This week we took turns giving our opinions on Marcus Rashfords return to Man United and whether he deserves a second chance. We started as per usual with our weekly news and for once there was very little. We then went through all the transfer news from the past week including a battle for Rodri between Real and Barcelona, and yet another week with no new signings for Man United. After our Rashford debate we answered all our listener’s questions.
Welcome back everyone, episode number forty-nine, Lads in the Sideline Podcast. It's me, Connor, as always, joined by me brother Sean.
SPEAKER_01Welcome back everyone. And our father, Vinno. Oh welcome back, and thanks for listening. If you can see me now, thank God I'm in my United Jersey. That crap last week, that was it.
SPEAKER_02You didn't need for it, you know that didn't see me for a Vinno uh picture up on Instagram, didn't you? A lace jersey and at least was blue so it didn't look too bad. Yeah. We'll do that again next season, the loser of our predictions.
SPEAKER_01I've seen a wear next year.
SPEAKER_02If Sean loses, we'll have to get along with an arsenal jersey and think about him. I'll be studying this year, lads.
SPEAKER_01Well as soon as you'll be standing up one thing, things going as hell.
SPEAKER_02And thanks for the jersey as well. Oh yeah, we did, yeah. Sean um won our predictions on last year, so he bought him the new United Jersey, the blue one.
SPEAKER_01So he can stick it up on Instagram as well as you look at the dippings in the tail with them.
SPEAKER_02Maybe walk all the way across to the north side to get the flame thing because it united were in town, wouldn't it? That's right. Yeah, he was there again. Dog you and Santos was it? I think so. Go through the kids, a lot of the kids were able to meet and wouldn't they get stuff so it was a meeting agreed as well as in today, wasn't it?
SPEAKER_01Like put all the out in the cart in house, meeting minute. Yeah, yeah, if it was like you met all the fans and you know signing a lot of photographs and stuff. Look at that's what you do on tour, isn't it? Yeah, that's what you're supposed to do on tour.
SPEAKER_02No, wasn't it?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, I think that wasn't that April when you had the break. April yeah, the three-month break or whatever. Yeah, isn't it for it? Yeah, great, yeah. And even tomorrow's supposed to be scorching for tomorrow, isn't it? Yeah, well, yeah, but that's where it goes to the L match now tomorrow, in Crow Park, Lane United.
SPEAKER_02So I'm looking forward to the fan be gone. Yeah, it's gone. A bit of interaction, isn't it? Yeah, absolutely. If it goes well, then look it's a good day, I wouldn't we whether it was all as such, you know. We'll just no trouble around because leads fans can be, you know. I think it's over it, lads.
SPEAKER_01But look at you know what, realistically, like the result means nothing, but you still like to keep the momentum going. Yeah. Like you haven't lost really part of the first game when you play against Rex, I'm sure you haven't so you've got momentum. They haven't lost the game either. Yeah, but look at Leeds had a good win against the buttons and like look at building, but look at any Leeds fan listening or uh or any United fan listening to us now, or anybody listening, it's all about just building up your fitness and building up your your stages of playing the pitch, and that's it. You're gonna be free. That's it. Integrate the new players in, and it's not that there's many. No, but at least there's a few. Look at there's a few back. Yeah, C Martinez flew up. Yeah, so that's good. Yeah, so look, so like it's positive for like that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, well if that's where we can be positive, be positive as well. Exactly. Yeah, what do you think? Well, we have to give score predictions. What do you what do you think? Who do you think that would be two all? Yeah, I just want to say that. Well, not gonna do that now, but you said it. Three two united, you're plenty of goals, I'd say.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, yeah. Look, I should be in a friendly Harry McGuire electric. Yeah, three three. We got a free three. Yeah, okay. What can it be like about three-three? Everybody come out happy and goal entertainment.
SPEAKER_02You haven't really conceived the phones on that carrick as as much as we should with the defenders that we have. Yeah, like we don't really even get I know it's a PhD second team, but after he scored a goal, didn't really create a chance. Like the end of it. But we'll see. We'll see what happens tomorrow. Look at two morrow.
SPEAKER_01On Saturday, and that's it then, doesn't it? Get ready to go. I know Lowe's going. Yeah, so do I think 88 degrees tomorrow? Yeah, absolutely.
SPEAKER_02So I leave me some cream out. You won't enough, can I probably won't be there? No. Sean will look like he and I had Jersey, but yeah. You wear the shorts come back.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely, yeah. You wearing shorts? Yeah, yeah, definitely. That's it. Yeah. What about getting somewhere at a point dad or a short time? I'll just go home. I'll be living town.
SPEAKER_02You got a long change? Yeah, why not? Change when I'm up there. Yeah, on the door stays on. Yeah, yeah, that makes sense to you that was position. Yeah, absolutely. So we'll be out after the match tomorrow if anybody wants to say hello or have a point or about that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. When they joined the tree lads on the podcast.
SPEAKER_02As the winner of the we're doing a meeting green tomorrow. You creepy points. Yeah, all right. We move on. Yeah, we move on to the only saying it's we don't need the newest, we just move on to our newest. There's not really too much, to be honest. We had I had a bit of news about Mourinho, but we have a question of him later, so we're gonna park that um till later on. And then we also have a obviously the whole Rashford thing, but again, sort of gotta leave that till our later on, yeah. So it might be the sort of main topic this week, I think, at all Rashford. So big topic. This question later on, man. We move on from them two to our questions later. Um so then the only sort of two big pieces of news that I could see anyway, um Jeff Bezos and this consortium are really looking into buying a minority stake in Limo Cole.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, 20% or something. Oh, they do. Americans, they're useless at running clubs. Yes, yeah, true, yeah, exactly. Yeah, yeah. So I can't don't see anything like uh well, look, I I can't change, look at Newcastle and all to say well, all the money to have, but you still have to generate your money in what they looking for.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So are they going to run it as a business as well the way the leading glazes are and all on when all the Americans come in and just do it?
SPEAKER_02They'll just be pumping his Amazon advertisements or place, and that's it's not for the good Liverpool, it's for themselves. Any Liverpool fans are there rubbing their hands together. Yeah, if that was United, it'd be because we're moving away from the Glazers. I don't think FSG, is that the name? Yeah, Liverpool like that either. Not a lot of them like FSG, but not as much as we hate the Glazers on our regime, you know. But he's not there to make Liverpool better, he'll spin the iron course. What are you sold? Making himself money.
SPEAKER_01And then I wonder and he has enough money to be as you said, it's all about advertising his building. Yeah, because I wonder if he could be great too, don't get me wrong, he could surprise us and start spending money. But you can only spend money like that getting in as revenue, you know.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but make law also say I wonder obviously just say you might have Amazon on the front and all around the billboard, but I wonder would that go towards income because it's it's his own company. Like I mean, like when he can you sponsor yourself, like no, you can't put that in. Yeah, you can't put your own money in. Yeah, no, it's strange and that maybe so we'll see about the way it works out. Like if we like you said you might be just the owner, just a an Amazon centre might pop up and live up in five years' time or something. You wouldn't know, like it'd be stories behind this.
SPEAKER_01Look, it could be good, look, it could be good, it could be look at when we we got rash for rash for you here, maybe we're not gonna come up with in a minute. When we got rash within Dow we thought it was going to be amazing, we thought it was going to be a United fan of all these right now, and it turns out we're still fucking shot by the run of the club. Yeah, yeah. I mean, so so you you you can have a bit of high hopes to say as as a Liberal fan, because there's somebody else coming in with a big share like 20% or whatever, but um, it doesn't always work.
SPEAKER_02No, absolutely not. Uh second and last bit of news before the transfer there was from the last week, um Ivan Towney. You see how the news got him. He's getting uh well, I suppose he's getting charged with assault. He assaulted something in a Soho nightclub last year. Um yeah. And he said if it was if it goes through, we could be like facing six years in prison. There you go. So whenever something like that happens, or whenever there's a death, we always bring her up for something. Yeah, we sort of had to touch it, we couldn't just put it.
SPEAKER_01No, that's over, like in fairness thing. You know you might buy him the next three weeks. Yeah, yeah. It's usually what you do, isn't it? It's a certain other players at the club, he probably would have volunteered exactly in, but no man. When you're looking at United transfers, they're just useless, then you're so like four weeks now. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02There is four weeks, yeah. So you pair set transfers, so we move all the transfers and we start with United. Oh, it's oh move on to Liverpool. Yeah, right. Two goalkeepers are gone, right? So Bayon there's gone to sell the Vigo and Lone and Little Tonin to four million next year, and then your man Vit Heck has gone to Middlesbrough. I think it's the initial ten and it could go to fourteen then next season as well. Yeah, well, look you.
SPEAKER_01You know he should do this goalkeeper from a championship player or something like it's a goalkeeper. Like look, he's a good goalkeeper in, wasn't he? So he should really be playing in finance. He won all the awards last year, didn't he, for Bristol City? Yeah, so you look you should. You had to move on a bit for it didn't he?
SPEAKER_02Like, yeah. Exactly. Er so toward midfielder for United, if we eventually do get one, he could be talking about your man from Leicester, the Humphrey, Lewis Page, 18-year-old. Now he's got to be very good and whatnot, but he can't be a Tower midfielder. No, go relegated with it.
SPEAKER_01Fourth of all you can't be putting, there's only 18, so you can't be putting that much pressure on an 18-year-old to be a standing um player for Man United. He has to be one for the future. But you can't be a replacement for Casemiro either. No. So I don't know as simple as that. Absolutely not.
SPEAKER_02Um one that they could be using as a utility player, and it only came out today. Ben Jacobs was telling me Louis Kelly, he's had to be an offer to United and Chelsea 45 million. That sort of figure. That's not bad.
SPEAKER_01To hurt and getting rid of them.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, well, the who did he buy the Vacuum or Race? You're sort of seeing him as a midfielder now going forward. Oh yeah. In Capia, yeah. Yeah, they're not great, yeah.
SPEAKER_01No. Yeah, Lewis Kennedy, we've probably had to pitch it out when he already got it.
SPEAKER_02Well, why do you let the one of that go? Is it is it similar to Santos? There's not enough space, not enough. Is he uh an Academy graduate? Yes, yeah. He's homegrown players as well. So that'd be the same. He played well the year before, left back, and like to the end of last season he did alright in the midfield, like you say, but I don't know.
SPEAKER_01Well look, you know what? If if you listen to any stories that like like of him, yeah, I think he wants to play in midfield. Yeah, I think he wants the midfield. So if you're not buying him like buying him for the left back, is he going to be happy with that because he's preference in the midfield.
SPEAKER_02I think I'm surprised Arsenal are getting rid of him because just say United Rare where Arsenal were, he'd be maybe the type of player you would sign because he could play in two positions. Yeah, exactly. But what would be easier for him to get in ahead of Calafiore or go in ahead of Shaw? It's about fit. Yeah. Like if Calafiore's fit and Shaw's fit. Like I don't think he starts out there. And he doesn't start ahead of it, you know.
SPEAKER_01And then Cali likes Shaw. Yeah. So he's not going to drop him.
SPEAKER_02And then even the midfield, like, does he start ahead of Thielman's Santos Amen now? No, no, he's obviously not going to start with Arsenal midfield. So he's a squad player that he'd only be sort of hoping thrown into Arsenal let him go. Yeah. Like it has happened before.
SPEAKER_01How old is he? So like Bardy is Bardi's having award with United and uh if they are now just you're only bringing it up. Like you have to be buying him as a as a left-low. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And that's it. Now the second part of that was that he's been offered to Chelsea as well. Yeah. Because obviously Santos is gone. Only 19. Was he injured? Did he get a big injury? Can you look that up on your phone while you're there? I thought he might have got like a Shelley? Yeah. I don't know why I'd have that in the back of my mind. It's still a lot of money for 45 minutes, isn't it, for the 19 year old? Because that's what I was saying, Chelsea or the other club that they offered him to. And that sort of fits in with the the next bit is that Man City are looking at Enzo Fernandez. Sean said last week sort of touched on it, but again, Ben Jacobs came out and said that they're sort of really he said it's going to be difficult to do. Because of his release clause and all this sort of stuff, but they're really looking into it. Signing them like LCR as well.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, he's only missed Man City from Chelsea. No, no, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_02He's only had a knock, he's never had any big thought he was injured for a for a good while.
SPEAKER_01Look, you'd be it look, he'd be a good player, but as we said, it's a it's another prospect player that's there like Barry, like like you definitely need the left foot because Shaw won't be playing if he can't. No. So if he's coming to United as a left fool and and and he's the best one available, he's out there, they don't know who else is available, he's there like well, he has to be coming as a left fool.
SPEAKER_02Arsenal fans will be happy, I'm assuming. I don't know. And you can't really beat up. He won the league in the Champions League, hasn't it? Oh, he got the Champions League final. Yeah, yeah. Played in the Champions League final. He didn't touch the ball much or no, yeah. He's up against it, but he still has experience at 19, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Look, it's a 45 million, it'd be it's a lot to play for 19 and old as well.
SPEAKER_02But if you get no one else, I think you have to welcome it. Yeah. It looks like I get anyone else in a month since we've done any business. Four weeks today. Someone said to me today in in the thing, just three weeks left, I don't panic, just three weeks left. So, what did we do in the last four weeks? No, but there you go. In our brutal. So you think that this transfer reminds me of is obviously Arsenal, the best team in England now just say it's almost like oh well, he's not good enough for us, you take him. Yeah, no, no, United just like United uses a sell, like you so United saw well back to Arsenal and all, and City used to sell all that cheap players to Arsenal, and Chelsea used to go to players that you know I mean like it that's sort of what it reminds me of is I mean he's not good enough for us, but your second or third here, so you take him, yeah, sort of a thing.
SPEAKER_01But look at me and like you said, like at 19 and the taking a chance getting rid of them because it could end up being one of the best around. Yeah, because he's still only 19.
SPEAKER_02Hopefully they get it wrong, yeah, true, yeah. Um you bring this one up because Vinno sort of liked them last year, Sassa Lukich. He's gone to Ipswich, the most feeling up in Fulham. Nine million.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we'll see, and and and you were you were saying about that, like about the relegation teams and coming up and who has a chance and all like that. You might have been saying, Oh, was that a question or something like that? I don't know what you like. Um like but um the way that I read that. I read it somewhere about him, and I said to myself, like, he's a fucking good hard midfielder. He's really, really good hard midfielder.
SPEAKER_02Because you were talking about him last year, weren't you?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I put him in as as one of the players with that as a hard man, like like this that's but look you look at the likes of them and Ipshits and I like you have to build big squads like now, like for the like it's a big jump up. It's a huge, massive jump up, yeah. You know what I mean? For Hall and Cavalry and then they want to stay up. Yeah, yeah, look at when they did it before, didn't even they came in, they stood up and they stood up and then they went by down and they came back up again. Like like Gibbs are like they're not the washroom club, let me tell you.
SPEAKER_02No, I mean like it's gonna be strange now for the Mc McKenna gone around, isn't it? Like that's gonna be a big blow, isn't it, for them? But yeah, we'll see how they go on. Um a few more bits on the Premier League. That's kind of old Premier League Salah. Kind of Trabzon Sport. Yeah, that was a sale. How much money he's getting paid? That's they have money. Torquish clubs have money, whatever's going on. They have rights to something, I don't know what it is. I'd have to look it up, like you said last couple of podcasts ago. Something with the Torkish League, even though they have got a great following and great tournout, yeah. Um but he no one drinks around the matches around, you know, they're all I think anyway, they're not generating much money from revenue inside.
SPEAKER_01Just have it as something though, and I have to share up to you. But they would they would have took Fray and the Batchett was was was going to be taken was living for for rations as well. They probably would have paid him all his way because you said that'd be that'd be another club you attend as topics that we would have loads of money to spend. That's the problem with Graham would Dave Graham would like to. He's on mad money over there. Yeah, that's really mad money from you know so that was big, it was definitely big money like the help some pole there to get them there. I mean 90 per 90% of people would just talk like he's Saudi Arabia bound for half a million a week or whatever, like so they're getting 380 grand a week.
SPEAKER_02We wouldn't be surprised, yes. It's funny, I saw a funny video the other day. It was like um because Onana is alone to Trabz on spore as well. Yeah, so it was like um Jesus things about United fans hate to see in the TV sheet is Salah and Onana.
SPEAKER_01Who would have thought that? And Salah's on his way out, and the other thing is brutal. Useless but they still spend the money to get them in the inferno.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, through away, through state backed that restructuring. Yeah. So they're kind of a sautory. Massive fan pressure, I wasn't. But yeah, they're state backed. So the country the country helps them. Loads of money. So that's that's what I sort of that's the forcing it came into Google there. Uh chat GBT. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's it's mad then. Yeah, Tokyo is a country, obviously.
SPEAKER_01Look at that, so like when the show them teams they'll be in the Champions League, which I know the the always are, and if you know you get anything like Galatas or your friends, when you go there like it's like it's like out to hell and hostile and they're not the worst teams either, like the hard teams to beat. No, not uh sticking with a sort of Liverpool team.
SPEAKER_02Again, I don't know what way to take this sort of transferring a man around who has gone to Liverpool on loan, and they're working on it sort of what's this loan to buy or something like that. If you've got a million or something like that.
SPEAKER_01We don't know much about him, so you used to be able to talk about him.
SPEAKER_02I thought he was one of the better players, but then you look back on all the news and I wouldn't have been looking at him anyway. Um it's did you want them not that they want them gone, but no Barcelona fans seem to be unhappy that he's gone. That's all they've got like that. Which is which strange sounds right, so it's not good enough to stay in that league. How's he gonna do well?
SPEAKER_01You might you might use this as motivation, I don't know. There's obviously a player there somewhere. And like I was just saying, like if you think you're going from Barcelona to to Liverpool, you're going from one big huge club to another big huge club, but the difference is the league. So if you're swinging the hard, now we don't know, you say it don't even more you could be the hardest player in the fucking Spanish League, I don't know. All I'm saying is if you're going from the Spanish League to the Premiership and if you think you're struggling with the Barcelona advance, wouldn't whether wouldn't disappoint it, you might find a very hard end in the premiership. Like you will get it. That's my guess. But that's just the educated guess, I suppose. Well is he now? And is he like he's like he is he Spanish? Like is he like some Uruguay? Uruguay, like so you expect him to be a bit tough if he's from Uruguay.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I've seen him like it we've watched in a league one bit, like, but I don't know who to compare them to, but he's if he gives away like five or six pounds this year, I wouldn't be surprised. Yeah. Real clumsy. Is he like yeah, he's one of these he can cover right back and centre half. And I think we were talking about it today. If you're not good enough to nail down one position, like how world class are you? Like it's it's not world-class right back and centre half together. Like, you know what I mean? Like no, I haven't had a grace transfer window either. It's either sort of snapping.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and do you know what we have the back four? Yeah, you and I just want to be a second now and show what you sean saying about Lewis Skelly. You can play left back or you can play in the midfield as say, right? But you really want them for one position, but uh well and good. If you if you're stuck, whatever. But in the back four, you you really need your back forward to be a left full, two centre halves, and a right full. If you go from the midfield up and you're a bit stuck, you can juggle the midfield or somewhere else, so you can juggle a f a left wing or a right winger to talk about centre forward like Boermo. But if you're a centre half, you're a centre half. You've never seen Heimer where you're playing right full. Do you know what I mean? Like you shouldn't like Bandwick wouldn't play right full. No, but you shouldn't even see Shaw coming in back, you play trade the back, but you shouldn't even see Shaw play centre half, like yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, like if you know what I mean, like as a 27-year-old then, he shouldn't be 27, is it? Like he's like he's what it reminds me of when Oopa McCann went to Chelsea, and you thought he looked at it, I thought, Jason, he's supposed to be seen as one of the best at halves in the world. Yeah, you can hear it, and then you look where he's playing, you're like he's brutal. Yeah, like the wonder. The Premier League be too faster, right? That's my guess. Yeah, he's 27 and he's sent a half, and Barcelona letting him go, he's a he's a problem. Yeah, yeah. Or he's not good enough. So yeah, I think he's got to be real clumsy, I think.
SPEAKER_01And you won't delay Barcelona last year, and sort of age you know, so beginning with him like like mayor, as obviously you said he's not good enough.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Because they might be pulling off the lid and hijacked. Oh hijack to it, Roderick. Yeah, yeah, well, that's what I'm saying. That is how you do a deal, isn't it, as a big club? Yeah, like you just go in, let Ravich do all the f and feels, get the price and blah blah blah, and just bum. It's a con you. And now they're just hunting between the two of them and trying to sort of fee out, and they could be done now in the next couple of days. 50 million is not good.
SPEAKER_01Like, so it's not even starting off for a hundred million. No. No, like that's bad, isn't it? Sixty million I say you can't. Yeah. I'd say that like maybe six. If you win the league or champions league, it might go up to being seventy or something. Yeah, yeah. But we'll be getting a great player. Yeah. You won the league, then they're gonna get him on top of that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. But isn't it another one that's like I mean you'd obviously be doing a prediction now to say next week or whatnot? But like how far city you're gonna be, like, that's Rodri Bernardo Silva gone out on midfield. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01The Brian had in his face in like two two, three years, like. Yeah, the manager. You know what I mean? Like I said, you don't know how it's gonna even work out now with Pep gone.
SPEAKER_02Like, well when Fergus are left in 2014, Skulls left and gigs left, nobody thought they would have fallen off. That's the same, isn't it? Guardiola, Silva, Rodri.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, all gone. And different tactics, different training, different it might not work. Yeah, so.
SPEAKER_02One player that could leave Barcelona, it looks like he's gone to Fernand Torres. They're saying the contract is all done. Now it's just sort of fame with Barcelona. They offered 50. Barcelona 70. 70 would go towards Rodri. Yeah. There he goes. That's what the price Roger would be. Yeah. Yeah. Or they find somewhere in the middle. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And then just say he's going with that and you pay that, like, then you think then, like, he's a winger, is he, he? Or the midfielder. Centre forward. Centre forward.
SPEAKER_02Sort of flipped a bit of everywhere.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, then you wouldn't even keep Rashford. Can I just show you? Like, sure, doesn't like there's 70%, there's 70-something there, wasn't it? Like if you knew somewhere along the week, he's gone as well. Rashford's two years left. That's the biggest problem.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. If he was if it was he's not next summer, he could still be here. And he's getting his 10% bonus or whatever, 15% bonus. Exactly. No, no, I'm not surprised. No one wants you won't take a pay cut, and I don't blame him either. Like he's you know contract. Like if you really cared about it, it's easy for us to say just give up the money, but that's that's never gonna happen. So no club is gonna take him. And if he was out contract next summer, they might say, listen, it might take a bit of a hit now.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But in the long run, this is another five-year contract on 200 grand a week for Barcelona. Well, it's not the two years left. Yeah, so there's a lot of money there. As you said, it's not missing something.
SPEAKER_01As what you said a second, just totally million at least. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So er, yeah. So then then the last bit before I suppose before we go on to the big rash for thing, I suppose. Sort of news slash transfer News United's women's team have a new manager. Yeah. Uh Spanish woman. Oh, it's Ava older than I miss. I think she won the league in um Scotland, yeah. She used to read that before, yeah. So Celtic and Rangers win the league up there in the women's league all the time as well, and she was the fourth one in God knows how long to break the between the zero.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and she took the motor on the bottom of the lake. Five years from she brought them all up, and she she chat she must be. That's the difference.
SPEAKER_02The last manager that did that was meant to united then. So maybe she could be the same thing, but Spanish manager, so probably wish we were the best of hooking.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, look at Gail uh managing guys. I think it's like not that it would be sexy, just say, but it just seems about a fit, doesn't it? Yeah. But I mean it just does not really like them fair, and it's just saying, yeah.
SPEAKER_02So uh yeah, that's all our news slash transfer news. Like I said, the one I left out was about Rashford because I'm sure Sean has a question about him, and we might have a bit of a discussion about him. Might be the main topic this week. So people think, yeah. So we can start with the questions, but plenty of questions about Rashford. Yeah, you know, but I thought this one was uh well sort of worded, even though it's simple enough when you read it out. But if you think about it, you can answer whatever whatever way you want to. Um so I'll write back to everybody that uh I'll ask questions about Rashford. Like, are you happy with him? We've got a lot of questions we've asked that before, but this one's not surprised.
SPEAKER_01We shouldn't even be talking about just session may unit for you, isn't it?
SPEAKER_02Does Rashford deserve another chance at United, Mark Jackson? Oh it does.
SPEAKER_01No, another chance at United. Like um I would say no. Not at United, right? Now everybody deserves a second chance, should say, right? But he's had to burn in his bridge with the club, right? He was a part of the bomb squad, leaking stuff out, lazy on the pitch, never thanked United at all after all the years, should say, right? Went to Astonville, went to Barcelona for one season, he couldn't praise Barcelona enough. Did his utmost best with his comments to try and um nearly even blackmail or bribing him just to try and get them to keep him, you know, like and um I just think it's too risky. That's my personal opinion. We're all looks to commit if he's gonna be there and and and you obviously back him like like if you don't want the manager, you're gonna back him just say because he's the manager. So if he's there, there's nothing we can do about it. We don't know what discussions have gone on behind. Like he's like he obviously played with Michael Carrie for a couple of seasons, so Michael Carr reckons he probably can get the best out and on. But he'd want to sit down and have a proper discussion. And I'll tell you what he wants to do. If he's staying for United now and that's the way he's getting reinstated, he'd want to come out with a comment and fucking apologise in advance for the way he treated the club and all and and and the fans uh two years ago. Yeah, he needs to, and then he might get a little bit of respect back, but I still wouldn't want him back. But if he's back and he's got to be, obviously you have to back him and hope he starts going and all for United, and that's it. Yeah. I mean, but what do you think?
SPEAKER_02Um no, I don't think he deserves another chance. Um the press are gonna be all over him. If there's any mistake whatsoever, the press is gonna be all over him, which gonna put pressure on United, we're just gonna put pressure on Carrick, so it's a team that's already struggling. I know people say you're not struggling, we are, we're struggling 14 years. Bigger picture. Yeah, of course, we haven't won it to take in 14 years. What I will say is whether we like it, you like it, or you like it, or anyone listening likes it or doesn't like it, or whatever you feel, there's nothing we can do about it. Exactly. So we can't make things worse. If he's on the pitch and he gets booed, he's not gonna nothing's gonna change the fact. I think we need and it's strange, but I think we need to back him. Yeah, well if he finds us up again, then this isn't his own fault. Just don't make things worse, is what I'd say, and hope that God he does the right thing, and and I he won't do it, but if someone's talking to him, he needs to stay up with social media, just give that over, will you? Yeah, like just stop it. That'll prove that'll be as you said, an apology, only an apology. But if he deletes his social media, or just deactivating, reactivate, it's no problem. Yeah, I think that's what and and if it goes pear-shaped and something happens, or he's doing something stupid, or he's not putting in the effort and the media's all over him. I'm sure they've had this conversation. Just say he's injured and keep it out. Look, you've both I think that that's sort of the way I'd answer that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and you know what, Connor will have you saying in a second, right? Because I think some you'll write a little speech from and and and and because he can't be that intelligent the way he's had to been been living his life and all, like, like into Belfasting and all, and and and and like and the way like he's getting moved from one club to the other, and now he wants them. So something's similar in there that doesn't that that like in Barcelona didn't want them, right? Now, I think right, he needs to go to a bleeding press conference with Michael Cadig. Right? He does, and he needs to like he won't apologise because I don't think he'll be in to apologise, right? And he doesn't want to think that he didn't happen on to be apologising, but he needs to be saying something to the fans to get back on his side. He needs to C needs to say now we're at having good words, we're gonna have to sort this out now, and we have to go along with this now, and he needs to say something, he needs to speak uh Rashford to the fans and give it a uh press conference. So I don't know what you think, Alan.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah, so I don't think he does. Deserve a chance, doesn't it? Like you said, he's we're all fans. He's from Manchester. He should be playing Unite for free for the rest of his life. I know it's not as easy as that. Like to say, but he should be giving he shouldn't care about any other club or whatnot. He should be just playing United for free, and he should be feeling it worse than us because he can actually do something about it on the pitch. But like you said, he never gave a bollocks, sold under a couple of managers, yeah, didn't really care, didn't get on with Amrum. Like you said, he was a part of the whole Lingar. Ten Hag he didn't get around with him. He had a bit of trouble with him as well, didn't he? Yeah, all these sort of that crowd fucks off to Villa, comes back desperately around and go to Barcelona. Alright, he says he's never he'll never say anything bad about United. But not mentioning them at all as saying something bad about him, like when you're thanking Silence is definitely get back into the World Cup, thanks everybody for England, thanking everybody for Aston Aston Villa, everybody at Barcelona and United. Thank you Barcelona, you know. United's nothing like at all. So I don't think he does, but it's sort of a bit like everything else, like United not signed the players and all like they sign the midfielder, you just sort of had to have to accept it now at this stage. So he has he's given them the number. So they've obviously sat down and had some sort of a chat. And like you said, maybe Carnegie said to him, look at five fire place, and look, if he comes back and he scores 90 goals next season. Yeah, no, yeah, but like that's and he puts his effort in, I mean fair enough, fairly weak. He'll give the fans back. Yeah, but like I said, I don't think he'll come out and say, Oh sorry, I shouldn't have said this, or blah blah blah, this and the other. But at least he'll come out and be like, Look, just admit or acknowledge what he did wrong, more than that. It's like if he came out next week before the whole match and he's like, Look at me statement about thanking everybody, and I didn't mention United, look, I was wrong not to do that. I've been at the club since I'm yay seven years of age, whatever it is, they were the ones that brought me up. I won this, we've done that, we've done blah blah blah. Um almost like I guess how they shake your hands and move on.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. I'm absolutely delighted we can trail to be back playing with Man United and Michael Carrigan on and a whole lot and you said something, just anything that doesn't have to be apology, but you said it's a it's a nice way of apologising, it doesn't without apologising.
SPEAKER_02But then what Sean said then as well for us fans we have to be clever about it. The ones in the Sadium, particularly. We all know what Rashford is like, he throws his toys out of pram as easy as he can. So if he starts sulking and these balls are crosses are going out at corners and all this, it's just shy. Instead of the owner and uh doing all this sulking, you kind of have to jeer him up, don't you? Yeah, behind him and all like he's one of these players that doesn't take well the criticism. No, he can't be a main unit player, you have to back him. Yeah, we can't have that for a season because then that's just or like you said, if it is like that, Carrick is just gonna say, look at his back is injured again or his house three or something, just take him out. Like the the ball should be in United's court and more so Michael Carrick's court. He should have said to the Carrier, maybe they have, I don't know. They should say to Carigly, this is your situation to deal with. Right? If he's gonna stay at the club. You've been here, you've played when Rooney's tried to leave, you've seen that, you've been here when Ronaldo's tried to leave, you've seen all that. You know how Wade Ferguson dealt with these kind of situations in the past. So you deal with it. Yeah. Like you're the manager, deal with it, you play him when you think he's on form. If you think things are gonna be pear-shaped, take him out. Yeah. Do you have to be clever about it? You can't just like there's a dangerous player there though, isn't it? And I'd hate to see United be united and play him because he's on 350 grand a week instead of playing Dog, who's a young flip. Yeah. Because he doesn't earn as much. Or I'd hate to see him like push Q and up front just to fit Rashford back in and all this sort of stuff. No, do you know what I mean? Like, and again, it's another player that technically is a centre forward, but he can't play up front either.
SPEAKER_01No, he's not a centre forward. But he's like a new player because he hasn't played in 18 months or whatever, it's 20 months. Yeah, and then is it a cheap option for United? Yeah, they're not going to spend another 50 or 60 million on involved.
SPEAKER_02Like you said, Rashford will cost you 40 million over the next two seasons. Yeah. Just say. That's gonna be cheaper than buying something for 60 million or 100 a week.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you'd be talking about 80 million again in 10 years. Yeah, that's the way they would think as well. But it's but it's but you know what? Both parties are taking a chance. He's taking a chance, but he's not to deal with him because his contract is still there. It just put my United at a big football club, they should have dealt with this better. They should have never, we shouldn't even be talking about this. No, it should be gone, no. It should already be gone, should already be sorted out. And so you blame my United now. You don't really you can't really blame him, even though he didn't he turned his ties out and he wasn't tank united and all that. He's only trying to do something just saying to say, but I put 190% to the blame on my United. Whatever way they deal with the club and the players and all that useless. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02He said it last week didn't we about the young players that come from like your man Lacey now, Main, you know, they'd be the ones that we look at and think, right, in three or four years' time, are they actually at the fulfilling the potential? Or are they just having it torn out to be like the rest of them?
SPEAKER_00Like, well.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we'll see. Look, I mean we just had to get behind him if he is gonna say now there is like your man said earlier, there's three weeks left. What are we gonna do? Well, he could be gone. Yeah, so he might come in like looking for that one. There's always a prize or something like that. Yeah, that's it. Like I said, what if Leiden, I don't know, Lewis Diaz gets injured for does his cruciate in for Borough Munich. Would Borough Munich try get one alone for the season? All these little things you can it could happen.
SPEAKER_01Look, you never know. And always there's always a surprise, or a couple of surprises coming to the end of the window, isn't it?
SPEAKER_02So we didn't even touch on Mason Mount getting injured either. No, I can't even say his name. There's a couple of questions about him, it's similar to what we've had before. It's just we can talk about him then again, yeah. There was a couple of questions like Mason Mount injured again, the laugh of faces got a couple of things that was going back and forth with people. But all the same thing.
SPEAKER_01Well, we're laughing because you knew did somebody ask you a question last week, Sean, about um keep our get rid of, yeah, and he was going to get rid of it because we're saying it's like a physical stick. Yeah, the next friend he goes on.
SPEAKER_02Precautionary parents says, Would you go, Hey you will you? It just proves the ball to say something.
SPEAKER_01It doesn't matter, it's another injury got no matter what way you look at all the rest of the injuries. You can't be relied upon as another.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, is it definitely useful as a carboard canoe, that fella. Oh yeah, brutal hunt. Yeah, so I don't care how much of a nice person he is, I don't care. No, yeah, it's 200,000. It's just like for Ann and all here, and all these players keep getting injured and injured is just a chance. You said that we said it.
SPEAKER_01Rely, I said it you'll rely you'll need reliability, and he's not reliable. It's like Reese James or Shelty.
SPEAKER_02Reese James could be the best way back in the world. Yeah, he's a bigger impact when he does play though. That's the only thing. Make some good players, not great though. No, yeah. Well I know what you mean, though. Yeah, just injured all the time, isn't it? No good. Um Jason wrote into us, he says, What do you think of Tripera as a backup striker? For who the women's team?
SPEAKER_01He's not linked to us, but you said, would you? No, you can't get down that road. No. No. How do you get more established?
SPEAKER_02A couple of decent days for Ireland. Yeah, that's it.
SPEAKER_01Look, and he did well. Who's who did he play? Well, uh Alkmar's day. He says Alkmar over in Holland, isn't it? Should we go to something like West Ham? I think he isn't. Look he did well in fairness, like and he he re-re resurrected his career again, which didn't hit him for a while with his injuries now, and he and he did well for Ireland. And he could easily just say go to Race of Everton and West Ham, just say, but like in fairness to him when he was at the doing well, and he scores goals. Yeah, but we United needs something that's more established and better. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_02So I don't know where his head is at. Looks like he did throw it out of the corner, but he was a troublesome thing as well. Imagine you go to United through all that pressure and you play bad and you get in slate, it's yeah, you'll definitely leak something out of it. So he could be another problem. Yeah. I know that might sound a harsh, something might agree with me, but that's that I don't think he's good enough, really. Anyway, yeah, for a premiership, even I don't think he well, I don't know. Maybe get a game for Ipswich. I don't know. It's a very hard, fast paced. He's good players. I don't want to be shitting on the meter, like you know, but I think you should just yeah, you should stay in a like you should be playing at a championship, yeah, top centre forward in the championship.
SPEAKER_01I stay in Holland and go to a bit bigger team.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. But he'd be as good as him. No, no, I mean like he's not very very physical.
SPEAKER_01And look at you, look at Ipswich should say you've gone back to Ipswich and the lap left Emily went to um uh to Chelsea, didn't he? Now is he as good as him? No, no, no, he struggled with Chelsea to say for the whole season.
SPEAKER_02But person made a glass, so but uh yeah, no, I don't think so, Jason. But it just sounds a question. I don't think you either I think that was just to get us going.
SPEAKER_01From just chapters from the north and he did he's had to do well as well, yeah, but not good enough for you. Not good best time against them up, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, no, no, no, I think I mean say, but erm the guy I know was talking to me yesterday into us, so um Af May Adams' name is he said, right, he uh hates Arsenal as well. Did you remember Slu Hex in last season as well? Yeah, so he said to me, uh, so answer me this 30-year-old Casemiro, 60 million pounds and was added million and his add-ons and that he was overpriced and too old, right? At 30 years old. Bruno Aguemerais is 75 million and he's uh he's 29. He's and now he's a he's a bargain. So how is Casemiro too old and too expensive? And this fellow, I know he's Premier proven and all, and now all of a sudden he's only a year younger. People are gonna say he's 28, but he's 29 in November. So he's 29. So he's two months away, three months away. Um how is he seen as a great sign but and more expensive? I think Casemiro wasn't all the trophies he's won. I know what he's trying to say is is it a United tax again?
SPEAKER_01No, it's it's down to it because it's because it's Man United. Yeah, and you just want to put them put into paper, don't you? Yeah. I said I'd look a little different. Would you?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Um when Casemiro came in to United, he was coming in as he's has to he's gonna be our main failure. Like Groomer Eyes is probably gonna be in and out with Rice, isn't he? Yeah. Like Arsenal aren't signing him to be like, alright, he's gonna be your main man out in the next six years. No, because he's a bit power player at 75 minutes. 75 million, yeah. Oh no, take him, don't get me wrong. No, just to back the bite up and then like how old is Blayden Tanani? 26 or something, is he? 27. 26, 27. 26, yeah. 26, really. So he was what, 40 million more or something, 20 million more than Gilmaria's or whatever. Is he wore that for two and a half years older? Like, you know what I mean? Like I think he is. I don't know. I didn't think Casemiro was a bad price to be honest with you. No, yeah. It's just his wages that we're gonna write it. Yeah, but we would look at it as if Casemiro came in to be the main man, like something. I get you. No, that's a fair point. Yeah, but like people are seeing in even at the time in the Casemiro um came to be no resale value in him and all the other. What do you think in three years' time you're gonna sell Brennan Game Rice for 100 million?
SPEAKER_01We just give it all. You're buying you're buying for the for the two couple of years that you haven't, he's one of the best players in the world.
SPEAKER_02It looks rather sort of one is sort of coming from Madrid, so you just think uh Madrid I get rid of the players that's a downhill, and then one has come from Newcastle, yeah. So it's like a step up. It's a good point, it's sort of a it's different narratives, isn't it? Yeah, all these two.
SPEAKER_01But then people say come here, and it's everybody has opinion, and you you you that if you're ever leaving Real Madrid to go to anybody, you'd be only leaving them to go to you certainly wouldn't be going to Barcelona because you would that doesn't happen. So you'd be only leaving Real Madrid to go to Man United, or you'll leave them to go to Boy Munich or you pick Liverpool. Anyone else after that, then you are going down here? Yeah, obviously, but obviously to Madrid just say, right? Whereas you said, like like Tanali was just saying uh like for Spurs and Himmeris and and and they're going to from Newcastle, like if you're going to the art and it's a step up. There is a step up.
SPEAKER_02I mean then I suppose you look at all of them and you think, like when Casemiro came to United in a year's time his legs were nearly gone, yeah. Yeah, so but in in a year's time will his legs be gone. He doesn't look like that type though, does he? No, we've probably made exactly. That's not how long ago, was it? Well when did Casemiro sight United three years ago? Yeah, it was a year, isn't it? Yeah. So I thought it was about four or four or five for some reason. I don't know why they thought you stared laden since like twenty twenty one or twenty-two or something. No, he's not that long there. I know Ten Hag signed him already, didn't he? Yeah. Um whenever Anthony came in.
SPEAKER_01He signed him at uh at the end of the window, wasn't it?
SPEAKER_02Um yeah, that's 2022. 22, four years here. So four years. Yeah. August 2022 when you left in Jones. Yeah. He had a good four season and it was. Wonder how much he cost you night in total. What was he on? 300 grand a week. Yeah, he's done a lot of money. What's that? 50 one, 50 that's 200 weeks to say. 2004 weeks by what? 300,000? Yeah, there is a lot, isn't it? Yeah. Slightly. Um Shay Ryan does the guy called Shay. Dark horse for the league this season. For the league? Jesus Christ. Dark horse for the league this season. Chelsea get a right, he could. Chelsea might get a week. But they could fucking fall apart and come 11th. Yeah. Or they could like if you look at their squad, like you said, if James and all that said fit. Casey or Fernandez. Power Power, wasn't he? Rogers, Neto. Like Joe Pedro. But do you know have a squad that could challenge us just they got all this? They're all a bit mad, haven't they?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, they fit them all and make a walking on. Like, isn't he? Yes. Like your man, C be dark host or deleted. I'm gonna put United in. Don't care. Fair enough, yeah. I think they've as much a chance as anyone, do they? That's like it's actually the loose, isn't it? If you could say 'cause even Liverpool and are in no great shape, so they haven't done loads of work out and then and the players say lost and like they're only as as as as they were last year as well.
SPEAKER_02Chelsea. Chelsea, yeah. Yeah, I think Chelsea. Because even you look at the lights of just say Villa, Newcastle, like They've lost players and stuff. Obviously, the middle sort of clubs aren't as well. I don't think sports either. Last year I had Isaac Top Scorpio. We're all saying Liverpool already. Yeah. Go on, Isaac. Thanks, Alashay. So er when will our when will sorry, when will your predictions be up from Adam and his name is? So the league starts what Friday week. So sometime next week I'll put them up. For the rest of this week we'll work on them ourselves. A new pair will send them over to me and I'll take them up on Instagram again like last year. The only difference being we won't have a World Cup prediction. If only one of us got a right. They're right up.
SPEAKER_01Alright, ladies. Might have shit in the hill tomorrow night. Yeah, right.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so next week we'll have our predictions up for it. That's grand. Early days, of course, but who out of the newly promoted teams is most likely to stay up from Giovanni?
SPEAKER_01Well, I'd say commonly Frank Lampard is still the manager, wouldn't he? Like so the fans like and um do you want the egg? Yeah. Didn't he like so? No, we didn't say that. No, like it doesn't know it's wrote that way. Well switch. And it's the long time since they were into it.
SPEAKER_02Just because they they were there before, like, shall we? Yeah. Like a couple of years ago. We look we give our predictions next week to say, but I have a feeling Hall might get 12 points or something this year. Like, I'm not listening. Like the lawyer's surprise. Apologies. No, but any Hall fans listed. Surprise everyone or finished and finished 11th or something. They'll go down as one of the worst teams ever.
SPEAKER_01Look, you only spent 23 million. Yeah, that's pretty much. But there's not a lot of money, and and that's getting seven new players in. I mean, sure you're talking some of them players that probably free agents and all to say, right? And um, but look, it's it's massive ass for for Hull now. We know they won the playoff and all like to get up, you know what I mean? Like, yeah. But um, and then the manager is a Bosnian, so he's gonna know much now get about getting into the premiership and all. I mean like what's his name? Was he not here before? No, was he who was he? What's his name in the Premier League before, no? Sergey, Sergey um um here we go. Jedi Jakovic.
SPEAKER_02I think I'd have Google it while you're not just parking away there.
SPEAKER_01But look at you lost it, come here. You lost Frankfurt and a friendly dude at ATO Nil. So that's not a great shape either, is it to be gonna do it like like so Hall, I don't think have any chance to tell. Sorry for all the whole fans that's listening. Don't you quick? But look at Covenantry with Frank Lampard had a good season last season. He like and look at they're the same like when he spent 86 million. You know what? They'll take points off to be teams. Like you see them winning at the Emirates and winning at Anfield or all trappers here, wouldn't they? Look, look, they played the Spaniards the other day and they beat them three ones. I mean, was any win like like like coming to the start of season? And they were in good fashion too. Yeah, but he Connor said even Ipswich. Ipsy spent a hundred million on players. You look at United's fucking miserable thing, and Ipsy spent a hundred million on players, and they they got in like about ten new players. Now a few of them were obviously free age as well, but he spent a hundred million. I mean, like you played three friendlies and you won the trade, I mean. Fair enough, yeah. Like they didn't haven't lost the friendlies, I mean that's good.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Well, he was linked to the Brentford job after Thomas Frank left for the hall, but no way.
SPEAKER_01And then Carbow Cup um draw was out as well. They said the other time Ipswich.
SPEAKER_02As soon as he got knocked out, thankfully we won't be getting knocked out with them as you.
SPEAKER_01They're playing uh Plymouth. And I'm like, there you go, just say right. And Hall I think are playing uh Glenmore Celtic. I'm not giving Hall much help, am I? No, sorry, I don't think. So um I don't give a whole I'm playing. You know what I mean? Ah I that's I I yeah, I don't know.
SPEAKER_02I think he might be battered, unfortunately, for Hall. But so we'll see how we go. Thanks for that, anyway. Thanks for writing in there. Um Jose Mourinho now, has you see that? So Jose Mourinho reveals that he almost succeeded Alex Ferries at United. What he was making that Jay Ryan to was.
SPEAKER_01I would have been happy. Obviously, like you said, the Miles was out, right? Like the came with the Miles under Alex Ferguson thing, but like Alex Ferguson didn't leave a great team, but and and he didn't really back Miles like you remember that. Um they got, wasn't he? Yeah, yeah. And um but if Mourinho would have come in as as as as as the manager, like like they'd have to back him because he'd have he'd have wanted back him. Yeah. And he would it would have been a better fit. Like they needed a world-class manager like after after Alex for Hegerson, like somebody that would have been able for the pressure may united after winning after being so successful and all.
SPEAKER_02So I mean like yeah, no, it would have been good already, wouldn't it? He would have been in his prime, wouldn't he? But he might have been able to get more old board and something I'm thinking now. I think you'd have them yet. You look at it, wouldn't have no for an answer. He wouldn't have got Mario Velani and that's it, not a chance. No, I mean look at Moyes and when you taught them they were they nearly signed Bale and you nearly signed Modric and Fabry Gas he wanted as well. Yeah, Brini would have got them deals over, he'd had to chat on it and he'd have made sure Tony Croce as well. Wasn't that on the Bergerson theme? No, wasn't he at the time? Yeah, and Doske, I think, was he another one? Possibly, yeah. So yeah, I'd say he would have definitely got those players over. I think that's a big shame. I didn't know that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, us as Man United fans, well, look at my never know, but us as Man United fans would have probably picked him. We might have been I can't remember now, but I'm sure we'd have been thought we'd been saying, Jesus looked at Mourinho, you know what I mean? But actually shocking a point, wasn't it?
SPEAKER_02Jesus Christ. Yeah, very bad. Really bad now, and that's set us off since then. We haven't recovered. No, that's it. No, we brought Mourinho in since then, but should have played him clothes on his knees. Yeah. Still sort of is in many ways. People forget that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, like all them big wages and all. Well, we're always saying about players. Like, if a player comes with a hundred million and and and and you think he's gonna you still have to take a chance to get them. You can't be judging from the past either. So I mean there's good players out there, and if you need to pay the money, pay the money. Can't be all bagging bleeding boys and hoping that they're gonna do well. I hope you do. And they can prove it's wrong. But the likes of Anderson Antonali, they shouldn't be down there with them. Not pulling out just because the price is too big. Ferguson years ago, what can't purpose? Broke world records and British records and all to get players in. You still should be doing it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, definitely, yeah. Um I suppose before we go, to give a bit of a good look to the old Irish teams in Europe. A couple of them playing, Rovers are playing on tours. I've never actually heard this thing. Ignatia. They beat them 3-1 last week. Yeah, now they go with the highlights. Yeah, so if they win, they go into like the last round of the playoffs for the Europa League. I'm pretty sure even if they lose that, they went to the conference. Yeah, we might get to it, which is good. So it's great. If I'm correct in saying that for the team itself to travel around Europe and that, you know. Yeah, well, we go into the Europa League league stage.
SPEAKER_01It's big money. Oh, yeah, they could be playing decent teams, like what I mean. Yeah, and every game and every point, and every if you get win, but if you can, we get some money. Don't know. How are they playing Shellbourne? Don't know. Disrespect to Shellbourne. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Am I right in saying that? Yeah, it's the next one.
SPEAKER_01It's not the second match.
SPEAKER_02I'm not making a massive mistake here, am I?
SPEAKER_01No, they're going down wrapper. What's the score from the first match?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's 2-0 for Oyax and they're playing in Talga Park to say, right. There'd be plenty of Dutch football today and tomorrow.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we can't be a Shellbour fan of rare job, and he said the keeper had a great night of Shellbourn, and he said Oyak should have won. 3-1, I think, was it? Ojax should have won 10. 10 0, he said he should have won. Yeah, yeah. That's in the conference league. Yeah, that's what I mean. Yeah, what happened to the conference league?
SPEAKER_02Oh, it's just back to Shellbourne, appearance. That's just the way Irish football is. For a team that won the European Cup and all years ago now, like when the Litz played for them before the young. Yeah. That's bad.
SPEAKER_01Under Ten Hague. Van Beek.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, Van de Beek. We got platinum. He's back playing football. Back fit again for what's he's playing in Spain, is he?
SPEAKER_02I can't remember where he's playing.
SPEAKER_01Fat Fatty. Fatty Man Mansion. You know, it's fucking tattoo we should be playing for. Fan der Beek. Yeah. Fan de crap.
SPEAKER_02And then the last ones then both are playing a tough one. Mitchelland. They lost 2 0 a hole. They're losing 2-0, so. You'd expect Michelin to win, but we're looking at now. You might be a tough one. Yeah. You broke anything, it's just that one of them places. Bowers had the best chance, unless, like you said, Sheales can pull something off.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and then look at Comey, and you're talking about the League of World, and the teams here now. Water wouldn't they be Bowers of Bell the Week. That's a seven game for me, but then you could be well take moving everyone from that button. Yeah. Like so it wasn't a great result for Bowers going into a European Cup game of order, wasn't it? No, not really.
SPEAKER_02But er no yeah, that's it. I think I did think I don't think I have anything else to add. I know Pierce played Villa tomorrow, wouldn't he? We'd get a main match for any. We get a main match. The match is actually on ITV in England. Any the year is over in England, you can watch on ITV. For a change. Yeah, on that's good. They get in England, it'll be OTV like we get a United Age camp. Yeah, so anyone going to the match, enjoy it. Stay safe, enjoy a few points and the weather and whatnot. And then we'll be back next week. As we said, we've I'll put our predictions up next week. And in the meantime, we'll we should have new ones next Tuesday got the fancy football, shouldn't we? Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Get the cold out and we'll and hopefully another two new players will be Jays every week we say another week. So last week we said it, didn't we? Hopefully next week then we'll be able to talk about a new signing. We weren't weekend.
SPEAKER_02That morning at breakfast, and I said the sign of tenements.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, four weeks ago today. That's four weeks ago. 28 days ago today, yeah.
SPEAKER_02That's it, isn't it? Unbelievable. 28 days later with no one. Huh? Yeah. Well, look at we'll be back next week. Thanks for listening. Everyone around the world and whatnot. Hope you see enjoying. Follow us on Instagram and stuff. Thanks for rejoining us. Yeah, great coming on yet. Appreciate the feedback. Thanks very much. Yeah, we'll be back next week for episode 50. Very good.
SPEAKER_01Thanks. Go on. Bye bye. See you by
