SPEAKER_05

Alright. We good to get this riggedy rolling.

SPEAKER_04

I've been fucking waiting on you. I've just been waiting on you to bust it in with the intro. Well, then I'm gonna bust all over you.

SPEAKER_05

Bust!

SPEAKER_01

Hello, everyone! No, go ahead.

SPEAKER_03

Go ahead.

SPEAKER_01

Continue.

SPEAKER_05

I can't wait for later. It is another beautiful day today, and another beautiful day to recording the What A We In for podcast with my buddy Ryu. We are a podcast where we record anything related to the furry fandom, sometimes entirely about the fandom, sometimes it's not enough about it. I'm the dumb dog, he's a dumb dirg, and speaking of the dumb derg buddy, that's the beautiful, beautiful, handsome little fuck. How are you? Oh.

SPEAKER_04

I'm great. I'm I'm I'm having a great day. Today was a great day. And um I'm I'm having a great time because I get to talk to you and a minute.

SPEAKER_05

I've missed you so much. I missed you so the burp's coming too. The burps miss you too. Oh no, we cut it out. Oh no, we put in a funny clown sound effect for that. There I go, put myself more to more work. It's been so long. What's new? Why are you smiling? What's got what's got you?

SPEAKER_04

You are a clown.

SPEAKER_05

Just smiling. Who me? Yeah. Why are you smiling?

SPEAKER_04

Me? Uh you just I don't know. You you just have a way to know whenever I'm smiling, I guess. Um I'm just happy to be here. I'm just really happy to be here. I miss you so much.

SPEAKER_05

It really has been a couple weeks because I was away for a convention. You were in the process of getting the move together. Uh speaking of the move.

SPEAKER_04

Yes, so we're getting a house. And it's a pretty cool house. And Adobe gets to see the pretty cool house this year where he comes over and we go ride bikes together in the neighborhood, and we go skatepock, and we go fishing, and we do all the things. And I make him very tired because we do a bunch of things all day once, and it's gonna be a great time.

SPEAKER_05

I can't wait to do a bunch of things with you. If you guys want to see any of that, like via like shorts or like little videos or clips, just let us know. Be more than happy to record some of it. But we also gotta have our us time and our us time together. Yes, but we'll also be recording some podcast episodes together too, while we're there, because we got some fun things and it planned, so that's gonna be really exciting. I'm very excited, and I miss you so much, and I miss you so much extra because I've been away and I missed you.

SPEAKER_04

We've been so busy and life's just been really shit. I'm up, I'm still on I'm I I'm damn cash you. I'm still unemployed. Uh jobless fuck. I turned down the job offer I applied for. Oh, why? Um I just was like really depressed and I just felt like I wouldn't be a good fit. And I feel like there would be somebody better out there that could take that position. I was just doubting myself and I regret it a little bit. But it's it's okay.

SPEAKER_05

Listen, I have a solution. We can rename the podcast to the health mental health manic maniacs with that help. That has a ring to it, right?

SPEAKER_04

We can do that another time.

SPEAKER_05

That'd be a good episode to do as well, because you and I are both experienced in the ways of Boeing Bammage.

SPEAKER_04

We're neurospicy. We we know what brain damage is.

SPEAKER_05

Just a little bit. I'm I'm uh I'm I'm habanero spice left. I'm I'm like California Reaper Spice. I'm spice trying to come up with Nope, it's not working. Before anything, I am hoping to get I had something I wanted to chat about, and it's gone. Hmm. Um we put elevator music-wise, try to figure out what I was gonna ask.

SPEAKER_04

Well, while he's figuring out what to ask, um we have a Discord server for anybody who doesn't know. Uh we have a Discord server called What A We Infer, and we talk on there all the time. I tell my friends good morning and goodnight. I don't I don't actually say goodnight, I just heard saying goodnight.

SPEAKER_05

But yes, Discord, we do have a Discord, and it's pretty cool. And we also like we host recording sessions like with a live audience right now. Pretty cool. We can chat with y'all, hang out, come have fun, join the live episodes with the unbleep portions or the cutout portions. They stay here because it's raw. It's raw and it's bitch. It's so cool.

SPEAKER_04

What stays in the what's what what happens in the recording studio? Stays in the street.

SPEAKER_05

Stays in the recording studio.

SPEAKER_04

No, it stays in the in the podcast server.

SPEAKER_05

That it does. And we also do like keeping game nights. It's a friend slot. You like Mega Chameleon? You like Repo? You like Peak? Everyone loves Peak. You can't say no to Peak. We're also going to do game nights for that too every now and then, so just come take a peek. Come join us. You like search and destroy on Modern Warfare 2? I don't got MWTube. That'd be kind of cool. Were you on board? You're bored. And I know how to unboard. We're unb we're unboarding into the deep end.

SPEAKER_04

I know how to I know how to no, I know how to entertain you. And then and then and then and then and then and then and then when and then when when you when Ryu, what are we in for?

SPEAKER_02

We are in for an interview. Oh about you. Little old me.

SPEAKER_04

About little old you today, but regarding specific events of the known as Anthrocon. Today we are interviewing Adobe the Retriever about his Anthrocon experiences, and we'll get to we'll get to hear some of how I went and uh what was the good, what was the bad, and what was the stinky, what was the smell good, you know.

SPEAKER_05

You know. So you're telling me Adobe the Retriever accepted come on the podcast for an interview. That is that that's gotta be such an honor, man. I'm I'm I'm happy for you, honestly. It is a pleasure for me to be here. Not that I'm always here, but such a pleasure, you know, like it's gotta be such an experience for you. We're so gay. I'm excited to talk about Anthrocon. There was a lot that happened, and I have a lot I can talk about. There's a catch.

SPEAKER_04

There's a catch. And the audience, the audience gets to hear it, the audience gets to hear us, gets to hear it from me uh first, and so do you. Um, I'm gonna take a blinker of my cart and then interview you. Fuck.

SPEAKER_05

I can see the title now.

SPEAKER_04

We turned this bad boy on.

SPEAKER_05

You remember how the last one was Anthrocon 2025 and Catch Chart? This is gonna be Anthrocon 2025 and High Stalamander.

SPEAKER_04

Anthro 2026.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, yes. Dude, it's almost been a year!

SPEAKER_02

We've almost been doing this for a year, bro.

SPEAKER_05

We're getting there. We're getting there.

SPEAKER_02

Oh my god. Is that DW the retriever on the What Are We In for a podcast? Being interviewed on the What Are We In for a podcast? Yes, it is AR.

SPEAKER_05

I am a DW the retriever being interviewed on the Woodly Gladcast. The co-host of the What Ain for Podcast, and W the Retriever is the one being interviewed. Guys, sounds like I'm such an ego, but I'm so self-conscious, dude.

SPEAKER_04

Who in the audience is ready for this blinker? Because I know I am.

SPEAKER_05

Pretend I'm pounding my desk in excitement. I'm pounding.

SPEAKER_04

All right. Aeon said, let's do it.

SPEAKER_05

I'm currently pounding.

SPEAKER_04

I didn't cough. I'm so proud of you. You're gonna. The one time I didn't cough. Let me tell you what. Let me take another one.

SPEAKER_05

Oh my god. Anyway, I missed all you guys. It's been so long. Beautiful part is most of that will be cut out. But anyway, anyone who's listening here gets to listen to all of it. Alright, question number one.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Before it kicks in. Did you attend AnthroCon 2026?

SPEAKER_05

No, I did not.

SPEAKER_04

Alright, guys.

SPEAKER_01

Thanks for Thanks for I'm okay. Oh shit.

SPEAKER_04

Anyways, number two. Um, did you first shoot it all?

SPEAKER_05

During Anthrocon 2026 this year, for anyone who doesn't know, if you're living under a rock, Anthrocon is one of the biggest, and this year being the biggest furry convention in the world, to my knowledge, at least in the US. World, I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure one of the biggest in the world. I think the world. And it's held during the July 4th weekend. Um, if you're listening to this past the time, this is uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh do it again.

SPEAKER_04

Uh no, no, no, hold it out, hold it out.

SPEAKER_00

Uh uh Discord's cut me out. Uh keep on hold uh Discord keeps cutting me out.

SPEAKER_05

Anyway, I was gonna harmonize July 4th. I know I would love to harmonize with you, but it wasn't well in. Yes, as W just mentioned in the chat, it had it surpassed 20,000 attendees. It's known as one of the biggest ones um during a very hot season within Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. 20,000 is fucking crazy. Huge. That being said, you asking the question if I had first suited at all, I specifically partialed and or only wore my head. The heat was just too much, the humidity was atrocious, so I more or less wore tank tops in my head.

SPEAKER_04

That sucks, dude.

SPEAKER_05

Above anything else. Um, there was a cool fit though.

SPEAKER_04

That's a cool that's a cool vibe.

SPEAKER_05

I got some I got some cool pictures. Shout out to Aeon. You did get some photo shoot with Aeon. Um, we've got to do that.

SPEAKER_04

Y'all got some sick colored pictures, bro. Those are off the chain.

SPEAKER_05

They look sick. Shout out to the cameraman.

SPEAKER_04

Shout out to Aeon.

SPEAKER_05

But I mean, I wanted the full suit, but I intentionally left my full suiting um gear back in my house, even though I live locally to the con, it just wasn't worth it. I knew I wasn't gonna take a photo or anything. I I did end up getting a family photo shoot with uh my first two family, so I do regret not having the full suit then. But even then, it was still a walk to the convention from where I was, and so I yeah, I only wore my head. That's all that was manageable, at least for me. Um, because I don't want to enjoy my day. I don't want to have to go back to the con and take showers 24-7. It was so fucking humid. I felt I was step outside and I feel like I'm eating soup and drowning. It was just horrible.

SPEAKER_04

That's horrible. That's terrible. And in this heat, bro, this heat lately, this heat lately has been terrible. I'm trying not to cough. No, but this I'm I'm sorry you had to go through that.

SPEAKER_00

You sound so remorseful. I'm so thankful. Thank you for your pity. And then we put elevator music on while he's still uh continues to cough.

SPEAKER_04

No, okay. Turn the elevator music, turn that shit off. Turn that shit off. What were some of your first impressions of this year's Anthrocon as you were like getting in Reg and like walking around seeing how it was set up this year?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, absolutely. They they had the setup equivalent to in my mind, equivalent to how it was last year. My first impressions of Reg was great. We went in, got through there very quickly. So, first impressions of like getting onto site, onto the convention site, seeing the attendance count and everything, everything was pretty good. First impressions, everything was set up, in my opinion, as it should have, as it should be, and as it should stay. Registration was great. It did go very smoothly, waited no longer than maybe 40 minutes in line, and that was like five-ish o'clock, four o'clock, five o'clock for the reg. So prime time for registration. First impressions are great. Like, I mean, city's beautiful, so like I just enjoyed being down there in Pittsburgh. Um, and also knew my plans ahead of time. So just being down there, I was just excited. Like everything was just exciting. Um, nice. There was some tint on the first impressions because it was humid. So going there, especially after having to work on Thursday, you know, I my first impressions were slightly tainted, but not due to Anthrocon itself. It was due to the weather and humidity, which anyone who has talked about Anthrocon, I would put money down that each of them have talked about the humidity at least once. It is, it was it was pretty hot. It's pretty hot. Just like you.

SPEAKER_04

Thanks. Just like you.

SPEAKER_05

I am very sweaty.

SPEAKER_04

You're a sweaty boy? You mean to lick you clean?

SPEAKER_05

Nope.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. That was a bonus question. Did you attend any panels?

SPEAKER_05

And what panels stood out to you the most? I hate to be the bearer of bad news. I did not attend any. Um it was no, it was really, really busy. Um, again, this being one of the biggest attendance counts that we've had at Anthrocon so far. And there were a lot of friends I was trying to see and meet up with. And I'm gonna keep I'm gonna sound I'm gonna sound like a uh a broken record. The heat was a lot. So I ended up unfortunately spending a lot of that time in the hotel, and or I was exhausted from the work in the previous weeks. I couldn't reach the city.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, because I'm sure, I'm sure with all the with 20,000 fucking people in that building. It was a lot. Like it's still pretty it gets pretty warm and in rooms.

SPEAKER_05

I'm assuming they had the AC pretty well, but I walked from my hotel, which is roughly a 10-minute walk. I walked from my hotel to the convention center, and that alone took a lot of energy out of me. So it wasn't necessarily the con space itself. Um I I just wasn't in there nearly enough because going out was a lot and ended up raining at certain points. So I just I wasn't in the convention center nearly enough because of how bad the weather was getting there. Still had a great time, still had a full con experience in my mind. But yeah, I didn't go to any panels. I wanted to go to some of the content creation ones, but I didn't really look at the panels because I was more keen on meeting up with friends and um, you know, going to dealer's den, um, stuff like that. Stuff like that. So um, yeah, no panels, unfortunately. But Aeon mentioned that he went to the volley meet and greet, the bird meet and greet, sim racing one on one.

SPEAKER_04

I saw that on I saw that on Twitter. That's awesome.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, there was a lot of good panels this year. I just did not get to give I didn't give myself the opportunity to go because it was mostly because of my exhaustion.

SPEAKER_04

They had a sim racing 101. With was it did they have like the cool like uh like the cool setups that you could fuck with? There's a place called called Andretti's nearby, um local to me. And that sounds fun. It's made after or it's it's named after some like F1 or uh indie car driver. I don't really know what he drove, but um Mario Andretti. And they had like race sims and you can do go-karting, and they have an arcade, it's pretty cool. You can get drunk and go drive go-karts. Uh just go and have fun.

SPEAKER_05

He said he mainly just got an introduction and it was for more for the newbies and how to get connected with other sim racing furs. That's still cool. I mean, we love niches and niches like furry fandom, and then there being a niche in the furry fandom. It's just great to get connected with people that you're familiar with and want to get familiar with. That's awesome. Can't never go wrong with that. Yeah, I wish I attended more. That is a guilt of mine. Like, I do wish I went to more of them, but um, I was just so tired, man. The work week the work week prior to that just beat me up. I could not recover from that work exhaustion getting into the con. A little bit of depression was that too, but we don't talk about that. But um, yeah, I just I was very tired. So no, I unfortunately did not go to any panels. Um, I didn't go to the intro or outro of the convention itself. I didn't go to I didn't even go to the dancing, um, the the the first two dance comp. Meg and I planned to go, but we just ended and ended up didn't because her and I just wanted to sleep in. We were just tired. Yeah. Uh is it early? It was on it was like early on a Sunday. Yeah, it was like 10 or 11 o'clock on a Sunday. Uh okay. And that's when you're already getting kind of tired because ending the con experience kind of order. It's the last day, main day. Yeah. Did you attend like the raves or anything? We went to go check out the rave. It's not. I enjoy the rave, but I'm awkward. And no, not because that video. I enjoy the raves. We went to go check it out, but none of us stuck around because I really like the waterfront. And there's also fireworks, so I want to go see that. Um, during the time we went to go see the rave. When I go to the raves, like I enjoy the music, but I don't know what to do because I don't dance, I don't move, I don't do much. So I just kind of stand there listening to the music, and after 20 minutes, I'm kind of like, meh. The music was really good. The raves are really cool. They kind of reset it up. So instead of um instead of when you walk into the rave area, everything just being like horizontally laid out, where right when you walk through the front doors, that's where the stage is, that's where the main like DJ is, and everything's kind of spread out left to right. Where instead this time it was instead of like looking at the stage from left to right, when you walk through the main doors, you look directly to the left, that's where the DJ is, and it comes back further. So they just change the arrangement. They change it from like the instead of the long side of this rectangle, they change it to the short side of the rectangle, being you know, a lot longer. Went further back. Yeah, which didn't make much of a difference. There wasn't a lot of people there, but it made enough of a difference where I think people who are maybe struggle with loud noises can sit further back but still enjoy the music itself, which I think is nice. I think it was a good change. That's cool. The AC was great in there. I will say the the air conditioning was fantastic in there. So I did go just on my thing because I don't really know what to do when I'm there. And when I do try to do something there, I re make a regrettable video that I never want aired.

SPEAKER_04

So, you know, I enjoyed it while I was there. I'm gonna post it one day. It'll get posted.

SPEAKER_05

You will not. We got we have to hit a goal. We have to hit a goal. Okay. Say a goal. I don't know. Um I don't know. 50 50 ratings on Spotify. Once we hit 50 ratings on Spotify, hopefully.

SPEAKER_04

How many ratings do we have on Spotify now? 14. It's a long ways away.

SPEAKER_05

So if you guys want to rate the podcast on Spotify, that's where we see most of our, that's where at least we see most of our followers.

SPEAKER_04

Please rate the fucking podcast because I want to post this goddamn video.

SPEAKER_05

There are 50 ratings, five beautiful five stars reviews. Preferably, we will post a Texas flop. I don't know what else to call it.

SPEAKER_04

Texas flop, bro.

SPEAKER_02

That's what we're gonna call it. The Texas fucking flop Adobe's signature Texas flop.

SPEAKER_05

But 50 ratings is a high goal for a good old Spotify.

SPEAKER_04

So thank you, Aeon. Spread the fucking word, dude.

SPEAKER_05

Leave us a rating on there. Just go it, just put in a star review. That's all it is. Not hard work. So if you guys want to do that, and maybe when we do that, I'll have a whole episode related to cringe. We can do that. Put in five stars. Five stars would be cool. We like five stars. Rate yourself.

SPEAKER_04

Do me a favor and rate yourself in the ratings. Tell us what you rate yourself and what you like about yourself. And rate yourself five stars because you deserve it.

SPEAKER_05

That'd be fun. Episode topic, having everyone rate themselves and kind of like review like how they rate themselves as if they were reviewing themselves.

SPEAKER_03

You said rate?

SPEAKER_05

Nope, I said nothing.

SPEAKER_03

You said rate. Rate. R-A-T-T.

SPEAKER_05

With a T, with a T, with a T with a T with the T. I said it with a T. I said it with a T, I said it with a T. Yes.

SPEAKER_03

Anyway. I'm just making sure. I know. Because you said it really fast. I talk fast, man.

SPEAKER_05

My brain runs a million miles an hour.

SPEAKER_04

Dude! So side tangent. I've been on the BMX a little bit lately. Bike bit time. Yeah, bike bit time. This is bike bit. I've been on the BMX a lot lately at the dirt park. Um, I've been posting some pictures at the on the Discord. So so a new uh bike park opened up where I'm gonna be moving to, and me and my friends went and hopped the fence and we're riding it a little bit, and I had a lot of fun, and I cannot wait for that place to fucking open. Trying to get my buddy into bikes again, trying to get him into getting one so he can come with me. I'm gonna teach my roommates, or at least one of my roommates, um, how to mountain bike.

SPEAKER_05

I'm looking at friends into the hobbies, man. Makes it more fun when you got like groups to do him with. I still want to get back to hand disc golfing, but I still got my shoulder injury. Oh, damn.

SPEAKER_04

And I'm gonna let her take over, take over my hardtail. And I bought a new bike.

SPEAKER_05

I don't know if I told Did I tell you I bought a new bike? I saw the new bike. Is that when you talked about your little mini bike? Is it that one you were talking about? I've you mentioned it last episode, so I'm not sure. Did you see the blue one? I don't know if I have. You should do like a sick photo shoot with it with your fursuit.

SPEAKER_04

No, oh, I should. But wait, let me send you, let me send a picture of the bike in the chat real quick.

SPEAKER_05

Adobe, if Ryu sends the picture in the chat, post the shit on YouTube. Any of our YouTube listeners, look at that beautiful picture. It's popping up real. Now look at that beautiful photo. Wow, it's popping up on YouTube. Are you on YouTube listening to this? You can watch it, probably. Wow. Oh hi, honey. Why you're in my bed. Why are you in the audience? I love you.

SPEAKER_03

I love you. Are you posting that shit or what? I posted it, bitch. Where?

SPEAKER_05

Oh, bike chat. I was looking for I was looking for it in the Where else do you think I would fucking post it?

SPEAKER_00

Ask me the next question. I thought you were talking about the recording studio chat.

SPEAKER_04

No. It's in the Viking.

SPEAKER_05

Come on, keep giggling.

SPEAKER_04

Anyways. That's enough for the bike bit.

SPEAKER_05

He just locked the fucking.

SPEAKER_04

Yes. Tell me how was the nightlife?

SPEAKER_05

Oh my god. The highlight of my night was Saturday, not night. One of the highlights I had during my con. I really enjoyed spending with Meg, my girlfriend, Twinkles. Twinkles. Um really enjoyed spending it with her, but um my one of my other highlights was the Saturday night that I got spent at the waterfront because a lot of my friends ditched me, and then I was like, man, what do I do? I'll I'll give you a little rundown. This this is the nightlife scene for me, because this is the only experience I really had at the nightlife uh portion. Not a lot of lewd stuff. Okay, ask me lewd questions later because I need to expound on that for Anthrocon specifically, but I'm gonna get back to that later because I don't want to go into too many side tangents.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_05

Um, but in terms of like just enjoying the waterfront being that like nightly outside the convention uh area where a lot of people smoke and party and hang out post-con, or you know, post like con hours, I should say, convention center itself hours. Uh it was great. I had a really, really good time. So my my little story or like my experience was I was meeting up with a few friends, um, some of my roommates and everything, and some of them wasn't their vibe, so they dipped, and then the friends that said they would stay also dipped. So I was just kind of in a corner chatting with like one of my other buddies, Gemini, actually. Chat with him a little bit. Hung out. He's doing well, he's doing well. We caught up a little bit. I saw a couple other friends, some small conversations. I was just kind of there, existing, had a couple beers in my hand, and I was like, I don't know what to do. My buddy, shout out to Nummy. I haven't mentioned here on the podcast before, he's one of my like local buddies. I'm getting closer with Nummy, bless his heart, saved my night. It was like, I don't know, maybe 10-ish o'clock. He comes over drunk to me next to a railing. I'm standing near. He's like, Ohby, we catch up for a minute. And he's like, What are you doing? And I'm like, Ah, I'm just chilling, you know, I'm waiting for friends. I have this group chat. I text some people, and that's just how cons go, right? Like, I can't expect anyone to either stay on schedules or like expect to see everyone. Totally understood it. But I was hopeful that like some of the friends I texted in a group chat would come down to the waterfront. Some of them said they might, so I was kind of waiting on that.

SPEAKER_00

He's like, Why are you waiting on other people? You should do what you want to do. Come enjoy your night.

SPEAKER_05

And what he did, bless his heart, is he let me is he literally like influenced me to come along and go hang out with him. I was on one part of the waterfront, he took me into the middle where some of his friends were, and we just started like drinking and hanging out. Hell yeah. It was a really, really, really, really good time, and I really, really, really enjoyed it because I just got to meet a lot of people, and it was just waterfront vibes, man. Like you're smoking a little bit, drinking a little bit, hang out with a bunch of really cool people. It was a really, really good time. That's so fucking cool. This is also a really good time as well to right now be on the YouTube. Again, I know this is apparently a YouTube video. I'm gonna post a video. I might post it here. If not, I will post it now in the memes section. Uh, there's a little funny video of me shotgunning a Red Bull. Adobe. I need to see this. Adobe, you can play the audio obviously for normal, but for YouTube. Adobe, put the video in now because I'm gonna give you more work. This is my my straight moment coming out. Straight moment shotgunning a Red Bull. Not even I've shotgun a Red Bull. I had fun, got meet a lot of new cool people, just it was just good party vibes, nothing too obnoxious. Well, in certain parts or were, but like I I will also watch someone just yak into the river, just there's and it just sat there, it didn't flow down the river, just kind of sat in this watery corn. Oh, it's really gross. It's a really good time though. And I he saved my night. We him and I caught up a little bit. Again, I met his friends, I got to meet up somewhere with my other friends, and we just partied to like 1:30, I think is when I dipped roughly, and I got back and just really I really really enjoyed myself. So the night life, back to your question, the nightlife was great in terms of the waterfront and enjoying like the nightly party vibes. Had a really, really good, like, really good time. That was one of my highlights. Absolutely. That's awesome. I really enjoyed that.

SPEAKER_04

It's fantastic. Next question. Um lewd, lewd stuff. Tell me about the lewd stuff.

SPEAKER_05

This Anthrocon's lewd stuff was a change of pace. I'm gonna I'm gonna mention my experience. I'm not gonna mention mention this with any judgment towards anyone who maybe experienced it or did their own thing. It was just kind of jarring. Anthrocon has gotten a little more lewd in terms of accepting what is allowed at the convention center. Number one, the NSFW section deal was then was much larger. That was one surprise. I saw a section in there I really, really, really, really, really did not like. And if you saw it, you knew probably exactly what I'm talking about. I got you. Apart from that, though, towards the night of the convention, nighttime, I'm gonna say anytime past like 6, 7 p.m. roughly. Um there was a lot more suggestive clothing. We watched two ladies walk past us in the convention center that were just bra and like I don't say panties, but like bikini bottom kind of kind of where bikini bottom. Saw a lot of people in like hyper sexualized pop attire. Not that all pop attire is necessarily lewd, but like people that were extremely suggestive, just latex and stuff, which latex isn't like super uncommon to see. It was just a lot more forward expressively. But the one thing that shocked me, not saying this is judgment, just my experience, is my group and I, Meg was with me and a couple of our friends, four balls there too. We were chilling down near the rave area, actually before we went into the rave, and we heard some announcements going on on the upper floor above us. It was up a set of escalators towards the very top of the convention, one of the panel areas. And there was a there was a sign outside that said 18 plus, and you know, I didn't think about Java, I'm just sure, you know, just you know, maybe 18 plus chats is where my mind was. There was a pup play event. I was like, okay, sick. This is what shocked me the most was I hear the announcement of like, hey guys, but they're lining up and everyone's in their pop attire and whatever. They're like, Yeah, we have toys for you guys, and just make sure you guys are using them accordingly. And they were saying it in a way that's not like tennis balls. I'm gonna hope they were. I'm assuming it's not anything super, super lewd, but just how it was worded me raising eyebrow. So I started hyper listening. And they're like, Yeah, and just remember, guys, follow the the wristbands. If I know exactly what that means. Do you know what the wristbands mean? Oh. Stop light. I know exactly what the wristbands mean. Red, yellow, green. Yep. Don't touch, ask to touch, green is okay. Yep. I don't know what all happened up there, but I was really, really, really, really, really shocked that a lewd event like that took place at Anthrocon. I'm not judging, I just it was a little bit of a shock to me because I'm not Anthrocon is very SFW. I personally, that's what that's the aspect I like about it because I don't mind going to other cons and being around the NSFW space. It doesn't bother me that much. Uh I'm I'm okay with being around people like that, uh, especially, but Anthrocon was a little bit of a shock. And there was extremely suggestive clothing earlier in the day than what you're used to, maybe maybe compared to what you see at the waterfront only. Right. Some of those waterfront wares that you're used to, we saw in the convention center. We're like, whoa. Um, but no judgment, just kind of a shock. So that the nightlife in that regard was interesting. I don't know all that happened, I don't know all that took place, I don't know what kind of cleanups were had. I don't know. I'm not gonna hyper, I'm not gonna assume or like hyperanalyze it, but that that's what I saw, and I was a little shocked. I think you would have been like, whoa, Anthrocon, what you doing? So, you know, tweets around. If the con was a success, which it definitely was, you know, kudos to them. They they made July 1st National Anthrocon Day for Pittsburgh. Really? Well, I think for the state, I don't think it's necessarily for like national, I should say national, but it's now now Anthrocon July 1st is the Anthrocon holiday. It's known officially as Anthrocon's Anthrocon Day for July 1st. That's pretty cool. The mayor the mayor announced it. That's pretty cool. I didn't know we had a mayor. Well, yeah, you have a fucking mayor.

SPEAKER_02

I probably has a mayor.

SPEAKER_05

Mayor He runs a city. Well Okay, I know we have a mayor, but I know nothing about it. Just don't worry about it. I'm not worried about it. That's why I didn't know.

SPEAKER_04

Don't worry about it. I'm not. I'm not even gonna bother explaining to you. I don't think you deserve to know. I don't want to know. Next question! Oh yes, how was the dealers' inexperience? How much did you spend? What's your favorite thing that you bought? Um how many things did you buy? Um did you buy any did you buy mostly things for your girlfriend? Or did you buy things for yourself? Or did you buy both you and your girlfriend?

SPEAKER_05

That was fucking awesome.

SPEAKER_04

Did you buy anything for me?

SPEAKER_05

The dealers. I will answer all these questions. Let me throw you. Fuck with you, I'll fuck with you. I love you so much. Um the dealer's den experience was fucking awesome. It was I feel like it was even bigger this year. The vendors they were fucking great. They had new faces I haven't seen before. They had some like classic ones. Um you you know my spending habits at Dealer's Den. How much do you think I spent?

SPEAKER_04

Um $800.

SPEAKER_05

Oh no, lower.

SPEAKER_04

Oh $500.

SPEAKER_05

Higher.

SPEAKER_04

Higher?

SPEAKER_05

Higher.

SPEAKER_04

Seven. Six hundred. Six. It was between six and seven. See?

SPEAKER_05

I did I I spent right around six hundred dollars at the dealer's den, and that is the best six hundred dollars I've ever spent. Um, I prioritized most of my spending at the hyena agenda, so I get new tank tops. One for the con because it was really fucking hot. And because I wanted tank top.

SPEAKER_04

So I got like dude, every time I pass that fucking, every time I pass hyena agenda, I'm so tempted to buy one of their shirts, but I'm like, am I really gonna wear that? So worth it. I'm wearing one, I'm literally wearing one right now. The tank tops, the tank I'd never seen the tank tops before though. Because the the uh the um the tank top that you had on that in that one picture uh that Aeon took of y'all. I like that one.

SPEAKER_05

That was also, yep, that was also high in agenda, the one that you saw.

SPEAKER_04

I might have to steal that from you.

SPEAKER_05

But yeah, no, I bought like four tank tops. I bought a mystery bag from them as well, which was two regular shirts and one button down, all were great. Um, I love their clothes, and this is for sign of the properly bought hiding agenda clothes, and we'll I will spend money there again. Fucking great.

SPEAKER_04

Fuck yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Uh again, a lot of the vendors were great. I bought a birthday present. It was a late one. We were we planned to do this, but Lucian bought one. One of our friends, Lucian, bought a present for me. I bought one for him. I don't think Megan and I spent much money on each other. I think we more prioritized it on our own accord. But we did shop together, which is really fun. She bought me a little bracelet, which is really nice. No, sis. And I did end up, so one of my friends that I bought, I bought them a little housewarming gift, um, which is really cool. So a certain salamander will end up seeing that at some point too. So I don't, you know, I don't spoil who that friend is, but there is a friend that I have. He's a salamander. I do a podcast with him actually.

SPEAKER_04

Another another salamander?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, yeah, I do podcast with him. So he he has a present that will be coming either via mail if I decide to mail it or just give it to him in person. Little houseworm gift. So oh my goodness. Um but yeah, I I I bought some other d-dads. I don't remember off the top of my head everything I bought. Honey, what else did I buy? Oh, we bought like $20 like satchels or something. Fucking great purchase. They were so so good. I bought a head fan as well. What else did I buy? Oh, I bought um uh a plush cigarette for my fursuit.

SPEAKER_03

Fuck yeah.

SPEAKER_05

What else did I buy? A necklace? You're joking yourself. How big is the cigarette? It it looks good on a fursuit. So it's big, but it's good for a fursuit size. I got you. I got you. I bought a collar. Oh, I did buy a collar, like a fursuit, like a like an aesthetic fursuit collar.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, nice. Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

What else did I buy? I bought a mouse. Oh, it's right in front of me. I bought an otter mouse pad. It's a big, nice one. I thought you were about to say I bought a mountain bike. I was about to be so excited. I mean, if we live, if we live near each other, maybe I would mountain bike. That sounds really fun. That is it's pretty cool. But I don't live near you. Maybe one day I could maybe I could take you. Maybe one day, maybe one day I'll live near you. Yeah, maybe one day. Fingers crossed, intertwined together. Fingers. Uh anyway. Together forever. Together forever. Anthricon was Dealer's Den was great. I really, really enjoyed it. Great selection. I had the money spent, and it was a really, really good time. Love Dealer's Den. Love it, loved it, loved it, loved it. No complaints for me. Glad to hear it.

SPEAKER_04

Uh I always have a blast in a dealer's den. It's so fun.

SPEAKER_05

It was a lot. It took us like two-ish hours to get through.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, but it's so worth it. But getting cool, did you get any cool art? Like commissioned or um.

SPEAKER_05

I prioritized most of my spending. I was gonna look at the artist alley, but I was kind of pooped. After looking at the dealers, I was kind of pooped and um it's just kind of tired. I didn't feel like we're looking through and maybe considering commissions. Um, a lot of my money was spent at Pizza Parma and the beer store. So between Pizza Park. Did you get the dog bowl again? Huh? I I didn't because I have no use for it, but they were selling it a good dog bowl. It was like a metal one this time. But I actually took Aeon to Pizza Parma for his first time, and he gave it, what was it, a nine out of ten review? What was it? 8.5 out of Aeon gave it a really, really good review. Pizza Parma was so good. 9.5 out of 10.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, pizza Parma's fucking pretty good. Pizza Parma's pretty good.

SPEAKER_05

I went there six times.

SPEAKER_04

That's crazy.

SPEAKER_05

I wish I would have gone more. I wish I would have gone more.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yeah, W is with us too! I didn't know it was your first time.

SPEAKER_05

I I think W, yeah, I did meet W by the way. Ws who's in the audience? Uh, I got to meet him for the first time and Aeon at um I'm I'm their full name is Weffler. Nope, it's W. Um, but I met them at um Anthercon. First time was awesome. But W, I forgot that was your first time too. Yeah, it was great. That was a really good time. And uh W, you enjoyed it, right? I don't know if I heard your like review of it. What W, what was your review of Pizza Parma? This is super important. I need to know. That was good. He laughed. I need a rating.

SPEAKER_04

That's not a review, that's not a number, that's an expression.

SPEAKER_05

He's typing. He's typing.

SPEAKER_04

He's typing.

SPEAKER_05

He's typing.

SPEAKER_04

He's typing. He's typing in a long, long paragraph about how he loves Pizza Parma. I love Pizza Parma. Pizza Grest, it's the greatest.

SPEAKER_05

It's the grass. Isaac, uh you just joined in. He took a blinker before I asked me these questions. It's part of the topic. I don't know if he called it.

SPEAKER_04

I took another blinker just now. I've taken three blinkers.

SPEAKER_05

That's crazy. Your tolerance is wild.

SPEAKER_04

This is a long review. It was amazing. I love the energy there. They all cheered when I ordered a cookies and cream cheesecake, which was tasty, and the pizza was great too. Nice and simple and yummy. No fork for the cake though, 12 out of 10. We like those numbers. We like those numbers.

SPEAKER_05

Hell fucking yeah. Yeah, no fork for the cake is devilish. Yeah, that's devilish.

SPEAKER_04

Anyway. That's why you always carry your trusty pocket fork.

SPEAKER_05

Pocket fork. Oh, I want like a switchblade, but it'd be a fork.

SPEAKER_04

I would just get I would just get a a spoon a s a fapoon.

SPEAKER_05

A fapoon? You mean a fork?

SPEAKER_04

A fapoon.

SPEAKER_05

Fapoon. Gotcha.

SPEAKER_04

It's called a fapoon.

SPEAKER_05

Yep, you're right.

SPEAKER_04

Take it, take it or leave it. I'm taking it.

SPEAKER_05

I take it.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, you take it.

SPEAKER_05

Next question.

SPEAKER_04

I think I'm out of questions. I'm just trying to bullshit with you, you know. Bullshit with me. Besides Pizza Parma, what was your favorite experience with friends?

SPEAKER_05

Waterfront was good, but when it comes to friends, uh what so well speaking along lines of food, Aeon, myself, Meg, and my buddy um what's his name? He's a Nardo. You don't know him. Yeti. Us four, we we were trying to figure out a place to go to eat, and we went to this like kind of bougie, but it was good one time. They called it a cafe. It was not a cafe. This shit was like it was a nice sit-down restaurant. Small, but nice. Like 30 something 30-something dollars for a plate of food. But that was a really good experience. So that was a nice memory I have as well. Small, it was not busy at all. So the AC in there was great. The mood lighting was great. Shit was expensive. That is pretty um. Yeah, he said Aeon said um uh best food snipe I've ever made in my life. Yeah, he was the one that chose the the restaurant. We're like, let's go to something. So we did that. Hell yeah. We'll we also went to another place that was like modern southern food. Uh, we went with a few of our friends, it was all of our roommates we went with, and uh Meg was with us too. We went to a place called the Eagle. Again, modernized Southern food, I guess best way I can word it, but very, very good. We got a lot of the menu. I've heard of the Eagle before. Very, very, very, very good. Very salty, but very good. Um got I got some chicken there. I didn't get the macaroni.

SPEAKER_00

I got the what else I get a chicken beetle. No chicken beetle tea, I think I got. I don't remember.

SPEAKER_05

Um but the the food experiences were there were great because I enjoy the let's go take a social break from the con and go do this. Uh another good experience I had with friends was we invited just a handful of people over to our room and just to hang out and bullshit for a little while. And I got to go see um Aeon and uh Taz in their room for a little while. Short, but that was also really nice and um short-lived, but very, very enjoyable. Um, I I enjoyed a lot of the little stuff with the friends because again, between the heat, me being tired from work, and um it's just being exhausted, those little things were actually really significant for this con specifically. I almost feel like I didn't do enough because I was just really, really tired. And you know, I everyone gets tired of cons. I feel like I was more tired than I ever was at this con specifically. Uh and that's not like me. I like to up and go and go do stuff. And I wasn't like that this year. So the little stuff with friends was definitely a highlight, and uh the food and small get togethers was um probably my more enjoyable moments, I think. I definitely want to start going to some small cons though. I want to start going to more cons so I can get a job that's actually reasonable with my time too. That'd be great. Yeah, yeah, and I wish you were there too. You were there in my mind all the time. I miss I missed you. I thought about you uh uh that weekend. So I know you gave me a call. I did give you a call.

SPEAKER_04

Amelda is looking at me, flicking the lights on and off on our three-bulb lamp, staring at me, telling me that she's ready for dinner. So I think I'm out of questions um for tonight's episode.
