Just two besties on a pod bringing their existential talks to the internet. This cast is a conversational deep dive into the paralleling lives and the nuanced experiences of Lester Jay, an accomplished vocal artist and “aspiring adult” and Leslie SR Beebe, actress and aspiring comedian. Both Black, queer and here hoping to become your new favorite uncle and auntie. But since these conversations are strictly reflections, realizations of personal growth and life lessons, it is just that, THIER experiences… maybe inspire and give some good takeaways, but not meant to provide advice or solutions for anyone else. So we not claiming y’all.

Leslie SR Beebe

Leslie (she/her) is an aspiring stand up comedian who has always been a fan of theater, especially vaudevillian and comedic theatre, drawing inspiration from Lucille Ball, Moms Mabley, Robin Williams and several other classic comics who made physical comedy and character work into an art-form. She formally began at SecondCity completing the writing and improv programs and had several of her written sketches performed on stage, as well as featured in Sketch Fest 2020 at Stage773. She has also appeared in the independent short film "Who's Waldo" (2021), is an active member of the playwrights group at the Theater of Western Springs, performed solo and group improv shows for private functions and residents at assisted living facilities, and has also toured with the Mosaic Players' in its production of "5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche".
