Thank you for coming to church in a special way that you hear a lot of history today so it's like your first time for us away. Both of us just a single guy as a teenager. Still preaching together amen. Isn't that wonderful? Never would have dreamed that uh so many years would pass by and so many, like the old saying is so much water under the bridge. I'm gonna tell you there's a lot of water under the bridge and a little water over the bridge. A few times the bridge got flooded but here we are still still standing amen and not washed out. You know life has a lot of things that'll uh bring your way but God is faithful. And you know what matters the most is that we endure to the end. The Bible says he that endureth to the end the same shall be saved. You know if we had different ones this morning get up here and tell I mean everybody have a different story than this and that and the other you know but uh you know went through as far as circumstances and went through this and went through that. But you know there would be a strain in every testimony there'd be a break in every testimony and uh every testimony would have this first string in it that God's the same he's he's the same to me as he is to you no matter what we go through God's the same. And he's always the same. But there's another strain in there and that's that you know the devil fights the devil fights everybody. Everybody got up to testify to talk to me and have to say you know it was time that the devil wasn't fighting you know that uh I didn't think I was gonna make it didn't think I was gonna make it through you know that'd be in just about everybody's testimony and then there's another one in there and that's that's us. We'd say you know I I was weak or I I failed or I messed up or I this you know but you know what? All the way at the end hallelujah we made it. Praise the Lord. So far praise God and I plan on making it to the end. How about you? Amen I have no desire to turn back on God or look back. Amen there's nothing to look back to it's been mentioned before how Lot's wife turned around and looked back. You know in her mind she thought she would see that beautiful city. She thought she would see children waving at her she thought she would see all the beauties of the sun rising upon that city. But when she turned back she saw nothing but ashes and charred rooms of the fire of God. And that's the way it is if we look back on God amen. So glad that they're with us who's going to preach for us today. Also glad to have Brother Jarris and Sister Chelsea and their children with us today. Amen we've been missing them I think their name is on that Pew Bear or something like that is what it is. But we're glad that they're with us today amen and they've come in for youth camp this week and we're excited about that. Well I know the children are excited some of us adults are our heads hanging a little low you know but uh saying oh God help us this week going to be a lot of work but uh amen looking forward to that all right that's enough being said we're gonna dismiss the children to their Sunday school classes God bless you go to Sunday school this morning it's a wonderful thing. It's something that'll last all your life amen God's word and everything praise God mentioned a few other ministers here this morning Sean and this is Kayla's first time God bless the name also uh glad to have being in my hands your family and God bless you all for being here is it Larnell is the first time here today and glad to have Brother Titan with us here today and this ain't his first time since we had to be here today. It's not our first time I don't matter if it's your first time or a hundred time we're glad that you're with us. Amen if you're as happy to be here as we are to say we're gonna have a good time today.

So yesterday we got to spend some time together and just reminiscing some times of uh really just uh just wonderful times in the world. I'll say this and just reminiscing I made a decision as a young man just for the world. And it was it was solidified uh during the time, singing and sending a call single call, saying that's not uh it was solidified at that time as a young man. Uh believe in getting a whole lot for yourself and I think back of what my life I guess could be I realize that that even if I didn't find myself on a skin road, even if I missed out on a whole lot of the goodness of God. And I'm so glad that the Lord has been so good to my me and my family. And I have nothing, nothing but good things to say about our God. Because it is a wonderful thing, church. It's a wonderful thing to serve the Lord. Can we just worship just a little bit more here this morning and believe God will help us in a special way? Oh, thank you, Jesus.

Well, praise the Lord. Well, the reason why you're here today is because the Lord's brought you. And that is the only reason I'm standing here today. And it's been uh said many times about a man passing by and seeing a turtle on a post, on a fence post. He said he knew when he saw him there, he knew he didn't get there on his own. Praise the Lord. That's how I feel this morning. I didn't get here on my own. Thank God for every step of the way. If you will, let's turn to Romans, I'm not coming to you with anything new here today. If you will, turn to Romans chapter number twelve. So I want to prove to everyone of us if you know what a position you're in this morning. So if you go to Romans chapter number twelve, read just verse number one, but if you want to read verse number two as well, just because it's just so good. Romans 12 and 1. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, present your body as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Be not conformed to this world, but be transformed. You can do not know without a renewing of your mind. And you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Those are not three different wills of God, it's just one. It's just what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. And so let's ask the Lord here, I'll give a title here in a moment, but let's ask the Lord here for his help. Heavenly Father, we love you. We thank you, Lord, so much for the privilege to be able to be in your house here today. We thank you, Lord, so much. For every soul, God, we thank you, Lord, for every individual. Lord, that made it to your house. God, we pray, Lord, that you would minister to them. God, that they would not just be hearers of the word, but doers also. Your word might take root and bear fruit in their lives and through their lives. We ask you, Lord Jesus, to help us here this morning to preach in a manner, God, that would minister to their souls. God, anoint us and use us to preach your word. God, use us for your glory, Lord, that your name might be glorified and that your church may be edified in the wonderful, glorious name of Jesus Christ. And the church said, Amen. Amen, amen. I understand who Paul is writing to because he says, I beseech you therefore, brethren. But I like what J.B. Phillips in his uh translation of this text, he said, With eyes wide open to the mercies of God, I beg you, my brothers, as an act of an intelligent worship, to give him your bodies as a living sacrifice, consecrated and acceptable by him. Don't let the world around you squeeze you into its own mold, but let God remold your mind from within, so that ye may prove in practice that the plan of God for you is good, meets all his demands, and moves towards the goal of true maturity. That is just his view of that text, but I like the very opening line of what he says, with eyes wide open to the mercies of God. And here in this text we find that as an epistle is being written, he is addressing the brethren of the faith, but he says, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice. And if you would allow me to put it this way, in one manner, it feels as though he is saying, let us measure out the mercy. And within the confines of mercy, let us look at this and understand that we are to present ourselves as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God. And so, my friend, we can ask ourselves what is considered reason or reasonable, or what is defined as that in just a regular definition, reason is within the boundaries of what is fair, what is practical and sensible, it acts as a limiting condition, suggesting that a request, action, or offer is acceptable provided it doesn't cross its extremes or go beyond logical limits. It is rational and logical. And so, my friend, as we begin to look at, amen, what is reasonable to call God for your life is that you give your life to God. That your life is not your own, that you were created for a purpose. You are created for a reason. And generally, I'll just say it this way the reason why you are created is for you to give glory to Almighty God today.

The purpose of your existence here is that your life would bring glory to Almighty God in this house, in this time, and then in this breath that you're breathing today, that you would give glory to God.

That is a purpose, that is a plan for your life. And so when we look at this text, I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service, that is the least we can do to live a life that is holy and acceptable unto God, that is the least of what we can do. But you say, brother, how do I measure? How do I measure that that is the least? What do I compare it to? We compare it to the mercies of God. Now listen, my friend, when we begin to measure out, and that's my title this morning, measuring the mercy of God.

When we begin to measure the mercy of God, and I understand this morning very well, it's not how we have two options, my friend, I'm standing up, it's not because I could be in hell, but now I have to get some mercy, and I said that's the least. I said that's the least I can do is to serve him with all of my heart.

In your life, what should have happened? What could have happened? We find that even the goodness of God leadeth us to repentance. Because we find that even though we make bad decisions, God had mercy on us. Even though we make bad choices, there was mercy that we found. And so, because of that mercy, when I measure that mercy, amen. When I found the mercy of Almighty God and realize that I understand when you're lost and without God, you go your own way. You don't consider everything surrounding it, but from this point of view, where you're standing right now, you can look at your childhood and find those moments of mercy and for you. I can look back over my life in the areas that I was raised in, and the people as a young man I was raised in, uh raised around. Some of the uh some of the uh ball teams that I was part of. Amen. That some of them at a young age died because of overdose.

Some of them got shot, amen because of the life they were living. My friend, I'm not joking with the humanity. But it was God's mercy, I made a woman out, so he made a woman out, and so because of that, I can say thank God I owe you my own, because you provide I can tell you if you're here this morning, he made a way out for you.

I said, if you're sitting in this pew this morning and you're listening to this poor preacher, he made a way out for you. And so kind of wondering if I should give him everything, I don't think it's a question. I think it's reasonable for you to give him everything. I think it's rather reasonable to understand that I should give him my all.

That I shouldn't hold back anything from him today, that I should give him all of my heart and life. I think it's reasonable here this morning and understand that once I begin to measure out the mercies of Almighty God, I understand that he deserves my all.

Oh, praise God. Amen, Lord. Praise God. I told you I wasn't coming with anything fancy or new here this morning, but understanding that the mercies of God, amen, have made a way for me that I don't deserve to be here. Amen. I don't deserve, amen, the goodness of Almighty God. I don't deserve the blessings of the Lord that maketh rich and addeth no sorrow with them. I don't deserve the promises of the Lord that are yet and amen.

I don't deserve the goodness and the blessings of God that I obtained to salvation. I don't deserve his joy, I don't deserve his peace. I don't deserve it this morning, but what I deserve was held, but God had mercy, and God delivered grace, and allowed me to experience his goodness, and so when I measure out the mercy of Almighty God, I find that he deserves my own.

And so John Hill said this.

He said, but by mercies of God, that is, the abundant mercy of God, displayed in their election regeneration cold, in which nothing Can have a greater influence on a believer to engage him to holiness of life and conversation. Nothing else. You begin to measure out the mercy of God within your life. When you say, my all, he wants my all, I think it fits within the confines of that mercy that's measured. And so I'd say it's accepted. And it's good. And it's right to offer my all to Almighty God. Amen. It is the greatest influence when I begin to measure the mercy of the Lord. It is one of the greatest influences on my life to live a sanctified holy life, step up, set up a set apart for the glory of Almighty God.

That I don't know, that I no longer give my life to stand up. I no longer give my life to the ways of this one. That will bring glory to him because I measured his mercy. And I found that it's within the combines of that measurement of mercy. That's within the limitations of that abundant mercy. That he deserves everything. Oh God. Come on.

Oh Jesus, help us. Thank God for today. When I look at the adoption, whereby I'm able to cry out of a Father. When I measure that mercy, I say it's reasonable. When I consider that place of grace and not the law, I say, you know, it seems pretty reasonable. When I consider the outpouring of the Holy Ghost and the moving of the Holy Ghost in my life personally, and to know and understand that when we come to the house of the Lord together, we have an expectation and an understanding and a biblical promise that he's going to meet us when we get here together. And I thank goodness, amen, that is a wonderful mercy that I measure out and understand.

Oh glory. The promises of his help and his love and his goodness. Oh, the confidence of his coming glory and the future splendor of heaven. When I measure out. Somebody want to measure out. I don't have time to get into it. But somebody want to get a check measure this morning and measure out the corners of that heavenly glory. And give me the details of that splendid glory.

And let me know if you think that once you measure it, that instinct trees come over to give people to understand that there'll be no light. That there'll be no sorrow. That will be no tears.

And that if you're half-hearted or not decided to make a complete commitment to Christ, you would understand that the reason why you're here today is because of his mercy. And so it would be a call to you to make a decision to give your all to God. And say I'm no longer with all or all. But I'll give everything to God. I think it'd be perfectly reasonable. Your family may not understand it. But my friend, the more. And something I don't understand about Christianity sometimes is how that. It seems like some, I won't say it that way. God help me. Amen. It's just the more you dive into the Word of God and understand who God is, the deeper the waters get. And to me, it seems like to me the greater the joy is. Come on, that's right. Because a lot of our thankfulness at salvation and our lack of knowledge of God is just experiential. We experience the grace of God and we are thrilled about the grace of God in that experience. But to understand, and that we're standing up about grace does much more about that.

And we understand that there is a grace provided, and a battle for any soul that's lost, and uncommon, and to understand the love of God that's got it, and so my friend this morning.

I need to hurry here. And so we look at his coming, Lord, the confidence of no separation from God to be with him forever. And to understand, as Jeremiah writes in lamentations, you see him measuring out who God is and understanding who the Lord is. And finally he comes to the place. Great is life. Hallelujah. When he begins to understand the goodness and what mercies God has and understanding who God is, he has a greater understanding than just inscribing great. When we understand that his mercies are made new every day, we can write great. To understand that there in the midst of the valley, in the midst of the storm, that there is the faithful hand of Almighty God upholding us.

We can say great inside faithfulness to understand that we can be led to the room. That is within the confines of that mercy that I should give on God.

Can somebody find the beginning point of forever? And then measure out and let me know where the end point is. Somebody here. Yeah. We can't measure it out, can we? We can't understand it, can we? Right. Right. Oh, give thanks unto the God of gods for his mercy endureth forever. Oh, give thanks to the Lord of Lords for His mercy endureth forever. To him who alone doeth great wonders for his mercy endureth forever. To him that by wisdom made the heavens for his mercy endureth forever. To him that stretch out the earth above the waters for his mercy endureth forever. To him that made great lights for his mercy endureth forever. The sun ruled by day for his mercies endureth forever. Y'all understand that Psalmist is reflecting to your right. It's the work of creation. And by measuring out that great creation that he made, he was measuring out the mercy of Almighty God.

And he understood something as he reflected. And he created, my goodness, when I looked at his mercy and his grace, it just keeps on going. And it keeps on enduring.

So in the first section, he's looking at creation. He says his verse does endure. And then they begin to reflect on the state of Israel.

And then he begins to reflect on the testimony of what God did for them. I said God. I said I forgive him out. I said, Worship is name. I said God.

If I can tell the saints this morning. And he walks through and finds that he's with me. And he leads me through now. The valley of the shadow of death. And he sets a table before my innards. And my cup runneth over. He anointeth my head with all. And when I reflect all of those things and I begin to measure it out, I say, surely. I'm sorry, church. I'm feeling pretty good right now. Surely. When I look back and say, goodness and mercy. Well, follow me all the days of my life.

Oh let's praise the Lord here for seven. Let's praise the Lord here for sentences. Oh thank you, Lord Jesus, for letters. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for the house. So here today, we can point out the greatest thing, and that is to know Jesus as your personal seed. He's already expected you to express it. You should have his mercy. You should have here. But you're here this morning. You shouldn't be here. But you're here this morning. Others went through the same thing you went through. I want to hear it again. If you'd be willing to give your heart to the Lord Jesus Christ, make your personal sin. Because he's already sinned to see your mercy. Somebody just looked at me. So I want the word of God to take a remote. I want to raise your hand if you're just hunting sandwiches. I don't want to look around. I wonder if you just go ahead and make your way up to the soldiers. Not just a little bit, not just hard. Lord, you've been good and you've shown a mercy to me. You showed a mercy to me. If I can talk to some folks going through the valley and trial, I'm gonna let you know. If you'll just take a look back and find the footprints I behind you to find some mercy to you. So behind these that have already come. So I need to measure out the mercy of Almighty God. Give me this Lord. I need to measure out the measure, measure out the mercy of Almighty God and understand that it's been mighty good to me. Go ahead, friends, call on Jesus. Go ahead, friends, call on Jesus this morning.
