Bro. Samuel Snow preaching here on April of 2024. God Bless!!
Y'all might not know that I want to say Bethany Matthew. That is like that has been a couple years, brother. But so good to see them here today. What a privilege it is for them to come by. I don't even know if y'all knew whether I was still alive or not. Praise God. Alright, let's go to Job chapter 22 and verse number 23. If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up. Thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles. Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brook. Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defense, and thou shalt have plenty of silver. For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God. Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee. Thou shalt pay thy vows. Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee. And the light shall shine upon thy ways. When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up, and he shall save the humble person. Heavenly Father, we thank you for the reading of your word today, and we thank you for the privilege to preach your word. Lord, we ask for a touch from you. We ask for your anointing and your grace. Lord, we know that you're able to help us, and we rely on you today. Give us strength, Lord, and blessings from you, God, and help us as we pray today, God, meet every need in these altars. In Jesus' name, the church said, Amen. Amen. I would like to take that last phrase for a title today. He shall save the humble person. Amen. This here is one of Job's friends. Maybe I should say friends in quotations. They came to him. You've heard the phrase, Job's comforters. You know, somebody come in and they're there supposedly to encourage you, but I mean, before it's over, you feeling worse than when they got there. Well, that's where this comes from. Job had three friends that showed up. In the end, there was four. The Bible talks about Job was a mighty man in the East. As a matter of fact, the Lord said, Have you considered my servant Job? That he's a perfect and an upright man. Job was put in a trial that is confusing to his friends, is confusing to those around him. They assumed that he had sinned greatly before God, and God was judging him. They assumed that he had committed secret sins and hidden sins and done things that uh that was uh, you know, bringing this judgment, which was not the case. We understand that now. We know that now. I don't know uh what side I would have been on, you know, and uh uh somebody said, well, I wouldn't have been on no side. Well, I don't know about that. You know, we always seem like uh, you know, pick and choose. Somebody said there's three sides to every story: mine, yours, and the truth. Well, I think I agree with that most of the time. But anyways, here is this man, and I want to say this right here, even though uh when we read through the book of Job, there's just something special about when Job talks. And if we're and it's it's because, if, and it might be just talking about me, if we're not careful, uh, we'll go ahead and we'll do to those friends what they was doing to Job. We'll start pointing at them, saying, you know, because they really was wrong. But what they said wasn't wrong. They had the right message, they just had the wrong person. All through the book of Job. It's not that the things that they said was wrong, it's just the direction they gave to Job. Uh, it wasn't he was right with God. And so here is a man that's trying to uh tell Job he needs to get right, and Job was already right. And I now that's I call that disclaimers. Us preachers get up and we got these disclaimers, the fine print, you know, and most of the time it don't even matter. But I'm gonna preach from these verses, even though it was directed that way, because it is the truth that if we return unto the Almighty, we will be built up. Hallelujah. And uh he goes on to say, you shall lay up. God will bless. I want to preach about being established. Amen. My title is He Shall Save the Humble Person. Amen. I want to talk about being built up. Amen. Being established. Amen. Then he said, You'll lay up. He talks about blessings. I'd like to preach about God's blessings for a little while this morning. Amen. I do believe that God will bless his people. Amen. I believe that. Amen. And just because someone's rich does not mean they're saved. And likewise, just because somebody's poor don't mean they're saved. If that's the case, then our large cities is full of people who are saved. Amen, living on skin road. We know better than that, church. Amen. Many times this has nothing to do, but God does bless his people. And I would like to look at references in Scripture, amen, and try to preach about that. And then the last thing I want to preach about, amen, is he is he said, Thou shalt lift up thy face unto God. Now I want to preach about prayers being answered close to God and a love to God. And all of this starts out, Amen, if thou shalt return to the Almighty, amen, he shall save the humble person. If an individual man, woman, boy, or girl makes up their mind, even if it's on May the 5th, 2024, I'm gonna return to God. I'm gonna return to the Almighty. I can guarantee you a few things. God will build them up, hallelujah. God will help them and bless them, amen, and God will answer their prayers. He said, then, hallelujah, you're gonna say, when you see somebody else cast down, there is lifting up. Because you've been there, hallelujah. Amen. We understand that God didn't lift Job up in the end, he was returned, amen, and he was he received double. The Bible says he was a great man, he had many flocks and many herds, he was a blessed man, and God, amen, through the hands of the enemy allowed it all to be taken away. But before it was over, come on, church. Amen. Sometimes you just gotta wait a little while. Sometimes the story is not all written. Sometimes, amen, the pages haven't all been turned. Amen. People might throw stones, so to speak, amen, or might cast opinions like they was with Job. But before it was over, they had to change their mind. That reminds me about Paul when he shook that beast off in the fire. They said he's a murderer. They said this man was a bad guy, even though he escaped that storm. Amen now, amen, vengeance, suffering not to live. But Paul shook that beast off in the fire, and he felt no harm, and they changed their minds. I'm gonna tell you, God has a way of turning it around in a way where the opinion can be turned around. Public opinion, hallelujah! Amen. Woo! That's a bad court, the court of public opinion. I mean, you can be as innocent as ever. Amen. But the court of public opinion, amen, but the court of public opinion, amen, they had to change their verdict, hallelujah. The jury said we changed our mind. Amen. He's a God, praise the Lord. He was no God, but he had God in him. Amen. And God is able to do that for any individual and any situation that will return to the Almighty. Let's look at this established. He said, Thou shalt be built up. Psalms 40. We know it. Amen. I cried unto the Lord, and he heard me. He brought me up also, hallelujah, out of a horrible pit. I waited patiently for the Lord. He inclined unto me and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet on a rock. I'm talking about established this morning. Amen. Thou shalt be built up, not built on the sand, but built on the rock where the floods come and the rains come. And the Bible said, beat vehemately upon it. Amen. But it stood because it was founded upon a rock. Amen. He said, He brought me up also out of a horrible pit. Can I get a witness this morning? That pit of sin is horrible. Amen. Can I get a witness that pit of sin is miserable? Amen. But he'll bring us up and he'll put our feet on a solid foundation. He set my feet upon a rock. And many all he established my goings. Everywhere I step. Hallelujah. Everywhere my feet goes. Amen. My feet shall not slip. Hallelujah. I'm talking about being established. It shall be built up. A song put a new song in my mouth. Even praise. It's a song of praise. And it is a new song. Hallelujah. This is a song the world doesn't know. This is a song that the world cannot sing. This is a song that the angels cannot sing. Amazing grace. How sweet the sound. Hallelujah. Even praise unto our God. Many shall see it. Not only is it a foundation, not only is it established ways, but it is a song and it is a wonder to others. Many shall see it and shall fear. Hallelujah. And shall trust in the Lord. Amen. It's a wonder to others, and it is an example to others. I'm telling you, I believe what I'm preaching this morning. That if a person will turn to God with all their heart, with all their life, amen, God will build you on a foundation. The storms will quit washing your house away. He'll establish your steps. He'll put praise in your heart. He'll make you a wonder to others. Amen. And thou turn to God because of it. If thou shalt turn, return unto the Almighty, thou shalt be built up. Hallelujah. God will start a work in a person's life immediately. Hallelujah. And it will change everything. Colossians 2. Amen. And verse 6, as ye have therefore received of Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him. Rooted and built up in him and established in the faith. As ye have been taught. Abounding therein with thanksgiving. Verse number 8, beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit after the traditions of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth the ought dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power. Amen. Our text says, if thou shalt return unto the Lord, if you'll turn unto the Almighty, thou shalt be built up. Amen. We see in verse 6 receiving Christ. We see in verse 7 rooted, hallelujah, and built up. Praise the Lord. Amen. Rooted and built up. That tree that you see out there, amen, stands that wind you saw the other evening. That wind was blowing. Amen. And those trees. We just looking at some of those trees saying, oh man. Oh, but they're still standing this morning. What was it? They had some roots in the ground. Hallelujah. It was not just what we saw. I want to tell you something, brother. The storms of life may rage, the storms of life may whip around. But there's some roots that go deeper than what you see. Amen. I may be down, I may bend in the wind, but rooted and built up in him. Established in the faith. Listen to me, brother and sister. We're headed into the end time. I think we're in the end time. Amen. I remember my mom and dad preaching, amen, 25, 30 years ago, and never dreamed that we'd be alive and going on in 2024. But here we are. Amen. There's all types of sin and wickedness ruining and reigning. Amen, but we can be established in the faith. I'm talking about knowing what I believe. Amen. The Apostle Paul said, I know who I have believed. And I am persuaded that he's not going to keep that which I've commanded under him against that day.
unknownIt's going to take more than a message. It's going to take more than a preacher.
SPEAKER_02It's going to take more than a new book for me to turn aside from the principles of wholeness and the principles of Pentecost that I've been taught since I was a child. I believe what the Bible says. I know people turn around. I know they say, well, I don't see it that way now. The Bible says the Spirit speaketh expressly. That in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. I believe that's in 1 Timothy 4 and 1. But it might be 2 Timothy. But, anyways, you can find it. But established in the faith. I know what I believe somebody can say. It doesn't matter if it's on the job. It doesn't matter if it's in another church. It doesn't matter if it's some new way. I know what the Bible. I know what God dealt with me about.
SPEAKER_03Hallelujah.
SPEAKER_02I know what the Lord told me. Listen, God's our creator. And He can minister to us like no preacher, like no family member, like no co-worker, like no old friend. Come on now. I love you, brother, but I know what God did with me. I know what he lent me in the book. Hallelujah. I know. Praise the Lord. I'm talking about this established in the faith. Hallelujah. And notice that he goes on to say, complete in him. We're not complete in ourselves, we're not complete in our own ways, but we're complete in him. Hallelujah. Those are the songs that the girls sing sometimes. It says, Everything you need is in the blood. Hallelujah. Everything you need is in the blood. I thank the Lord. Established in the faith, Hebrews 13 and 9, be not carried about with divers, which mean different. Amen. Divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace, not with meats which have not profited them that have been occupied therein. You know what it is? It's just an occupation. Amen. It's just an occupying. Amen. I'm telling you, amen, but I know. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. Stablished. Built that. Praise God. Listen, carried about. That shows instability. Believe in this one day and that the next way. God's not pleased. Help us, Lord. Come on. Strange doctrines, he said. That's how many you're talking about. Strange doctrines. Lord help us. Praise God. Not tonight yet. I've been preaching meetings. Thank you tonight. Remember when the B.P. Carroll was sitting there and a young man kept saying, tonight, tonight, he leaned over and said, He keeps preaching, he'll be right after a while. So just give me a little time, I'll be right. We'll have to miss dinner and all that, but strange doctrines, false doctrines. I was down there with my dad, and dad was telling me about this group, and uh I didn't even realize they've got some compound right there around uh McCurtain County and uh and all this, and my dad works for the funeral home, and they had one of them die in there, and uh they he had to go and pull it up to this gate, and uh they all come out there and took that body in there. I said, they ain't no way that's legal. Maybe in Oklahoma it is, he said. I don't know, but they they took that body in there, and and whatever, you know, who knows what it is. I don't know, but I'm not looking for some compound or cult to join up with. I want old time religion. An old time full gospel message. Amen. Where a preacher can get up and preach and say, go home and study it in the scripture. Go home and study it in the Bible. Go home and pray about it. I'm not afraid to say, go pray about it. You see, that's not where we have problems. We have problems on it.
SPEAKER_03Yep. Amen.
SPEAKER_02What do you think about this? Amen. What do you mean? What do I think about this?
SPEAKER_03I'm a mortal man.
SPEAKER_02Hallelujah. Lord help us, Jesus. How in the world am I getting off on this? But I'm talking about built up, established. Praise God. Old time religion. Amen. I don't need a new version of the Bible. Amen. Give me the old time King James version that was written for pure purposes. It was written not so we would understand, it was written so it would be revealed to the English-speaking people. Amen. What God's word said. Amen. It wasn't watered down or changed for anything.
unknownI'm talking about God's word. Amen. He said, Amen.
SPEAKER_02It's a good thing. Did you know it's a good thing? Come on, church. Help me preach today. I don't know if anything is going on or anybody said anything. Only thing I know is I've been praying, and I know what the Holy Ghost is dealing with us. And it might be something we face tomorrow, but one thing for sure, we want to be established in the faith. Knowing that we believe in salvation, knowing that we believe in sanctification, knowing that we believe in the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues, knowing that we believe. Amen. And faith and healing and the truth of God's word.
SPEAKER_03Hallelujah.
SPEAKER_02Praise God. I want to preach about blessings for a little while. And I never did look at that clock when I started.
SPEAKER_01Because Sister Abel sang, and I started it a little later.
SPEAKER_02So I had made a middle note. I'm going to look at that clock. And then I forgot to look at it. And so, you know, it might get a little later, but it wasn't going to be my fault. And I forgot to look at the clock. But y'all understand what I'm saying. I started a little bit later this morning, so praise the Lord. Blessings! Listen, thou shalt lay up gold as dust. Yea, the Almighty shall be thou defense, and thou shalt have plenty of silver. Listen, gain is not godliness. That's the doctrine of Balaam. That's the doctrine of covetousness. But you're looking at a preacher that believes God's word that He will bless his people. I believe that. Amen. You know the old Puritans, they were great. We get a lot of our teachings out of the old Puritan doctrine. And the Puritans was some of the beginning of holiness in America. But some of those old preachers started preaching and teaching that if you were successful, you had compromised. And I don't believe that. I don't believe that's scriptural. I don't believe the Bible teaches that. Listen, amen, how much money you do have or don't have doesn't phase your spirituality. Hallelujah. Amen. Your spiritual man, amen, is not about how much you have or don't have. But I'm preaching that if we return to the Lord, He will help us and bless us. I've served God too long. Amen. To not believe with all my heart that God will help the people that will serve Him. He'll meet their needs when some writer said, God will bankrupt heaven to meet my need. Hallelujah. Philippians 4 19, my God shall supply all your need according to his riches and glory by Christ Jesus. It is the devil that wants to keep us on the bottom. But the devil is a liar. God wants to bless somebody. You take a person, amen, on the bottom. I've seen it over and over. I mean, on the bottom, brother. I mean, you know, what's on the bottom? Set on the carpet and swing your legs. I'd say that's on the bottom, wouldn't you? Another guy said I'm so loathing that to jack me up to bury me. Now that is loathe. That's what I'm talking about on the bottom. But you let them get saved. You let them serve God. It might not be six months. It might be. It might not even be a year or two. But slowly but surely, God will start helping them. God will start meeting the needs in their life. God will start blessing them. And before it's over, they'll be envious. Have been envy. Amen of the skinner folks saying, What in the world is going on? I'll tell you what's going on. They returned to God. And God said I'm going to bless them. And there's nothing can be done about it.
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_02Solomon. Let's look at just a couple things here. Solomon, in today's standard, would have received annually, because the Bible lists how much he received annually in gold. According to today's standards, he would have received over a billion dollars a year annually. And so if you take those 40 years, he would have been worth some 2.1 trillion dollars in gold. And listen to me, the reason that matters to this message today is because everybody in his kingdom was blessed. That's why we want godly leaders. Because when there's godly leaders, God blesses the people. And when there's sinful leaders, God doesn't bless the people. It is a struggle. That's in scripture. It's all in the Bible. That's why we want godly leaders and godly principles. And I know our choices become few, and I know we have to pray about it. I know, but that's why we pray for them and we ask God to help them. Listen, Solomon was blessed, and this was his net worth. This was not what he made on businesses and shipyards and all other things in the kingdom. His net worth what came into Solomon's house. And you know what Matthew 12 and 42 says, a greater than Solomon is here. Who was here? Jesus. But Luke chapter 58 says the foxes have holes, and the birds of the earth have nets, and the Son of Man hath not where his layers head. Solomon was worth 2.1 trillion net worth. And Jesus didn't even have a house to live in. And he was greater than Solomon. That goes to tell me, hallelujah, it's not about what in the bank.
SPEAKER_03And it's not about what God in the bank.
SPEAKER_02It's just to tell me that God's the blessing of his people, and he opens up the windows of heaven, there's not room enough to receive it. I said, when he opens the windows of heaven, there's not room enough to receive it. Abraham in Genesis 13, 2 was considered very rich. How rich do you have to be for God to say you're very rich? He owns the cattle on a thousand hills. Heaven is his throne, and earth is his footstool. The Bible says the earth is the Lord's. That the sister wanted to give to us. Praise the Lord. Amen. And it didn't seem like it was going to happen. And the Lord gave me that scripture said, The earth is the Lord's. He already owns it, anyways. Hallelujah. And many of you parked over there this morning. Anybody park over there? That's a miracle church. Amen. In the years we live in, I'm talking about a miracle. We know about it. They don't give land away. Hallelujah. But it's owned by the church today. And we can park on it. And the scripture that the Lord said in the earth is the Lord's. Amen. Job. Amen was a great man. I mentioned that. Joseph was a man that went from rags to riches. That went from the pit to the palace. Hallelujah. Joseph was a man. Amen that got picked up. Who was a slave of the Israelites? Who was beaten by his brothers and stole his robe. Hallelujah. But they weren't going to steal that robe that he wore when they walked in there in Egypt. I said, they wasn't going to steal that robe and dip it in the blood of a little goat. I'm going to tell you something. Amen. If we come to God, there'll come a day where nobody will steal your robe. Isaac was so great. Those kings asked him to leave. Because he made them look so bad. Listen, there was an old Choctaw Indian lady that went to my dad's church, and I know her woman. She passed on the boy. She didn't have. Her favorite scripture was Matthew 6, 33, but seek ye first in the kingdom of God and his righteousness. And all these things shall be added. My mom and dad would pick her up for church and bring her to church. I can see her right now. Hallelujah. And she would do like this when she got in the Holy Ghost and dance around a little bit. And both hands. I could see it right now. It's like that's that old Choctaw Indian I'm talking about. She probably wasn't five foot tall. Hallelujah. Just a little old Indian, but she'd stand up and say, Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness. And all these things shall be added unto you. Hallelujah. Didn't have nothing. Lived with her sister. And her sister died. And my mom and dad was trying to figure out something. Found out, you know, that the Choctaws might help her. Before it was over, the Choctaw nation built her a brand new house. I'm talking about free. He then gave her the land as long as she lived. Even built her brand new house there on the bypass. I'm talking about pass by and see that little, she said, I want uh I want um uh log cabin style. And they built it log cabin style, where I mean the cabins. You walk in that cute little house, she never paid a dime for it, never paid her electric bill, but lived there for some 15 plus years. And I'll never forget this when she came in that church after she had moved in that place. Hallelujah. Excuse me. I'll never forget this. When she came in smiling, hallelujah, of course, we knew all that was going on. Praise the Lord, and she wanted to testify. She said, Before I say anything, I've got one thing to say. But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness. I'm gonna tell you something, brother. Before the old Choctaw Indian ever got done. Praise God. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. I'm talking about a blesser. And when God blesses you, the devil can't even put no sorrow on it. Proverbs 10, 22, the blessing of the Lord maketh rich, and he hath no sorrow with it. Amen. If you will return to the Lord, you won't just be built up, you will lay up. Hallelujah. Psalms 3 and 8, salvation belongeth to the Lord. Thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah. Hallelujah. David said, I'm gonna build a temple. He said, I imagine the preacher was in there and said, Look at this house, David. It's beautiful. I don't know, but he was at David's house, Nathan the prophet. Praise the Lord. Y'all remember? I started preaching later today. Hallelujah. Praise God. He said, I'm gonna build him a house.
SPEAKER_01Nathan went home, and the Lord said, Do you go tell David He ain't gonna build him your house? He's killed too many people, he's shed too much blood. Hallelujah, but his son will. Hallelujah.
SPEAKER_02And he said, by the way, I'm gonna bless his family. And I'm gonna bless his children. David, Nathan the prophet comes back to David. You can find this in 2 Samuel 7. But David goes to the house of the Lord. And one of the first things he says, the Bible says, Then went King David in and sat before the Lord and said, Who am I? I thought that I thought I thought Rusty Goodman wrote that song, Who Am I? But evidently King David wrote it, Who Am I? That's the first thing he did. He came into the church and he said, Lord, who am I? What is my house that you brought me? You brought me from the sheepcoat. You brought me from the fields. And not only have you brought me in, but you've talked about my children in a great while to come. I don't have time to read it. There's about uh 20 verses there, 10, 15 verses. But verse number 28, and now, O Lord God, thou art the God, and thy words be true, which thou hast promised this goodness unto thy servant. Therefore, now let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant that it may continue forever before thee. For thou, O Lord God, hast spoken it, with thy blessing, let the house of thy servant be blessed forever.
SPEAKER_03Hallelujah. Amen.
SPEAKER_01Psalms 24, who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? Who shall stand in this holy place? He that hath clean hands and a pure heart, not sworn deceitfully, he shall receive the blessing of the Lord.
SPEAKER_02Psalm 68, 19, blessed be the Lord who daily loadeth us with benefits. Even the God of our salvation sealing. Listen, I cannot preach without preaching, reading this one. And I'm going to move on. Malachi 3 and 10. Bring you all the tithes into the storehouse that there may be meat in my house. And prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing, and there shall not be room enough to receive it. I don't know if I've ever told this, but there was a man, amen, that he he went to church where I pastored and he thought I made too much. And I and I went to him and I talked him into paying tithes somewhere else. I believe the scripture so much that I went to that man and I said, Listen, hail somewhere else, but you've got to get out of this pit. I cared for it. That man started paying tithes somewhere else. And God started blessing him. And he came and wept and cried, said, I'm telling you, God's word is true.
SPEAKER_01And I believe to this day he'll send me blessings sometimes. I believe it.
SPEAKER_02How come? Because I didn't write it. It's right here. Woo!
SPEAKER_00Amen.
SPEAKER_02Hallelujah. Can I get a witness in this place? The scripture text says if you'll return to the Lord, hallelujah, you'll lay up gold like the dust of Up. And you'll have plenty of singular. Amen. I'm talking about a God that will bless and can't nothing stop it. I'm talking about God that will touch and can't nobody hinder it. I'm talking about a God that will help and can't nobody stop it. I'm telling you, I can tell you story after story after story concerning this reference. Amen.
SPEAKER_01Hallelujah. And then last of all, he said, you'll lift up your face unto God. You know what we come in our heads? We're ashamed. We're looking to heaven, we don't want to lift up. But if you return to the Lord, you'll lift up your eyes unto the heels from whence cometh your help. My help cometh from the Lord which made heaven and earth.
SPEAKER_02He will not suffer thy foot to be moved. Behold, he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Hallelujah. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper. The Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. I'm talking about praying. I'm talking about getting close to God. Amen. Thou shalt lift up thy face unto the Lord. Amen. Prayer heard. Listen, I want to go through, thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee. Psalms 34, 17, the righteous cried, and the Lord heareth and delivereth him out of all their troubles. Psalms 34, 6, this poor man cried. And the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles. Amen Solomon in 1 Kings 9:3. And the Lord said unto him, I have heard thy prayer. In 1 Samuel 1 and 27, for this child I prayed. And the Lord hath given me my petition, which I ask of him. Amen. I believe it with all of my heart.
SPEAKER_03Praise God.
SPEAKER_02Yes, Amen. I was reminded of this when I was on a trip, and so I asked Sister Bethany about it. There was a time on our church that was a women's prayer. The women prayed on this side, so there's a women's prayer meeting on our prayer room on this side. There's a men on this side. And Sister Bethany went in that prayer room. And I went in this prayer room. And with the kids was with us, you know, they were younger. And uh there was a baptistry, and so we kind of connected, and Sister Bethany got carried away praying.
SPEAKER_01I'm talking about screaming, hollering, praying. Nobody was there. Which I don't know if it would have mattered anyways, but nobody was there. Well, we didn't know that a brother had come into church. You know, it wasn't an old man but a younger man.
SPEAKER_02He was in the church again. Well, there was something going on in the church. And come on now. There's always something going on. Help us, Lord. I remember one time I told a guy, I said, I hate to disappoint you, but there's about three things more important than this right now. Y'all are looking at me now. Throw a songbook, I'll die, I'll dodge. And he came, so he heard her praying like that. And so he goes, he comes to me first. I didn't know he's there. I said, Oh, sorry. You know, I mean, not that I was afraid to pray, but yeah, we didn't know anybody was there. And he comes over here and said, Hey, I've been out here, you know. I said, He said, I feel like I need to tell Sister Evan this. So we go over her and knock on the door, or she just I hang lost in prayer. And uh, so she comes out there. I'll never forget she's sitting down on the uh the chair there, and she gets some Kleenexes and wiping, and is sitting there, you know, still in the Spirit of God. And he tells her, he says, I feel like telling you that, you know, it's not what you think it is, and it's not, you know, in other words, and that's what he was referring to. And so it's okay, thank you, Bethany. And so after he went, Bethany said, Hold on, come here, I've got to tell you something, Sam. She said, God spoke to me in there, and he told me he was gonna help us. Well, he didn't know. We was praying about three things. And I I asked her again the other day, and I wrote these down. One of them was a family that had no children, and she was interceding to God that God would give them children. Well, today they have five children. Sister Bethany, you can stop praying, I imagine. There were three things she was praying about. Second of all, there was a couple that was divorced, and he had got back saved, but they was, you know, we felt the sheep, we felt like they needed to get back together. Hallelujah. Well, they are married today, hallelujah. Praise God, and and uh I remarried them in the church. Amen. Then the third thing was a financial need. Amen. I had a truck, and I would have never told this before about a truck that I owed a bunch more money than it was worth on, amen. And we was trying to get out from under it before it was too late. You say, how much? Like twelve or thirteen thousand dollars, amen. That I had to that was over that they was offering me, amen. And God met that need, amen, and a place gave me waiu on the truck. You say, You must have trained in. No, I didn't trade in. They paid me wai-o'd, and my wife sat there on that pew, on that chair, and she said, God spoke to me. And you know what? The other day when I thought about this, I thought he was nothing but a wet blanket. You know, when I come to tell you today, that's a five harder than a wet blanket. I said, that's a five harder than a wet blanket. And God gave that family children, God put that family back together.
SPEAKER_03The devil is alive, you know, God will do it.
SPEAKER_02I said, God will do it. Is it the father to me? He is a ball. Hallelujah. It's the fiction of every shit. Jeremiah twenty-nine thirteen and ye shall seek me and find me. And ye shall seek for me with all your heart. Stand against it. Pray about it. Stand on the word of God. Let me shout say when men are cast down. Terry is lifting up. I've been there. One song, y'all give me a song. One song I said, I've been there when the dollars were so few. And I said, Oh Lord, what am I gonna do? And he said, Child, I've never failed you yet. There's another part of that song. This says the Lord God, the devil is trying to keep you down. This saith the Lord God, the enemy, pressing sore upon you. This saith the Lord God, I am greater.
SPEAKER_01And every attack. I am greater than every force of darkness. This saith the Lord God, come to me. Come to me, saith the Lord. Come to me, I will turn around. You'll stand and testify soon, saith the Lord. And I'll hear the Lord. Just like I did it for you before. This time it will be even greater, saith the Lord God. Church.
unknownA greater testimony.
SPEAKER_01Then you're gonna say, there's lifting up. Listen, I see some of these guys, they'll say, I was there. God picked me up. I was there. You're in this house today, no matter your need, according to our scripture text today, the time will come that you'll tell somebody, there's lifting up, he'll save the humble person. He's the healer. The Lord is the healer. The Lord is the lifter up of the head. The Lord is the master. Touch the Lord today. Just obey the Lord right now. Let's stand together. He's the healer.
SPEAKER_02No matter what your need is, you're not coming to me. You're coming to God. No matter what your circumstance is. You're not coming to this church, so to speak. You're coming to the throne room of heaven. And the verse says, He shall save the humble person. Maybe it's addictions. Maybe it's things in your life that's greater than you. Listen, we face things that's greater than us. Step out. Things are coming. You step out. Come.
