Hello everybody, we are back with another episode of Hate to Rate, and I'm gonna try something new today. So I'm gonna be talking about 10 or so bands from different genres that don't really if they have an album, they have one album, but they're kind of underrated. So this episode is underrated and probably hated. So this is just to promote local bands from elsewhere, from other places, and just music I just caught on to and they aren't as famous. Let's jump right into it. So the first band I'm gonna go through is the band Feel. The band first began releasing music independently in 2021. Over the next few years, they steadily built a following through social media, eventually ranking up over a hundred million views. And their music is kind of like a calm 70s to almost like a 90s Led Zeppelin almost, I would say. But it's like a calm, calmer hair metal type of thing. So this will go into like a hair metal category. Um let's get started on their music. So I'm just gonna go with all the songs they have. And the first one is Goodbye Virginia, Coral Creek, In the Garden, Summer Song, that one was recent, July 3rd it came out, Call It What You Will, Poem 59, Hands in My Pocket, Twice Alive, BC, Find a Love, Icarus, Fly Birdie Fly, A Song for Sam, Brother, Better Days. They actually have a live album I'll get into. So 2026, live at Delmar Hall, with songs on it like Twice Alive, Coral Creek, Icarus, Fly Birdie Fly, A Song for Sam, Poem 59, Goodbye Virginia, in the Garden, and Find a Love. This was Fuzzy Warbits Fuzzy Warbitz. Okay. And the songs I chose is Coral Creek in the Garden, Twice Alive, BC, Icarus, and that was it so far. I wasn't a big fan of their live stuff. But they're also having an album, I believe, in August 26 or something like that. Um, let's just get the butt rocks out of the way. A little hair metal. Next band I'm gonna go into is Gunshine, which Clay showed me these guys. So the band formed in Florida by a former New Year's Day guitarist, Austin Ingerman. Ingerman returned to Florida with a vision of stepping out of his role as touring hired gun, launched his own rock project. Okay. In April of 2021, the duo formed their frontman, Jordan Benson, a distant cousin of Elvis Presley. Okay. The band named their band Gunshine is a playful nod to Shine State, Florida. And these guys do have one album. It's just self-titled Gunshine with songs on it like Loud, Daylight, Live Free, Get Wild, Wall Said to Call, Feel Alright, Change Today, No Way, Play with Fire, Something Real, Meet You There. This was uh Groove Records the Fuel Music. And the songs I added were Loud, Daylight, Live Free Get Wild, Wall said to Call, Change Today, No Way, Playing with Fire, and Something Real. This was 2022. And they also have an EP which I'm going to get into. They have uh the EP isn't really named anything, it's just kind of a single palette. Shark Lounge featuring Michael Starr, Finite, Mayo Miley. Honestly, I added all three of the demo songs. They're really good. I can't wait for their new album if it comes down the future. So check out Gunshine. Don't forget to check out the band called Feel either, if you're into soft butt rock music. So going on, let's go with country. Joe Jordansen. So we started in 2023 with the help of Mountain Road crew, Joe Steadley built an impressive audience for his heartfelt and expressive melodic music, which led to millions of streams signed in 2024 to Atlantic Records. Ooh. That didn't end well for Oliver Tree, so hope he has a better outcome. Um he doesn't have an album, but he does have a few songs. Let's get into those. Big Enough Mountains, Don't Tell Allie, Spiralin' Down, Frost on the Pines, To a Beautiful Girl, Deeper Talks, Born to Be Broken, Come Back, You Deserve Better Boxed In Mama Hold Me Reason to Live Love Me Right Now In Stone Dead Woods Someone Has To The Addict and the Angel Sink Like a Stone Bet Money Cold There Starling Keep On Goin A Lot More Lows Than Highs Ain't Nobody Got Love So the Songs I added were Don't Tell Allie Spiraling Down To A Beautiful Girl Born To Be Broken You Deserve Better Boxed In Reason To Live Love Me Right Now Someone Has To An Addict and The Angel Cold There Keep On Going A Lot More Lows Than Highs Ain't Nobody Got Love And I Wan Get Shout Otto Bogart. Thank you For Recommending This Guy. So At the Age of 11 He started Playing Drums For his Dad's Ba Dive Bar. He also Thought He was the Coolest Kid In Middle School. For That He said Everyone would Go to Chuck E. Cheese over the Weekend, and I was playing at a bar with my dad. That's really cool, actually. Is there anything left on his bucket list as an artist? He wants to open up for Tyler Childish. He wants to tour on a big tour bus with his wife and kids. Basically what he says, but he's a really good artist. And I have another country. Waylon Wyatt. So Waylon Wyatt started releasing music back in 2025. And he has a bunch of demos, bunch of EPs. Uh apparently released all his EPs before earning his high school diploma. So that's pretty cool. Looks like he's from Arkansas. And he does have an album coming out. It's going to be out the 17th. So probably when this episode gets released, you should probably go check that out. I'll give you an update on it. But starting off with his songs, so we have OD, Arkansas Diamond, Box of Bones, Where Your Whereabouts, I'd Be Delighted, Jailbreak, Everything Under the Sun Riches to Regs, In Love and Melody, Smoke and Embers, Phoning Heaven, Dead Man Walkin' Don't Forget Stranger to Me Leave It Alone Sunday Supper But There Was a Time Back to Then Pretty Little Liar Old Habits Frostbite Sincerely Your Son Wishbone and Out of the Blue And his New Album That's Going To Be Released Is Called Dust Piles The Songs I added were O D Your Whereabouts Jailbreak In Loving Melody Smokin' Embers Phoning Heaven Dead Man Walking Don't Forget Strange To Me Sunday Supper Old Habits Sincerely Your Son Wishbone And Out of the Blue So yeah Please Check out Uh Wayland Wyatt And also Check Out Joe Jordan So I'm Gonna Go Into A Little More Popier Style With It Now With Brayden Bales He's from Toronto Is a Canadian singer Songwriter and Producer Wombines Raw and Revealing Lyrics Wreative Beats The Earworm Melodies Peppered Wblimatal Electronics In 2021 The Oakville Toronto Native Started Channeling At Low Lights of Hate Teens Into Therapeutic Indies Pop Songs He Kicked Off 2023 with a Massive Streaming Hronically Conscious Which Resulted In a Record Label with Griffin Actually Okay But He Doesn't Hand Out Now And He Does Hive EP Which Is Kind of Reol Actually One of the Songs On It Hits Re Well But I'm Gonna Go Into Olive's Songs So Fronically Curious FML Twenty Missed Calls Nobody To Show It To This Is Really Hard Me Myself And You You Lied Cinnamon Twist Hinge Skin Cells William Shakespeare R O I Or Roy Glass House Everything Is Quiet Mr Hyde Hostage I Don't Wanna Know Fairweather Friends Heaven Again Pick Me Up I Write Songs About You Ashed Us Out Don't But I Do And The Songs I added Were FML Twenty Missed Calls This Is Really Hard Me Myself And You Hinge William Shakespeare Glass House Everything Is Quiet Hostage I Don't Wanna Know Heaven Again Pick Me Up Ashtress Out Um I'm Gonna Get Into His Live Album Or Live EP I should say With Songs On It Like FML Live from Santonio. This is kind of Funny Because When He Announces The Song Announces Whe Is He Messes Up on The City So It's Like A Big Fuck My Life Kind of Moment Nobody to Show It To Live From Portland This Is Really Hard Skin Cells Live From LA Hinge Live From LA This O'Cool Too Cause He had In the Middle Other Song He had Everyone Tell A Story of The Bad Hinges And Song It was Kind of Cool William Shakespeare Live From LA And This Was Lunchbox Records So this Next Band Or I Should Say Pop Band It's More Pop Indies Is Uh I'm Really Excited For This One Public Works An Indies Rock Project Based Out of Ocean County New Jersey Originally Started As a Solo Project By Musician Jacob Dirich The Project has Quickly Evolved into A Powerful Full Band Experience From Live Shows and Records Their Music Blends Raw, Emotional, Lyrical and Classical Guitar Work with Modern Emo Revival. I don't know about That It's Kinda It's M, But He is Giving It More of A Rock Style As He Goes. Singer in the Band is Jacob Dirich. So This Guy has all a pretty much whole lineup on his instruments. It looks like record label status. He signed to Hopeless. It doesn't really like say when he started, but the earliest song I'm seeing is 2023. So I'm gonna probably stick with that around there. The first song I heard from him was actually I was scrolling through Facebook and I seen like a white knuckle in his middle of I don't know what you call a rap breakdown. It was kind of like that. A hook, I think that's what it's called. But it was really cool. It was really kind of funny too. He talks about like locking him out of the house. He's like, we changed the lock, we changed the doors, we took the doors out. You can't come in. It's like, dude, he he took the doors out, and there's a fucking hole there. But anyway, it's kind of hilarious. Probably my favorite song he does actually. And he recently came out with a new song, but let's go through his song list. So first song on there is White Knuckle Cores Drywall Long Island Extended Bar Spin Long Island Hate Who You Love In the Pines Dog Cause I Got A Dog No, goes something like that, but he would rather have a dog than a girlfriend. Uh Fight Wash My Hands County Mall I'm having fun with my friends Hollywood Girl named Tyler Teeth That one was kinda sick That one's more of a Rocky song Broad Shoulders Mattress Pocket Knife Cheat Codes That one's a cool one I Hate This Holiday Hands and Genuine Best Christmas song Um and the songs I picked White Knuckle Cores Long Island Extended Bar Spin Hate Who You Love In the Pines Dog Fight County Mall I'm Having Fun With My Friends Hollywood Girl Named Tyler Teeth Pocket Knife Cheat Codes and Hands I'm really Excited For This Guy To Make An Alb I Don If He's Gonna Blow Up Like I Don't Blow Up Like Post Malone But I'd Keep An Eye Off For This Guy He's Reinted Yep So Definitely Check Out Public Works and Brandon Bells So Let's Go with a Little Rock Section With A Rock Section We have Interleaved And I Couldn't Tell You If This Is Still A Band anymore But New Orleans LA Looks Like The Earliest Stuff is 2023 And they Jot Music To 2024 So I Looked Up If They're Still Together And Google says Yes The Rock Band Interleave is Still Together So It Looks like They're Together They're Juring Looks Like So They Haven't Really Made Any New Music I Really Like To Hear Them Come O'Withum But Let's Go Through Their Songs So their First Song Is Pulling On That Thread And then Confessed This Uh Features Clint Lowry in it Sounds Fucking Sick Too And I think The Best Song Is Hold On Me. That's probably Yeah, That's Probed Song Is Hold On Me. And then Time Will Tell The Songs Ided were Concede, Featuring Clint Lowry, Hold On Me, And Time Will Tell Honestly I'd Add The First One It's Just Kind Too Slor for Me. But I Can't Wait Till Thyscome With An Alb. It's Gonna Be Pretty Monstrous. This Might Take Over A Lot of Radio Views If They Stay Together, But Hopefully Interleave Stays Together. And Then For Next Rock, I'm Gonna Do Like A Rock Grunge Almost. I've been Kind of Low Key Obsessed With These Guys And they Barely Honey Music To I think They have Like Four Songs They're Called Visitor Coach. Wow, I shouldn't have been Surprised, But Visitor Coach is a band that's from Seattle, Washington. But these guys are like Nirvana with like a heavier feel to them. It's really cool. Wow, there's not too much details of when they started. They probably just formed recently. I mean, based off their music, it's like 2025. So it's safe to say they probably started sometime last year. Uh with songs on it like Mr. Myers, Bullet in the Sun, Forget, and Train Wreck. Oh, they got rid of it. Okay, there was another song on there. I think it was like SOM or something like that, but it was pretty punky. But uh the songs I added were Mr. Myers, Bullet in the Sun, Forget, and Train Wreck. These guys are awesome. I can't wait until these guys have an album. Like, I'm low-key addicted to these guys. I think I listen to these guys a lot and this other metal band that I'm about to bring up. But anyway, you guys should definitely check out Visitor Coach and Interleaved. So let's step in some Metal Realm with Broken Vows. I couldn't find much on him either, but it looked like he started safe to say this year or even possibly last year. I can't find anything from last year of 2025, but most of his stuff is 2026. He also does have an album. Let's go into his album, The Red Flag Season. And this is broken vows, with broken being with the E is actually a three. So don't get that confused. So it's B R O K three N and then vows. Uh so on this album it has everything you said, the Breakup Confession featuring Proclain Hearts, Blood on the Promise, Ghosts in the Hallway, Wait of Silence, STF, Shut the Fuck Up, Love It, Buried Alive, Silent Prayers, Cold Sheets, Until the Last Breath. This was Frostbit Collective Records. And the songs I chose were Everything You Said, The Breakup Confession, Blood on the Promise, STFU, Buried Alive, Silent Prayers, Cold Sheets. This guy's pretty good. He also recently just came out with another, like I won't say EP, two songs. 20 Forever, Stuck on You. This was also uh Frostbit Collective. So it's really good. Um New England-based metallic hardcore band. He is uh I would say more post-hardcore than anything. Okay, New England. This has a lot of potential, actually. I'm really excited for his next album. Like, I don't know. For this year, with underrated bands and everything that I've listened to, like these aren't the only ones. I had to like condense them down and just 10 of these bands. Um, I would say he gets the album of the year, honestly, for me. Yep, I would have to give Broken Vows. Definitely the album of the year with red flag season. That's just fucking sick for an underrated band. And our next band is Lost Souls. And when I started listening to them, they just only had a few songs. I think they had like three, I want to say. Three songs, I'm trying to think. Maybe the return. So when I listened to them, Childhood Died, My Soldier Rage, and The Return are like the only songs they had. So it was like kind of cool. Now when I went back to listen to them, they actually do have an album, a first album they released in April 18th of 2025. The album's called Lore, with songs on it like Existence Conflict, Like and Subscribe, My Soldier's Rage, Mosh Lord, featuring Ghost Inside, and Jonathan Bigell, Letter of Resonation, Remember My Name, Dopamine, Shallow Graves, The Return, Booster Packs, or Plastic Crack, Yes, Childhood Died. Honestly, uh, this was I think self-recorded. This was Lost Souls, yep. So that's probably a self-recorded album. But again, good metal feel to them. Talk about some obscure shit, but the first song I kind of heard from them was on Facebook, and it was they do this like animated cartoon thing almost like fucking metal occlip. So I've seen a video of that with my childhood died. And honestly, this was about Star Wars and how Disney sucks at doing fucking sequels to it, and they do, but it was just kind of like putting it in perspective. Like I waited 30 years for something to not really happen. It was really cool. Please check out Broken Vows and please check out Lost Souls. They're really good metal bands, and I really think they're underrated, underappreciated, and honestly, I think at least one of them are gonna blow up, become very popular, in my opinion. But yeah, I hope do you like this? This has just been an episode of Underrated and Probably Hated. I'm your host, Kyle Nelson, and have a wonderful day.
