Season Two opens with a reminder that you’re not becoming ready — you are ready. In this episode, Sharon shares how God prepares us long before we step into purpose. Through Ecclesiastes and the story of Esther, she explores how every season — stretching, pruning, waiting — is intentional. If you’ve ever questioned whether you belong in the room God opened for you, this conversation will remind you that you were positioned on purpose. You are built for this season.

Welcome to Step Out Sis, the podcast where we grow, heal, and walk confidently in God's calling. I am your host, Sharon. And if this is your first time here, welcome. And to my sisters who have been with me since season one, thank you for being here. Season one was stretching. Season one was pruning. And season one was preparation. But season two, it's about purpose. And that's exactly what today's episode is about. Let me ask you a question. What if the season you're in right now is the one you've been prepared for all along? Because I believe women are listening right now who have been questioning the season they're in. Wondering if they're ready. Wondering if they have what it takes. So today, I want to remind you of something God placed on my heart. You are not becoming ready. You are ready. You are built for the season you're in. One thing I was reflecting on while preparing for this episode was the scripture in Ecclesiastics that says there is a time for everything. A time to plant, a time to uproot, a time to weep, a time to laugh, a time to mourn, and a time to dance. And what that scripture is really telling us is that life moves in seasons. But as I sat with that passage, something stood out to me. The Bible says there is a time for everything, but it doesn't say there's a time to shrink. It doesn't say there's a time to live in fear. It doesn't say there's a time to give up on the very thing God placed inside of you. There are seasons of stretching, there are seasons of pruning, and there are seasons where God is developing you in private. But shrinking who you are, shrinking your calling, shrinking your obedience to God, that was never part of the timing. So if you're listening to this and you've been questioning whether you're ready for the season you're in, sis, let me remind you of something. God doesn't place you in a season you're not built for. You're built for this season. Your life has already trained you for this. The stretching, the disappointment, the closed doors, the prayers you've prayed in private. That wasn't random. That was preparation. There were seasons when you questioned yourself. Seasons you wondered if you missed it. Seasons you survived quietly. Some seasons stretched you, some humbled you, and some almost broke you. But as we've learned in season one in Beauty and Brokenness, God doesn't waste anything. He uses the cracks, he uses the scars, he uses the story. And sis, this is not the season to hide. It's not the season to shrink, and it's definitely not the season to wait for permission. If God positions you there, step into it. Not for applause, not for validation, but to honor God with your obedience. Look at your life. Look at what you've survived. Look at the doors that closed. Look at the doors that opened. You're still here, and that means something. Say it quietly if you need to. I am built for this season. Before we step fully into purpose, we have to address something, our thinking. Too many times before we even enter the room, we disqualify ourselves. And God never did. There was a moment in my life when I walked into a room I prayed for. And the first thought I had was, do I belong here? I asked God for that opportunity. I prayed for that door. And when it opened, I almost shrank. But God reminded me, I didn't open that door. He did. And I wasn't there by accident. I was positioned. And maybe that's where you are right now. Standing in something you prayed for, but questioning if you're worthy of it. Sis, if God opened it, you belong there. Obedience has never required perfection, it requires trust. Esther wasn't lucky. She was positioned for such a time as this. She didn't stumble into that palace. Before the crown, there was preparation. Before the platform, there was a process. And the same God who ordered her steps is ordering yours. You are not behind, you are not overlooked, and you're not out of sequence. You are positioned. God prepares people before He promotes them. Sis, hear me. You will never know you're ready if you stay on the sidelines. Your past is not a liability. It is evidence. Evidence of grace. Evidence of mercy, evidence of growth. Let them underestimate you. There were seasons you underestimated yourself too, but not anymore. You are built for the season you're in. Not for the one you wish for, not for the one that looks easier, but this one. So don't shrink inside of it. Don't keep waiting to feel ready. If God trusted you with this season, you can trust yourself to walk in it. This week, take one bold step. Send the email, make the call, start the outline, have the conversation. Not a perfect step, but a bold one. You are built for this season. Now step out. If this episode confirms something in your spirit, don't just listen quietly. Follow Step Out Sis so you don't miss what God is unfolding in this season. Leave a review and tell me what this episode stirred in you. And share this with a woman who has been shrinking in rooms she prayed to enter. We are not just listening anymore. We are stepping out, sis. And before we close today's episode, I want to take just a moment to honor two very special people in my life. Today is my parents' 56th wedding anniversary. Thank you for showing me what love, commitment, and faithfulness looks like over a lifetime. Your marriage has been an amazing example of trusting God through every season, the good, the challenging, and everything in between. So today I want to say happy 56th anniversary. Your legacy of faith and family continues to bless generations. And I am so grateful to be your daughter. I love you both, and with that, I will see you next week on Step Out Sis.
