Most people don’t fail because they lack ability.

They fail because they’re afraid to make the decision.

In this episode, I break down the real reason fear keeps people stuck — the fear of starting, the fear of making the wrong move, the fear of failing.

It’s something I’ve faced personally.

And it’s something I still face today.

We talk about:

  • Why fear shows up right before growth
  • Why indecision is more dangerous than failure
  • How fear disguises itself as “logic”
  • The mindset shift that helped me move forward
  • Why success hides behind discomfort

Fear doesn’t disappear.

You just learn to act anyway.

Okay, in this episode we're gonna talk about one of the most important topics that out there that everybody goes through but very few understand, and that is fear. What do I mean by fear? Fear of making the wrong decision. When you're starting a business or getting into real estate, and we'll keep it more related to doing something outside of the norm. Like I'll talk more about like my personal experience with it and how I overcame it because I see a lot of new people really want to get there, really want to do the things, but the only thing that's stopping them is fear. And here's how I overcame. I wouldn't sit down here and tell you I just packed my stuff when I was 20 years old and moved in a country and I wasn't scared. You know, when I decided to leave my full-time job, I wasn't scared. Or when I make these big decisions of hiring or taking a job that I wasn't sure that I can do yet. Every single time I've made these decisions, there was fear. I've learned how to feel fear and act anyway. And I've learned that from stoicism, different books, you know, different mentors, and just from looking at past experience, but every single time I've chosen to act with fear, at the end, I was very glad I did. I'll talk about very recent job decisions first. And um, some of them was to take on a bigger project than we should, than I thought at that time we could deliver. So there was hesitation, there was fear, but at the same time, I thought this is the same exact feeling I've always felt when there's something challenging or bigger. But when I pass it, it's worth so much more than the result it brings because you can trust yourself to take on bigger steps. So, what I did in the beginning is I took it step by step. A lot of the times I understand that fear usually happens from thoughts in the mind. What if this doesn't work out? And I always tell myself, if it's not, I'll figure it out. Immediately that reduces the fear or the anxiety or whatever it is. And life is so much better when you're out there at least trying, giving it your best you got. And if it doesn't work out, but I've done everything in my power, guess what? Then it is what it is. I'm not worried about it then. What I really hate seeing is so many people with a lot of potential, nothing's stopping them. Maybe they had a better background or financial background, or at least they were born in this country, or understand financial systems, and have all the support they have, but the only thing that's stopping them is fear, and then they give up. So that's why fear is such a huge roadblock for success. A lot of people stop. What I mean by success is just something you want to accomplish. Circling back to real estate. A lot of people want to get in real estate, but because of fear, they will pass good deals because they weren't sure, or maybe I'll wait for the next one that's easy. Guess what? How many people are waiting for the easy ones and then how many people are not wealthy? But if you take on the challenge, calculate it smartly, that's where the magic happens. If you have fear, and I told myself that fear of failure should never exist because failure is a guarantee. You're gonna have to fail before you succeed. So the fear should not be about failure because if you never quit, then you haven't really failed yet, right? You just found out a way that doesn't work. Think about that. The only thing that you should be afraid of is yourself stopping, right? But there's nothing. What is gonna happen? You got into a deal that did not work out, you've done your part, you figure out a way, maybe find a way to be like, okay, if that didn't happen, then what? So, how to deal with fear when it happens? I would say look at the situation you're in. You wanna get into real estate, you wanna leave your nine to five. What if this does not continue? I've been with this company for eight years, working for them. I get a paycheck every two weeks. But if I leave and my business doesn't go on, what will happen? That is fear. And guess what I told myself? I'll go Uber, it's not the end of the world, it's not gonna kill me. I'll go do whatever, right? But I was like, it's not gonna fail. I'm gonna give it my best. I trust myself to give it its best. Same thing in everything. You know, you go into boxing, you might get okay, I'll get beaten. I was like, so what? You're not gonna die, but you're gonna challenge your best. You're gonna challenge yourself to become the best, and that's where all the difference happens. So understand that there's nobody that has no fear, but successful people learn and know how to deal with fear and still make the right decisions, even when fear exists. So knowing that I have helped me make a lot more bigger decisions that I thought I could not make because of fear. So I hope that helped you. Keep that in mind, and when you feel fear, act anyway. And if it's not gonna end you, and if it's not the end of the world, it's just normal to feel that feeling because it's something new. It's supposed to feel scary.
