What if the biggest obstacle to your success isn't your strategy—but your subconscious beliefs?

In this fascinating conversation, Daniel Wood sits down with subconscious transformation expert Michelle Masters to explore how the hidden beliefs we develop in early childhood continue shaping our relationships, careers, finances, confidence, and everyday decisions.

Michelle explains why many people unknowingly sabotage their own success, how limiting beliefs are formed before the age of six, and why trying harder often isn't the solution.

Together, they discuss the neuroscience behind subconscious programming, emotional patterns, worthiness, manifestation, and how changing your internal wiring can dramatically change your external results.

If you've ever felt like you're working incredibly hard but still not getting the results you want, this episode may completely change how you think about personal growth.

In this episode, you'll discover:

✔ Why your subconscious beliefs are difficult to recognize

It's hard to see your subconscious beliefs because you're usually looking through them. Most of those were in place by age three, pretty much all of them by six. And most of them we wouldn't even recognize as beliefs. We would say, well, that's just the way life is. That's just the way business is. That's just the way money works. If you can't make money from doing nothing. Every time I do this, something bad happens. Okay, you have a belief then that if you succeed, bad things will like it's really not that subtle. Except we're just so used to looking through it that we don't see it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Welcome to the Swedish Wealth Institute podcast. I'm your host, Daniel Wood, and today I am joined by Michelle Masters. We're going to be talking subconscious mind, money, worthiness, resistance, and why we sometimes hold ourselves back from the things we apparently or supposedly want. I think this is really important. We are going to work on how do you change your subconscious so that you can get your conscious desires. There's usually a wiring underneath, at least according to Michelle, that's saying this is not safe. I'm not worthy, or I have to work hard to believe this, or money is the root of all evil. So in this conversation, we'll go into that. We'll figure out what it is that's standing in your way and how to overcome it so that you can live your mission. So please help me welcome Michelle Masters. You obviously work with a lot with the subconscious mind and helping people, how to kind of overcome us holding ourselves back in that. So what I wanted to ask was how do I see or how do I notice that my subconscious is holding me back from what I want? How do I know if that's happening?

SPEAKER_02

It's a great question because it's hard to see your subconscious beliefs because you're usually looking through them. So here's the way we usually notice is if things aren't working the way you want them to. Like, you know, if you've been, if you're clear there's something you want and it's not happening, then there's probably something in the way.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And and what is the because a part of it obviously is there's always a time delay, right? We want something and then we have to take action and then it takes time. So where how do I see the difference between like it just hasn't happened yet and I'm sabotaging myself so I'm not getting there.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. And by the way, I'm not entirely sure you have to take action.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. All right. See, that's that now we're getting interesting.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. If you're really clear that you want something and there's nothing in the way, like I have found uh because I've done a fair amount of this work. I have found if there's something I'm really clear I want, and there's uh the if it doesn't show up within a week without me trying, I get really curious about what's going on. Because quite often, if I get really clear within a day or two, I get an email, I get a message, somebody saying, Hey, would you like to do this thing that I got clear I wanted to do?

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_02

So it's um clarity is huge. First off, a lot of times we're not clear on what we want. We have a whole process of what we think we have to do to get what we want, but we're not really clear on what we actually want. We usually have a 10-year plan on what we think we have to do. So getting clear on what you actually want, that's a big part of it. And if you actually want it, that helps. Like desire plus clarity is incredibly uh effective. So like one of the stories I tell is the first time I went to Australia to teach on my own, because I'd been invited several years by different people uh in a row to go teach there. And then I thought, you know what, I'm just gonna go on my own without being invited. But that meant I was doing the marketing and not my strong suit. And I started to add up all, you know, how much it was gonna cost for the two of us to go to Australia for two weeks and you know, venues and uh staying and all the income we wouldn't be making because we weren't home. And it was like $25,000. And at the time that seemed like a lot of money to me. And I started to panic a little, and then I remembered what I do, right? And I thought, okay, how much would I like to make in profit? And I found a number that felt really good. And um, and then I forgot about it. Like I didn't think, okay, now how many people do I need to buy tickets? How many people do I need to contact? None of that. I did a webinar I'd already planned. We went when I came home, I tallied up all the results, and I was $106 over the amount I decided I wanted for profit. So it's not as necessary as we need as we think to take action. If we're inspired to take action, that's always good. But we really think that we have to do stuff for stuff to show up, and that's not always true. So let me just say that.

SPEAKER_00

Well, let's get in deeper into that. So so I am obviously I come from a sports background, you know, high achievement background, corporate life. We did stuff, right? You you take a thousand ground balls so that when the game starts, you'll catch the ground ball. So so for me, this is like obviously it's something I've been getting into more and more, but it's naturally it doesn't come naturally to me. So how does this actually look? How does how how does this work?

SPEAKER_02

How does this work? It's a good question. And I'm not exactly sure I know the mechanisms by which it works, although I do know it seems to be. We experience a a curated kind of version of how the world is. We think we there's an external objective reality out there.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And any physicist worth their salt will tell you there's no objective reality out there.

SPEAKER_00

No, because it's all even subatomic particles are affected by the observer.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah, yeah. So we're doing all this work to try and change something out there that's not out there.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_02

When we change what's inside, because that's what we're using, our our system, we've we we perceive a filtered reality, and what our system mostly uses to filter our reality is our beliefs, old beliefs and associations. And most of those were in place by age three, pretty much all of them by six. And most of them we wouldn't even recognize as beliefs. We would say, well, that's just the way life is, that's just the way business is, that's just the way money works. You can't make money, you know, from doing nothing. Right. When the beliefs change, however, so does the experience.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_02

So, and I, you know, I've been doing this work for 30 years or so. It's not that I haven't done things.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Yeah. I mean, you still traveled to Australia. If you hadn't booked your flight, you wouldn't have, you know, if you didn't buy your ticket, you wouldn't have been going.

SPEAKER_02

Right. But one of the most common things I hear from people after a workshop is I had all these big contracts and clients sign up, and you know, I don't know where they came from. Out of the blue, I got this huge new contract. This one guy said, I I couldn't understand why I was getting all these big contracts all of a sudden. And then he said he he looked back, went back and looked at what he worked on in the workshop. And these people were just calling him. Like he didn't know them. He didn't know how they found him. This other guy said I used to have to go find money and two days after $25,000 walked in the, you know, my my gym the two days after the workshop. So it's a lot less than we think we have to do. And uh and the stuff that works best is usually the stuff we feel like really called to do, like not like gotta do this.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And so one of the things like with salespeople, I would tell, you know, they would say, Well, you know, I gotta make a bunch of calls. I said, Well, would you rather talk to a hundred people to find the two people who want this, or would you rather just like talk to the two people?

unknown

Right.

SPEAKER_02

You know? So it can be a lot easier than we realize. Right. How it works, again, not exactly sure, but we do seem to be the ones generating our reality.

SPEAKER_00

So how do we do this in real like what did that what did that gentleman do in the workshop that allowed $25,000 to just walk into the gym?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, well, it was a series of things to both reveal the beliefs that are running and revise those, and also lay down neurological tracks to from where we are to where we want to go. Because the the thing about it is we tend to solve, we try to solve subconscious problems with conscious actions and understanding. So that if your brain were building, your conscious mind would be the penthouse. Your subconscious would be the basement. If you've got old faulty wiring in the basement and you send a team of electricians up to the penthouse to talk about it, okay. Eventually, though, somebody's got to go down into the basement and actually rewire stuff. So it's mostly the rewiring, the helping people get clear on what they want, rewiring the things that are in the way, like you know, you have to work hard, the things that say you're not enough. You you won't, you know, you have to work hard to deserve the good things, all these kind of blocks. And then there is a way of actually setting up like neurological train tracks that are designed to aim you more towards what you want without having to think about it. Because you because you may have noticed that when we have blocks, you don't have to think about them. You don't have to try and get them to fire up. They are automated for your connection. Yeah, they're there. They're waiting for me. They're there, exactly. They fire up whether you're trying to where you're trying to get them to or not. And so when you revise stuff to stuff that works for you, the same thing happens. Is that stuff is running without you having to try to get it to run? This just setting you up for more and more good things.

unknown

Right.

SPEAKER_00

And so, how do we do this work? So, how do we how do we find what needs to be reprogrammed? How do we reprogram it?

SPEAKER_02

That's an excellent question. It's the whole reason I have a job.

SPEAKER_00

So we're gonna ruin that now. We're just gonna give the secret now to all the millions of people who listen to this episode.

SPEAKER_02

No, I could give you the secret. You're still it's still really hard to do on your own.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Because it's really hard to be conscious of your own subconscious wiring. So that's why when I have so I've been doing this work for 30 years. When I have something up, I go see somebody else. I did that last week. Because I had been a while. And you know, when you Well, I do the same, right?

SPEAKER_00

I have multiple mentors who support me because I am, I mean, I'm I'm close to perfect, but you know, even so.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah, yeah. So um I had something that had come up that I had noticed, you know, was like, oh, this is kind of a thing. And so I worked with somebody last week. So it's really hard to see it from the outside. And so in the work that I've done, because I realize a lot of people are never, you know, maybe they'll come to a workshop with me, maybe they'll work with me. But um, like I wrote I wrote a book, which I'm selling I'm releasing an updated version August 18th. And what I put in there is we'll link to that in the show notes, by the way.

SPEAKER_00

So people can go grab that.

SPEAKER_02

What I put into there is some exercises that are designed to help people access the part of the brain where the patterning is stored and start to and start to revise it. And the change patterns are the ones I put in the book are fairly robust. Like you don't have to know anything about how it works for it to help. And I've had, I haven't recently, I I've been having some great conversations because of the book. And I realize a lot of people think this book is about visualization because I'm always telling people to imagine how things would look and sound and feel. And it's not really about visualization, it's about getting you into the sensory experience because that translates to the parts of the brain that that typically are holding the objections. It's the really old parts of the brain, they don't really understand English. It's like rep, it's uh they call it the reptile brain.

SPEAKER_00

So which which sensors uh like what what is it you're trying to activate there by visualizing?

SPEAKER_02

Right. So it's the things that keep us stuck are usually this reptile wiring. And it is it is like a so imagine telling a gecko to visualize, right? It it's but it this part of the brain, it can't tell the difference between something you remember, something you're actually seeing or hearing, and something you imagine. For it, it's all true and real and right now. So it's running old patterns, old pictures, sounds, and feelings from childhood, and it still thinks it's happening. This is why we have so many people with dysregulated nervous systems, because they have trauma loops running 24 hours a day, and their brain thinks it's right now. So this is a way, this is the language that this part of the brain understands pictures, sounds, feelings, smells, and tastes. So there's a way of accessing what the old pictures and sounds and feelings and meanings are that we've been running for decades, and then creating uh it's something called anchoring that actually makes the change. And when I'm working one-on-one, I can do it with a touch. I can ask something that there somebody, I could say to you, like, let's say you had some feelings of worthlessness, and we got to this course. Let's say it was a two, three-year-old version of you. That's really common. Okay. I was talking to a guy who I'm actually cool guy who um he his father died when he was seven. And he he he felt like it was because he was unlovable. This is a really common kid belief, right?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And so I said to him, it he said, I now know that's true. And I said, Yeah, so but what are the odds? Like if you step into the seven-year-old for a minute, just to access that kid's experience, and I said, What are the odds that if we looked up the cause of death on your father's death certificate, it would say cause of death, son was unlovable. And he laughed, right? Because it's ridiculous. If he'd been, if it'd been there with him in person, I would have grabbed that immediately because that that laugh is his Right, an anchor that anchored that and had him step into the seven-year-old and breathe. And what that does is it literally creates a new neural connection between the seven-year-old and that adult understanding of, oh my God, that's absurd.

SPEAKER_00

And that laughter.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, laughter is the adult part of the brain for sure, and it takes the authority out of things. So those kind of things anchored correctly can shift that entire experience one time.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

With a one-time anchor if it's done right.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Now that doesn't mean there aren't other beliefs that might not need to be shifted, but this is not a thing where I would have to have him go into that seven-year-old and keep affirming he's lovable. Like that would have taken care of that particular, like, oh, that's ridiculous. Of course it wasn't because I was unlovable.

SPEAKER_00

Right. Right? So the objection would have disappeared. Yes. Now you might still have to convince him that he's lovable. He's just not unlovable anymore.

SPEAKER_02

Exactly. And sometimes we have backup beliefs to keep things. But yeah, but that particular association redone. And so it is like rewriting.

SPEAKER_00

And I can imagine why that would be hard to do with yourself. Yes. To go and like, oh, look, I'm in a loop now. Let me anchor this.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, because you can't get out of the loop. I remember I was when I was a TA, when I was really new in my career, there was a study group that was happening, and this group got a little stuck because they had gotten access, they were working with this woman, she was in her 60s, she's a professional therapist. They'd gotten access to this experience when she was two years old, and she had this belief that she was the one holding the family together.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, wow.

SPEAKER_02

And so, and you know, this is a woman who's been a therapist, she's in her sixties. And so I said to her, I said, What are the odds that you're actually that you were actually holding the family together? And she looked me dead in the eyes and said, Oh, I'm sure I was. Like that's how deep the trance was, right? Right. So I had to say, I said to her, Okay, so in your practice, if you were full and somebody came to you, a couple who were having marital troubles, would you refer them to a two-year-old? And she went, and I grabbed that because that was the first time she came out of that trance for a minute, and like, oh no. So those trances are so deep we can't really see them.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Right. So so that's where that's the part where you need someone else to to come in. How how do you find the right person to help you with that?

SPEAKER_02

Oh Lord, I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

Because that's a very particular skill, right?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's a very particular skill.

SPEAKER_00

If I'm, you know, I'm in Sweden, so it's hard, like we could do it like this, but it's still hard for you to do the full out.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, there's there's not that many trained in uh so that is my uh over the next few years, after I get a few other things sorted, I want to start teaching again. Because I taught for 25 years. Um, but I do um I do want to leave trained people behind for when I go.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Um, because it's an incredibly useful skill. There's not many of them around. Uh but that is exactly why I wrote the book, because the the patterns in there can have a similar effect. You know, it's much more accessible. Right.

SPEAKER_00

So that that process. So how does a pattern like that look? Because it's so tangible when you give these examples. Right. Well, how how does that look if if I'm gonna read the book?

SPEAKER_02

Well, yeah, it depends on like I put uh there's like four or five different patterns in there. So for one of them, it has you going back to the origins of a childhood belief. And so there's sort of a semi-trancy inducing kind of thing to just, you know, let you let go of some of your conscious mind and go back to how old does it feel like you were when this thing started. And then I I I I created a variation on Robert Diltz's Robert Diltz, brilliant guy, created a lot of change patterns. Um and I got his permission. Uh I I wrote my own script for it, but I I got his permission to include it in the book. It his stuff. So he has a change pattern which is like a grid of nine blocks, like a sudoku or a tic-tac-toe grid. Right. And so what I did, I have the the younger when we get back to the younger version where it started, where whatever the belief is started, let's say it's a four-year-old. That four-year-old's in the center of the grid. And then in the other eight boxes, I give them references for resources. So think of somebody that you think of who's really wise, and that's going to be in one of those boxes. And so once we get back into that, you know, find out what that child is deciding it means, then we have someone, okay, now step out of that kid and step into that wise person. Imagine you're in their body.

SPEAKER_00

Now, this gets them out of the part of the brain they were in, because this resource comes from the living in that trauma.

SPEAKER_02

Right. It gets them out of the trauma and into the experience of this wise person who is a conscious that's accessing the conscious mind, actually. And even though it seems to be about the wise person, I mean, where is that actually living? It's still in our head, right? So it's a part of our noses.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, we're we're not talking to someone else right now.

SPEAKER_02

We're visualizing a wise person, but that wise person is living in our head. So it's a way to access that their wisdom. So you step into that wise person and notice what they would see looking at this kid.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_02

And then you immediately have them step back in. And if they do it fast enough, that feel that awareness is still loaded. And then I there's a whole lot of inst instructions about breathing, because the breathing helps to integrate that into the neurology of the parts of them that are really young. So there's a bunch of different change patterns.

SPEAKER_00

And so you do that through all eight of those boxes, then which essentially gives you eight different perspectives on this trauma.

SPEAKER_02

And yes, and even if only one get actually sticks, one is enough to now there be because the stuff that happens with trauma is or really difficult situations. Sometimes trauma It doesn't have to be traumatic in the sense of, you know, someone got beaten to death. But if a kid all of a sudden thinks that they're just worthless or unlovable, it doesn't matter how or the whole glue for the family, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Um that's a huge deal. And so that area becomes of uh where that memory is stored becomes encapsulated, is a technical term. Some people call it quarantined, but it gets like walled off and it's designed to be hard to update because it seemed so important at the time that the system thought, okay, we can't let this happen again.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_02

So if you so if you access, if you have somebody step into the part of them at that age that actually lights up that part of the neurology, you've got access now. And if you can then get something, uh use an anchor or step really quickly with that other resource loaded, now there's a neural connection between the conscious mind, the cortex, and that encapsulated area, now it can start to update. And that's a huge deal because it isn't your brain's.

SPEAKER_00

And that's why you use the eight, because you're not there to facilitate it. So now you get basically eight bytes at the apple to see which one actually gets through. Right.

SPEAKER_02

Right. If only one gets through, it's a big deal. If eight or six get through, then it starts opening up all kinds of avenues. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Right. And does it get easier like if if I get one to go through, is it is it now more open so it's easier for more to get through?

SPEAKER_02

Or that's a good question. You know, I don't know. I would guess probably, but I don't know for sure.

SPEAKER_00

That would be interesting to see if that if it's you know starts. Yeah. So so let's say we've we've worked on a ourselves. We've done a couple of these exercises. One thing first I wanted to ask, I realized, is is how, if I'm reading the book, how do I identify a limiting belief? I mean, that therapist would have never identified the limiting belief that she was the two-year-old that held everything together. That was just a fact. It wasn't a belief.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Well, I have in there some prompts, like finish this sentence. Right. You know? If I make more money than my father, just notice what your brain says, right? There's a bunch of different prompts that help people. But one of the things I also tell them is describe to me what will notice what happens in your life. What keeps happening. Things that you wouldn't necessarily believe. And you know, like you make a bunch of money and then something always happens. Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Then you've got a belief it's not okay to have a bunch of money, to make a bunch of money. Right. Right? Yeah. Or someone takes it from me. Okay. You have a belief then that people will take it from you.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_02

You know? Or every time I do this, something bad happens. Okay, you have a belief then that if you succeed bad things will happen like it's really not that subtle.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_02

Except we're just so used to looking through it that we don't see it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. And then and then how do we identify, you know, if that's the three year old or the five year old or the 10-year-old.

SPEAKER_02

Right. And this part is a, you know, you have to truss it up to fake because I have no idea what people are actually doing in their heads when they do these exercises. But there are instructions about notice the feeling because the feeling is it all starts with a feeling. All beliefs start with a feeling. Something happens and then we make an association. So like if you know kid is angry and like yells at his mom and his grandfather dies that day, they will make yeah they will make a it's because I got angry. Like it's just whatever's going on at the time because there's nothing in their head that can go, wait, those two things are not related.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

It's like whatever's happening either right before or after or at the same time they associate it like it's related and like it's their fault. It's just how kid brain the kids' brain works.

SPEAKER_00

How do they identify when that was?

SPEAKER_02

So in exercise like it'll say just uh notice the feeling of whatever it is like if it's a doubt about your self-worth notice the feeling of that doubt like the physical and emotional feeling. And then without thinking about it allow your body to move backwards in time. And so kind of have to sort at that point throw it up and trust them to do whatever they're going to do.

unknown

Right.

SPEAKER_00

And then that memory will kind of start to surface.

SPEAKER_02

Ideally yeah now not every it doesn't always happen for everybody. And sometimes they'll say well you know I just keep thinking about this thing in my 20 and I'll 20s and I'll say okay then work on it in your 20s because it's probably it's probably attached to the same neurology anyway.

SPEAKER_00

Right. But it's ideal if we can get it at the Right it might be that it's the same pattern that has happened five, six seven times and you just chose time number three instead of time number one.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Yeah. So my goal is always to get to time number one. It's just more effective but if all they have is this thing that happened when they were 14, it's like all right just use that. Just use that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. So there it's called a compelling reference experience. Something happens and the brain makes a ton of meaning and uh for kids that first three years they're making the most current research says a hundred was it a million or a hundred million. At least a million neural connections per second. Yeah. So they're really making everything up from scratch.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_02

In the first in the womb and in the first three years. And then at three years old they do a big pruning and they get rid of two thirds of their neurons but they keep the ones that are mostly in play. So that's what we've all got is the the third that got kept.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And so let's say we've gone back let's let's imagine that we've done this work and we've identified obviously not all the things all the living beliefs but maybe the most prevalent ones. What do we do now? Uh-huh and I know that is exactly what you were saying maybe I don't have to do anything but but like what happens now as as I kind of leave those behind well results vary you know but if it's a let's say it's a belief that you have to work hard to make money and that shifts.

SPEAKER_02

Because by the way so not true. If it were true like nurses high school teachers mothers would be the one percent right yeah and they'd be ruling the world.

SPEAKER_00

I mean kindergarten teachers always impress me. I mean I got three sons and having them the few hours after school is more than enough having whatever they got 20 kids per adult all day they are amazing.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Yeah there's people all over the world working so hard not making any money. And there's people making a ton of money not working that hard. So but a lot of the beliefs around worth or deserving because we're the only species as far as I can tell that questions our worth trees don't do it. Cats sure as heck don't do it. Right? They just don't so but we do we question our worth and so when we're not sure we're worthy and very few people are sure that they you know are worthy when we're not sure we're worthy we usually try to compensate with effort. Well then I will work hard. And then I can do how many times have you heard somebody say yeah it's a nice home but I worked hard for it right like that justifies it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah I earned this yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah I earned this yeah trees are not like out trying to earn sunshine right they're just growing. Yeah they're not like hey you know I photosynthesized 16 hours last night I'm just saying you know they're just they're just they reach for what they need and want and they don't apologize for it the way we do. So beliefs about worthiness when those change all of a sudden we're not having to do all the things we thought we had to do to get stu life to work out for us.

unknown

Right.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah and so how does it look because I'm I'm I'm curious as to like the practical let's say you know I'm I'm trying to build the Swedish wealth institute obviously and we're we want to get to you know 5,000 members in the community and then 1000 2000 and and so on. And obviously again my programming is very much let's go out and make it happen. Let's do these things and you know if I do what I can control then I will have a result that comes out of it. This is obviously a very different mindset. Yeah so how how would I merge that like I still want to hit my target how do I still keep you know us moving forward without me having to feel like all right I just I got to keep running.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Well the first thing we would do is is find out where that belief started that you got to keep running because that kind of wear you out right yep and and has a bit as for our first first call we were supposed to have and I had to reschedule.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. And you know when you're starting something there's always more work like when you're putting in a a garden the first year there's more work. I mean I'm not gonna lie about that but um typically things can be so much easier than we realize so much easier and help can show up in ways we would have never guessed. So just I mean so I've been doing this work 30 years. For the first 27 years I had no visible marketing like I just because it was just me. Right. And I was you know I was owner of the company the admin in theory the administrator of the company the product and the talent right so I had a lot of my plates so and yet it took me all over the world like things would show up. People would invite me to do things and you know I decided I wanted to get paid to go to Europe and so somebody called up and said would you like to go to Europe and teach these workshops? Well yes I would thank you very much. So I'm not saying we don't do anything that you sit there and watch Netflix. We don't come when we come here to engage with people. So yeah there is some action but if you are tired if you are feeling like you have to push and run all the time probably there's some beliefs that can get revised so things can flow easier and that people can find you without you having to track them down.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_02

Right more inspired action rather than inspired action is almost always golden but action that we kind of force ourselves into the the return on investment typically very low.

SPEAKER_00

Much lower than you would think I like that I like that all right we're gonna do our rapid fire round okay are you ready? I hope so all right so I'll ask five questions you just answer the first thing that comes to mind. Okay all right number one what is one hidden money block that people hold on to family loyalties what is one thing most people tend to as a mistake people tend to do around their nervous system that's freaked out what is one sign of subconscious resistance things are not flowing the way you want them to What is one habit we can do to re rewire us?

SPEAKER_02

Habits take a long time to rewire I mean doing it as a habit is the long way around I'm just telling you I would say okay here's one start every day asking for help and support from your dead ancestors and if you believe in guides and angels from those because you'll be we have to ask for there's so much help available but we have to ask I like that what is one definition of thriving when you're living for the joy of it nice all right so we're obviously going to link to the to the book in the show notes.

SPEAKER_00

How else can we connect with you? How can we learn more from you?

SPEAKER_02

Uh yeah you can go to my website Wired for magic you know I do online workshops and in-person workshops and would love to hear from people.

SPEAKER_00

We've got one coming up in August uh online money magic so you you can join from anywhere in the world awesome we'll link to the website so whenever you're listening to the episode you can go and see what is the latest thing that's that's on and connect with Michelle Michelle do you have any final words of wisdom for us I just want to say you know so many people are trying to become the best version of themselves and I just want you to know I I discovered this in a workshop with a guy I saw him as the universe sees him and you're already like box ticked already the best version of you will you change and grow?

SPEAKER_02

Yes but there's no version of you you have to get to you're already right now the best version of you that is going to evolve into more and more of you nice thank you Michelle thank you so much for joining us today I'll speak to you soon.

SPEAKER_00

Okay thank you Daniel thank you for joining us with this thank you for joining us for this episode with Michelle Masters for me the most important part my favorite part of this episode is where we break down the episode to figure out what can we implement, what actions can we take because we are action takers and how do we become one better as a result of listening to this episode. So we have five things that you should be looking at to integrate into your life to allow you to take that next step. So the first one is your subconscious is hard to see because you're looking through it. I thought this was an interesting point we often don't recognize our beliefs as beliefs. We just think this is how life works that's how money works this is how business works that's how relationships work. But if something you consciously want is not flowing there may be subconscious wiring underneath that is filtering your reality. Number two clarity and desire are more powerful than people realize. So Michelle shared that there's a different way of looking at manifestation and action it's not that action doesn't matter it's that we usually skip getting clear on what we actually want. It doesn't mean you have to plan out every step but you need to know where it is you are going. Because if you don't know where you're going it doesn't matter how hard you run. Number three you cannot solve some conscious wiring with only conscious effort. This was one of my favorite metaphors for the episode it's the faulty wiring in the basement sending electricians to the penthouse and that won't fix it. In the same way if the pattern is subconscious just thinking harder planning harder forcing yourself to take action won't solve the real problem you got to get to the pattern and work on it. Number four worthiness blocks often turn into over effort. Trees are not trying to earn sunshine cats are not trying to justify their existence but humans we often feel like we need to we need to work harder prove more earn more or struggle more before we feel worthy to receive if we can change that maybe you don't need to push so hard to get the results number five inspired action is very different from forced action. The distinction is very clear in a lot of ambitious people there is action that makes you feel alive, clear, natural and then there's action that comes from fear, pressure and I have to keep running or all falls apart. Michelle pointed to the fact that the forced action comes from a fear and doesn't give the same results as inspired action. So I want you to ask yourself now is what actions can I take because you are an action taker and how can I use this to become 1% better today? I want to give you two weeks free of two week free trial to the Swedish Wealth Institute journey where you get where we help you identify where are you now where are you going and what is your number one limiting factor so that we can help you work on how to improve so that you may live your mission. And it's not that you are not awesome of course it's we're going to work on becoming more you. We have courses from Jack Camfield, Dr. John Di Martini, Jay Abraham and many more inspired me. In the episode we talk about what he calls if there then distortion it's the belief that if I get there, if I reach that goal then I will be okay. So we talked about his journey of being you know going from a leaks lead singer of a rock band to moving to Jerusalem, studying spirituality and going deep into Jewish mysticism and eventually coming to this very powerful question what if the peace we are looking for is not found by controlling life but by changing our relationship to what is happening? I hope I see you in that episode. It is incredibly powerful. My name is Daniel Wood this is the Swedish Wealth Institute podcast and thank you for joining us
