Week two is finally done. Yeah, week two. Uh week two went a lot more smoothly. I liked it. Than uh week one. I feel like uh a lot of a lot of uh teams were were getting into their groove. Yeah. I know my team went through like two sets of owners in the first fucking week. Four GMs. Yeah. Um, so you know, I think I think we're on the right path to s to greatness, dude. That's right. I've never done power rankings before. Bro, we can power rank it however the fuck you want. How are you into it? We can we can go bottom to top. All right. At the bottom, Seattle Kraken. At the bottom is a Seattle Kraken. Seattle Kraken. Six wins, 15 losses in two weeks. Yeah. Um, I'm on the Seattle Kraken. Yeah, I know. Um, we got a score. We got a score. That's how you got that. That's how you win games, yeah. Yeah, I mean, and it if you look at the stats, if you look at the hits, the blocks, you know, the the goalie, we have a tough defense. Now, and I'm not just saying that because I play defense, but we have a really tough defense. Sometimes our passing is missing. Right, right. And we keep it on our side of the ice a lot, and um, we get scored on a lot, and we're not bouncing back. Yeah. So uh I I would look for the Kraken to make a uh move here in the near near future. Uh hopefully add some depth. Um Okay. Yeah, if we hit if we can get our top line in all at all at the same time, I think that we'd be okay. But it's definitely been some plug and play. It doesn't help that uh Showtime on Sundays spends all three games in the booth. Didn't he play in uh game three this last year? He did not. Okay, because I noticed that the stream had ended by the time I was done with game two. Yeah, he thought he had to. Okay. We had a yeah, that's a whole nother thing. Uh at number nine, not a surprise to be honest. The Winnipeg Jets. Not a surprise? No. No. I'll be honest, I can't name one person on the Winnipeg Jets. Yeah. Yeah. Uh, you got the maple leafs right above them. Yeah, to be honest, after week one, I thought Toronto was gonna be where you are. Yeah. Yeah. No, uh agreed. Agreed. Um in Thursday's game, if I'm not mistaken, last week. Right. Was that their first win? Yeah, it might have been their first win. Because they only had one win last week, so yeah. Um, number seven. Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh, yep. Um not surprised. Um as we like to say, they are um they're in shambles right now. We couldn't beat them. Beat them once last night or on Sunday, but yeah, definitely in shambles. Uh, you got the Blackhawks still sitting there steady in the middle. I mean, yeah. I think last week they were a little higher, but right there where we thought they'd be. Here we go. Here's what you want to hear. Here's what I want to hear. Here's what it is. Let's get to the top five. Top five. All right. Top five, baby. Boston Bruins. Boston, baby. Tell me what y'all are doing right. So we had issues with management and uh on the owner side and everything, and that has since been dealt with. And we've got a I think we've got a good group of guys in there now as the uh owner GM and AGM. And uh we've got a good set of guys that are showing up. Right. And our main issue was not having uh somebody in the net, somebody designated in the net, and we were having to pull one of our forwards to be in a in the net. Oh, okay. So once we finally like got the ability to switch around uh the office side, we were able to get that goalie that we needed. So we got the goalie, and now we've got our proper forwards up there. Right. And I've been playing a decent amount of right wing, right? Um, getting some goals here and there. I'm nowhere near as good as our other guys, but uh they've they've got a really good flow to them, and they're being able they're they're able to set up plays and just get pucks in that, dude. Yeah. Yeah, no, I agree. I mean, we went, what was it, sat Saturday and Sunday, 3-0? I will say this. Um we played that match with y'all, and uh, you scored that goal with two seconds left. Two seconds left. Yeah, that was two fucking seconds left, and I was dude. That's I'll be honest, that sucked the wind out of our sails for the rest of the night. That mic was fucking quiet for the rest of the night. I'll be honest. You you single-handedly shut us down that night. Just with that, with that goal right there, it just gone. That's what I'm aiming to do. I'm aiming, I'm doing my best to shut people down. I'm not the best right wing. Uh these these these guys that we're playing with have got so much more skill than I've got, but I'm but I'm learning and I'm I'm I'm watching them and I'm watching their streams when I'm not playing, and I'm seeing what they're doing, and I'm trying to mimic that the best the best that I can, and I'm trying to set up shit. You could be like uh Simba and just press LT the whole time. Oh shit. Just fucking with you, Simba. Um, but yeah, dude, like I want to say like last night I had a decent amount of assists. Oh yeah. Um, you know, just being able to like, you know, when we played before this, I was always just trying to like go to the net and whatever. Yeah. Try and just get a shot in there. Yep. I'm doing my best now to try and pass the puck off when I see that like somebody else can score, and I might not get that goal, but you know, it's for the team. Yeah, I still get that point. All right, number four. I uh I I will say that these guys, the GM over there is in the running for GM of the year. They traded half their team away and went 14 games in a row. 14 fucking games in a row. They're one game back from being in the top spot. Yeah. And that's the blue jackets. I give it some them motherfuckers have been in my fucking inbox every day. You see us, you see us, you see us, and I fucking see y'all. And and it's impressive. It's it's very impressive. They won they lost one game the entire weekend. Yeah, dude. One fucking game the entire weekend. I mean, you you can see you can see the jump from from Boston to the Blue Jackets, 12 and 10 for Boston, 16 and 7 for the Blue Jackets. Like, you can see how while Boston is on the up, right? We haven't met that elite status yet. Right. So top four, I would say, are definitely in the elite status when it comes to this season so far. Well, our number three, we had at number one last week. I thought they were gonna stay there, I'll be honest. And that's the Carolina Hurricanes. Yeah. They went 0-3 on Sunday. Yeah, with Boston beating them game one. Yeah. Took the sales out of that shit, too. Yeah. Um definitely didn't see Carolina dropping from the top spot. Uh, I don't even I don't even know what to say about it. But I mean they have a really good fucking team. They really do. And, you know, things can honestly in the next couple days can change. You know, we've got 12 games coming up starting Thursday. And they can win, they could win all fucking 12. They can win all 12. And who the fuck's gonna win after that? Right. So I mean I'm sorry. To be honest, between between the the jump that Columbus made to win 14 games, to only lose one game for the weekend, and still be a game behind Carolina. Yeah. And behind Edmonton and behind Colorado, those three teams are top-tier teams that the league has to watch out for. Oh, yeah. And if I'm not mistaken, I'm pretty sure Colorado was our game three on Sunday, and we beat them. So I have them at the top spot. Uh what I'm getting at with this is I still think, with the exception of a couple teams, this is anybody's season. Oh, bitch, we could win 12 in a row and fucking be right there again. No, um, no, but I mean, we're we're still so early on in the season that like, you know, it it's it's hard to say you're gonna win the cup or that you're gonna win the cup. You know what I'm saying? Uh I still think we've got a lot of time, and I'm excited as fuck to see where we end up. Yeah. So you got Edmonton at number two, Colorado at number one. They're they're quietly staying at the top. Now, I know you're probably a little kind of excited that Colorado's at the top because that's your personal favorite team. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, and there's some good guys over there. Yeah. You know, I like I said, they stay out of the headlines. Them in Edmonton, you don't see them in there arguing. You don't you don't hear about their GM or their owner. You don't they don't have players wanting to leave. I mean, fuck uh Carolina. Uh Simba got suspended because he he asked to get out of there. That's why he got suspended. He was asking to get out? Yeah. Damn. Yeah, they beat us by one fucking point, and he wanted to be gone. He probably was on that right side with me. He plays left wing, and I was shutting him the fuck down. I'll be honest. I was playing lights out. I was playing lights out this fucking weekend. Um, yeah, that's the power rankings. Um I would like to attract your attention to the um, I want to go over the top 10 defensive players. Uh, this is off of hits, blocks. Um, I put it at a 10-game minimum. Had to play 10 games to be on this list. If you're not on this list, listen, I use a program not going through 150 plus people to figure out what position you play or this, that, and the third. So I narrowed it down to if you scored more than fucking 24 fucking goals, you're not up here. You're not a defenseman. You're a fucking goal scorer. Yeah, so you'll see these guys on these lists. They're not fucking goal scorers, they are defensive-minded, defensive-minded people. Okay. All right. I'm with it. Uh, so um, I mean, the one that stands out the most is gonna be is Mike. Ninj Ninja Ninj Ninj Mike. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, he's the defender over there at uh Avalanche. I played with him a couple of times. He's he's light on, man. He's got 73 hits, 23 blocks. I mean, he's fucking doing his thing. Oh, yeah. Um, you got Winnipeg's KG OD7, 63 and 14. At number three, you got Dom on your team. Yeah, Donnie. And at number one for week two of the top 10 scores is Drizzy Rose 23 from Edmonton with 43, 49 goals and 36 assists. Check this out, though. Looking at this, where the fuck are the Colorado players? They're number one in the power ranking because they have not one person on the top scoring. That means they're fucking passing that shit around. They're passing that scoring around. Yeah, I mean that's a scary team. Yeah. Uh I mean, not only that, like depending on your roster and everything, if you're switching everything up and you've got so many different players playing per night. Yeah. Yeah. I mean they got depth then. Yeah, you can spread that shit out. And if you got that many people making that many wins, that's intimidating as fuck. Alright, let's go over the goals. The goalies. Goalies. Um, and then we're gonna get to our special guests, take a break, and then we're gonna get to our special guest. All right. Alright. This is the goalies. He's played 15 games, 0.739 save percentage, only 5.64 games, uh goals against 5 9 record, zero shutout. And then you got G Monster. G Monster from Pittsburgh. 10 games played. 0.796 save percentage. 5.67 games against five. I mean goals against five and five zero shoutouts. Then we got to we get to the top two studs. These are the ones. These are the ones. I mean, it makes sense when you look at the team. It's uh Knight Leal, whatever the fuck that is uh from the Blue Jackets. 17 games played. It's a good amount of games. Uh 0.1812 save percentage. I mean 3.45 goals against 12 and 5, two shutouts. Hell yeah. A fucking stud. What even fucking better than that? Is this a stupid bastard at number one? From Carolina. From Carolina. 15 games played. 0.853% save percentage. Only two point three two point nine three goals against per game. 11 and 4 win loss. When the when the league started, were you gonna do ice after dark originally, or um how did that come about?

So when the league started, I was strictly only gonna be ice after dark. Then next thing I knew, I was gonna be a GM, and then next thing I knew I was gonna be league manager, and then I became co-commissioner, and then commissioner. Um, yeah, so it's just kind of before you know it, I'll be president of the United States, and uh there you go. Yeah, that's that's the trajectory that I think we're on right now. So yeah, it's just it's been a lot, it's been kind of coming quick. Um, we're only two weeks in and a lot's changed.

So I love that. Is it is this your first league or have you done leagues before this?

Oh no, no, no. Yeah, this is this is probably league 50, I would say, in the last two years. So yeah, it's been a lot.

In in comparison to other leagues versus this league right here. What what do you see different about this league? Do you see it being uh going further than those other leagues? Do you see it just being more professional than those other leagues? How how do you see that?

Um it's a 50-50 split. Um usually I've I've been in brand new leagues before. Usually they collapse after the first week. Um, brand new leagues are a hard thing to to do because there are so many current leagues that are out there. Right. And a lot of people just don't want to put the the effort into building a league from the ground up. Um takes a lot of patience. Uh getting the right guys in, keeping the right guys in, and getting the wrong guys out. Um, I think I think we're on a good path. If we can get a little bit more of the active player base, um, and we can make playoffs. Usually, if you can make the playoffs, you probably got a really good chance to succeed. Um, because once you've crowned a champion, those guys don't want to leave. Right. Um, and then other guys that see it happen, they want to stick around. And we have a lot of new bodies in this league. I mean, there's a lot of first-time leaguers in this league right now. And I think that's good. It it shows that it is a up-and-coming thing. You know, it's like it's good to see fresh faces. Um, because there are so many leagues out there, and I've been in so many of them, and you see the same guys in every single league. And sometimes it's a good thing, sometimes it's not a good thing. So I like seeing new guys, I like seeing fresh faces and and kind of just showing them what leagues can really be.

All right. I like that. I mean, I just from what I've seen, this being my first league, BZ's first league. Uh, it looks like the behind the scenes stuff is being taken care of by uh a good group of guys right now. And so I I I I like this league so far, and I I see it going far.

It and it could be better. Like, don't get me wrong. We we've we've got to tidy up some things on our end. Um at times it's a little unorganized, and um there's a lot coming in all at once, and and and you know, uh Webby, he's off on a on a job excursion, I guess you could say he won't be back for like another 17 days, so he's not in and around as much as some of us would like. Um, we've got other guys that work overnight, so they kind of sleep most of the day. So some of us are trying to work and run at the same time, and and things kind of get a little wonky. Um, a little more structure, I think. Once we get to that set structure where we know exactly how we want to do things, it's gonna make things a lot easier. Once we get a website up, that's a lot less time wasted putting stats in when it can auto-populate every night right after games, like clockwork. That's gonna take a lot of people's time and and free you up to get things done. So um little things here and there. Like I said, once we get through the first season, we'll kind of hit that that that upward trajectory and get where we need to be.

Well, so it's it's gotta be one night of the week, and I thought in my my my head, I was if I can get to Sunday, I've played three nights, it won't feel as bad because setting Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, I'm dying to play on Thursday. Right. So it's like I don't want to miss Thursday nights, and I kind of like doing what I do at the end of the week because I feel like Sunday nights have a little bit more impact, but that's a catch-22 because when I want to finish the weekend strong, I'm not there for my team. And I feel like the schedule's been kind of weird for us because that first week I felt like we played Edmonton, Colorado, Carolina, Columbus a lot that first week, week and a half. Yep. Um, now we're finally starting to get those teams down at the bottom, and no offense to those guys, but the Winnipegs, the Toronto's, the Pittsburgh's, the Chicago. We we haven't played those guys as much. So I don't truly know if they're as not well off in the standings as they should be because they were also playing the Edmontons and the Carolinas of the league. Right. Or you know, you know what I mean? So like I want to be involved in those games because that eight spot is important because we're we're bringing in eight out of the ten teams. Only two teams don't make the playoffs. Right. And we're sitting right there at that nine spot, but we could easily in a week be at the five spot. Right. Um, I mean, that's how close that race is at the bottom, just like it is at the top. It's a very, very tight race. Uh, one game decides if you're a one-seed or if you're a four-seed. So yeah, missing Sundays is tough. It's it's it's hard to end the week, not not out there on the ice.

My pick right now, I mean, it's undeniable. I think it's gotta be Columbus. I mean, even though even though that winning streak stopped at 14, they lost that number 15 game, and then immediately they won their next, they they they threw it out the window. Like, eh, it doesn't matter. Let's start a new streak. Right. They're probably my one seed right now. Um, the most impressive. Um, but number two for me is probably Colorado. Um, I think Colorado, they don't score the goals like everybody else. Right.

Um, I don't know how they would have done it. So I think I think their new owner just took over and he's figured things out, he's got them playing at a high level. I mean, what is it, six, seven games in a row they've won now? So yeah, they're they're legit. Watch out for them.

Um, because right now, at least we're kind of in a rhythm with each other. We're trying to, you know, work together. We've got a we've got a little bit of chemistry that we're starting to build and we can get along with each other. Right. Um Winnipeg, I mean, they're in open general chat going at each other. It's like at least take it to your team Discord, you know, like they're fighting each other in general chat. Um, they've got some issues. So um I I think I think we have the best chance from the bottom, I'd say seven to ten to get in that eight spot. I think Pittsburgh's kind of they're kind of sliding a little bit. Right. Um, I mean, flip a coin between them and us. I think Toronto's kind of projected a little higher than I would have expected after last week. Chicago, you never know what you're gonna get with Chicago. I I don't know how that team has a 9 and 13 record because when we played them Saturday, uh what was his name? Oh boy, he just he took it to us. What he scored like seven goals.

Um, I I would like to uh say yes. Um we're finally gonna get so generally, and I'll kind of explain this for everybody because I don't know if everybody absolutely knows how this works. Um usually when guys get banned or just dip on a team, you get an autofill to throw in your roster. Um we would have done that a lot sooner with our team, and I know there's a couple other teams that need it as well, but we were trying to build that ECU stack a lot heavier so we could do the draft Wednesday. Right. So what we're gonna do, um, yeah, we're gonna make we're gonna we're gonna try to make some moves in the draft Wednesday. Um we're gonna do a uh we were originally gonna do one player, we're gonna go ahead and let everybody who can draft two, draft two, unless they're unless their roster's full, they can't participate. Um and then following the draft, if there's any guys left, we're gonna auto-assign to the teams that are still short, if that makes sense. So, like we have 10 on our roster. We're gonna get the draft twice on Wednesday, and it's gonna start from bottom of the standings and work its way up. And then following the draft, we're gonna fill those rosters. So everybody needs to have 14 guys. Um, so yeah, I think we're gonna try to make a move in the draft. There's a couple guys I played with last night um after the games were over, a couple ECU guys, me and Big Dog, were actually um doing a little bit of scouting. Um, so I think we've got we've got a couple options that we're gonna go out and they're gonna help turn us around pretty quick, I think.
