Let me know when you're recording. You're the one doing the uh I'm already recording.
SPEAKER_04I'm already recording, my boy. My boy. Welcome back to the What Are We In for podcast, everybody. My name is Ryu. This is uh our podcast where we talk about anything related to the furry fandom. My buddy Adobe and I take turns each episode talking about stuff in the furry fandom, or not enough about stuff in the furry fandom. We do that. Speaking of the little the little guy, Adobe.
SPEAKER_07Little. Me, little? I don't know about that, man. I don't know, man. I don't know. Yeah. How are you doing? I'm reversing the I'm reversing the initial question. Reversed.
SPEAKER_04Whoa.
SPEAKER_07Here you're switched.
SPEAKER_04Okay. I'm I'm doing great. Um I've actually been really bored the past few weeks.
SPEAKER_08I wish I had the opportunity to be bored. I want to be bored.
SPEAKER_04I've been unemployed. It's too hot to go outside. There's a heat wave. I'm dying. I'm just growing older and older by the second.
SPEAKER_07You have gotten wrinkly last time I FaceTimed you.
SPEAKER_04Wrinkly?
SPEAKER_07I'm kidding. Like a raisin?
SPEAKER_05You're just so tall.
SPEAKER_07And slender.
SPEAKER_04And slender? Oh.
SPEAKER_07I mean, I guess a few episodes ago we did talk about you having a raisin brain. So I mean, I guess wrinkles is now part of the uh adjectives.
SPEAKER_04Rio, what's a verb? You can't call your mom. Noun.
SPEAKER_07Adjectives.
SPEAKER_04Your mom.
SPEAKER_07Adverb. Your mom. Your mom. Hi, moms. Hi, mom. Hi to all the moms. What else have you been up to? I know you live in the bored chud life, but that's that's my new favorite word, by the way.
SPEAKER_04No, I feel like a fucking chud, dude. I'm just sitting on my ass and just wasting time. Literally, I'm I'd like today. I just rotted on the couch and just kind of sat there and just thought about life. And I didn't really get far into my my thinking, but I mean, you know. Are you having a quarter life crisis? No, I've already been through that, apparently, because I'm 26 now.
SPEAKER_05So that's a quarter still. Well, I've had a lot of crises.
SPEAKER_04I've had a lot of crises uh within the past year since I've been 25, now 26. Um So I feel like I've had a a few a few crises.
SPEAKER_07I don't know why I thought you were 27. I I don't know why. I know we've talked about this many times.
SPEAKER_04I'm about to be. I'm about to be. When's your birthday? October 2nd.
SPEAKER_07I mean, about to be as in like a month and a half away, but yeah, I guess so.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_07You're getting there. You're getting there.
SPEAKER_05Almost almost a gray muzzle.
SPEAKER_04Slowly but surely. Meg Meg says, Adobe starves me. Shout out Meg. Shout out Adobe.
SPEAKER_08Meg, do I starve you?
unknownI guess.
SPEAKER_08What do I starve you from? Everything. Like what?
unknownFood.
SPEAKER_08Food? I thought she said boobs. I was like, yeah, I guess I don't have boobs, honey. I can't help you there.
SPEAKER_04Wait, no, I have food. What do you want for food? Have you ever gotten Have you ever gotten your booby privileges taken away?
SPEAKER_07I never had them. You can get those. How do I get those?
SPEAKER_05You gotta apply. You gotta ask.
SPEAKER_08Honey, can I apply for booby privileges? Ruby privileges?
unknownWhy do you have to apply?
SPEAKER_07Because Ryu told me. And everything he says is gospel truth. Hail Jesus. Oh, I have juice in the fridge.
SPEAKER_04What's in the fridge?
SPEAKER_05I have juice.
SPEAKER_04Juice? What kind of juice?
SPEAKER_07Uh Jumex. It's one of my new favorite drinks. Uh it's a Jumex juice. It's strawberry banana nectar.
SPEAKER_03Ooh, shout out to all the strawberries and bananas listening.
SPEAKER_04Shout out to them. Yeah.
SPEAKER_07All them, all of them bananas listening. How's how's the job hunt?
SPEAKER_05Oh, the job hunt?
SPEAKER_04Oh, dude. I've applied so far, I've applied the four positions at Home Depot and they haven't gotten me back. They haven't messaged me back. Um, I've applied to a few other places. Still haven't heard back.
SPEAKER_07Man, you are a chut. I got two interviews coming up. I'm kidding. What'd you say? I didn't hear you. What'd you say? Nothing. Nothing. No, what'd you say, bitch? Repeat it, bitch. I can't. It's it's it's it's it's not my vocabulary anymore.
SPEAKER_04Okay. I see.
SPEAKER_07I see how this is. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Adobe, what are we in for?
SPEAKER_08Oh, I'm so happy. You're curious on how I'm doing too. You know? Oh, wow. Still having to do it.
SPEAKER_04No, you didn't. No, you didn't. Yes, I did. I said uh speaking of him, Adobe, how are you? No, you didn't say that.
SPEAKER_07You didn't say that because I said it to you first. Play it back. I don't think Discord played it then because I never heard that actually.
SPEAKER_04You never heard me say that?
SPEAKER_07Guys, did he say that? Did he say it? I think I it it didn't come through on his Discord. I know it didn't, because I was waiting for you to ask me. I was on the computer.
SPEAKER_04And then you were like, and then you were like, no, uh were you how are you? So does that negate the question?
SPEAKER_07Does that just negate the question entirely? I asked you how you were. And then I turned it on you.
SPEAKER_08You know what we are in for today? Because you don't want to hear about anything that I have going on.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, fuck you. Um, we are in fur. Uh, more of a casual episode today. I wanted to talk about something that you and I are very familiar with, and it definitely has a furry spin on it. And no, it's not anything intricate. I haven't had time. Yep, we're talking about slimy feet. Hi, everyone. Today's the foot episode. Uh, no, we are talking about just the general concept of moving. You have had a lot of experience with moving. I've had a lot of experience with moving as well, especially with furry roommates and in two different areas of where furries reside. So I just kind of want to go over just our personal experiences. We'll keep it short, we'll keep it a casual episode today. We're gonna keep it short because I don't have a lot of time to edit. So, you know, we're not gonna record for like an hour or anything, or just maybe like 40 minutes, maybe. Um, but yeah, I just want to talk about moving. We we talk about it all the time, and I think just kind of like going over our experiences, um, general conversation about that stuff, but also just talking about the furry communities that we've experienced. Um, maybe going a little more in depth about that kind of stuff too would be kind of neat. But uh yeah. Initial thoughts before we dive into some of my bullet points. Um, moving sucks.
SPEAKER_04Um TLDR or TLDL, too lazy didn't listen. Uh moving sucks, asshole. Get moving. Oh, is that what TLDR means? Yes, too lazy didn't read.
SPEAKER_07Oh I'm having an Adobe's Afterthoughts moment. I had no idea what TLDR looked uh was. Okay. Okay. Anyway, go ahead.
SPEAKER_04Mr. Sherbert said this is the toe tickling episode. No, that'll be in person in November.
SPEAKER_07That will not happen. Yes, it will. If we get a donation of a thousand dollars. You have no choice. I I very much so have a choice.
SPEAKER_05It's code can you don't have a choice. I don't. I don't care. Why do I not have a choice? Look at that dog's face. What? Look at that sad dog. Why does it look so sad? Where's the sad face?
SPEAKER_07I can't look at the chat because my computer's gonna freeze.
SPEAKER_04I know. It's on my shitty laptop. Is this a picture of a sad looking of a old sad looking dog?
SPEAKER_07So me over the past like couple weeks that you had no interest of asking. Yeah, sure.
SPEAKER_08What? Oh, that does look like me over the past couple weeks. God damn. That is that's so cute though.
SPEAKER_07I know. I have noise canceling headphones on, I can't hear myself because I don't have the audio program that I usually would have on this laptop because it's on my desktop that's failing and I don't know what to do about it.
SPEAKER_05I know. Anyway, moving. Tell her tell her that she's being loud. Oh he just called you loud.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_08Fair point. Fair point.
SPEAKER_07So yeah, I'd let's just talk about general moving stuff and we'll kind of dive into some of the small stuff in there. But like just your general experience. You said moving sucks, why does it suck?
SPEAKER_04Uh I just I just uh God, I hate packing. I hate the I hate the act of packing boxes with shit and like clearing out stuff and putting it in boxes. I'm not very good at that, apparently. Amelda says I'm bad at packing boxes, and she likes to like Tetris things into the box to fit as much shit as humanly possible into this box. And it's just uh it stresses me out. Like packing up boxes. Nope, can't do it. Can't do it, it's not my forte.
SPEAKER_07There's a part of me that does enjoy packing boxes, but at some point in the moving process, I'm like, nope, I'm I'm over it. I'm done.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Like, for example, when we were moving from um our old apartment to the new house, like we had all these boxes prepped and ready, full of like books and heavy shit, and just boxes that are filled with the brim and they eventually get heavy. Uh we we had those all like pushed aside, like in our dining room next to our bookshelves, um and like just tucked away in the corner. But there was still like a bunch of boxes, and those boxes were specifically for the movers, and like the ones that we weren't gonna bring ourselves, like we we packed away like more fragile stuff and carried them in our personal vehicles, but uh no, other than that, like we we let the movers pretty much handle everything.
SPEAKER_07I mean, that's fair. I've never really moved a whole house where you, on the other hand, have or like a full apartment. I've always only ever moved my own belongings and like a room plus like maybe another room's worth of stuff. I've never had that much.
SPEAKER_04Adobe is sitting crisscross applesauce on his gaming show right now.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, because my true? Yeah, because my laptop's on a fridge right now. So I don't have room to fit on my actual desk.
SPEAKER_04You poor thing.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. I mean, I'm I'm comfy to be honest. I'm comfy.
SPEAKER_04Sorry, I was listening. I just had I just had to read that before. No, you're fine.
SPEAKER_08I can't read chat, so it's yeah.
SPEAKER_04Mr. Sherbert says, tell us what's in the fridge.
SPEAKER_05My my juice. Just just juice. I mean, nothing.
SPEAKER_07My girlfriend's propels in there.
SPEAKER_04Meg says nothing, he's poor. That's your girlfriend. Just called you poor.
SPEAKER_08Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_04Are you gonna take that?
SPEAKER_08Yeah, it's true.
SPEAKER_07I can't afford to fix my PC. So, you know.
SPEAKER_05Bless your heart. Bless your little heart.
SPEAKER_07I know we've kind of talked about it a little bit, but where did you move to and where are you like officially from? You don't have to give like exact areas, but like what like regions did you move from and into?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, so I was born and raised in southwest Louisiana. I lived there until I was about 23. And I moved out to Dallas with Omelda. And we've kind of moved around the DFW area, like north of Metroplex. So we were living in Dallas initially, and then we we were actually lived in two apartments in Dallas. Uh like if you were looking at the map, like the street kind of made like a circle and it went to like it can't consider another street, but it made like a loop at the same time. Sure. Um we lived in that like one apartment, our first apartment was in that little block, and then right across the street, pretty much, uh was our new apartment. So we were in Dallas for two apartments, then we moved to a little area called Louisville. It's like 30 minutes north of uh Dallas. And at the time we didn't have we kinda didn't prep everything correctly whenever we were moving out from Dallas. And we kind of learned from that and learned like, hey, we should pack this stuff next time, or we should do this instead for next time. And so we kind of remembered in the back of our minds, like, hey, we'll keep keep that in mind, and uh trying to be as efficient as possible with packing and stuff.
SPEAKER_07I feel like a universal experience of moving is that there's always one box that just never gets unpacked, and then it's always like miscellaneous stuff, which then you feel like you are missing it all of a sudden, like six months later, you still have those boxes. How the fuck have I missed this? Where did it go?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, we still have those boxes. Yeah. There's still some just random ones that are straggling around, but yeah, it's just one of those things you're kind of like burnt out.
SPEAKER_07Once you once you're moved in, the majority of the like the priority boxes are unpacked. It's like, yeah, I don't want to touch them ever again. And then they just kind of get left there. Now, did you um I I don't even know the answer to this question, but back when you were in Louisiana, um, and then I guess any other moving situation, did you interact with any local furs? Like, what was your experience with like the local community in I you know I I think in Louisiana? The recent yeah, yeah. I think the recent episodes you've talked about your local community now. But yeah, like did you interact with any locals or furs or anything like that from your first move to now or anything like that?
SPEAKER_04So in Louisiana before I moved, I actually met this one guy on Bark. We kind of like made friends with each other and we're just talking about like cars or whatever.
SPEAKER_07And y'all fucked.
SPEAKER_04We were talking about motorcycles, it was motorcycles. And one day I showed up, like he was like, Hey, yeah, pull up to where I work. He worked at this little hotel, like off this main street. Okay, yeah. And and I pulled up and he was on his brakes smoking a cigarette, and we were just kind of chit-chatting. He was checking out the bike, he had his bike there, and we were just talking about bikes.
SPEAKER_07That's pretty chill. Was that pretty much your only like fur experience though back in Louisiana?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, pretty much. Um, there just wasn't that many I know of. Oh, yeah. Kokery's in here in the chat now. Stop Kokery. We met on Bark Review. Yes, we did. We did meet on Bark. Speaking of, you were asking, how has it changed? How's my local furry scene like changed? Like as I moved, like uh, for example, I met Kokery off on Bark uh since I moved to Texas, and I've met quite a few other people on Bark as well since I moved to the DFW area. And so far, good looks, and I hope to meet a lot more people.
SPEAKER_07Hell yeah. I'll we'll we'll dive back more into like the local scene like experiences with that um in a minute. I'll give I'll give my kind of side of things on like with my moving stuff and a little bit of opinions, I will say. I want your call, your your um I want your thoughts on my moving situations for some of them. But I know myself, I've I've talked about it that I lived in the Pittsburgh area pretty much most of my life, and that and that that maintains true. The furthest I've ever really moved out was like maybe an hour and a half out. Uh, I don't know directions, so it was some direction on a map. But um, my moving situations, besides moving back and forth to my parents after college, based on like a job that I had, I moved, I think, with at different times I moved in with furries after moving out of my parents uh a handful of years back. One situation was about an hour out when I was working at exporting goods. I moved in a place uh called Midland um that had a nuclear power plant near it. So the area just was very dreary and miserable. It was kind of cool to look at, but it was kind of miserable. But lived with the furry then. It's kind of spooky. Yeah, it was cool though. It was kind of cool, but it I could never call it home. Um, I lived there, ended up moving out, and I moved to another place. Uh, this place was in Altoona, which is a little more rural. It was also for Dick's Sporting Goods um job transfer. Also moved in with the furry then. Moved back home. I feel like I live with another furry at some point, and I'm blinking on it. Oh, an X, but not important. That's the one we're not gonna dive into. Uh, and then I moved in with another furry, which is where I'm at now, which is hands down the best moving situation I've had. But I I kind of want to talk about my experience with having furry roommates. That's kind of something I did want to talk about this episode. Okay. Some advice to some general chit chat too. I felt like it was a good transition. Furry roommates, man, are such a fucking hit or miss. Do you have any stories or any anything relating to furry roommates or even suggestions at all? We'll we'll we'll just kind of banter about furry roommates here for a minute. But I I have so much experience, I want to know your initial thoughts.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, so it's funny enough because this is actually my first experience with having roommates in general, other than my wife.
SPEAKER_07I completely forgot about that. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. And they happen to be two furries as well that are friends. So we have two furry friends that live with us, and I think it's great. I I love the like I love to get up and see somebody else like in the house and be able to like talk with them. And because like one of them works overnight doing deliveries, and one of them works during the day doing um, I think lighting or like electrical work. Sure, sure. So their their schedules are a little different, but it's cool to get up and see one of them come home from their night shift, and we kind of smoke a bowl on the porch and I drink my energy drink. He's getting ready for bed and yeah. So he goes to bed. I've fun, I have a thing to do in the house for the rest of the day, and then the other roommate comes home, Amelda comes home, and I have two people to hang out with during the day or during the afternoon, I should say.
SPEAKER_07So it sounds lively. Yes, that sounds nice. I mean, I know it's pretty early on, but that does sound really nice. Kind of I feel like it helps make it feel more like home because you're like in a nice, comfortable space where like even your social um needs are being met while in your own home. But I I I also assume you still have your own privacy in your own areas of the house that are kind of more just tailored towards you, obviously, like your room and whatnot. But do you have other areas? Like, how's it split off, if I may ask? Just out of curiosity. Or do you guys share the entire house?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, we share the entire house. Um cool, cool. Uh living room, kitchen, media room. They eat everybody has their own bedroom so they're they can feel to decorate either like each room how they want, and um have their own stuff that they want in the house as well.
SPEAKER_07So yeah, gotcha.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, we kind of all just like kind of coexist in the house.
SPEAKER_07So my experience with furries, it's it's they're sometimes the best roommates. I mean, the such I mean, I know Spooky listens to the podcast, so hi Spooky. Um, but that's I've mentioned him in previous episodes before, especially the first episode, that's where I moved and I've still been residing. Best moving situation, best living situation I've ever been in. Uh, very healthy, it's been great, connect very well. Um, we were friends before living together, and then we talked about me moving in when he was looking uh for a little bit of extra money, and um here, and it's been great. But other living situations and with other furries has been horrible, horrible, horrible. And I I I wanted to kind of explain some of my situations in a way of like if you're looking to move with the furry, maybe don't. Because the plus sides, and I think you you can kind of speak on part of this, is like there's always some form of connection with the furry. I feel like anyone who just meets another furry, you immediately have some connections and some things you can relate to, which help with that initial connection to that person. Sure. While living with a furry, you guys kind of share those similarities, sometimes bond closer because you guys are connected in a different way, I guess. Share hobbies, share interests, uh, and you know, can share social outings and whatnot, especially in like the local scene, with especially with where you and I are, where we reside in places that have a lot of local furries. But but stereotypically, furries are from my experience, a little dramatic, a little possessive in weird ways, a little um obsessive in other ways. And you know, I I know that can go as any other roommates having their ups and downs, but something about furries frosts the cake in a way that's just very unappealing. I got you. And it's kind of a little bit of a warning, I guess. Some you know, at the end of the day, whoever you're gonna move in with, you're never gonna know wholeheartedly if this is someone you can truly live with a year from then.
SPEAKER_04That's just something you gotta find out, I guess.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, never ever, never ever, ever, never, ever move with a furry roommate that you don't know. Because it's very easy to find furries who are looking to live in um, especially very populated areas. Pittsburgh's a prime example. If I was ever looking for a roommate and I had my own place, I could find one immediately. But and I think this goes for most roommates as well, not just furries. It's not a great idea. And the moveouts that I've had from my other previous living situations has solely been because of furries, like the furry roommate. I even at times I've had other roommates, but the single furry roommate has made it horrible. And like, I don't even know how to explain the vibe, but I feel like anyone who has moved in and moved out of living situations where furries were involved kind of get what I'm saying. It's nice because you can decorate the house and make it look all bubbly and and fresh and sometimes lewd with all the all the body pillows and stuff that go up on the wall. Um, which it makes it fun, it makes it very personalized. But man, there's just something about furries, and something I wanted to mention was when you live with a furry, unfortunately, that drama doesn't stay within the furry household. If you're someone who's social or looking to be in or is already around like the local. Scene because they're a furry, they're gonna be people who are probably around your group, uh, intentionally or unintentionally. And that is one big suck, big downside, big downside to living with a furry because unfortunately, home life can't necessarily be separated nearly as easily, and that's something I definitely wanted to talk about, just at least a tad, just to throw that out there because it's a little bit informative and kind of our experience, like I was mentioning.
SPEAKER_04But before we move on to that though, Kokery has a question.
SPEAKER_07Absolutely, shooting.
SPEAKER_04And he he asks, uh, would y'all recommend m rooming with people you already are friends with, of course, case by case. But I want to hear your experiences. Abs I think so 100%. Uh my roommates and I um we were actually friends before we moved in together, of course. And um we known each other for about a year and a half before we actually moved in to the house. Uh well, the house was such a short notice. Yeah, we just kind of decided like, hey, we like these people, we're cool with them, they're cool with us, like we're good, we're all good together. So it's all be roommates.
SPEAKER_07So that's a super good question because it transitions into another one of my bullet points as well. But I think that's the only way you should move in with another furry is by it being someone you know and or close with to some degree. The reason being is obviously there's the initial connection and the initial trust that you're that you have already formed. And you know, I think a lot of what I'm saying to this response just goes for general roommates as well. But when you know someone or are close with someone and are looking to live with them, it gives you the time and opportunity, opportunity to discuss boundaries in like those yes and nays of when you guys live together. Yeah, setting that up, even if it's just like a a um, even if it's just like an informative verbal kind of agreement, even though even even but even making like a a a piece of paper where you guys can sign off on it just to keep each other accountable isn't also not a bad thing. I highly recommend. But you have to make sure you're setting those boundaries, what are good and not good. And obviously, like you know, you can't take full control of the house and things just be tailored towards you, but finding those compromises and finding what work and don't work is what will set you up for success or what will set you up for failure. Um, at the end of the day, we're all people, we all have our own ways that we live our own lives, we all have our own schedules, our own wants and needs. Moving in with someone you know, um, hopefully, doesn't break that bond. On the other hand, you have to take into consideration from especially from my personal experience, from what I've experienced with other people, is it will break that bond sometimes too. Because if those verbal agreements are broken or aren't met or things change, or and not being weird, but maybe getting into a romantic relationship with people you like a person to the people you might be living with. Not saying it's every case, but I would say it's it happens. Um, it can cause a lot of tension and issues in the house.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, Sherbert, Sherbert just said, in my opinion, anyone that rooms with a stranger has a death wish.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, like it does happen. And um, I would say it's more in like the younger crowd. Um, obviously, college is an example. And like if you're moving out and you don't you can't move back with your parents, finding a roommate pretty quickly, even if someone you kind of or barely know. I would say those situations happen much more often than just a pure stranger, but separating the person you know for two months versus a person you want to move in with after two years of knowing them, that is a big difference. Um, you need to set up those boundaries. That's what Spooky and I did. We we we talked about it. We we went out to eat multiple times, I think like maybe at least two times at least, and then talk about it on the side every time we hung out of like moving. Here's what we're gonna do, here's what we're not gonna do, here's what we can seriously have talks about. Like, money's a big thing. Like Spooky and I will talk about money and like what I owe and how we go about that. And we have very honest conversations because neither one of us wanted that talk or that part of being an adult to be awkward. Sure. And with how him and I set up things when we're whenever I moved in with him, it has not, in to my with my experience at least, caused any tension. And and spooky and I joke about all the time, like when when we're hanging out, because we do hang out outside of just living together, but it hasn't broken our friendship. If anything, I kind of feel like it's actually made us closer because we get each other very, very well. And like I said, it's the best move, but it took me four different living situations to get that right, where the other living situations have caused turmoil or drama in the local crowd or just problems that have arose in front in friend groups because I lived with other furries that were involved with people I was around.
SPEAKER_04Gotcha.
SPEAKER_07You know, it it there's nothing that I can preach that's necessarily gonna be gospel truth, because that's just not it. But just sharing my experiences, yeah. It's it's gonna be a good idea to move with someone you know. And if it's a furry, it has its benefits. But going into the situation realizing that it could possibly uh break the friendship, I mean that that is very, very possible. I just just keeping a good head on your shoulders and just being reasonable about the situation is the best way you can go about any living situation for that matter. But yeah, Kokiri, appreciate the question. Uh, if you guys are curious how we're able to respond to some people tuning in to our live recording, we have a Discord link down below. You guys can join the Discord server where we do record live sessions pretty much every week. Sometimes we'll do doubles, sometimes we'll change up the days, but every now and then we do live recordings where you guys are listening to the episode. If you're listening to this, not in the Discord, you're listening to the edited version, the the boiled down version, the the censored version. So go get the Discord a link, a listen. You know, we're thinking about doing a giveaway when we get to so many members. So why not join now and just keep in tune?
SPEAKER_03Yep, another giveaway, another giveaway, another giveaway, another giveaway, another giveaway.
SPEAKER_07Another giveaway, another giveaway, another giveaway, another giveaway, another giveaway, another giveaway, another giveaway, another giveaway, another giveaway.
SPEAKER_03And also, also the Texas flops will soon be released.
SPEAKER_07Oh, that it's not soon. We're only at 23 reviews, but we are getting there. People are listening, so you know that's it's getting there. It's getting there. Um, five-star rating on Spotify, 50 of those. We release an episode called Cringe, and we go over my lovely drunk dance and other cool things.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, just other cringe that develops throughout the years.
SPEAKER_07We appreciate all the interaction and all the support. And I am gonna pre-apologize, even though the episode hasn't come out yet. I'm pre-apologizing for last week's episode not coming out on time. Still having the desktop issues, and it's been really hard with transferring files, figuring out the issues. It's created a lot of issues with my recording and editing.
SPEAKER_04Bro, did you try turning it on and off again? I'm gonna kill you. Did you try rubbing mayonnaise on it?
SPEAKER_07I have not tried the mayonnaise, but could it could I do miracle whip? Would that be better? I mean, it's in the name. Uh I don't know. Scientifically, it has to work better than mayo. Because it's called Miracle Whip. A branding wouldn't mislabel themselves.
SPEAKER_04I mean, you can give it a shot, but you might have to go with with real mayo. All right. Why?
SPEAKER_07Can you tell me why? Well, you see. You see.
SPEAKER_04So the miracle whip is based off of the Orthodox Christians and their ways of making miracles through whipping whipping whipping cream into a mayo y substance and and miracle by miracle. Uh the the whip is good.
SPEAKER_07You know, you're really good at explaining a definition of something by using the word itself.
SPEAKER_08I've picked up on that. You've gotten very good at definitions.
SPEAKER_04Oh, yeah, thanks. Yeah. Furry Lingo, turn tune into the furry lingo episodes where um Adobe quizzes me and rage baits me. And we'll keep doing it. I have other episodes planned and looks matches. What am I what am I gatekeeping? And six sevens all over me.
SPEAKER_07Uh, I I'm the one that six sevens all over you.
SPEAKER_04I'm gonna six seven all over your little face.
SPEAKER_07I'm gonna move on to the next bullet point.
SPEAKER_04Sherbert says both of our improv skills have quite improved.
SPEAKER_07Did we suck? Or did we suck? No, I have my I have my butt ifs or my my my no butts. I have a lot of no butts. I've gotten better.
SPEAKER_04Adobe is the six to reuse seven.
SPEAKER_07That is the sweetest compliment I've ever received.
SPEAKER_04Did you see that they came out with six, seven chicken nuggets?
SPEAKER_07Yes, I did see.
SPEAKER_05You saw that?
SPEAKER_07I did.
SPEAKER_05That show is crazy.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. Why? Because it makes money. And because people are talking about it. I want to buy it. Of course you do. I want to give them property. When we do the pepper spray episode, when we have the in-person pepper spray episode, stay tuned for when that comes out when we meet up later in the year. We should just eat those chicken nuggets in tandem.
SPEAKER_04Buffalo chicken six seven nuggets while being pepper sprayed. Pepper sprayed, pepper sprayed.
SPEAKER_07I don't how are we gonna communicate in a podcast episode?
SPEAKER_04Six seven nugget giveaway, sixty-seven nuggets giveaway.
SPEAKER_07You know what? Sure, sure, why not? So, anyway, the next bullet point. Um, so yeah, we talked about kind of our experiences with moving, and like I said, it's not all just related to specifically furry roommates, but I do think some of it has its importance to that um idea. But moving with other furries and or moving in general, finding the local community. We've talked about this on other episodes. Doesn't hurt to kind of go back over it. So, how do how do you go about finding your locals? Um, whether through apps, whether through connections, whether through events, for you, how do you go about finding locals around?
SPEAKER_02Stalking.
SPEAKER_07How do you stalk? Tell me, tell me your process.
SPEAKER_02Um, so I usually find my victims, um Victims. Kind of anywhere. Uh, and I just kind of pick and choose who I want to follow home or like follow to work, or I and I give them all names.
SPEAKER_07I don't know their actual names, so I kind of just so is it like pre-planned or is it just by like personation? Are you going off of opportunities or is it pre-planned?
SPEAKER_04I'm going off of charisma.
SPEAKER_07Okay, well that's a rough one because you lack that, but okay, continue. I don't like it.
SPEAKER_04I don't like charisma.
SPEAKER_07My charisma's high.
SPEAKER_04I have like a plus three modifier on my charisma.
SPEAKER_05I believe no.
SPEAKER_04I feel like I would know. Do you know what I'm referencing? Um I referenced it wrong, but because I'm stupid. Ryu's stupidity makes him cute. Aww. Thanks.
SPEAKER_07I agree. I agree. Thanks. I agree. It's like you can't be mad at a little puppy because they ran their head into the cage without realizing it. You can't be mad at it. Bonk? How cute. So apart from searching out for your victims, how else do you go about um meeting up with locals, finding locals, like just whatever process you have?
SPEAKER_04Uh so I check like my local telegram uh chat. Um, there's a DFW uh telegram chat that posts information about like events and meetups, and everybody can talk about whatever, and it's pretty cool because you get to talk to a lot of cool people that are local to you in their furries and they make cool stuff like art fursuits or they do things like mountain biking or skateboarding. I'm looking at you, Kogary. We gotta go to the skate park. But yeah, Bark is a great tool as well to meet new people in around your area. They've been updating their app pretty consistently and they have been.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, shout out to Bark and the Bark Cast.
SPEAKER_04I haven't listened to Barkcast yet, but I I need to um I need to check them out and see what they're they're on about. Yeah, Bark and Telegram. Kind of my main my main things.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, once like uh once uh you're all settled into a movie situation or maybe just moved, whatever whenever someone's listening to this episode or just listening out of curiosity, telegram local telegram chats are usually pretty easily findable, usually by searches or just asking around if you do know anyone already in the area. That's usually a good way to get in contact, like local, uh local crowds. That's always a good stepping stone. We've talked about it before, and as he just mentioned, Bark is a super, super good app for meeting people. You can use Bark for genuinely whatever you're looking for. I mean that in the true sense. If you're looking to uh make friends, if you're looking to date, if you're looking to be a weird hornball. Um, yeah, you you can use bark for whatever you're wanting whatever your intent is, which is really nice about the app. It's whatever you're wanting to utilize it for. And it's a really good way to meet locals and kind of create more personal connections. It's I I mean, I still meet people off bark, not nearly as often lately, because I have a really solid group that I'm around that I really, really enjoy. But every now and then I meet meet people on bark or I make matches and I I I you know some people see people's profiles and we click, and it's it's always a good way to meet with locals. And I suggest meeting those locals or those first-time bark matches, usually in a public space. And oftentimes, if you can go to a furry event, it's in your area. Oftentimes the best way to kind of click with them because if you don't click with them, you're still in another space where you can talk to other people. I've say it many times, but when you have a relationship, you can kind of snowball those relationships and connections with other people, and it always helps create and foster a good positive environment depending on what you're looking for. But yeah, using the telegram groups, bark groups, uh, because bark has groups too. Um, and just using bark, those two apps are good primary use to bark does have groups, yeah. Don't we don't I don't use them very often, but it is I made a group on bark.
SPEAKER_04I made a group on bark, and I have like seven people in it.
SPEAKER_07The what do we infer podcast group on bark?
SPEAKER_04No, but that needs to become a thing.
SPEAKER_07We should do that, but yeah, using those apps is a good way because what I wanted to get into next was kind of like the local events that's in your area. So, for example, I do live in a pretty populated city, and there are often a lot of furries that create events in my area. We have a couple events that happen um, you know, north of us or uh east of us. Um, but like there are some places up in Ohio and Russia, Virginia, where those groups kind of bleed into my local area. So like there are other places you can go to that aren't just solely in Pittsburgh. But we have events, and I again like I said, I've talked about it before, but we have events that are like we have the furbals, we have small little like meetups and parties and like lunches, like luncheons, and um we have um um what were my like for horny events too? That is very much so a thing. So find what's in your area, go in those telegram group chats, ask around, even if you don't know anyone, just asking a simple question in a general group chat. Some people most times a furry is gonna get back to you on like helping you kind of navigate the area, especially if you say you're new, because people are always wanting to welcome new furries in the area. If you're in a less populated area, situations can differ, but there is always opportunity, even if it's not super close by. There's gonna be something around. It's always it's always just pleasant. It always makes that moving experience much better, it makes it um more fun. And it's kind of how you can call a place home, especially if you're really, really involved in the furry fandom like I personally am. Helps helps you feel comfortable in a new space that you're moving to. Absolutely. Let's see, what else do I have on my bullet point?
SPEAKER_04Tech says, Hey, sorry for missing the last few podcasts. I got heard at work a couple weeks ago. Needed seven stitches. That's my excuse for the one time.
SPEAKER_07What happened?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, dude, what happened?
SPEAKER_07Was Ryus stalking you?
SPEAKER_04Probably.
SPEAKER_07Probably. I had to be what happened.
SPEAKER_04I'll do I'll be I'll be in your postcode. You just don't know it. The part slipped the part slipped out of my hand and cut my leg. Oof.
SPEAKER_07I what's the next chat review? I can't read it. What's the next one?
SPEAKER_04Uh Cookery says, I met a I met one cool guy on Bark, and all the others are furries who want to be BFs after one interaction. Also, I hope you're doing better, Tech.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, that does happen as well. You you have you have to go about the furry landscape in a cautious way, but we've talked about that a bunch before. And previous episodes that you guys can tune into after this one. We're almost done with this one, so just stay tuned a little bit longer.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, just a little bit longer.
SPEAKER_06So we'll finalize out today. Keeping it sweet, sweet and simple, mostly because I need storage left to record right now while I can get everything situated.
SPEAKER_05Wait, wait. Oh, sorry.
SPEAKER_04Go ahead. Kokery has Kokery has requested to speak. Sure. Okay, yeah. Sure. Let me pop him in.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, we'll do this before we do the outro. Doesn't hurt. I just can't do it.
SPEAKER_04This is a new this is a new segment on the What Are We In for Podcast. This is a good segment. I like this segment. Where we bring uh where we bring an audience member into this the speaker's room. So did it work?

SPEAKER_05Alright.
SPEAKER_07Kokiri, before we end out today, what can they do with the fan mail link that we have down below? You know the drill.
SPEAKER_00Go click the fan mail link down below. Send the fan mail, we'll read it between episodes, or at least they will. I'm I'm rarely ever here. This is the first time I'm here. Probably last. I don't know. I don't know what they're planning. Yeah. Go right, say hi. Uh do whatever. Uh we like they like hearing about your experience with the fandom. Uh whatever the topic we were talking about on the last episode. I say we as if I'm here. Uh yeah. Go say hi. We'll say hi back. I know I mean, I'm able to comment.
SPEAKER_07Appreciate you, Gokuri. Thanks for popping in. Oh yeah, dude. Appreciate you, bro. We should we should do audience interactions towards the end. We should do that. We should have like one or two blonde at the end of episodes. We should definitely do that more often. We need uh Ryu, name the segment. Name the segment. What's it what's audience? Um Discord uh duet. Nope, there's more than two Discord dudes. They're not all dudes.
SPEAKER_08Discord, we'll figure that out.
SPEAKER_04Dudes can be gender neutral.
SPEAKER_08I guess.
SPEAKER_04What are they in for? What are they in for? Discord, Discord pop-ups. We'll figure it out by next episode. What are they in for? I think what are they in for is a like that.
SPEAKER_07That's a fun one.
SPEAKER_04Good job, for sure.
SPEAKER_07Um, so wrapping everything up today in this shorter episode. As always, appreciate you guys tuning in. Yeah, just want to kind of go over general experience with moving. And like I said, Ryu and I have a lot of experience with moving. We can always delve into other like subjects that we've already talked about in this episode in like another main topic episode. But just kind of want to go over the gist, give our experience, and just kind of our opinions on the matter. It's fun, it's dark, it's exhausting. Don't do it, but maybe do it. I don't know. I don't know your experience. But as always, we appreciate you guys for tuning in. Don't forget about the links down below. Ryu, where can I find us?
SPEAKER_04We can find us at Adobe on the Twitter. You can find me at Reader on the Twitch. You can find Adobe at Adobe underscore retriever on Twitch and on YouTube as well at Adobe YouTuber.
