Serious Outcast with your host, John Livia. Now, as you guys know, on Friday, John Light was arrested again for several charges that we will get into. But before we get started, please hit that like bell, hit that notification bell, hit that subscribe bell, and share this post if you like it. Share this content if you like it. Because I pump out a ton of content when it comes to organized crime, when it comes to gang violence, when it comes to bankers, when it comes to adult entertainers, all kinds of interesting content. That's why it's called Serious Outcast. But beforehand, I want to actually tell you who this uh episode is brought to you by. You guys know that I am huge into bodybuilding and fitness. And you guys know I have a whole other separate channel dedicated to bodybuilding and fitness. Okay. I'm going to show you the supplements that I use that really help me in the gym and help me repair muscle and help me get ready for the gym. And now that supplement company called Nutrifit is now sponsoring my channels, which I am very, very, very honored and proud of. So here it is. I'm just going to show you right now. It is Nutrifit, N-U-T-R-I-F-I-T-T.com. Okay. For people that are listening, they have tremendous products. They have several different types of pre-workouts. Okay. They have several types of protein. They have electrolytes. They have sleep aid. They have creatine. They have uh testosterone boosters. They have uh dieting formulas. I mean, it is just a tremendous amino acids. It is just a tremendous, tremendous supplement company. Okay. And I use the majority of their products, right? But here's the thing. You guys know one of my good friends that's always on my channel, Lee Priest. NutraFit has partnered with Lee Priest, and now he has his own supplement line called Resurrection. And the first item out on the Resurrection Lee Priest line is called Crucifix, is a pre-workout. I use pre-I use Crucifix. I am waiting for my new bottle because I'm done using it. I'm waiting for my new bottle to come. Okay. It really tastes good. It is a well-balanced, scientific, uh-filled pre-workout. One of the great things I love about it is that it actually has electrolytes in it because it has plenty of caffeine, and we know that caffeine actually dehydrates you, but the electrolytes will counteraffect that. Now, if you are a caffeine nut, then one scoop of this and you'll be okay for before the gym, or if you just want to wake up in the morning. If you are not a caffeine person, a half a scoop is plenty. That's what I use. A half a scoop is plenty. But here's the best part: any item on this website, including Crucifix, you put a discount code priest P-R-I-E-S-T, and you get 20% off every item. So let's say you want to buy Crucifix, you get 20% off. You use the discount code Priest P-R-I-E-S T, and then you use a half a scoop before you go to the gym or to wake up in the morning. That is gonna last you like at least two months. It is the best bang for your buck. And I'm not fucking blowing smoke up your guys' asses, okay? It is a great taste and great pre-workout. All right. So go check it out. Nutrafit, n-t-r-i, f I t t dot com. Discount code priest P-R-I-E-S-T. Now, let's get to the topic at hand. Here we go. John Light, ex-Gambino, hitman, turned jersey, councilman, busted on loan shark rap. All right, a little bit about John's background. Uh John Light is and was a legitimate tough guy. He was an enforcer for Gotti Jr. and Gotti Sr. when he was alive. He has been in that life since middle school. And I'm not kidding. It's been almost his entire life. He actually got arrested for murder, several murders. He uh uh did uh he was on the run in Brazil for a couple of years. They caught up to him. He was arrested. He did two years in jail in Brazil, and then he was extradited back to the United States. Um, this was during the uh early 2000s, and people started turning sturts evidence, and he decided he was going to turn state's evidence, otherwise, he was gonna run in jail for the rest of his life. Whether you agree with that or not, um, that's a what happened. He gets out of prison, he hits rock bottom, but he finds social media, and John Elite is a larger-than-life character. Okay, he loves being in the spotlight, loves it, loves being on social media. Now, I have had a relationship with John. I don't know him very well, but I know him good enough. I mean, I'm not his brother, but we've met, we've gone to dinner together, he's helped me on an occasion. When I first started my podcast, uh, we had a mutual friend named Matt Granagh. Matt Granah has since passed. Uh, Larry Mazza introduced me to Matt. Matt knew John. And at the time, John had a show with Michael Dowd. And they let me come on the show for free. And this was right after he did the PBD podcast and he did he did the DJ Vlad podcast. So he was hotter than hot. So he did me a favor. He let me come on the show, and we chopped it up for like an hour, hour and a half. He didn't charge me anything. And we even went out to dinner afterwards, and I didn't have to pay a dime. All right. I mean, as far as my relationship goes with John, I have nothing but good things to say. Now, that being said, that doesn't mean that he hasn't had a very violent and a very unstable past. Okay? Let's just read what this article says. English Town's most controversial councilman. That's right, he was an actual councilman in Englishtown, New Jersey, is back in the headlines. John Elight, 63 years old, former Gambito in force, appointed to the borough council last year, was arrested on June 19th on state loan shocking related charges. Authorities say he made loans at illegally high interest rates and leaned on threats and other coercive tactics to get paid back. A development that has rattled the small Monmouth County borough where he is now serves in public office. All right. First of all, I doubt he's serving in public office anymore because he is arrested without bail. From what I know, he is arrested on uh second degree charges and it is without bail. Um okay, we're gonna keep going. According to the New York Post, the New Jersey Attorney General's office has charged Elite with extortion, corporate misconduct, usury, usury is just loan stalking, terroristic threats. Uh the post reports that the same probe also led to the arrest of 67-year-old Stephen Le Crotondo of Bridgewater, who was accused of conspiring to receive interest payments that exceeded state limits. Prosecutors say an entertainment company was used to promote or facilitate the lending and collection activity at the heart of the case. Elite's uh past is well documented. Well tied to the Gambino crew, pleaded guilty to racketeering, murder-related counts in 2011, received a 10-year sentence before he was being released. And after cooperating with federal investigators, the Guardian had tracked his pivot into public life, which has included books, a podcast, speaking engagements, as well as his highly disputed uh appointment to English town council in 2025. His court history and personal biography are summarized in Wikipedia. Um let's get rid of this and then I will uh come back. Okay. Let me give you my opinion. Here's what I think happens to these guys when they come out of jail. First of all, there's very small Locosa notion to go to, and once you saw once you turn state's evidence, what's left, they're not gonna trust you. Okay. I think they have intentions of being a better person, of being a like 100% legit citizen. But at the end of the day, this is who they are, and I think the temptation of making money and the highs of making money, because believe me, when you make a lot of money and you don't have to pay taxes on it, and you're not busting your ass, and you're not um yeah, you know, it is a multiple stream of income that you can use besides social media and his counselment position and whatever businesses he has going on and book deals. It's hard to turn away when you are that kind of person. Now, on the grand scheme of things, loan shocking is usury, whatever you want to call it, is kind of like at the bottom level of uh gangster operated criminal activity. Uh, you come to me, you need money, I lend you money, I charge you interest, okay? And you pay me back with interest. That's basically what happens. Now apparently this person or persons did not pay him back in timely fashion, and he resorted back to his old ways. I mean, he is a violent guy. And his first impulse is I'll I'll kill you. I will what do you mean? I will beat the show beat. Let me tell you guys a story. After I was on his podcast, we went to dinner. It was me, him, Michael Dowd, and a friend of mine had moved to Florida he met us. And I was sitting next to him, and we were chopping it up. We were having a few drinks, we were chopping it up. And he told me this story. Okay? Now think about this story, okay? No, he was very young. He is now 63 years old. This was he was probably in his late 50s at this point when we were talking 57, 58, give or take, because this is 2020, 2021. He was telling me this story. Uh he had to execute or you know, assassin, assassinate uh somebody that Gotti Sr. wanted gone. And he was a very young man at the time. Okay, maybe 19, 20 years old. And he stayed it outside, he was outside his house. He waited for the guy outside his house. He had his friend's car, they had a license place covered up, and it was a snowstorm. And he waited for him. Finally, a guy shows up, gets out of the car. I think he shoots him either seven or nine times. Okay? His face and his body falls into the snow. He pulls out a knife. Now he's telling me this, okay? We're eating dinner and he's telling me this. He pulls out a knife and he's gonna slit this guy's throat to make sure he's dead. Somebody hears the commotion comes out of the house, a neighbor and yells and screams, what are you guys doing? What the hell? He points the gun at the guy and he says, Get back in your fucking house. And he jumps in the car and flees with his friend. And he thinks, hey, look, I shot this guy, whatever, seven, eight, nine times. He's gotta be dead. Well, anyway, the cold from the snow actually saved him. The person that came out of the house called 911. This guy was driven to the ambulance and he survived. So if that man didn't come out of that house, he would have slit his throat. And he's telling me this, he's telling me this very nonchalantly. You know, like he's not saying it like he is sorry he did it, he's not saying it like uh he's repented. He's basically bragging about it, okay? He liked being a gangster. My opinion is the large majority of these guys that get out of prison and turn states evidence don't completely change their ways, even though they're trying. Because at the end of the day, it is really difficult to change that embedded character that's in you. I don't believe Sammy Gravano has changed. I don't believe John, I believe John tried and um saw an opportunity to make extra money and he took it and got caught. I don't believe Anthony Arleata has changed. I don't believe any of the the only guy that I truly believe that completely changed was Michael Frances. That's it. That's the only guy that I believe completely changed. Okay. Now, here's the other thing. Because John is this larger than life character and loves to be on social media and loves to beef with people so that he is relevant on social media. I mean, he's beefed with Sammy Davis, Sammy Davis is something Jesus Christ. He's beef, he's beefed with Sammy Gravano, he's beefed with his last last beef was with Fat Joe, he's beefed with um Jeff Nadu from the sit-down. I mean, you name it, right? His name is always popping up, and then he becomes a councilman, and then it's all over the news. My God, ex uh Gambino enforcer is on a councilman, and then he decides that uh he's going to start uh pushing money in the street again. Well, he made himself a target, and I like John. I have nothing against him. He helped me when I needed help, but I have to speak the truth. Okay, he made himself a target. Most of these guys that do this today, that do the loan sharking, that do the gambling, that are still within organized crime, it is a very small uh group of guys. There are still five families. I cover it all the time on my show, but they keep a very, very low profile. No more track suits, no more pinky rings, no more fancy cars, no more social clubs. The majority of the time they operate out of a legitimate business, whether it's a restaurant or a used car lot or a a car wash or whatever you could possibly think of. Okay. I think it is easier said than done for these guys that want to come out. And I think at the end of the day, this is who they are, and it's very difficult for them to change. And I don't, I believe 95% of them don't change. I believe they try. Now, John has done some really good things, and I believe that he was sincere in trying to do these good things. So let me just bring this up. There's a couple of his daughter had uh passed, okay? And his daughter had passed from a fentanyl overdose, and it was devastating to him and his entire family, okay? And he did a lot of work for the Black Poster Project. And the Black Poster Project exists to honor lives lost to any form of substance uh use and to transform grief into awareness, prevention, and hope. And he's been very outspoken during the Biden administration when fentanyl was running rampant in the streets. I mean, he also did uh he also did a lot of uh volunteer work for uh Tunnels to Towers, which is a nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring first responders and fallen military service members by supporting their families and providing housing and resources to injured heroes. Now, okay. Look, I'm not justifying what he's doing. Okay, Gene Borello says that the charges are bullshit. Do I believe that he really was involved in extortion and involved in usury, just blowsharking and making threats? Yes, I believe that. Okay. Do I believe that the New Jersey United States government is going to make an example out of him because he's a larger-n-life character and he's a former Gambino enforcer? 100%. He is locked up on second-degree charges without bail. That's unheard of. Okay, you're talking about a guy who lent money to somebody, and that guy has to pay him back in interest. And then when he didn't pay him it back, he cursed Adam. He threatened him. Okay. But they they love making an example out of organized crime figures because it brings a lot of clout to law enforcement, to the government. They love it. I'm not justifying what John did. All I'm saying is he is a gangster at heart. Period. End of story. I have a friend that grew up with him. We work together now. And when I told him that he was coming on my podcast, and I went on his, his exact words were to me, John Elite used to run that neighborhood. That's what he told me. Gene Borello got re-arrested. Sammy the Bull got re-arrested. Plenty of guys, these guys get re-arrested. If I had to guess, I would say this guy's gonna get three to five years. If I had to guess, maybe closer to five. You know, when you're a young man and you're in your 30s, five years is nothing. When you're 63 and you come out and you're 68 and you're close to 70, that's very difficult to deal with at that age. But look, I wish the guy nothing but the best. Okay, I just I just want to see good things for these guys. I can't explain to you completely why he did what he did, except for that's what he is internally. That's what I truly believe. That's him. I don't think he's a 100% changed man. He has not been violent at all since he's come out of prison. He has done loan sharking and extortion. Again, more times than not, that is a slap on the wrist because but because he is who he is, New Jersey's gonna make an example out of him. Especially that he was a councilman. All right. If you like what I gotta say, hit that subscribe button, hit that notification bell, stick with me because we got a lot more content coming up.
