Now he'll renew us. Praise the Lord. Amen. I want the Lord to have his way in service today. Amen. We need to pray for Sister Jessica Motley from the church here. She's in the hospital. And so I would like to have special prayer for her as we start service this morning. And she just recently, little Mariah was just born last week. And so she's having some additional complications. And I think everything's okay, but let's just pray that God will help her, okay? She needs a touch from the Lord. Amen. Anyone else have a special need this morning you want us to pray about? Amen. If you do, we'll take this time. Amen. Alright, let's stand. And Billy, you got a request? Alright, pray for Billy's families. Let's pray. Amen. As we open this service, Lord, we thank you, Lord, for the privilege to be in the house of God this morning. Thank you, Lord, for the privilege to be in the sanctuary, Lord. I pray that you'll help us this morning, God, in this service and that you'll have your way. Pray that everything we do will bring glory to your name, Lord. I pray that your spirit will have full reign in this house today. I pray, God, that you'll touch those that need a touch. Maybe somebody here needs a touch. We ask you, Lord, to touch this suggestion there in the hospital, Lord. Regulate all the things, Lord, in her body. I pray this magnesium and everything. I believe you'd touch her, Lord. I pray, God, today. Let her feel the touch of God, Lord. And I know that you're able. We believe in your healing power. We know that prayer knows no distance. Hallelujah. If you're able to go right there right now and touch her, Lord, today, I pray, God, that you'll help us, Lord, to worship you. Glorify yourself among us today, Lord. Let's sing that song. Hallelujah. Some of these days are going on. Pray the only prayers. Would you just raise your voice and let's ask God to help us today? Father, we thank you so much. I pray right now that you can honestly preach. I pray, God, that you would let faith rise in this house today. Do something great today, God. I pray that you would do the miraculous around this altar. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. And amen. Praise God. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. And I want to talk just a little bit about prayer. You talk about prayer. You think it's just YouTube, but I guess maybe alcohol in my church. They think it's just one of the two subjects that's a little uh boring and everything, but I think prayer is very important. I know you need to have a prayer life. So many folks have treated nothing more than just a religious ritual. There's something you do maybe before a meal or before you go to bed or maybe at a special occasion. And it seems like a lot of times that when it comes to our prayers, there's not a lot of passion, there's not a lot of urgency, and a lot of times there's no expectation when it comes to our prayer. It's just like hollow words that's wrapped up in habits or something that we just, you know, uh, maybe like leaving a voicemail to somebody that you really don't care if they actually answer the phone or not. You might know what I'm talking about. But how many knows prayer is more than just a religious ritual? More than just rehearsed lines or bedtime formalities. Prayer was never meant to be a ritual or a routine. Prayer was never supposed to be quiet. It's not supposed to be some solemn reserved moments, but I believe that prayer is the soul opening its mouth in expectation.

It's a cry from our hearts. It's a place where our tears sometimes can speak louder than our vocabularies.

The Bible talks about praying with groanings which cannot be uttered. It's not about pretty words, it's not about routines, but it's a place. Prayer is a place where you can be raw, you can be real, you can be unfiltered. It's a place where you can just come as you are. Now listen, I understand there's times for reverence and different things like that where, you know, a spirit of prayer can enter into a service, and you need to be reverent and still and know the power of God. But reverence is not the same as reluctance. Being still doesn't always mean you have to be silent. If you read your Bible, you will see something that prayer is rarely a quiet, amen, uh, uh, a quiet thing. It's crying out, it's effervancy, it's a passionate thing. I read a quote a year a while back that I thought really just um it really spoke to my heart. And it just simply said that if volume revealed priorities, our prayer life would expose us. If volume revealed priorities, our prayer life would expose us. How many knows a lot of times that we can be loud in everything but prayer? We can be loud in our opinions, we can be loud on our social media platforms, we can be loud when it comes to arguing with somebody, but when it comes to prayer, a lot of times we just become, we can become timid, we become quiet. I I remember when I was a kid, it did not matter where prayer happened. The old timers, they they they would get vocal in their prayers.

You know, one of the most awkward things sometimes for me as a pastor is when you go into a hospital room and you maybe have some unchurched folks there and they want you to pray, and you begin to pray, and everybody in the room's hanging on to every word that you're saying. But I remember going in prayer rooms or hospital rooms with my dad, and uh, you know, it didn't matter who was there, he just began to pray and began to call upon the name of the Lord because vocation, never determined volume. Amen. If they needed to get a hold of God, they just lifted their voice and began to pray out loud. Nobody said, well, let's just be quiet so we don't disturb anybody. No, they began to pray so loud that they were disturbed, amen. Hell itself. Prayer wasn't just background noise, but hallelujah, prayer was a battle cry. Hallelujah. It was spurred. I think it's time that we get back to praying loud, bold prayers. Amen. A silent church will become a vulnerable church. Yes, it will. When prayer goes silent, the enemy gets bold, amen. When prayer goes silent, it seems like the enemy comes in and begins to rob us of precious things. He robs us of our young people, he'll rob us of our homes, he'll rob us of some good things. When prayer goes silent, the enemy gets bold. Amen. God knows the enemy in these last days is very brass. He's very bold in his approach. And I believe that the bolder the devil gets, the more bold the church ought to be in its response.

That's why the Bible would say things like, call unto me, and I will answer. That's why the psalmist would say this poor man cried. And the Lord heard him. Amen. Can I tell you sometimes the most spiritual things you can do is to lift your voice, amen, and let heaven know that you need help. Amen. That's why the writer said, Amen. When you come to God, you don't have to come to God with timidness. You don't have to come to God with hesitancy. He said, Come boldly before the throne of grace. I believe in this service today. You can come boldly before the throne of the grace.

And we serve a God that's able to do exceedingly. We serve a God that's able to do exceedingly, abundantly, is reading my thankfully we serve a prayer, hearing, and a pandering God. Amen. You know, we're in canesters now and we're trying to readjust the different things. And when my kids got married, I told them, if you ever need anything, all you've got to do is come and ask. And if I can get it for you, I will do my best. You know what? They've taken me up on that altar. Hallelujah. Maybe a little bit more than what I thought they would. I'll never forget we were preaching one time, and uh, and Drew and Lil had just got married, and I guess they needed some groceries, and my wife's always telling them, you know, Brother Brand, she said, if you ever need some, just get our freeze is your freeze. Our freezer is your freezer. Amen. That's dangerous when you have some beef in there, you know. And uh one one we was we was uh FaceTime them one night, and I kid you not, they took advantage. They had two black trash bags full of food, and they was taking it home, amen. Amen. Come on there, amen. But I really didn't care you know why. Those were my kids. I told them if you knew anything, all you've got to do is ask.

Come like you have a blood bot right to be there, because you knew, come like he's your father, because he is, come like grace is waiting because it is, hallelujah. When you need help from God, that's the moment to cry out like blind barness, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy upon me. Hallelujah. When the hell's throwing everything at you and you're trying to just, I told someone today, or I'm sorry, yesterday, I said, just maintain, just keep your head above water, keep just trying to survive, whatever you do, just keep your head above water, and they can I'll tell you when you're drinking water and you're just trying to stay afloat, hey, come on, that's not the time to struggle off in a torture somewhere.

They want a voice. They want to say what's on their mind. From social media to politics, from the classroom to the broadcast.

I felt like I'm gonna tell you today. Whatever you pray about as a pastor, you don't pray the whole praise. I felt specifically to tell you this not out of arrogance or not out of dust. But I just want to tell you it was back in 2019 when I was preaching on a Wednesday night. I said something publicly when I was in, I had been praying about privately. I had not shared it with anybody, maybe in my life. But I don't even know if I shared, but I remember. I walked across here when I turned. It came out of my mouth, and I said, I am believing that God in a year's time is going to save 50 souls with this altar. When I said that, it's like, man, my blood just went in my body. I began to like cold sweat. The devil jumped on my mind my ear and said, Boy, you really dumb. 50 souls in a whole in this church. Oh, that was September of 2019. At that point, I was already out in the middle of the river then. I had to start preaching faith. Can I tell you by May of 2020, come on now? 52 souls pray through at all altars or sound for soul.

The disciples said, when is this going to happen? When are you going to come back? When's we going to be the end of the age? All we've got to do is look. Amen. What's happening now? Amen. Listen to the news. Amen. The Bible said there would be wars and rumors of wars. I'll tell you what. We've spent money on top of money trying to have peace. They spend millions and millions and millions of dollars in the UN throwing it away. They might as well throw it in the ocean. Amen. And trying to have peace, but there's war. They've got NATO over there. Amen. That's all upset right now. Amen. Trying to have peace, but there's war even the high on the whole and the high. I'll tell you there's going to be a fulfilling of the word of God.

They thought they had eradicated measles and smallpox and uh all tuberculosis. You know there's all kinds of measles right now, you guys. Oh Mark is a lot of both of you. You have to get to have vaccinations. Amen? All we gotta do, amen, is sing all the word of God. Amen. You know, ask Jerry how many earthquakes there was in Yahweh's own last month. They're walking every month. All right. Amen. I was over through there a couple of years ago, and you can't even hardly stand some places because of the stink. Amen. Sulfur bubbling up everywhere. Amen. The Bible says hell enlarging itself. Amen. If you ever studied where hell's at? Do you know where hell's at? Amen. Hell's in the heart of the earth. When these volcanoes go off, when this stuff is enlarging itself all the time. I'm telling you, the Lord's a coming. The Lord's even coming. Praise God. I'm telling you, if we're right with God, that shouldn't be scary. That shouldn't be dreadful. Thank God, we shouldn't be welcome. We shouldn't be even looking for it. We should be praying for it, the Bible said. Come quickly, Lord Jesus.

But when the sun, God's going to turn up the thermostat on the sun. Amen. It's going to blister him. Scorch him. From head to toe. And the Bible said they'll still shake their fist at God, in other words. They'll still curse God. And it said they repented not of their sins. They repented not, amen. Amen. So FDR said, you gotta go. But he made a public statement. He said, I shall return. I shall return. He said. Amen. He put Jonathan Wainwright, General Jonathan Wainwright, in charge. Amen. Sure enough. And I'm not throwing off on any ethnicity right now, but the Japanese overthrew them, overcame them. And they took them on that horrible, horrible baton death march. Amen. Wainwright was with them. They had them in P.O.W. camps. But here they had propaganda coming out over speakers. How they was winning the war and how the Allies, Amen, was weakening, and how the Allies were about ready to surrender. And it was all lie. But they was putting that, amen, in the ears of those POWs every day. About like the devil doing somebody. Amen. Amen. You might as well surrender. You might as well give up. Gotta get over on the other side. But oh, amen, just a little bit. They sent a couple of frogmen. Anybody ever heard of a frogmen? That's what the Navy SEAL was before they was a SEAL. They were called frogmen. They did black suits, amen. And they they they dumped them out in the ocean miles. And they swam for miles in there at that P.O.W. camp. And they found Wainwright's tent. And they went in there while he was sleeping and grabbed his mouth and his eyes opened up. And they got him to understand who they were so he wouldn't scream or say anything. Amen. And then they saluted him and they said, General Wainwright, sir, came in. He said, General MacArthur sent his regards. And he told us to tell you he'll be here in a couple of days. They said, old Wainwright slept on his uniform that night. And he combed his hair the next morning. And he shaved the best he could. And they brought that old death ration, amen, slop for him to eat.

You've overpaid me. You've overdone it. Surely this is somebody else's prayer. Oh, praise God. Amen. When God revealed Abraham, he was going to destroy Sodom. Remember what Abraham's prayer. Brother Douglas. That was a ball prayer. He checked his life. He said, You will not destroy the righteous with the wicked. Then he said, Shall not the judge of all the earth do right? Abraham said, God wouldn't be right to destroy the righteous with the wicked. How many of us every time a country declares war on another country, what's the first thing they do? They bring their ambassadors on. They bring their people out. That's exactly what God done. That's exactly what He sent those angels to Lot. And they said, Lot, we're going to destroy this place. We've got to razz this place. We've got to destroy it to the ground. You've got to go. And that the Bible said that was Abraham's prayers working. Amen. But Lot lingered. Lot lingered. And the angels finally told him and revealed to him, we've got a mandate to destroy this place. But we've got a higher mandate than that. We've got a more amen higher mandate even that. We can't do nothing. Our hands are tied as long as you're here.

You don't get no planarnet. We're not appointed to wrath, but unto salvation. Thank God for our conversations in heaven, from which also we look for the Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior. Amen. Scripture after scripture after scripture. Praise God. Talk about it. Amen. In an hour that you think not is coming. I'll tell you the church ought to be watching, aren't we? Amen. We're not children of the night. We're not children of darkness. We're children of the day. We're children of the light. Thank God we ought to be watching for him and longing for him tonight. Oh, I'm dangerous. Amen. I heard Adrian Rogers a long time ago. I don't know what persuasion is, all that, but he said he was raised in uh St. Augustine, Florida. And uh when he was a child, you know, uh World War II was on. Which he's dead and gone on a few years after. But he said, and some of you may remember, maybe your uh people passed it down to you, some of your family, but living on the beach or on the shore like that, they had to paint the top half of their headlights black. They had to blacken their windows, they had to put dark shades over all their windows. You remember that kind of stuff, Brother Paul, here and that? And their street lights had to be all turned out because of the subs. Because of the German submarines. They couldn't, that you know, St. Augustine was a big city, and uh they had to uh try to disguise it, try to hide it, camouflage it, whatever. Amen. So those subs wouldn't attack it.

But the thing about the feast of trumpets represents the rapture. And there they, those Jews. You know, oftentimes they'd be working side by side with the Palestinians, whatever. But when that trumpet sounded, that believing Jew, they might be out in the field with a ranch. They might be in the garden with a hole. They might be working beside some unbelievers right there. When they heard that trumpet, they threw their tool down and they went to worship. That trumpet sounded, that trumpet sounded, Amen. It called off the work. It stopped the work. Amen. And it called for worship. It called for praise. That's what's going to happen at the trump of God.

But here come some Confederates later on and was about to overthrow the Northern establishment that had been left behind. Just a few had been left behind. I forget what fort it was, one of the forts there. But they had signaled to Sherman. He was back, he was on his way back up. And they said, We're about to be overcome. We're about to be overrun. I don't know if they had mirrors or smokes and whatever they were using. But oh Sherman, they said, signal back, hold the fort.

And, you know, the only thing I see holding that back right now is the church. When George Bush went into Iraq, all them European countries was trying to get each other to hold off and hold off. I think it was Operation Iraq to Freedom. And they knew what had happened in Kuwait and all that. But when he went in there, they were British fathers, not Messiahs. I mean they just go right in. They just coming from all of them European nations, but not this time. They won't do it. You've heard it recently, they will not. I'm telling you. Amen. It's getting close. Amen. And uh the nations are turning, and you know, I can't believe how some Christian people are uh turning against Israel. I cannot uh it surprises me, maybe I should say. How some people who are very educated and very conservative people, and uh some of them are strong conservative voices and have been for years, but they're turning against Israel. That is an end-time prophecy. And uh, you know, uh even some that thought, you know, they they didn't care about anything that our president did, they just loved him to death. Buddy, I'm telling you, they they started grocking about this war. And uh they're turning against Israel. And it's gonna happen. It's it's not about us no more. I'm telling you, the church is right on the verge. You know if the Lord come back and the church went out here just like, and I know I was gonna say this, that uh those two that was shot down over there just last week and they rescued uh my uh if you read uh about World War II, the church prayed. Even in uh, even in Wales, and and uh if you ever read that book, uh The Intercessor by Norman Grubb, and uh I heard Leonard Ravenhill, I was listening to an audio of Leonard Ravenhill, and he said, I met Norman Grubb. And uh Norman Grubb was CT State's son-in-law, but he wrote on uh Reese Howes. He wrote several books, but he wrote a book on Reese Howes, uh Intercessor. And if you read that book uh close to the end, it turns to World War II. Norman Grubb uh tells that Reese Howes had prayer meetings for World War II. I mean, they would find out um where uh war, where uh battles was going on, and they would meet and pray about that battle. Now Norman Grubb says that Reese Howes sent uh messages to the Parliament, the British Parliament, and he says that Winston Churchill uh would get those messages and direct some of his um some of his battles according to uh what uh Reese House said. He said, This man's such a brave man. Believed him even over some of his military intelligence. But I can't verify that though. You read that book and it's in there. And uh, but I was gonna say, we came to church, and some of these older sisters said, pray for that man over there. I have already, my mom already sent me a message, pray for that guy over there. She she told me, she said, Samuel, I pray for that man that was over there. Hallelujah. You know there's saints of God still praying. Hallelujah. Amen. And I'm gonna tell you what I believe. I know that America is in bad shape. Amen, but there's a lot of homeless people. Amen. And I believe they're God's people in this nation. I believe it. Amen. I know I might get people might kick back on me on that. I'm not saying we're the only ones going to heaven. I'm not saying we're the only ones saved, but I believe that we are God's people in this nation. I've seen people get sideways with the homeless people, and I mean it just seemed like it just seemed like it just messes their life up. And I've seen others go into scandals and they'll stick with the homeless people. And you let a little time ago, Lama, amen, and God be blessed on them. Hallelujah. I know y'all might y'all might kick back on me on that, but I'm telling you, I believe that the homeless people is God's people in this nation. And I'm gonna get an old song saying, I'm glad to be a part of the whole man. Praise the Lord. But, amen, there's praying people, and I believe. Unless a lot of times go time go by. I know churches are closing down all the time. I need it. But unless if if they come against us, amen, they attack us while we're still here. I'm telling you, there's praying people that's gonna win this wit. Hallelujah. I thank God. Hallelujah. Amen. But when the church is gone, praise the Lord, which could be today, when the church is gone, oh, you better not be here. Hallelujah. Young person, you better not be here. There will be that day.
