Good morning, good morning, good morning, and welcome to the Beautiful Me Empowerment Ministry Podcast, a space where healing meets faith, where broken places become sacred ground, and where we discover who God says we are. I'm your host, Monique Anderson, author, counselor, and founder of the beautiful Me Empowerment Ministry movement. I want you to take a deep breath with me for a moment. Sometimes life places us in seasons, seasons that feel hidden, painful, and deeply misunderstood. But today, today we're going to be talking about something that many people experience but very few understands. Today we're going to talk about the Leah seasons. And if you have ever felt overlooked, rejected, or like someone else was chosen over you, then this episode is for you. Heavenly Father, we come before your presence this morning with thanksgiving in our hearts. We want to thank you, our Father, for keeping us. Thank you, God, for watching over us. Thank you, oh God, this morning for your work that is in our lungs. Thank you, Father, that we are on the wake-up list. Father, we don't take this lightly. We want to thank you this morning, mighty God, for provision in the word of Sinath. You are way maker, miracle worker, promise keeper. That is who you are. Hallelujah. And we thank you this morning. We thank you, oh God, that we serve a God who is able to do immeasurably more than we could ever ask, think, or imagine. We are grateful this morning, Abba Father, to be known by you. We're grateful, oh God, that we are seen by you. We are heard by you, Abba Father. We are grateful this morning that you are not far from us, Abba Father. Thank you. We're grateful this morning, oh God, for your son, Jesus Christ, whom you sent to die for every single one of us. Thank you, Abba Father. You thought about every single thing. The word of the Lord says, Before we were even conceived in our mother's womb, you knew us, Abba Father. You even called us from that time. You appointed us, you chose us as priests of a nation. You knew we needed a savior. And so you sent your son Jesus Christ. You knew, God, that there would have been moments when we didn't know what to pray, what to say, when there was no language to what we were experiencing or are experiencing. And so you sent the sweet Holy Spirit who understands the groanings of our hearts and intercedes on our behalf. And we thank you this morning. Thank you, Abba Father, for having thought about every single thing. It is true, as you say in your word, that you supply all of our needs according to your riches in glory. And we thank you. We're so grateful this morning for who you are. And because of who you are, we choose to worship you this morning, mighty God. We choose to honor you. We choose to give you glory and praise, Abba Father. You are holy. We cry, holy, holy, holy, holy, holy, holy, holy are you, Lord God Almighty. Hallowed be your holy name, Abba Father. God, this morning we respect you. We respect you, sir. We honor you, Abba Father. God, we big you up. There is no one like you. You are such an amazing God. Hallelujah. God, I am grateful. I am so grateful to be kept by you. I am a kept woman. And for every person, oh God, who may tune into this podcast, I thank you for their lives. I thank you for their families. And I thank you this morning that you have kept them. The song says, God mercies kept me so I wouldn't let go. It said I almost gave up. I felt like I just couldn't take life anymore. My problems had me bound. Depression weighed me down. But God's mercy kept me. Your mercy has kept us. It has been keeping us, Abba Father. And that because of that, we didn't let go. Or you rather, you didn't let go of us, and we are grateful this morning. Father, we salute you. Hallelujah. And we thank you. Father, forgive us this morning for all the moments that we've left it unsaid. That we love you and we appreciate you and we are grateful. Forgive us of our sins this morning, mighty God. Wash us and cleanse us. Remove everything from us, God, that does not represent or reflect you. Turn on heaven's searchlight on us this morning, oh God. As the song says, Search me, O God. Know my heart, know my thoughts, I pray. See if there be some wicked ways in me. Cleanse me from every sin and all unrighteousness and set me free. Hallelujah. Thank you, Jesus. So we ask you, oh God, to forgive us. Purge us this morning with the hiss up of your blood. Hallelujah. Create within us clean hearts, oh God, and renew our right spirit within us. Cast us not away, God, from your presence and take not your Holy Spirit from us, but restore to us the joy of thy salvation and renew our right spirit within us, Abba Father. God, I pray this morning, oh God, that you will show up, oh God, for every single person that may tune into this podcast, Abba Father. I pray, Father, that you will meet each and every one of them at their point of needs, Abba Father. In the name of Jesus, thank you for their lives. Thank you, oh God, for their families. And I pray, oh God, even in this moment for complete blood coverage over every single person. I pray, oh God, that you will seal, oh God, their purpose. You will seal their families, Abba Father. You will seal their children, their spouses for those who are married, those who are single. I pray, oh God, that you will seal their minds, seal their hearts, seal their souls, seal their spirit, seal every single thing, oh God, that connects to them, to us, Abba Father. And we thank you. We thank you this morning that you are a God of suddenly, and we are believing today for a suddenly, mighty God, hallelujah, for a suddenly healing, for a suddenly breakthrough, financial breakthrough, for a suddenly, oh God, echo robo side. We're believing, oh God, for a suddenly in our lives this morning, whatever the suddenly represents, whatever the needs are. We are believing you, God, for a suddenly, and we are thanking you in advance, mighty God. Thank you for this season. Thank you for divine protection. Thank you for coverage. And even in this moment, I come against every spirit of backlash. In the name of Jesus, we bind up every principalities and every powers, every rulers of darkness and spiritual wickedness in high places. And we declare this morning that we shall live and not die, but we shall live to declare the works of the Almighty God. We ask you, oh God, for coverage and guidance and protection as we go throughout this day. And we tell you thanks for every blessing and for suddenly in Jesus' name. Amen and amen. Most people know the story of Jacob and Rachel. We would read in the story that Rachel was beautiful, Rachel was desired. Rachel was the love story. Jacob worked fourteen years just to marry her. But there was another woman in the story. Her name was Leah. Leah was not chosen. Leah was given. Leah was the sister Jacob woke up to next, woke up next to, and realized this was not the woman he wanted. Imagine the emotional weight of that. Imagine building a life with someone who loved someone else. Imagine living in the shadow of someone who was always preferred. And that was Leah's reality. Maybe that is your reality right now. So Leah lived every day with the pain of not being first choice. Maybe for you, you have been living in a space where you've not been chosen for the relationship, not chosen for the opportunity, not chosen for the recognition. And sometimes life puts us in places where we feel unseen, we feel unloved, and we feel overlooked. But I always say to my children, feelings aren't always facts. Because there's a turn in the story. Remember that God is the God who sees the unseen. In Genesis 29, verse 31, it says, When the Lord saw that Leah was unloved, he opened her womb. I want you to let that settle in your spirit for a moment, especially the word saw. As I mentioned, God is the God who sees the unseen. So God saw her, not the world, not Jacob, but God. God saw her. Hallelujah. And I'm saying to you this morning that God sees you. There are seasons in life where people may have overlooked you. But heaven is paying very close attention. The Bible tells us that God never sleeps in our slumber. And that tells me something powerful. That he is not blind. He doesn't even take a break. When he doesn't take his eyes off of us to the point where the Bible even tells us that our names are etched in his hands, in the palm of his hands. God specializes in seeing the unseen. And in Leah's pain, God began doing something this morning. And I pray this morning for a suddenly in your life, in whatever area you have felt unseen or overlooked, or you felt unchosen. I pray that God will show up today in your life and you will experience a suddenly, a suddenly God saw you. That will be your report. Hallelujah. God began doing something extraordinary in Leah's pain. Listen, God, pain is never wasted in God's economy. Leah had four sons, and this was the turning point. Each of her sons in the beginning revealed the pain she carried. So you find Reuben, and Reuben means the Lord has seen my misery. Simeon means the Lord heard that I am unloved. Levi means now my husband will become attached to me. But then hear this now. Leah, Leah was still trying to earn Jacob's love. And that is where many of us live. I know I used to live there where I felt like I had to the approval of man. Where I felt like I had to the approval of the boss, where I felt like I had to love. So we find Leah, she was trying to earn Jacob's love. And that's where many of us are living right now, trying harder, doing more, hoping someone will finally choose us. But then something shifted. When Leah gives birth to her fourth son, she said something different. She says in Genesis 29, verse 35, she says, This time I will praise the Lord. So she stops striving for Jacob. She turns her focus to God. And that son she named Judah. Hallelujah. And Judah means praise. And if we go back to Hannah's story, Hannah was in that space where she wanted so badly to have a son, to have a child for her husband. She was mocked and jeared. She was never chosen. Many of us we've had Hannah seasons in our lives. And the enemy whispered the lies that you are not good enough. You are not chosen. But it might not be by man, but you are seen and heard and chosen by God. And that is what matters. And so we find Hannah was mocked and jarred by Panana. And so she went to the temple and she cried out to God day in, day out, day in, day out, asking God to bless her womb. And to the point where the priest thought she was drunk. And her prayer changed. There was a moment when her prayer changed, and that shifted everything. And maybe that is what God is saying to you this morning to change your prayer. Hannah's prayer changed. And she said, God, if you give me this child, I will give him back to you. Hallelujah. And this is so beautiful. Because even in the story with Leah, what Leah did was she started to praise the Lord. She star she gave back. This is giving back, giving your worship to God. Right? And we see the story doesn't stop there. There is a beautiful hidden legacy in this story. Because we see that from the tribe of Judah, Leah's fourth son, came the kings of Israel. And generations later, from the tribe of Judah came Jesus Christ. Let that sink in. The lineage of redemption did not come from Rachel. It came from Leah. The woman who felt rejected. The woman who was never first choice. But I want you to know that you are heaven's first choice. So the woman who was never first choice, yet heaven chose her to carry the lineage of the Messiah. My God. Beautiful me ministry was birthed out of pain. The moments when I felt overlooked. The moments when I felt like I wasn't chosen. The moments when I felt like life was passing me by. The moments when I felt like I was hidden and I was never celebrated. And then God just one day said, Beautiful me. And in that moment, I was like, uh-uh, can't be talking to me. But here we are, almost two years later. And that's how God works. He is not building your life on popularity, he is building it on purpose. And there's another powerful detail in this story. Because when Jacob was dying, he gave instructions about where he wanted to be buried. Genesis 49 tells us something that is fascinating. He said, Bury me in the cave where Abraham and Sarah are buried, where Isaac and Rebecca are buried, and there I buried Leah. Remember, Rachel was the love story, my God. But Leah was buried in the covenant lineage. At the end of Jacob's life, he chose covenant over emotion, my God, because Leah was connected to God's promise. If you are in a Leah season right now, I want you to hear this. Your rejection does not disqualify you from God's purpose. Sometimes the very place where people overlook you is the place where God establishes your legacy. You may not be preferred by people, but you are positioned by God. And when God positions you, no rejection can cancel your assignment. The world celebrates the rachels, but God often writes history through the Leahs, the ones who keep showing up, the ones who keep praying, the ones who keep trusting God even when their hearts are hurting. So if you're in a Leah season right now, a season where you feel hidden, do not despise it, do not despise your Leah season. This may be the season where God is preparing you for something eternal. Because the truth is, the overlooked becomes pillars, the rejected becomes vessels, the unseen carry destiny, and sometimes the season that feels most painful is the very season where God is writing your greatest story. Hallelujah. And so, Father, for every person listening today who feels overlooked, rejected, or unseen, I pray God that you will remind them that you see them. Remind them that their pain is not wasted. Remind them that the hidden seasons are not empty seasons, they are preparation seasons. Help them trust that you are writing something greater than they can see. And may their Leah season become the birthplace of your purpose in Jesus' name. Amen. And amen and amen. I want to thank you for joining me today on the Beautiful Me Empowerment Ministry podcast. If this episode blessed you, share it with someone who may be in their Leah season right now. And remember, you may not be preferred by people, but you are beautifully positioned by God. Until next time, this is your host, Monique, reminding you, you are fearfully, wonderfully, and beautifully made.
