This week we are bringing you a fun Q & A session with Holly and Hailey!

SPEAKER_02

Welcome to Deep Thoughts with Holly and Haley. This week's episode is going to be a little bit lighter and a little bit easier. We are doing some fun, thought-provoking QAs.

SPEAKER_01

Quick disclaimer: while we do have a background in mental health care, we are not your licensed mental health providers. If you're in need of professional mental health care, please reach out to a local office near you. If you're in crisis, please dial 911 or 988 for immediate assistance.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, welcome back. So Haley and I decided that um we've had several weeks of really like intense talks where we've talked about generational trauma, we've talked about divisive political affiliations, just some deep talks and thoughts. So we thought that this time around we would ask ChatGPT to give us some light and funny questions that we could controversial.

SPEAKER_01

Chat GPT to talk about talk like that. Listen, I used ChatGPT the other day to create a worksheet for one of my classes. Did it do a good job? Oh my gosh, it was a game changer. Yeah. I was like, I spend hours making worksheets. Not anymore. Not anymore. Anyway, okay, back to our regularly scheduled topic.

SPEAKER_02

Not to worry, Haley. We'll get started. Great. Okay, so it kind of has different categories. So we're starting with light and funny. Okay. I like that. So this one is if animals could talk, which one would be the rudest?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, my cat, Edgar.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, a hundred percent.

SPEAKER_01

He's such a dick. He is, yes.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Yeah, he is. He is. He is. I think cats. I mean, they have such a toute. They do. They have an attitude. I think they would be. Even the sweet ones have an attitude. Yeah. They would they would tell you to F off. No problem. Absolutely. I have a running thing where we always talk about giving the paw. I'm gonna give you the paw, which is basically cat for finger. Yeah. Yeah.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I agree. I like that. Um, what's the most useless talent you have? Oh, let me think.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I love that. Useless talent. I don't know what's yours. I'm thinking about it.

SPEAKER_02

Probably all my accents.

SPEAKER_01

I'm really good at finding four-leaf clovers. Yeah, don't say Hailey. I am. I'm really good at it. Oh, I love putting coverage. I think it's because of the way my brain picks up on patterns. Interesting. I think is is the only thing I can come up with of why.

SPEAKER_02

Wow. Are you good at like seeking out poison ivy and stuff too? Like, can you be like, ah, poison ivy? I mean, not by smell.

SPEAKER_01

No, but like, um, you know those games where it's like spot the difference or whatever, or like, hey, what's wrong with this pattern? Right. I'm so good at them. So I think that's why I'm good at finding for life clovers. True. And I'm also Irish, so. Yeah, don't say. I think that helps a little.

SPEAKER_02

Time for a around with Phil. Alright. Alright. Useless talent. Um, yeah, I would say I do the stupidest accents, and they are useless.

SPEAKER_01

They're so fun though.

SPEAKER_02

They are fun, but incredibly useless. Um, okay, next one. If you had to eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be? Oh, I know mine. Cheese. Really? I love cheese. Just cheese. It's one food for the rest of your life, and it would be cheese. I'm a soup. Soup? It does not give you any kind of nutrients.

SPEAKER_01

There's so many varieties of soup.

SPEAKER_02

There's so many varieties of cheese.

SPEAKER_01

You get chicken noodle. You can do vegetable beef. Blue cheese. Listen, I'm getting all the food groups in a soup. Okay. Alright. You're getting one in a cheese. Hey, hey, hey.

SPEAKER_02

Hey. Hey.

unknown

Hi.

SPEAKER_02

Hi. Um, do not question my cheese. Okay. Sure. Will I be able to poop? Likely not. Will you have scurvy? Likely. Possibly. Possibly, but hey, I'm happy.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Well, that's all that matters.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Um, next one. What's something you believed way too long as a kid?

SPEAKER_01

Oh my god. Okay, I have two that I tell people. One, I thought running for president literally meant they put the candidates on a track and they had to run. Love that. Till probably like the fourth grade. I love that. Um, and then I also believe that if it was raining where I was, it was raining all over the world. Like the weather where I was was the weather everywhere. Okay. I don't think I believed that one for very long. But long enough that I remember believing it. Interesting. But yeah, the running for president one, yeah. I thought they put them on a track and made them run. That's really cute. Yeah. Maybe they should start doing that again. Maybe so. Not again, but like, you know.

SPEAKER_02

So my physical fitness test. A hundred percent many kinds of tests. Yeah. Um so the one that I believed actually wasn't really something I'm like v like, I believe in this. It was a song. Um, do you know that song, Every Time You Go Away? Every time you go away. And it's you take a piece of me, M-E, with you. So I thought it was meat. And I used to say to my mom, that song is so stupid. And she didn't really understand, but she was like, I mean, okay, everybody likes what they like. And I was like, no, but I mean it just makes no sense. And she was like, well, maybe to you because you're younger, and maybe as you get older it'll make sense to you. And I was like, No. I was like, I don't understand. Like, every time you go away, you take a piece of meat. Like, why, like what, like a steak or something? And for the longest time, that's what I thought it was. And she was like, that would be me and not meat.

SPEAKER_01

I have a similar one that I um embarrassingly long. Um, like in like a couple years ago long. I love this. Do you know the dictionary? I I do. You know the name of the dictionary?

SPEAKER_02

I do.

SPEAKER_01

Can you say it?

SPEAKER_02

Webster's?

SPEAKER_01

That's the first name.

SPEAKER_02

Webster's Dictionary?

SPEAKER_01

No, Miriam.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, Merriam Webster's Dictionary.

SPEAKER_01

I thought it was Merman. Okay. I've said Merman Webster my entire life.

unknown

Oh.

SPEAKER_01

Until like probably two years ago. That's really sweet. Where we were playing a game and I was like, yeah, get the merm the merman, the merman webster. And everyone's like, what? It's like the mer like the merman. The merman webster. So it's like the Merriam? I said, no. It's Merman. I love that.

SPEAKER_02

That also is like a little like Hillbilly. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

It's like the Mermin.

SPEAKER_02

I I love Mermin.

SPEAKER_01

But now when I say, hey, check the merman, everybody knows what I'm talking about.

SPEAKER_02

So uh this was several years ago. Uh we had some friends visiting, and I my son had um a bean bag.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

But I was pronouncing it bing bag. Bing. Bing bag. Yeah. Because when I was growing up, my mom used to be like, oh, she's got her little bing bag. And so they were like, wait a minute, it's bean. And I was like, yeah, cool. I know. I don't know that. Whatever. But I think that happens all the time. You know, either we mishear something or like we're used to hearing it a certain way. Yeah. That's funny. Okay, so this section is called thought-provoking. Oh. If money didn't matter at all, what would you do with your life? Travel. Mmm. Yeah. Real estate. I would be like a real estate mogul. I would have like.

SPEAKER_01

But money wouldn't matter.

SPEAKER_02

I know. That's why I'd own everything. I would buy everything. You'd have you just own everything. Because I think for me, like there I have so much ambition of what I want to do, but I'm really stifled by my lack of funds. Right. So I could just do whatever I wanted, which sounds phenomenal. Yeah. Yeah. Probably plastic surgery too. Um, yeah. The next one is this is a dark one, but would you rather know how you die or when you die?

SPEAKER_01

I mean, neither, but if I have to pick one.

SPEAKER_02

You have to pick one.

SPEAKER_01

How I die or when I die? I guess how? Yeah, I guess how I die. Because then I could probably kind of guesstimate the when.

SPEAKER_02

Maybe, maybe not.

SPEAKER_01

Maybe if it was like, you know, a heart attack or I mean that could happen at any age. But like, you know, like an old person disease. Right. I would think, oh, I've, you know, probably made it a while. But if they're like you got taken out by a bus, it could be tomorrow.

SPEAKER_02

How many buses are you just, you know? My fiance drives a school bus. Oh god, he's gonna kill you. That's a whole mountain mysteries episode. We could in well, I could interview him.

SPEAKER_01

I would be dead.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

If he kills me, I give you full permission to interview him for the podcast.

SPEAKER_02

Oh my god, I'll go to the penitentiary, I'll talk to him, he'll be like, I swear it was an accident. I'm like, sure, Marquez, sure.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Love that. She didn't see it coming. Um, so my natural instinct is to say when. Because I am a control freak planner. I would like to just know when. But I also think that that is incredibly toxic.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Because then you're just, you're like, oh God, it's coming. So it's next week. You know? Yeah. Um, so I guess how would probably be better, but there's a book out. My friend was in a um a book club and they were reading a book called The Measure, which was you got these little boxes on your doorstep. Everybody 22 and above got a box on your doorstep and it told you when you were gonna die. Um, and some people had like a year to die, some people had like 50 years to die, but nobody knew what your box said, but it really affected how you lived your life, what you did, yeah, all those things.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, like if you told me I only had a year to live, I would like quit my job and travel.

SPEAKER_02

You would live like you would die. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I do that too. Okay, next one. What's something you changed your mind about recently? Oh I got one.

SPEAKER_01

What's yours?

SPEAKER_02

So um I fashion-wise, right? So for me, like I oh god, I've been wearing leggings forever.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Um, and the 90s like baggy pants are very trendy now. Yeah. And I jumped on the train and I love them. Yeah. Love them.

SPEAKER_01

I love a baggy pants.

SPEAKER_02

Not going bad.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Um, so I changed my mind on recently.

SPEAKER_02

Me.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Um I don't know. Well, I mean, I guess not recently, but I guess kind of recently, that I wanted a wedding. Like that I wanted a traditional wedding. Um, because I'd always said I didn't want like to deal with the venues, the food, the whatever. Like I didn't want any of that. Um, because it would just seem like too much of a hassle. And then when I got engaged, and even before then, like I was thinking, like I changed, I had kind of changed my mind.

SPEAKER_02

And to be honest, I was kind of bummed because I was hoping that I would get to dress up as an Elvis impersonator and I would get to marry you guys, and you changed the whole thing. So whatever. I'm so sorry. Whatever.

SPEAKER_01

I don't even know what that was. That's a weird sound. I didn't like it.

SPEAKER_02

Did you say I like it? Okay, okay. We don't know. We don't know. Um, all right, what is a small thing that makes your day better every time?

SPEAKER_01

When my dog does this little like wiggle. Yep. She just kind of like when she sees me, she just says this little like, she just wiggles her whole body.

SPEAKER_02

That's really cute and makes me smile.

SPEAKER_01

I love it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. I love it. Um, I have two things. One is coffee.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

That helps a lot. Um, and the other thing is you were talking about dancing. Like, my son has this dance that just cracks me up, and some of his expressions are so funny that just like makes my day. I love it. That's good. And of course, if Haley responds to a text, I yeah, that's true. And watch out. Yeah. All right, so these are called slightly deeper but real questions. Here we go. What's something you're proud of that people don't usually see?

SPEAKER_01

I just think the like the amount of growth I've had over like the years. Both like in my personal life and then professionally. I'm more well-rounded individual these days. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Um gosh, that is deep. Because I I I'm gonna say I feel kind of unseen in the workplace at this point in my career. Um I think I have single-handedly been able to hold some programming together, and I don't feel like people always see that.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So I'm very proud of that. Yeah. All right, next one. What kind of people do you feel most at peace around?

SPEAKER_01

Um people I don't have to try with.

SPEAKER_02

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_01

Like Holly. We don't try for each other anymore. No, people that I can just show up and be my true self and not care about what I'm wearing, what I look like, um, what I say, you know, just like people that I can just be totally comfortable around.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. I agree. I think somebody who exudes that warmth. I think that um there are those people who just kind of have that, it just feels easy. Yeah. It feels warm and comfortable. And and you actually, so I always talk about people I have to clean for and people I don't.

SPEAKER_00

Oh.

SPEAKER_02

And I don't have to clean for you. Not not that I feel like I don't care if I'm, you know, poop in the corner or something.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, I might be a little concerned if I came in and there was human feces in the corner of your house. I'd be like, hey, um, what's happening? First question, are you aware? If you weren't aware, then hey, there's the problem. There, we gotta do something. Um, also, if you were aware, hey, we might let's maybe have a deeper check-in here. Like, I'm concerned. Why is there shit in the corner? Is it yours? Is it yours? Is it why why exactly? That would be more in the are you okay?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, like are you good? Not just physically, but emotionally. In a dark place, clearly. Um, Allen doesn't have to clean for me.

SPEAKER_01

I don't care.

SPEAKER_02

No, but you and you know, like the people that you don't care what you're wearing. And I mean, my God, Haley and I both have like braided hair tonight. We both are wearing cat, like we always look homeless around each other. So when we're put together, we're like, oh, we must be at work. Yeah. Something's happening. Something's happening. Exactly. Um, all right. So what's a lesson you learned the hard way?

SPEAKER_01

Um, don't give your social security number to strangers. Oh god. Okay. Terrifying. Please don't. Um, no. Um lesson I learned the hard way. I don't know. Um I guess that you like that you're not like sometimes you're gonna be a closer friend to somebody than they are. Like you're gonna view your relationship different. That's true. Like you're gonna think that you're really close and all this stuff, and then it turns out you're like that may be your best friend, but you're not their best friend. You know what I mean? Yeah. Like that's kind of a hard lesson to learn.

SPEAKER_02

Definitely. Yeah. So mine was um especially in the workplace, you're expendable. Oh, yeah. Um, that you can kill yourself, you can bend over backwards working and think like, oh wow, yeah, everybody's seeing this and everybody, you know, but there is somebody always out there who's gonna do the job for less money.

SPEAKER_03

Yep.

SPEAKER_02

Who's gonna work harder than you? Yep. Who um, you know, uh it's oh, well, we're on to the next person. And if you think that they're gonna miss you, they're not. Right. So don't put all your eggs in one basket. So you are expendable. Yeah. Um, what's something you're currently working on in yourself?

SPEAKER_01

Um I think something I'm always constantly working on is feeling comfortable in my own body. And like being okay with my and my body started to shut down. Yeah, slowly down. But like change. Like there are things about my body that are changing as I age that I'm up until this point in my life hadn't ever dealt with or like noticed. Um, so yeah, just kind of being comfortable with my body the way it is, and you know, I mean, I still go to the gym, I still do the things, but more so for a health reason rather than like an aesthetic reason.

SPEAKER_02

Right. Right. I think um I uh talk about changing. Um I'm in the season of perimenopause, so uh sort of understanding that I am getting closer and closer and closer to the time where death.

unknown

No.

SPEAKER_02

Wow. We're just taking it right there. We all know you're gonna die before. Come on now. This is true. The bus is taking you out, girl. Absolutely.

SPEAKER_01

I'm interviewing your man. I looked at my medical history. I'm absolutely dying for highly likely.

SPEAKER_02

I will be at your funeral.

SPEAKER_01

I'd be shocked if I outlived you.

SPEAKER_02

Same. Same. Oh, anyway, we'll go pick out like matching caskets, but she'll use hers first. It's so sweet. So what? Yeah, H. So cute. Anyway, um, no, so I think for me, knowing that like um my days of having babies are kind of I'm not at the end here, but you know, it's it's wrapping up and and it's changing and knowing that like within the next ten years I will not have a period anymore, I will not have any kids, like it'll be over that season of my life will be over. And I think as a woman, that's like a piece of who we are. That's kind of your identity. So I think like starting to feel that and like work on, okay, you're at this different phase of your life and it's okay. It's normal, you know? I think working on that. All right. So this next section, um, one, two, three, has four questions. Um, random and creative, it's called. So if your life was a movie, what genre would it be?

SPEAKER_01

Psychological thriller.

SPEAKER_02

Girl. I was gonna say horror, but no. I love that.

SPEAKER_01

Psychological thrillers.

SPEAKER_02

I love that.

SPEAKER_01

You never know what's gonna happen. I love that. Yeah. Um actually it's more of a medical drama at this point.

SPEAKER_02

I was gonna say, yeah, like the pit. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

That is my life.

SPEAKER_02

Your life is the pit. Yeah. Not the pits. But yeah. Um, I love the psychological thriller. I could totally, yes. Yeah. But then mine's probably also like a like a boring melodrama, maybe too.

SPEAKER_01

I think yours is like a sweet little family.

SPEAKER_02

I like that you say sweet.

SPEAKER_01

I like it's you know, it's one of those like family dramas. What the F.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Or there's like, you know, terrible things have happened, but they all come together.

SPEAKER_02

At the end, we all have pasta.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Yeah. How great. Yeah.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Um if you could instantly master any skill, which one would you pick?

SPEAKER_01

Um, probably being able to speak multiple languages. I was thinking that too.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. That was the same one that I was thinking about. Can't you imagine we're both we're speaking Mandarin to each other? That'd be crazy. We could talk about people and they wouldn't even know it. Unless they spoke Mandarin. Unless they spoke Mandarin. Yeah. That'd be cool.

unknown

Oh, nailed it.

SPEAKER_02

Um, let's see. What would your warning label say? Oh, God. Approach with caution. I agree. Yeah. Mine would be parental discretion advised. Good one. Yeah. Yeah. Um, if you could switch live.

SPEAKER_01

Highly flammable, sorry. Oh my lord.

SPEAKER_02

Ain't that the truth? Yeah. Yes. Sorry, okay. Yes. I had one, but it's dirty and I'm not gonna say it. Please.

SPEAKER_01

This is a safe space. Wet when entering.

SPEAKER_00

That's pretty good. Oh, it's filthy. I'm sorry. I love it. All right.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, next. Next. Um, if you could switch lives with anyone for a day, who would it be?

unknown

Me.

SPEAKER_02

Just kidding. You don't want that. Who would you switch lives with? Oh, I know.

SPEAKER_01

I don't. Who would you switch lives with?

SPEAKER_02

My son. Oh, you wouldn't. I would love to see what his day is like. Like, I would love to see from the the mind of a six-year-old what that would be like. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Um I don't know. Maybe. Your dog? Yeah, she's got it pretty good. She does. Um my immediate thought was a man.

SPEAKER_02

You just want to know what it is to have a penis. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Kind of.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Yeah. But have a big one. That helps.

SPEAKER_01

I feel like that would just it just gets in the way.

SPEAKER_02

And you're not smacking it around. You could be, you could be a grower, not a shower. Mmm. True. So that's better. For most of the time, you're just normal. Yeah. Just hanging out there. It doesn't get in the way. It's not flopping around, but yeah, buddy. When you're ready, you're ready. Oh my god. Okay, so last one. Okay. Describe to me my vibe, like what vibe I give off, and I'll describe what vibes you give off. That's the last question.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. The vibes that you give off.

SPEAKER_02

Stupid.

SPEAKER_01

No. Um, I think Oh God. Professional. Not on those podcasts. Well, it started out that way. Yeah. Professional. Um, conscientious. Um, clean. So clean vibes.

SPEAKER_02

So the shit in the corner's not happening. It's not happening.

SPEAKER_01

We have clean vibes. Um I don't know. Just like I don't know if I would say approachable. I mean to me you are, but I'm like out in the wild. The wild, where the hell am I? Like if you're just walking down the street, I don't know if I would come up to you. Ah, the dingo waiter baby. Um, no, you're just like, you know, put together.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, put together vibes.

SPEAKER_02

Unapproachable, arrogant. And put together. Put together.

SPEAKER_01

No, I think clean, conscientious. That was a good one.

SPEAKER_02

That's right. She bathes sometimes.

SPEAKER_01

She bathes. She's conscientious.

SPEAKER_02

Um. But this is interesting for me to know because I don't know what vibe I give out.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, well, I'm trying to think, like, I mean, because to for me, like knowing you, I there's a lot of other things I would say. But I'm just trying to think, like, as soon as we're going to be. So if you just saw me. If I just saw you. Yeah. What vibes are you giving off? Yeah. Terrifying. Murderer. Yes! Nailed it.

SPEAKER_02

You want me to get Jamar Quez to get that bus fired up?

SPEAKER_01

He might. No, he might be asked to be a good one. No, he's too sweet.

SPEAKER_02

That's his vibe is sweet. He likes to do it as much.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Um you saw me out and about. In the wild. In the wild. Um.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it's hard.

SPEAKER_02

It is hard because I know you, so it is hard. So if I just had to look at you.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Like you you see me at the grocery store. What are you thinking? Floppy. She's not wrong.

SPEAKER_02

Um. Unapproachable. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Accurate.

SPEAKER_02

Um focused. Like driven. Like you're there for a purpose, you're getting your shit, you're getting out. Yeah. Like you're not there to linger. Yeah. You're not making friends at the grocery store. No. Um. Okay, so I said sloppy. Sloppy on a preference. Focused. Um. I mean, I think if I like bumped into you, I was like, oh, I'm sorry, you'd be like, oh no, no, no, it's cool. It's cool. It's okay. Yeah. Like, I don't think you would be horrified. You know what I mean? Like, I think you'd be chill. Yeah. Chill. Yeah. Chill.

SPEAKER_01

Um. Sloppy and chill. That's what I strive for.

SPEAKER_02

Um what would I think about you if I saw you in the grocery store? I would think you were.

SPEAKER_01

Would you think I was a college professor?

SPEAKER_02

No. No. No, no, I wouldn't either. Would you think I was what I was? No. Oh, maybe. Maybe. Yeah. Um. I would actually probably think you were a college student.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

More than I would think that you were a college professor. Yeah. So yeah. I would probably think you were young. Probably think you're a college student. You know, you were buying that ramen, so I assumed, you know. Um, but uh I think that's what it is. So sloppy. Sloppy.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, it's true. I'm never true. I am never put together when I go to the grocery store. Usually I go after the gym, so I look mess.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Um, usually I go after or, you know, before work or something, so I am kind of put together. But um definitely not when I'm so yeah, that's what I would say about you. Yeah. Um, we're both unapproachable. Yeah. Both of us give the vibe of get the F away from you.

SPEAKER_01

Please don't talk to me.

SPEAKER_02

Exactly. I'm here for a reason. And I think that's true for both of us. Like we're here for a purpose. We're here for a reason.

SPEAKER_01

Like, I don't just come here for fun.

SPEAKER_02

No. I'm not here to make friends. I am here to get my food and go home. Not here to socialize. And also for me, it's like, how much does that cost? Oh my gosh, this is so expensive. And that old lady in me comes out of like, this used to be $1.95.

SPEAKER_01

We talk about how gas is almost $4, right now.

SPEAKER_02

Oh my gosh, don't even. Don't even.

SPEAKER_01

I filled up my car the other day and it was $40.

SPEAKER_02

I filled up mine and it was almost sixty. Yeah. It's ridiculous. Ridiculous. But yeah, so I think the vibes that we give off are unapproachable. Yeah. Um I'm professional. She's sloppy. Um, she gives off college student and I give off um woman with a stick up her ass. Who apparently shits in the corner. Shits now.

SPEAKER_01

No, no, because I'm clean. She's clean. Clean. You have clean aesthetic. Hello. Yeah. I'm clean. Well, and I'm what else did you say? Oh, chill.

SPEAKER_02

Chill. You do. You have a very like it's cool. It's cool. Yeah. But I mean, I think if someone bumped into me, I wouldn't be like, what the fuck? Oh, we are explicit on here, which is good. I noticed that. Okay, so good.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you can actually say that.

SPEAKER_02

Sorry about that if I upset any of you all who are listening. All 25 of you. All six.

SPEAKER_00

Sorry.

unknown

It's okay. We love you.

SPEAKER_02

Um, yeah. So, no, I don't think I would like punch somebody, but you know, I'd be like, oh no, it's okay. Even if uh in my side of my head I was like, watch where you're going. Back up. Back off. Back off. Oh my god, what if you rented to me? I'd be like, listen, punk. Go back to your dorm and put on some clothes.

SPEAKER_01

I haven't lived in a dorm in me neither. In a hot minute. Oh god, please stop. Almost ten years.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. 20 plus.

unknown

Wow.

SPEAKER_02

I'm old. You have old vibes. I do have old vibes. I do. Yeah. So I'm like, Physically, physically, you are significantly older than I am. I'm anxious. You're like, well, there goes my knee popping, there goes my hip popping, there goes my butt popping. Like, there's a lot of popping in here. So, okay. The last, last question. Okay. What vibe do we give off as friends? Not as seeing each other in the wild.

SPEAKER_01

Um, I still think clean for you. No shit in the corner. There's no shit in the corner. It's great. Um, clean. It's great. Um, clean. Comfortable. Welcoming.

SPEAKER_02

I like that. Yeah. Nice. Um, relaxed. Yeah. I'm gonna give you the relaxed you have this like relaxed vibe. Um, dependable. I feel like if I needed something. If you shit in the corner, you should probably If I start shitting in the corner, I'm gonna call you immediately.

SPEAKER_01

Immediately. So be like, I need assistance.

SPEAKER_02

I feel like you would be like, um. I actually think though, that it would be switched. Yeah. I think that in situations of like gross stuff, you would probably be more like, um, so they're like throw-up in the corner, and I'd be like, eh, I'm big.

SPEAKER_01

And you'd be like, You'd be like, eh, I'll just clean it up. I don't know, maybe I don't like throw up or snot. Now, blood poop, I can handle. Blood poop, I love it.

SPEAKER_02

Um, I also feel like you are matter of a fact. Like, eh, this is how it is. Not that like you don't dig deeper, and not that you're just surface level in any capacity. We have a podcast called Deep Thought. Yeah. But I think that um it just sometimes things you just like shrug off your shoulders, like, yeah, yeah, yeah. It is, you know, it is what it is. It's what it is. Like, meh, okay, you know. And I think that you take things with a grain of salt a little bit more. And I think that you think with your head sometimes more, and I'm more of a heart. Yeah, I would say that's true. I think you yeah. Not that you don't think with your head, but not that you don't think that not that you're heartless.

SPEAKER_01

Right, but I think you are more inclined on the emotional side than I am.

SPEAKER_02

And I'm like, is it the mom in me? Is it because I'm a parent? But I think it happened before I was I think I'm just that way.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I think you've always been more empathetic than I have been.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, you shit in the corner again, shame on you. You know, where I'm like, You shit in the corner. Oh no, what's wrong with your bells? Are you alright?

SPEAKER_01

I'm like, hey, that's like I'm I'm a help you, but I'm gonna say, hey, this is gross and we shouldn't do this. I like that you're giving me a lesson.

SPEAKER_02

But I will help you with the situation. Love that. Yeah, yeah. And I'm like, what happened that we're pooping in the corner? Let's let's unpack this. Um, but also, yes, I think that I have had to learn over time. Like I've been so into the heart that I've had to learn how to think more with my head.

SPEAKER_01

I think I just got burned pretty quickly into my career. And life. Yeah, it'll happen. That I just became jaded a lot faster.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, I was gonna say that's a word for both of us. Yeah. Jaded. Jaded. I think we've jaded.

SPEAKER_01

I think I got jaded a lot quicker.

SPEAKER_02

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. I think jaded is a a good word for us. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Like a year and a half in.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Well, probably before then. Yeah. Probably the the second you met me. Jaded. Jaded. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I mean, when you have people like us, the bar's set pretty high. You know what I mean? Arrogant. Oh, yeah. Which is so funny because we honestly are the most imposter syndrome, like 100% like um that like inferiority complex kind of thing. That like, yeah, oh, is it really me? But why are they looking at me? I'm I'm just yeah schleppy. Like, you know, like it is, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. Well, this was fun. Yeah, my left eyeball keeps watering, but it's okay. I thought you were crying because it was just so Oh, it was so well, only out my left eye.

SPEAKER_01

My right eye is not caught up yet, apparently.

SPEAKER_02

No, it hit what you know what it is. What? The shit in the corner is.

SPEAKER_01

It's the shit in the corner. It's burning. Pointing over there, like looking over there, like I expect to see something.

SPEAKER_02

And all I see is an iPad. I see a lamp. A lamp, an iPad, my son's little child recliner that is so stinking cute.

SPEAKER_01

That's really cute. Facebook Marketplace, y'all. I love that it matches none of the aesthetic of your house.

SPEAKER_02

Listen, this is what you do for your kid.

SPEAKER_01

I was gonna say, how much does it bother you?

SPEAKER_02

A lot. Yeah. I actually want to get like something to like cover it. Cover it, yeah. Yeah, that matches the aesthetic. And then I'm like, you know what?

SPEAKER_01

Because your house is very it's not beige. No. But there is like beige tones, but then you do have color. Like there is color in your house. But it's very like tame. Right. Like it's like I do have a lovely accent wall, but it's not like insane.

SPEAKER_02

Right. Or bold. Right.

SPEAKER_01

It's not very bold. It's very like calm. Calm, comforting. And then that thing is like bright blue, red. It looks like the British flag. It kind of does.

SPEAKER_02

I get race car vibes, and I don't know why. It does. It feels like. So there was a British show called, oh god, I forget what it was called. It was about cars. I'm going NASCAR, but alright. Not it. But anyway, it was about like really fast cars. It was a British show. I can't remember what it was. Um I can't remember what it's called. Anyway, that's what it reminds me of. Um, and my son loved it because it was blue. Yeah. And it's blue and red and white. Anyway, um, yeah. So he sits in it, he looks like a little man. That's really cute. He's so cute. And he got the cute his little feet, and he sits up with his cute little feet, and he's on his iPad. And oh my gosh, he's so cute. So yeah, I keep it here. But I will tell you that, like, if he's, you know, uh with his other parental figure, or he is not here or something, I will move it to the playroom because I'm like, okay. Yeah. And it's like at the end of the day, who cares? Who cares? You know, but yeah, it doesn't really go with my aesthetic.

SPEAKER_01

Well, neither does the scooter in the middle of the floor, but that's cool too. I mean, that's my aesthetic.

SPEAKER_02

Which is the same color as the chair. It does, it matches the chair, so we're kind of tying it in here. And when he um scoots on it, the wheels light up.

SPEAKER_01

I love that. It is pretty cool. I love a scooter.

SPEAKER_02

He loves his scooter.

SPEAKER_01

That's definitely something that would be in my house with three grown adults. But that's alright.

SPEAKER_02

I mean whatever turn John. A like six and a half foot tall man on a scooter.

SPEAKER_01

He would totally do it too.

SPEAKER_02

You know he would. That's how you die. Scooter accident. Scooter accident. Death by scooter. Wear your helmets, kids. Oh no, he runs over you with the scooter.

SPEAKER_01

I still have the plan that he kills you. He kills me. Yeah, I kill myself.

SPEAKER_02

This is manslaughter, though. It's accidental. Oh, okay. He didn't mean to. He feels a lot of remorse about it. In our jailhouse interview, he told me that direct is direct quote. Direct quote. Lots of remorse. I no, he says, and I quote, I feel a great deal of remorse after running over Haley with my scooter. I didn't think she would die. End quote. Yeah, he tried to give you CPR. He tried so hard. I mean, I guess he has to be CPR certified. He works in school.

SPEAKER_01

I wouldn't trust him to give me CPR.

SPEAKER_02

He called 911 and they were walking him through it. Oh, good, good. Yeah. I think he could probably figure it out with instructions. He was a little nervous though and a little frantic, you know, his anxiety was coming through, and and they were like, sir, sir, just stay on the line with us, sir. You you got this. It's all right. Come on. 30 compressions, chest compressions, sir. And he's like, I'm trying, I'm trying. And he's nervous. He's upset, the scooter, all the things. My scooter. But my fiance. But my scooter, you know, and and at the end of the day, prison won't allow you to have the scooter. So you have lost both significant things in your life.
