SPEAKER_02

All right, welcome back to the Bet Big Talk Loud Podcast for Friday, July 31st, last day of July. August upon us. I'm Chris Hodge. Got JR with me. Uh, we're going to do the Hypocrisy Friday show.

SPEAKER_01

I saw some of the notes. I'm like, ooh, this is gonna be fun. Because there is a club. We ain't in it. I want to know how you're getting it. I mean, I really I really do. Where's where's the window? I mean, what's the invitation look like? What do we gotta, you know, what's the net worth level to get the invitation?

SPEAKER_02

So I'm gonna do a little politics, but I'm gonna tie it at the sports because you know we try not to do politics here because it's such a divisive matter. But this shit is so funny to me. Because you know what I'm really waiting for? And not that I want to see a kid lose their livelihood in terms of uh gambling and and what they can play, but the first time a college athlete bets like a $25 poly and the world erupts, like this is the worst thing ever. See, we're doing it wrong. We're doing it wrong. Apparently, you have to fuck the whole world, try to ruin Earth as it is, mass murder, then you get pardoned for it, and then you get to go claim or plead the fifth a hundred times or whatever it was. 111 times. 111?

SPEAKER_01

111 times.

SPEAKER_02

See, we're like I said, we're doing it wrong. It's so insane. You got the politicians, the fucking idiots at the FBI and Homeland Security, and all these moron nitwits that are just doing all this stuff over sports wagering. It's wrong.

SPEAKER_01

And then we were told, you know, all these superheroes were coming in, and there was the the the everything was gonna get cleaned up and we're gonna be uh people are gonna go to jail. Instead, there's just there's a lot of good deals going around for some folks out there. I'll say that.

SPEAKER_02

The first time something happens with wagering, people lose their mind. Wagering, mind you, mind you, people who have paid their taxes that just want to go gamble and have some fun, no good. World erupts. But lie to the world, heat roads. Oh but lie to the world, have a little diary. By the way, what fucking grown man has a diary?

SPEAKER_01

80 years old, he's keeping a diary, and then what's in the diary never in my life kept a diary. Maybe I'm crazy. I don't know. Those of you watching, have you ever kept a diary? Never, never I just talked to myself. I didn't even keep notes in class, right? I just walk around talking to people, just incriminating himself on paper. Guys murdering people, it's the most amazing like blatantly lying to the world, and nothing happens. Nothing happens, get a pardon, like it's okay.

SPEAKER_02

Let me bring you so I like I said I want to tie it back to our world. So let me bring you into our world and what we deal with. Okay. Stop laughing. Toe in the line. Um, so you could obviously you could write something in a diary, then go on TV, get time from all the major networks, and what you write in a diary, you basically lie to, you get off for it, and then you don't have to talk about it. Well, how about this too?

SPEAKER_01

Did you know he's also the highest paid government? Right millions for it in the world, ever in the history of the United States, and the highest pension that we're still paying. Right, makes millions. 400,000 a year in pension.

SPEAKER_02

All right. So you make millions off of the bullshit. Oh right, great. Good for you. Okay. Here's in our world. We do the the radio the radio show, Sports Investors Daily, every Saturday and Sunday. Okay. When I tell you, if we just have a hiccup on this show where we say Dallas Cowboys, as opposed to just Dallas, the lawyers jump all over this, especially this fucking pest from New Orleans who I can't stand. Okay. The lawyers jump all over this. Hey, you know, Chris, you can't say cowboys. That's a trademark name, you fucking pencil fuck. Right? So they jump all over that. If like, right, so so I'm not allowed to say cowboys or jets or broncos on the city. Can't even say NFL. Can't say NFL professional football. March madness. March madness like you killed a kid. You say that, the world dance. Right? Or you're gonna get fined from the FCC. I didn't even think we were allowed to say the big dance. Big dance. Right. Another one. So so this is the shit that we deal with on radio. This is the shit that they enforce. If God forbid, and we have never done this, but I almost want to do it just to see the reaction, just to fuck around with people. If God forbid we went on radio and said, we have inside information on it.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, God. I mean, listen, that's why we even talk about it on the show. Like, there's no inference of anything. Here's the deal: plain and simple. In our world, it's about how much you understand and know about this business, right? How much we have over 500 years under our roof of experience of experience under our roof. Guys that have been professionally watching games. And when I say watching games, not like you at home throwing your soda because your home team is losing. We're talking about guys that watch everything and watching the spreads as the money's coming in, following it, what it corresponds to with each game. This is a profession, something I've done and done it proudly for over 30 years, since the 90s, when it wasn't cool to do this, where you will, no matter what family member I ever tried to explain what I do for a living back in 1998. Doesn't work. All they did was look at you and say, Oh, you're a bookie. No, I'm the exact opposite of a bookie. We tried to my job is to destroy the book.

SPEAKER_02

But here's the thing, right? So, like we said, if we went on radio and just had a hiccup and just said something we didn't even mean, I'm telling you, it's not 24 hours later, I got lawyers calling me all over the place, right? Bullet tap dogs. Right. Where are you fucking lawyers when someone lies to the country? Where are you guys? Do you forget how to write? Does that education that mommy and daddy paid for all of a sudden not work? Like, do you guys forget how to type emails? Or where are you guys? Where do you guys go? Another full of shit group, the lawyers.

SPEAKER_01

Zero accountability.

SPEAKER_02

Right. It's just absolutely insane, right? So with gambling, it's the craziest thing to me because they're acting like gambling is this terrible fucking thing. I say it all the time. I leave Atlantic City. I'm not out of the fucking parking garage. I get an email. Hey, come back. We'll offer you three free nights.

SPEAKER_01

But the sports books do that, and it's no good. They get annihilated. They get annihilated. And they're not even allowed to make more money than the state they're running in in some cases. Crazy, bro. You got places like New York that take 51%.

SPEAKER_02

So now I'm glad you mentioned that because this just broke before we came on and did this podcast, which is right now 154. Oh, by the way, Eastern time. By the way, we were supposed to have Allison Jordan live in studio. She had a schedule in Snafu, so she's coming in two weeks. So we got Fred Davis, Fan After Dark from Dallas coming on. I wore my New York Knicks attire. Fred, just for you. Because he came on last time wearing a Kansas City shirt or some nonsense, right? They're wearing a tire.

SPEAKER_01

I got my Lua shirt on.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, you look like you're ready to go to a beach or something, have some drinks. Um, so we with gambling, the the shit that just drives me crazy is the hypocrisy. So they just sued Calchy. New York just sued Calchy five minutes before we came on. And you know, because they're saying they're running an illegal sports gambling operation. Whatever. I'm not getting into the logistics of it. Here's just just say you're full of. Did they arrest the CEO? Isn't that how it Okay? Here's the deal. FanDuel and DraftKings should go look this up, Google it. They pay 51%, 51% of their gross revenue. New York State, you're a bunch of criminals. You are the mafia. You're a bunch of criminals. Worse, worse. Calci doesn't pay you a dime. That's no good.

SPEAKER_01

Can't do that. Nope. So we gotta sue them. Well, they I'm sure they pay their whatever business taxes.

SPEAKER_02

Whatever, but they don't pay them no 51% of gross revenue.

SPEAKER_01

No, they don't consider themselves a sports book. They're considered options traders.

SPEAKER_02

So that bad boy, Leticia James, there, she gotta get her big ass involved and and sue Cowchi. Like, bro, and you know, none of this makes any sense to the lay people out there. Like I said, there's a club, we ain't in it. We're not in it. So now let's keep it going with gambling. Because this was hilarious. You didn't even hear about this. This was fucking hilarious. So you have every league going crazy when people make bets, right? If you're you're in the NFL, Calvin Ridley made a $1,500 bet, got suspended basically forever.

SPEAKER_01

How about the guy that makes a $10 parlay and loses his?

SPEAKER_02

The kid from Iowa, $100 bet. Like, all right, so you got craziness going on, right? You you leagues all act high and mighty. Why? Because you're hypocritical fucks. Okay. WNBA, I can't even believe I gotta talk about this league. I gotta talk about it twice today. WNBA, Paige Beckers, Angel Reese, during their All-Star game, make a $400 bet between each other for their upcoming Atlanta Dallas game. They make a $400 bet between each other. They literally just one-on-one.

SPEAKER_01

They just bet. Not in a sports book. Hey, yo, I'll bet you $400. I'm gonna kick your ass this weekend.

SPEAKER_02

So, what does the hypocritical WNBA and NBA who are in bed with the sports books, but God forbid you bet no good. Okay, right? The WNBA post it on their social media. So here's the league telling you, oh, they can't bet.

SPEAKER_01

Our players can't bet, and then they go make a bet, and it's all good. And I don't get it. They're allowed to be spokesmen. Like you got players. LeBron James is a spokesman. I mean, I don't get it. Like, come bet. We're not allowed to bet. Come bet. And yet they're destroyed. And why would the league post it? Right. The fuck are they thinking? Why would they? I mean, I know it was taken down right away, right? I mean, I I saw that. But they put it up there.

SPEAKER_02

So you got P you got people within your league betting was supposed to be an automatic suspension, right? I don't give a fuck how much the if you're gonna adhere to the rules to the rules. Automatic. But by the standards of women, this is even beyond hypocritical. And so they're not they're not being suspended. So now they're not being suspended, no, which, okay, fine. I I gotta read you this. I have this is the funniest shit, man. So you got the Terry Rogier case going on, right? So now there's been text messages that have come out between the guys who were betting that were actually uh text messaging each other, don't tell Rogier about the bet. Okay? So they his his nickname is Chum. So they have a text message, don't tell Chum about the bet. Okay. The recipient answered, hell no. Okay. So what I assume, this is my assumption, is that one of his friends knew he was hurt. And he probably made a comment to one of his friends that were like, yo, I don't know if I'm gonna make it through this whole game. What if his friends go do? They go bet the under. Okay. Now, again, that's an assumption. Okay? Those two were. It doesn't sound like he like sought out. This is so beautiful. You know what I mean? This is so beautiful. In a response filed shortly after, federal prosecutors said they have developed evidence from multiple sources that this text chain does not relate to sports gambling. Don't tell Trump about the bet that we made on sports. What? Doesn't relate to sports gambling. You guys are so full of shit.

SPEAKER_01

The Eastern District of New York, you guys are clowns. You guys are clowns. What's crazy is they'll they'll they'll get a anything that she wants to prosecute, she'll she'll get a guilty. Bro. They bring in the jury, they I mean, I I don't even want to say because I live in New York, they're gonna come after me for something. They might knock on my door and be like for no reason. I'm gonna look and be like, wait, wait, what? Oh, oh, that's right. The podcast. God damn it.

SPEAKER_02

Chris. Yo, listen, I tell my wife this all the time. I mean it with every ounce of fiber in my body. If these motherfuckers want to, you you think we all think we live in a free state, a free country. If these motherfuckers want to come in and just ruin lives, they just do it. It makes shit up. Scares the shit out of me.

SPEAKER_01

Make shit up. I mean, uh, you you watch some of these podcasts uh of some of these ex-CIA. I know a lot of it's bullshit and propaganda, but you just see some of these interviews of what they're doing, what they've done, what they're capable of. Man, god damn it. They just make it up. Government's scary. They just make it up. I love my country. I I I love I love everything about it. But but who's making the rules? God damn, they can scary muff. They could disappear anybody they want. I can't, I can't wait.

SPEAKER_02

I can't wait to get to the FIFA portion of this because this is hilarious. But like, who makes the rules? So if you gamble $25 or or this, that, or the other, no good. Lie to the public, lie to the world, no problem. Like, who makes the rules? Want a big pension? Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Go along with that, a little ice cream. Hey, go on ABC. I will say this though. Whoever his lawyer is giving him phenomenal advice. Yeah, just plead the fifth. Just don't say nothing. You've already been pardoned. Anything you say, if you say your soup was cold, can be used against you. So say nothing. Just plead the fifth.

SPEAKER_02

So, another issue going on, again, tying sports to this political shit that we just live with nowadays. Um, Sophie Cunningham. I I I can't even believe that we are at this. Now, I'm gonna piss the world off with this one. I'm gonna piss the world off with this one because really this is.

SPEAKER_01

I'm laughing because you pissed them off off.

SPEAKER_02

This is just gonna get me in so much trouble, but I don't care. Okay, you women brought this upon yourselves. Oh, Jesus. Okay, no, they did. Okay, because for years, for years, you've peddled the notion that you can compete with men. You cannot. Serena Williams did a talk show where she said if she played Andy Murray, she would lose 6060 in under 10 minutes, got lambasted for it. She told the truth. Okay, for women for for years, you women have said, yo, yo, our US soccer national team played a Dallas high school team and lost six to two. Okay, you cannot compete with men. What which is you're not supposed to. No problem. Sophie Cunningham, I love this girl, okay? And I love what she did in terms of sticking up for women, sticking up for young girls. That we should have not we should not have biological men playing in women's sports. She said this, the world goes on fire. Are you fucking kidding me? Now I don't have daughters, all right? I have three. Okay. Did they play sports? Did any of the daughters play sports? No. Okay. If I had a daughter who played a sport and she had to compete against a biological man, I'd be like, this is the biggest joke ever in the history of life. Who came up with this idea? You have the Special Olympics, great. You have the male Olympics, great, you have the women Olympics, great. If you guys are so if you just have the transgender Olympics, go do it. You know why you won't? Because no one will watch it, they'll take a bath on for you'll get killed.

SPEAKER_01

Just have all the rich gay people in the world pay for it. I mean, what the hell? Or anybody that like I don't even have to be gay to care.

SPEAKER_02

I'm just saying, I don't care who's gay, who's I don't care. What someone does is their own private thing. I don't care.

SPEAKER_01

All right, but but kudos to her for speaking common sense and truth. You know, okay. So here's my question to you why is that common sense though? But it's just common sense. But why? Why have we gotten there that we need this said? Listen, you you know, we've talked about this. I have a very liberal daughter, and and her and I have gone battles on this kind of stuff, and and bat and it all comes down to once they are put in a corner and and they don't have an answer because you it's so easy to beat them with arguments and common sense. Sure. What do they do? They start screaming and yelling and tell you to leave them alone. So, you know, that's where safe spaces come into it. They can jump in that little safe space and you know, not be bad.

SPEAKER_02

Safe sport, right? Yeah, safe space and safe sport. Here's the thing with Sophie Cunningham, right? Here, here's and I'll I this girl, I'm with her, okay. I I do enjoy watching her. She's one of the She's gonna get destroyed now, though. No, I actually not, and she shouldn't. A lot of people, a lot of females are saying, Thank you, Paige, because biological men should not be competing against women in no fucking way. Biological men should not be in bathrooms with women. Shit should never happen, okay? Um, women's sports should be for women's sports and let them compete at a high level. Let them compete at their level.

SPEAKER_01

There's even an amendment for it. Isn't what the 17th Amendment or whatever?

SPEAKER_02

Whatever, but here's here's the here's how full of shit everyone is. Okay? If there was there was a boxing match, I forget the names.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I remember that.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. Oh there was no line on it. Why? Why was there no line on this? Because the sports books knew should have been 100,000 the one. Correct. I mean and they still take a bathroom. You know, because you know what I would have done? I would have mortgaged everything I owned and put it on the biological man against the poor female that has to deal with this. Literally every dollar. I would have pawned my wife's wedding ring, I would have put the sneakers off. Well, I can get $14 for these things to make two grand. Yeah, yeah. It's just a guaranteed $2,000. It's a guaranteed $2,000. Right? But the sports books would never have a line on it. Why? Because they know the biological man is gonna kick the fuck out of the girl, which should never be allowed. So, Sophie Cunningham, good for you. Biological men should not be in women's sports. I cannot even believe we got here in society.

SPEAKER_01

I can't even believe we're having this conversation. It's insane. And I mean, listen, regardless who you like in politics, if the Republicans didn't win the last election, this shit would have been so much worse. I mean, we we would be having this conversation now at a much deeper level. Like there was so much, and thank God there's been some common sense brought back into it. And there's been some laws and executive orders passed to stop it, but it's just downright insane. Why am I even why are we even having this conversation? So my first two daughters, I still have an 11-year-old who looks like she's gonna be an athlete. My other two were very artsy, right? They were into singing and and theater, and one of them even went to college for it. So I didn't have to worry about that, but it scares the shit out of me that I would have to even have that concern in the back of my mind that I gotta stand outside to watch to make sure no men are going in the locker room with my daughter. I mean, are you are you kidding? Can you imagine what you or I would do if you saw one of them go in there? I mean, I go to jail. Me too. Happily, that's a problem with my hand up. Yeah, yeah, happily like this.

SPEAKER_02

So let's let's keep it going because this is hypocrisy at its finest level, and we're talking about hypocrisy on Friday. But now we gotta add another element to the hypocrisy. Another layer. Another layer because you know, the elites they just can't be hypocritical. They can't. They gotta add greed to it as well, right? So the so the World Cup.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, where are we going with this?

SPEAKER_02

The World Cup just made $15 billion. That's what it generated in revenue. Now, I I get that FIFA, you know, you know, um disperses the money to its, you know, the members and fine. But they brought in $15 billion in seven weeks.

SPEAKER_01

That's insane.

SPEAKER_02

There was more money wagered in the United States two billion a week. That's insane. That's crazy.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, that's not that's not good enough. That doesn't include the gambling aspect.

SPEAKER_02

No, no, no, no, not the gambling. This is just marketing, ticket sales, concessions, right? Um how much did the sports books do on the show? Oh my god. They they did they did the equivalent of ten Super Bowls.

unknown

Wow.

SPEAKER_02

They did the equivalent of ten Super Bowls. Um, but now you have this story going out where um this guy, Gianni Infantino, who is who runs FIFA, who's the president of FIFA, right? I know who you're talking about. He's trying to sell private equity to private investors for the World Cup. And he's trying to get 20 billion. So UEFA, UEFA, they lost their minds, right? They have now boycotted the next World Cup. So now if UEFA's out, that means England, France, Spain, you know, all of the Europe countries out, which why bother watching the World Cup? Also, the World Cup wants to expand to 64 teams. So they used to be at 32, they went to 48, now they want to go to 64. Okay, whatever. All right. But here is my issue. Here is my issue with this. Who is of the 20 billion they're trying to raise? Who is the lead investor? A guy by the name of Joshua Kushner.

unknown

Oh.

SPEAKER_02

Who's the brother of Jared Kushner?

unknown

Oh.

SPEAKER_02

Who's married to Trump's daughter? And what did we see? The whole the World Cup final? Trump sitting next to Infantino. Okay. Also, when Balogun got the world got the red card, who called up?

SPEAKER_01

Which was the worst thing he could have done. At first, I was like, Yeah, good job. We're gonna have one of our better players out there, you know, arguably our best player, and then they just took a big shit. And it was because of all the nonsense going on.

SPEAKER_02

Why does it why was that guy allowed to play? And then it comes out because Trump, you know, he's gotta say, gotta tell you, I made the phone call.

SPEAKER_01

I don't even know what a red card is.

SPEAKER_02

Now all of a sudden, your son-in-law's brother is the lead investor to get this $20 billion equity stake in the World Cup. Folks, there's a club. We ain't in it, and everyone out there involved in this is completely full of shit.

SPEAKER_01

I bet you gotta sign it in blood, make a prick in your hand or something, and sign the contract.

SPEAKER_02

The shit that goes on, the hypocrisy is at such high levels. If this was 250 years ago, everyone would die.

SPEAKER_01

Wouldn't that all be considered like the swamp? Wouldn't that all be like that deep state or whatever? The Illuminati, yeah, we got you know, the all C and I are now dollars. Jesus Christ. Oh, this is crazy. I'm tired of this bullshit. I'm waiting. When when is the the whole thing with the Martians in the sky gonna happen? Exactly. I mean, seriously, that's just a matter of time before they try to do something with that, right?

SPEAKER_02

You know what I've said forever.

SPEAKER_01

All the movies are happening, so you know it's happening.

SPEAKER_02

Was God, I would just throw an asteroid at the whole fact of the planet. I put all the dogs in a cave where they don't get affected. I throw an asteroid at the planet.

SPEAKER_01

That's what I would do. He's already done something like that. I mean, we had the great flood, we had the ice age of the dinosaurs. I mean, there's been a quite a few things that have fucked us up in the past. Uh, I'm just hoping it doesn't happen for you know quite a quite a long time.

SPEAKER_02

So I'll tell you, I always try to tell a personal story on this thing. Um I don't know where you think I'm gonna be with this. So I've been I'm not gonna I've mentioned his name on a podcast before, but in this particular instance, I'm not gonna mention it. But uh I've been best friends with a guy now almost 30 years, right? And I feel like recently he was trying to tell me something. He's like, I fucked up. Okay? I did something I shouldn't have, right? So I don't want to have that conversation on the phone or whatnot. He goes, Well, I you know, I've done something I shouldn't have. And uh he's trying to talk to me. And I have no interest. Like, so I say his name and I go, Did you hurt a dog or an animal? It's the truth. He knows he's watching this. Okay. He said, No, I did not. I said, then I do not care. Oh, Jesus. I don't care.

SPEAKER_01

Your friend is reaching out to you. You're a man. You're supposed to be your friend. I'm not your friend. You're like, he's watching this right now. Why do you think he's watching this? I'm not a psychiatrist, he's your friend. Go spend the $350 on a psychiatrist. Do you know what I tell my kids? Don't waste your money on a therapist. Your friends are your therapists. They'll give you great advice if they care about it. I mean great advice. That doesn't mean I'm not against the psychiatric industry or I gotta throw a little disclosure in there.

SPEAKER_02

No, I am. They're a bunch of idiots, too.

SPEAKER_01

Some of them do some good. Really? Yeah, some of them do some good. Yeah, I I think they just that was bad advice telling them to just listen to their friends. But you, you're terrible. No, yeah. Oh, you're not hurting anybody? Fuck off. I don't care.

SPEAKER_02

No, no, I didn't say anybody. You didn't hurt. No, what kind of friends you didn't hurt an animal?

SPEAKER_01

But he just wants to talk to you. He's reaching out. I have no interest. Your best friend, 30 years. No interest.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

No, you're a grown man. Whatever you fucking did. The reason why I'm yelling at him, folks, it's that's the way he is, period. Even in the office, if I try to get his attention, don't care. He needs to know the pretense. If I'm like, you got five minutes about what?

SPEAKER_02

Is this some bullshit that I don't want to do?

SPEAKER_01

It has anything to do with your kids. No.

SPEAKER_02

But yeah, so that that listen, that's how I am. Did you ever find out what he did? No, I did not. Nor do I care. Nor do I care. I don't care. You know?

SPEAKER_01

Did you fuck my wife? Change best friends, whoever you are. Change best friends. Make a dog. Did you hurt a dog? No. You know what you should do. You should take a picture of yourself doing something like with an animal. He'll freak out.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yeah. No. No, no. That's why I draw the line. Animals don't actually hurt the animal.

SPEAKER_01

No way.

SPEAKER_02

No way. But again, it goes back to the very start of this podcast. We got Fred Davis from The Fan After Dark, number one rated sports show, uh, evenings in Dallas. He'll be a friend of the friend of the podcast, comes on quite often. And we're gonna have some fun today. Um, but it goes back to hey, there's a club, we ain't in it. Um, if you gamble illegally, the world your world is over. Right? Um, God forbid if you gamble legally and hit a casino for 20,000, that's no good either. Right? That don't work, they don't want to give you the money. The scams that they are.

SPEAKER_01

Um if you start to win, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yeah, sports books.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, oh yeah, they shut you down. Your limits are like one day they're taking 20,000. God forbid you hit them for 200 grand, you let it $3.87. Like some made up, stupid number. And someone out there, that if you don't think that is true, we have the checks to prove it. Oh, I I've got tons of proof. Getting shut down. It's unbelievable. Yet other guys can make two million before then, bro. Cut them down.

SPEAKER_02

It's all this entire thing is a scam. And you know, there's this old saying, you're either in on a scam or you're being scammed, and 99.999% of the animals that ever walk this fucking earth are being scammed. You know, it is what it is. Sports, politics, otherwise.

SPEAKER_01

How do we get in the club? Yeah, how do you know? If you know how to get in the club, hit me up. I don't need to give the number out because I know you know it. Oh man, is the devil the devil's thought? Hey, uh, your soul. No, eternal damnation. You know, that's that shit's not up for sale.

SPEAKER_02

No, I'm not no, the soul is not up for sale. Up for sale, but I would like to hear the sales pitch.

SPEAKER_01

What are you offering? I wouldn't mind hearing the pitch. You know what the pitch is. What's the pitch? What will make you a billionaire this lifetime, but eternally you're mine. Wait, I turn it down. Fuck all. But I would like to hear the pitch. Yeah, I I'd like to hear the presentation. Absolutely. And then the clothes. Is it a PowerPoint?

unknown

Right?

SPEAKER_02

Then with his boards, hey Chris, this is what I can do for you. Start writing. But this is what you got up to give back. Your film is burning up. I mean, like, where's the club? Who's in the club, man? Go lie to the American people, get pardoned for it. Get the club. If we if we got indicted, right, for sports man, for sports campaign, and we do nothing illegal, right? And we stood out in front of Congress and just say, I plead the fifth. My advice.

SPEAKER_01

On the advisor council, I'd be totally believed with the merit.

SPEAKER_02

You clowns would be like, this is crazy. I get ripped apart for it. That guy was out walking with his wife 10 minutes later and cashing a check.

SPEAKER_01

Cashing a check that we paid for.

SPEAKER_02

But again, let me go say dolphins on on um on QAM on a Saturday morning.

SPEAKER_01

It's unbelievable, man. It's it's mind blowing.

SPEAKER_02

All right, keep it right here, man. We got Fred Davis from Fan After Dark coming on. My boy JR. Close this out before Fred comes on.

SPEAKER_01

Guys, be safe. Have fun. Let's go out there and make some money.

SPEAKER_02

All right, back here on the Bet Big Talk Loud podcast. I got Fred Davis live from the vehicle, the car. I love having Fred on. I wore my special NBA champions and my NBA champions hat. New York Knicks.

SPEAKER_00

It's a good feeling. It is a good feeling.

SPEAKER_02

You know, I don't want, I mean, I feel like the Kansas City Chief reign of terror is over.

SPEAKER_00

You sound like my you feel like I you sound like my co-host. You you realize in the last two weeks. So I've I've given up nicotine. I don't know where you're at on nicotine.

SPEAKER_02

No, caffeine for me, bro.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, well, so I've given up nicotine. I've I've been a 25 year smoker, um, and I'm 16 days. Uh God bless anybody that can quit. When they say that it's worth the the withdrawals are worse than heroin, believe them. Um, so I've been smoking black and mild for 30, almost 30 years.

SPEAKER_02

Man, there you go.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you know the vibes. You know the vibes. Wood tip, let's not get it twisted. And um, me and my co-host got into it last night. Uh, I confronted a guy on Westwood One radio two weeks ago because I thought he jacked one of my segments. So, you know, I mean, look, everybody's coming at your boy right now. Did he jack the segment? Did he actually do it? He said he didn't, but I I mean you know, look, I look let's just put it like this walks like a duck, sounds like a duck. What is it? I'll just say this much. The segment, it's a it's called Fairfal, and it's not you look, you're a sports guy. Fair foul's not the most abnormal sports term in the world, so that that alone is not grounds for hey, you stole my shit. But it cadence-wise and the way it was presented, sure sounded a lot severe Uber, eerily severe fine, and guess where he broadcasts out of Dallas.

SPEAKER_02

So listen, if my boy Fred Davis, who is to me the most trusted voice in the media, because you know I can't stay in the media, but I will listen to anything you say. If you say it, I'm sure it happens because you are my boy.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, I appreciate that, dude.

SPEAKER_02

Um, so let me get right to it, man. Lot lots of big the you know, obviously, I I hate talking about this guy, but it just he just never goes away. So were you shocked LeBron James went to Philadelphia? Did that shock you?

SPEAKER_00

No, no, it really didn't. It really didn't. And and I'm I I I'll say I'm gonna tell you the same thing, and your your viewers and your listeners, I'm gonna tell them the same thing that I said on my own radio show. Uh, two things. One, don't ever, ever tell me that he's the GOAT over Michael Jordan, and he is he has eliminated himself from that conversation. And then number two, I get why he did it. I get why it's a lot of things.

SPEAKER_02

Tell me why. Tell me why you get why he did it. I I do I get why he did it from uh trying to ring chase, but to me, and before I'll let you take the floor on this, if you're gonna take 8 million from Philadelphia, why not you just take it from LA and let them build a team and and compete there and and retire there? That was my whole thing.

SPEAKER_00

Because you you because you're not gonna win in LA. You you you can win in Philly, all right? I mean, he he's LeBron we I I think by by going to Philly, LeBron said the quiet part out loud that you know, even us that are not like I think you and I are on the same page. While there's things about LeBron we don't like, we can at least respect his basketball ability, right? Like we can at least respect the fact that this guy's done what he's done at a high level for 20 plus years. Now, that said, LeBron's tired, man. I mean, you saw it at the end of that Houston series. I get it. He was great for the first three games, and then he fell off a cliff, okay? And it wasn't like he was great against Oklahoma City. I mean, he's 42. Like the the cracks in his immortal foundation are starting to show. And and you know what? I'm not saying that to belittle the guy. I'm just saying, like, you know, again, what's the old saying, Chris? Father time is undefeated. And even with LeBron, it's starting to show. And I think he's he's making us a quiet admission that you know what? I'm not, I'm done carrying teams. I'm at the stage of my career where I am okay being the third or in maybe some cases, the fourth option because I want to win a title, I want to go out on top, and I don't care if I win a title with my third team or fourth team or whatever it's gonna be at yeah, fourth team at this point. You know, he can at least say who's done that, you know. Again, he'll never surpass Jordan in that conversation, as far as I'm concerned, by turning the Philadelphia 76. Yeah, it's already done. Okay, he he eliminated that. But will we at least put some respect on his name if he goes out? Because here's the thing we all everybody's like, oh, well, they're a shoe-in. You still gotta beat OKC. You still gotta beat King and tell me. Wait, wait, wait, wait, no, but wait, what OKC?

SPEAKER_02

You still gotta beat your Knicks. You gotta beat the Knicks. Well, even you jumped to the Western conference. What is this? Blastoise. No, no, you're right.

SPEAKER_00

I have concerns about the Knicks. But that being said. What concerns?

SPEAKER_02

They just won the championship.

SPEAKER_00

They went 16-3. I don't disagree. I don't disagree. Uh hey, don't discount what Mitchell Robinson. Mitchell Robinson is I don't know that we did do we have, and I look, but although I play for the money. I love the Andre Drummond move. I love the Andre Drummond move.

SPEAKER_02

It's a good move, but it's not Mitchell Robinson. Mitchell Robinson deserved his money. The Knicks couldn't give it to him. He went to Boston. There is not one Knicks fan that is gonna sit down and boo that guy when he comes back to the garden. He is gonna get a stand in ovation and he deserves it.

SPEAKER_00

You here's the thing Mitchell Robinson, for him to be able to just lean on Wimby, he just gave Wimby fits. He did. Okay, and I don't think enough. And see, I think Andre Drummond can do the same thing. Like if the Knicks get back to the finals, uh, I think Andre Drummond, because the the Knicks showed, I mean, obviously Jalen Brunson's a freak, so let's get that out of the way. Um, OG Annobi, I mean, uh maybe one of the greatest finals performances from a number two guy ever. Uh, but but Mitchell, man, I mean, for what he did to just lean and wear on Wimby, which is what Chet couldn't do, which is what uh who's the other dude? Isaiah Hartenstein, he couldn't do, former Nick, he couldn't do. So, no, man, uh all with all due respect, but you're right. The 76ers, and I'm you you're right. We are putting the card in front of the horse a little bit because, again, your Knicks are gonna have to have something to say about it. I think the Celtics are gonna have to set have something to say about it when it's all said and done. So, but bringing it back to LeBron full circle, um, I again I'm not mad at him for it. I'm really not, and I think this subtly shows that the LeBron we have come to know, love, and loathe uh is in that final twilight of his career officially.

SPEAKER_02

So the things that uh you you mentioned it five minutes ago about his brilliance on the basketball court and and his talent is insane. For me personally, I can't stand the guy because he flops all over the place. Like, let me ask you a question. Honestly, if I gave you so so so who are some of the greatest floppers of all time? Vladi Divac was was an incredible flopper. Um, Mano Ginobli flopped all over the place. Absolutely. Chris Paul is a flopper. Um LeBron, former teammate who I think he learned it from. Remember Anderson Varajau? He would just get knocked over. So if I gave you those four or five players and said, hey, what LeBron, is LeBron like the top flopper of all time?

SPEAKER_00

LeBron is the greatest flopper in the sense of caliber of player flopper. Like we've now, you know, I mean, look, you know, nobody's gonna Magic, Larry, uh, you know, Vince Carter. I mean, I'm just thinking of names off the top of my head. Scottie Pippen. I mean, those guys were dogs. Those guys were, you weren't, I mean, you weren't gonna see them flop. I mean, of this generation, and that's I mean, let's call it what it is, man. It's it's of this newest ilk, is is what LeBron does, right? And and you know, I I mean, I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

If you're a consider yourself the king, the greatest of all time, you don't flop. And if you consider yourself the king and the greatest of all time, I don't believe you leave. Okay. Uh Isaiah didn't leave, Magic didn't leave, Michael didn't leave. I don't count the last two years in Washington when he was a minority owner. Yeah, that was already done. Kobe didn't leave, even though he he demanded a trade a couple times. That was to put pressure on the organization. Absolutely. Yo, Larry Bird didn't leave. The greatest of all time didn't leave. And then there's this guy just going from one spot to another, to another, to another, just to give himself the best opportunity to win. And he's got two full season NBA titles. Two. Because the first one he won with Miami was not a full season NBA title, and the one he won in the bubble wasn't a full season NBA title. He's won two full season titles.

SPEAKER_00

Wait a minute, what do you mean the one in the one what do you mean the one?

SPEAKER_02

No, they had a lockout. It was 63 or 66 games. The first one, the first or second one in Miami was not a full season.

SPEAKER_00

Get out of here. That is a that's one of those stats that nobody thinks about. No, was not a full season. I'll tell you what, you you I you you talk about like you talk about LeBron like he owes you money.

SPEAKER_02

No, I just I don't think he owes me money, although I would love to take some from him, I'm not gonna lie, he's got more than me.

SPEAKER_00

Um I feel like the very least a pair of signed sneakers.

SPEAKER_02

I feel you and I are around the same age. And we grew up, we grew up watching Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.

SPEAKER_01

We did. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

We did. And I think it's the generation now that's being raised that is just soft. And I feel like they grew up watching LeBron James. That's just the way I feel.

SPEAKER_00

It's just uh it's funny because my co-host, who's 26 and he's a diehard LeBron fan. Of course. Even he was, even he, but I I'll say this. Even some of the LeBron stands uh are are are it's funny. They're more disappointed about him going to Philadelphia than I am. I like and I guess it's because at this point, yeah, because they're because it they real they know for a fact that this kills his his anybody that's trying to hold that LeBron is better than MJ DeBay, it's squashed at this point. It's done. Like you you can't you're not gonna tell me that LeBron James is better than Michael, especially after going to Philly. And he can win it. Look, even if he wins a fifth title in Philly.

SPEAKER_02

It's no means nothing. I mean, I look I'll give it a few. Would have meant something to me if he won again in LA. I agree.

SPEAKER_00

Would have meant something to me. I agree. I I agree wholeheartedly, especially now. Especially now, even with Luca. Uh you know, and I'm gonna tell you what, just real quick, just real quick, uh, just off topic. Uh does that Luca for Cooper flag trade look so bad? Does it look so bad? That's all I'm gonna say. That's all I'm gonna say.

SPEAKER_02

It looks it it it's it got a guy fired. It's a terrible trade. It's the worst trade ever.

SPEAKER_00

No, no, no. Look, no, no, no. It's a great trade. No, you wait.

SPEAKER_02

Wait, you didn't trade him for Cooper. You didn't know. I mean, I you you I know you your theory, you think the NBA set it up, which I love.

SPEAKER_00

I'm telling you, how can you deny it? I'm telling you, absolutely they set it up, absolutely they set it up. I mean, that they you you you traded Luca for Cooper Flag and uh uh and Anthony Davis.

SPEAKER_02

So I I gotta ask you, I gotta ask you something about Dallas, and I know you're a very popular host down there, and I don't want to get you in trouble. So if you don't want to answer this, don't answer it. All right.

SPEAKER_00

Uh oh.

SPEAKER_02

Why does your city that you so eloquently represent with your very good, very great radio show? Thank you. Why are they allergic to great players? Why do they let a Luca go or a Jalen go or a Micah Parsons go? Okay, Doctor Let George. All right, all right, all right. No, I can answer that all day.

SPEAKER_00

I can answer that all day for you. Jalen Brunson was Jalen, okay. So Jalen Brunson, they didn't technically let go. Okay. It was kind of a guess they did. They didn't offer money. Okay. No, they did actually, no, they did offer money. But here's what happened. They they they a couple things. They the the story of Jalen Brunson is this, and I know this on on you and I've talked about this before.

SPEAKER_02

You're an expert down in Dallas. Shoot.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I wouldn't say expert, but here's the thing. I I'll tell you this much, because I wasn't here in Dallas yet when that went down, but I I've got sources that were connected to it. And and and so here's what happened. When the Jalen Brunson thing went down, you know, in year four is when he kind of finally started to take off because Rick Carlisle had him pretty much riding on the bench. Jason Kidd comes up, boom, lets him play, lets him do his thing, and then him and Luca finally get a little one-two punch going and what have you. Where the where the where the match screwed up, though, was uh Jalen's team at the beginning of his last year in Dallas came to him, came to the Dallas Mavericks and said, Hey, look, we we're ready to do a deal. All right. And Dallas said, uh, we're not ready yet. Okay. Well, then, then we got close to the trade deadline. They came back to him one more time at uh the Jalen's team and said, Hey, or not, I'm sorry, around December. And they said, Hey, we want to do a deal. And they they came up with like, I don't know, it was like 50, 60 million dollars or something like that like that. Dallas came back and said, uh, we're not ready yet. No thanks. We'll we'll get back to you. Well, then trade deadline comes around, February, March, somewhere in there. Dallas trades off some pieces. Jalen's starting to get into his bag a little bit, starting to be like, okay, you got something here. Uh-oh, one, two punch, you and Luca. We might have the future of our team here. Dallas comes back and says, Okay, now we're ready to come to the uh the negotiating. That's exactly what they said. And Jalen Steve said, you know, we're so so again, it wasn't like they necessarily quote unquote let him walk as much as if it was just bad front officing by them because they were more concerned about, hey, we got to make sure we get things right, you know. And this is where Mark Cuban, who's over here bitching and moaning about, oh, this happened, and no, no, no, you fucked this up. You you you let this thing so to your point, they didn't quote unquote let him walk as much as it was just bad negotiating on their part.

SPEAKER_02

So you had Luca generation let him go. Um, you trade him. Uh Jalen Brunson, I'll give you no one knew he was going to turn into Jalen Brunson. And and and that's and that's the other side.

SPEAKER_00

Let's not pretend, and even even look, even Knicks fans, and and I'm not look, I love it when great when good players become great, okay? Like I who doesn't you again, you and I are the same age. We're 80s and 90s babies. We uh uh Jalen Jalen Brunsons don't come along very often, nope, right? Second round picks, guys that blow up, you know. You you know, Gilbert Arenas could have been that guy, but he's an idiot. All right, and and and you we we we we realize it, okay? Yeah, great basketball player, awful teammate. What makes Jalen Brunson great is the fact that he is such an amazing teammate. And you, of all people, can appreciate this. You know, we're both, we're both, you know. Look, I know everybody loves a girl dad. Well, you know what? Let's look, let's show some love to boy dads as well, okay? Like, I get it. Girl dads are great and it's cool, and hashtag girl dad. But you know what? Let's not forget about the the boys out there. And you know, you got boys, I got a son. That when seeing Jalen Brunson and and his dad uh hug it out after the championship, and when when I can't think, I think it was Cassie Hubbard who asked him, you know, what does this mean and to win a title with your dad? And he just he didn't have anything, he couldn't say. Yeah, he just he was trying to fight back tears. And I know I don't know about you, but I know for me, hell, I was fighting back tears because it was just to see that moment to to know that him and his dad put in the work. Because here's the thing we always hear about the Richard Williams, we hear about the the the Tiger, you know, Earl Woods, and we always hear about how debaucherous they were and how insane they were, you know, Todd Morenovich's dad and all this kind of stuff. It's actually refreshing to see a dad who worked his son's ass off, sure, and the son comes back and says, you know what? I did this because of my pops.

SPEAKER_02

You know, that to me was there's a great I saw it on Instagram about two months ago and I sent it to all of my boys. I I never really thought of it like this. When you have boys, right, there is one man in their life that wants them to be better than him. That's their fault. That's it. That's their fault. That's it. I want my boys to accomplish more than me, and I'm the only man that any other man they run into is gonna want to accomplish. More than them. I want my now I have three and I had to be in fist fights with two of them, right? But yeah, that happens though. You know, you're boys. Yeah, you fuck up, you get a punch thrown at you. It is what it is.

SPEAKER_00

That's a lot of that's a lot of God. I tell you what, God bless your wife. My God. That's a lot of that's a lot of just male Chris Hodgeness running around. God.

SPEAKER_02

You know what drives me crazy about moms? They always take the fucking boy side. Oh, they always, no matter what this motherfucker is.

SPEAKER_00

You can't win for losing.

SPEAKER_02

And and my middle guy, the the biggest fight we ever got into is he was a slick motherfucker, man. He walked by me one day and puffed at me. But no one saw him do it. Only I saw him do it. He did it secretively.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, he did.

SPEAKER_02

And that's it. Now you gotta go get him. Got to. Gotta go get him.

SPEAKER_00

Because if he thinks he can get away with that, then all hell breaks loose.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, then I'm the bad guy. My mother-in-law called me an animal.

SPEAKER_00

I had to apologize. I'm sure that something tells me that's not the first time your mother-in-law.

SPEAKER_02

Well, no, and my mother-in-law, God rest the soul, man. She was just she was just the best woman in the world, man. Um, I had to apologize to her, right? But here was how the apology started. I had a text her. I'm like, all right, I'm gonna say I'm sorry to you, but I want you to know I'm really not sorry. That's literally what I texted. That's how I started the conversation. That's it. That's it, bro. That's how I started the conversation.

SPEAKER_00

Um, you know what? You're staying on business, as the kids say.

SPEAKER_02

So uh I know you're down in Dallas. You're a big Chiefs fan. Chiefs 14-1 to win the Super Bowl. Um looking for a big comeback story from Pat Mahomes, you know, off the ACL. Um, anyone who thinks that they're not a dangerous team in the uh uh you know AFC is an idiot, you know. Um saw Travis Kelsey walking into camp though the other day.

SPEAKER_00

Thank you. Thank you. Your words not mine.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, but I saw Travis Kelsey. Uh Travis Kelsey. He looked a little ahead. He looked like me.

SPEAKER_00

Travis Kelsey looked like he's moving to left tackle. Yeah. No, Travis Kelsey looks like he's moving to left tackle. Um if if I'm if I'm upset with the Chiefs about anything, I mean I'm not is is the fact that they're they're rolling out with the same tack or tight end group. Noah Grace sucks. Uh Jared Wiley is is is has shown you nothing, and you're you're you're banking on an undrafted free agent. So um I I I get it. He's a legend. Let him go out on his own. But the fact that you know you didn't go get Kenyon Sadiq. Uh two years ago, you had Sam Laporta sitting there. You didn't you passed on him for Felix, uh, whatever the hell his last name is. He's been a bust. So, you know, and you've done nothing to go out and upgrade that position. That could be an issue. Uh, that's my only that's my biggest question mark going into the season is the tight end group.

SPEAKER_02

All right, so over to the NFC. Uh obviously I got you on the on the horn right now. So what do you think about Dallas? Dallas is 22-1. Uh obviously America's team. They're always in the conversation.

SPEAKER_00

Super Bowl or bust. Yeah. Super Bowl or bust.

SPEAKER_02

Which I don't understand because they haven't been relevant in terms of the Super Bowl for quite for quite some time. That's all right. 22 to 1. Uh let's let's start with their prospects inside the division. I believe they're better than Washington. I believe they're better than the Giants. Do you think they're better than Philly?

SPEAKER_00

Uh, I think they'll be better coached, yes.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, really?

SPEAKER_00

They got better. I mean, look, they look, if if if I'm I'm telling you right now, I'm I'm telling you, absolutely, I'm telling you right now. If Christian Parker is just half as good as people have said he is, uh, this team's gonna go 11-6, probably 12-5, and we'll make a Super Bowl run. This offense, the thing that no one's talking about when it comes to Cowboys' offense, number one, you're returning all five starters back on uh on offense on the offensive line. CD and that's number one.

SPEAKER_02

CD Pickens and Dak is a dangerous combination.

SPEAKER_00

Uh I'm gonna tell you right now, George Pickens, and and I said this on my show last night, and I want everybody to remember this set being said today. The question a year from now, or actually won't even be it won't even be a year, it'll be seven or eight months from now, is do the Cowboys extend George Pickens or do they trade C.D. Lamb? That's gonna be the question. Really? Absolutely. He he's George I'm telling you right now, George Pickens is going to have a Puka Nakua, Justin Jefferson like season. I'm guessing probably around 1,400, 1,500 yards, probably eight or nine touchdowns, and will be an absolute freak of a he's in a contract year. Like he's got look, he's good, he's shown up to meetings on time. The best thing the Cowboys did, and I know we like the clown Jerry Jones, and rightfully so, but the best thing the Cowboys did was the way they they tagged him this year was they said, you know what? Here's the deal. We're gonna tag you. But if somebody trades for you, hey, we get two first-round picks, you get the bag, you're good. Okay. Guess what? Guess what the NFL said? Nobody wants you. Nobody wants you. In fact, nobody wants you, but let well look, somebody wants Jalen Waddle. Yeah, nobody, Jalen Waddell on his best day isn't fucking George Pickens, okay? Like George Pickens is a freak of nature. I agree. All right, so I'm telling you right now, barring injury, and you, you know, we we know the NFL, so you gotta put that caveat in there. Uh, if the defense is just good enough, I'm telling you right now, this is a top three offense, and this is a team that is a viable Super Bowl threat.

SPEAKER_02

All right, so I that that is um uh, and you're not a homer, because even though you are from the you're doing radio in Dallas, you're you're a Chiefs guy. I believe they're I believe they're going to win that division. I believe they're I believe they're the best team in that division. I think Chicago is the best team in the North. I think Dallas is better than Chicago.

SPEAKER_00

I like that.

SPEAKER_02

Uh obviously Seattle, San Francisco, we can't go against Seattle because they're Super Bowl champions.

SPEAKER_00

Or the Rams. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So I think it's that division, but that division is gonna beat up each other. So I believe the Super Bowl representative from the NFC comes out of the West. But I got Dallas playing in the conference title game. Dallas will play. I love it. Dallas will play one of those three teams in the conference title game. And the West wins.

SPEAKER_00

We're gonna we're gonna get you, we we gotta bring you on the air this week or next, and uh because we got plenty of time before the season actually starts. People need to hear that. Well, think about it.

SPEAKER_02

If you think about it logically, right? If you think about what we just broke down, forget the NFC South, right? Tampa Bay, Baker Mayfield, forget Atlanta, forget, New Orleans, Carolina, forget, right? Someone's gonna make the playoffs from that division because those are the rules. Forget that.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Um I I I'm not sold on Jalen Hurts, and I I get a lot from that because he won a Super Bowl, but I'm not sold on him. Uh they lose AJ Brown. I think that's a big crutch for them to lose, man. I really do. So I think I think there's three teams in the West, and I think there's Dallas. And I think the three teams in the West beat eat each other up, and I think Dallas plays in the conference championship game.

SPEAKER_00

The 49ers, I have question marks about. Uh they've already gotten off to a wonky start. You know, Ricky Pearsall's done for the year. And, you know, say what you want about the substation argument. I mean, there's something weird about it. Um, and and I would not be surprised if now you will say this about the 49ers. God forbid Brock Purdy gets hurt. You might have the best backup in the NFL in Mac Jones, right? So you you you you you know, it's not like you fall off a cliff. Um, and you're and even though you lost Ricky Pearsall, who let's be real, it's not like he's had any kind of, you know, but you got Debo, you got Mike Evans, you got Stribling, all right. Uh, you know, you got a decent group um at wide receiver. And you gotta help, you know, help if you get a now George Pickens, not George Pickens, George Kittle, meanwhile. Uh, he's coming off what, an ACL?

SPEAKER_02

And he's getting old too, man. He's getting up there and he's gonna be able to get the game.

SPEAKER_00

And he's getting old. And he stays hurt.

SPEAKER_02

So that's my prediction for the NFC. Um take take Kansas City out of the AFC. Um, who do you think gives who do you think makes a run in the AFC? I think Cincinnati and Buffalo are gonna be problems. Um, give me someone else.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, I've already made, I mean, my prediction is Chiefs Cowboys. That's my Super Bowl prediction. So, I mean, you know, I'm going by I'm going with my heart. Uh no, no, I'm gonna tell you why. I'm gonna tell you why. What about Denver? Denver played in the AFC title game last year. They were first. Fuck Denver, okay. Let me tell you something. Let me tell you.

SPEAKER_02

No, I'm biased. Give me no unbiased, man.

SPEAKER_00

Nah, nah, nah, nah. I'm getting no. You know what? Because the haters have come after my boys and I'm sick of it. Let me tell you something. Uh, if I hear one more person try to say that, oh, Mahomes will never make it to another title. He's fallen off. Like, what what what are we watching? What are we watching? Okay. Look, Tom Brady tore his ACL. Like, people forget Tom Brady. And by the way, Tom Brady tore his ACL in the exact same season uh of his career that Mahomes just tore his. All right. So boom, end of that conversation. Number one. Number two, now, I get it. Obviously, not a great start. Nobody had, you know, Bienname's son shooting his wife on their bingo card to start training camp. All right. So that's a little bit of a, oh wow, didn't see that coming. But when that gets when that gets resolved, all right. Look, if anybody can handle bad kids, it's the Kansas City Chiefs coaching step. All right, let's get that straight. All right. Look, she's gonna be fine. She's all right. Um, but you went out and you got Eric Bianamy, you brought him back. I think where people are missing the point, too, is he spent the last two years, or at least the last year anyway, with Ben Johnson over Chicago. Uh I expect a big year out of Eric Bianami and his Chiefs' offense. Oh, by the way, last thing on this offensive front. Do you know where the Chiefs wide receiver coach came from the last three seasons or where they hired him from?

SPEAKER_02

No.

SPEAKER_00

You don't know. I'll tell you where. He was on Matt Nagy's son's high school coaching staff, okay? That's going deep, man. Okay. That's where they got. This kid went from high school to KU to the chief's coaching staff. All right. He had about his you look, you have a better coaching pedigree than the chief former chief uh wide receiver coach does, okay? That said, they finally booted his goofy ass off the team, and they went out and got one of the best wide receiver coaches in the NFL, Chad Shea, who Rob Gronkowski says is the best wide receiver coach he's ever been around, and there would be no Wes Welker or Danny Amendola if there wasn't a Chad Shea. Oh, wait, wait, wait.

SPEAKER_02

Now, can I just push back a little on that? Can I just push back a little? Push back. All right, push back. There would be no Wes Welker, Danny Amendola, or Rob Gronkowski if there wasn't a Tom Brady. If Zach Wilson was throwing those guys passes, then it wouldn't be there.

SPEAKER_00

Well, but here, but again, the coaching's got to start somewhere. I mean, here's the thing, too. We keep talking about that, but you know, I mean, look, it's not like the Chiefs coaching wide receivers have blown up the last few years, and you got Pat Mahomes throwing to him.

SPEAKER_02

So listen, before I let you go, because I know you're busy, you're in the car, and kudos to you.

SPEAKER_00

You and I could do this all night. You already know.

SPEAKER_02

I do have to bring this a little petty of me, but I have to bring this up. Go for it. Go for it. You owe me a steak. You owe me a steak. I do St. John's beat Kansas. You owe me a steak.

SPEAKER_00

Hey, come to come to hey, come to DMW.

SPEAKER_02

But I was gonna DMW. I was gonna go double or nothing because I could eat two steaks. So I'll go double or nothing. You got you got Cowboys Chiefs? That's your Super Bowl? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. All right. I got Rams and Bills.

SPEAKER_00

All right. I like that. I'll take that. I'll take that. Look, look, let that be a separate bet. Let that be a separate bet. Because I you know I love a good steak anyway. Plus, it gives us an excuse to hang out. To get out. So no, no. No, absolutely. Let's do it. Let's do another one. I owe you the steak. I'm good. Uh because I like eating steak too. Hell, I'm gonna go eat one tonight. Uh, but yeah, but yeah, no, give me Chiefs Cowboys all day, every day. I mean, look, it's gonna be a fun NFL season. Um, I I think there's a lot of intriguing storylines as you as you alluded to. Uh, you know, look, Joe Burrow, what does he do this year? What does Cincinnati look like this year? You know, defensive better. I think Joe Brady, look, Joe Brady has got question marks, right? I mean, what is this offense? You know, I mean, look, we we we we we kicked uh Sean McDermott to the curb, and rightfully so. Yeah. All right, well, guess what? Joe Brady, it's it, you know, lights on you. And oh, by the way, have you looked at that uh wide receiver core over in uh Buffalo?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Good not great. Good not great.

SPEAKER_02

I just think at some point, like um with the Knicks winning, I just think God fell asleep. Right? So like he he tortured the Knicks for 53 years, and and the dog just had its day and the Knicks had their day. And I just Yeah, but you know what?

SPEAKER_00

But you know what? Josh Allen ain't Jalen Brunson.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, well that well, Josh Allen's. And here's what I mean by that.

SPEAKER_00

Here's what I here's what I mean by that. Here's what I mean by that. No, no, but here's what I mean by that. You saw that Denver game.

SPEAKER_02

I did.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

We were on Denver Josh Allen big Josh Allen. How many how many throws did Josh Allen miss at that game?

SPEAKER_02

He missed a lot, but Okay, I I mean, and it wasn't like it was it wasn't like look, and he had to fumble. He had to fumble right before halftime.

SPEAKER_00

He had a fumble right before halftime, and he had two or three throws, including there was a pass that was late in the fourth quarter. I think it was Dawson Knox or Kincaid. I can't remember which one of them. I think it was Kincaid, wide open, would have walked into the end zone, would have been the go-ahead touchdown, and he air mails it to me. All right, yeah, man. Those are the th, those are the throws, okay? Look, no one's gonna deny Josh Allen in a great quarterback. We can all, I mean, we know that. We know that. Hell look, Dak, Dak Prescott's a great quarterback, okay? But look, there's a we're we're at this place in the NFL right now, Chris, where you've got a certain, like just very, very small number of quarterbacks, you know, Pat Mahomes being one of them, all right? And then you've got the rest of the Josh Allen's, the Lamar Jacksons, the Dak Prescott's, the Joe Burrows, who we don't, I don't need to see any more of these guys in the regular season. I mean, obviously we have to, but what I'm saying is there's nothing more that I don't care. You can win fucking five more MVPs. I don't give a fuck. Go win a Super Bowl. You're right. Okay, go win a Super Bowl, or at the very least, go get you to a Super Bowl. I don't, I'm not mad at Josh Allen for losing to the Chiefs in the in a divisional round a few years ago when you know Pat Mahomes comes back with 13 seconds left and then doesn't touch the ball in overtime. I'm not mad at Josh Allen for that. That's not his fault. But what is his fault is you you couldn't get it done against Denver when you had opportunities.

SPEAKER_02

Period. Yeah, man. It's so it is what it is. And to your point, one of those guys gotta go win. You know, one of those guys gotta go win. Let's see if it happens. I already know who you got. Like, here's the Fred Davis three-team Pawley for champions. You got the Texas Rangers winning the World Series, the Kansas City Chiefs winning the Super Bowl, Kansas, Kansas winning March Madness. Okay. Yeah, that's the Fred David.

SPEAKER_00

Are we missing anything? That's the Fred Davis right now.

SPEAKER_02

We got hockey. You got the Dallas Stars in hockey. We're going for that.

SPEAKER_00

No, I do not have the I do not have the Dallas Stars in hockey. Uh, I think they took a step back this year, but we'll see.

SPEAKER_02

All right, my brother. Uh love having you on as always. I would love to come on your show.

SPEAKER_00

I apologize for being late, but I'll tell you what. Hey, thank you. Thank Gage for sticking around. I always love coming on this show on your show.

SPEAKER_02

All right, man. Fred Davis, the fan after dark. Make sure you go check that out in the DFW. Fred, thank you very much, brother.

SPEAKER_00

Appreciate you, brother.
