SPEAKER_03Hey, welcome back to Don't Give Up. Um, today we have a very, very special episode. Uh one guy I I've seen only pictures of, he was a myth in my mind. And then the other guy who recently came into uh Don't Give Up's life here within the past few months. He's uh did Bible studies and teach and preach. Um, it's very, very excited, and I'm super blessed to have him here today. Me and Bob's gonna talk with him, and I'm sure you guys are gonna be blessed. But if you haven't already, please go back to our last episode. Uh, Bill Smith and his brother-in-law Mike. Mike shares his powerful testimony. I mean, I didn't even know this about the guy, and Bill is just standard Bill, uh, the guy we all love and adore. Shout out Bill Smith. Shout out Bill Smith. Um, but uh, if you like I said, if you haven't already, please like, share, subscribe, uh, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, we're all over the place. Uh, I believe we're gonna start a a Snapchat here. So I'm pretty excited about that. We're gonna try that out. Um, Spotify, Apple Music, iHeartRadio, we're all over the place. Thank you, Jesus.
SPEAKER_02Download the YouTube app too. Please download the YouTube app.
SPEAKER_03Actually subscribe. There's so m the majority of people that watch are not subscribed. Subscribed.
SPEAKER_02And and and I know that you know you can go to YouTube in the browser, but go to it in the uh go in the app store, whatever kind of phone you have, download the app, sign in, and subscribe to it because it it helps us a lot, helps the alg algorithm push us out.
SPEAKER_01Well, what do you say, Leonard? I don't know, man. I don't know, you're putting me on the spot. You're putting me on the spot now. I'm excited, man.
SPEAKER_03No, I'm excited you're here. I can't believe it because um it I got a text message from uh Willie Woody Small talking about you. I guess you would uh was preaching a revival, uh, and um you know, and I guess you you were you sort of mentioned in Bill Smith's testimony and fire broke out, you know. I I really want to talk about that, but then we also have uh I I'm not just I'm a fan. Really? I'm actually.
SPEAKER_00I mean, I'm glad you get to meet me. This is getting my feet.
SPEAKER_03This is Chris Butler. Yeah. Um Uncle John Granite showed me pictures of you, a full slideshow, videos of you at the Disciple Center. Best time of my life.
SPEAKER_00Uh honestly that's the best. Me too. Everybody should go.
SPEAKER_04Everybody should go. If you're not if you're not addicted now, you should be so you can get to this place.
SPEAKER_03No, honestly, because it's it's uh there's something about Texor Cana, Disciple Center. You're away from everything, there's nothing around you, yet you're you could just disconnect. You know what I mean? And I didn't have my phone for 28 days. And to me, uh I I really did. Uncle John calls it, he just keeps the vampires off you. Yep, you know what I mean? And when I got there, I did not the first night I got there, I did not want to be there. I says, give me my wallet, give me my phone, see you later, you know, Sainara. And I ended up staying, and it was a battle every day for the first week.
SPEAKER_0011 days usually. Right, okay. Well, it's like 10. That's what me and him talked about. 10, 11 days, and then you kind of start coming to yourself. Yeah, I would say that. Then you think you're good. Yeah, it's time to go, but it's not.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it definitely wasn't time for me to go. Honestly, the last day there, I was like, I couldn't believe that I was missing it. I was like, I couldn't believe, like, I'm man, I gotta go. I have to leave. Yeah, that's how I felt. Yeah, I couldn't wait to get away, and then by the 10, 11th day there, I couldn't believe that I had to leave. It it was amazing. And I knew I got saved there because I I've said this before. My prayer changed, Chris. What was it? It first it was forgive me, forgive me. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Oh Lord help me. Yelling at the clouds. And then something switched. I started remembering my testimony. I started remembering all the things God did for me. I started remembering because I've been born again and backslid more times than I can count. And I finally just surrendered and started thanking him. I started remembering and thanking him for everything. I thanked him for my eyes, the air on my lungs, my hands, my feet. I was thinking it for the trees, you know. And um, but thank God for Texar Cana for a place like that for our people, that we can go there, you know. You're not an outcast, you're there's nobody plucking you, you're not locked in your room. You could leave, you could do whatever you want. Yeah, but uh Uncle John really does take the time. He's amazing. Tell me about these, uh, tell me about these, these, these, these slideshows. The slideshow, okay, how that's you were squatching.
SPEAKER_00Okay, you want to know how it started? Yeah. Okay, I'll tell you how it started. So there's a fella in there, uh, Irish many years older than me, real straight laced. I mean, real, you know. And uh, so it's about a about 11 days. Everybody's coming to their self. We got there the same day. And uh the whole time I'm asking Uncle John, I'm like, so who's the craziest person in here? You know, what's some stunts? And he told me some stunts, so I'm thinking, all right. So we go out, man, we're in this beautiful, you've seen the pictures, you know, and uh they walk off because I'm still not quite feeling it, you know, take some time to adjust. And uh when they come back, I stripped off to my underwear, and I'm laying in the I'm laying in the stream with the water pouring over me. And I'm thinking, you know, they're gonna go wild. And uh Uncle John whipped his phone out and he started having me pose. And that was just it from there. You know, we just kept it going. Uh oh, so you were the beginning of this. Of the pose? Of the the photo ops. Oh, the photo well, the photo shoots. Photo shoots. The photo shoots. You was the beginning of it. Yeah, photo shoots. Okay, that is. And then uh he you know, he helped me with uh, you know, other other things, braiding out uh different different characters that I have, you know, good ones. And uh personalities. Yeah, other personalities, you know. So and that helps, you know, we're supposed to be all things to all people.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah, we are.
SPEAKER_00So you can switch it up a little. That's good. No, but listen, it's it's great. And you know what? It's real time, it's not this uh prison, it's not uh you know, Uncle John said this, you know, Jesus hunt around with 12 men walking around and they enjoyed each other, they had a good time, yeah. And uh so I guess we gotta have a good time. I'm just I'm glad to be here, brother. You know what I mean? Like literally, I'm glad to be here. And I don't mean really with you guys all dressed in black, I mean like alive. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_04It's it's it's really pretty, it's really pretty good. Extra. I have a lot of friends that didn't make it, they didn't make it past Thursday. So I know what you mean. And and I seen their kids ended up getting raised by somebody else, and their wife got married, so they just life went on without them.
SPEAKER_00And that freaked me out because I was like, most of that's happened to me, but I'm I'm cool with it, you know.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, well, I know, but I mean you're right, you're just not dead, right? Which is good. I that's that is a big part of it. This whole thing started out of that because this was supposed to be uh a podcast originally the idea um uh with with John Granite in mind for the disciples. For the disciples, right? And then it was gonna be probably him and John Grant, but John Granite wasn't a part of it because you know he just he didn't like the whole he didn't like that. That's not his style, I guess. Right, but he can talk to the wall, you know what he is. He's amazing. And um, and then it ended up I I think I was choice number four, but uh you know, I'm here and I'm glad to be here too, you know. Yeah, you know, it just worked out. It worked out. Yeah, you were chosen by the Holy Spirit. Yeah, I saw it was good.
SPEAKER_00It was number one to me, Bob. Thank you, Jim. Thank you. It's just giving back. You have to, you know, like that story with the lepers, one and then and then the one that went back. He was made whole. Yeah, like I think about that. Like, did everything come like his nose grow back? Did his fingers grow back? Because the other ones were like, they were healed, but he was made whole.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but made whole in his heart, a void in his heart. Yeah, he was he was born again, transformed. Yeah, amen. That's beautiful. Man, that was a good one. Well, you're beautiful.
SPEAKER_00You know, we won't take offer a ballot. I three verse eight. Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed me. Test me now and this, saith the Lord of hosts. If I will not open for you the windows of heaven abroad, such a blessing. Not room enough to receive it. I love it. So let's get it. Any guys take credit cards? Put a QR code up. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Over the card. Here, here, and here. Uh fellow.
SPEAKER_03You gotta do it. You gotta do it.
SPEAKER_02Leonard, you do it. Now we'll do it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Well, man, you know, uh one thing you said there, you're just happy to be alive, and Bob was talking about, you know, other uh life goes on, right? They would just figure that out before it's too late. Because life goes on. The bills don't care that you're addicted. The bills don't care that life is hard. You're I'm sorry, everybody else, life goes on. So if you go ahead and woe is me, and you know, I I always found an excuse to drink. You know, I'd say, Oh, it was a terrible week. Oh my gosh, you know, and I cry my eyes out and I go get a bottle. Or I would say, Man, we had a great week. Let's celebrate. Yeah, it was all right. He could find an excuse for everything, but guess what? Life goes on. You know what I mean? And that's the same thing about Jesus, though. He is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. He never changes, but we do. We change. We're the ones who run away from our testimony. We're the ones who run away from what he's doing in our lives. You know, and his mercies are new every morning. So I don't care how many times that if you're watching this, I don't care how many times you've slipped up, I don't care how many times you've been saved, delivered, filled with the Holy Spirit, led somebody to the Lord, I don't care how many times you backslid. Jesus doesn't change. You can always come back to him. If you have air in your lungs, you can always come back boldly, approach, confidently approach the throne of grace. Because that's what Jesus did on the cross. He made a way for us, no matter how foolish or or or or weak we are, we can always go back to the cross. But I want to talk about Leonard. Man, you when you came on the scene, man, I'm not just saying it. So James Drinkwater told me about you, and he wanted to get him on teach and preach uh for a couple weeks, and then something kept on happening, whatever it was, and I was like, well, let me call him. I I called you up, and uh you didn't believe it was me at first.
SPEAKER_01Man, you called me on the phone, and we're in a snowstorm bringing a roller trailer back to my uncle's place, and I'm getting calls upon, calls, upon, calls, and he was in the truck with me. And I'm half finna stop and pay my insurance, and man, the trailer's whipping, and it's like a big nightmare. And I think at that time I'm like, I'm watching every podcast in order, you know, from oldest to newest. Like, I'm trying to catch, I'm like, man, I want to watch all of them, you know. And like I remember just literally thinking, like a couple hours before that, I'm like, man, I just like just go hang out with these guys. Like, I just want to hang out with them. Like, I don't even care if we're on the podcast, like, just be cool to hang out. And I I you call me on the phone, and I'm on the phone with four or five different people, and I looked down and it said like ham industries or something on there, whatever it said. And I just looked and I'm like, this is a spam call. I put the phone back in, and for a split second, my mind, I'm like, what if that is Hamilton? Like, what if Hamilton's calling me, you know? And uh, I just stuck the phone back in. I went and paid the insurance, and and now I'm I'm like pestering her and I walked out and I'm like, This is ham. Like Hamilton's calling me. What does he want? You know? And I get out and he sent me a texture like, hey man, call me. And we stopped at the gas station. He's like, What's going on with you? Like, what is your I'm like, I just gotta stop. I gotta stop for a second. Like, he's like, What is your problem? I said, I just need a minute. I need a minute. I'm like, I need one second. And I walk in and I paced around the gas station on the phone to you, talking in this snowstorm outside. And we was on the phone for like 30, 45 minutes. Every time we're on the phone. Every time we get on the phone. And uh, man, like you call me, you're like, man, I want you to do teaching preach. Like, I just I wanted to talk to you. And like, man, I felt like I'd known you my whole life from a 45-minute phone call. I was like, man, I've known this guy forever. Likewise.
SPEAKER_03Likewise, yeah. Uh, you know, I felt the Holy Spirit all over you, man. The first time I mentioned or met uh over the phone, and even more so at this uh Kingdom Chasers.
SPEAKER_01You want to give the Kingdom Chasers a shout-out, real quick? Yeah, man, shout out Kingdom Chasers, shout out everybody, devote cast that come out, aligned was there, uh Tiffany Joseph, but you guys showed up, showed out, man. Uh James was there. We had the whole the whole crew was there, man. There were the heads of full gospel, cornerstone. It was uh it was a good turnout. It was an awesome, awesome turnout. And uh, you know, I know just with a couple that I prayed over, personally, myself, two young boys that gave their life to the Lord. I'm sure I'm sure others that you prayed with and and uh uh you know, Patrick that you prayed with, you know, there was there was an awesome turnout there. There was an awesome turnout, and uh it was awesome just to see everybody kind of come together, but it was different than I think kind of like a typical revival. You know what I mean? And it was cool for you guys to put your stuff out in the tackle boxes, you know, Eddie's stuff, and and just kind of get everybody to but I feel like everybody showing up was a different mindset, you know what I mean? It wasn't like, man, we need to come here to get saved, it's like we need to come here to get poured into. We need to come here to receive something and you know, uh get full on something, start start getting that outpouring in our lives, you know. It was good, it was awesome, it was an awesome turnout.
SPEAKER_03The theme was back to worship, and uh I I love it, man. It was the I did I was kind of surprised when I heard uh you guys call it a conference, Kingdom Chasers Conference. I I I'm always my you know revivals or you know, uh youth group or something or whatever, you know. And uh when I heard it was a conference, but um when I got there, I'm saying all that to say I didn't know what to expect. And then when I got there, you could cut the Holy Spirit with a knife. It was so thick in that place. I couldn't help but I'm a big crybaby too, you know, just ugly cry.
SPEAKER_05Thank you.
SPEAKER_03You know, and uh and then you meet everybody. I finally met Ronnie and Zeke there. I you know, I was first time ever meeting them. I they well, I'll tell you it's funny about them. When I got out of the disciple center, or when I got my phone back, right? Yeah, um the very first 30 seconds I had my phone, Ezekiel George called me and wanted me on the podcast. You know? So yeah, and they were the first ones I ever seen do this type of podcast. So shout out Ronnie and Zeke. Shout out Ronnie and Zeke. Yeah, devoted cast. Like, share, subscribe to them, guys. They do a good work, they go out and uh spread the gospel.
SPEAKER_04Umxpected, you uh you was mentioning uh Leonard when I first heard his name. You was talking about that phone call you made, and you like we're seeing the fruit of what we've done over the last few months now. We're starting to see people that were affecting their lives and that. But you were like our first fan. You know? And I was like, really? We got a fan. You know, he's like, oh yeah. I mean, he couldn't believe it was me on the phone. It was just comical. I'd never experienced that before.
SPEAKER_01No, but in a good way, you know. And then I was like the little cars on Lightning McQueen. Like I was already, like, I already had my own t-shirts made, my own hats. Like, yeah, I got the truck and he's like, What you would know what was going on. Like, man, I just got off the phone.
SPEAKER_00He's pacing, yeah, he's on the phone.
SPEAKER_04But I never heard you till the teaching preach, and and Ham knows. I'm like, I always take everybody with uh uh you know a step back, because not everybody that says they're a minister, you know, is in tune with the with the Spirit of God, and and you never know what kind of crazy doctrine is out there, and you know, and I'm always like a little hesitant over the year, and I listen, but up until that point, that message you gave, and I know I've told you this a million times, and I've tell everybody about this this moment, but I'm gonna say it on air, is um is you know, we he we was doing the Bible study and the teacher praying, everything we were doing behind the scenes, the Lord kept saying the same things over to us. So you know how the Lord has a way of just repeating itself over and over until you're like you get the moment, yeah. And and it was about the shepherd and the sheep and all this stuff. So you're finally up now, you know. And I didn't even put the the camera on, I'm just listening to you. I'm sitting back listening to you. It's my my ears is perked up because that's what you started on. You know, you went into this mess, and it was unbelievable your message was. And but but your point at the end was that at Christ in Matthew, was it 25? We talk about uh, you know, uh separating the sheep from the goats, and you went in explaining the sheep and and uh and explaining a goat, and and I'm pretty advanced into what what we do, you know, and I I'm listening, not that I'm unteachable, you know. I'm I'm listening, I'm trying to I'm trying to get what the Lord's saying, but at the end of it, I'm like, I'm a goat. I'm a stubborn, independent person, you know, that's not being led by the Lord, you know, and and it totally I had to pivot from that moment. I pivoted from that message. I but you change, I say all the time, and Leonard Pickett changed my life. You you ministered that that message, and it hit me like a ton of bricks because it was the Lord through you saying that, and it was exactly and it was funny because the Lord was leading me up to that moment, bang, and then he dropped that on me, and to the point where I've had to submit and be led and just kind of go with the flow, and I've and I've got messages you'll hear in the field because I've got the Lord's downloaded all kinds of stuff now from that that uh that's beautiful, and it and it is about being a sheep. Because when I first heard about being a sheep, it's almost insulting if you ever meet a sheep. They're kind of they look like a big stupid animal. You know what I mean? But God is not being, you know, he's not being this, you know, he's not insulting you. You know, a sheep is just it's it needs lead, and it, you know, there is limits. And if you can be honest about yourself, you do need lead. You do need you do need a shepherd. You know, you can't defend against some of the stuff we're going after, you know, even spiritually. And uh, and and that's and that's what he's talking about. And it's a way better life. It's a way better life than having to put everything on your shoulders and try to do like we normally do as young boys, we're off into this world, and you don't have to live that way. The Lord is is your shepherd, he's gonna take care of you, and it that's where you get rest and all the wonderful things that come from this, you know.
SPEAKER_01Well, man, that was I was just saying about this a couple days ago. Uh I'll watch like street ministers go out and evangelize. And I feel like there's so many Muslims coming into this country. I mean, it's gonna be impossible not to run into them. And I feel like for them, and even the Hebrews too, they cannot wrap their mind around it. That God Himself humbled himself to become a human and they they think in their minds, well, he he limited himself. You know, that that's not God. That's not God. How can he limit himself? He can do anything he wants to do. He can do anything he wants to do, and by you thinking that he can't limit himself as man, you are you're taking power away from God. So not only is he our shepherd, but he humbled himself, he limited himself to become a lamb, to live the same life that we go through, but was led to slaughter. But he, out of any lambs in this room, he's the only one that was spotless and blameless and could have been the sacrifice for us. That's what I got out of that. Yeah. I never it never caught my attention like that. Yes, he is our lamb. You know, he's referred to his lamb however many times, but he's also our shepherd. He's he's both, he fills both positions.
SPEAKER_03There's a picture of a uh a lamb sitting on the throne of heaven. And I don't know, I just think it's the coolest picture ever. But there's also a song that I like to sing, it's from um Orange County Supertones, and I kinda read it a little bit because it's a little slow. But um I love it. And it says, The shepherd is the lamb. Do you understand that God became a man? And he did. He felt everything we did. You know? And I always thought too, kinda a little side note, you know, when he was quiet, when he came up, he was getting beat up and everything else, he was quiet. And then I heard I I can't remember who it was, but it was a preacher I heard one time say, You know why he was quiet? Because if he slipped up, because he was man, and he slipped up and said something, he could have destroyed the whole planet. I think that's pretty interesting. Meekness. Yes. The meekest man of the world. I'm the meekest man.
SPEAKER_04I'm trying to be the meekest man of the world. I am not the meekest man.
SPEAKER_03No, but what you preached about with the sheep on that teacher preaching one night, it blew my mind away because how about the Bible study? It's amazing. We DC Bible study, check it out on Facebook. And even the teach and preach, also on Facebook, teach and preach hour of power. Every time somebody gets on there or we study, how about the confirmation we get all week long? Every church service or on a radio, something it's the same thing. They're talking about it and they're they're explaining it even more so. And that's when you started talking about the sheep, you know, that was talked about for like a week. And it was like, I seen Bob's face when you started talking, he was like, Oh my gosh, this is it. And then you are man. You where do you get your preaching from? Like, where do you get your style? Because you're you're you're a powerhouse preacher and you're a teacher.
SPEAKER_01It's the Holy Spirit. And my uncle at home always says that. He says, you know, he said, You're a preacher, there's no doubt about that. My uncle's 70-something years old, but he he says, You're a teacher, my boy, more than anything. And uh, whenever I'm preparing a word or however you want to put it, I study and study and study because I want to know every little thing there is to know about it. And this year, I I've been doing uh the chronological Bible study the past couple of years, but this year I see what I have to read for the day, and then I read it out of the day study Bible. Because man, you'll get this much of the page is the scripture, but then this much of the page is like footnotes going into each scripture and explaining the Greek and the Hebrew and the different words. And man, if if I get something to eat, man, listen, I I'm okay with the baloney sandwich, I'm gonna be fine with that. It's gonna satisfy my flesh and take away my hunger. But man, if I got the choice of getting steak, you know what I mean? Yeah, why would you not? You know, there's so much more in there, but it's how much you want to dig into it, is what you're gonna get out of it. And and AZ tells me this all the time it's you filling up the study, and that's for you, you know. It's what comes out of the study, and that's for everybody else, you know. And it's just God, it's not me, it's got God'll pick out this needs to be preached, this shows my cross, this shows my death, this shows my sacrifice, this shows me in that studying, you know, and it that's what comes out of it, you know. But it's everything else in it that I'm picking up, that's for me, you know. But it it it's all God, it's all the Holy Spirit that enables me. And I was telling Zeke and Ronnie this, you know, if you would have looked at me 10 years ago and been like, hey, this guy's gonna be preaching a couple years, I said him, the one that's always sitting in the back corner, not talking, never saying anything, that don't go to church, that's always in the background of the crowd, he's never never upfront anything. You would say, Man, he's you're Divi, you're nuts, it's not gonna happen. There, there's no way he don't talk, he don't know how to talk, he don't know how to act. His face always blood red if he does have to get in front of people and talk. I said, There's no way that this this boy's gonna preach it. It's God, it's it's a boldness and the enablement from the Holy Spirit that comes out. You know, it's it's nothing to do with me, be man. Trust me, I can I can prove to you in and out it's nothing to me. It's I'm I'd be hiding behind the TV if it wasn't for the Holy Spirit in here, just listen to you guys right now.
SPEAKER_03Man, you know, it's funny you say that when you um So I started realizing, and I've read the Bible my whole life, but I started finding Jesus everywhere in the Old Testament. That's fun. When you find it so fun, yeah. It's like where's Waldo almost? Only he's way easier to find in judges.
SPEAKER_04Uh each one, each each judge was uh was another picture of Christ. Uh-huh. Or the exact opposite. Or the exact opposite, yeah.
SPEAKER_03You know, but well but the reason why I say that when you preached at uh the Kingdom Chasers conference, you were mentioning about the the ropes, you know, and going in with the the bells and and everything. You know, uh what everything that you you talked about, it's if it's not Jesus centered, you know what I mean? Why are you talking about it? You know what I mean? If you can't find Jesus in it, what's what's the point here? That's who it's all about, right?
SPEAKER_04You hear a whole message and you didn't hear Jesus mentioned in it, yeah. I'm sorry, I'm out.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, well, like, because a lot of people get lost in you were just talking about it, the politics or psychology part of it. Yeah, trying to break it down that way, yeah. But they try to what did he say? Swallow camel, but strain out of that, you know what I mean? They they make it so complicated. Right.
SPEAKER_01And it's like, oh my gosh. If it's not complicated in politics, it's everything's uh everything's like tickle mielmo now. Everybody just wants to feel good. It's like, let's just go, let's go to church and feel good. And and man, I walk out of church feeling good. You know, listen, that's good. I like to feel good. Everybody likes to feel good. We you know a lot, we none of us would be in the shape that we're in if we didn't like to feel good. Right. But we go we need to go to church for correction, you know. I was telling somebody this the other day, is you know, church, yes, can God install something in people at church? Yes, 100%. It happens every Sunday, I'm sure. But people need maintenance. You know what I mean? People need correction. People, hey, you're veering off. It's time to get back on the straight and narrow again. Hey, you're you're getting you're getting out of things now, you're you're getting off again. You know, get back in order, get back in line again, just like the sheep and the goats. It's getting us back in line. And me and uh Uncle Chris was talking to our cousin the other day, and uh he was talking about one of his uh I won't even get into you, he was talking about one a man that he knows that went to church and he hadn't been to church in 20 years, and he walked out. He walked out of church and he said, Everything that man was preaching, he was talking about me. Yeah, he was talking about me, everything he said, he was preaching about me, he was picking on me, talking about this and this, and it went in a big list of stuff. And my cousin told him, Did does that pastor know you? Does that preacher know you? Well, no. Does he know what you done this week? Well, no. Does it say does he know all about your life? Well, no. He said, Brother, that wasn't that wasn't the pastor picking on you. So that was the Holy Spirit convicting you. He said, that was the Holy Spirit showing you and revealing things in your life. And like I said, people just want to, oh, that that message, that made me feel good. You know, I'm gonna go out and do this now. Or that made me feel like this. There's no correction in that, but what is the cross? You know what I mean? It's it's a picture of of correction, it it's a picture of sacrifice, it's a picture of putting your old life to the side and living a new life that he grants us through the cross. You know, it's not always about just feeling good or getting a little goosebump every now and then, but it's it's about living a straight life for him. But because he did it, because he did it, we are able to. It's nothing in our own strength, but it's because he already done it that we are able to by his strength. By his strength.
SPEAKER_03Awesome. And and that is absolutely true. I mean, a lot of people want to feel good. I know that's uh kept me drinking for a long time. I just wanted to feel good. I was all numb. But I what I'm really talking about is like people try to make things complicated. They want to sound so sophisticated and smart, and they might be sophisticated and smart, but like, you know, where's the love at? Where's the patience? Where's the the the the meekness? You know what I mean? You know, and and and when you find Jesus, you know, uh in every which way that you find Jesus, he's always humble and he's always coming at uh an angle of love and patience and long suffering. You know, and not to say that you should I I think if you're not tortured or all that, you know, I think that God, you know, uh I everybody's different, but I think that you can live an abundant, successful, healthy life. But things do happen. You know what I mean? So uh but I'm saying all that to say I found Jesus in Genesis, Exodus, Judges, Leviticus, no, I'm just naming all of them. I'm just saying I uh here recently this year, the things that I've studied is I all throughout the Old Testament, you find Jesus in He's the showbread, he's the bread of life, he's the menorah, he's the light of the world, you know what I mean? He he's the incense, he's our sweet savor into the nostrils of Christ of the Lord. And when you find that, when you study to show yourself approved, if you're not looking for Jesus, sorry, you're just studying you're just hot air. You know what I mean? And uh, you know, uh I think what what you what I love about your preaching is it is teaching and it is fiery preaching, but it's Jesus, and I see Jesus all over you. You know, I see Jesus all over you, Chris. And um, you know, uh no matter how difficult life can be, if you find Jesus and you don't give up, you know, uh He will push you forward. He will His Word, Jesus is the Word, right? He is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. He guides us the way, He shows you where you should go. Hey, do we slip up? Do we mess up? Absolutely. But as my dad would say, put your boot straps on, you know, strap your boots on, put your shoulders back, slick your hair back, and go on.
SPEAKER_00You know what I mean? Jaw on, you know what I mean? He's just talking about that boots. Oh, yeah?
SPEAKER_01What's the word? Uh intentions. Intentions. I got thorough good boots. He calls them my Captain America boots. And you gotta like triple lace them like you're going to war, you know. But man, it's like when I get up in the morning and strap them up together, you know, it's it showed like I'm going out with intent. You know what I mean? But but you know, he was putting it to me the one day of this is how our life has to be spiritually. Go out with our intentions, strap yourself up, lace yourself up and get ready to go on about your day. Have intentions. And we were talking about uh Paul making tents, being a tent maker, you know. He had intentions when he got up in the morning, intentions, you know, to make those tents. But by the end of his day, he was ready to go out. You know what I mean? He was ready to get out and preach the gospel. Yes, that that paid for his food, it paid for his home, his rest, whatever he needed. But his main goal during the end of the day was get out and preach the good news, preach the gospel. He went all over. He was three different continents he went to to preach the gospel to people. Yes, the tents supplied him, he had, but he had intentions behind it to get out and get the gospel out. Now, a lot of people don't know uh the Chris A.K.
SPEAKER_04Butler. Would you like to be called Butler? It's all stage name, though. Okay, all right.
SPEAKER_00He's a big part of you too, though, right?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, explain that. Explain how you can say everyone's you guys are sitting next to each other.
SPEAKER_00Pretty much uh, you know, he didn't give me any credit last time. It was all the Lord and stuff. It's your tie, right? Pretty much, pretty much I'm the man I'm the man behind the curtain. Right. Yeah, great odds. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So uh but uh you know I just passed the mantle over. I'm just gonna let him flow, you know. You're you're a meek man. Yeah, I'm very meek. Yeah, we might mean. But if you give him credit, he'll take it. It is hard. They wrote a little song about me. It's hard to be humble when you're perfect in every way. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03They wrote a song about me too. Didn't they write that in Texarkana?
SPEAKER_00No, they didn't. You ever heard that song? Lord, it's hard to be humble when you're perfect in every way. No, me. I can't wait to look in the mirror. I get better looking each day. You don't know that song. I'm pretty surprised we fall for every song so far.
SPEAKER_02You know that song, Jim? I know that song. I'm pretty surprised you don't know that song. Come on, Jim, sing it. I'm Howard singles, right?
SPEAKER_01Nobody wants to hear me say if I would have told him to do it, he'd do it. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02You're not demossy for the hundredth time.
SPEAKER_00No, but listen, if it wasn't for Leonard, well, first of all, if it wasn't for Leonard, I wouldn't be here. No, I mean the Lord, listen, the Lord uses people he drove you here.
SPEAKER_04I watched it.
SPEAKER_00He drove me here. But uh, you know, we look for uh what'd you say about if it's not if Jesus ain't in it? Yeah. Well, hey, Jesus, I'm the same way. Jesus is in all everybody here in this room. I belie I 100% Jesus is in it. Jesus is in everybody. We're vessels, right? Yeah. We're stewards. We're stewards. Jackson Rod. I'm a Smith. Jesus God's dude, obviously. I'm Jackson Rod Stewart.
SPEAKER_02My mom's my mom's a steward.
SPEAKER_01James is a good thing. But uh, you know, just uh we romney rhyme.
SPEAKER_00I'm waiting for my ancestry to come back in. I think it's gonna it's gonna be a mystery, you know. A lot of neat stuff. Yeah. A lot of neat stuff. Uh I knew it. Yeah. I'm sure I've got a little Asian in there. But nowadays, it's awesome to it's awesome to be here.
SPEAKER_03We're allowed to talk about that. Oh, okay. Sorry.
SPEAKER_00What's that? Asian?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah. The China virus. No, we're not allowed to talk about that. Demonetized.
SPEAKER_04Demonetize. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03It came from China. China. The Wuhan virus.
SPEAKER_04No, we're not political. That's all getting cut. Yeah. That's all being cut.
SPEAKER_02This is a new new side of ham after this week.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. One day in Mar-a-Lago and this guy changes forever. Oh, thank you, Jesus.
SPEAKER_01He got that orange Red Bull, man. It's coming out of the way.
SPEAKER_03China. China. China. Yes, thank you, Phil. Hey, shout out to Phil. Podcast Doctor.
SPEAKER_04Yes. We appreciate him.
SPEAKER_03What is this place? O'Coe. O'Coe, Florida.
SPEAKER_04Is that how you say it?
SPEAKER_02That is.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_03Strawberry Apricot. Red Bull. All right. Focus. All right. I got drunk. Sorry. Yeah, so uh I want to talk about um just for a brief moment. I want you to explain to the crowd, John Granite. Okay.
SPEAKER_00Leader of Disciple Center. He runs it, yeah. Yeah, I got some pictures that I made once for his birthday. Close thing I can explain, he's like the Rumney Hannibal lector for good. You know?
SPEAKER_04Like his comedy, you're like, where is this guy going? And then all of a sudden you're like, that was genius. You know, yeah. But first you're like, wait a minute, he's the devil. Then you're like, no, he's got no okay, he's totally God. Yeah, God possessed. Yes, he's good. Uh he's uh thank you.
SPEAKER_00I I have some friends that need to hear that. Yeah, they're always one. They won't even lay hands on me anymore. They'll just pray from a distance. Uh but uh no, he's absolutely incre you know, first of all, to end up there, well to end up there, you gotta get rid of uh what's that word that we have? Oh, pride. Yeah, I was about to say pride. And nothing will strip your pride uh quicker than being uh some sort of an addict or you know uh and admitting it. Yeah, absolutely. Because most men I meet uh in and and amongst our people, I mean, they need to go. Yeah. If it's just to get rid of the phone, you know what I mean? If it's just to have 28 days without a phone, it's just to be ministered to, right? Well it's called it's called the disciple center, not the gypsy dope rehab. Right. It's not and and and it to truly become a you know, it's like every time I'm there and I've been there more than once, it's better. You know what I mean? It's always better. You always find out something that's missing because it's having that that time away. So there's nothing, nothing disrupting you. You go to church three, four times a week, and everybody's everybody's there is great. Probably some of the best. I love Monkey and his dad, Larry. Um, shout out his dad showed up, his you know his dad's how he is. Larry during one of the photo shoots, the one in the woods with the swords, and you know, yeah. And uh he just didn't know. He just he was speechless, you know. He's so sensible, right? Oh yeah, like what's going on? Yeah. And uh, but I was pushed into it. And that's part of that's part of the trade in Bob. We were talking about we were talking about the movie, what about Bob? You know, yeah. Finally, when I went back the second time, because he knows I love that movie, I get to watch it, you know. That's my that's my break. That and the carbon hour effect, I get to the carbon hour effect.
SPEAKER_03Oh lesson.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Uh yeah, well that's I don't want to bring out the darkness and get prayed for it, you know. But uh I practice uh card tricks and stuff like that. Brother. I love that. I've got some I got some I got I got some ones where I can flush it down the toilet and make it come back. Okay. I'll show you. Yeah, I'd love to see it. It's pretty good.
SPEAKER_02It just got weird in here.
SPEAKER_00Uh but yeah, he's just you know we're back on the devil's idea. Oh yeah, back to Hannibal. Back to Hannibal Lecter. So he can he can he can get in there and really, you know. Hannibal Lecter wants to do good deep down. He is uh he only kills bad people and eats bad people, right? So when you come in there and you gotta put them both in you, John Granite will get a hold of you. No, no, he'll cut out the bad. He does. He has both in everybody unless we're just talking about that. They're like, you're just like I'll let her. I was like, uh and she was like, his wife was like, no, I said, listen, 85% of the time he can spend with anybody, he spends with me. So that's I would check I'm doing good.
SPEAKER_01What kind of guy? Tore up my treasure, please.
SPEAKER_00Also, like we were talking about the deal with the little Divya, you know, like I believe right now, sometimes not all the time, but sometimes like you guys have no idea what I'm saying. I'm just like you know, like chromosome out, like I got three extra ones. And you're just going along with it, like, yeah. And letters here just like, you know, but like nobody knows what I'm saying. It's just, you know, it's just no, I know what you're saying.
SPEAKER_04Oh, right, right.
SPEAKER_00But the John, it's the yin and the yet. It's the yitty. So John's the good version.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Right. Okay. Right. John's the right, the good side of so he's Hannibal Lecter, but the good version handle it that don't exist.
SPEAKER_03I'll tell you something about John Granite, uh, and he has a supernatural gift to listen to you and to to to talk to you in a way that nobody else can talk to you. You know, he's dealt with so many different people. So if you think that I'm the only person, uh nobody's ever dealing with what I'm dealing with, there's nothing new under the sun. And uh there's somebody out there dealing with the same thing you are. Go to the disciples center and not a rehab. It's not it's it's it's a a a place where you can disconnect and and and there's people there that will help you and that care to help you. They'll spend time with you. You'll go Sasquatch hunting, yes, you know, which is basically pictures of him now.
SPEAKER_00Mucky got a picture of the Sasquatch on his trail camp. He really does. Really? No, this isn't made one. It's gone. I don't know. I don't know. Listen, brother, it's two glowing eyes. It's two glowing eyes this far apart.
SPEAKER_02That's the wrong podcast.
SPEAKER_01Because he brings that up all the time on there. I'm gonna put this out there. Nephilim. Nephilim. That's a Sasquatch's man. I'm just gonna leave that. That's just my breadcrumb. My breadcrumb for the day. Yes, Nephilim. We're gonna start a little podcast.
SPEAKER_00It's gonna be two guys in a Sam Coat. If you can hear some of the stuff we come up with during the day. Whoa. This episode will be. We're gonna need some editing. Yeah. So far. Yeah. I can't believe because yeah, he was talking about because I knew I was gonna get on here. I already knew it was gonna happen. So like he's like, yeah, he's got it from 11 to 6. And I'm like, that's all the time he's got for us? You know what I mean? I was asking, you really want to go?
SPEAKER_04You do you want to go?
SPEAKER_00Oh man.
SPEAKER_04So do you do you minister? Like, do you uh be um behind the pulpit?
SPEAKER_00No, no, not behind the pulpit. It's been uh like I said before, it's been 20 years. 20 years before uh since I've been behind a pulpit.
SPEAKER_04Okay, so you did you had a ministry before, and then you you you mentioned briefly how you I go along with you, but I didn't know.
SPEAKER_00Like my ministry, I was uh part of a church up home, and uh I would uh go to a campground up there. Okay, Yogi Bear camp. So you go around on Saturday, you let everybody know to come. Yes, and you set things up, they come out on Sunday. Okay, and uh yeah, it was uh and then just too, like, you know, I was I was young, like my flyers back in the day for work, I had the I had a I had a thing on the back and it said this is for those who need more than a driveway. And then I had a uh a different type of a sinner's prayer on it. I mean it was a sinner's prayer, but it was a a guy that I know up in uh who makes uh McPherson guitars and Matthews Bows.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Uh he's a fellow up home. Um and he he had written it. It was really it was good.
SPEAKER_04What made you for people watching, because we're trying to administer to people and not giving up and all that, what made you uh get distance with the Lord to what was that turning point? Because we all struggle with these things.
SPEAKER_00I will I I will tell you, it was the uh it was the it was the rich young ruler. Um, you know, a lot of us come from nothing. I literally came from nothing. I meant, you know, like I got I I can't say that, but I mean compared to like a lot of my cousins up home, we was trailer trash, you know. And uh I said, man, why do they got I was 11. I wanted a culture club tape. It was 50 cents at St. Vinny's. I love going to St. Vinny's with my mom, and she didn't have the 50 cents to get me the tape. No, it was uh come a chameleon. Okay, very good. Yeah. Okay. But boy George, man. Okay, edge toe. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So uh yeah, and I just, you know, so I said, Oh man, I got it. My you know, my the Billy boys, I said, they go to church. So my cousin Louis, he's my first cousin, I would stay with him, and uh yeah, so when I was 12 I got saved, uh 14, the Holy Spirit, and then when I was 16, uh the Lord really showed up one night. I mean, in my life after that, and still has that Lord's it's it's never been the same. No matter where I was at.
SPEAKER_04He didn't leave, yeah.
SPEAKER_00No, no, no, and and and and and I'll tell you about that night I was praying. If you got time, I was praying and and uh I would say this little prayer, my mom, and and and my parents uh uh didn't know the Lord. You know what I mean? They were they I I got saved. I say my mom did, but I got saved before my parents did. You know, my parents got saved through me, or through the Lord, but you know, me seeing the deal. And uh and uh and I was praying and uh just saying that as I lay me down to sleep, prayer that my mom taught me when I was like eight, you know. And uh and uh I heard the Holy Spirit saying, Man, when are you gonna get right? Because I was still no drugs or nothing, but I was you know, young boy, I was at the time making money, uh, you know, uh and uh things was going my way, and the Lord said, When are you gonna get right? I said, Oh when I'm 18, me and my cousin Seth, we already talked about it. You know what I mean? We're really gonna do it. And uh I said, No, you're not, Holy Spirit, no, you're not. This is the first time now I'm thinking I am a little divvy, like I'm hearing this voice. But it's you know, not audible, but in my mind. I said, No, I no, I am. I'm 18, I'm doing it. No, you're not. And uh I was just kind of froze, and before I could really answer back in my mind, now I'm wondering what's going on. I said, Because you don't believe I'm real. And uh I knew, you know, I've been in church Holy Spirit, I was a kid, but I I I would study and read, and I was like, I knew what to do and what to say, but at that moment, at 16, I with my mouth I said, You're right, God. I I don't believe you're real. Make yourself real to me now. And let me tell you, I never was so afraid in all my life. Never in all those situations, this terrible fear. So I knew enough of the word. I I said, Well, fear is of the devil, so I started rebuking it. And let me tell you, the third time, I'm not gonna scream because it was like thunder, but an audible voice said, Bow in the presence of the Lord in my room all by myself. And I'm I slithered out of the bed, and when my knees hit the floor, it was like something ushered the presence in first something. I've never experienced nothing like it in my life. But something came, and then just this amazing power just slowly passed over. And I I got thinking, I tried reenacting it later in life. I'd go to that same room that I grew up in, and thinking, was it the light shining through? But it was, I mean, it was like it was supernatural. It was supernatural. And uh, and uh, you know, ever since then I've this might not be real, this could all be the matrix, possibly, but I know God is real. A hundred, a hundred thousand percent. There's no, there's no denying him. And uh, you know what? I heard someone say years ago, they said, even if I know I'm going to hell, I'm still gonna serve the Lord. I'm still gonna do my best. And uh this is from a man who's super legalistic, by the way. I used to I went the other way. I thought you could get away with pretty much anything. And then you know, later I found in life that you can't consequences. Yeah, you can't drink from the cup of demons and the Lord. Right, right. Because there are yeah, 100%. There's consequences to our to our actions. And you know, um, it's just so much better. It is so much, it's so much better with the Lord.
SPEAKER_03Though the Lord is exalted, he regards the lowly, he invites them into his fellowship, but the proud and haughty, he could see from a distance. You know what I mean? Yes. So that's that word you were talking about, pride.
SPEAKER_00Oh man. So and and I had, you know, as a young as a young uh uh minister, um I, you know, I f you find this out later, but you know, I you know I'd heard about your dad when I was 12 years old. First, first Tell me about it. Oh my goodness. My cousin Louie, listen to it. I it he's got a tape and it's got, you know, it looks professional. And you know, back then nobody had anything like that that I'd ever seen.
SPEAKER_03Did you tell me about this the other night? And uh man, I'm like, who is this guy?
SPEAKER_00You know, who is shout out, Uncle Eddie. Yeah, and and my cousin Louis, you know, he's six six years older than me. He's like, oh, it's a span Eddie Smith. He's a Rumney man, and I mean I'm like, there's no way. Rummies do this? Like for real? Like this, professional. So he sounds like a rock star. Oh, he's great. Then then he got it, and Louis was like, let me tell you, he's a good-looking man. Oh crazy. Oh, yeah, I said he said the man's a stud. He jogs 20 miles a day. And now that's this is the best part. I never forgot this my whole life. I asked your dad about it. The first thing I asked him. William Wallace, he keeps getting better. Yeah, and Louis says, and all he drinks is milk. Well, I mean, you know, my whole life, every time in milk. Well, I'm just thinking, you know, so to get back to, you know, to get back to me, now I'm in my twenties and I'm preaching and all I do is drink milk, you know what I mean? So I'm thinking I got the Eddie Smith anointed on me.
SPEAKER_04But it went to my lactose the dollar, you forgot that it's exactly.
SPEAKER_00You know, I dad, no emotion. I mean, so I'm having a lot of problems. I mean, I'm drinking the milk when I'm making a mess of myself and everybody. You asked my dad the other night. Yeah, so uh, you know, of course, you can't just hit him straight with the milk. But I I pretty much did. And uh yeah, he uh, because at first I said, you know, because I'm sure he wasn't expecting. I said about, you know, and I spudger you know, I since I was 12 years old, and I'm just so glad to meet you. I said, but can I ask you, I gotta ask you a question. Is it true all you drink is milk? And at first he said, Oh, I've never drank. I said, No, no, no, I know I because I heard he's just never, you know, perfect, pretty, pretty, pretty good guy. He thought you said drink. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. He said, he said, no, I said, no, no, is it true you only drink milk? And he kind of said a little bit. He was like, Yeah, actually, I used to. I used to be kind of a help nut.
SPEAKER_03You know, he still loves he loves chocolate milk.
SPEAKER_01She drink milk milk. I was talking to somebody else, and I looked over and I'm like, dear Lord, I'm talking about. I knew what he was saying. I was waiting for Uncle Chris to put his hands like this, like in the cup of milk. I'm like, I know he's gonna bring up the milk. I know.
SPEAKER_03You met my mom and dad that my mom told me about it. She was like, I finally met him. I totally get it. You know what I mean? Because all I talk about is him to her. I'm like, he said this, he said that. Me too. Yeah. We were talking on the phone. Yeah, oh, I am. I'm a I'm a Leonard Pickett fan. I'm a Leonard Pickett fan. I want the shirt. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_04No, but he uh I'm still Larry Dale's biggest fan, though.
SPEAKER_03Shout out Larry Dale.
SPEAKER_01Um Larry, and I think your dad's like my two, like if I could go on Apple and see who I listened to and Howard, it that's like my three every day, every album. Them three on there, man. It's it's it's Uncle Eddie, Howard, and Larry Deal every day, all day. It's all I think.
SPEAKER_04We were spoiled that we had Uncle Eddie at our disposal any moment of our lives. You know, he really did, he was a big part of my life. You know, uh, there was a moment where I was just completely destructive mode. Like couldn't, couldn't, I was pumping the gas, just trying to destroy my life. And uh and Aunt Debbie, which is his sister, it's Uncle Ham Parker's uh wife, uh, was one of those people. I mean, she just she just came into my bedroom, you know what I mean? Like, get up, you know, we're gonna fight this, you know, and she was that type of person. And then Uncle Eddie, just to give you an idea what kind of people they are, you know, wasn't just like my boy, let me help you, let me pray for you. He was like, No, come on, and moved me into his house. There you go. You understand? And got me up at seven o'clock in the morning and ministered to me every single day, you know, and showed you the love of Christ, you know, until you know, he was like, You'd have to just be the worst person in the world to just keep going, you know. Like you like, just give you like he goes the extra mile. Exactly what the Bible tells you to be is what he is. And he has a brother Johnny who's the same way, just you know, and Ham's getting there. He's he's getting there. Oh man.
SPEAKER_00No, that's what it's and you know, I I believe that's the biggest part of mystery is keeping your mouth shut for the most part. You know, it's like being in uh Missouri, it's a show me state. People's people's heard about it and heard about it and heard about it. You just show up and show them the Lord and be real. Like we we can all see like the phoniness. You know what I mean? Sure, everybody can see it. You ain't fooling nobody.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I mean that is so that's confirmation right there, man. The Lord kept my mouth shut a couple days ago. He really did. But uh, and uh I thought it was Missouri, but it was Minnesota. Yeah, Michigan or something, yeah. Um the Somali state. That's what uh so uh we're gonna end this out here, but and would you guys come back on air?
SPEAKER_01100%.
SPEAKER_03Yeah? Oh yeah. I'd like to make this a usual thing, man. This was a great, yeah, this was a good episode, I think.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_03When it's in the little doctrine with the Hannibal Elector stuff.
SPEAKER_00There's one thing that that is like it inspired me more than anything. When we were at the when we were at the show the other night, uh, first of all, I was like watching part of my life. And uh second of all, when you got up to sing, um and you were singing, and I was I was up I was up a little high. I could see your father, and man, oh man, I mean it just just just how proud he was of you. You know, and that's that's uh and you know, I was I was looking because my dad's gone and I was thinking, and I'll never get to do that, you know, because when my dad died, I was just coming out of another slump, you know what I mean, roller coaster deal. And then, you know, the Holy Spirit was like, No, you still gotta because I want the Lord to look at me that way.
SPEAKER_03And that's how He will look at you. And I'm gonna say my two favorite scriptures here now. All right. Sorry, I gotta say it. The God of peace who raised Christ from the dead, that good shepherd of the sheep, makes you perfect, and doing a good work to complete his will, him working through you, which is well pleasing in his sight. So God will work through you the good works to make you well pleasing in his sight. Amen. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_00And don't give up.
SPEAKER_02And and and your dad will look at you like that when you meet him in heaven. Exactly. And we're all in in the glory of Jesus. Amen. Your dad will look at you like that again.
SPEAKER_04We're surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses. He sees more than you think. I believe it.
SPEAKER_03That's beautiful. Leonard. Come on, man, give me something beautiful to land this out.
SPEAKER_01And I I I said it the other day, and you guys are kind of getting into it. Uh you know, I think from any seat to an altar, it's the hardest walk a person can make. Because you you're like you were talking about, you know, humbling yourself. But it's showing like, hey, there's something wrong here, you know, there's something going on. But to any ministers listening to this that feel like, man, I'm five years out, ten years out, twenty years out, thirty years out, forty years out, whatever it is, showing that walk. Because I said this the other day, an altar means a slaughtering place in Hebrew. It's it's it means slaughtering place, it's where a slaughtering takes place. You know, if we think about like a meat market or something, it's it's gruesome looking, or a butcher, it's it's gruesome, you know. There's blood being shed. There, you know, there's a stink to it, a smell to it. It's a sight to see, you know. The altar is the same way. There's things that need to be killed off. There's things that need to be put to the side. That's the hardest walk that a person can make. But humble yourself to make that walk. Humble yourself to make that walk. Lower yourself as a humble, lowly servant to make that walk. And and I'm not just meaning a church service or revival or a conference or a Wednesday night, whatever. But humble yourself in his presence, lower yourself, pick up your cross daily and follow him. Daily, pick up that repentance, that that crucifixion tool, and crucify yourself. Crucify the things that he already was crucified on the cross for, for us, that we can be crucified, put it to death. Because he already did the work on the cross for every sin before at that time and forever. It's it's all crucified. Amen.
SPEAKER_03You know, and I I mentioned humbling yourself, and yes, I think truthfully, you probably could be a little crafty with that, like, you know, because he gives grace to the humble, you know what I mean, and resist the proud. But shall we continue in sin? That grace may abound. Certainly not. Certainly not. God forbid. You know what I mean? God forbid. Use it as a stepping stone to step out of sin. You know, what did Jesus say to the to the woman? Go and sin no more. You know what I mean? So I I'm not saying that to be crafty to use that, you know, to lower yourself. And you're not gonna fool God. You know what I mean? God will not be mocked. You can't fool him. He knows the hairs on your head, he knows the numbers of the hairs in your head. So thank you, Leonard. Thank you, Chris. Uh, you guys have blessed me so much, and uh to talk with you uh uh uh on the phone daily, man, is uh uh is is an absolute blessing. You bless me every time I talk to you, and to finally sit down and hang out with you is uh a bucket list. Oh, yeah, it's a real treat. It is, it really is. Wanna go to work tomorrow? Uh serious clerk?
SPEAKER_01If you can get a job, man, you're the doors open.
SPEAKER_03Well, hey, if uh if you you know if you guys can, don't forget to uh message me and get the new rad line. It's pretty awesome. Uh it's raised after death, so it's rad. You know, rad. It's totally rad. Come on, Jimmy. What is it? Super rad. Yeah, super rad. All right. Thank you for watching. Don't forget to like, share, subscribe. TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, uh, soon-to-be Snapchat, Spotify, uh, iHeartRadio. We're gonna be on all the platforms. Thank you so much for watching. And if you thought that maybe you've slipped back, you've backslidden, I'd like you to say this prayer with me. Say, dear Jesus, forgive me of my sins. I accept you into my heart as my savior and then as my Lord. Lord Jesus, I thank you for what you did on the cross, and I accept everything that you have for me. In Jesus' name, amen. If you've said that and if you've confessed with your mouth and believe in your heart, you are saved. God bless you and don't give up.
