BAD BOY BILLY SLY SEGMENT THE MOVE THE NEEDLE SERIES S2 E1 FEATURING SINGER/SONG-WRITER TRACY J!

SPEAKER_03

This is your boy, Bad Boy Billy Sly. And I am back, Jack, with the Bad Boy Billy Sly segment. And today I have a special guest. I'm bringing in Tracy Steak. And she's gonna come on and rock the house with us and talk about all this music stuff. And then I'm gonna probably try to sneak and see if I can get to do an a cappella or something. Y'all know how hard that is on the show, right? But I'm just saying. So I'm about to bring her in. I think she heard the secret, so I think I missed out on that one. Talk about shoot yourself in the daggone foot. I bring you without any further ado, Tracy C. Hey, Trace.

SPEAKER_00

Hi.

SPEAKER_03

Welcome to the show.

SPEAKER_00

Hi, thank you for having me. I appreciate that.

SPEAKER_03

Well, with a golden voice like you that's just causing all kinds of people to melt in their socks everywhere you go and get on the microphone, I had no choice. So I am bringing you to our microphones and your telephone talking to us about your very nice career in the music industry thus far. So, first of all, let's get this stage name down packed. How did you get your name? Or is this just one of several that you had to go through before you decided on Tracy C?

SPEAKER_00

Well, it's actually Tracy J.

SPEAKER_03

Well, there it is. That's why it's not Tracy C. See, I knew she went through a few of them before she got to the one she wanted. No, I just nicknamed it Tracy C so I can set up the conversation, y'all. I'm just messing around.

SPEAKER_00

Well, the C stands for Chris T, which is my middle name, so that's okay.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, indeed. Yes, indeed.

SPEAKER_00

But I go by Tracy J, tribute artist.

SPEAKER_03

And we know it. And we knew it already. We just playing with you. Yeah, we like goofing around. It's a little Philly flavor in the house. I just like having fun on the show. Just make all kinds of things happen and then fix it in the wash when I talk to the actual person.

SPEAKER_00

Well, he is always good.

SPEAKER_03

Absolutely. Smiling makes the heart grow fun. I they say it about distance too, but you know, I don't I like the other one. So tell us where you got your start.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I started a long time ago as a child singing at three years old. My family. I was adolescent, and I my family, we had a little group, and we weren't trying to be the Jackson Fives, but we were trying to be close to them.

SPEAKER_03

I know you're right.

SPEAKER_00

But I I come from a musically inclined family, and my father was an opera singer, he sang tenor.

SPEAKER_02

Oh wow.

SPEAKER_00

My uncle was a famous Jimmy Smith B. Hammond organist. And I also have a first cousin who's the bass player for Barry Manilo. I see. So music is our is in our blood. And I just grew up and I played a little piano, and my aunt was my piano teacher, so I played a little piano and I let that slide and then I got back into it. So I'm still playing piano now. And fortunately, I came out to California in '99 and met up with a very, very nice young man.

SPEAKER_03

Now, which Barry are we talking about? Uh Barry the Fruit Picker Guy or Barry from Motem?

SPEAKER_00

No, the Bay Area.

SPEAKER_03

The Bay Area Barry. Okay, that's a good barrier to know, I guess.

SPEAKER_00

No, well, the the Barry Manilo I spoke of was the Barry Manilo, who's the an artist who my first cousin is the bass player for.

SPEAKER_02

Outstanding.

SPEAKER_00

And so I got into music, you know, from a from a young age. And when I came out to the California, the Bay Area, Oakland Bay Area. Okay. I'm I met up with a few musicians out here because my uncle was out here performing before he passed away. So I got to know a lot of the music, musical people out here in California, Northern California area. And I um met up with a young lady who was doing a Phyllis Hyman tribute, and she asked me to be her background singer, and I said, of course. And in the interim, her pianist was looking at me, and I was looking at him, and we finally got together, and I finally married him, and he's a professor of music, and he went on to win a Grammy for playing piano with the Count Basie Orchestra. So I'm still in music life here.

SPEAKER_03

Well, you know. And then uh let me interject for a second. I find it quite fascinating that you're in Northern California and you made so many waves thus far, because my experience in Northern California has been quite slow, especially in the suburbs. So do tell.

SPEAKER_00

Well, it's not what you know, it's what you know and who you know. So people say something here, and somebody says something there, and then you prove yourself here, and you prove yourself there, and they said, Oh, okay, well, we can work with her.

SPEAKER_02

Right.

SPEAKER_00

So how how I got to singing with Legends of Motown. I was singing in a karaoke place downtown Jack London Square, and the music producer for The Legends of Motown was in the audience, and he heard me sing, and he came up to me, gave me his card, and asked me to come to his next rehearsal.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, see, that's old school right there, when you're on stage and you get discovered.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it was really interesting because I went to the rehearsal, they had me on the stage to sing a song, and they asked me, Well, do you want to be in a group? And that was in 2003.

SPEAKER_03

Just like that. Snapcrack one pipe.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, so I've been doing the Legends of Motown since 2003. I took a hiatus in 2013 to 2017, and I've been back ever since. And I sing background for most of the groups that are in the Motown show that we do.

SPEAKER_03

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

And I also sing lead with the Martha, Martha Reese, Vandelas, and Marbolettes.

SPEAKER_03

Well, let me ask you this: do you have any originals of your own as well?

SPEAKER_00

Well, my originals I have are just instrumentals right now. Okay. I have one song that is still in the recording stage. I can't talk about because stage, but I do have one song that I'm working on right now.

SPEAKER_03

So if you told me about it, you would have to kill me.

SPEAKER_00

So everybody If I told you I had to kill you.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, we're not gonna have the conversation. We're gonna leave that on a back burner until they're ready to put it out. Yes. And you have a show coming up in the near future.

SPEAKER_00

I do. I have a show, I have a few shows coming up.

SPEAKER_03

Uh-oh. Give us the rundown, give us the calendar dates.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, so the first show that's coming up will be March 28th at the Portuguese hall in Tracy in my own little town, because I live here in Tracy. So this is the first time I get to perform in my own little town.

SPEAKER_02

Wow.

SPEAKER_00

And it is a Motown Jukebox live featuring a gentleman named Classic Man. He goes by the name Classic Man.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

His name is Daryl Prater, and he's gonna be singing Marvin Gaye, and I'll be the Tammy Terrell to his Marvin Gay.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, look at that.

SPEAKER_00

Daryl's wife, Yavette Prater, she's going to be paying a tribute to Gladys Knight. And my niece by marriage, Nicole Pearson, her name, her stage name is Butter. She's gonna be doing a tribute to Aretha Franklin.

SPEAKER_03

Right on.

SPEAKER_00

And the show, it's gonna be a great show because the doors open at 5, and 5 to 6 will be a cocktail hour. From 6 to 7:30 will be a full course dinner meal. And then eight eight o'clock will the showtime will start.

SPEAKER_03

So for those who would like to come, how do they A, get your tickets in advance? And B, is there a special rate with the dinner, or how does that work over there?

SPEAKER_00

It's all inclusive. Um let me see if I could pull up that information about the ticket sales. I'm not sure. And that was one thing I didn't write down.

SPEAKER_03

That's okay.

SPEAKER_00

The cost of the tickets, but I think it's posh.com.

SPEAKER_03

Posh.com? Y'all hear that? Posh.com.

SPEAKER_00

Or you can direct message classic man, and that's a K L A S S I K Man on Facebook, and he has tickets for sale.

SPEAKER_03

Too easy. So y'all can go ahead and go to the show, catch the joint, get fed, get led in the right direction with the right melodies, and just enjoy the night and just funk out, man. That's outstandables. So what else is coming after that?

SPEAKER_00

Okay, after that, let's see, that's March 28th. And so April 4th, the day before Easter, I'll be singing with the Legends of Motown at Thunder Valley up in Lincoln. That's up past Sacramento.

SPEAKER_03

Thunder Valley.

SPEAKER_00

Thunder Valley Casino. That is an 8 o'clock show on the um 4th of April.

SPEAKER_03

Cool. She's gonna be in Thunder Valley 4th of April.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I believe that show starts at 8 8 p.m.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

And then my next show will be June 5th, because I sing background with an Elvis Presley tribute artist from Florida.

SPEAKER_01

All right.

SPEAKER_00

And he travels on when he comes to the West Coast, he has me and another young lady do his backgrounds. And he does about four shows, so I'll be at the Modesto State Theater June 5th.

SPEAKER_03

Good old Modesto.

SPEAKER_00

With Elvis Tribute.

SPEAKER_03

Really nice.

SPEAKER_00

And all the other ones are still up in uh negotiations and checking writers.

SPEAKER_03

Not a problem. Hey, the writer is the way to go. It's for those who don't know. You gotta have the right writer. If you're gonna do a show, you be sitting back wishing you said something before, then get a signature for it, and you'd be sitting there looking for your towel. And give you my five bottles of water. Well, that's on my writer anyway. That's outstanding. Well, I am so glad you slid on and gave us a holla. I just wanted to know if we are not privileged enough to get to your location on your show dates. Do you have a bar or two that you can share with us?

SPEAKER_00

Uh let's see if I can pick something that's really good. Um, this is called End of a Love Affair.

SPEAKER_02

Uh oh.

SPEAKER_01

So I walk a little too fast, and I drive a little too fast, and my voice is too loud when I'm out in a crowd.

SPEAKER_03

Not bad. I can hear the quality in your voice. And oh my goodness. I want to see if I can catch you and Tracy. Get it started, y'all.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah, I'll be doing the Tammy Terrell duets that Marvin gave us Ain't No Mountain High Enough. Nice. Your precious love and build your build my whole world around you.

SPEAKER_03

So that's the same.

SPEAKER_00

You're familiar with those songs?

SPEAKER_03

Of course. Girl, I'm so young, I'm almost 60. And the phone waves don't do you any justice because between the gaps that the cell phone offered into the interview as well, I was able to hear what everyone else might not have been able to hear. And boy, I really enjoyed that.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, thank you so much.

SPEAKER_03

Indeed. Is there anything that you can say to up-and-coming artists or new artists, older artists that just haven't had an opportunity, and not cliché ish, by the way, to get that break. Is there something in the special sauce box that you have that you can offer to help those individuals know a direction, at least in the region in which you are in?

SPEAKER_00

Absolutely. My first suggestion is know your craft, practice your craft, even if you're not doing a show, but also surround yourself with people that know more than you because you always want to learn more, because you don't know who's gonna open that door for you, and be humble. It's very important to be humble and take directive uh uh construct constructive direction, not criticism.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Don't take it as a criticism, take it as constructive direction.

SPEAKER_03

And there you have it.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

Now, for all my fans, friends, and family out there that listens to my show, and I know it's a lot of you who are all the way around the globe. This is one thing I would like to say. Everybody that says they're an expert isn't necessarily an expert either. That's right. The information that you just got was some perspective from a person that has a little I know what I'm talking about. So take that information and take my information, shuffle in your deck of maneuvers and see where the cars may land. And I thank you, Tracy J for being on.

SPEAKER_00

Thank you for having me. I really appreciate it. Absolutely. Oh my goodness.

SPEAKER_03

Well, I'm gonna go to commercial. So everyone, Lottie Dottie, everybody, just stand by, don't run, still have some fun, but you wait right near your TV or wherever you're listening to us from, and we'll be back. And besides, one of the commercials probably is one of ours anyway, so you'll still hear the golden voice of your boy, bad boy, Billy Sly. See you soon. Yo, this is Billy G. I'll be there. Party people got the round and Facebook combo do the ground.

SPEAKER_01

Well, from the looks of it, that didn't get as well to Tech City. Well, how about that? It's nothing like another USB for Slide Tame record. Really? You don't get paid for TV or online streaming a souvenir. What do you mean by that? What does that mean to me? It's like a souvenir. Okay, okay, girls. Quit it. Go in the house.

SPEAKER_03

So basically, what you learned from this situation is the most important. Sly Entertainment Records have come up with a whole new concept, baby. And it's USB. And all of our albums from this point forward is going on Sly Entertainment Records USB. And welcome back to the Bad Boy Billy Sly segment. Let me explain to some of you what the bad boy Billy Sly segment actually means. What is a segment? A part of something, right? Well, I'm a segment of all the podcasts and radio shows and talk shows that are out there. We would like to think we're the best segment. I'm just putting it out there. But I'm about to bring to you a new season. We spoke about many things on my show, and we have seasons. Well, we have a new season. And my new season is going to be done in character. I'm going to have characters on my show. And sometimes I am going to be more than one character on my show. I find it tough to find people who have the actual ability to keep up with the point of view that I am striving for. Because everyone has a point of view. And sometimes they do not know how to remain on the track in which we are traveling. And that's a good segue, by the way. Imagine that we're on a track and we actually have a destination city that we are going to. But this city is not a city. The city is a destination in itself. So get away from the conventional thinking of catching a train and follow me on your caboose attach it to my engine and let's go. So let me tell you how we're going to do this. Today, you're going to always be talking to bad boy Billy Sly. And tomorrow, and every day afterwards. Okay? That's always going to be the case. But you may be talking to Mr. Blank. The blank canvas character. And which I will dedicate to this show. I mean, let's face it. That's what we do as Sly. We entertain. And that's why we are Sly Entertainment. That's what we do with O So Social. O S. O. S O C I A L. All together. Oh so social. Television on Roku. We entertain. So that's what we're going to do. We're going to entertain you with information that pushes the needle forward. If you would like to participate, email us.com. Either participate and request to be a guest. And you could promote what you're doing as well. If we accept the invitation for us to come into your life and broadcast it to our fans, friends, and family. But I'm looking for subjects, not individuals, titles, subject matter to discuss. With the hope of answering your questions. And now who am I to answer your questions? Who am I? What do I have to offer? Well, if you don't know, you better ask somebody. So let's move on. Here are the key components. One, the characters is so I can have dialogue that works. Number two, we are always looking for the destination. Have to have a destination in our conversations. Number three, we have to have an actual conversation. And this helps us to go forward step by step. We're not taking leaps and bounds, mind you. When we get to our destination, that whole lot of information is equivalent to a leap in quantity and growth and value. But it's step by step. And then once you put together all of our leaps, maybe you can make something out of it. If you're young and trying to grow and want to learn, maybe it's a solution or a formula to you making something out of yourself. Not giving nothing but wisdom, even if it's comical. So let's get started. First off, I want to thank Tracy J for coming on the show and hitting some notes for us. Make sure you make it to her next event. She is a tribute artist to what has been known as the greats that have paved the way out there prior to us. That's who she is tributing. Those kinds of people. But in her own rights, she has a voice. I would love to see her turn her voice into a project of her own. That would be really cool. Really nice. So according to her, something is on the horizon. I haven't seen it yet, so I still have that desire. Okay, so I gave my plug and now I'm going to begin the bad boy, Billy Sly segment. And the first segment is two characters at the barber shop. We are not always at the barber shop. We could be in a coffee shop. We can be in the post office. We could be dang near anywhere. But I chose the barbershop to set the pace. The place where people used to go and play chess, checkers, and things of that nature, and on top of that, have conversation that was meaningful to them because they were amongst the same problems in the same neighborhood. Or they visited what success looked like vicariously through someone who was in school who made it on the Philadelphia Eagles or baseball team or the harmonics or whatever circumstances may have been out there. And yes, I'm uh obviously a little Philly flavor in the house, born and raised in Philadelphia. So if I did say the Philadelphia Eagles, obviously that's the first thing that's gonna come out of my mouth. But anyway, so that's where we are. We are in the barbershop. I'm hanging out with Mr. Blank. And me and Mr. Blank, well, we we're gonna have a good conversation. We're going to talk about destination. And that destination is going to be something simple, something easy. So let's do this. Let's paint a broad picture. Because Mr. Blank is a character that doesn't begin to feel until he hears something that begins to make him think. And then when he thinks, like Domino's, he begins to feel. So that's what Mr. Blank is. But Mr. Blank also represents a canvas. A canvas who will be painted on by an artist. So you can call me Da Vinci if you like. I would rather for you to call me Billy Sly, the artist guy. Because I'm about to paint the big picture on how this all will start off, and then one day, not in the near future, it will be a finale. So I hope you guys brace yourselves. Because I am only going to talk about what people really think about and sometimes don't say. I'm giving it all to you. It is what it is, and this is how I do. Like my mother told me, she said, Billy, if you do something and you believe in it, you don't have to hide it. So I'm taking that part of what my mother said and putting it into the show. Now we all know that sometimes hiding isn't really hiding. It's pausing if we obviously have an agenda, right? Because we cannot let everyone know what we're doing before we are ready to pounce. So don't get it twisted. Don't say, bad boy Billy Slot gave me some bad advice. And now look at me. Well, my advice is you don't always let the right hand know what your left hand is doing, and vice versa. Don't do that too early. Because someone may like your idea and jump on it, or you might have lost an element of surprise. Everyone knows about it, and when you do it, it's a dud. Food for thought. So here we go. The big big picture. So mister Blank. Yes. I have a concept that I believe anyone who desires to do anything must heed to. You don't say I do say. I really do say. And let me show you because I only have one opportunity to make a great impression here. And if I don't send chills through the people's heads that hear me today, I may never have a fan again. That's not likely. Yeah, it could be likely though. You know, we can be at times the demise of our own death. Very true. Okay, so here we go, Mr. If you are an individual that's trying to go somewhere, mister, then you first of all need to get a few ideas in your head. And I'm being systematic here. By all means do so. I am. I am indeed. You have to have some ideas on where you want to go and what you want to do. Okay. Okay. So I see you can relate to that thus far. Now I know I have to go a little further with you because unless I get you stimulated, you won't be able to completely relate. So I'm gonna go a little deeper. Go right ahead. We'll do. How you get ideas is by putting your head out there in the world a little bit to see things that interest you. You can't really do it just by being in your own home looking at TV and listening to radio podcasts and things like that. You actually have to participate. You have to physically participate. Okay. Alright. So you see how you came to the barber shop today, and I noticed that your haircut looks really cool. The thing that's killing me is your haircut looked really cool before you walked in. So I know you understand because you already got a cut. Okay. Right. You got a cut. So you came here for knowledge. I believe that you are doing exactly what it was that I say the person must do. They must step out into the world just a little bit. Not to necessarily be a part of the abundance of it, because everything ain't for everybody. But if it's righteous and good, which we know our bodies and our mind function better when we are involved in righteousness and good things. Yes. With that being said, this is where I'm going. You must come out into the world a little bit, look around, and see what you like, and go to sources that make sense. And it seems to me, since you knew that I was going to be in the barbershop today, because you know my haircut day, you showed up here. And you know, every time we run into each other, we're going to have a conversation. You already know. I do. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. So when you came out today, what exactly was it that you thought when you looked around in the world today that would help you come up with some ideas on what you want to do and accomplish? I want to have a TV show. I want to be successful. Okay. A TV show. Well, that's right up my my alley, right in my wheelhouse. Let's do it. So ultimately, it falls right into the criteria in which I was setting earlier. So I need about three to five minutes of your listening ear. Not as a lecture, but as an opportunity to develop my point of view, which I hope you then adopt as your point of view, because it will give you the substance that you need to move forward. I can do that. Okay. Here we go. The big picture looks like this. Metaphorically speaking, some people are not on a stage when they find where they want to be. But for everyone's ears that are on the show today, I would like for you to imagine whatever you do, whatever industry that you are in, to create a proverbial stage that represents you making it to where you want to be. Can we all do that? Whatever your success level is, that is the stage that you would like to imagine yourself being on. If you are an artist, you might want to be on the stage that has awards. Whatever kind of artist you are, if you're an actor, you might want to be in front of a camera that's filming the Oscars. They're Oscars, their Emmys, there's Webbys. There are in ACP, there are all kinds of awards to be gotten. Maybe you want to be on that stage because that basically represents that you have claimed your piece of the pie and you're consuming it. That means and breeds success. Success. It means success because you got there. It breeds success because now you are infectious yourself. You now have the ability to pass on this happy disease to others, which makes you marketable, which also turns around and cause your stock to go up, which now means more people are going to reach out to you to say, hey, would you like to walk this way with us and cause what we have to be bigger and better so that we can look and feel the way you look and feel? And if you're leading this whole thing, you can give the empowerment of us doing the same dang thing. Can you dig it? Okay, I can dig the stage of my success. Alright. Good. I'm gonna need three to five more minutes because okay, I want to show you the rest of the picture. So you put your head out there in the world, you looked around, you found something interesting. Now you have a dream. I want to be a part of that. One of the biggest mistakes that most people make is they don't follow up their dreams. So they'll never get to where they're going. That does not mean you don't suppose to work at a convenience store. That doesn't mean that you don't supposed to work at a retail stop establishment or a phone center or a car dealership. What it means is you need to do what you got to do to get what you want, and some of the things that you have to do, it is imperative that you do it. Bottom line, it is imperative that you do it. Because if you don't, you will never be able to support yourself long enough for you to accomplish the steps that you must go through, the task that you must go through, the obstacles that you must go through in order to make it from where you are to the stage that you seen in your mind as your platform of success where you stand in the lights with your hands up in the air while the stage is rotating around to let the now whole world see you as a spectacle because they are now thrilled and they're looking at you with a wow. We only win type mentality. They see you, you see you, you know it's you're there, they know it's true. That's all well and good. Great big picture. Mr Blank, have I, in your opinion, started the artwork that I need to start on your blank canvas for you to relate? No. I need more. I need smaller bits and pieces. Ha isn't that funny. I gave you the outcome, but I did not give you the directions very interesting. But Mr. Blank, I must tell you that something happened because you made sense of that statement. So I'm getting it to you. If you say so. I'm saying so. I'm getting it to you. You made sense and you related just a bit. Because you now know the picture that's going to be drawn, even though you don't have the small bits and pieces of the picture created on the canvas, but you now have an idea of what the picture might look like, you just don't have how to get there. And I will explain that because you are a blank canvas, and when you say you don't have something to go further, we all know here on the show that you don't know. So I'm about to give it to you. Okay. All right. So here we go. You're on that big old stage in your mind. You've seen what you wanted to do. You're that music artist that's on that big stage. You're that actor who's receiving the award for doing an outstanding job in a film. But guess what? It's not just limited to those careers. I'm relating to the entertainment industry at the moment. But guess what else you are? You're that foreman on the construction site. You're that owner of a construction company. You are the hottest salesperson in your firm. You know what you're doing, and you moving product. This is who you are looking at in your head, and you keep saying every day, such as such, man. I really would like to be like such a such. Remember there are some rules. Be righteous about it. Because when God made us, He made us so that we can be clean. Just remember that. And righteousness goes really well as an ingredient with us staying mentally, physically, and spiritually healthy. So keep that in mind. If you're doing it with in righteousness, you very well could be on your way to accomplishing, or ain't nothing wrong with having a little extra power behind you, right? So if God got your back, you might be pursuing something that you shouldn't be pursuing. And if you're doing it in righteousness, he might pull your coattail in some kind of way to show you that there's a different way you need to go, or don't do this. Do that. So look for the cues. Just wanted to make sure I put that in there before I go further and give you the clue on how to get to the stage that is in your head. Being something in your head doesn't mean that is actually the thing that you should pursue. This is why I said put your head out in the world a little bit. And I meant it. Not just outside, but in the world. So you can see many things that you have to choose from. Don't just choose arbitrarily unless you want to commit to it, like a marriage. For better or for worse, I would think you would want to research something if you thought it was good for you, and then make a decision to go after it. But if you already got something going and you want to be the best you can be, and many of you, your minds, your heart is strong. You know this. You almost lived it, many of you. I'm going to tell you, I'm going to get back to the instructions to getting to that stage. We are moving the needle forward here. So do not for one moment think I'm on a tangent. But many of you have the heart, you have a brain, they're intact. You've used those items before. And for you who don't use them often, it is time for you to change. Because you also know that you have used those elements in your life before. And you also know the moment that you said, Yeah, I'm smart, meaning that I have the capacity. I have the heart to go after anything if I really wanted to. Well, don't you think, God dang it, it's about time you really wanted to go after something in righteousness that is hot, off the chain, good, that helps people, that helps you to take care of your own family. You know it's there because you've used it while growing. You remember a time when you used to be X, Y, and Z. You remember a time when you didn't function off of anything but ABC. And A, B, C as a metaphor, was you had good knowledge and you used the wisdom and became wise. You used it. And when you used it, it taught you something. Somewhere or another, you may have fallen off the track. Because knowing and doing what you know are in fact two different things. So that's why we are still on track. Mr. Blank did anything in that exchange of words that I just put together causing sentences, and those sentences causing paragraphs began to drop any paint on your canvas. Well, I'm starting to see what I'm making, or rather what you are making on my canvas. Okay. That's because I came around Robin Hood's barn and still hit you with something productive that leads to that big stage that you imagine yourself being on. And in your case, you know the picture that you're going to create. You only know about it though. Now you have some substance on your canvas, and you can start to think, hmm, I think I know what's going on here. It's like if I was going to paint the ocean and I drew some rocks, and just before the rocks, on the lower part of the canvas, I drew some sand. So if I drew some sand and some rocks, you're probably going to say to yourself, he is going to draw an ocean or a body of water because he is actually putting things on my canvas that represents a coastline. So I know I came around Robin Hood's barn and dropped a little coastline. Just a little on your canvas. Okay. Alright. That's what's up. Thanks for the acknowledgement. So let's move on. I'm going to need about another five or ten minutes of the ability to say what I need to say. Okay. Alright. So here we have it. We're going to move on. Now I'm adjusting myself over here, so my microphone needs to get turned around just a bit. There you have it. And we're going to keep it on. Keep it going. Keep it moving on. So now, you've seen where you want to be. But you know, the hardest way to view something is up close and personal. Now, if you think I don't know what I'm talking about, put your hand a half an inch away from your nose. And look at the lines that are in your hands. Now we both know you're seeing some kind of lines, but they're not well defined. If you wear glasses, just metaphorically imagine what I'm saying, because it would be physically impossible for you to see what others may be seeing or not seeing if you have eye problems. So imagine what I'm saying in your mind and get the point opposed to deflecting the idea because you can't see straight, or you're blind, or anything that impairs or superemphasize your sight. The point I'm making is if your hand is that close to your face and you have 2020 vision, you know there are lines on your hand, but you cannot make them out the way you could if you had some distance between the hand and your face and your eyes. So if you pull your hand away from you to the length of your arm and make your hand face you as if it was a book, you can then see the lines. They're defined under 2020 vision, but 2020 vision doesn't stop with eyesight. You can have 2020 vision in your mind sight, your hind sight, you have mentally established the ability to think as you grew. We were talking about you earlier when we said there was a time when you functioned with nothing but knowledge being your compass, and then you became wise. You have wisdom because you knew, and you still know, probably. Some people lose it if you don't use it, but you're wise when you use a body of knowledge that you know is a model to success. I give you a simple fact, and I want you to blow up with it. You set out to go to the supermarket, and you basically got to the counter and paid for everything. The person says, Would you like some bags? And you have at least three bags full of items. And then you say, No, I'm going to carry everything in my arms. No doubt on the intercom in the very near future, you're going to hear cleanup in the exodile. You feel me? So wisdom says, hey, if you want to get all of these groceries that equate to about at least three to four bags, you should put them in three to four bags. You might be able to carry them by their handles, but you can even go a step further and roll them out in a shopping cart. That's the wisdom. But are you wise enough to come off your high horse? Are you wise enough to move the dark color glasses off of your face? Metaphorically speaking, off of your brain, so that it can register that you might just want to use grocery bags. So you took the wisdom, boom, you decided to use the grocery bags, you made it to your car, and now you have become someone who is wise because you're in the act of following good wisdom. That one was a no-brainer to a point. But I must say, how many times have we seen people shop in a store and start dropping stuff before they even get to the counter? Because they decided not to grab a shopping cart or a shopping basket. We've all done it. Even those with shopping lists have done it, thinking, I can I can handle this, I can hold all this stuff. And then when you get to the line, a line is long, and you're sitting there holding all this stuff in your hands, and you're like, oh, why did I put myself in this position? Well, you decided not to use your wisdom to determine your steps. Mr. Canvas, I'm sure. You're starting to catch on? Well, I think so. Okay. Good. Because you still have that coastline starting. And this is just one of the rocks that you might see. Because you know, I'm going to put the rocks out of the way because my whole goal is to show you the ocean. So I can't put the rocks in the middle of the picture too much or too high because I won't be able to accent the ocean and how the sun glares off of the water and some of the birds and sky items, the illuminance of things in the sky and how they contrast and things of that nature. So this is why I am meticulously placing things in a place that makes sense, but that's not in my way. But guess what is in the way of every single person that's listening to me today? What is the well, every single person that is listening to me today, and every single person that haven't heard my podcast. So share this with your family members, your friends. If you got fans, let them know that this was an inspiration to your success and send them the link if you got fans. Because this is going to blow your mind. Now you need to see where you are today. And you can't be up close and personal trying to see all of that. So we're going to get a proverbial helicopter. You know, that machine that flies up in the air lower than the airplane, but higher than your tallest person that you know. So we're going to go up maybe a mile. And then we're going to look down and we're going to see the whole story. How we POV the story is up to your knowledge. So whatever that knowledge is, that's the POV that you will have. But the knowledge you have and the point of view that you're seeing isn't enough at the moment for you to be on that stage. And that is why you're not on that stage. But you can see that stage, and you can want that stage, but you have to see the whole story first. So you're in that helicopter and you're looking down, and you see where you want to be, and you see there is a large distance between where you want to be, which is on that stage, and where you are today.

unknown

Boom.

SPEAKER_03

Now, why the boom? Because your heart and your throat all at the same time just dropped into your stomach. So let's restore that problem and take real good notes on that POV, your point of view from that height. It's called a topographical point of view. And then you're going to come down from the sky. And you're going to remember that distance. See, your POV only allows you possibly to see the distance. But it may not help you close the gap until you come down from that helicopter ride. So now you find yourself needing to learn a little bit more about the destination that you would like to end up in. So now the first thing you're going to do is get a clue. You're going to start reading, researching, digging. And foremost, you're going to visit that stage. You're going to feel it. You're going to walk around it. You're going to walk on it. You're going to tell the lighting person who lights the stage how to shine on you. All this is metaphoric, mind you. Then you're going to do a circus trick. Nothing hard, but it's a trick. You're going to be at center stage and you're going to start walking backwards. And the first thing you're going to end up doing is stepping across the stage backwards, going to the front of the stage while walking backwards from the center. And then eventually you're going to step down off of the stage. And you're going to step into something. You are going to step in a state of possibilities of what it may have taken for you to have been on the stage in real life. The thing that happened just before you were able to step up on the stage. And whatever that was, that was a big moment too. But you just got to figure it out now. Out of the myriads of things that are out there to do, what is it that you must do in order for your next step to be the first step on the stage that you imagined yourself on? Okay. So before this happened, some people who accomplished this in the field or the industry that I like to be in. Let's make it simple. Let me go to my wheelhouse. They had to have the money to get the licensing to have their own TV show. Huh. And with that, they had to have the knowledge in order to run a TV network. Because I want a TV network along with a TV show. Maybe I got to go to college and finish before I'm starting to feel something. Okay, Mr. Canvas. But uh as they say, hold your applause until I'm done. Because when I get to something later, you're gonna really have a clue. Okay. So basically, you must finish college. Have a clue, have money, and then pounce on that stage because it's not going to just come to you. You just walk backwards and stepped into the reality of the thing that had to happen for you particularly, just before you were able to step on that stage and be in the light and have that stage rotate and you stay still while the stage is spinning you around and letting everyone see you as a spectacle. But now if I'm in college and I'm still walking backwards to where I am right now, I'm so far away from where I am right now, I don't know what's just before college. Maybe you're stuck, right? Well, how about this? If you're in college, what about passing college? So let's not jump out of college right yet. Because you can do it from here, you can end up on that stage from here, from college. But maybe, just maybe, maybe college is the second thing that you step into backwards. Maybe what also could have happened, because like I said, there's a plethora of things that could have happened that put you on that stage. Maybe you stepped backwards into working in the industry first, or maybe you were an intern when you were in college that gave you an opportunity, be around the industry, to learn some fundamentals hands-on. Different variables, yeah. We talked about the brain, we talked about wisdom, you have to decipher that for yourself by your research. So when you step back again, either one of those things could have happened, but the next thing is research. But you must research a lot of different things, so that's actually pushing you another step backwards because of all the things you had to research, you didn't step back maybe ten or fifteen steps now, and then when you researched systematically, you also start realizing a pattern that you must travel, you might have realized that once you researched the task needs to be completed. So, how many tasks are you starting to add titles to that you know that you must accomplish in order to start moving forward? I'm understanding more of my canvas. Ah, didn't expect you to pop in right there. So basically, you step all the way back, and you start to realize, well, dang, I don't have a high school diploma, so I can't go to college right now. Well, I suggest you go back to high school, get your GED or an adult high school program, get your regular diploma because you can't even do college without that education under your belt. So keep stepping backwards, keep looking at your deficient situations, keep looking at everything that's void, that needs to not be void, and where are you finding yourself right now? Well, you close the gap a little bit because you are laying down the framework, but your framework isn't complete yet, you haven't figured out all the tasks yet, so this is why you must write this down, get a legal pad, and put the stage on top of the paper. Little stick figure in the middle is you, and you're writing down the things that you stepped backwards into that happens just before this success, and what happened just before that success, and what happened just before this success, and what happens just before the success that puts you on the stage, and then what happened in this success right here, the one that does put me on the stage, so that I can actually step up to the stage and say, I won. It may take a few visits in that helicopter so you can get a bird's eye view, and that's what a bird's eye view is a hawk. You're hawking just like the bird of prey, your situation. My canvas is growing. Ha ha. I told you later you will have those elements, so you are now starting to relate. It is time for you, Mr. Canvas, to complete the drawing and the painting. Because you can now relate, and in order for you to start, I need to just simply give you the green light, and the green light in this case, Mr. Mr. Canvas, is me actually saying that you are now standing where you actually are today. Now you got the green light to paint the whole picture, but it's going to take thinking, education, conversations, subject matter experts, getting your finances in order, getting a job that pays more than welfare, because now you're not just living, you're striving for something, and it's going to need finances to get you there. Wow. See you next time. You got it, Mr. Blank. By the way, checkmate. You'll be me again. Yeah. It is what it is. Peace to you. And everyone else out there. This is just the beginning. Just the beginning of our new season. It involves a lot of conscious thinking. It involves conversation on how to move the needle instead of conversation that staggers in one spot. I'm accomplishing that because of Mr. Blank. He relates when things make sense. The sensibility in that itself is amazing. Can you imagine me trying to talk to someone, maybe even yourself, and you have no ability to be quiet and listen? But can you imagine what it's like to be a fly on the wall and hear me talk to Mr. Blank, the ideal conversationalist, that will allow me to move the needle for you. That information coming across will allow you to move that needle to reality. This is your boy, bad boy Billy Sly. I'm out. Peace.
