gonna go, we're gonna save game, go back.

SPEAKER_01

We're gonna save game and go back, okay.

SPEAKER_00

We gotta figure out all the these little paths. Hold on, second path, the another path. Instead of the reverse there, I'm immediately doing this. Breaking, I see her. Wait, do I know about the story about the three leggings?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I mean, you were told by the people not to not to go in.

SPEAKER_00

I get out.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

I yell to her, I do not have your child, and I do not know you.

SPEAKER_01

Your hands tremble with the door handle. Every instinct screams at you to leave. But something else pushes through. Guilt?

SPEAKER_02

Maybe she's hurt.

SPEAKER_01

You lock the locks click, the door creaks open, cold air spills into the car, thick and damp, carrying a faint rotting smell. You step out, shoes crunching against gravel. Are you okay? You call, shaking voice. She stands a few yards ahead, a few yards ahead, head still lowered, unmoving, waiting. You take a step closer, then another. The road feels longer now, quieter, like the world is holding its breath. Can I call someone? Just don't move, alright? Her head twitches just slightly, a small jerking motion. Then she lifts it. Fast. Her eyes lock onto yours instantly, and in that moment, you understand. She was never hurt. She was waiting for you to get closer. Her mouth splits open. Closer. Your stomach drops. You stumble back, but your foot catches on uneven pavement and you fall hard on your back. The wind is knocked out of you. Before you can react, thump drag crack. She moves faster than before. Those three legs slam into motion, each step closing the distance in a broken rhythm that echoes in your skull. You scramble backwards, but she's already on you. Her limbs pin you down with terrifying strength, and their third leg hooks around your torso, tightening like a vice. Her face lowers towards yours, and you can smell it now. Decay. Wet earth old. You stopped, she whispered, voice trembling with something like excitement. Her fingers trace your cheek too long and cold. That means you're mine. You thrash trying to push her off, but her strength is unnatural. Her jaw unhinges slowly, wider and wider. A slow choking laugh bubbles out of her throat, and the last thing you see is her shadow stretching over you in the headlight. Three legs bending, reaching, and then the road goes quiet again.

SPEAKER_00

Whatever. Whatever. We're moving on. Yeah, whatever. I won. You lost. What's wrong? Nothing. You don't you don't like the choose your own adventures? No, I I I like it. I like it. I do. But there's one I win. There has to be a path that I win. There is no path that I win. Yeah, this is some BS. Because this is not not what I would do immediately, you know what I'm saying? I would definitely I would have floored it. I would have boom. And then I would have kept going. No matter I wouldn't even stopped with the lights.

SPEAKER_01

If I have dark, you know, brother, if you if you have what dark vision?

SPEAKER_00

No, if the lights go out like that, I'm not stopping, I'm going. You think I'm gonna make make peace with that creature? No, I'd rather make peace with the a tree that's like, you know? What are you reading?

SPEAKER_01

I was I so I didn't read actually all my options. Um, because there's like hold on. What did you do? Did you just like what did I do? Yeah, did you just so I came up with a scenario and then I gave it to ChatG GT chat Chat GPT, right? I was like, let me do a choose your own adventure book. And then with uh some prompting of Chat GPT and then some over my own writing where I took some of its stuff and kind of well rewrote it because but it had some fun ideas in terms of like uh so there was eight there was options A, B, C, D, and then I made it option A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2, D1, D2. And then there was um in those options, depending on what you did, it branched off even further, and then there was like A, B, A, B, A, B, A, B for all the A1, A2. So there was a bunch of options there. And then there was a finality option in terms of what you did after that. So quite literally, the only one that in which you survive, right? Yeah. Is the one where you end up not looking at her.

SPEAKER_00

You you can't look at her?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so you crash your car, right? So either you swerve and um basically she makes the lights go out in your car, and then this is taking me back to my DM roots, dude. So you either you you can swer in A1, she jumped on your car, and A2 you swerve missing her, but she makes the lights on your car go out, and then if she when she's trying to get in the door, you just close your eyes and you don't look at her and basically pretend she's not real, and she whispers something to you, and then she dips.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Tell you what, I'll put that on Patreon. If you want to your choose your own adventure, I'll throw that one up there for free. Just go look at our Patreon and I'll have the like the scenario of uh how it all goes together. Okay. It'll be super fun. And then you ghost and ghoulies can go up there and you know see if you survive. No cheating though. That'd actually be pretty sick.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, well, yeah, okay, I got you. I got you.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. You got three-pieced by feet on a gravel road, Nash. On Nash Road, Mississippi.

SPEAKER_00

Got three-piece by kickboxing. Okay.

SPEAKER_01

No, no, no, no, no. They're not kickboxing. They're just kicking. She gave you the gnarliest roundhouse. The double tap roundhouse.

SPEAKER_00

Just Joe Rogan.

SPEAKER_01

Alright. You ready for this monster movie maker moment?

SPEAKER_00

Absolutely.

SPEAKER_01

Excuse me. Alright. Here we go. Monster movie maker moment for the three-legged woman. Three-legged lady of Mississippi.

SPEAKER_00

Absolutely. Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Alright. You said you had a movie idea up the rip. Yeah, I actually. Because I have a feeling your movie idea and my movie idea are going to be very similar.

SPEAKER_00

No, no, no, no, no. This is going to be very different. Uh, because it's also going to take place into a uh more of a house or a cabin or whatever it is that like the family, it's just a family of three. The husband, the wife, and the daughter. Daughter. Very young. Toddler age. Not toddler, but You're killing a kid. I would say she's probably like seven or eight. Okay. So it's it starts off with them taking the trip. Right? They're taking the trip, they're going down the road. And I just kind of want to start off that you don't know this creature. Or you don't know this entity or whatever, right? But like their car, I would say that they've been driving for a while. So they're kind of the the dad's a little sleepy. Now they get just T-boned, or like the rear just gets hit. But it's not bad. It's not like it's just he's able to wake up and like can kind of control it. Okay so he doesn't flit, he doesn't like crash into a tree. Miracle, like a miracle that he stays onto the road but just spins. Okay. Stops, his adrenaline's up, everybody's adrenaline up. The mother's checking on the kids, his kid's crying. And he's like, okay, what was that? What was that? Looks around, looks at the car. He gets out, looks at the car, nothing. Nothing. Looks around, nothing. So we don't see it. They carry on, and then they get to the where their place, their vacation for just the long week. Because these are city people, these are like business, like corporate office workers, you know. People from New York. Exact. Exactly. So they're they're taking a week off to and they went to fucking Mississippi? Somewhere. I don't know. Exactly.

SPEAKER_01

You know what I'm saying? Maybe it's like hometown.

SPEAKER_00

Hometown?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, like maybe it's like her hometown.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I would say maybe they went to college and I went to New York and I fell in love with a lawyer and and I popped out a kid that he really doesn't love. No. But I can say it's her hometown. Yeah, we could do that. So she goes to she goes back and they have this Airbnb or whatever, just two-story house.

SPEAKER_01

Maybe she's missing a leg. No, I don't want to know. She's the daughter grown up. Oh my gosh. Okay, sorry. Sorry.

SPEAKER_00

Anywho, the uh there was just one scene that I I thought would be like very, very chilling was because the way that the car was hit was hit more on to the more on the rear tire side, right? But it was to where the side that the child was on because she saw her. It's like, oh, that's mine. That's yeah, but she was trying to get to her. Now, they settle in, and I guess it would be more as that the daughter's kind of like, I feel uneasy uh uneasy. I feel very uneasy about this. The mother is kind of getting that same little tingly vibe, but it's like, no, it's just it's just we're it's dark out, it's the forest, it's on mind playing his trick. The husband is still thinking about what hit the car.

SPEAKER_01

You're you're telling the daughter like you're super used to like the New York City and lies. Exactly. Not used to the quiet and like the dead, like the cicadas, like exactly like, oh fuck.

SPEAKER_00

Um they go in and the the dad looks more, right? That's also I want to have that little sound where there's nothing now. Oh and like he's walking back, but he notices it.

SPEAKER_01

That would be kind of a sick sound cue to have like the static noise of like like cicadas and bugs and stuff like that, but when she's near, like it's just dead quiet.

SPEAKER_00

Exactly. And I would say that he he kind of notices the sound, looks over, and he kind of sees like this the tree and like something kind of next to it, but he can't see that well because it's too dark. So he th just thinks it's part of the the tree. Kind of okay. The daughter or the mu uh the wife calls him, like, honey, are you coming in? And he turns to her, it's like, yeah, I'm coming, turns back, and the tree is like a normal tree, and then that lump is gone, and he's like, Fuck yeah, fuck that.

SPEAKER_01

So now I I can't I the those moments fuck me up so goddamn bad in movies, I can't stand them.

SPEAKER_00

There's another scene that I thought was so scary, and I kind of want to incorporate it into this because I can see this thing climbing, right? I wanted to see like a scene after a couple like terrorizing stuff, or maybe like weird incidents that's been happening, or some some scene in the woods, or whatever that in one instance that the daughter is hearing tap, tap, tap, tap, tap on the window, second floor, it's like tap, tap, tap, tap. She sees, she she gets up, she's not scared. Yeah, brave, she sees her, like they're face to face, the lights on, uh-huh. She's talking to her, she's like, come on outside. I like, can you hand me some glass of water? I'm thirsty, blah, blah, blah, blah. And I would say I'm sorry to cut you off.

SPEAKER_01

Or maybe she screams. We we literally, like, literally, if you do this, the daughter has to be missing the leg. That's the tie-in where she's like, that's my kid, and is like like so kind to it, but like relentlessly terrorizing the parents. You know what I'm saying? Like it's a revenge story for this ghost, but it is you know what?

SPEAKER_00

I we can do that. Yeah, okay, we can do that. Maybe maybe she has like a prosthetic leg or something, and she doesn't have it on, and she's like, Ma, mommy, daddy, you know, I help me with the leg. They come or one of them, the dad, maybe I would say, comes in, or maybe the mother. And then the window's opening up well, not even opening, but just like the head's still there, and like the latch is still up. It's like he he comes in, and I want to have like the point of view, like maybe on top, like kind of on top or like side of him.

SPEAKER_01

Kind of like first. So like over his shoulder. Over his shoulder. You have like the shoulder ear silhouette as he turns in.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, he turns in, seats. Super dynamic. He's like, hey, what's wrong? It's like, can you help me get the prosthetic? Like, the lady needs our help. He's like, what lady? Right there. And then he looks and he just sees the head of the lady there, and he's just like, for one instance, like, we're on the second floor.

SPEAKER_01

How the f like rushes to grab her and then picks up and then it's gone.

SPEAKER_00

That or either her face changes into like fury because like that's yeah, her daughter.

SPEAKER_01

Like what he believes. That's her daughter.

SPEAKER_00

She sees she has no leg, too. It's like, oh, that's my daughter. It's like, I'm coming in, like. And that's where we like, I guess they were the husband and the wife were downstairs watching a movie or whatever, and the wife starts screaming because like something's like banging on the door, like you know, just you gotta survive the night of terror as this thing's like spider climbing around the house and like trying to find gain and entry point. Exactly. So that's where I was like having like this terrifying this time. I actually don't I don't know if there's killing in it. I I just want to make this movie unsettling as much as I can. Not a lot of gore, not a lot of not even killing or whatever. And even if they do, I I would say the daughters survives, the wife, or either the.

SPEAKER_01

Oh no, you can you could totally make like a three-per or a four-person cast, right? Four people. Yeah. The kid, the dad, the mom, and the three-legged woman. Yeah. The three-legged lady. And you could very easily do that in a way where nobody dies, but yeah, um, you get the like that fear factor of like that sinister level, looking behind, looking deeper into the scene, looking looking at the tree line constantly. Like, even when they get there and like they're walking from the car to the cabin, like scanning the tree line because she's there. I would like make this movie. You have to watch this movie three times to find her because she's almost in every scene.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, okay. Yeah, I could we could definitely do that. Uh I also want to have like the scene of it kind of like during that time when they're on the movie, like sitting there watching the movie or whatever, the chilling before the daughter calls or whatever. Uh, that he's like, you know, you were gonna tell me something when we got here because this is your hometown, blah blah blah. And then it that happens. Oh. So there's there's a reason why I want I want something about this because he brought it up to me. Anyway, I would say towards the whole night of terrorizing, they're disheveled, they even went into the woods, they're money, or whatever. But luckily, I would say they somehow like maybe kill her, or either they. Just survive the like the sunlight kills her or just dissipates her, or something like that.

SPEAKER_01

I like the idea of like making it to daytime. Like, and that's kind of the other crazy thing, too, is you could have it escalate from the time they get there for one night. Like, you have like an hour and a half, two-hour movie for like eight hours of in lifetime. You know what I mean? Like nine hours of in lifetime. Like they're driving, it's dark, the thing gets checked. Oh my god, a deer hit us. Yeah. What the fuck? Get to cabin. Looking into the, you know.

SPEAKER_00

And and we maybe we don't even need to start the movie while they're driving. We can start it when they're in the city. And it's like, hey, let's go visit our hometown. You know, it's like, oh, there's something I've really got to tell you, but I would love to tell you.

SPEAKER_01

While we're there, I think you'll really enjoy it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and they're they're they're like, you know what, let's leave. The date, they just they leave, they get down the road, they get they hit the uh the the limits. It's coming up, and she's like, you know what? Before we actually leave this limit, like the Mississippi or whatever, yeah. It's like you could just see like she kind of like the the cams on him, maybe, and she's like leaning in and just whispers like this isn't my leg, and then just cuts off. Like she was the actual daughter, you know, or something like that.

SPEAKER_01

You know, is like that that might be how like she maybe she oh my god, you could do it where she's the actual daughter, but she grew up, and maybe she's like baiting people back. Got it, brother. Okay, I don't know. My ending was a little bit okay. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. It's perfect because of this, okay? It's not a husband, wife, and daughter, right? It's a man, his disabled daughter, and his new girlfriend who's also disabled in the same way his daughter is, and that's how they were bonding. So friends. So it's a girlfriend and a boyfriend and his disabled daughter, and he's she's luring them back to Mississippi to basically help her mom try to find peace because she wants to keep living.

SPEAKER_00

So it's two friends and then the boyfriend of the girl, right?

SPEAKER_01

No, no, no, no, no. The girl is young, right? Oh, okay. The daughter, the the three-legged w lady's daughter is older. She's an adult. Yeah. And she finds this rich dude in New York who also has a kid.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, okay. Okay, using the same amputee, but it's missing her right leg.

SPEAKER_01

And then she's like, hey, like, oh, I'd like really like to get to know you. And then it's like, oh, like, I have an amputee. Is that is that weird? And he's like, no, not at all. Like, my daughter has an is is an amputee as well. Yeah. Uh, has an amputation. And that's how like they get real close because then she can bond with his daughter, and he's like, dude, this is the best thing that's ever happened, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And then they go back. And then that's when she's like, Yeah, this isn't my leg. And you just see her grab the wheel and turn it, and you just hear the the car crash, and then it goes dark.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my gosh. That would be like, yeah, this isn't my like.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, this is you know, like, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Or I was kidding, or something like that.

SPEAKER_01

Or she still has she still carries my leg.

SPEAKER_00

And he's like, What? And then and she just goes off. And I would say, like, it kind of does that, like, maybe comic style, or not comic style, but like flash, like flashcard style of like the crash, boom, missing person's report. I wouldn't no, I was gonna say like survivor. I was gonna say the flash, like the crash, it's upside down, the husband's like dead or whatever, maybe. Yeah, and then the next scene is just her carrying the daughter, like princess style, like in the forest. You know? Because I I would say they they have prosthetic, right? Yeah, yeah, prosthetic, but like she's walking the daughter, and she she's no prosthetic on. It's just and then it cuts to black.

SPEAKER_01

It's a fucking gnarly.

SPEAKER_00

I was thinking about something like, but I was really like the one scene that stuck with me was having like something to like we're on the second floor. Or like, you know, like something we're on the top story.

SPEAKER_01

I like the idea of having the three-legged lady in a bulk of shots, but she's just in the background, or like moving behind a window, or is like the shadow that passes by. You know what I mean? Like they could be making fucking making dinner, and then it's like the light from outside, the sun's setting, and like a shadow moves in front, and they're like, Damn, that was a big bird, or what the hell was that? Like, because it just like is gone.

SPEAKER_00

Now, the the re yeah, I was the reason why I I I had thought about that scene was because there was another movie. I don't know the name of it, but it is a Japanese film. Uh they're I don't know what it is with Japanese horror story films, but they're really good at just unsettling. Yeah. Like just the slow, not like I think some of their you know, I think some of their censorship is uh what makes them do a little bit of a lot of people.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, they have to do a different censorship.

SPEAKER_00

So what it was is the scene is the guy's talking to this lady, she's like, hey, I need help getting in, blah, blah, blah. It's like, I don't have my keys or whatever to get into the building. Can I come through your window? And then his other friend looked. He's like, What the like he cloaked. I thought he closes is like, what are you doing for? Like, what on the top story? He's like, How does women get up here? He's like, How does she get up there?

SPEAKER_01

He's like, Yeah, and then it was like, Oh yeah, because he was like handing her something through the window. I remember seeing that clip. Oh, okay, yeah, that. Yep, yep, yeah. Yeah, I remember seeing that clipped. Yeah. It's like, oh, have you ever seen the Jennifer Lawrence movie Mother?

SPEAKER_00

Yes. Uh wasn't that the one where it's like the cut three kids, right? No? Am I thinking of something else?

SPEAKER_01

I think you might be thinking of something.

SPEAKER_00

The three kids, and then it's the mother that like took care of them in the cabin for so long, and then they uh they three kids got found and then taken back into society, but then the mother looks for them and haunts this like a big thing.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, you're no, you're talking about mama. Oh, okay. Yeah, no, mother, mother was like a 2017 Jennifer Lawrence, she starred in it, and it was this like psychological horror like movie where this like she was married and she ends up having a baby. It was it's a really fucked up movie. Like, it's it's out there. Okay. Um, but at the end, um, and I hate even talking about this, knowing like the state of the world and stuff that's been told to us recently. Um, but at the end, uh, she has a baby, and it's her in the baby, and then the husband's in a cult, and they take the baby and they end up killing and eating it. Right? Okay. Y'all know what I'm talking about. I got you. Certain files, files that have been released. Well, anyway, they put it right in her face. Well, anyway, um, I thought, like, that movie was very, very unsettling. Okay. Like, super, like, I was talking to one of the guys at work who is like huge horror movie nerd. Like, seen so many that he had to go to like like Italian horror, and like, I mean, he goes to like some weird out there stuff.

SPEAKER_00

Probably, yeah, VPN to see other stuff. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So I was thinking of doing something like Mother, where we have an origin story of the three-legged woman. Okay, okay. So you have the the the the the dirt poor family who's doing all the stuff. The husband works at the sawmill, you know, he's doing his thing, blah, blah, blah. But they start getting infiltrated by cultists that he's bringing home from work. So he's like, hey, this is my buddy Dave. Dave, this is my wife, this is my daughter, and and like she's immediately unsettled by Dave, right? And so, like, they go to like say prayer over dinner, and he's like, I don't do that, and then like, you know, it's like, oh, I'm an atheist, yeah, and stuff like that. But it ends up being that like they're inducting the family into this cult, and the like their initiation for the husband is giving up his firstborn. But they get to the point where they do it, mom discover the wife discovers it, and is like, that's what she's left with is like the severed leg of her baby and his or her kid, and it like grief-stricken whatever, like freaks the fuck out and then sews it to herself to keep it with her. Like, you just see like that psyche snap. And that's the other thing, too, is I want it to be one of those like psychological horror films where it's like I I I can sorry.

SPEAKER_00

No, go ahead. I was thinking of like a scene of like you actually having the sewing, yeah, but like it's it's where it's like this it's coming down to sunset, it's going through the windows, and you don't see her. You hear the sounds, but you can see it on the wall, like the shadow of it, and it's just the right.

SPEAKER_01

You see her like pulling the string when coming back. Yeah. Um I almost want it to be like what was the name of that? I can't remember the name of the movie. There was there was a movie that was like that, where it was like, oh, I was a parasite of what? What is it trying to do? There it was just it was a movie that kind of was like, oh, like it's about these people who are taking advantage of other people by living in their house and doing all this kind of stuff, but there was like a big twist at the end. Well, anyway, I kind of wanted to be like that, where it's like you have the it's kind of that that cultish mentality of like the infiltrating, you kind of see where it's going, but it's like, oh, they're just inducting him into the union, right? Oh, they're he's part of the brotherhood. Oh, he's part of this now. And it just like like you can see it's unsettling him because he's doing things that he's not like he knows he shouldn't be doing, but it's benefiting his family. So like he gets inducted into the union, he gets more money. He buys a newer car. Oh, yeah. Now they're now they have now they have two vehicles, and it's like, oh, now he's buying his wife nice clothes, he's buying, but it's like he doesn't do anything for the kid because he knows the kid is eventually gonna be taken away.

SPEAKER_00

So he's on the trial run until he needs to go up to the full.

SPEAKER_01

And then of course I work at a sawmill, so I have chainsaws and everything else. So like that's what they do. And then like, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Now is this and then after that, is it like a time skip, or are you going all like she goes on a murdering rampage?

SPEAKER_01

I think that's where the the the part is where after she's grief stricken and broken, that she goes to the sawmill and or church or anything. Because I kind of like the idea of like the the gossipy women and everything. I kind of oh yeah, that I was thinking of that too, but uh like the oh the wives of the Satan and cult or like maybe they're all just part of the same cult and they're all in one area, they're all in one thing in mass. She she's lost her mind. He's like, hey, honey, I have to go and lead. And then like she just like Yeah, I can kind of see it's like crazy, but she goes up there and like bars the door shut and just like moltaz it.

SPEAKER_00

I was just thinking that this was gonna be like a thing where she actually goes around and like kills a lot of the satanic cult members. Kind of to where like for the one time you're actually like cheering for like the killer or the entity or whatever, and it's just this broken like lady becoming a monster, but like it's do enacting its own justice, yeah, and it's killing and it's just killing, and then it's doing the burning or whatever, and then she's still going and she's looking for her husband now because he wasn't in the fire. Yeah, so it's like he could be the last kill, and then because of all the like the blood sacrifices or whatever, her or because of the grief or whatever, and then when she dies.

SPEAKER_01

Maybe, maybe that's what maybe this is what it is. She goes, she's she's lost it all, she's freaked out, mind broken. She goes and bars the the church door shut, burns it down, her husband leaves in his new car, right? And she runs through the woods and meets him on the road and crashes into him, killing her. He spins out, hits like wraps car around tree, right? Brains himself against the tree, just like like everybody dies, and then you just see her sit back up, right? And she stands up and the hook the headlights are flickering, right? But it's one of those like zoomed-in shots where like headlights flickering, right? And you see her silhouette sit up, and then she gets up and she walks off, and then it slow pans out, and you still see her body there, like it was her ghost, her spirit getting up and walking off. Yeah, yeah. Both creepy fucking movies.

SPEAKER_00

Absolutely, no, yeah. But this one is like, oh, but you can make it to where she's like does a lot of like the have it to where it's like stalking, where she stalks each member of like some of the satanic cults or whatever to figure out like who took her child, yeah, and it because she's on this hunt now, right? But like she's hiding behind like poles, or you see her in the background between like talking, like you said with mine, but like this is an actual like stalker, yeah. Or she's watching someone sleeping over, and like you can see.

SPEAKER_01

So I'm almost I'm almost thinking like act like three acts. Act one is the setup of her husband and her being poor. They just had this baby, this baby girl, or they they're they're raising this this this kid. They're like when I say poor, like she's sewing her own clothes, like all that kind of stuff. All the women, all the women around are wealthy and have bright flow floral dresses and blah blah blah, and big necklaces and whatever. And then it's like she's kind of like the laughing stock of town when she goes and she has to buy like the meager groceries and like they're buying, you know.

SPEAKER_00

Would you almost have it to where she's actually like very resilient to that stuff? To to a point where it's like, you know what, it it's okay.

SPEAKER_01

I have a beautiful daughter, I have my husband, everything's good, but it's getting to him, and then that's the crack that they then exploit, get into their home. All of a sudden he's like, hey honey, I bought you this, I bought you this. It's like, oh, what are these? It's like, yeah. But then it's kind of like, oh, well, maybe we are gonna be okay. Maybe we are gonna be okay. And then that's when it just like you get to like act three, because like act two is kind of like the lead up of, and like maybe he comes in and maybe he has like a brand or something like that, or it's like some like cut, and you should even have an act two part of it to where, like, yeah, you could have the cut or something.

SPEAKER_00

But it's like she's sitting at the table and she's like, Listen, we gotta talk. Are you cheating? Because like what's spending more and more time away. All this stuff, like like at the moment.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, are you trying to buy me? Like, where are you getting it? What's happening?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you know, they have a big argument, big fight. She's like, you know what? I can't do that. You sleep here, I'm sleeping the bed, or whatever.

SPEAKER_01

You know, I'm yeah, I'm taking the baby, I'm taking the kid, I'm sleeping in the bed with them.

SPEAKER_00

Whatever, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. But then he proves to her, like, maybe he like gets a receipt for a check. And he's like, see, I'm not lying. And then like the like the trust comes back, but then I want it just to dial to 11 in the last 30 minutes of the movie, where it's like, what the fuck is going? Like, Jesus Christ. Like, they set eyes on them, they sacrificed her, like, they did all this stuff. She breaks, sprints through the wood, husband hits her, spin, loses control.

SPEAKER_00

But that's where I also wanted to see, like, in act three, but she sort of starts just butchering.

SPEAKER_01

See, this is the thing though. I almost want it to be like it dialed to 11 to where like she freaks out, they like people come over, right? They all leave, dogs freaking out, they go out, and then you see like the shadowy figure come back into the house and take the kid. And then she comes back and she's like, where's, where's, where's, where's, where's and so he's like super, like sweating, you know, like very just like nonchalant about it. He's like, Oh, she'll turn up, and then that's when they like she like, honey, I have to leave, and then she finds a severed leg, and then it's like putting pieces together, and then she breaks, throws it onto herself, she's like goes to the church, and like the church is like interior lit red, right? And you can hear like people like screaming, and like maybe she peeks in the window, it's like a total torture scene, bars it up, bombs it, then car leaves. I want it to be like that fast where she doesn't even have time to like stalk and like it's just like like I broke, I'm killing everybody. And she like, oh yeah, yeah, like yeah, you just went and murdered like 75 people and like murdered the town. Yeah. And now your husband's driving away in his brand new car, and you sprint through the woods. And then she sits up and she stands up and she sits there, kind of daze and looks at it, and then walks off screen, and then is slow pans out, and her body's laying there all broken. Great movies. Yep, great movie ideas.

SPEAKER_00

Absolutely.

SPEAKER_01

Now, at the end of the episode, I do have one question. Okay. Do you like feet? Do I like feet? Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I'm not I don't think I'm attracted to feet.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

No.

SPEAKER_01

Do you think this this the three-legged lady would give a hell of a foot job?

SPEAKER_00

Trinity Odette.

SPEAKER_01
