The five most vicious, most violent scenes in gangster movies, according to me, with one honorary mention. Here's what I want you to do after you're done watching this video. Please leave a comment. Let me know if I forgot anything. Let me know what you think should be uh a scene that should be included as a violent scene of gangster movies. Well, let's move on to the obvious, okay? First movie includes two scenes. Casino. Casino is a brutal violent movie to watch. But obviously, the first scene you got to talk about is the baseball bat scene at the end when the bosses are sick of Joe Pesci and he is just screwed up Las Vegas, and Remo gives the order to take him out, and his crew turns on him and they beat him and his brother to death with aluminum baseball bats. It's so bad that they actually bury him when they're still alive, breathing. They make Joe Pesci watch his brother get beat to death. There's actually a scene where Frank Vincent is using two baseball bats at the same time, beating him to death. Vicious scene. That's definitely number one on this list. Now, same movie. Moving to number two, the vice scene. Okay. Tony Dogs is this new tough guy who comes into town, decides he's going to take on Remo, shoots up one of his bars, kills a waitress. Remo freaks out, tells Joe Pesci he wants the names of everybody who is involved. And I don't care what you have to do to get it. They kidnap this guy, they torture him for two days and two nights. He's not giving up anybody. So Joe Pesci decides he's gonna stick his head in his vice. You see him tightening up the vice, you see his head being crushed, and then you see his eye pop out of his head before he actually confesses to who it was that he was working for. It is the most brutal scene that you could ever see in a movie. It's amazing. The Godfather. This is number three. The scene where Sonny gets killed, James Kahn. He's driving in the car, he's at the toll booth, and all of a sudden, I think at least seven guys with Tommy Guns come out, start riddling him with bullets in the car, gets out of the car, and they are just massacring him with bullets, even so bad that when he's on the floor dead, they still are putting bullets in him. It was an iconic scene. This scene was so iconic that it was actually used again. The entire scene was ripped off in the movie Training Day with Denzel Washington. If you remember the final scene, it literally is the same exact scene. The Russians take him out with several machine guns, gets out of the car, they're riddling number bullets. It's the same exact scene. That's how iconic that scene was that other movies use that same scene. You knew this one was coming. Scarface, the chainsaw scene, the drug deal that went bad. Oh, they have his brother, who he says is his brother, handcuffed and tied in the shower, and they are just cutting them to pieces with that chainsaw, and they're gonna do the same thing to Al Pacino. He's held there by gunpoint by that crazy woman with that machine gun. But as you know, he gets out of it. His friends bail him out, and he gets revenge right in the middle of the street and puts a bullet right in his head. But that chainsaw scene, gruesome. Most people have to hide their ears on that one. Number five, Reservoir Dogs. The ear cutting scene. Oh, that was a crazy scene. It is a movie that's based on a jewelry heist gone wrong. Michael Madsen plays a crazy sicko, and they take a cop hostage, tie him up, they have him in this uh garage, and they leave Michael Madsen alone with him. And Michael Madsen decides that he's just gonna torture him for the hell of it. And it is really funny, at the same time, gruesome. He puts on some music, he starts dancing, he takes a razor, he cuts the cop's ear off, and then he starts actually talking into the ear. And it's funny but gruesome at the same time. And you actually see him with no ear, bleeding profusely. It is a star-studded movie. I think it's one of Quentin Tarantino's uh best movies. It's actually his first movie. Harvey Kaitel is in that movie. It is worth a watch if you haven't seen it. I believe it came out in '91 or '92. Go check it out. Reservoir Dogs. Honorary mention. We are going way, way, way back, 1947, A Kiss of Death with Richard Whitmark and Victor Mature. This movie was about a jewel thief, Victor Mature, who gets arrested, isn't turning state's evidence, not snitching whatsoever. But then his wife dies while he's in jail. His kids go into an orphanage and he decides he has no choice to help his kids. He's gonna have to turn state's evidence and he starts ratting. Anyway, when we the gangsters find out that he starts ratting, Richard Ridmark goes looking for him. Richard Woodmark played a psychopath, a great psychopath. He had this sinister laugh. Today he would definitely be casted for the Joker with the laugh he had. But this one scene, now you have to remember this is 1947. Nobody ever saw anything like this. Today, it might be not as brutal for today's standards, but in 1947, this had theater goers shook. He's looking for him. He goes to his mother's house, he finds his mother. His mother is handicapped, she is in a wheelchair, she cannot walk. She refuses to give up her son. So Richard Whitmark takes an electrical cord, ties her up to the chair, and then throws her down a flight of stairs. And even today, when you watch it, you're still like, ooh, that's pure evil, man. Just pure evil. Anyway, I want you to like and comment. Let me know if I left anything out. Let me know what you think. What's the most vicious scenes you ever seen in a gangster movie? And hit that like and subscribe button. All right, I'm John Livia, serious outcast. Later. Peace.
