Hello everyone and welcome to our very last episode of the 2025-2026 school year. We will be back in the summer, but for now, this marks the end of her cast. Wait, we'll be back in the fall. We'll be back. What did I say? You said summer. Oh. I meant the fall. Um, also, happy birthday to spring. Yay! Go spring. I hope everyone had a great St. Paddy's. Also, happy birthday to my mom.
SPEAKER_03Shout out your mom. Shout out moms. We still love moms.
SPEAKER_01Since we're kind of getting into the sping of like finals and stuff, are you guys looking at tickets for Blues Fest?
SPEAKER_03Oh, they're bought. Yes, I am.
SPEAKER_01Purchased. Oh, you guys already bought them.
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_01Okay, I haven't. I've been like looking at who I want to go with talking to my roommates and everything, but I haven't bought anything yet.
SPEAKER_03I am so, so excited this year. I feel like it's a pretty good lineup, especially for um Country. Country's It's a good year for country. Yes. And who else? Gwen Stefani. Gwen Stefani. I thought that was crazy because I was reading the lineup and I thought, okay, hot take. I thought the lineup this year was like I don't want to say like lame. It was just not as like big as I was expecting it to be. Because the previous years that I've gone, like I saw Maroon 5 and like Pitbull and like Ludacris, and I feel like those were like huge like standout names. But I don't know half of the people who are at Blue Spest this year. No, I think. I think you might just not like country. I think it's just because of country. Country is really big. Cody Johnson, Cody Johnson. Oh my god. And Ella Langley is very exciting for the country people. I am most excited for the Lumineers. Yes. And Conan Gray, but the Lumineer is like, that's gonna be such a good show.
SPEAKER_01I want to see Gwen Stefani, Ella Langley, and the Lumineers. Those are like, that's like where I want to get the three-day pass. Yeah. Um the last time, because I've actually seen Gwen Stefani live before. Yeah. Because uh Blake Shelton was the last day headliner and he brought Gwen Stefani on because they're married.
SPEAKER_03So my God, like so obsessed. Um I know that, okay, super random. Same day as Gwen Stefani, Sean Paul's also gonna be there. Again? Yeah. Wait, he went late last year, right? Am I Are you sure? I think. Wait, no, I don't think he is going. Oh my god, who was I looking at? The same day as Gwen Stefani, there's someone else, and I was like, that seems really strange. Oh my god. Mariah the scientist is going. It was Shaggy. Forgive me. There's also, again, Ella Langley, the guest who we have Hardy is on there. Um who else is Baby No Money? Lord Huron. I actually love Baby Noah.
SPEAKER_01I was just about to say no dollar sign.
SPEAKER_03Baby Noss. Because I don't know if no, I love Baby No Money. And it's a mistake if you don't go. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01He is so fun. When is he like, who's his headliner? Uh the Lumineers.
SPEAKER_03Oh my god, yes. Yes! Okay, sure. It's the perfect I am a baby no money stan. It's like a guilty pleasure almost. No, it is. Miles Smith is going, Natasha Beddingfield is going. There's lots of options. Jesse Murph is going, Limpus Kit. So there's tons and tons of options across tons and tons of genres. It's actually pretty diverse this year. I feel like there's something for everyone, which is exciting. Did you guys go see Limp Bizkit? Uh, I think my sister's gonna go, but I don't know if it's for me. Uh I told my friend that I wanted to go, and he said that he'd rather eat his shoe. Oh, good. Yeah, sure. Yeah, okay. I feel like that in Calcutta.
SPEAKER_01I was really disappointed that Benson Boone wasn't a headliner.
unknownNo, I know.
SPEAKER_03Put that idea in your head, and I was like, Miles Smith feels close.
SPEAKER_01I don't know who Miles Smith is.
SPEAKER_03I can't like it. Not silence, but yeah.
SPEAKER_01Okay, okay, but okay, but I don't think Benson Boone has ever toured in Canada yet.
SPEAKER_03No, he's on one tour, and it was literally called like the all-American type, like whatever.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so yeah. Okay, cool.
SPEAKER_03Um, but I don't think he's coming to Canada anytime soon.
SPEAKER_01How about uh someone coming to Canada who maybe he doesn't like Canada so much? Cardi B, we're calling you out.
SPEAKER_03Cardi B posted a video. I don't know where she posted, if it was on like Twitter, Instagram, probably Instagram. She is pissed that Hamilton, Ontario is her only show that's not like sold out here. I'm gonna play the clip.
SPEAKER_00Hey, so every city for the Lumen's Drama Tour is practically sold out. If it's not 100% sold out, it's like 98%, 99%, like everything, except for one city, which is Hamilton, Ontario. It's like 80% sold out. And I'm letting you Canadians know if y'all break my sold-out streak, I'm going to I'm gonna I'm gonna I don't I don't know what I'm gonna do. If y'all break my fing streak, y'all better go buy them tickets. Y'all not breaking my perfectly sold-out streak. I'm not playing with y'all.
SPEAKER_03I'm not playing with combination.
SPEAKER_01Okay, Cardi.
SPEAKER_03She's like, sh. Dude, I get it. I don't even blame her. No.
SPEAKER_01No, I was just gonna say, to be fair, Hamilton would do that.
SPEAKER_03No, I don't. So everybody's gonna start refunding their tickets. Imagine. Yeah. Well, I guess we've already talked about Blues Fest, but there is another one that's so close by. Oh shega. Oshiega! Which there has been some crazy, like, all across the board reviews on the lineup this year. Some people love it, some people hate it, some people are like, hmm, it's gonna be fun for the vibes.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03So, what are our thoughts? I am really gonna try to go. I have this awful curse where another guilty pledge of 21 pilots. I've been into 21 pilots for the past. That doesn't shock me at all. I know. I love 21 pilots. 10 years of my life. Like, I've only seen them on tour once before, and every other time that I've tried to go, I had exams, or I had this, I had that. I was even supposed to go see their like concert in theaters, couldn't go. So I'm in Montreal that week. I'm gonna try to make it.
SPEAKER_01Me too. For our yellow card. Yes. So yeah. Middle fingers up to both. Oops. So, okay, me and my roommates really want to go to Montreal. I just want to go for like a fun little shopping weekend. But they want to go for Oshega. But I can't personally like afford that. You know, I'm a student, I'm bad student. Um, so that's not happening for me, but I am kind of sad that I'm missing Zara Larson.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. No, I know. I think I'm gonna try to say because see, I'm seeing her in a grande on like Tuesday. So I'm seeing her on like You gotta book an Airbnb now. Yeah. I booked an Airbnb in September. I'm not even doing, I'm doing like a hotel. It's so insane. Dude, I have this like sweet spot in Montreal. It's like not it's not close to the venue. So it's really easy and it's so cute. It's a little hole in the wall. And so I think I'm just gonna book there and then just take book. Book it now. Yeah. Book it now. I'm like, I've already booked my concert. I'm going to a concert next month. Books. I have one in back in Montreal in May. Books. Like, don't even play with me about that. So for those who haven't seen the lineup, some of the big names are 21 Pilots. Um, how do you say the XX?
unknownI don't know.
SPEAKER_03Okay. I don't know who they are. Uh pardon me if that's like not the way to say it. The neighborhood, Geese, Kalani, Tate McCrae is going, Somber, Turnstyle, Empire of the Sun, Mount Joy. That's exciting. Even Finn Wolfheart's gonna be there. Yeah. Weird. Yeah. Okay. He's six. Um Lord. I'm really excited for Lord. Gonna Major Laser, Clips, Subtronics, Zara Larson. So it's a it's a pretty good lineup in my opinion. I will be there for Saturday and Sunday. I'm most excited for Empire of the Sun, actually. Oh my god. Dude. I'm so excited. And Major Laser. I am there. Major Laser and Zara Larson. Dude. Oh my god. I am gonna be on, like I just- You guys just FaceTime me while Zara. Oh yeah. I will. I actually will. If you remind me, I will. Okay. Because I just think this lineup is so fun. Like, it's not anything like huge and monumental, but I think when you look at each like artist, it's gonna be a party. And that's kind of what where Oshiega is a little bit different from Blues Fest. Because Blues Fest, I feel like you're there for the music, but I feel like with Oshiega, you can be there for like the vibes. Like they have it's a bigger venue, it's it's just a bigger situation. It's low-key like Woodstock. Yeah, it's like in modern times. Like it's just it's fun, and it's it's gonna be fun, it's gonna be a beat, and I am so, so excited.
SPEAKER_01I've gotta say, I've been seeing a lot of people uh hating on Tate McCrae recently. Yes. Even like people that I know who love Tate McCrae's music, they've like genuinely stopped listening to her just because she's like basically in love with the United States and she's a media.
SPEAKER_03I'm not gonna lie, I'm not a fan for glazing. So I've like stopped listening to her because I literally cannot. I've never listened to her once in my life. I do like her music, but I don't know. She's I can't like Tiffer Tad is such a good song. Like when you when you're listening to Tate McCray and you don't have an annoying person in your ear saying, Then Crane sucks.
SPEAKER_01It's really good.
SPEAKER_03It's really good.
SPEAKER_01I'm sure she has like a wonderful voice, but I've never listened to her. No, fair enough.
SPEAKER_03It took me a while to get into her. Like her tone is super weird, but it took me a while. I was like, she's kind of cooking.
SPEAKER_01Once you like she can once she hits that sweet spot, like you're trying to so another thing I was actually talking about the other night with again, my roommates um is escapade in Ottawa.
SPEAKER_02Oh, that's always fun.
SPEAKER_01So I am not like an EDM girl. I do not listen to that kind of music. I personally think it sounds like crap. Tell us how you really feel. However, it's such vibes. Like I just want to go for the vibes. Yeah, you know.
SPEAKER_03People dress up and people get crazy for that. Like, it's wild. I know. If you're really into that thing, then it's like gonna be the best weekend ever. But if you're not, then like don't waste your money.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but I just want to go for like again, like the vibes. Yeah, do it. And like have fun with my friends. Like, if we all go together, that'd be so chill. Right. Not even no, it would be the opposite of chill. Like it actually would be a good thing. But it'd be like crazy. The vacuum chill. You know?
SPEAKER_03So loud. Yeah. Okay. I have been getting zero work done, obviously, like mid-March, so like it's it's really hitting everyone, I feel like. Yeah. But it's been perpetuated extremely by all the new TV that's out. Oh god. Oh my god. It's bad. They need to like wait until summer when I'm available.
SPEAKER_01I can't help myself. I I do it anyways. I watch it anyways. All of it. I'll be doing a single thing.
SPEAKER_03I'll turn on like Love is Blind and I'll start studying. I'm like, I can multitask and I'm no laptop shut. I don't even like Chris has been far too talked about for Love is Blind to see someone.
SPEAKER_01Okay, the elf munchkin little dumbo.
SPEAKER_03I don't even think we should give him our attention. No, that's not true. To be honest. Um Vic and Christine. Wait, actually I do adorable. I do want to say I've been rooting for them since they won.
SPEAKER_01I do want to say one thing about Chris though. In the reunion, you can really tell that he's been like uh like PR trained. Like media trained. Media trained because those those responses.
SPEAKER_03Like Chat GPT answers.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, they were like, they were very straight and narrow, and he only spoke when spoken to. I don't know why. He didn't elaborate on anything.
SPEAKER_03Because like nothing he could have said would have been received well. So like I don't Right. I don't Okay, I do care for messy reunions. I They're deeply important to me. Yes. I wish it was messier. I miss the like screaming, crying, pointing. Give me like season two.
SPEAKER_01Okay, but Amber literally stormed off.
SPEAKER_03Okay, yeah.
SPEAKER_01That was so weird. I don't know. I think I'm on Jordan's side. Okay, after watching the reunion, yes, but here's my opinion on Jordan. I think if you want to be in a relationship where a child's involved, you can't be that immature and wanting to live in the city where you can go to the bar side. Yeah, I know. Right. She has a like an eight-year-old child. You either are committed and you're moving to Mount Vernon. Right.
SPEAKER_03But your priority should not be getting wasted on a Saturday night. I think he was not ready, but I also think she is a little bit crazy.
SPEAKER_01Yes, she and that's I mean, it's very evident, but she's so funny. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, she's a couple of funny. She's so straight up.
SPEAKER_01It's funny.
SPEAKER_03She looks a little bit deranged sometimes, but you know what? I'm kind of really here for it. We all had terrible fake hands. Oh my god. It was distracting me. Yeah. I know. I was like, I can't do the fake hands right now.
SPEAKER_01I've gotta say, like, love Jess.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01All power to her, like you're a baddie, and you really talk Chris down. However, lay off a fake tan girl. You literally look fake her in her new manner, so oh my god. They're both doctors. Yes, I loved that, except that little monologue he had sounded so script.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it was a lot of performative.
SPEAKER_01I know I was talking to my mum after, and she's like, I thought he was saying all that because he was gonna propose. No, he's saying for the love of the game. And then he didn't, and it was like, what was he than that for?
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Brie and Connor are really cute though. She got a little bit much for me at the end, but I think they like each other so she lost me. I couldn't, like, she lost me.
SPEAKER_01It just seems like she's got like this like leash on him. And he just doesn't care what she does.
SPEAKER_03I think he's holding his own leash though. Yeah. Like I don't think he's called. He's not taking his own collar off. I don't think she's even happy where he is. I think she's got like he's walking on an invisible leash that he made himself.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. He he like clipped his own collar.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. He clipped his own collar. And then Netflix also has like some more like what?
SPEAKER_01You weren't done with Love is Blind? No. No, carry on. Oh, okay. Okay. No, I just know what you're gonna say. Yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_03Last night I started watching Age of Attraction. And this morning, I saw the trailer for Love on the Spectrum season whatever. I like Netflix needs to stop. I can't. I don't have to be able to do that. I know. Both of you have seen at least I know you've seen all of Age of Attraction.
SPEAKER_01I've watched all the available episodes so far for Age of Attraction, and it's like it's like It's very creepy. The show is being filmed in Vancouver. Yes. Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_03They were on a date. Two of them were on a date, and I was like, oh my god, I've literally been on that bridge. I've literally been on that bridge. I was freaking out. I was like, oh my god, I've been there.
unknownOh my god.
SPEAKER_01I've been on that bridge, right where they are. I've never heard I've never seen a um like the Netflix. Like I've I've never seen any reality show be filmed in Canada at all.
SPEAKER_03Have you seen Canada Shore?
SPEAKER_01No. It started? Well, obviously that would be.
SPEAKER_03Guys, guys, guys, guys, guys. I'm so sorry. I need to derail the whole conversation. Canada Shore. I started it with my best friend as a joke. It's not true. You need to watch Canada Shore, right?
SPEAKER_01I've never watched Jersey Shore.
SPEAKER_03No, it doesn't matter. You don't need to see it. It is like, it is so, so, so, so terrible that it's amazing. Does that make sense? Yes, it does. Holy crazy. These people are deranged.
SPEAKER_01But you can't be telling me this because I need a study for five years. I actually do have to lock it up.
SPEAKER_03Oh, you need to watch Canada Shore because it's like, it's actually like. Is there one season? It's like Yeah, it's like the last episode of the first season hasn't even like dropped yet. Like I'm following week by week. Like it is so, so good. I'm adding this. I keep saying I'm gonna add it to my list. I actually do need to get it. I thought it was gonna be awful. And you know, it was like it was so good that Cody Co. reviewed it. Wait, I have a question about age of attraction. Okay, break this down for me. Is it like the same sort of premises of blind? Like, do they see each other or is it like a blind date?
SPEAKER_01No, they they're it's like a bunch of blind people. Yeah, so they all go to this like retreat place and they all date each other. They can see each other.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I was about to say, I'm like, it's I feel like you kind of be easy to like guess like an age range.
SPEAKER_01So the thing is.
SPEAKER_03They pick people that you can't.
SPEAKER_01The thing is, though, there's a six-year-old in there. He does not look like that. He looks like 45. Oh and the for the 54-year-old woman I was telling you about, she looks like she's in her late 30s. Okay. Like they're age, they age.
SPEAKER_03They don't look their age, and like the young people, they're younger than they l look.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_03So like they are really trying to like get the age gap, and it's like so they're I think the youngest girl in there is 21.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_03She's 22. She's 22. Libby.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, she's the blonde one. But they basically decide, like, okay, you're the person I want to like do this experience with. Like, we're gonna go to the promise room. Weird. That sounds so bad. Yeah, but they go to the promise room and they tell each other their age, and they're like, oh my god.
SPEAKER_01They have to commit before telling each other ages, though.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it's crazy.
SPEAKER_01We'll have to see. Crazy.
SPEAKER_03It is so messy. I can't wait. I'm definitely gonna watch this. Yeah, and then there's also the The Mormon Wives just came out.
SPEAKER_01Yes, okay, so okay. I thought it was gonna be okay. Listen, I breathe, everyone. Yeah, I thought it was gonna be weekly episodes, and then so me and my roommates were like prepared to go on and be like, hey, we're only watching one episode today, and then we'll wait until next week, and you know, like how we did with like Tommy Lies. Yeah. Anyways, no, we go on and it's all dropped. Uh-oh. And we were like, oh shit. This is gonna become our life for the next like week. So I've I'm a couple I'm like two episodes further than them because they were away for St. Patty's weekend. But uh, it's kind of crazy, but it's like not as crazy as past seasons. Like, there's not that much drama yet.
SPEAKER_03I heard it's a lot about like the dads this time. I haven't watched it.
SPEAKER_01DAG talk. They're so annoying. They create unne- I mean, they all create unnecessary drama. Yeah. But are you trying to play footsies with me? No, it's just un uncrossing my legs.
SPEAKER_03Or all of our legs are crossed and all of our feet are touching. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Oh well. Um, yeah, there's like, and the dads have like confessionals now, and I'm really not vibing with it. Like, this is the secret lives of Mormon wives. I don't want to see not husbands. Me, I don't.
SPEAKER_03And nobody does. No. But you know who's really funny on TikTok? Chase.
SPEAKER_01I think the entire internet wants him and Miranda back together.
SPEAKER_03I know. But I don't blame her at all. No. I don't think they should.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_03Survivor 50.
SPEAKER_01Yes!
SPEAKER_03Um, don't kill me. We know. We already know.
SPEAKER_01What we don't know what Survivor is? We already know.
SPEAKER_03No. You know what it is? I don't know what it is. Hold on, hold on. What's the right? I knew you didn't watch it. You don't know what it is? I don't think so. Are you have you ever heard of it never rocked? Guys, one at a time, please.
SPEAKER_01No, I can't. Okay, basically, it's where like 2,000 people go onto an island and they compete and they they compete for a million dollars. Cool, great.
SPEAKER_03This is the 50th season. This is like That is so much media. Fifty seasons a year ago. They do two seasons.
SPEAKER_01They do two seasons a year. Okay. So it's been running for 25 years. They've had the same host, Jeff Propes, for all seasons. And this is him. He's a fine as hell.
SPEAKER_03That's a rock star shit. He's in a helicopter. No. And like he's been doing it forever, and he's so old now, but he's still hot.
SPEAKER_01So the thing is also is that there have been couples come out of Boston Robin Amber. Boston Robin Amber. Oh my god, I love. I wish Boston Rob was on this season. I think he's done his time and he did he did so well on Traders.
SPEAKER_03He'll be back. I think he'll be back to Survivor. I've definitely heard of Survivor, I think. Okay. Okay. The girls. Yeah, I've definitely heard of it. Yeah. Didn't know that it was like I people like parody it a lot. Yeah. I've seen a lot of like Netflix parodies that same shit. So it's not a good idea. Yeah, like Total Drama Island. Yes. It's based off Survivor. Oh, okay. Oh my god, I used to love that show. I know. Love Total Drama Island. Yeah, so that's what it is. So like Chris is supposed to be Jeff Probes. Okay. Does that make sense? I got it. I got it. And it's the same vibes, too.
SPEAKER_01So anyway, Survivor 50 has all of the All-Stars back. It is like the biggest All-Star season.
SPEAKER_03So exciting.
SPEAKER_01This is just for personal interest. Have you seen White Lotus?
SPEAKER_03No.
SPEAKER_01Okay, okay.
SPEAKER_03Okay, so Mike White, the producer and directory. He directed, created, he's an all-star. We're very excited. And he's all of a sudden ripped. He's a six-pack now? Yes. He's like 60. Hello? He's like 16. You need to watch White Lotus. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Because I You've never watched The White Lotus? Nessa, okay, Nessa, listen, though, knowing you, you would die from White Lotus.
SPEAKER_03You would not like Survivor. You would love the White Lotus. And then you just have to think the guy who created, wrote, directed is on Survivor. Yes. Okay. And he puts his castmates as extras in the show.
unknownYes.
SPEAKER_03And it's epic.
SPEAKER_01It's epic.
SPEAKER_03That is really cool.
SPEAKER_01Okay. He's also in School of Rock.
SPEAKER_03Okay. With Jack Black. Okay.
SPEAKER_01He like produced that show or directed it. Okay, we'll move on from Survivor.
SPEAKER_03at the same time. So this will sound like.
SPEAKER_01No, you can catch up with Survivor right now. Yeah, there's only uh three episodes out and they come out every Wednesday.
SPEAKER_03Okay, great. Yeah, you can hop on this like real quick. Oh, oh yes. Yes. Oh, I will be catching up.
SPEAKER_01Two my favorites are I uh I love Ozzie.
SPEAKER_03I know he's not gonna win, but I love him.
SPEAKER_01I do too. Actually, my dog is named after Ozzie. Really? Yes. Oh yes, I know. That's really cute.
SPEAKER_03Um I I love Christian right now and Rick Devons. Oh my god, Christian! Christian and Rick Devons are my favorite. He made he made fire with like two pairs of glasses and like the sun, and he's like making fire. It's way harder than it sounds.
SPEAKER_01But he's like so smart and he's like But he was in he was in um David versus Goliath. David versus Goliath, yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And Mike White and Angelina were on that season as well.
SPEAKER_01Yes. Um so Christian is so funny. We you would love him. He's such a nerd. We love him. Rick Devons is a journalist. Rick Devins is a yeah, he's a news anchor. Okay. And so he's he's like a he's a really big idol guy.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So when he finds idols, he uses his anchor voice and like in his like confessional. I really like him. I love Emily.
SPEAKER_03But I like Emily too, but she's like she's a self-sabotager. I hate Emily.
SPEAKER_01Really? I've never ever liked Emily. She was the last regular season of Survivor that I watched before I came to university and I couldn't watch it on my own because I wasn't at home. Yeah. I hated Emily. I'll say she's not playing a terrible game right now, but I just can't stand her.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, fair enough. I but Christian is my hopefully winner pick. Like, I want him to win so bad.
SPEAKER_01Okay, we'll move on because I know that Nessa. So Euphoria.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Euphoria.
SPEAKER_01Euphoria's coming out.
SPEAKER_03I've never seen Euphoria.
SPEAKER_01What?
SPEAKER_03So you know how you guys were just screaming at me because I've never seen this forever? He's never watched Euphoria.
SPEAKER_02I've just, okay. Not gonna lie, I get scared. Of? Of what? I tried the first episode, I just got scared. I got afraid. Like it's scary. It's not scary. It's a little scary. Babe, of what? I don't know what. Drugs. I'm scared.
unknownGirl.
SPEAKER_03It made you scared of drugs. Okay, don't use them. Like Grace. Like that is so random. I'm scared of it. It's too intense. I'm scared.
SPEAKER_01I I will say I think that euphoria kind of I think it was marketed towards people that were way too young.
SPEAKER_03I don't think I should have started watching it when I didn't.
SPEAKER_01No, it came out when we were like 14.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. But like still. I was scared. And then I watched it until I was like 16. And not because like I just I just it seemed too like. I don't want to say mature, but like we were 14. Uh mature. Yeah. Yeah. Mature.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. But I just I think that they I cannot think of the word. They like they present the high as a good experience.
SPEAKER_03They like romanticize drug use.
SPEAKER_01They romanticize drug use. That's exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much. Anyways, it's all like glitter and sparkles.
SPEAKER_03It's like no, someone's like actually doing Coke in the background.
SPEAKER_01However, they sh they don't romanticize the addiction part.
SPEAKER_03No.
SPEAKER_01Oh well that's good.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but the actual drug use, they use like colors and like cool shapes and stuff, and it's like the glitter and sh like and like the color grade, it makes it seem I don't want to say these. It makes it seem like like it's a cool experience. Oh my gosh. Something I find interesting that um I just discovered earlier today. There's gonna be a UK version of SNL. But do we think that is going to be interesting? Because I looked at the cast list this morning and no offense, but I'm lost. But I think the people in the UK would know. Like we wouldn't know, but they would know. Right. Obviously, yeah.
SPEAKER_01I don't watch SNL when it's on. I just watch TikTok clips. Yeah. And I've got to be honest with you, like, it's not that entertaining to me.
SPEAKER_03No, sometimes I get lost in it. Like sometimes it's literally like hours of really like dull like skits. It's very hit or miss. Yeah. Like you either get just like such a good show, or it's like, eh, that sucked. It's like it's so night and day.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03But I when it's good, I I'm on board.
SPEAKER_01I definitely like look into watching SNL UK though. Like it Yeah. Like there's funny people all over the world. It's not like the same thing with like The Office.
SPEAKER_03Like there's a UK version of The Office, and it wasn't funny to Americans. And so there's the American version of The Office, which is really popular in America, because the humor is really different.
SPEAKER_01I didn't know there was a UK version of the US version. Yeah, I think it's the original version.
SPEAKER_03Oh yeah, the US one is tailored for like our humor because it doesn't make any sense to us to watch the UK version. It's it's like it's a completely like it's like a comedic like language barrier. Like it's so different. I didn't even watch the American one. I didn't know.
SPEAKER_01Oh, you have to. It's so funny. It's dark humor though. Like you've gotta like dark humor. Yeah, I like dark humor. Okay. Well then I think you like it. Um, also speaking, well, just go back to Euphoria for a second. So Labyrinth creates a lot of the uh soundtrack for Euphoria.
SPEAKER_03And I was gonna say did he crash out on the internet? Yes or no?
SPEAKER_01Yes, he did. Yes, he did. We don't really know why. And you know what? We probably never will. He basically said um that he is done with the industry and done with the show. And mind you, this is right ahead of season three release. Like, I really wonder what happened and why he would freak out like this. Because I always thought like Labyrinth was like a nice guy. Like he's on TikTok, right? Like he seems a bit chill, but this is like a Kanye level crash-out. He goes in all caps in an Instagram post. Kanye level crash out. That's actually so valid though. It is. Mind you, this is all caps. I'm done with this industry, Columbia, double euphoria, I'm out, thank you, and good night. X. I thought it was Kanye when I first.
SPEAKER_03I don't think this is like a Kanye level crash out. I think that like the industry, especially for artists, is always so shitty. So I'm assuming he's getting like he's getting the shorter end of the stick here. Probably. And he's just crashing. Like, sure, Kanye crash out. Is it valid though? I'm gonna assume yes.
SPEAKER_01So he produced original songs and the electric score for Euphoria for both the first two seasons. Yeah, he's fantastic.
SPEAKER_03He is so good at what he does, so I'm assuming he got f ⁇ ed over and he's crashing out about it, which I can respect a good crash out. Yeah, hey, whatever you're in for. Dude, it's entertaining as hell, but I'm also so curious. Like, what could have happened?
SPEAKER_01I think it's because um they're saying the post may point back to the fact that legendary composer Han Zimmer was brought on to season three to score the series alongside Labyrinth. Maybe he's not happy about that. They may have made that decision without consulting him. Because that's like shit. It does take away his like full control of the music. Yeah. And like his.
SPEAKER_03He's been doing that for so long. And Han Zimmer is like a huge name, so it kind of overshadows him. Exactly. Like it kind of is a a little bit of an F you.
SPEAKER_01So I can see why he'd be upset about that. Yeah. But but my question is, has he already created the music for the season three release? Because it's coming out, like they would have already had all of that done.
SPEAKER_02Although I haven't seen Euphoria at all, I did watch the trailer for this season, and I was very confused.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03By Sydney Sweeney. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_01Wait, I don't think I actually watched the trailer.
SPEAKER_03She's an OnlyFans model in a dog costume. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Wait, I thought that was Barbie. I thought she did that.
SPEAKER_03Oh, okay, cool. Yeah. Very on brand for Sydney Sweeney. Yeah. In the show, she's literally an OnlyFans model, but I saw that last time.
SPEAKER_01Oh Sydney Sweeney. Absolutely devastated about Eric Dane dying, though.
SPEAKER_03I was gonna say, like the cast of Euphoria is giving like, okay, this is a lame reference. Like a glee curse, like the glee curse. Yeah. A bunch of the glee cast is dead. I'm sorry, I've never thought about that, but I just realized the glee cast is dead. Is dead, yeah. A lot of them. A lot of them are dead.
SPEAKER_01And a lot of euphoria people are dying too.
SPEAKER_03Now, like, super off topic, but there's like the like trilogy of like Sam Smith doppelgangers, and now Sam Smith is the only one of the three who's alive. Because Mac Miller. You know what I'm talking about? No, they're Mac Miller doppelgangers. They're not Sam Smith doppelgangers. Okay, whatever. Sam Smith is a Mac Mill doppelganger. And then not the other way around. Angus, what is his name? Angus Cloud? Yeah. The three of them look the same, and now Sam Smith is the only one who's alive. That is terrible.
unknownOh my god.
SPEAKER_03What the hell? Oh my god. Yeah. Okay. Take that however way you want to.
SPEAKER_01Have you guys seen Wuthering Heights? Yeah, I have. I have not.
SPEAKER_03I went by myself. My best friend went to go see it and she immediately texted me. She thought was an experience, and I really want to see it.
SPEAKER_01I want to see it, but I'm like, should I just wait until it goes to streaming? That's gonna be so long.
SPEAKER_03Wait. We could still see it in theaters. I think if you've read the book, you're not gonna like the movie. I think if you haven't read the book, you're gonna like the movie. I haven't read the book, and I really liked the movie because I was just like, I I am one to appreciate more of the like costumes and the scenery and the colors and you know, colors to convey emotion and like composition rather than like the story.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03So I think that's why I enjoyed it so much because it was such a beautiful movie, like that. Like in terms of the artsy stuff. I've seen so many TikToks, and people are like, here's all the reasons why I don't like Wuthering Heights, and it's because they've read the book and then seen the movie, and they're like, This character is supposed to be like a person of color, and it's literally Jacob Lordy. I'm like, okay. Jacob Lordy was oh, he's so funny. Attractive in that movie. Oh, he's so fine.
SPEAKER_01He's like honestly, like the he's the new Leonardo DiCaprio. A hundred percent. He's in everything. He's in Euphoria, mind you. He's like doing all of these insane movies with insane actors. Yeah, right. Do you know what's that?
SPEAKER_03He's got a big year. And he he did a great job, in my opinion. He's a good actor. Like he's really good.
SPEAKER_01He's a good actor.
SPEAKER_03Yes. He is.
SPEAKER_01Didn't he play? Didn't he play Elvis? Yeah, he is Priscilla. In Priscilla. And he also did Frankenstein recently.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. And Saltburn. Like he's been working on him and Priscilla. That's what I'm saying. Oh my god. Oh my god. Go watch Worthering Heights right now. Oh my goodness. Didn't it happen? Okay, the Charlie XEX song Chains of Love, that's in Worthering Heights. It fits the spot in the movie perfectly. It was clearly written for the movie. Yeah. It is a fantastic song. It's been on repeat in my car. It's going platinum on my Apple music. Like Chains of Love by Charlie XCX. Such a good song. And normally, like I was a little bit worried when I saw she was doing the soundtrack for it because I was like, this is a bit like you just left your brat era. Like, what are you doing? But she actually did a really great job and it like lined up with like what was going on and it like it just it was really good in my opinion.
SPEAKER_01But honestly, I can't wait to watch it. I forgot about it. Like, I haven't been to the movies in probably a month or more. I think you'll like it a lot. I was thinking that Margot and Jacob had like a way bigger age gap than they did, but they're only seven years apart.
SPEAKER_03Oh, really? I thought they were She's 35 and he's 28.
SPEAKER_01She's only 35.
SPEAKER_03He's not like I don't want to say like he's not young, he's not even 30 yet, but he's not like I don't know, usually when you pick your like up-and-coming movie stars or like in their early 20s or some shit. Like he's he's pushing 30. Like he's almost there.
SPEAKER_01This means that when he just kissed do the kissing board forever ago. This means that when she was filming or when The Wolf of Wall Street came out. So what's well yeah, because I feel like she's been around for so long. She would have been started 22. She would have been 22.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I'm not saying she doesn't look like she's just been in so many things for so long.
SPEAKER_01Mommy's gonna be wearing very short skirts from now on.
SPEAKER_03Heated rivalry. Um season two. They've announced the first train. Um they confirm like the shooting locations. They're not shooting in Ottawa. Okay, that pisses me off. That pisses me off because you know so much. The CTC would be a great shooting location because it's in the middle of nowhere. Yes. So it would be fine to shoot there, just shoot there. And like, don't piss me off. That's a big parking lot. What are you doing in there, right? What are you doing? Like, lock in. And then it's not like a busy place. It's like a great, like, I'm just saying Ottawa's low-key the perfect like perfect city to shoot a movie. Like they just did that with um, they shoot lots of movies here. They shoot a lot of Michael Sarah and uh Pamela Anderson. Yes. Okay. So Oscar outfits. Oh, I have a lot to say about this. Okay, usually award show outfits are like super outlandish. This year's Oscars were giving like nothing, actually. All of them are just like there was a theme, and it was What was the theme? Oh, I was a sucker for my girl McKenna Grace. She looked so cute.
SPEAKER_01The theme. She had Pokemon cards in her pocket. I think that Emma Stone looked so cute in that satin bar. I do love Emma Stone. Me too. Um Hey, you know who looked so hot? Michael B. Jordan.
SPEAKER_03Oh my king! Oh my gosh. I love Michael B. Jordan. He's so handsome. All my friends do. I literally can't find it, but it was something about like human life or like human nature, and they're all dressed in black and like pearl, which I don't hate. Like the girls low-key, some people were like eating the up. Um Chris Evans don't like the sunglasses.
SPEAKER_01Nicole Kidman's dress is not. I it's it's a flattering fit, but that color washes her out. Like, I I don't know why she wears very skin-colored tones all the time. Like, that's like her thing. But the dress is kind of fire.
SPEAKER_02Mia Goth, Loki, I like such a cool look to her.
SPEAKER_03She does. There's something like slightly uncanny about her face, but not in like a bad way. Like she's just so beautiful. Um who? Mia Goth. I don't even know who that is. Oh, what? I'll find her. Yeah. But her dress, it's it's like honestly giving like grandma's old wedding dress reimagined, but I love it.
SPEAKER_01I think Emma Stone looked the best. And I will stand by that. I really looked like she was going to prom.
SPEAKER_03I liked Jessie Buckley's dress as well. The because she won Best Actress, eh? She with the red and the pink. It was giving very Valentine's Day, but I think it looked really, really good on her, and she looks so happy and she's glowing. I'm gonna butcher her name. Actually, I'm not even gonna try. Um Oh my god, the girl who is in Moana. See the lum over the sky, meets the sea. It calls me. Um her dress is so beautiful. I feel like she really like that gown eats.
SPEAKER_01Um okay, when you guys said earlier that to me more looked like a flamingo, I see it now. Yes. I think I haven't seen her dressing at a recon.
SPEAKER_03That's not even a peacock. She's giving peacock. Kate Hudson is giving candlestick. I will not comment on this any further. And that's all I have for you. Yes.
SPEAKER_01Zoe Saldana looks like she's wearing lingerie.
SPEAKER_03I saw that, yeah. Did you guys see Taylor Frankie Paul? No. It's really, really basic. However, it does look like it was tore, like ripped in the middle. But it's like your bridesmaid's dress. It looks like it's like embroidered to like not terrifying. I don't know what's going on, really.
SPEAKER_02I really liked Jesse Buckley's dress. I thought it's so.
SPEAKER_03Okay, Anne Hathaway. Right? Wow. Like, there's so many looks that were like, I feel like it's the same thing at every single award show where the women actually give it their all and they eat up, and then the guys are all dressed in black tucks.
SPEAKER_01Was Anne Hathaway in Ocean's Goles? Yes. That necklace she's wearing looks like the one in the movie. Let me see it right now. Oh my god, it does.
SPEAKER_03Oh, she looks great. Yeah. Um, on another note, Timothy Chalome at the Oscars. Did you guys hear the news? I did not. You're gonna have to break it down for me. Okay, Timothy Chalome essentially, um, he was nominated for us like several Oscars. Yeah. For Marty Supreme. Yes. He lost all of them. And a lot of people are at the Oscars. What are you talking about? What do you mean when? What do you mean what? He he lost them at the Oscars? He was nominated, did not win any of his nominations.
SPEAKER_01Okay, tell me why.
SPEAKER_03So uh a lot of people saying that it's karma because he made a comment about like not he's like nobody goes to see shows and like they like ballet or opera or shit like that. Which I think is crazy because he went to a performing art school in New York. I feel like, if anywhere, um you'd look appreciate that shit if you're from New York. Yeah. Um What did he say exactly though? I'm kinda like I'm gonna look at it. If he's just saying I don't like the ballet and the opera, like, are we serious? No, it was like a really like tone-deaf comment about him. He's like, I don't think anyone would want to go see that. It was like, and everyone's like, well, that's like kind of insensitive, and like his mom was either like a ballet dancer or did opera. Like it was like it was really tone-deaf. And most actors do theater is right. Okay, he did theater. He's a theater kid. Like it was like really crazy that he said that. I feel like that's like it's just kind of like a shitty comment, but it's not like cancelable. No, and not by any amount. Okay, good. No, and then at the Oscars, um, the Sinners casted like a performance, and then there was a whole thing where they had a ballerina there, there was a ballerina, and as soon as she came to the end of the stage, they pinned the camera at him. That was so everyone's like, you lost all your nominations, and you look like right now. Like oh no, and he didn't look good in his outfit.
SPEAKER_01No, he looked so good.
SPEAKER_03Kylie looked washed so good, though. Really? Kylie looked amazing, so at least he had that going for him. He needed one win of the night, and clearly, like, she looked phenomenal. She was wearing Ali Scaparelli. Scaparelli?
SPEAKER_01Was it the red one?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, with the lock. She looks really, really good. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Oh, she does. Yeah, she looks good. She always looks good. Yeah, it's annoying. Okay, so I think that in honor of World Poetry Day tomorrow, we are going to read a poem. Yay! This comes from my very lovely little sister. She's so talented, and I love you, and we all love this poem, so I'm gonna read it now. Bear with me. It's called Delicately Wild. They will try to change you, change your hair, and change the way you grow wild. Men will try to put you down, try to convince you that you need them to survive. You will guard your smiles because they said never to cry or frown. You will hold on to them close because you believe it when they say that they love you. But let me tell you something. You are brilliant, you are lovely, you are stronger than their fists. You are perfection in everything you are and everything you do. Don't let anyone tell you different, because they will always try to dim our wild. Oh. That was so beautifully written. And I'm so proud of you and everything you're achieving. And that really resonates with that. Sounds like the um America Ferrera Barbie monologue. It's reminding me of that. I'm oh my god. It's so true as well. Yeah. Like being a woman is so it's awesome, but it's so hard.
SPEAKER_03Alright, so this wraps up our final episode for the school year. We had such a good debut year, and we've had so much fun making these episodes. Thank you so much for tuning in, and we will be back in September.
SPEAKER_01Good luck with exams, everyone. And a happy spring! Happy spring. Happy spring.
